  Speaker 2: in Idris. Now at this point, her mother has been

  Speaker 2: in a magically induced coma since book one. Her mother

  Speaker 2: had taken some sort of potion that put her into
• 18:21
  Speaker 2: some form of suspended animation, like total like sleeping beauty style,

  Speaker 2: but True Love Skiss won't wake her up, and now
• 18:30
  Speaker 2: she needs to look for a special book. I believe
• 18:34
  Speaker 2: it was called the Book of the White. It's a
• 18:37
  Speaker 2: spell book containing some of the most powerful white spells,
• 18:41
  Speaker 2: and Magnus Chase believes that it is in the hands
• 18:45
  Speaker 2: of a certain warlock that lives somewhere in Idris, in
• 18:48
  Speaker 2: the countryside of Idris. So that's one of her that's
• 18:51
  Speaker 2: her main that's her main motivation for going to Idris.

  Speaker 2: But Jace has been trying to keep her from going
• 19:00
  Speaker 2: so much the point that he actually tells her he

  Speaker 2: actually lies to her about the timeframe of when they're

  Speaker 2: going to be leaving because the Institute hired Magnus Chase

  Speaker 2: to open a portal to take him directly to Idris,

  Speaker 2: portal was going to be open, and Jace tells her, Okay, yeah,

  Speaker 2: so be here by this time. But in reality they

  Speaker 2: were leaving earlier in the day, and Simon ends up

  Speaker 2: showing up on time without Clary, and he gets He's

  Speaker 2: understandably upset that Jase would lie to her, but Jace

  Speaker 2: you've turned these normal humans into these mad, zombie like creatures.

  Speaker 2: All right, they'll they're vicious, they'll attack anything. Well, Valentine

  Speaker 2: sends a bunch of the Forsaken to attack being Institute,

  Speaker 2: forcing the shadow Hunters to fight back, but because of

  Speaker 2: the sheer number of them, they're forced to run through
• 21:07
  Speaker 2: the portal Magnus open and escape. During the fight, Simon

  Speaker 2: is injured and Louse's consciousness and Jace is forced to
• 21:20
  Speaker 2: grab him and pull him through the portal, which wasn't
• 21:23
  Speaker 2: supposed to happen because thinking about Downwolders is that they're
• 21:27
  Speaker 2: not allowed to enter the capital city of Alacante, and
• 21:33
  Speaker 2: unfortunately the portal goes directly to Alacante, so he's taken there.

  Speaker 2: Not long after that, Clary shows up. She had figured

  Speaker 2: out that they were leaving, that they were leaving early,

  Speaker 2: but she did not arrive in time. She sees the
