- 0:00Dayna Roselli: It's episode 269 of Vegas Revealed.
- 0:03Dayna Roselli: Is Vegas busy or not?
- 0:04Dayna Roselli: New numbers say visitation is down, but visually on certain occasions, the strip seems packed.
- 0:10Dayna Roselli: We discussed.
- 0:11Sean McAllister: Plus, an off-strip casino that's bringing in the locals and already expanding.
- 0:16Sean McAllister: We have details about some new additions to the summer lineup at Durango.
- 0:21Dayna Roselli: The sphere has a deal for Las Vegas area residents, and a new rooftop bar, restaurant, and nightlife spot is opening this summer on the strip.
- 0:29Sean McAllister: All this and more are coming up right now on Vegas Revealed.
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: Vegas Revealed, presented by Galindo Law, starts now.
- 0:38Dayna Roselli: Welcome to Vegas Revealed, episode 269.
- 0:41Dayna Roselli: I'm Dana Roselli along with Sean McAllister.
- 0:44Dayna Roselli: Both of us just back from a little time off, nothing too crazy, but I was in upstate New York.
- 0:49Dayna Roselli: Sean was cruising, and we want to talk about your cruise at some point, maybe next week.
- 0:54Sean McAllister: Yeah, let's do next week.
- 0:55Dayna Roselli: Because I think it's a great trip for people who live in the Las Vegas area or really on the West Coast.
- 1:01Dayna Roselli: You had some good tips.
- 1:02Dayna Roselli: You ran into some Golden Knights fans.
- 1:04Sean McAllister: Ran into Golden Knights fans, watch some playoff hockey out on the high seas.
- 1:10Dayna Roselli: I love that.
- 1:11Dayna Roselli: Yeah, our golden nights are in the playoffs right now.
- 1:13Dayna Roselli: We're heading into round two.
- 1:14Dayna Roselli: So um we're recording this on a Tuesday and there's a big game tonight.
- 1:18Sean McAllister: Yes, so we're excited.
- 1:19Sean McAllister: Go nights go.
- 1:21Sean McAllister: We need to just go all the way because listen, once you get into playoff hockey, uh, it's like it can stretch into what, like June?
- 1:29Sean McAllister: Oh, a long time.
- 1:30Sean McAllister: Like it goes a long time.
- 1:32Sean McAllister: And especially here in Las Vegas, like it can be a hundred degrees outside, and then you go into like the 50-degree arena to watch the game.
- 1:42Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 1:42Sean McAllister: So you need to like wear one set of clothes in and bring things to layer on top as the day goes on, as the game goes on.
- 1:50Dayna Roselli: It's true, and it gets more competitive and competitive to get tickets, right?
- 1:54Sean McAllister: It does.
- 1:54Dayna Roselli: As like, you know, the games go on, like you said.
- 1:56Dayna Roselli: But yeah, but it's great for the economy, right?
- 1:58Dayna Roselli: Home games that let it ride because everyone comes down to the strip, they're buying food, they're buying drinks, they're buying merch.
- 2:07Dayna Roselli: So we like that, and we need it according to a lot of numbers that have been tossed around lately saying that visitation in Las Vegas is down.
- 2:16Dayna Roselli: We want to discuss this because it's all the hot topic on social media.
- 2:20Sean McAllister: It is.
- 2:20Sean McAllister: And if you read like newspaper articles and sources that have actual data, um you'll get the uh you'll get the actual picture.
- 2:31Sean McAllister: If you're looking online, there's a lot of things that say, oh my gosh, Vegas is dead.
- 2:36Sean McAllister: What's happening?
- 2:37Sean McAllister: This is a dying city, whatever.
- 2:40Sean McAllister: Well, first of all, no, it's not.
- 2:42Sean McAllister: Um is there a a dip in visitation compared to this time last year?
- 2:48Sean McAllister: There is.
- 2:50Sean McAllister: However, you have to remember we had stuck a big thing going on last year.
- 2:54Dayna Roselli: Called the Super Bowl, right?
- 2:55Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 2:56Dayna Roselli: Biggest event basically in the country.
- 2:58Dayna Roselli: Um you know, every single year.
- 3:00Dayna Roselli: So yeah, I mean, you know, if you look at the first three months of 2025, Las Vegas visitation down almost seven percent compared to 2024.
- 3:09Dayna Roselli: Uh but um and there were declines in all three months, so keep that in mind.
- 3:14Dayna Roselli: But, you know, Super Bowl, we did have, you know, high numbers of lots of people in town and not only people attending the Super Bowl for fun, but people coming in just for the events.
- 3:26Dayna Roselli: I mean, even all the journalists in town are from across the world, you know.
- 3:30Dayna Roselli: So it does make a big difference.
- 3:31Dayna Roselli: However, you know, there are things that are uncertain right now, and people might be keeping their money a little tighter to their, you know, pocket and that kind of thing.
- 3:41Dayna Roselli: And, you know, we are seeing some dips, which is which is normal.
- 3:45Dayna Roselli: But then it gets confusing because I go to visit my friend at the Fountain Blue last Friday.
- 3:51Dayna Roselli: She was in town for the show at the sphere.
- 3:53Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 3:54Dayna Roselli: She was in from New York City and a bunch of friends.
- 3:56Dayna Roselli: They had a vowel renewal thing for some friends, and then they were going to see Dead and Company.
- 4:00Dayna Roselli: Went to Fountain Blue.
- 4:02Dayna Roselli: We had lunch at La Cote by the pool.
- 4:04Dayna Roselli: It was full at brunch lunchtime.
- 4:07Dayna Roselli: Um, we went out to get a seat at the pool.
- 4:10Dayna Roselli: We could not find one.
- 4:11Dayna Roselli: Asked the pool guy for the towels, and I'm like, man, how do we get a seat?
- 4:14Dayna Roselli: He's like, I don't know.
- 4:15Dayna Roselli: He's like, I haven't seen it like this.
- 4:16Dayna Roselli: It's crazy, like it's packed.
- 4:18Dayna Roselli: So we finally did find one.
- 4:20Dayna Roselli: Um, you just had to go a little further and around the corner, but it was hard to find one.
- 4:23Dayna Roselli: Um, and then she wanted to extend her stay at Fountain Blue and stay another night, and they said, sorry, we're booked.
- 4:31Sean McAllister: So there are people here.
- 4:33Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 4:34Dayna Roselli: So she had to go over to Park MGM.
- 4:36Dayna Roselli: So I'm confused because I'm like, wait a minute, I thought Vegas was dead.
- 4:40Sean McAllister: Yeah, Vegas is not dead.
- 4:42Sean McAllister: You walk the strip and you can clearly see that it is not dead.
- 4:46Sean McAllister: People are still coming here.
- 4:48Sean McAllister: Have numbers dipped a little bit.
- 4:50Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 4:51Sean McAllister: However, the numbers that we uh have right now are only for the first three months January, February, March.
- 4:59Sean McAllister: It doesn't take April into account.
- 5:01Sean McAllister: And we just had a huge WrestleMania week, essentially.
- 5:04Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 5:05Sean McAllister: Which brought in tons of people over Easter weekend, which is usually uh one of the slowest weekends of the year.
- 5:14Sean McAllister: So we know we're gonna see a spike uh in April, regardless.
- 5:18Sean McAllister: Right.
- 5:19Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean, yeah, exactly.
- 5:21Dayna Roselli: And I think like, you know, we have a lot of things going on with like international travel.
- 5:25Dayna Roselli: We've talked about that before, you know, maybe less less people coming in from Canada to visit us.
- 5:30Dayna Roselli: But remember you said you ran into someone from Canada who was like, we love Vegas, we wish we could live here.
- 5:35Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's it's all differing.
- 5:37Dayna Roselli: And and recently we actually sat down with financial analyst Steve Buden.
- 5:41Dayna Roselli: We love Steve, we trust him.
- 5:43Dayna Roselli: Both Sean and I have accounts with him through the years.
- 5:46Dayna Roselli: Um, but he's we actually met him through um, you know, uh coming in to the newsroom for segments.
- 5:53Dayna Roselli: He's done a lot of financial segments on the local TV and stuff like that.
- 5:56Dayna Roselli: But we wanted to get his perspective on, you know, what he thinks is going on in Las Vegas, if if it's really gonna hurt us.
- 6:06Dayna Roselli: And so we got his take.
- 6:07Dayna Roselli: It was interesting.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: Things are definitely uncertain right now.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: The tariff policy, the tax policy, people's job status, a lot of federal government workers are getting laid off.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: So having said all that, Vegas is still Vegas.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: You know, our marketing is second to none, the shows are second to none, the restaurants are second to none.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: So I'm I'm I'm confident that we'll be okay.
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: Now, on the margins, we might not be as okay as a year ago or two years ago, but I still think we'll we'll do all right.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: You might be angry in the short term, and you might tweet out in the moment that you're done with Vegas.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: But where else are you gonna go?
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: Where are you gonna get the world-class restaurants?
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: Where are you gonna get the world world-class shows?
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: Where are you gonna get the great airport that you can get in and out very quickly?
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: I challenge you to find another place that will give you that type of experience.
- 6:58Dayna Roselli: So he said Vegas is still Vegas, right?
- 7:00Dayna Roselli: And he's right.
- 7:01Sean McAllister: Vegas is still Vegas, and Steve keeps his eye on trends.
- 7:06Sean McAllister: He looks at future uh prices for hotel rooms, and if prices are high, that means that there's demand.
- 7:13Sean McAllister: If they're low, it means that demand is slipping a little bit.
- 7:17Sean McAllister: Um and he said from what he has seen so far that prices are generally pretty stable, which is a good sign.
- 7:26Sean McAllister: That means that there's a a good amount of demand still there in the market.
- 7:30Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 7:31Dayna Roselli: You know, and I think I had mentioned to you last Saturday, I went to an early dinner, 5 30, with some friends at Bar Bohem.
- 7:37Dayna Roselli: Right in downtown, James Tree's new restaurant.
- 7:40Dayna Roselli: We had talked about we went to a media preview, we wanted to try it on our own, and so I suggested this with some friends.
- 7:45Dayna Roselli: You know, and it's not a cheap restaurant, um, but the quality is amazing, and it's not over the top.
- 7:52Dayna Roselli: Packed.
- 7:53Dayna Roselli: Packed in downtown Las Vegas at 5 30.
- 7:56Dayna Roselli: Like it got busier, you know, towards six, six thirty.
- 7:59Dayna Roselli: So at 5 30, you know, it wasn't at but like literally within that half hour, all of a sudden I look back and the whole restaurant's full.
- 8:05Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 8:06Dayna Roselli: So it is interesting because it is pricey.
- 8:09Dayna Roselli: And listen, I'm I'm being careful with my money now because I'm you know, so I mean, people are being careful, but I feel like they're still taking that splurge.
- 8:17Sean McAllister: Well, uh, people are being careful, but I think people are also, especially coming out of COVID, it's like it made a lot of people realize why am I waiting to do something?
- 8:29Sean McAllister: Like you need to still bring joy into your life.
- 8:32Sean McAllister: You can't put your life on hold.
- 8:34Sean McAllister: You still need to go with the go and do things that make you happy.
- 8:38Sean McAllister: And for a lot of people, that means Las Vegas.
- 8:41Sean McAllister: Right.
- 8:41Sean McAllister: And like you mentioned just a minute ago, uh, you know, the international inbound uh uh travel, there have been articles about how that uh, you know, could be slipping and all that.
- 8:52Sean McAllister: Well I mean the same could be said for uh US travelers going to other countries.
- 9:00Sean McAllister: I mean, there could be people who are saying, you know what, I'm gonna hold off on my international trip right now just because of the state of uh the world.
- 9:09Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 9:09Sean McAllister: And and maybe do a a domestic vacation, maybe come to Las Vegas.
- 9:14Sean McAllister: Or if you don't want to fly, maybe you're driving in.
- 9:17Sean McAllister: If you live on anywhere on the west coast or in the southwest, Vegas is easy to get to.
- 9:23Dayna Roselli: No, I know.
- 9:24Dayna Roselli: I mean, I looked for some tickets.
- 9:25Dayna Roselli: My friend wanted me to visit London in July, and uh it was over well over 1,500.
- 9:31Dayna Roselli: It would have come out to well over 2,000.
- 9:33Dayna Roselli: And I thought, I don't know.
- 9:34Dayna Roselli: Just for the flight.
- 9:35Dayna Roselli: Just for the flight.
- 9:36Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I just thought, I don't know, you know, because then you kind of also want to fly comfortably these days.
- 9:42Dayna Roselli: And by comfortable, I mean I want to include picking my seat, I want to include a bag.
- 9:46Dayna Roselli: Well, especially in all these international flights, yeah.
- 9:49Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so I mean, you gotta add on all those things.
- 9:51Dayna Roselli: So I mean, it is a time where you go, well, you know, I could go on like like you did, like I go on a you know, four-day cruise four times for that.
- 10:00Sean McAllister: Exactly, exactly.
- 10:01Sean McAllister: I don't know if you would want to go four times in a row.
- 10:03Dayna Roselli: I just keep getting off, getting back on.
- 10:05Sean McAllister: There were actually people who so we did the we'll get in depth about it because I have tips about about this cruise too.
- 10:12Sean McAllister: But there were people um who stayed on because the the one that we did went to Catalina and Ensenada.
- 10:21Sean McAllister: Yeah, and the next cruise was going down to Cabo and maybe Port of Ayarda, but Cabo was definitely on the itinerary, and so people were staying on the boat to do that next cruise too.
- 10:35Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 10:35Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that makes sense.
- 10:36Dayna Roselli: I mean, cruises are affordable, and then also when you when you brought up the COVID time after that, we didn't know what the you know the future held for um cruises.
- 10:46Dayna Roselli: So remember there were some of those cruise ships that were docked and weren't letting people off, and people thought, oh my gosh, I'm never going on a cruise again.
- 10:51Dayna Roselli: And but ever the cruise industry seems to be just doing fine.
- 10:54Sean McAllister: It's bounced back well.
- 10:56Sean McAllister: Yeah, it did.
- 10:57Dayna Roselli: Um, something I wanted to say when you mentioned something about um visiting Las Vegas.
- 11:02Dayna Roselli: When I mentioned the Fountain Blue was busy, I do want to note because I had commented under a social media post and somebody said, Well, that's because the rich are still rich.
- 11:10Dayna Roselli: Fountain blue, you know, you know, Fountain Blue is a more luxurious hotel, and they make a point, you know, people who can afford the Fountain Blue, even though I actually think Fountain Blue has great room rates.
- 11:21Dayna Roselli: Um, but but I see what kind of point they're making.
- 11:24Dayna Roselli: And my point is that my friends that stayed there, they actually got a pretty good deal.
- 11:29Dayna Roselli: But, and they had done like they've been like gambling at Venetian and Fountain Blue, they went to the Sphere Show, they had spent a good amount of money.
- 11:36Dayna Roselli: And that day they were like, you know, what what could we do?
- 11:38Dayna Roselli: We just want to like go gamble, but like, and I was like, you know what?
- 11:42Dayna Roselli: Walk across the street and go to Circus Circus.
- 11:45Dayna Roselli: There's a building right in front of it that has coin slots, dollar beers, dollar hot dogs, and they were like, we're in like their their seats.
- 11:53Sean McAllister: Lots of fun.
- 11:54Dayna Roselli: Yes, lots of fun.
- 11:55Dayna Roselli: They pushed their seats out from the table and they're like, let's go.
- 11:58Dayna Roselli: I mean, they spent the whole day there.
- 11:59Sean McAllister: They're like hightailed it in the middle.
- 12:00Dayna Roselli: Well, they hightailed it right out of there because we were getting ready because me and my friend Mara were going to the pool and they wanted to all go do gambling.
- 12:06Dayna Roselli: But you know, I think they had spent a lot of money all night at the Venetian and stuff, and you know, didn't want the high limit tables and stuff.
- 12:12Dayna Roselli: So, I mean, big, big pro tip.
- 12:14Dayna Roselli: If you just want to have some fun, play some slots.
- 12:18Dayna Roselli: We haven't been over there in a year.
- 12:19Dayna Roselli: I'm assuming it's still dollar beers or five dollar hot dogs or one dollar hot dogs or whatever they have going over there.
- 12:25Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's a great spot.
- 12:26Dayna Roselli: They had a blast.
- 12:27Sean McAllister: So and you get that taste of vintage Vegas, too.
- 12:31Sean McAllister: Yeah, hold those coins in your hand.
- 12:33Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 12:33Dayna Roselli: So see, everyone wants a deal.
- 12:35Sean McAllister: Everyone wants a deal.
- 12:36Dayna Roselli: And so, anyway, you can mix it up.
- 12:37Dayna Roselli: You can mix it up.
- 12:38Dayna Roselli: You gotta look around, you gotta listen to our podcast, and we'll keep you in the know.
- 12:44Sean McAllister: Absolutely.
- 12:45Sean McAllister: And hey, before we get on with uh everything else, we do want to give a shout out to our sponsor, Galindo Law.
- 12:53Sean McAllister: Uh, if you live down in Texas, maybe your home was damaged by hail or a hurricane.
- 12:58Sean McAllister: Even in the past two years, Galindo Law may be able to help you get you more insurance compensation, but you have to start by giving them a call.
- 13:07Sean McAllister: The number is 800-251-1533.

- 13:15Sean McAllister: Galindo Law will give you a free claim review to see if you may be owed more compensation.
- 13:22Sean McAllister: But again, you have to pick up the phone and make the first move.
- 13:25Sean McAllister: 800-251-1533 or go to Galindolaw.com.
- 13:32Sean McAllister: They also help with wildfire cases out in California.
- 13:37Sean McAllister: If same thing, maybe insurance didn't pay out as much as you were hoping or expecting.
- 13:43Sean McAllister: Galindo Law will do a free claim review for you there too.
- 13:47Sean McAllister: 800-251-1533.
- 13:50Sean McAllister: Call Galindo Law today.
- 13:53Dayna Roselli: All right, let's go back to the strip now.
- 13:55Dayna Roselli: Got a new venue opening there on the strip.
- 13:57Dayna Roselli: And this one's on the southeast corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo, so right across from the iconic Bellagio Fountains.
- 14:03Dayna Roselli: People always love a location there because the views are incredible.
- 14:08Dayna Roselli: Anyway, it's called Bottled Blonde Las Vegas.
- 14:10Dayna Roselli: It's opening this summer, but we don't have an exact date yet.
- 14:13Sean McAllister: Not yet, but we do know the if you live down in the Phoenix, Scottsdale area, you probably already know about Bottled Blonde because that's where the that's where it originated.
- 14:24Sean McAllister: And now we have a location coming here to the Las Vegas Strip, a massive uh three-story building, huge rooftop, and we already know from uh going up to the roof at all red that that location has incredible views north and south on the strip.
- 14:44Sean McAllister: So Bottle Blonde is gonna have amazing views too.
- 14:47Dayna Roselli: Yeah, we saw some renderings.
- 14:48Dayna Roselli: It looks cool, the the food looks good.
- 14:50Dayna Roselli: Um, reading from the exact press release, it says the$50 million standalone venue offers a high-energy blend of sports-driven excitement by day, complete with brunch, lunch, and happy hour offerings and nightlife vibes by night.
- 15:06Dayna Roselli: So they've got a lot going on, and I mean that place is gonna be packed probably there on the strip.
- 15:12Dayna Roselli: So we'll have to see.
- 15:13Dayna Roselli: Um, it opens again this summer.
- 15:15Dayna Roselli: We don't have an exact date, but it looks great and look forward to checking it out eventually.
- 15:19Sean McAllister: So that's a new venue that is opening on the Las Vegas Strip.
- 15:23Sean McAllister: Let's jump off the strip to the southwest part of the Las Vegas Valley, where Durango Casino has just been packing people in since it opened a year and a half ago.
- 15:36Dayna Roselli: I don't know, is it longer?
- 15:37Dayna Roselli: I you and I'm longer.
- 15:39Dayna Roselli: You and I are always shocked because we're like, we were literally just sitting here for the the announcement, laying out.
- 15:43Dayna Roselli: Groundbreaking like in the desert, you know, they had like furniture out there and stuff.
- 15:47Sean McAllister: It feels like uh the entire place went up in a year.
- 15:50Sean McAllister: I think and it's been open for a little bit now.
- 15:54Sean McAllister: Well, the demand is already so high that they're adding on to the casino.
- 16:00Dayna Roselli: It's crazy.
- 16:00Dayna Roselli: We went over there and to see the construction.
- 16:03Dayna Roselli: I mean, they're adding on like parking garages and all sorts of stuff, but I'm just like, how are they expanding already?
- 16:08Dayna Roselli: And we were talking to someone on property and they said this wasn't even planned.
- 16:11Dayna Roselli: Like we didn't know how it was gonna do.
- 16:12Dayna Roselli: We expected it to do well, but so it's so cool to see them adding on already.
- 16:17Dayna Roselli: Locals love Durango.
- 16:19Dayna Roselli: I have no doubt that people drive in from Southern California and go there too, and they get a great mix of, I mean, even celebrities, they have a lot of events there.
- 16:27Dayna Roselli: I know there are people, a lot of celebrities that live here in Las Vegas that frequent Durango.
- 16:33Dayna Roselli: So, anyway, we went over to find out what they got on tap for the summer.
- 16:36Sean McAllister: Yeah, and it's very if you haven't been over to Durango, it's very much like a Palm Springs deserty kind of upscale, elevated vibe.
- 16:45Sean McAllister: Um, uh Bel Air Lounge is just off of the lobby over there at Durango, and it has turned into the a hot spot for locals.
- 16:57Sean McAllister: And I'm not just talking about people who pop it.
- 17:00Sean McAllister: People go in dressed to the nines at Bel Air.
- 17:04Sean McAllister: It is like the place to be and be seen.
- 17:07Dayna Roselli: It is, and they have a popular ladies' night over there too.
- 17:10Dayna Roselli: But we went over and we're like, you know what, we gotta talk to someone about this.
- 17:13Dayna Roselli: They have so much stuff coming up uh for the summer over there at Bel Air Backyard.
- 17:18Dayna Roselli: It's gonna be a great summer at Durango.
- 17:20Dayna Roselli: So we went over and talked to Mustafa Abdi.
- 17:22Dayna Roselli: He works with Click Hospitality and got the lowdown.
- 17:25Dayna Roselli: I mean, this casino has just blown up over the last couple years.
- 17:28SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 17:29SPEAKER_01: You know, we're very excited for season two here at Bel Air Backyard.
- 17:32SPEAKER_01: Um, have some amazing things going on with some awesome partners.
- 17:35SPEAKER_01: Uh, we're actually teaming up with AG this summer, doing an amazing poolside uh concert series.
- 17:41SPEAKER_01: We have Thievery Corporation coming up, uh, Memorial Day Sunday.
- 17:44SPEAKER_01: We have Dashboard Confessional, uh, a lot of really exciting bands, uh, well-versed around, you know, indie rock to reggae to you know, you name it.
- 17:52SPEAKER_01: So it's gonna be very exciting summertime.
- 17:55Dayna Roselli: Tell us a little bit about the concert series.
- 17:56Dayna Roselli: So you what you folks will be able to what, hang on the lawn, sit in the pool?
- 18:00SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 18:00SPEAKER_01: You know, listen, it's it's an outdoor venue that's never been used for a concert before that happens to be a pool as well.
- 18:06SPEAKER_01: So, you know, people can enjoy the the concert and go out to our lawn and you know get a real concert style experience, but you can also be in the water and watch, you know, Michael Franti and Spearhead do their reggae set.
- 18:18SPEAKER_01: So it's it's very pool-friendly, pool side concert series.
- 18:22SPEAKER_01: That's what we're doing this summer.
- 18:23Dayna Roselli: Well, and that's the thing.
- 18:23Dayna Roselli: With a Vegas summer, you know, the pool is fine all night long, right?
- 18:27Dayna Roselli: And so we gotta take advantage.
- 18:28Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's warm.
- 18:29SPEAKER_01: It does get a little hot sometimes at night in the summertime, as we know, so you know, it's always nice to be able to take a dip and still enjoy the show.
- 18:36Dayna Roselli: What have you heard from uh people that live here?
- 18:37SPEAKER_01: I mean, obviously, I know people that come regularly, every single weekend, and I think the locals what they like about Belair Lounge, Bel Air Backyard, is it's a strip experience with some local love.
- 18:49SPEAKER_01: And you know, it's it's very approachable, it's friendly, we're not gonna hit you over the head.
- 18:53SPEAKER_01: You know, you feel like you get some value out of your money when you come and spend spend it here.
- 18:57SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 18:57SPEAKER_01: So uh it's an amazing, amazing high-level uh chic atmosphere that gives you great vibes, great music, and great service.
- 19:06Dayna Roselli: Uh talk about Bel Air Um the Lounge.
- 19:08Dayna Roselli: Is it open all day?
- 19:09Dayna Roselli: Give me the whole rundown.
- 19:10Dayna Roselli: Open all day, open all night.
- 19:12Dayna Roselli: What's the deal?
- 19:12SPEAKER_01: Well, Bel Air really has two identities, right?
- 19:14SPEAKER_01: I mean, if you're coming in here to check in, you can come in with your laptop, you know, get some work done, have some lunch, do you know, do a power meeting if you're you know a local that's down the street and you just want to get out of the office and meet with your peers or whatever.
- 19:27SPEAKER_01: But then at night we have another whole animal, and Bel Air at night really turns into a beast.
- 19:34SPEAKER_01: Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
- 19:35SPEAKER_01: On Thursdays we have Ladies' Night, starts at 8 o'clock.
- 19:38SPEAKER_01: Ladies are 50% off every single Thursday.
- 19:41SPEAKER_01: It's probably been our most successful night out of the week.
- 19:44SPEAKER_01: Fridays and Saturdays we're always programming DJs, having really good events, and uh it's just you get people from all around, or you know, young people, uh, people that are still looking to have a good time and are professionals, but you know, they don't want to go all the way out of this trip.
- 20:00SPEAKER_01: This is really close to their crib, so they're gonna come by and they know what to expect at Melee Lounge.
- 20:04Dayna Roselli: You guys stay busy.
- 20:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you know, and and we're grateful for it.
- 20:07SPEAKER_01: You know, like it speaks to the locals in the area that keep coming back because, again, they know they have a great time and it's an option that's not too far from their house.
- 20:16SPEAKER_01: You know, there's no parking fees, there's no traffic, you can get in and get out, and you can still have a great time.
- 20:22Dayna Roselli: And they're expanding.
- 20:23Dayna Roselli: You can hear it behind us.
- 20:24SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 20:24SPEAKER_01: Listen, like the this is phase two that's happening right now.
- 20:27SPEAKER_01: Phase three is coming down the line, but exciting, exciting stuff here at Durango.
- 20:32SPEAKER_01: Um, we're very excited to see where it goes and we'll go from there.
- 20:36Dayna Roselli: Uh tell me about the pool if locals do want to come to the pool.
- 20:38Dayna Roselli: I know there's a fee, um, but you can, and people just like to know they're able to come.
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: What's great about it, you know, we are the hotel pool, so if you're staying here and you have a room key, you can always come in, but that doesn't exclude locals from being able to come in and you know, whether it's paying our cover charge to get in during the week, it's like 30 bucks, 40 on the weekend.
- 20:55SPEAKER_01: Um, or you could just make a day bed reservation or a cabana reservation and come in and enjoy the facility as well.
- 21:02SPEAKER_01: So our busiest days are Saturdays and Sundays.
- 21:04SPEAKER_01: Usually those are the days that comanas book out the fastest, and day beds are very, very uh few and far between to get.
- 21:11SPEAKER_01: Um, but the good part about Sundays is we just launched our new Sunday Fun Day campaign.
- 21:15SPEAKER_01: It's the only day that you can come in at 10 a.m.
- 21:17SPEAKER_01: all the way through 10 p.m.
- 21:19SPEAKER_01: So it's a really good time.
- 21:20SPEAKER_01: Stretch it out for 12 hours.
- 21:22Dayna Roselli: What I was gonna say, I mean, I know you plan for it to be the best and to be busy, but I mean, did you ever expect it would be as popular as it is so quick?
- 21:30SPEAKER_01: Well, you know, it was a it was a perfect storm.
- 21:32SPEAKER_01: Uh we have some amazing people in this hotel that uh really know what they're doing.
- 21:37SPEAKER_01: You know, and when you have click hospitality involved in the mix, you know, we have a database and we have a proven track record of the amount of venues that we have done with our customer database and things like that.
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: So we're putting them all together.
- 21:48SPEAKER_01: Uh it was a perfect storm.
- 21:50SPEAKER_01: And you know, this place, I know that you know, they were sitting on this land for a long time, and this the Southwest really needed this, and we're grateful for it.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: And we love being here for the community.
- 22:02SPEAKER_01: The community loves us.
- 22:03SPEAKER_01: And it's a it's a match made in heaven right now, especially with uh Vegas being in this transition of all this sports and traffic and all this stuff right now.
- 22:12SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 22:13SPEAKER_01: So it's nice having that local option that a lot of people live in this area, love it, and they love not being able to go down to the strip, pay those parking prices, run into the traffic and things like that.
- 22:23Sean McAllister: So again, I think that poolside concert series is gonna be so great.
- 22:28Sean McAllister: People in the pool, people on day beds, people out on the event lawn.
- 22:33Sean McAllister: And the fray is coming.
- 22:34Sean McAllister: They have a concert coming up.
- 22:35Sean McAllister: And being the massive Gray's Anatomy fan that you are, this is like the soundtrack to your viewing.
- 22:42Dayna Roselli: Of my life.
- 22:43Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 22:44Dayna Roselli: No, I know.
- 22:44Dayna Roselli: The Frey, so many songs from Gray's Anatomy by the Frey.
- 22:48Dayna Roselli: So whenever I hear their music, I'm like, oh, I remember that episode.
- 22:53Sean McAllister: How to save a life.
- 22:55Dayna Roselli: Yes, and so many more, which you don't realize as you go on with the season, they they incorporate the fray in a lot of different that was the big one though at a time.
- 23:02Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 23:03Dayna Roselli: So that was crazy.
- 23:04Dayna Roselli: Anyway, I'm excited to see um them do just continue to do these concerts and do really well over there.
- 23:10Dayna Roselli: They continue to.
- 23:11Dayna Roselli: And who else is on that?
- 23:12Dayna Roselli: Because I know he mentioned a couple, but you had the list up.
- 23:14Sean McAllister: Yeah, we have the fray uh May 16th, uh, Thievery Corporation, May 25th.
- 23:20Sean McAllister: The Struts are coming in uh September 12th.
- 23:24Sean McAllister: Uh be sure to follow Durango uh resort on social media and they'll have all the updates immediately as artists are added to this summer back Bel Air Backyard Concert Series.
- 23:38Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 23:38Sean McAllister: Um that should be great.
- 23:39Dayna Roselli: We went over there um with our TV camera to do a piece.
- 23:43Dayna Roselli: So um eventually it'll be on our YouTube as well.
- 23:45Dayna Roselli: If you want to see what the Durango pool looks like, if you want to see what you know, Bel Air looks like lounge and all that.
- 23:52Sean McAllister: And by the way, the ticket prices for these shows are pretty darn good.
- 23:55Sean McAllister: Um, some of them start at 35 bucks.
- 23:58Dayna Roselli: Great.
- 23:59Sean McAllister: So it's a it's a great ticket deal.
- 24:02Sean McAllister: It's a great vibe over there, so you will not be disappointed.
- 24:06Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 24:06Dayna Roselli: Well, if that wasn't enough for tips, we've got more.
- 24:12Dayna Roselli: All right, Sean, this is for all our out-of-town conventiers.

- 28:35Dayna Roselli: He joked around like he didn't know the date yet when it was coming out.
- 28:38Dayna Roselli: But I thought this is awesome because I have been thinking lately with everything going on in my life, my dad passed away, and you know, just I've always cherished my mom, but cherishing her a little bit more now.
- 28:48Dayna Roselli: And I was thinking, like, sometimes when you drive and you listen to, you know, there's a lot of song about uh relationships, couples, you know, breakups, get back togethers.
- 28:58Dayna Roselli: Not a lot of songs about family.
- 29:01Sean McAllister: That is true.

- 29:12Dayna Roselli: So or or about mom.
- 29:14Dayna Roselli: So I I thought it was cool, and I love that he's dipping his toes into that.
- 29:17Dayna Roselli: So I wonder, I feel like that'll be a hit.
- 29:19Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it already sounds good.
- 29:21Sean McAllister: And he's like his music is just so good, and he is so talented.
- 29:26Sean McAllister: He is that voice, and then doing backflips and rocking the rocking the uh jumpsuits, the tight jumpsuits, they're very tight jumpsuits.
- 29:37Dayna Roselli: That's entertainment.
- 29:38Dayna Roselli: See, he belongs in Vegas.
- 29:40Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
