Transcript
- 0:02Hello, everyone. Welcome back to EyeOpener Society. I'm very excited to have
- 0:07everybody gathered here.
- 0:08I thank you again, you're a wonderful audience for hitting play,
- 0:12downloading and everything else.
- 0:13And I just want to also say too, thank you to other countries,
- 0:18Spain, Germany, UK, Wales.
- 0:21I've noticed that a lot more people are picking us up from overseas And I welcome
- 0:26you with wide open arms Thank you for tuning in to us So I hope that we can
- 0:31get something done together But today we have Lizzie back again Thank you Lizzie
- 0:38Lizzie how are you doing?
- 0:40Doing just excellent, just enjoying the fall season.
- 0:44Yes, in the fall season, going into the winter season, going into the Christmas season.
- 0:49This is a time of year where we kind of become reclusive, at least for me. I know I do.
- 0:57And I was actually out recording another episode today, a solo episode,
- 1:01just in case you, Lizzie, were not able to do one today.
- 1:06But I'm going to put that one out anyway this week.
- 1:09But I went outdoors to do the episode and I'm keeping myself focused that way
- 1:16because as the sunlight starts to dissipate much earlier than normal and we
- 1:20get very little bit of sunlight,
- 1:22I've noticed some people and some of my own collective here at My Opener Society,
- 1:27they don't have the time because they're trying to focus on themselves.
- 1:32And this is good but if
- 1:35you're doing that and you the audience are
- 1:39you focusing on yourself like if you come around this time a
- 1:42year now you know now that i'm thinking about it some
- 1:45people are in temperate zones you know you don't have to deal with all the nothing
- 1:49with the shifting and the daylight savings time and all but those of you that
- 1:54do have the four seasons and experience that many people go and they recluse
- 2:00themselves and they hibernate, so to speak.
- 2:03But are you really reflecting on yourself? And that's something Lizzie and I
- 2:07were discussing because I think we need to focus on ourselves more.
- 2:11Once we come back and into the new season, we're refreshed.
- 2:16We have so much more to think about. We have so much more to say.
- 2:20And I'm just hoping that people are doing that. And I know, Lizzie,
- 2:23you have some thoughts on it too as well.
- 2:26Yeah, I think that it's just super important. You know, everybody likes to be
- 2:30high vibe all the time, right? Like that's the obsession.
- 2:33But it's really just not realistic.
- 2:35And I think in nature, it's naturally patterned in for time for pause.
- 2:40You know, the seasons, winter gets cold. You have to stay inside more,
- 2:44right? You pick more indoor activities.
- 2:46The moon even changes people's emotions, women's menstrual cycles.
- 2:50It's like built in all of it for just sometimes an activity,
- 2:54really high power. and then sometimes pause.
- 2:58And I think it's kind of like in a balance of both of those.
- 3:01And I think when you try to push one of them, it pushes you too hard into the other.
- 3:05I think that's maybe where seasonal depression came from. Or I think that's
- 3:08where mine came from anyways.
- 3:10Yeah. And it's funny that you mentioned that because I've done a whole podcast
- 3:14episode on that, but I changed the perspective.
- 3:16I went into seasonal happiness.
- 3:19What changes your mind on everything?
- 3:22You know, it really does help and say, Okay, well, the season's here.
- 3:25It's really not that bad.
- 3:27But you also mentioned like in the whole witchcraft society too,
- 3:31you know, it's a celebration of each season and each season holds some meaning anyway.
- 3:37So winter and witchcraft represents the death of everything.
- 3:41It's a life cycle. We got to live, we got to die. And then there's a rebirth on that.
- 3:46And I think that's a lot of the reason too. So a lot of people do feel that
- 3:49this time of year is the start of the death season.
- 3:55Yeah. I mean, in nature, the trees all die and we all kind of focus.
- 3:59And like I said, with the activities inwards for me personally,
- 4:02I think this started because my birthday's in October. Right.
- 4:05And so a long time ago, I started a tradition where every year I do a journal
- 4:09entry, kind of not quite a summary over the last year, but just kind of a,
- 4:13just like a little bit of where my thoughts are at that time.
- 4:17And it kind of ends up starting like a whole season
- 4:20of self-reflection and then
- 4:23as I got older and I kind of really watched the seasons I
- 4:26think what happens is if you can catch the wave of something
- 4:29it goes really easy but when like this
- 4:32society tries to keep us going the same every day
- 4:35right summer winter same level of activity
- 4:38every day of the week and I think that
- 4:41that just throws you off because you
- 4:44can't maintain that and if you can follow
- 4:47the flow of it and naturally go up and
- 4:50down with it then so self-reflect
- 4:53for me from about my birthday mid-october to
- 4:57yule december 21st that's supposed
- 4:59to be like the birth of the sun right that's when
- 5:02days start getting longer that the 21st is usually the longest night of the
- 5:06year and so at that point you're still quote self-reflecting because it's winter
- 5:11time or whatever but it's more about dreaming and building because you're catching
- 5:15the flow of something new versus closing out something old.
- 5:21I like that. And I like that because it's also something that I was thinking about doing too.
- 5:27And I actually did start doing that for this year, especially.
- 5:30And I just started recently. I was fascinated with looking into all different religions.
- 5:36And I started to research a little bit. And I picked up the Book of Enoch.
- 5:42And I started reading that. And I want to also pick up anything related to Buddhism and all.
- 5:50And I'm trying to apply all of the different thoughts.
- 5:54Ominism. You know, it's fascinating to me. Religions, at least.
- 5:58Because no matter what you read, there's always some similarities.
- 6:04Places and names kind of change. But there's similarities across all these different books.
- 6:10And I've been more fascinated not with
- 6:13religion but just philosophies of religion much like
- 6:16Buddhism is a philosophy hermeticism that's my favorite
- 6:19that's what you know I got tattooed on me it's hermeticism it's it's all a philosophy
- 6:24but a lot of this it really seems to pack into the same bible that everybody
- 6:31you know follows you know you're not going to find the stories to be exactly
- 6:35the same, but they relate extremely.
- 6:39And of course, me, I sit there and as I read all these things,
- 6:43I replaced the people with aliens
- 6:46because it suddenly makes so much more sense when you're reading it.
- 6:51And the one thing that fascinated me with the book of Enoch,
- 6:55when they describe God, God is a person with an entourage and clothing and all.
- 7:02To me, that wouldn't be you.
- 7:05An almighty source a creator of all things
- 7:08that's a person or an alien
- 7:12so i like
- 7:15this and that's why i'm going to dive deeper into this during the colder season
- 7:18so instead of going through seasonal depression i get to go through a seasonal
- 7:23learning and i start to apply that to my own stuff because the one thing i mentioned
- 7:27to you i wanted to practice more of my intuition and some of my gifts,
- 7:32finding out more what they are and how to use them and how to apply them.
- 7:36And it takes practice. And I figure might as well do that rather than just sit
- 7:41and say, oh, it's it's winter and it sucks.
- 7:44You know, you got to do something different or better than what you think you
- 7:47need to do during this time of year.
- 7:50Oh, yeah, for sure. It's so easy to just want to like curl up and watch a movie or something.
- 7:55You know what I mean? And just like get through it. But truly,
- 7:59like if you can use that pause for learning or or whatever it is that you're
- 8:02doing you just the next year will be will be better it's not that and not monotonous
- 8:08oh i can't say the word right now yeah right.
- 8:13Of the same every single year i think that's why people get really like uh anxious
- 8:19and stuck in a rut is because they're doing it every day the same and every
- 8:23year the same and you have to mix it up winter i've been thinking about painting
- 8:27again because it's been a while since i've painted,
- 8:30and now it's going to be cold. We can't go do nothing.
- 8:33Seems like a good time to just start painting again because otherwise I'll watch
- 8:37TV and I don't really want to do that. Yeah, yeah, I hear you.
- 8:42And as the audience knows, and as I know especially, it's like I know you take
- 8:47pauses yourself when your energy is getting too much and you even told me the
- 8:53other day, hey, this might be it.
- 8:55You might not hear from me for a little while and I get that.
- 8:58That's Lizzie, you know, and...
- 9:02What I like, though, about that, you recognize these patterns.
- 9:07And then when you do take your breaks, you come back more fascinating than you were before.
- 9:12And then I'm more fascinated and it drives me, you know.
- 9:17So this is a good thing. You have a pattern that you follow yourself, but you listen to it.
- 9:23And I think that's what everybody needs to do.
- 9:26Everybody should say, hey, I'm feeling a little stressed out.
- 9:28No, rather than focus on that, recognize it and turn around and say,
- 9:32okay, we're going to do something about it.
- 9:36And you reinvent yourself. You know, in some way, you don't have to change everything.
- 9:41But yeah, change things up.
- 9:44Learn something new. Like me, I want to learn more about religions.
- 9:46You want to go back to painting.
- 9:48Maybe some people want to go into music or whatever the case.
- 9:51Maybe reinvent yourself.
- 9:52Try something new. So this way, something new emerges because just like you
- 9:57said, this winter is not so much the death of everything, but it's the beginning
- 10:01of the rebirth because it's just a cycle.
- 10:04Just because we're going through the season of death, it's really a rebirth
- 10:08because that's what's next. And we can't have that next step without the death, if that makes sense.
- 10:16Yeah, everything, everything. feminine masculine energy light dark creation
- 10:22destruction it all balances back and forth and you really can't have one without
- 10:26the other and same with like as you're trying to.
- 10:31Evolve yourself you have to turn inward and
- 10:34then you have to turn outward you have to go inward
- 10:37and do all this work find all this peace find all this
- 10:40creation and then you have to share it with the world and
- 10:43that's going to adjust how you're feeling about it what you're doing with it
- 10:46and then you're going to turn back inward again and I think that's where I think
- 10:50a lot of people get stuck is because they they have a hard time sharing it or
- 10:54how to pull that out because that That's hard to be perceived and to share your own perspectives.
- 11:01Yeah, it is. And actually, if anybody is having any difficulty with that,
- 11:06I mean, they could contact you because you're very good at that.
- 11:09I mean, you worked with me the other day. You did not have to, but you did. Yeah.
- 11:15It made me feel confident. It really did.
- 11:18Because, I mean, even though most of the stuff I knew what was going on, you reinforced it.
- 11:23Because you're coming from a completely different, not just so much a different
- 11:27perspective, but Christ, you're coming from a whole other state so far away, you know.
- 11:31But yet, you're still connected enough to read these things.
- 11:35So, definitely, people need to reach out to Lizzie.
- 11:38And you can be found on TikTok, energy.by.lizzie. and it's on TikTok or on Instagram.
- 11:44If you check your Instagram, I don't know.
- 11:47I might actually delete that one. I'm having a moment with it. I got you.
- 11:52But you can always reach out to EOSmeditation at gmail.com.
- 11:57That's the email for us here at Eye Opener Society.
- 12:02And I can always get you in touch with Lizzie because she's really good at this.
- 12:05And that's the focus of these podcasts really is I want to help people in some
- 12:10way, shape or form, whether you're just listening to us for entertainment or
- 12:15if you're actually taking something away.
- 12:17And if you are, that makes me feel great.
- 12:20And that's what I always try to do. And like I said, I have no practice.
- 12:25I have no certifications for meditation and all that.
- 12:28That's like saying Jesus needs a certification.
- 12:32Think about that. But I've been doing it for so long that maybe the way I'm doing it,
- 12:39somebody could use a few tips and tricks. And that's why Wednesday night meditations
- 12:43have changed a little bit.
- 12:44I went from guiding meditations to giving people tips and tricks and ideas and focus on how to do it.
- 12:50But again, you do the research and find what works for you. Just like Lizzie
- 12:55finds what works for her, I find what works for me.
- 12:58We can help each other out as a collective. And by the way, how are you doing on that, Lizzie?
- 13:03I know you wanted to try and start a club um have
- 13:07you been on top of that have you gotten any new ideas for
- 13:09that um so i am going to start a club because
- 13:13i think that needing to be certified in order to
- 13:15balance your own energy is illogical and i
- 13:18agree with you i think if we all just come together and we're
- 13:21like hey this thing is working for me then everybody
- 13:24else can take pieces of it and build their own
- 13:27thing and that's that's what i want i want to build somehow
- 13:30a collection of people where they can be
- 13:33like hey I'm looking at this thing right here and
- 13:35this is what I'm learning about it and everybody else can kind of
- 13:38put their two cents in and we can all practice something
- 13:41together and I want to create this so badly but I have a zero money for it and
- 13:47not really any knowledge on what technology can create a space where I can moderate
- 13:53but not but like still allow people to be free to add stuff.
- 13:59And, you know, we are in a capitalistic world. People need to make money.
- 14:02I want a spot where I can make money and other people can make money,
- 14:05but also there's stuff for free because it shouldn't be behind a paywall,
- 14:09but your time should be paid for.
- 14:11And so there's like there's so many things going into it that I just don't yet
- 14:15know how to create this logistically for people across.
- 14:20Wherever they're at. Well, I'll definitely try and assist you with that because the concept,
- 14:25the whole idea is really, and I think it's actually needed because,
- 14:31yeah, I think coming into a room where people have like-minded problems or whatever,
- 14:37and we all work it out collectively, I think we learn so much more.
- 14:43What I've learned, especially in the past year and all, Is any type of mental
- 14:47health It's so It's so limited These days And you can't find help When it's really needed.
- 14:58You know If you're in a crisis Obviously you
- 15:01need something immediate But to have some sort of long term care Ever since
- 15:05COVID A lot of that's gone away It's such an overfilled feel Like there's just
- 15:10no more room And even I had difficulty Trying to find it at one time So I said
- 15:15it's so much easier to talk to people with similar problems and all.
- 15:20And even if they don't have it, the same problem is,
- 15:23They might have thoughts and ideas that actually may be beneficial to you.
- 15:27So I like that idea of a club, much like a book club, but coming in just as
- 15:31people club. We're coming in as a collective.
- 15:34This is what we got. This is where I am at spiritually. This is how I've been feeling.
- 15:38Has anybody else explored that? So I really would like to get that rolling with you.
- 15:43I really think, like I said, it's needed. It's a great idea.
- 15:46And I think it's something you would be very good, you know,
- 15:51leading because you just have that ability.
- 15:54You've been doing it long enough. You've been working with energy long enough.
- 15:57And just from what you've done with me. Yeah, it needs to be done.
- 16:01OK, so let's do it. Thank you. I appreciate it.
- 16:05For a long time, I wanted to start like a school or something for people to
- 16:09learn how to do it themselves. That was, I think, the first course that I had
- 16:12put out when I first got on TikTok is essentially all like the basic skills.
- 16:16But when it comes down to it, everybody truly just has such a unique path.
- 16:21It's not really logical for it to be like an educational type thing.
- 16:25It's got to be an inspirational thing.
- 16:28And, yeah, we've got to figure out how to do that. The whole thing's got to
- 16:31be flipped. Everything's just wrong. I got you.
- 16:36Well, we'll get it together. It's a thought right now. It's in the thought process.
- 16:40We'll get it on paper together.
- 16:42And I'll help you as a friend. And we'll get this out there for everybody.
- 16:46And I would love for it to see the light of day And we could bring people into it,
- 16:52So again Audience out there Everybody that's listening Especially all the other
- 16:57countries now That are tuning into us I'm extremely appreciative of that And
- 17:02I really appreciate your listens And all that.
- 17:06So, again, if you need Lizzie on TikTok, energy.by.lizzie. And you can find her on TikTok.

- 17:27as well as Sunset Child's Out There podcast.
- 17:29I'm hoping we get something from The Sound Within as well, from Hannah Rose.
- 17:33There's so many people in this collective But
- 17:37also once I move And I'm in my new space My
- 17:40stepdaughter Hannah With Hannah's unrealistic desires I'm
- 17:44going to be lighting the fire under her ass To get some episodes out I will
- 17:47definitely be helping her with that So yeah definitely everybody Keep tuning
- 17:52in because there's always Going to be something new something different I'm
- 17:56going to try more of the story time as well Hey whatever works We're going to
- 18:00do it Lizzie I thank you again And thank you for your,
- 18:03you know, not only being a co-host, but for being a wonderful friend and for
- 18:09sharing everything that you have. It's always good talking to you.
