- 0:00Psalm 100 in 1967 declares, before I was afflicted,
- 0:05I went astray, but now I obey your word. Today,
- 0:10Lord, I surrender my season to you, the place
- 0:14where I am, the circumstances surrounding me,
- 0:18the doors that have opened, the doors that have
- 0:21closed, the things that have changed, and the
- 0:25discomfort I do not completely understand. God.
- 0:29I do not want to run simply because something
- 0:32has become difficult, but I also do not want
- 0:35fear, familiarity, or comfort to keep me somewhere
- 0:40when you are calling me forward. Give me discernment.
- 0:44If you are telling me to stay, give me strength
- 0:47to stay. If you are telling me to wait, give
- 0:51me patience to wait. If you are telling me to
- 0:54return, give me humility to return. And if you
- 0:58are telling me to move, give me courage to move.
- 1:02God, teach me the difference between a difficult
- 1:05season I must endure and a completed season I
- 1:09must release. Do not allow temporary discomfort
- 1:13to make me abandon an assignment you are still
- 1:17developing. But do not allow temporary comfort
- 1:20to make me remain where your purpose is calling
- 1:24me to leave. Holy Spirit. direct my steps. God,
- 1:29Israel entered Egypt because Egypt was once a
- 1:33place of preservation, but Egypt was never the
- 1:37promise. So help me understand that something
- 1:40can have been right for yesterday without being
- 1:44right for tomorrow. Teach me to be grateful for
- 1:47what a place has given me without becoming imprisoned
- 1:51by familiarity. If a season has completed its
- 1:55assignment, Give me grace to release it. If a
- 2:00door has closed because you are redirecting me,
- 2:03keep me from continually trying to reopen it.
- 2:07If something that once fit no longer fits because
- 2:11you are developing something new within me, help
- 2:15me recognize the change. And if I am trying to
- 2:19leave before I have learned what this season
- 2:21came to teach me, slow me down. Do not let me
- 2:25escape the classroom before the lesson is complete
- 2:29Lord sometimes I ask you get me out of this But
- 2:35perhaps you are saying let me first get something
- 2:38out of you So refine me here if there is pride
- 2:42in me remove it if there is impatience in me
- 2:46Discipline it if there is fear in me strengthen
- 2:49my faith if I depend too much upon people's approval
- 2:54Bring me back to you. If my priorities have become
- 2:58confused, reorder them. If comfort has weakened
- 3:02my prayer life, awaken me again. If I have wandered,
- 3:07bring me back into obedience. Your word says,
- 3:10before I was afflicted, I went astray, but now
- 3:14I obey your word. So God, do not allow my difficult
- 3:18season to be wasted. If this season makes me
- 3:21pray again, let me pray. If it makes me seek
- 3:24you again, let me seek you. If it makes me reconsider
- 3:28my priorities, reorder my life. If it exposes
- 3:32something that needs to change, change me. If
- 3:35it teaches me something I will need in my next
- 3:39assignment, teach me completely. God, protect
- 3:43me from looking backward when you are calling
- 3:46me forward. I refuse to return to familiar bondage
- 3:51simply because unfamiliar freedom requires faith
- 3:54i refuse to worship comfort i refuse to worship
- 3:59familiarity i refuse to make security more important
- 4:03than obedience my security is in you my future
- 4:06is in you my purpose is in you therefore i declare
- 4:11i will not miss my next season because i am afraid
- 4:15to release the last one i will not move before
- 4:18god i will not remain behind god I will move
- 4:22with God. I declare that every temporary place
- 4:26will produce what God intends to develop in me.
- 4:29The pit will not be wasted. The waiting will
- 4:33not be wasted. The wilderness will not be wasted.
- 4:37The uncomfortable season will not be wasted.
- 4:40I will learn what I need to learn. I will surrender
- 4:43what I need to surrender. I will release what
- 4:46I need to release. And when God says move, I
- 4:50will move. God, order my steps. Sharpen my discernment.
- 4:55Quiet the voice of fear. Break unhealthy attachment
- 4:59to yesterday. Give me wisdom for today and prepare
- 5:04me for tomorrow. If the place is temporary, teach
- 5:08me there. If the season is difficult, refine
- 5:11me there. If the door is closing, direct me.
- 5:15If the road is opening, lead me. I declare. I
- 5:19will not confuse my current location with the
- 5:22conclusion of my story. God is still writing.
- 5:26God is still directing. God is still preparing.
- 5:29God is still repositioning. And whether he tells
- 5:32me to stay, wait, return, or move, I choose obedience
- 5:37over comfort. I am learning. I am moving. I am
- 5:42becoming. I am being refined for a purpose. In
- 5:46the name of Jesus Christ. Amen You are not alone.
