- 0:00Speaker 1: Live from Midtown Manhattan, here comes the Mark Simone Show on.
- 0:07Speaker 2: 710WOR.
- 0:10Speaker 3: Hey, well, we got a lot to get to this morning.
- 0:13Speaker 3: We'll get to Jerry Seinfeld. We've got some problems out
- 0:15Speaker 3: there on the road. We'll get to France. We'll get
- 0:17Speaker 3: to Bruce Blakeman. We'll get to Mamdani may have committed
- 0:21Speaker 3: a crime. We'll get to President Trump, of course. We'll
- 0:24Speaker 3: get to the midterms.
- 0:25Speaker 4: 14 days.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Two weeks from today, Election Day, two weeks from today,
- 0:31Speaker 3: you're in the final stretch now. You think you've seen
- 0:33Speaker 3: a lot of political ads now? Watch the next two weeks.
- 0:36Speaker 3: You're going to see an incredible blitz of political ads.
- 0:39Speaker 3: We'll get to Ilhan Omar. Looks like they got her.
- 0:43Speaker 3: We'll get to the Super Bowl halftime show. It looks
- 0:46Speaker 3: like we got a decision on who it is. Now,
- 0:50Speaker 3: two weeks until Election Day, two weeks. The way it
- 0:53Speaker 3: stands now, you listen to all these shows, one person
- 0:56Speaker 3: thinks this, one person thinks that, this guy's got this opinion,
- 0:58Speaker 3: she's got that opinion, they go back and forth. Here's
- 1:00Speaker 3: the way it actually stands right now. Looks very good
- 1:03Speaker 3: for Republicans to take the Senate, keep the Senate, maybe
- 1:06Speaker 3: even gain a seat or two. That looks very good.
- 1:09Speaker 3: The House, too close to call. Nobody's opinion matters at
- 1:12Speaker 3: this point. You can't predict anything right now. It's too
- 1:15Speaker 3: close to call. Uh, it's everything's within the margin of
- 1:19Speaker 3: error in the real polls, not the fake ones you
- 1:21Speaker 3: see on, although the fake ones in these last couple
- 1:24Speaker 3: of weeks, the fake ones all start correcting themselves. You
- 1:28Speaker 3: know how they'll tell you, uh, 98% of the time
- 1:30Speaker 3: we were right. Yeah. They were wrong. 99% of the time,
- 1:34Speaker 3: what they do is the last couple of days they correct.
- 1:37Speaker 3: So that the final poll is correct. And then they
- 1:39Speaker 3: can claim that was, they were correct. They were, but, uh,
- 1:42Speaker 3: they lied to you the whole election season. And at
- 1:45Speaker 3: the very last minute, just correct it. But too close
- 1:49Speaker 3: to call. The House could go either way right now. Now,
- 1:53Speaker 3: you got another factor in there. One is the Republicans
- 1:57Speaker 3: have been moving up in the polls. Democrats have not.
- 2:01Speaker 3: So that momentum is usually an important thing in the
- 2:03Speaker 3: last couple weeks. And another factor is President Trump will
- 2:07Speaker 3: be out there on the trail just blitzing America with
- 2:10Speaker 3: these appearances. That can make a difference. It's not the
- 2:13Speaker 3: speeches at those rallies. I mean, those are a lot
- 2:16Speaker 3: of fun. But the reason they do these rallies is
- 2:20Speaker 3: when you go out there and you're going to appear
- 2:22Speaker 3: and you can have 10,000 people to rally, most of
- 2:25Speaker 3: the time 30,000 people apply for the tickets. Only 10,000
- 2:28Speaker 3: get in. But it's 30,000. And in the process, they've
- 2:32Speaker 3: collected the emails, the phone numbers of all those people.
- 2:36Speaker 3: This is what they call the ground game. They can
- 2:38Speaker 3: contact them right up to Election Day, make sure they
- 2:40Speaker 3: go vote. That's the real reason. for the rally. So
- 2:44Speaker 3: he's literally crisscrossing the country every day. He's going to
- 2:47Speaker 3: a different state today, goes to North Carolina every afternoon,
- 2:52Speaker 3: middle of the afternoon, gets on a plane, flies to
- 2:54Speaker 3: another state, does a three hour rally, flies home to
- 2:57Speaker 3: the white house at night. Now, um, the fact that
- 3:00Speaker 3: he's going to North Carolina means they haven't given up,
- 3:03Speaker 3: given up on North Carolina. That's the one state that
- 3:06Speaker 3: looked pretty hopeless for the Republicans. North Carolina is the
- 3:10Speaker 3: one where they had the real problem, but it looks like, uh,
- 3:13Speaker 3: They wouldn't schedule this trip. They wouldn't have him go
- 3:14Speaker 3: there if they hadn't seen something in the real polling
- 3:17Speaker 3: that gave them some optimism. So he's going to North
- 3:20Speaker 3: Carolina later today. He's also trying to settle things in
- 3:25Speaker 3: the Russia-Ukraine war. Zelensky and him are fighting. They never
- 3:31Speaker 3: got along, really. You know, if you want to not
- 3:34Speaker 3: impress Trump, show up at the White House in a T-shirt.
- 3:36Speaker 3: That's not the right thing for Trump. Remember that first
- 3:39Speaker 3: meeting that got off to a bad start? And Trump
- 3:42Speaker 3: is kind of right about that. You come into the
- 3:45Speaker 3: White House for the most important meeting, but the president
- 3:48Speaker 3: of the United States wearing a t-shirt, it's disrespectful. It's insulting.
- 3:53Speaker 3: So the next time he put on some, some kind
- 3:55Speaker 3: of a suit, it was sort of a suit. He
- 3:58Speaker 3: tried a little, but these two never got along. They
- 4:01Speaker 3: never really will get along. But there's been a rough
- 4:07Speaker 3: patch in the last few weeks. uh zolensky has been
- 4:11Speaker 3: brilliant inventing manufacturing his own weapons his own missiles his
- 4:15Speaker 3: own drones state-of-the-art deadly drones by the thousands he's been
- 4:21Speaker 3: using them against russia very effectively but to do it
- 4:24Speaker 3: you need starlink there's a special military version of starlink
- 4:29Speaker 3: called space shield and that's what they've been using And
- 4:35Speaker 3: it's been so helpful. In real time, they can see
- 4:38Speaker 3: everything on the ground. They can direct the drones. They
- 4:40Speaker 3: can control everything. Well, in the last couple of weeks,
- 4:43Speaker 3: all of a sudden, for a few days, the space
- 4:46Speaker 3: shield slowed down. There was a slowdown in the data coming.
- 4:50Speaker 3: They were getting a little time delay on it, so
- 4:52Speaker 3: it wasn't as effective. It hurt Ukraine for a couple
- 4:56Speaker 3: of days. Everybody was yelling, it's President Trump. Well, first
- 5:01Speaker 3: they were yelling was Elon Musk. This is Elon Musk's
- 5:03Speaker 3: Starlink military version. He shut it down. He slowed it down.
- 5:07Speaker 3: He throttled it down. Musk put out a statement immediately saying,
- 5:10Speaker 3: I have nothing to do with it. I've sold the software.
- 5:14Speaker 3: It's controlled by the US military, the president of the
- 5:18Speaker 3: United States. They would have to slow it down. So
- 5:20Speaker 3: then they went after Trump and, uh, Trump denied it,
- 5:28Speaker 3: and it looks like there's no evidence that Musk... There's
- 5:31Speaker 3: no evidence anywhere that Musk shut it down. There's no
- 5:33Speaker 3: evidence anywhere that Trump shut it down. It looks like
- 5:36Speaker 3: what can often happen. You see it on your own computer,
- 5:39Speaker 3: your own Wi-Fi, all the time. Somehow, you know, for
- 5:42Speaker 3: a day or two, it slows down for some reason,
- 5:45Speaker 3: some technical thing. So the left has gone nuts. There's
- 5:49Speaker 3: one newspaper in England, The Telegraph, this one newspaper... There's
- 5:56Speaker 3: 6,000 billion newspapers in the world. This one newspaper published
- 5:59Speaker 3: a story that it was Musk that throttled it down,
- 6:03Speaker 3: but only because Trump asked him to. It was a
- 6:07Speaker 3: conspiracy between Trump and Musk to slow it down. Now,
- 6:11Speaker 3: there's no evidence of this anywhere, but the left has
- 6:14Speaker 3: run with this story. If you're watching Morning Joe, they
- 6:17Speaker 3: did this story all morning as if it's been proven.
- 6:19Speaker 3: It's just a story from one crazy newspaper. No evidence
- 6:23Speaker 3: that it really happened. Trump asked about Zelensky. Zelensky says
- 6:27Speaker 3: you're on the wrong side of history on this one.
- 6:30Speaker 5: Zelensky said it? Zelensky doesn't know what he's talking about.
- 6:34Speaker 5: Zelensky is a man that should have had this war
- 6:36Speaker 5: settled a long time ago. If he would have listened
- 6:39Speaker 5: to me, he would have made a much better deal
- 6:41Speaker 5: a long time ago, and he'd have a million people
- 6:43Speaker 5: living from his side.
- 6:45Speaker 3: Yeah, that may be true. You know, listen, Zelensky's been
- 6:47Speaker 3: brilliant in this war, as they say, manufacturing, setting up factories, but...
- 6:52Speaker 3: Let's be honest. You walk into an electronics store. You
- 6:55Speaker 3: want to buy something. Zelensky behind the counter. How much
- 6:59Speaker 3: would you trust this guy? He's got that whole look. No, no, no.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Listen to me. I wouldn't trust this guy at all.
- 7:06Speaker 3: Trump is calling for a meeting with Putin. and Zelensky.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Zelensky doesn't want to go. Would he meet with just Putin?
- 7:13Speaker 3: I don't know. He was asked.
- 7:14Speaker 4: Would you meet with Presidents Xi and Putin to discuss
- 7:18Speaker 4: the end of the war without Zelensky there?
- 7:20Speaker 5: Well, I would meet in order, anything I can do
- 7:23Speaker 5: to end the war, whether somebody's there or not.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Yeah, that's, hey, that's what you do. Anything you can do.
- 7:29Speaker 3: So France is burning down to the ground. It's a
- 7:34Speaker 3: Every year they have the student protest. That's how this started. This,
- 7:36Speaker 3: what you're seeing now, is not student protesting. This is
- 7:40Speaker 3: Muslim extremists. This is Antifa. This is communist groups. These
- 7:46Speaker 3: are the most awful groups on earth. They've all infiltrated
- 7:50Speaker 3: the protest and taken it over. They're trying to burn
- 7:53Speaker 3: everything to the ground. Paris, everything. It's been quite obvious
- 7:59Speaker 3: they're going after Jewish-owned businesses. Anything Muslim, mosque, anything, somehow
- 8:05Speaker 3: they don't touch it. They're trying to take out government buildings.
- 8:09Speaker 3: They're trying to take out any landmarks. If you're thinking
- 8:14Speaker 3: of going to France, forget it. This is going to
- 8:16Speaker 3: go on for a while. In fact, tourists in France
- 8:20Speaker 3: basically have to get the hell out of there. There's
- 8:21Speaker 3: nothing to do. Everything is closed, by the way. The Louvre,
- 8:25Speaker 3: they tried to take the Louvre. The Louvre had a
- 8:28Speaker 3: ton of security people. But they can't open. It's completely
- 8:31Speaker 3: closed down. Normally 20,000 visitors a day at the Louvre.
- 8:34Speaker 3: It's closed. They can't open it. Same with the Eiffel Tower.
- 8:38Speaker 3: That's a big thing to go into the Eiffel Tower,
- 8:41Speaker 3: up to the top, or that great Jules Verne restaurant
- 8:44Speaker 3: in the middle. But just about everything is closed. Versailles,
- 8:50Speaker 3: that's another big tourist center. That's closed. You can't go
- 8:54Speaker 3: anywhere near that. All the shopping districts have been totally
- 8:58Speaker 3: affected and disrupted. Outside the city, as I say, Versailles
- 9:03Speaker 3: and everything else, shut down, dangerous. These are real serious rioters.
- 9:08Speaker 3: These are not student protesters. These are Islamic extremists. These
- 9:13Speaker 3: are communist extremists. This is Antifa, and they can get very,
- 9:17Speaker 3: very violent. They're burning, looting. It's absolutely disgusting. The problem
- 9:23Speaker 3: is it's France. It's Macron. He's not doing anything. There
- 9:27Speaker 3: should be a massive show of force to put an
- 9:30Speaker 3: end to this immediately. They had some problems in Italy.
- 9:33Speaker 3: About 300 rioters showed up. And the military was called
- 9:37Speaker 3: out immediately and stopped them right then and there. That's
- 9:40Speaker 3: what you got to do. Now, I say bring out
- 9:43Speaker 3: the military. Who are you going to bring out? The
- 9:44Speaker 3: French military? Well, the French military. Good luck with that.
- 9:50Speaker 3: That's like calling in a Boy Scout troop. So I
- 9:53Speaker 3: don't know what they're going to do in France. And
- 9:54Speaker 3: there's nothing that's going to improve here. The country has
- 9:58Speaker 3: been infiltrated by all these people. As Ted Cruz said,
- 10:03Speaker 3: they committed cultural suicide, left the border wide open. The
- 10:07Speaker 3: country has been overrun by these people. Basically, the French
- 10:10Speaker 3: people are going to have to leave at some point.
- 10:12Speaker 3: President Trump.
- 10:13Speaker 5: They are incompatible with Western values. They despise everything about
- 10:20Speaker 5: France and they're destroying that country. And we're not going
- 10:24Speaker 5: to let that happen to this country.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Yes.
- 10:27Speaker 3: It's not like, you know, in the old days of immigrants,
- 10:29Speaker 3: they came to this country for the American dream. They assimilated,
- 10:34Speaker 3: they opened a business, you know, they became great Americans.
- 10:38Speaker 3: The immigrants, this is different. These are migrants. These are
- 10:41Speaker 3: illegals for the most part. They left the border wide open.
- 10:44Speaker 3: They come in, uh, Normally, you go to France because
- 10:47Speaker 3: you want to be French. You want to be living
- 10:50Speaker 3: in Paris and having a great... No, they come in
- 10:52Speaker 3: because they can't stand France. They hate everything about it,
- 10:54Speaker 3: the culture, the institutions. They want to burn it to
- 10:57Speaker 3: the ground. Make it third world. And Trump is right
- 11:00Speaker 3: about that.
- 11:01Speaker 5: If you want to see what is at stake in
- 11:03Speaker 5: this election, just look at what's happening in France, a
- 11:07Speaker 5: once great nation that is.
- 11:08Speaker 3: Being conquered, looted and burned to the ground.
- 11:11Speaker 5: By migrants, jihadists and communists who hate Christianity. And they hate, frankly,
- 11:18Speaker 5: the Western civilization itself.
- 11:22Speaker 3: Now, Mamdani, Mayor Mamdani in New York may be committing
- 11:25Speaker 3: a crime. They may be able at some point to
- 11:29Speaker 3: actually charge him with a crime. You know, he's going
- 11:31Speaker 3: after ICE. ICE is Immigration Customs Enforcement. It's a law
- 11:36Speaker 3: enforcement agency that enforces the laws that are on the books.
- 11:40Speaker 3: If you're here illegally, they can arrest you and deport you.
- 11:44Speaker 3: They're not really doing that just because you're here illegally.
- 11:47Speaker 3: They decided way back in the beginning they would go
- 11:50Speaker 3: just after the illegals who are criminals, who are committing crimes,
- 11:54Speaker 3: who are doing robberies and rapes and they've got convictions
- 11:57Speaker 3: or gang members. So that's who they've been deporting. And Mamdani,
- 12:03Speaker 3: of course, denouncing them. The Democrats hate this. They want
- 12:06Speaker 3: these crazy illegals that are committing crimes all over the
- 12:09Speaker 3: streets for all sorts of reasons. But the latest thing
- 12:12Speaker 3: is Mamdani has sent a letter to every parking garage,
- 12:16Speaker 3: every parking lot, every business. Do not let ICE use
- 12:20Speaker 3: your parking lot, your parking garage. Do not let them
- 12:24Speaker 3: park there. Obviously, when they come to New York, they
- 12:27Speaker 3: have to come with a lot of vehicles. They need
- 12:28Speaker 3: to park them somewhere. So he said, ICE is not
- 12:33Speaker 3: authorized to use your garage or lots. It was a
- 12:35Speaker 3: very serious letter and a very threatening letter. You know,
- 12:38Speaker 3: you get a letter from the city of New York
- 12:40Speaker 3: telling you, you better not do this. You're going to
- 12:43Speaker 3: get scared. The city of New York has a lot
- 12:45Speaker 3: of enforcement regulation power. You run a business here, even
- 12:48Speaker 3: a parking lot, a lot of things they could do
- 12:50Speaker 3: to you. So it's a menacing, threatening letter. But it
- 12:54Speaker 3: may be illegal. Legal scholars looking at this say it
- 12:57Speaker 3: is fairly close to committing a crime. Obstruction of justice
- 13:02Speaker 3: could be illegal. The Department of Justice is looking into it.
- 13:07Speaker 3: You can't interfere with law enforcement. You can't try to
- 13:11Speaker 3: stop the New York City police from doing something in
- 13:13Speaker 3: New York. You can't get in their way and try
- 13:15Speaker 3: to block them. Well, same thing with the federal law enforcement.
- 13:19Speaker 3: And remember, federal law supersedes local law. Federal law enforcement
- 13:25Speaker 3: agencies supersede local law enforcement agencies. So they're looking at
- 13:30Speaker 3: Mamdani as a possible criminal, possibly committed a crime. Hey,
- 13:35Speaker 3: we'll get to Jerry Seinfeld coming up. He is touring
- 13:40Speaker 3: the country. You know, this guy created the greatest sitcom ever.
- 13:45Speaker 3: He made himself over a billion dollars. And he likes
- 13:50Speaker 3: to work. He's a hardworking guy. He's always been a
- 13:53Speaker 3: hardworking guy. He loves to go on stage. He loves
- 13:55Speaker 3: to tour the country, loves to do standup. And you
- 13:58Speaker 3: might say, why would a guy after all that success
- 14:02Speaker 3: with Seinfeld with a billion, why do you want to
- 14:04Speaker 3: tour the country? It's a rough life. You know, even
- 14:07Speaker 3: when you got private jets in the finest hotel suites,
- 14:09Speaker 3: you're still on the road, still traveling every day, flying.
- 14:13Speaker 3: But I asked him that once. I said, why do
- 14:14Speaker 3: you want to keep? And he said, That's what I do.
- 14:18Speaker 3: He said, it's like a dog. When you take the
- 14:20Speaker 3: dog in the park and you take the leash off
- 14:22Speaker 3: and he's so happy and just runs, he goes, that's
- 14:24Speaker 3: what guys like me do when we do standup. We
- 14:27Speaker 3: want to just be turned loose on the stage. So,
- 14:31Speaker 3: and it's a great thing. And he tours all over.
- 14:33Speaker 3: He's been doing that for many years since Seinfeld went
- 14:36Speaker 3: off the air. Well, at college campuses, the crazy left-wing
- 14:40Speaker 3: communist college campuses, they started to boo him. You got
- 14:44Speaker 3: to remember Jerry Seinfeld to them, He's old. He's an
- 14:49Speaker 3: old dinosaur to them, to the 18-year-olds. Remember when you
- 14:52Speaker 3: were a kid and you looked at Bob Hope? Bob
- 14:54Speaker 3: Hope was the biggest comedian in the world. But when
- 14:57Speaker 3: you're a kid, you look, who is this old guy?
- 14:58Speaker 3: He's like from a relic from another era. This old,
- 15:03Speaker 3: old guy from the past. Well, that's how they look
- 15:05Speaker 3: at Jerry Seinfeld, believe it or not. So the college
- 15:09Speaker 3: campus kids would boo him. He would do these, that
- 15:12Speaker 3: was a big thing for a comedian. The college shows,
- 15:14Speaker 3: you can get a couple thousand people in the auditorium.
- 15:16Speaker 3: They would boo him and he had to stop doing colleges.
- 15:19Speaker 3: He couldn't do them anymore. So now he does major
- 15:22Speaker 3: venues in different cities and he's in Chicago and these
- 15:27Speaker 3: communist anti-Semites, anti-Israel buy tickets and they come in and
- 15:32Speaker 3: disrupt his show. They start screaming at him and it
- 15:34Speaker 3: gets really ugly. This is Chicago. Listen, I'm right in
- 15:38Speaker 3: the middle of a show. This is a bad heckler. Seinfeld! Seinfeld!
- 15:43Speaker 3: Listen to me.
- 15:44Speaker 6: You're a racist.
- 15:46Speaker 4: There are 74,000 dead Palestinians. 74,000 Palestinians have been killed
- 15:58Speaker 4: by the racist state of Israel.
- 16:01Speaker 3: Get this guy! yeah go online and watch the video
- 16:16Speaker 3: as the guy's yelling the Seinfeld starts dancing starts doing
- 16:19Speaker 3: this dance it's very funny and then he said you
- 16:22Speaker 3: couldn't really hear it he said I'm going to find
- 16:24Speaker 3: out how much you paid for your ticket and I'm
- 16:26Speaker 3: going to send that much to Israel as a donation
- 16:29Speaker 3: and he's announced he'll do that anybody that comes into
- 16:32Speaker 3: Hegel and buys tickets. He'll find out how much you paid.
- 16:35Speaker 3: That amount will be donated to Israel. So if you
- 16:37Speaker 3: come in and buy these tickets, it will become a
- 16:39Speaker 3: donation to Israel. Tough to have to go through. Anyway,
- 16:42Speaker 3: we'll get back to this. We've got more of these
- 16:45Speaker 3: clips we'll get to throughout the show. A lot more
- 16:47Speaker 3: to talk about. It's Mark Simone here, 9 to noon
- 16:50Speaker 3: every day, three hours every day, 9 to noon every day,
- 16:53Speaker 3: here on 710WOR. The Mark Simone Show.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Live from the WOR LifeVac studios.
- 17:04Speaker 3: Well, hey, speaking of protests, J.D. Vance out on the
- 17:09Speaker 3: campaign trail. And, oh, he got heckled. The heckler somehow
- 17:15Speaker 3: not only got into the rally, but, you know, they
- 17:18Speaker 3: got seats right behind the candidate. Those are important because
- 17:22Speaker 3: when you watch it on TV, those are the faces
- 17:24Speaker 3: right behind him. So this guy got right behind him
- 17:28Speaker 3: and started yelling and screaming. This was in North Carolina
- 17:31Speaker 3: at a rally. Now, President Trump going to North Carolina today.
- 17:34Speaker 3: Vice President Vance speaking there yesterday. So they think North
- 17:38Speaker 3: Carolina is still in play. They think they got a
- 17:41Speaker 3: chance there. But the protesters started yelling. What was he protesting? Ukraine? Israel? No,
- 17:48Speaker 3: he was yelling about the Epstein files. Yelling and screaming
- 17:52Speaker 3: about Jeffrey Epstein. What the hell does J.D. Vance have
- 17:58Speaker 3: to do with Jeffrey Epstein had never met the guy.
- 18:02Speaker 3: It is a, no, the guy he's not even in the,
- 18:03Speaker 3: he's the only person in the world, not in these
- 18:05Speaker 3: Epstein files. Um, so what did, uh, what did, uh,
- 18:10Speaker 3: Vance say? He said, ladies and gentlemen, I'm going to
- 18:13Speaker 3: have to amend something I said earlier. I said that
- 18:16Speaker 3: we have zero illegal border crossings in the United States,
- 18:20Speaker 3: but clearly we got one, one isn't bad. So I,
- 18:23Speaker 3: it got a big laugh on it. Yeah. You have
- 18:25Speaker 3: to be in North Carolina to get that. I don't
- 18:26Speaker 3: know what the joke was, but, um, the audience did
- 18:30Speaker 3: burst into laughter and cheers. This Epstein file stuff is
- 18:35Speaker 3: a sad situation for Democrats. It's very sad. They really
- 18:39Speaker 3: built that up that once they get these Epstein files,
- 18:42Speaker 3: they're going to see how many pedophiles, all the pedophiles
- 18:45Speaker 3: are going to, they, well, you get these Epstein files.
- 18:49Speaker 3: They didn't get them. They sort of got them. They
- 18:51Speaker 3: got a couple of pages. They went nuts. They finally
- 18:53Speaker 3: released 20 million pages of the Epstein files. And, uh
- 18:58Speaker 3: many of us read the whole thing and there's one
- 19:00Speaker 3: thing pretty obvious in the epstein files the only pedophile
- 19:05Speaker 3: was epstein and maybe uh prince andrew he looks a
- 19:09Speaker 3: little guilty in that but outside of that uh 90
- 19:13Speaker 3: of the people dealing with epstein had nothing to do
- 19:15Speaker 3: with any women and the ones that did that were
- 19:18Speaker 3: looking for women all the time the bill gates that
- 19:20Speaker 3: sort of stuff the bill clinton's it wasn't a pedophile
- 19:24Speaker 3: they were looking for 30 40 50 year old women
- 19:27Speaker 3: And that's what Epstein delivered. Now, President Trump, the only
- 19:32Speaker 3: thing you learn from the Epstein files is that Epstein
- 19:34Speaker 3: hated Trump. They were bitter enemies. In fact, all through
- 19:38Speaker 3: the files, you see Epstein plotting on how to bring
- 19:40Speaker 3: down Trump, how to destroy him. And a lot of
- 19:44Speaker 3: celebrities look pretty bad in those files. They weren't doing
- 19:47Speaker 3: anything with women, but the Woody Allen types, Woody Allen
- 19:51Speaker 3: desperately needed money to finance his films. So Epstein was
- 19:56Speaker 3: giving him tons of money for his films, getting them
- 19:58Speaker 3: donors for the films. So Woody Allen was at Epstein's
- 20:01Speaker 3: house day and night. Anytime there was an Epstein luncheon,
- 20:04Speaker 3: a dinner party, Woody Allen would come and impress and
- 20:08Speaker 3: entertain the crowd. There were a few others in there too,
- 20:12Speaker 3: a lot of notables in there. And then it was
- 20:14Speaker 3: every college president, presidents of prestigious colleges that were all
- 20:19Speaker 3: over Epstein because he was making massive donations. But there
- 20:22Speaker 3: was no J.D. Vance in there. The only mention of
- 20:25Speaker 3: Trump was how much Epstein and Trump hated each other
- 20:27Speaker 3: and had nothing to do with each other. So it's
- 20:31Speaker 3: a funny thing to watch. Democrats create a narrative that
- 20:35Speaker 3: and they just drill it into their heads. And then
- 20:37Speaker 3: when the files come out and you can see the
- 20:39Speaker 3: narrative was totally false and wrong, it doesn't matter. They
- 20:43Speaker 3: keep going. You keep, there's like this guy here that
- 20:45Speaker 3: just keep yelling about the Epstein files. So, and obviously
- 20:50Speaker 3: they never read the Epstein files, but hey, Vance was also,
- 20:54Speaker 3: he did this town hall CBS news with the CBS
- 20:58Speaker 3: news anchor. Okay. How many people right now can tell
- 21:02Speaker 3: me who the anchor is of the CBS evening news?
- 21:07Speaker 3: Let me see. Looks like nobody. Nobody. Now, for years,
- 21:13Speaker 3: everybody in America knew who the anchor of the CBS
- 21:16Speaker 3: Evening News was. It was Walter Cronkite, of course. And
- 21:20Speaker 3: then after that, it was Dan Rather. And then after that,
- 21:24Speaker 3: it was Bob Schieffer. And then everybody knew that. And remember,
- 21:27Speaker 3: it was Katie Couric for two minutes. And then it was,
- 21:35Speaker 3: guy wasn't bad, but nobody remembers who the guy was.
- 21:38Speaker 3: He was kind of bland. And then it was Norah
- 21:40Speaker 3: O'Donnell who put everybody to sleep. And then it was
- 21:43Speaker 3: a guy you never heard of. And now it's this
- 21:45Speaker 3: guy who looks pretty good doing it, but his name
- 21:49Speaker 3: is Tony DeCouple, whatever his name is. So they did
- 21:54Speaker 3: a town hall. He was the one running the town hall.
- 21:57Speaker 3: He hit Vance with the toughest questions. He battered him
- 22:00Speaker 3: with the toughest questions. Everything from gas prices to Iran
- 22:04Speaker 3: to immigration to corruption. And the White House, boy, did
- 22:07Speaker 3: he hit him hard. Really hard. Which is fine. But
- 22:12Speaker 3: then they get a Democrat on CBS News. They ask
- 22:16Speaker 3: him the most gentle softball questions. There's never a follow-up.
- 22:20Speaker 3: It's just Jekyll and Hyde with this anchor. And all
- 22:23Speaker 3: these news. You watch Meet the Press, same thing. Republican
- 22:27Speaker 3: is on. They're badgering. They're banging away at him with
- 22:29Speaker 3: the toughest questions like a pit bull chewing him up.
- 22:32Speaker 3: Come back from the commercial with the Democrat. They're like
- 22:35Speaker 3: a little poodle cuddling with him. It's like Jekyll and Hyde.
- 22:37Speaker 3: It's unbelievable to watch. President Trump yesterday called for New
- 22:42Speaker 3: Mexico to change its name to New America. All right.
- 22:48Speaker 3: You just have to accept this. He does this sometimes.
- 22:51Speaker 3: I don't know what the hell it means. What's he thinking?
- 22:53Speaker 3: It's stupid. He does this sometimes. It was a bizarre
- 22:57Speaker 3: social media post. He said, New Mexico should change its
- 23:01Speaker 3: name to New America. The name would add great value
- 23:03Speaker 3: and prestige to the state. Home values and incomes would rise.
- 23:08Speaker 3: You would be even prouder while saluting our beautiful American flag. Now,
- 23:12Speaker 3: you've got to remember, the guy is a lot of things.
- 23:15Speaker 3: He's a combination of things. He's an unbelievable business guy
- 23:18Speaker 3: who built a multinational global empire worth billions. This guy
- 23:24Speaker 3: built 100-story skyscrapers in his sleep. That's one side of him.
- 23:28Speaker 3: The other side is the Howard Stern side. He'll just
- 23:31Speaker 3: say crazy things. He'll say outrageous things. Why? Just to,
- 23:36Speaker 3: you know, it's like a kid at the zoo who's
- 23:39Speaker 3: just got to rattle the cage just to get the
- 23:41Speaker 3: animal jumping and screaming. He does that to you. He's
- 23:44Speaker 3: going to do that all the time. He's 80 years old.
- 23:47Speaker 3: He's not going to change. He's always done this. He's
- 23:48Speaker 3: always going to do this. The other thing is he
- 23:50Speaker 3: likes to see his name in every, when he picks
- 23:53Speaker 3: up a paper, you know, most big stars, when they
- 23:55Speaker 3: get the newspaper, they pray they're not in it, you know,
- 23:58Speaker 3: especially if there's a scandal or anything. In fact, there
- 24:01Speaker 3: are some celebrities who actually have an assistant. In the
- 24:05Speaker 3: old days of the printed newspaper, go through the paper
- 24:08Speaker 3: and remove any articles, bad articles about them. And I
- 24:12Speaker 3: remember one of them told me once in the worst scandals,
- 24:15Speaker 3: he picked up the paper and it was like Swiss cheese.
- 24:17Speaker 3: It was all holes. But Trump's the opposite. Good articles,
- 24:21Speaker 3: bad articles, attack. He couldn't care less. He just wants
- 24:23Speaker 3: to see his name on every page of every publication
- 24:25Speaker 3: every day. It's A little crazy, but you're not going
- 24:29Speaker 3: to change it. That's the way he is. Hey, we've
- 24:31Speaker 3: got a lot more to get to. We'll take some
- 24:33Speaker 3: calls coming up. Mark Simone here. Three hours every day,
- 24:36Speaker 3: nine to noon every day on 710WOR. Mark Simone, Mr.
- 24:42Speaker 3: New York.
- 24:43Speaker 1: Now three hours every weekday from nine till noon on 710WOR.
- 24:51Speaker 3: Hey, we'll take some calls coming up. 800-321-0710 is the number.
- 24:54Speaker 6: 800-321-0710.
- 25:00Speaker 3: The price of oil is spiking like crazy. It was
- 25:04Speaker 3: in the 90s, just the beginning of the week. All
- 25:07Speaker 3: of a sudden, it has shot up to $ 105. It
- 25:11Speaker 3: was $ 106 a barrel a minute ago. $ 105 right now.
- 25:14Speaker 3: That's a huge spike in oil. Now, by the time
- 25:19Speaker 3: that gets to the pumps, it'll probably be after the
- 25:21Speaker 3: midterm elections. But why the spike? Well, because of the
- 25:27Speaker 3: Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia. The Houthis have been hitting
- 25:31Speaker 3: Saudi Arabia left and right. And then over the weekend,
- 25:34Speaker 3: some big attacks, missile attacks, drone attacks, whatever they could
- 25:38Speaker 3: hit in Saudi Arabia. They hit the airport earlier this month,
- 25:43Speaker 3: killed 13 people, wounded 300. They hit more over the weekend. Now,
- 25:49Speaker 3: The big problem for Saudi Arabia, every year they have
- 25:51Speaker 3: this big investor summit. It's a big international investment conference.
- 25:57Speaker 3: And it's not just to have a conference. The Saudis
- 25:59Speaker 3: make a lot of money. This is where they wheel
- 26:01Speaker 3: and deal and get future investments. It's actually called the
- 26:05Speaker 3: Future Investment Initiative. And it was supposed to be next
- 26:10Speaker 3: week in Riyadh. And it's a big important thing for
- 26:14Speaker 3: Saudi Arabia because they make a fortune off this. This
- 26:18Speaker 3: is where all the big investors from all over the
- 26:19Speaker 3: world come in. The crown prince, Mohammed bin Salan, this
- 26:23Speaker 3: is important for him. This is where all the money
- 26:26Speaker 3: comes pouring into Saudi Arabia. They can raise sometimes $ 40
- 26:30Speaker 3: billion just on this conference coming into Saudi Arabia. Organizers
- 26:35Speaker 3: said last year's gathering had 9,000 people from around the world.
- 26:40Speaker 3: And actually last year they brought in $ 50 billion in agreements.
- 26:44Speaker 3: So maybe this year they go for $ 60 billion. Well,
- 26:47Speaker 3: They've had to postpone the conference until next year because
- 26:50Speaker 3: of these Houthi attacks. They're afraid to do it. Too
- 26:55Speaker 3: dangerous right now. Conditions are too dangerous. They want these
- 26:59Speaker 3: investors coming, so they'll invest, not get killed, and there's
- 27:01Speaker 3: no investment. So obviously the conference would be a target.
- 27:04Speaker 3: So they've put it off until 2027. That's going to
- 27:08Speaker 3: cost them at least $ 50 billion. It's going to affect
- 27:11Speaker 3: Saudi Arabia. It's going to affect the whole Mideast. That's
- 27:14Speaker 3: why the price of oil, been spiking all day. Here
- 27:17Speaker 3: it is again. $ 106 a barrel. That's very, very, very high.
- 27:22Speaker 3: That's like Joe Biden kind of prices. Anyway, let's take
- 27:26Speaker 3: some calls. 800-321-0710 is the number. Let's go to Rob
- 27:32Speaker 3: in Franklin Square. Rob, how are you doing?
- 27:35Speaker 7: Hi, good morning.
- 27:35Speaker 6: You too, Mark. Great show again.
- 27:38Speaker 7: Listen, I 100% agree with what Vincent said yesterday, lambasting Putin.
- 27:43Speaker 7: The guys who KGB... Now, let me.
- 27:46Speaker 3: Get this straight. You're anti-Putin. Wow, what a brave stance
- 27:49Speaker 3: you're taking.
- 27:50Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 27:51Speaker 7: Okay, but, you know, let's face it.
- 27:53Speaker 3: We're all anti-Putin. Everybody's anti-Putin.
- 27:56Speaker 7: The tariffs can be good for every other country except
- 27:59Speaker 7: for Russia.
- 27:59Speaker 3: Let me ask you a question. Everybody hates Putin. We
- 28:02Speaker 3: all hate Putin. Everybody listening hates Putin. We all hate Putin.
- 28:05Speaker 3: So why do you have to call us to tell
- 28:06Speaker 3: us you hate Putin?
- 28:08Speaker 7: Well, I agree with what Vincent said.
- 28:11Speaker 3: Everybody already hates him. You're preaching to the choir.
- 28:14Speaker 7: And the triumvirate, the meeting with Xi and Putin, Zelensky
- 28:18Speaker 7: hasn't been invited for that.
- 28:20Speaker 3: Yes, he has. Yes, he has. Yes, he has.
- 28:22Speaker 7: No, he hasn't. It was on America's Newsroom.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Just three minutes ago. Oh, my God.
- 28:25Speaker 3: Then it must be true. No, he has been invited.
- 28:27Speaker 3: He has been invited.
- 28:28Speaker 6: Well, all right. Have a good day, Mark.
- 28:29Speaker 7: But you know what?
- 28:32Speaker 3: I guess all of this is because Trump said something
- 28:35Speaker 3: nice about Putin. I think that's what Vincent was saying.
- 28:38Speaker 3: Why does he have to be nice to Putin? Well,
- 28:40Speaker 3: it's the way Trump works. He's a master negotiator. He's
- 28:43Speaker 3: proven it in the last 40 years. He's been incredible
- 28:46Speaker 3: in negotiations. That's the technique. You start with the carrot first,
- 28:50Speaker 3: then the stick. He always does that with everybody. He
- 28:52Speaker 3: did that with Iran. First the carrot, then the stick.
- 28:57Speaker 3: He always tries the nice way first, then he gets
- 29:00Speaker 3: rough with them. Let's go to Craig in Columbia. Craig,
- 29:04Speaker 3: how are you doing? Hey, how are you doing?
- 29:06Speaker 2: I'm doing very well, Mark. Thank you for taking my call.
- 29:10Speaker 3: What Columbia are you? Are you Columbia, South Carolina?
- 29:14Speaker 2: Yes. Yes, sir.
- 29:15Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 29:16Speaker 2: All right.
- 29:17Speaker 3: We just want to make sure it's not Columbia University.
- 29:19Speaker 3: All right. Go ahead.
- 29:21Speaker 2: No, it's not.
- 29:23Speaker 8: I'm in Columbia and I'm painting Convertible Beach right now.
- 29:25Speaker 8: But anyway, you had mentioned a couple of things.
- 29:31Speaker 2: I've got two.
- 29:32Speaker 8: I got a letter from President Trump yesterday telling me
- 29:35Speaker 8: my October Medicare payment will be, I'll get a $ 90
- 29:42Speaker 8: credit on my October. Now you think about that towards
- 29:46Speaker 8: the number of, I'm 78 years old. The number of
- 29:49Speaker 8: people on Medicare get a.
- 29:51Speaker 6: $ 90 credit.
- 29:52Speaker 2: That's a lot of money. Number one.
- 29:54Speaker 8: Number two, About a week ago, I got a letter
- 29:58Speaker 8: from the Internal Revenue Service.
- 30:01Speaker 2: And they said that if I put $ 1, 000 into a 401k,
- 30:03Speaker 2: and I just created a 401k with the company I
- 30:05Speaker 2: work for, and put $ 1, 000.
- 30:07Speaker 8: In a 401k in 2027... the government will.
- 30:19Speaker 3: Match $ 5, 000.
- 30:20Speaker 2: That's pretty good.
- 30:22Speaker 8: There's almost $ 1, 100 of your $ 5, 000 credit. I've never heard
- 30:27Speaker 8: you talk about that.
- 30:28Speaker 3: Well, one reason is not the most fascinating subject. It's
- 30:32Speaker 3: not the most riveting conversation, but it's good to know.
- 30:35Speaker 3: It's good to know. Thanks for calling, Craig. Yeah, you're
- 30:38Speaker 3: getting all kinds of credits from the president. Also, Elon
- 30:40Speaker 3: Musk is going to give every child a special gift.
- 30:45Speaker 3: We'll get to that in the next hour. We'll get
- 30:46Speaker 3: to that in the next hour. For equal time, let's
- 30:49Speaker 3: go to Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent, you've never called in
- 30:52Speaker 3: the first hour before.
- 30:54Speaker 6: No, no, I never called.
- 30:55Speaker 3: Never heard of you being up this early.
- 30:59Speaker 6: No, I have to take care of some business today,
- 31:01Speaker 6: so I had to get up.
- 31:02Speaker 3: I won't ask who, but okay.
- 31:04Speaker 6: Okay. Mark, you see, I know Trump's not going to change, but...
- 31:09Speaker 6: The optics of it is terrible, as the caller just said,
- 31:15Speaker 6: and a lot of people who are not calling up
- 31:18Speaker 6: the show are thinking. It's doing business in a wood-paddled
- 31:26Speaker 6: office on Fifth Avenue, I believe, and obviously other people believe.
- 31:32Speaker 6: is different than the way you do business.
- 31:35Speaker 2: All right.
- 31:35Speaker 3: Now, first of all, Trump in his life would never
- 31:37Speaker 3: have a wood-paneled office. The office would be gold on
- 31:40Speaker 3: top of gold with more gold.
- 31:42Speaker 6: It would probably be all gilded gold and marble.
- 31:45Speaker 3: It would be gold and mirrors. Can you imagine having
- 31:47Speaker 3: a wood-paneled office?
- 31:49Speaker 6: Exactly. And on the entrance to the room, he would
- 31:53Speaker 6: probably have his name over the doorway also in gold. Mark,
- 31:59Speaker 6: the optics of it aren't good at all, and you
- 32:04Speaker 6: know better than anybody else.
- 32:07Speaker 3: I know, but Vincent, he's been doing business this way
- 32:09Speaker 3: for 40, actually 50 years. I know, but it doesn't matter.
- 32:15Speaker 3: Nobody in the world has ever been more successful than
- 32:17Speaker 3: this guy.
- 32:18Speaker 6: I agree.
- 32:19Speaker 3: So I don't think he needs our advice. He doesn't
- 32:22Speaker 3: need our advice. Let him do whatever he does.
- 32:24Speaker 6: Well, all right. You know what? It's going to be
- 32:27Speaker 6: the acid test, Mark. Let's see how the midterms wash out. Yeah.
- 32:32Speaker 3: Well, normally, in every case of every president, every.
- 32:35Speaker 6: Time, they lose the House.
- 32:37Speaker 3: He may be the first guy. No, they usually lose
- 32:39Speaker 3: the whole thing, but he may be the first to
- 32:41Speaker 3: buck that trend. But, again, you know, I remember Howard Stern,
- 32:45Speaker 3: like the first 20 years on the radio, everybody would
- 32:47Speaker 3: say to him, you know, you don't have to say these.
- 32:49Speaker 3: Why do you have to say these kind of things?
- 32:50Speaker 3: Don't say these kind of things. Don't do this. Don't
- 32:52Speaker 3: do that. You're not going to change him. You're not
- 32:54Speaker 3: going to change him. Mark, I said I'm not. I don't,
- 32:59Speaker 3: you know, the guy obviously not going to change. It's
- 33:03Speaker 3: like saying to Don Rickles, why do you have to
- 33:05Speaker 3: insult everybody? Don't insult everybody. That's what he does.
- 33:10Speaker 6: Mark with Trump, you're right. It's in the mix. It's
- 33:13Speaker 6: dyed in the wool.
- 33:17Speaker 3: Let's put it in terms. Maybe you'll relate to this.
- 33:20Speaker 3: Godfather 3, Andy Garcia is always beating up everybody. Michael
- 33:24Speaker 3: keeps telling him, you can't do that anymore. It's a
- 33:26Speaker 3: different world. No more violence. And then one time he
- 33:29Speaker 3: does it and Don throws up his arms. He goes,
- 33:32Speaker 3: what am I going to do? You are what you are.
- 33:34Speaker 6: Well, you are what you are.
- 33:35Speaker 3: That's what Trump is.
- 33:37Speaker 6: Well, Mark, great speaking to you at this early hour
- 33:41Speaker 6: for me. And great show as always. I'm looking forward
- 33:46Speaker 6: to the other two hours that are about to come up.
- 33:49Speaker 6: You have a great day.
- 33:50Speaker 3: Vincent, everybody's favorite caller. Thanks for calling. Take care.
- 33:53Speaker 4: One more.
- 33:54Speaker 3: Let's go to Paul in the Bronx. Paul, we only
- 33:56Speaker 3: got a few seconds. What do you want to say?
- 33:59Speaker 2: I'd like to bring attention.
- 34:00Speaker 5: To a New York City cop that's sitting on Rikers Island,
- 34:03Speaker 5: 19-year veteran Omar Habib.
- 34:05Speaker 2: Go to freeomar.com, freeomar.com.
- 34:08Speaker 3: That's the cop in the Bronx that was, that's the
- 34:12Speaker 3: guy that threw the water cooler?
- 34:15Speaker 2: No, it's another one.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Oh.
- 34:17Speaker 2: Not getting a lot of attention. omar habib free omar
- 34:19Speaker 2: uh dot.
- 34:20Speaker 3: Com all right thanks for calling hey uh we got
