Dougherty Dominates with Explosive Start | Albany Georgia News
Dougherty crushed Monroe in a high-energy softball showdown, exploding for 14 runs to Monroe’s 8, thanks to an early five-run first inning and clutch hitting from Jalexi Thomas. The Lady Trojans kept pouring it on with four more runs in the third, while Monroe fought back with eight runs led by Jamiya Duhart’s five RBIs. But Dougherty’s early lead and stellar pitching—Alona Harris followed by Thomas’s 10-strikeout relief performance—sealed the win. The teams face off again Thursday at 4 PM in a doubleheader rematch.
