- 0:07[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville, Jack Wars fans, welcome into Duval, Daily Prisoner by Jin Jack.com.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan Oluer, thanks so much for being here.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: Tuesday, October, 14th, your Jacksonville, Jack Wars are in London.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_00]: Getting ready to take on the Rams and right now.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_00]: What we're getting ready to do is say, keep my name out your mouth episode three of the show.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_00]: Originally, was planted on probably doing it every week or so.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_00]: This is the third episode though in about a week.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_00]: So we're having fun here.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_00]: And this one actually isn't going out to any national media folks or local media or fans of other teams.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_00]: This is actually going out to some of the jacks fans.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the doom and gloomers, the people panicking, right?
- 1:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's what this show is about.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_00]: Appreciate you being here.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: You can also check out jingjag.com slash shop pickup.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_00]: Some new dooval gear like that.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_00]: I'm wearing right now.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_00]: So there are a lot of Jacksonville Jack Wars fans in my mentions, whether it be here, Twitter, et cetera.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_00]: Spreading mass, fear, and panic.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: After a stretch in which the Jacksonville jag wars, a, started the season four and two, b, went three and one on the road against the 49ers.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: San Francisco, against Houston Texans at home, they hadn't beaten them since 2017 in Jacksonville.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: Hadn't won on the West Coast and ages, hadn't beaten the 49ers and ages,
- 2:00[SPEAKER_00]: Take care of the Texans.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: First time since 2017 in Jacksonville, go get it done against the 49ers.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: Then on Monday night football, you show resiliency, you show fight, you show toughness, you beat the chiefs.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: Who, by the way, are the chiefs played a really good football game against the Jaguars.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_00]: They also had some help from the officials and the Jaguars still won that game.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: And then, you know,
- 2:30[SPEAKER_00]: You lose to the Seahawks.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_00]: In a one-score game, another really good, well-coached buttoned up talented football team, who just kind of took advantage of a weakness you had on the day, which the offensive line didn't come with the correct physical mindset.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: The Seahawks were not running like these crazy exotic stunts.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's things the Jaguars have seen before, but that defensive front was ready to be more physical than the Jaguars offensive line was on that day.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_00]: That was the only time the Jaguars offensive line has looked in any way unprepared for a game or not ready to handle the physicality of a game.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: They've been good all year.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_00]: They're running the ball as well as anyone in the league.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: You know, top five, and then they're also doing a good job in past protection overall.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: Bad week, teams have bad weeks.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_00]: Relax, the Jaguars are foreign to.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_00]: They're currently in fifth place in the AFC.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: If the playoffs started today, they would be in the playoffs.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: And people are selling fear and panic.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: Relax.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_00]: Okay?
- 3:48[SPEAKER_00]: The jaguars are playing good football overall.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: They're doing a lot of things really well.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: You also had a couple moments where the Seahawks absolutely just caught the jaguars in the wrong coverage.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: And Liam Cohen explained it beautifully yesterday.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_00]: Those shot plays that they had down the field.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: Max Protect.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_00]: Jaguars were only Russian for, they had the perfect, you know, coverage beater dialed up for the coverage that the Jaguars were in, and they just nailed it.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: They're well-coached, and they also, you know, sometimes it just takes having that perfect moment.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: And they had a couple of those.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: Jaguars still held them to 20 points.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_00]: So, do not overreact to one loss.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: The NFL is an imperfect league.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: Look around the AFC right now.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: Look around the entire league.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: Pull up the standings, right?
- 4:55[SPEAKER_00]: Look around the entire league.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_00]: Who feels like, oh, we're out of the Super Bowl?
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: The Buffalo Bills?
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: No?
- 5:07[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's who everyone was telling me about last week, even after they lost to the Patriots, who are by the way, now, four and two, good for them.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: But no, the bills are, as I've said, I don't think that they have a good defense in any way, shape or form, and they have some issues.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: The Steelers are four and one.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not scared of the Steelers.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just not, right?
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: If the Jaguars had to go into Pittsburgh to win a game in the playoffs, am I worried about that one bit?
- 5:38[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody else in the AFC North is doing anything.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_00]: The Colts, obviously, are five and one.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they're feeling about as good as anyone in the league right now.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: Jaguar's have every opportunity to take them down and peg late in the year.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_00]: So, and, you know, Daniel Jones, I still feel like has the opportunity to Daniel Jones a little bit down the stretch.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: The chargers, they're pretty good, but they've got some big time injury issues.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: Pretty good football team.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_00]: Chiefs, but all these teams have war.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_00]: It's all these teams have losses.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_00]: There's only one team in the AFC with a better record, more wins I should say, than the Jaguars and that's the cults.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: The Steelers are four and one, they've had a buy week.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: But the Jags are in a fine spot.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: This is not a league where teams are perfect all year long.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_00]: You face adversity,
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 6:46[SPEAKER_00]: You face adversity and it's how you overcome that, moving forward.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's not about being perfect all year.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: It's about growing together and the jaguars are trying to grow together and kind of build some that camaraderie and all that stuff this week.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: That's why they're going to London early.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: That's why they're there already.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, I just think people need to relax a little bit.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: Relax about Devon Lloyd being injured.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: He's not been placed on injured reserve, so it's not like something they feel is going to hold him out a month or longer.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: And the jags they're super prepared.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: At linebacker, Ventral Miller can come in and do a good job.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, you want Devon Lloyd out there, but Ventral can play.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: Ventral can get out there and do the job a little bit for Devon Lloyd in my opinion.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't think that that's like something super worry some for one week.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: okay and yeah you know we got to bring it up people do not stop with the Trevor Lawrence panic they just don't stop like some people just want Trevor Lawrence to suck and the bottom line is the last two weeks he has done anything but suck
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: He has been getting better and better in this offense and he now look up and he has 10 total touchdowns and he's on pace to get 28 touchdowns and I think he's gonna get more than that just based on the way he's been playing lately.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: But the last two weeks, he has three touchdown passes, one interception, and add on two rushing touchdowns.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_00]: The last two weeks he has scored five touchdowns to one interception.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the guys plan some good ball, completion percentage of 72% against the Seahawks 64.3 against the, excuse me, 72% against the Chiefs 64.3 against the Seahawks.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_00]: His big time throws her up, his turnover worthy plays are down, right?
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: He faced an onslaught.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: against the Seahawk.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_00]: That was horrible.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_00]: And was he perfect?
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: I've never claimed that Trevor Loan's play in perfect football this year.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: He has little moments he can improve on tooth throughout the game.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_00]: But he's playing pretty good ball.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: And you had some crucial missed opportunities by our sewers yesterday.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_00]: None bigger, or I say yesterday.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: It was
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: you know, Brian Thomas Jr.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_00]: put in the ball on the ground on third down.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that was a trotis.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: But Lawrence played a good game, played a tough game.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: 258 yards, two touchdowns, completed almost 65% of his passes despite just facing and on slot the entire game.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_00]: One of the worst offensive line performance is I've ever seen for a for a Jaguar football team.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: straight up.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, keep Trevor Lawrence's name out your mouth.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: If you think that the jackwares need to move on, if you think that he needs to be traded, cut, whatever the hell you're talking about, I see all of y'all.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: I see you.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: And look, I got love for you, right?
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody who tunes in supports engages, I appreciate it.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: But
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: A, he ain't going anywhere.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_00]: B, he shouldn't be going anywhere.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: He's leading this football team well right now.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_00]: They're four and two with him at the helmet.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_00]: Quarterback, playing Goof football.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_00]: He has 10 touchdowns.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_00]: He's done pace for almost 30 touchdowns this year.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_00]: And he is growing in an offense.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_00]: Everyone's like, oh, it's year five.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_00]: He needs to be better.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's year one in Liam Cohen's offense, which is the first, okay.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: Year one of Doug Peterson's offense was like,
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: uh... you know twenty twenty two after he had you know urban in twenty twenty one it was like you're two getting in a dugs offence he had his first taste of like an actual NFL offense it was like going from high school or like g ed classes in year one to like actual you know NFL one-on-one
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: Now, Liam Cohen's offense is like NFL 501.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like it is complex, it is a lot to mentally process.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_00]: And he's handling it very well.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence is moving in the right direction folks, whether you want to acknowledge that or not is up to you.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_00]: But I think the Jack Wars are happy with his progress.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_00]: I'm happy with his progress.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: Again, five touchdowns and one interception in the last two games.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I had the fumble on the goal line.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, was that a fumble?
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: It was a roll to fumble.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_00]: I think if that was a rule day, touchdown on the field, it would have been kept as a touchdown.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, keep Trevor Lawrence, name out your mouth.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_00]: People panicking about the defensive front, saying, you know, the Jaguar is not having a good,
- 12:09[SPEAKER_00]: People are saying, Josh Heinz Allen ate him, all these things.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_00]: Josh Heinz Allen is facing, you know, Trevon was not on the field very much.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_00]: Josh Heinz Allen is facing more double and triple teams over the last two weeks and I've ever seen a player in my career, covering the NFL, covering the Jaguars.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's been wild to see.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: So, relax about Josh Heinz Allen.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_00]: you know, Trayvon is continuing to ramp up from the risk surgery and injury, all that stuff.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: Eric Romstead's doing a pretty good job on the interior rushing.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_00]: I think that Devon Hamilton is doing a really good job stuffing the run right now.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_00]: Dennis Gardeck has the ability to to generate some pressure.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: I think they could look at that a little bit more rushing him off the edge a little bit more.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I, I, I think to one, smoot can play better than he has has a imperfect for him.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: I think all of what you can say, the same thing about him.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_00]: You would like to see them step up a little bit.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_00]: Am I against adding someone else?
- 13:25[SPEAKER_00]: No, um, I think you could utilize Mason Smith a little bit more.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's been doing a good job rushing the passer.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't think it's time to panic.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_00]: Now,
- 13:39[SPEAKER_00]: high impact pass rusher on the interior of the defensive line is that a panic move no it's a move that says okay we have a pretty good group right now we have a defense that's stopping the run that's playing pretty good ball I mean the jackwares are allowing what are they allowing points per game was it's got to be close to the top of the league let's see here
- 14:16[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars are allowing exactly 20 points per game, which is tied for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_00]: That's tied for 7th and the league.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_00]: Like, let's not panic about the defense right now.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_00]: Okay?
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: Let's not do that.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_00]: It's unnecessary.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_00]: I think Anthony Campanile is a really good coach.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: He makes his things up on the front and the back end a lot, both pre and post snap.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_00]: Teams aren't perfect.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_00]: And you don't need to be perfect right now.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if you lose two games in a row, it's something to start talking about, right?
- 15:00[SPEAKER_00]: But that's not where the Jaguars are at right now.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_00]: Panicking about Greg Newsome, having to get out there,
- 15:11[SPEAKER_00]: a couple days after being here and covered Jackson's in with him, Jig, but don't worry about that.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that is crazy.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_00]: Don't worry about Greg Newsom.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_00]: He got out there and he should have had, I think I accidentally said it was covered three the other day, but it was quarters.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, do he kind of bit down and he needed to be in a better position, you know, in phase, if you will, in his coverage down the field better than he was
- 15:41[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguar has got caught in outside leverage, cover four or quarters, and it was a perfect call in a got him.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_00]: But don't panic about Greg Newsom right now.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: And let's not panic about the Travis Hunter usage.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_00]: It is still a work in progress.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars have a long-term vision for Travis Hunter.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_00]: And it's also about getting him through the whole of his rookie season, right?
- 16:07[SPEAKER_00]: You want to have him available for the big moments down the stretch, for the big moments.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_00]: Once you, this is a playoff team, y'all.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_00]: It's a playoff team.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars are, there's no reason they shouldn't make the playoffs.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_00]: This is a team that is three and one in their last four games.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_00]: Their quarterback is getting more and more comfortable.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_00]: Brian Thomas Jr.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_00]: getting more and more comfortable.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_00]: Even with that bad drop, that was a productive game.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think Travis Hunter is continuing to make plays on both sides of the ball, even in not full-time action.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_00]: Let's relax a little bit, folks.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_00]: See what these Jaguars can get going in week seven here.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_00]: Week seven against the Los Angeles Rams in London.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_00]: Keep my name out your mouth, if you're talking about Trevor Lawrence, if you're talking about, you know, James Gladstone doesn't know what he's doing, building a team, all this relax, relax, enjoy your Tuesday, appreciate y'all tuning in, if you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe, and y'all have a good one.
