  Speaker 1: this is why he did so. All those who came

  Speaker 1: out of Egypt, all the men of military age, died

  Speaker 1: in the wilderness on the way after leaving Egypt. All

  Speaker 1: the people that came out had been circumcised, but all

  Speaker 1: the people born in the wilderness during the journey from

  Speaker 1: Egypt had not. The Israelites had moved about in the

  Speaker 1: wilderness forty years until all the men who were of

  Speaker 1: military age when they left Egypt had died, since they

  Speaker 1: had not obeyed the Lord. For the Lord had sworn

  Speaker 1: to them that they would not see the land he

  Speaker 1: had solemnly promised their ancestres to give us a land
• 2:44
  Speaker 1: flowing with milk had honey. So he raised up their sons.

  Speaker 1: Oh my God, the thing that he had for the

  Speaker 1: fathers he gave to the sons. Because of their disobedience,

  Speaker 1: he passed up that generation and dropped it to the

  Speaker 1: next generation. Oh, my God, So he raised up their

  Speaker 1: sons in their place, and These were the ones Joshua circumcised.

  Speaker 1: They were bleeding, but they were blessed, Oh my God,

  Speaker 1: from dying. They were still uncircumcised because they had not
• 3:29
  Speaker 1: been circumcised on the way. They were moving uncircumcised. They
• 3:36
  Speaker 1: were progressing uncircumcised. But you can only go so far
• 3:41
  Speaker 1: before God has to correct what has been uncorrected. They
• 3:48
  Speaker 1: moved along the way uncircumcised. A lot of us move
• 3:52
  Speaker 1: along the way and we get a lot of things done,
• 3:55
  Speaker 1: But that doesn't mean that God is totally pleased. Just
• 3:57
  Speaker 1: because you have progress mean that God has pleasure because
• 4:02
  Speaker 1: you are moving, but you're moving in an uncircumcised fashion,
• 4:06
  Speaker 1: and sooner a lady is gonna catch up to you.
• 4:09
  Speaker 1: And God says, I gotta fix this before you cross
• 4:13
  Speaker 1: over into your ultimate sacrifice. I got to get some
• 4:17
  Speaker 1: of your flesh cut out of the way. I don't
• 4:21
  Speaker 1: know who I'm talking to. And after the whole nation
• 4:25
  Speaker 1: had been circumcised, they remain where they were in camp
• 4:29
  Speaker 1: until they were healed. Isn't it funny how God will
• 4:33
  Speaker 1: stop everything for you to get healed. How God doesn't
• 4:38
  Speaker 1: want you to serve bleeding, serve wounded, that God wants
• 4:43
  Speaker 1: you to be healed and to recover, so that he
• 4:45
  Speaker 1: can get the fullness out of your life. Then the
• 4:48
  Speaker 1: Lord said to Joshua, today I have rolled away the
• 4:52
  Speaker 1: reproach of Egypt from you. The reproach, the residue, the
• 4:57
  Speaker 1: curse of Egypt has been rolled away. Even though you
• 5:00
  Speaker 1: weren't born in it, you have reproached from it. These
• 5:07
  Speaker 1: were born along the way, and yet the residue of
• 5:10
  Speaker 1: the experience of their fathers had affected the sons. And
• 5:15
  Speaker 1: he said, this day I have rolled away the reproach
• 5:18
  Speaker 1: of Egypt from you. So the place has been called
• 5:21
  Speaker 1: Guilgal to this day. I want you, I want you
• 5:24
  Speaker 1: to hear what I just said. They weren't in Egypt,
• 5:30
  Speaker 1: they weren't from Egypt. They were born after Egypt, but
• 5:36
  Speaker 1: the reproach of Egypt was still on them. Can you say, man,
• 5:41
  Speaker 1: say man? For the first lady, I say, all y'all
• 5:43
  Speaker 1: looking at her, I can't ap prec to you say something,

  Speaker 1: So go ahead and let's get that out. So the

  Speaker 1: place has been called Guilgau to this day. Okay. On

  Speaker 1: the evening of the fourteenth day of the month, while

  Speaker 1: camped at Gilgal on the plains of Jericho. The Israelites

  Speaker 1: celebrated the Passover. Now they've gone from bleeding to celebration.

  Speaker 1: The day after the Passover. That very day they ate

  Speaker 1: some of the produce of the land, eleven bread and
• 6:21
  Speaker 1: roasted grain. The manna stopped the day after. What did

  Speaker 1: he do? It stopped? The day after they ate this

  Speaker 1: food from the land. There was no longer any manna

  Speaker 1: for the Israelites. But that year they ate the produce

  Speaker 1: of canaan. Just because God stops doing what you're used

  Speaker 1: to doesn't mean he's not with you. You can't hold
• 6:52
  Speaker 1: God back to who he was while he's trying to
• 6:56
  Speaker 1: show you who he is. And you feel, honey, should

  Speaker 1: because the man of stopped. The man of stopped because

  Speaker 1: it's no longer necessary. Sometimes God removes things out of
• 7:07
  Speaker 1: your life because you don't need them like you used

  Speaker 1: to need them, and yet you're crying out for what

  Speaker 1: was at the expense of what he is. Oh help

  Speaker 1: me Jesus. Now, when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked

  Speaker 1: up and saw a man standing in front of him
• 7:26
  Speaker 1: as with a drone sword in his hand. And this
• 7:30
  Speaker 1: is not a natural man, This is a theophonic manifestation
• 7:35
  Speaker 1: of God himself and the Angelica host of Heaven, and
• 7:38
  Speaker 1: I believe a theophany within itself. Joshua went up to
• 7:42
  Speaker 1: him and asked, are you false for our enemies? That's

  Speaker 1: one thing about it. Joshua will kind of like Peter.

  Speaker 1: the Lord's army replied, take off your shoes, for the

  Speaker 1: place whereon you are standing is holy. It's holy. Somebody

  Speaker 1: who how y'all daring. We are in the Book of Joshua.

  Speaker 1: the Book of Joshua. We are in the Book of Yoshua.

  Speaker 1: There is a parallel between Joshua and Yoshua. Yeshua is
• 11:21
  Speaker 1: Joshua's pronunciation. Jesus reveals himself in the New Testament Yahua.

  Speaker 1: In the Old Testament, his shadow is Joshua. We are
• 11:34
  Speaker 1: in the Book of Joshua. This is not for the
• 11:36
  Speaker 1: faint of heart. This is not for the week. This
• 11:40
  Speaker 1: is not for people who are fragile and sensitive. This
• 11:45
  Speaker 1: is the book for people who are going to take
• 11:48
  Speaker 1: what the enemy stole from them. This is not for
• 11:56
  Speaker 1: those who cannot stand discomfort or drawn back at turbulence.

  Speaker 1: Because this is a book of transition. This is a
• 12:07
  Speaker 1: book that comes right after the death of Moses. It
• 12:12
  Speaker 1: is at the end of grieving. It is a ben
• 12:16
  Speaker 1: addiction to that which was and the birthing of that
• 12:20
  Speaker 1: which shall be. As I was with Moses, so shall
• 12:26
  Speaker 1: I be with you. I will be with you as
• 12:30
  Speaker 1: I was, but you will not be him. So this
• 12:36
  Speaker 1: is a time of transition. This is a time of discovery,
• 12:41
  Speaker 1: so that I might discover how to wear the glory
• 12:46
  Speaker 1: of Moses in the authenticity of who I am. I
• 12:52
  Speaker 1: cannot imitate him. I must be authentically Yashua. But his
• 12:58
  Speaker 1: anointing has come to rest upon me. If I am
• 13:02
  Speaker 1: sure of my own identity, as I was, God says,
• 13:08
  Speaker 1: as I was with Moses, so shall I be with you.
• 13:14
  Speaker 1: So don't be him, because I'm going to be the same.

  Speaker 1: But you're going to be you with my presence on you.

  Speaker 1: You're sure, Shashawah, you're going to possess the gate of
• 13:39
  Speaker 1: the enemy. I am going to use you to roll
• 13:44
  Speaker 1: back the reproach of the Egyptians on a people who
• 13:49
  Speaker 1: never met the Egyptians. Oh my God, are people who
• 13:56
  Speaker 1: have not met the Egyptians but are affected generationally by
• 14:02
  Speaker 1: their predecessors. The trauma of Egypt has fallen on the
• 14:09
  Speaker 1: children of the wilderness, and I am going to pull
• 14:15
  Speaker 1: the trauma off of them. Even though their trauma does
• 14:18
  Speaker 1: not match their memories. You do know you can inherit
• 14:25
  Speaker 1: trauma without going through the things that your grandparents went through.
• 14:30
  Speaker 1: They can pass on their phobias, their fears, their traumas,
• 14:34
  Speaker 1: their anxieties, and all of a sudden, you're acting in
• 14:37
  Speaker 1: a way that you don't understand, and you don't know
• 14:40
  Speaker 1: that it's not even coming from your birthday forward, is
• 14:43
  Speaker 1: coming before your birthday. Here it happened way back to
• 14:48
  Speaker 1: your grandparents or parents in Egypt, and they left you
• 14:52
  Speaker 1: in the will their fear, their trauma, their perversion, their brokenness,
• 15:03
  Speaker 1: their pain. And God says to Joshua, I've annointed you
• 15:08
  Speaker 1: to roll back the reproach of Egypt from a people
• 15:14
  Speaker 1: who had never been I wonder what's on you that
• 15:18
  Speaker 1: you never earned, that was passed down to you, That
• 15:26
  Speaker 1: you became the beneficiary for something for which you did
• 15:31
  Speaker 1: not labor, and yet it's all over you. Affects what
• 15:36
  Speaker 1: you're afraid of, affects how you react, affects your temperament,
• 15:40
  Speaker 1: affects your moods, affects your disposition, affects what you can't stand,
• 15:44
  Speaker 1: what you can't take. And you don't know why you
• 15:47
  Speaker 1: can't stand it because you've never been to Egypt, but
• 15:50
  Speaker 1: Egypt has been to you. Are you hearing what I'm
• 15:54
  Speaker 1: saying to you? So there we are, with Joshua having
• 15:59
  Speaker 1: this response ability not only cleansing their heart from the
• 16:03
  Speaker 1: grief of Moses, but cleansing their heart from the residual
• 16:06
  Speaker 1: effect of the ancestral curse that has passed from generation
• 16:12
  Speaker 1: to generation. He has to do it with a sharp
• 16:16
  Speaker 1: stone at Gilgal, and it's a bloody business. Sometimes getting
• 16:26
  Speaker 1: free is a bloody business. That's why we don't see
• 16:35
  Speaker 1: the loosing and deliverance that we used to see in
• 16:38
  Speaker 1: the church because we don't like we don't like how
• 16:41
  Speaker 1: messy deliverance is. Yeah. Yeah, in the old church we
• 16:48
  Speaker 1: would roll the floor, but now we're too cute to
• 16:51
  Speaker 1: be rolling on the floor. Because real deliverance, real breakthrough,
• 16:56
  Speaker 1: where you really turn into somebody new, not somebody who
• 17:00
  Speaker 1: has a church glaze over a sinner's hard. Real deliverance
• 17:06
  Speaker 1: requires some bloodshed and some pain and some swelling and
• 17:11
  Speaker 1: some suffering and a time of silence while you heal.
• 17:18
  Speaker 1: Real deliverance is painful. It doesn't accommodate your nervous system.
• 17:24
  Speaker 1: It's not designed to make you feel good about yourself.
• 17:27
  Speaker 1: And we live in a generation where everybody wants to
• 17:30
  Speaker 1: make you feel good. And if they don't make you
• 17:32
  Speaker 1: feel good, you leave and go to another church. And
• 17:35
  Speaker 1: if they don't make you believe feel good, you leave
• 17:37
  Speaker 1: and go to another church. And if this husband don't
• 17:39
  Speaker 1: make you feel good, you'll get you another one. And
• 17:41
  Speaker 1: if that one don't make you feel good, you'll get
• 17:43
  Speaker 1: you another one. Because you keep feeling good, but you
• 17:46
  Speaker 1: never get better, because sometimes in order to get better,
• 17:50
  Speaker 1: you got to hurt and bleed and swell up and
• 17:53
  Speaker 1: scab up and heal up and go through deliverance to
• 17:56
  Speaker 1: get to the place where you get the breakthrough that
• 17:59
  Speaker 1: you really need. But everybody's so busy being soft in
• 18:02
  Speaker 1: their parenting and soft in their pastoring, and soft in
• 18:06
  Speaker 1: their preaching, that we're producing soft leaders and soft men
• 18:11
  Speaker 1: and soft women. And everybody's so soft that you ought
• 18:14
  Speaker 1: to stamp charming on your head because you're too soft
• 18:18
  Speaker 1: to be a leader. Now you hear what I'm saying too.
• 18:37
  Speaker 1: You gotta take people's temperature before you tell them the truth.
• 18:42
  Speaker 1: They can't handle the truth, and so Joshua has to
• 18:47
  Speaker 1: do be this complicated task of leading them through this
• 18:52
  Speaker 1: critical situation, surrounded by the king of the Canaanites, surrounded
• 18:59
  Speaker 1: by enemies who are on both sides of the Jordan.

  Speaker 1: Let me spend some time with the Jordan, because the
• 19:11
  Speaker 1: Jordan is very, very important to the texts, if not
• 19:17
  Speaker 1: the star of the texts, the Jordan is the impetus
• 19:22
  Speaker 1: through which the Heathens now respect the Israelites because of
• 19:27
  Speaker 1: what God did through the Jordan. Let us begin by
• 19:33
  Speaker 1: understanding that the text does not tell us the topography
• 19:38
  Speaker 1: of the Jordan. And if you don't understand the topography
• 19:43
  Speaker 1: of the Jordan, then the text loses its power. Number One,
• 19:49
  Speaker 1: I have been to Jerusalem, and I've been to Jordan,
• 19:52
  Speaker 1: and I've been in the Jordan River, and I've seen it,
• 19:55
  Speaker 1: and I saw the Sea of Galilee which is above it,
• 19:59
  Speaker 1: which flows down into it, and I understand that it
• 20:03
  Speaker 1: goes all the way back to Mount Hebron. You remember
• 20:07
  Speaker 1: when the Bible said, behold, how good and pleasant it
• 20:11
  Speaker 1: is for brethren to dwell together in unity. It's like
• 20:14
  Speaker 1: the oil that fell upon the head of Erin, onto
• 20:17
  Speaker 1: his beards and onto his skirts. It is like the
• 20:20
  Speaker 1: dew that fell on Mount Herman. The dew that fell
• 20:24
  Speaker 1: on Mount Herman was famous. Many theologists think that Mount
• 20:28
  Speaker 1: Herman and Mount the Amount of Transfiguration, where the same mountains.
• 20:32
  Speaker 1: At the bottom of the mountains, the flowers were a
• 20:35
  Speaker 1: result of the dew and the condensation that created a
• 20:39
  Speaker 1: waterfall that contributed to the Jordan River that flowed through
• 20:44
  Speaker 1: the Sea of Galilee. The Jordan River has many contributing
• 20:51
  Speaker 1: forces that causes it to flow. It is fresh water. Now.
• 20:56
  Speaker 1: Notice I started on the mountain, started on the mountain,
• 21:02
  Speaker 1: but it slides down from the mountain to the Sea
• 21:07
  Speaker 1: of Galilee. When I went to the Sea of Galilee,
• 21:09
  Speaker 1: it was after I had gone down the road to Jericho,
• 21:13
  Speaker 1: and it was a winding road down. A certain man
• 21:15
  Speaker 1: went down from Jerusalem to Jericho. See, anytime you're Jerusalem,
• 21:20
  Speaker 1: you had a high place. That's why the Bible called
• 21:22
  Speaker 1: it a city is set up on a hill that
• 21:24
  Speaker 1: cannot be here. Jerusalem is a high place. But on
• 21:27
  Speaker 1: your way down to Jericho, you're coming down, like the
• 21:32
  Speaker 1: water is coming down. It's coming down, it's coming down.
• 21:37
  Speaker 1: And there the Sea of Galilee was down at the bottom,
• 21:40
  Speaker 1: and it was beautiful and it was wonderful, and it's
• 21:42
  Speaker 1: fresh water, fresh fresh water, drinkable water, replenishing water. That's
• 21:47
  Speaker 1: why the cities are built around water, because water sustains life.
• 21:53
  Speaker 1: And in the early days, most cities were built around water,
• 21:57
  Speaker 1: so that they would have the sustenance that was necessary
• 22:01
  Speaker 1: to support life. Watch me, I'm headed somewhere. Now, We're
• 22:06
  Speaker 1: going down, somebody say, we're going down. As the Jordan
• 22:11
  Speaker 1: begins to collect all of its contributing factors and continues
• 22:17
  Speaker 1: to flow, it flows with such power and such grace,
• 22:22
  Speaker 1: until as it continues to go down, it goes lower
• 22:26
  Speaker 1: and lower until it goes below sea level. And eventually,
• 22:34
  Speaker 1: if you study it out, the Jordan flows into what
• 22:38
  Speaker 1: is called the dead Sea, and there is nothing that
• 22:42
  Speaker 1: can flow. There's nothing that can survive in the dead sea,
• 22:47
  Speaker 1: because the dead sea is so salty that you could
• 22:52
  Speaker 1: literally stand up and walk across it. How did something
• 22:57
  Speaker 1: start so fresh? How could it be up on the
• 23:03
  Speaker 1: mountain and be so fresh and keep going down and
• 23:09
  Speaker 1: down and down until the fresh water has turned to
• 23:13
  Speaker 1: salt water? Are you following what I'm saying now? The
• 23:18
  Speaker 1: Jordan River in the early days, in the historical days,
• 23:22
  Speaker 1: was about one point three billion cubic meters per year.
• 23:28
  Speaker 1: One point three billion is a lot of cubic meters,
• 23:33
  Speaker 1: just twenty to thirty million cubic meters per year now.
• 23:39
  Speaker 1: But originally the Jordan was a force to be reckoned with.
• 23:44
  Speaker 1: It was forceful, it was full, and during certain seasons
• 23:49
  Speaker 1: it would overflood the banks, and it was powerful. And
• 23:54
  Speaker 1: when Joshua crossing Sir Jordan, it is at the peak
• 23:58
  Speaker 1: of a season where the banks are overflowing. But don't
• 24:03
  Speaker 1: let it be lost on you that the Jordan is
• 24:06
  Speaker 1: coming down. In fact, some scholars teach us that the
• 24:11
  Speaker 1: Jordan's literal translation for the word Jordan means to come down,
• 24:20
  Speaker 1: to come down. The text doesn't give us the topography.
• 24:25
  Speaker 1: You have to do your own research to get the topography.
• 24:28
  Speaker 1: But the text is coming down. So if the text
• 24:32
  Speaker 1: is coming down, the water is coming down. And the
• 24:35
  Speaker 1: water is coming down. I was having a conversation with
• 24:38
  Speaker 1: a girl who's a scientist, and I asked her what
• 24:41
  Speaker 1: she thought about the rainforest in Brazil, and she said,
• 24:45
  Speaker 1: before we talk about the rainforest in Brazil, she said,
• 24:48
  Speaker 1: we have to deal with the sub Saharan desert in Africa,
• 24:54
  Speaker 1: because it is a dust storm in the sub Saharan
• 24:58
  Speaker 1: areas of Africa creates the clouds that blow over to
• 25:03
  Speaker 1: Brazil that causes the rain. Cause and effect. If there
• 25:12
