- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. So I don't think it's any secret to
- 0:07Speaker 1: anybody that's been listening to the podcast for any period
- 0:10Speaker 1: of time that I'm not exactly what you would call
- 0:13Speaker 1: a member of the Todd Blanche fan club. And the
- 0:17Speaker 1: more information we get, the more we hear about this dude,
- 0:21Speaker 1: the less I like him. And the fact that he's
- 0:23Speaker 1: stalling the Epstein investigation and doing it so brazenly is
- 0:27Speaker 1: just unbelievable to me. And what's even more unbelievable is
- 0:32Speaker 1: that we actually have senators out there that are going
- 0:34Speaker 1: to confirm this dude. Because you know that's coming. I
- 0:39Speaker 1: don't want anybody to get any kind of, you know,
- 0:42Speaker 1: excitement going, only to have it come crashing down. This
- 0:46Speaker 1: guy is going to get confirmed. Those senators, they only
- 0:50Speaker 1: dance to one tune. And that tune is the one
- 0:53Speaker 1: being played by Donald Trump. So if we think that
- 0:57Speaker 1: these senators are going to come in and save the day,
- 0:59Speaker 1: I think we're going to be left highly disappointed when
- 1:02Speaker 1: all is said and done. Because I believe that Todd
- 1:04Speaker 1: Blanche is going to get confirmed. And I also believe
- 1:07Speaker 1: that he is highly unqualified for the job. Today's article
- 1:10Speaker 1: was published by Raw Story and the headline, Todd Blanche
- 1:14Speaker 1: accused of withholding huge keys to new Ghislaine Maxwell charges.
- 1:18Speaker 1: This article was authored by David Edwards. Acting Attorney General
- 1:22Speaker 1: Todd Blanche is withholding foreign language Epstein documents that could
- 1:26Speaker 1: be used to bring new charges against convicted sex trafficker
- 1:30Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell, a legal analyst has warned. Oh, there's no
- 1:33Speaker 1: doubt about it. All those documents they say are unresponsive
- 1:38Speaker 1: or duplicative, I have my doubts. And if they were
- 1:42Speaker 1: really being transparent, they'd just release them, right? If they're duplicative,
- 1:46Speaker 1: release them and let us see. But instead, all we
- 1:49Speaker 1: get is pushback. It gets called a hoax. They tell
- 1:53Speaker 1: us to move on. They say that it's just some
- 1:55Speaker 1: kind of hit job on President Trump. When we all
- 2:00Speaker 1: know it's something much larger than that. And then you
- 2:02Speaker 1: add on top of all of that, a guy like
- 2:04Speaker 1: Todd Blanche that's willing to do whatever the president wants
- 2:07Speaker 1: him to do. And we got ourselves quite the problem.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Former MSNOW anchor and attorney Katie Fang, who personally sued
- 2:16Speaker 1: Blanche over Epstein file compliance and won a court order
- 2:19Speaker 1: forcing him to act, made the accusation on her YouTube channel.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Her analysis was prompted by the death of modeling scout
- 2:27Speaker 1: Daniel Syed, 69, found dead Monday at his home in
- 2:32Speaker 1: the Paris suburb of Cologne, BBC News reported. And I
- 2:37Speaker 1: still have a lot of questions about that. We're certainly
- 2:39Speaker 1: not done talking about Daniel Syed, but I'm trying to
- 2:42Speaker 1: gather more information so that we have a good baseline.
- 2:47Speaker 1: I think that we've come to a point with that
- 2:49Speaker 1: story as of now where we're pretty caught up. There's
- 2:52Speaker 1: not much out there as far as information. And obviously,
- 2:56Speaker 1: once we have something to bite our teeth into, we'll
- 2:59Speaker 1: get that added to the catalog because there's still a
- 3:01Speaker 1: big story there. I just don't think there's enough information
- 3:05Speaker 1: to really dive in yet as far as, you know,
- 3:07Speaker 1: an episode. Now, behind the scenes, you better believe I'm digging,
- 3:12Speaker 1: especially considering the circumstances. But I think that Katie Fang
- 3:17Speaker 1: is certainly onto something. How many of these files are
- 3:19Speaker 1: in a different language? How many of those files have
- 3:23Speaker 1: not been released? Syed was under French investigation for allegedly
- 3:29Speaker 1: helping run Epstein's international sex trafficking network. French authorities had
- 3:34Speaker 1: never interviewed him before he died, BBC News reported. Fang
- 3:38Speaker 1: argued his death made the Justice Department's handling of the
- 3:41Speaker 1: case more urgent, not less. Well, this is the goal.
- 3:45Speaker 1: And I hate to keep saying it, but this is
- 3:47Speaker 1: the goal. They want people to pass away. They want
- 3:49Speaker 1: evidence to be destroyed or lost. And they want people
- 3:52Speaker 1: to move on. That's why they're not pursuing it the
- 3:55Speaker 1: way they should. That's why it's not the biggest story
- 3:59Speaker 1: in the whole world still. And unfortunately, it's a very
- 4:02Speaker 1: effective strategy. Look at how many important people in this
- 4:05Speaker 1: story have passed on. I mean, from Jeffrey Epstein to
- 4:09Speaker 1: Jean-Luc Brunel to Daniel Syed to Virginia Roberts. A lot
- 4:15Speaker 1: of people who knew a whole lot about Jeffrey Epstein.
- 4:19Speaker 1: But I'm sure it's just a coincidence, right? According to Fang,
- 4:24Speaker 1: the documents at the center of her accusation are foreign
- 4:27Speaker 1: language materials from the Justice Department, Epstein's investigation, none of
- 4:31Speaker 1: which have been made public. On June 25th, U.S. District
- 4:35Speaker 1: Judge Emmett Sullivan ordered Blanche to begin reviewing and producing
- 4:39Speaker 1: those materials under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, a bipartisan
- 4:43Speaker 1: law Trump signed in November 2025, requiring the full release
- 4:48Speaker 1: of Epstein-related records. Had his arm twisted, And if it
- 4:53Speaker 1: wasn't veto proof, he probably would have vetoed it. And
- 4:57Speaker 1: I think that's just damning. Imagine having a president that
- 5:01Speaker 1: would veto a bill like that. It's hard to wrap
- 5:04Speaker 1: your mind around it. But here we are. Blanche missed
- 5:10Speaker 1: the July 2nd deadline. In a court filing that day,
- 5:13Speaker 1: the Justice Department argued it was not practicable to review
- 5:16Speaker 1: foreign language documents and that the court should not supplant
- 5:20Speaker 1: Congress's acceptance of this explanation. which again is a big
- 5:24Speaker 1: middle finger to the judge in this case, who has
- 5:27Speaker 1: told him, I don't give a damn about your it's
- 5:29Speaker 1: not practicable excuse, Fang said. Go ahead and do what
- 5:33Speaker 1: you're already seven months behind on. And that's really what
- 5:36Speaker 1: it comes down to. The law says one thing. The
- 5:40Speaker 1: Justice Department is doing another. Now, what if you tried that?
- 5:45Speaker 1: I wonder how that would work out. I'm guessing not
- 5:48Speaker 1: so well. These foreign language documents that nobody has even seen,
- 5:53Speaker 1: they could be big, huge keys to being able to
- 5:55Speaker 1: continue to link and connect all these sexual predators, she added.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Maxwell is serving a 20-year U.S. prison sentence for sex trafficking,
- 6:04Speaker 1: but has never faced charges in France, where she was
- 6:07Speaker 1: born and holds citizenship. Blanche spent nine hours interviewing her
- 6:12Speaker 1: over two days in July of 2025, according to NBC News,
- 6:16Speaker 1: and gave survivors just 90 minutes after a 374-day wait,
- 6:21Speaker 1: according to a reconstruction by journalist Tara Palmieri. Well, that's true.
- 6:26Speaker 1: He had way more desire to sit down with Maxwell
- 6:29Speaker 1: than with the survivors, and I wonder why. I'm sure
- 6:32Speaker 1: it had nothing to do with a little quid pro quo, right?
- 6:38Speaker 1: One week after those meetings with Maxwell, she was moved
- 6:41Speaker 1: to a low-security Florida facility to a minimum-security prison camp
- 6:45Speaker 1: in Bryan, Texas, NBC News reported. a facility where a
- 6:49Speaker 1: Bureau of Prisons policy generally bars sex offenders. Fang argued
- 6:54Speaker 1: that Maxwell could still face prosecution in France if investigators
- 6:58Speaker 1: can build the case. And that's true. And she can
- 7:02Speaker 1: also face state charges, let's not forget. Dual sovereignty. Ghislaine
- 7:07Speaker 1: Maxwell has only been prosecuted for crimes that are specific
- 7:11Speaker 1: jurisdictionally to the Southern District of New York. Fang said,
- 7:14Speaker 1: it doesn't mean that she can't be extradited to France. Well,
- 7:17Speaker 1: I don't know if I want to do that. I'd
- 7:20Speaker 1: much rather Glenn Maxwell rotting in prison here. Now, after
- 7:23Speaker 1: her sentence is up, cool. After the 20? All right.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Right over to France for a more gel sentence? Count
- 7:30Speaker 1: me in. Building that case, Fang has argued, requires France
- 7:35Speaker 1: to appoint an investigating judge, a judicial official with the
- 7:38Speaker 1: power to subpoena witnesses and compel testimony. In its ongoing
- 7:42Speaker 1: probe targeting former Elite Models boss Gerald Murray, who Fang
- 7:46Speaker 1: said faces, Six new victim complaints filed last week. And
- 7:50Speaker 1: we've talked about Gerald Marie for years here. And how
- 7:53Speaker 1: he was part of the problem. One of the Jean-Luc
- 7:57Speaker 1: Brunel crew. Another guy that was friendly with Epstein. And
- 8:00Speaker 1: wouldn't you know it, another guy accused of being a
- 8:03Speaker 1: disgusting diddler. Maybe the silver lining from him dying on
- 8:06Speaker 1: Monday night is that the investigating judge gets a sign
- 8:10Speaker 1: more quickly in the Gerald Marie case, Fang said. Syed
- 8:14Speaker 1: was the second Epstein associate to die yesterday. before French
- 8:17Speaker 1: investigators could question him, BBC News reported. And yo, one
- 8:22Speaker 1: time around? Okay, maybe a coincidence. Two times now? I
- 8:26Speaker 1: have some doubts. But even if it was a situation
- 8:30Speaker 1: where they both took their own lives, what does that
- 8:33Speaker 1: tell you about what they know, what they're scared of,
- 8:35Speaker 1: what they don't want to say? Tells me a whole lot.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Modeling agent Jean-Luc Brunel was found hanged in a Paris prison.
- 8:44Speaker 1: in 2022 while awaiting trial on rape and sex trafficking charges.
- 8:49Speaker 1: An important link in the chain has just vanished into
- 8:51Speaker 1: thin air, without there ever being a chance to recover
- 8:54Speaker 1: the information Daniel Syed might have possessed, and given that
- 8:59Speaker 1: he was never questioned, a former model who gave a
- 9:01Speaker 1: deposition to French police in June told the BBC, and
- 9:05Speaker 1: that's really what it comes down to, when you have
- 9:07Speaker 1: somebody like Daniel Syed, who ends up dying mysteriously, Directly
- 9:12Speaker 1: after he's been named in the Epstein files, people are
- 9:14Speaker 1: going to have questions, right? And now, of course, there's
- 9:17Speaker 1: going to be an autopsy. There's going to be an investigation.
- 9:21Speaker 1: And we're going to be asked to accept whatever results
- 9:23Speaker 1: they come up with. And look, I'm not saying we
- 9:26Speaker 1: should just out of hand not accept results. We should.
- 9:30Speaker 1: If there's some concrete evidence, then yeah, that should be accepted.
- 9:34Speaker 1: My problem is that we never get concrete evidence. Instead,
- 9:37Speaker 1: we get more stories. We get more bullshit. And it
- 9:40Speaker 1: ends up leading to something like this. And then, of course,
- 9:43Speaker 1: everything that Daniel Syed might know or might have known
- 9:47Speaker 1: is gone. So that's one more piece of a puzzle,
- 9:51Speaker 1: one more link of the chain that we're not going
- 9:53Speaker 1: to have access to. And that makes things much harder.
- 9:57Speaker 1: The less information we have, the harder it's going to
- 9:59Speaker 1: be to put the pieces together. The idea is to
- 10:02Speaker 1: have as much context as possible. And when a guy
- 10:05Speaker 1: like Daniel Syed dies, well, that context dies with him.
- 10:09Speaker 1: So I think Katie Fang's onto something here. And there's
- 10:11Speaker 1: no reason that the DOJ shouldn't release the files that
- 10:15Speaker 1: are in different languages. Unfortunately, what they should do and
- 10:18Speaker 1: what they will do are two very different things. So
- 10:21Speaker 1: as we get more information from this investigation and we
- 10:24Speaker 1: find out more about the passing of Daniel Syed, we'll
- 10:27Speaker 1: get that added to the catalog. All the information that
- 10:31Speaker 1: goes with this episode can be found in the description box.
