- 0:00Speaker 1: Three things you need to know. Happy Friday, friends.
- 0:03Speaker 2: We made it so happy you're here to start this
- 0:05Speaker 2: beautiful day with us. Ricky Sanchez has those three things
- 0:08Speaker 2: presented by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 0:10Speaker 3: Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bon Jovi have welcomed another baby.
- 0:13Speaker 3: They've happily adopted another baby. They kind of teased this
- 0:18Speaker 3: recently when they posted pictures of them vacationing in Italy
- 0:23Speaker 3: and Jake.
- 0:23Speaker 4: Had on a baby carrier.
- 0:25Speaker 3: So there was kind of some hints there, but the
- 0:26Speaker 3: couple adopted their first baby last summer, something that Millie
- 0:29Speaker 3: Bobby Brown has said recently. I've been very open about
- 0:32Speaker 3: the fact that that's always been part of her childhood
- 0:35Speaker 3: dreams is to one day adopt. So now they shared
- 0:38Speaker 3: the post of their second baby's foot yesterday to introduce
- 0:41Speaker 3: him to the world.
- 0:43Speaker 4: So congrats to the two of them.
- 0:45Speaker 3: We are not getting any break from the heat anytime soon.
- 0:48Speaker 4: As we are sitting in.
- 0:49Speaker 3: A heat dome right now, a heat advisory continues for
- 0:52Speaker 3: most of Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky until 8 p.m.
- 0:55Speaker 4: On Saturday.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Record-setting temperatures are going to last through.
- 0:59Speaker 4: The rest of the week. This is gross. It's been gross.
- 1:02Speaker 3: We're looking at temperatures that are going to have feel-like temps.
- 1:05Speaker 3: over 105 degrees. So same spiel I've been giving you
- 1:09Speaker 3: for what feels like the entirety of summer. Please drink
- 1:12Speaker 3: a lot of water, more water than you've ever drank
- 1:14Speaker 3: in your life. Please stay in the shade if you can.
- 1:17Speaker 3: Do not be outside unless you absolutely have to. And
- 1:19Speaker 3: just be careful. Check on the elderly, your pets, and
- 1:22Speaker 3: the kids because it's a heat that we're just not
- 1:27Speaker 3: used to. I know it feels like we're used to
- 1:28Speaker 3: it at this point because it's been all summer long.
- 1:30Speaker 3: We are not equipped for this and we are not
- 1:32Speaker 3: used to this. So please just drink a lot of water.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Stay as cool as humanly possible.
- 1:37Speaker 4: And the National Toy Hall of Fame.
- 1:39Speaker 3: They released their 2026 finalist list.
- 1:42Speaker 4: I'm going to tell you guys who's on it, okay?
- 1:43Speaker 3: Because the public gets to vote on these nominees until
- 1:47Speaker 3: September 23rd.
- 1:48Speaker 4: So you have some time to vote for your favorite. Sorry, Yahtzee, Mahjong, Kevin.
- 1:54Speaker 5: That's a game.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Bingo, Bop It, Care Bears, Monster High, Mousetrap, Pokemon Trading
- 2:01Speaker 3: Card Game. Polly Pocket, Tickle Me Elmo, and just the
- 2:05Speaker 3: classic playground slide.
- 2:07Speaker 5: Wow, that's a versatile list there.
- 2:09Speaker 2: That's a wide variety.
- 2:11Speaker 5: Man, I might go with Tickle Me Elmo because of
- 2:12Speaker 5: the impact he had on culture.
- 2:14Speaker 3: We're going to have to have a conversation about this.
- 2:16Speaker 3: I think later on in the show, we'll talk about,
- 2:18Speaker 3: you know, our favorite toys and which one we think
- 2:20Speaker 3: should make the cut and get inducted into the National Toy.
- 2:23Speaker 4: Hall of Fame. Because this is tough.
- 2:25Speaker 3: This is a tough list right here. Three of these
- 2:27Speaker 3: are going to be inducted in November. And like I said,
- 2:30Speaker 3: the public does have until September 23rd to vote on
- 2:32Speaker 3: these nominees. I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three
- 2:35Speaker 3: things you need to know.
- 2:35Speaker 5: How could you not vote for the slide, though? You
- 2:37Speaker 5: know it's a slide.
- 2:38Speaker 1: All right.
- 2:39Speaker 4: This is tough.
- 2:40Speaker 2: We've got Lil Wayne tickets on the way. We've had
- 2:42Speaker 2: them all week. This is your last chance to grab these.
- 2:43Speaker 2: They are coming within 10 minutes. But first, on this
- 2:46Speaker 2: New Music Friday, this is new from Rosé. You know
- 2:48Speaker 2: her from Blackpink. She just put this song out. It's
- 2:51Speaker 2: called New Trick. New Music Friday from Rosé on the river.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 2:57Speaker 5: There's Bieber. It's the river. Happy Friday, everybody. Happy Friday.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Betty, Betty is on the line. She's in Murfreesboro right now.
- 3:04Speaker 2: What's going on, Betty?
- 3:06Speaker 6: Um, I set my alarm clock to wake up at
- 3:09Speaker 6: six o'clock this morning so I could try to win
- 3:11Speaker 6: the little Wayne ticket.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Okay.
- 3:13Speaker 3: So you're specifically up right now because of that.
- 3:16Speaker 4: What time do you normally wake.
- 3:17Speaker 5: Up, Betty?
- 3:18Speaker 6: I normally wake up at like 10 a.m.
- 3:20Speaker 3: Good for you. Good for you. But the fact that
- 3:26Speaker 3: you set the alarm, you're like, I'm not missing out
- 3:28Speaker 3: on these tickets.
- 3:29Speaker 6: Yes, I'm so excited.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Did I win the ticket?
- 3:32Speaker 1: Betty, hold on.
- 3:34Speaker 7: I just have to say that I really love your
- 3:35Speaker 7: raspy voice. Is it always like that or is it
- 3:37Speaker 7: because you got up so early?
- 3:40Speaker 6: It's because I woke up super early and I didn't
- 3:42Speaker 6: go to bed until.
- 3:43Speaker 8: Like 1 a.m.
- 3:44Speaker 6: Because I'm just a night person anyways.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Betty, the idea of going to bed at 1 a.m.
- 3:50Speaker 3: and then waking up this early is my worst nightmare.
- 3:53Speaker 3: We are so old, the three of us, because we
- 3:56Speaker 3: had to wake up so early. We're like, oh, we're
- 3:58Speaker 3: in bed by 8 p.m., 9 p.m.
- 4:00Speaker 5: I was in bed by 8 p.m. last night watching HGTV.
- 4:04Speaker 6: No way.
- 4:05Speaker 1: That is so early. Oh, no.
- 4:08Speaker 5: That's the normal time to go to sleep. Crazy person.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Are you still in bed currently? Are you laying flat
- 4:13Speaker 2: on your back right now?
- 4:14Speaker 6: No, I'm walking around pacing in circles in my house
- 4:17Speaker 6: with the radio on in the kitchen.
- 4:19Speaker 4: She's nervous. She's anxious. Also, what a weird question.
- 4:22Speaker 3: Well, I just wanted to paint the picture.
- 4:24Speaker 5: I wanted to know if, you know.
- 4:25Speaker 3: Paint the picture of Betty's in bed laying down.
- 4:28Speaker 5: What are we wearing, Betty? No. As soon as, like, okay,
- 4:31Speaker 5: let's pretend that you win the tickets. Are you going
- 4:32Speaker 5: to be able to go back to sleep or no?
- 4:34Speaker 4: No, no, no, no, not at all.
- 4:36Speaker 1: All right, Betty.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Well, we got good news and bad news, okay? You
- 4:40Speaker 3: want the good news first or the bad news first?
- 4:42Speaker 6: Bad news and good news. Okay, so the.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Bad news, Betty, is that you're not going to be
- 4:47Speaker 3: able to go back to bed because you are the
- 4:48Speaker 3: first caller of the.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Day on 107.5 The River.
- 4:50Speaker 3: You get tickets to Lil Wayne.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 4:54Speaker 7: So it was worth it.
- 4:55Speaker 6: It was worth me setting that alarm clock.
- 4:58Speaker 5: It was worth it.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Yes, it was.
- 5:00Speaker 5: This is the best. You're awesome, Betty. Thank you so
- 5:02Speaker 5: much for setting that alarm clock.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Thanks for calling us. The show is next Friday night.
- 5:07Speaker 2: You're going to have a great time.
- 5:08Speaker 6: Oh my God, thank you so much.
- 5:10Speaker 3: You are so welcome. Your energy, all of this has
- 5:13Speaker 3: set the tone for the day. We are all smiling
- 5:15Speaker 3: over here. We're so happy for.
- 5:17Speaker 1: You, Betty. Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 5:20Speaker 3: On 107.5 The River.
- 5:21Speaker 4: We like to help you plan your weekend.
- 5:24Speaker 3: It's Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning on 107.5
- 5:27Speaker 3: The River.
- 5:27Speaker 4: Two reasons.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Sometimes it's tough to keep up with everything happening here
- 5:31Speaker 3: in Nashville. And the other reason being that.
- 5:33Speaker 4: We don't get to talk to you on the weekend.
- 5:34Speaker 3: So if we tell you ideas and then you do them,
- 5:37Speaker 3: you're still thinking about us.
- 5:38Speaker 5: And maybe we will see you there.
- 5:39Speaker 4: Yeah, and then sometimes we bump into you there.
- 5:41Speaker 3: So Zach's got a list of what's happening this weekend
- 5:43Speaker 3: here in Nashville.
- 5:44Speaker 7: Okay, so first and foremost, our friends at the Nashville
- 5:46Speaker 7: Scene are doing their annual Margarita Festival. It is happening
- 5:50Speaker 7: tomorrow from 6 p.m.
- 5:52Speaker 5: To 9 p.m. at One City.
- 5:55Speaker 7: So they feature a bunch of different margarita samples. So
- 5:57Speaker 7: you get 12 different margarita samples, and then you get
- 6:00Speaker 7: to vote on your favorite margarita. So someone, some restaurant
- 6:03Speaker 7: in Nashville is going to win the crown for the
- 6:06Speaker 7: best margarita in Nashville.
- 6:07Speaker 4: Why are you laughing, Kev?
- 6:08Speaker 2: Because I love the idea that people drink 12 margaritas
- 6:11Speaker 2: and then vote.
- 6:13Speaker 3: But there's smaller margaritas.
- 6:15Speaker 4: It's a sample. Yeah.
- 6:17Speaker 5: It's not like the goblet at a Mexican restaurant.
- 6:20Speaker 3: It's because Kevin should never have 12 margaritas. That's why
- 6:23Speaker 3: he's thinking about that.
- 6:25Speaker 7: So if you want to go enjoy 12 margaritas, go
- 6:28Speaker 7: to the Margarita Festival. It's at One City tomorrow from
- 6:31Speaker 7: 6 to 9. I also love this because Davidson County
- 6:34Speaker 7: is asking everybody to kind of step up and help
- 6:37Speaker 7: with our state parks. So today at Radnor Lake State Park,
- 6:40Speaker 7: they're asking that people come out between 2 and 5 p.m.
- 6:43Speaker 7: and participate in the trail recovery efforts from the ice
- 6:46Speaker 7: storm back in January. They're still trying to recover all
- 6:49Speaker 7: of the trails at Radnor Lake State Park.
- 6:52Speaker 5: So that is today from 2 to 5.
- 6:53Speaker 7: Also tomorrow at Longhunter State Park from 10 a.m. to
- 6:57Speaker 7: 1 p.m., they want people to come out and help
- 7:00Speaker 7: clear debris washing up along the lake's shoreline. So if
- 7:03Speaker 7: you want to help our state parks stay beautiful and
- 7:05Speaker 7: help everybody enjoy them, you can go out and help that.
- 7:08Speaker 4: Love that.
- 7:08Speaker 3: Keep in mind to bring a lot of water when
- 7:11Speaker 3: you're doing it.
- 7:12Speaker 4: It's great to help out. We genuinely definitely need it.
- 7:16Speaker 3: It's going to be real hot, so you need to
- 7:18Speaker 3: make sure that you are hydrated.
- 7:19Speaker 5: Water and margaritas, yeah.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Same thing with the margarita festival, yeah.
- 7:24Speaker 5: Drink extra water.
- 7:25Speaker 7: I do also want to say that I just love
- 7:27Speaker 7: the name of this one. It is the Hot Diggity
- 7:29Speaker 7: Dog Fest. And it's happening in Capitol View on Saturday
- 7:33Speaker 7: tomorrow from 11 a.m.
- 7:34Speaker 5: To 4 p.m.
- 7:35Speaker 7: And so basically, it's a festival for dog lovers. So
- 7:39Speaker 7: you can bring your dog, your friends that love dogs.
- 7:42Speaker 7: And the theme for this year is the Great Dog Show.
- 7:45Speaker 7: So they're going to have, like, good food, local pet
- 7:48Speaker 7: adoption organizations, a top dog contest.
- 7:51Speaker 5: Like, there's so many different things. And admission is free. Kelly,
- 7:54Speaker 5: did you know this?
- 7:55Speaker 4: He thought it was me.
- 7:56Speaker 5: Top dog law. Top dog law contest. Top dog law contest.
- 8:00Speaker 7: Yep, so the top dog contest is at the Hot
- 8:02Speaker 7: Diggity Dog Festival in Capitol View tomorrow. And then lastly,
- 8:07Speaker 7: we have to talk about the fact that the Titans
- 8:09Speaker 7: are going to lose another football game on Sunday.
- 8:11Speaker 5: They're playing the Eagles.
- 8:13Speaker 1: What?
- 8:13Speaker 5: They're going to lose another game?
- 8:15Speaker 3: Let them at least try before we, you know, knock them.
- 8:18Speaker 4: We can knock them on Monday.
- 8:19Speaker 1: If they lose.
- 8:19Speaker 5: The Titans are going to try their best on Sunday.
- 8:21Speaker 4: Thank you, that's better.
- 8:23Speaker 5: Playing the Eagles. The game starts at noon at Nissan Stadium.
- 8:26Speaker 7: So if you're going... Make sure you go to Margarita
- 8:28Speaker 7: Fest first.
- 8:29Speaker 5: And make it a lot easier. Tighten up.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Thank you, Zach.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Appreciate it. Lots going on as always. Get out there
- 8:35Speaker 2: and enjoy the city. Just stay cool and drink your water.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Three things you need to know. All right.
- 8:40Speaker 5: Just after seven o'clock on this Friday morning.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Happy Friday. Ricky's got those three things presented by Mark
- 8:45Speaker 2: Spain Real Estate.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Nashville has named September 25th Dolly Day. We're celebrating Dolly
- 8:50Speaker 3: Day with citywide events honoring Dolly Parton's legacy of music, generosity,
- 8:54Speaker 3: and community service. People are invited to wear pink and
- 8:57Speaker 3: donate to local causes. Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood said
- 9:00Speaker 3: that proceeds from their Friends in Low Places bar and
- 9:03Speaker 3: honky-tonk on September 25th are going to be donated to
- 9:05Speaker 3: the Nashville Public Library and Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. Super cool.
- 9:10Speaker 3: The Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum will donate $ 9. 25
- 9:13Speaker 3: from each admission to to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, and
- 9:18Speaker 3: a bunch of other places are getting involved. Obviously, as
- 9:20Speaker 3: we get closer to September 25th, we'll tell you all
- 9:23Speaker 3: the ways that you can get involved as well. The
- 9:25Speaker 3: day is going to end with a fireworks show at 9.25 p.m.
- 9:29Speaker 3: As you see, there is a theme here. But this
- 9:32Speaker 3: is really exciting stuff and such a great.
- 9:33Speaker 4: Way to honor Dolly.
- 9:36Speaker 3: A Swiftie believes that she's solved the riddle that Taylor
- 9:38Speaker 3: Swift said in the Emmys award skit that she did.
- 9:41Speaker 3: So Taylor took some time during a pre-taped Law &
- 9:44Speaker 3: Order SVU sketch. To give fans a few Easter eggs.
- 9:47Speaker 4: Here she is.
- 9:48Speaker 3: I think what we're going to be looking for is
- 9:51Speaker 3: hiding in plain sight. Saccharide Aries from the vineyard north
- 9:57Speaker 3: or south. Everybody obviously was like, okay. that is just
- 10:01Speaker 3: like a riddle that we need to figure out everyone's
- 10:03Speaker 3: been trying to crack it this woman anna demore she
- 10:06Speaker 3: scrambled the words and letters to write a complete sentence
- 10:09Speaker 3: about taylor's music so it's quote my first records re-record
- 10:13Speaker 3: is out november nov 10th Ha.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Wow. Really?
- 10:20Speaker 2: All those, that weird little riddle that Taylor just gave you,
- 10:22Speaker 2: unscramble that, and that's what you get?
- 10:24Speaker 3: Apparently, that's what she's saying. The only issue here is
- 10:26Speaker 3: that November 10th is a Tuesday, which is kind of
- 10:28Speaker 3: a weird time to drop any music. Friday is typically
- 10:32Speaker 3: the release day. And this unscrambled anagram only works using Aries,
- 10:37Speaker 3: the god of war, rather than Aries, the zodiac sign.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Because even though both of them sound the same, they're
- 10:43Speaker 3: spelt differently.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Weird.
- 10:45Speaker 4: We'll see. Obviously, she's trying to tell us something. We're
- 10:48Speaker 4: just going to have to wait and see who's right
- 10:49Speaker 4: on it.
- 10:50Speaker 3: And American Girl, they unveiled their 2027 Girl of the Year.
- 10:54Speaker 4: Her name is Daisy Davenport.
- 10:57Speaker 3: She's from Madison, Wisconsin, and is American Girl's first character
- 11:00Speaker 3: from that state. In her story, we're taken back to
- 11:04Speaker 3: Camp Red. Go-O-Noggin, which is the same summer camp that
- 11:08Speaker 3: the original American.
- 11:09Speaker 4: Girl doll, Molly McIntyre, went to.
- 11:12Speaker 3: The Daisy doll is dressed in Camp Adventure outfits, wearing
- 11:15Speaker 3: a purple T-shirt, dark blue pleated denim skort, purple sneakers
- 11:20Speaker 3: and striped socks.
- 11:21Speaker 4: She looks adorable. I love her name. I think it's
- 11:23Speaker 4: so cute.
- 11:24Speaker 3: I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things you
- 11:26Speaker 3: need to know. Class is in session.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Zach's Facts, brought to you by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 11:33Speaker 1: On 107.5 The River.
- 11:35Speaker 7: Did you guys know that of the 10 most widely
- 11:37Speaker 7: spoken languages, English is the only one that does not
- 11:41Speaker 7: have a guiding institution to set language standards.
- 11:44Speaker 5: That makes sense.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:46Speaker 7: So what that means is while experts like to dictate
- 11:49Speaker 7: language rules, they don't have any official or decisive power.
- 11:52Speaker 4: That makes so much sense.
- 11:54Speaker 7: I love this so much because every time that you
- 11:56Speaker 7: say that I'm saying something incorrectly, this just verifies that
- 11:59Speaker 7: everything is made up anyways.
- 12:01Speaker 5: There's no official rules. You're right.
- 12:03Speaker 3: You can say things however you want. People just may
- 12:06Speaker 3: not understand what you're saying.
- 12:07Speaker 5: That's fine. That's their problem.
- 12:09Speaker 1: There's no rules.
- 12:10Speaker 5: It makes sense because the English language is just chaos. Absolutely.
- 12:14Speaker 5: And there's your fact.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Of the day. 107.5, the river.
- 12:16Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 12:19Speaker 3: The National Toy Hall of Fame released its 2026 finalist list.
- 12:23Speaker 3: We want to know who you think should go into
- 12:26Speaker 3: the Hall of Fame from this list, okay?
- 12:28Speaker 4: Listen up.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Sorry, Yahtzee, Mahjong, Bingo, Bop It, Care Bears, Monster High, Mousetrap,
- 12:36Speaker 3: Pokemon Trading Card Game, Polly Pocket, Tickle Me.
- 12:39Speaker 4: Elmo, Or the playground slide.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Dang, that is such a great list. My God, Bop
- 12:46Speaker 2: It is so fun. It's a slide that you can't
- 12:49Speaker 2: be the, then tickle me.
- 12:52Speaker 5: Okay, 615-737-9107.
- 12:52Speaker 2: If you had to vote for one of those to
- 12:55Speaker 2: go in the Toy Hall of Fame, let us.
- 12:57Speaker 5: Know which one. It's the river. Ricky, Zach, and Mano
- 13:00Speaker 5: in the morning.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Ricky rattled off this list a few minutes ago. The
- 13:03Speaker 2: National Toy Hall of Fame just released their 2026 finalists.
- 13:07Speaker 2: There's a bunch of them.
- 13:09Speaker 4: There's a lot here.
- 13:10Speaker 5: Most of the phone calls were voting for Tickle Me Elmo.
- 13:14Speaker 2: I mean, they were varied. We got some Pokemons as well.
- 13:16Speaker 2: But Tickle Me Elmo seems to be the frontrunner at
- 13:19Speaker 2: the moment.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Do you want to hear the list real quick again?
- 13:22Speaker 1: Sure.
- 13:22Speaker 4: One more time.
- 13:24Speaker 2: I do think it should be Tickle Me Elmo because
- 13:26Speaker 2: of the impact it had on culture.
- 13:29Speaker 5: It was such a huge thing. Okay, go ahead with
- 13:31Speaker 5: the list.
- 13:32Speaker 4: The list, we obviously disagree with Kevin.
- 13:33Speaker 3: But the list is Sorry, Yahtzee, Mahjong, Bingo, Bop It,
- 13:38Speaker 3: Care Bears, Monster High, Mousetrap, Pokemon Trading Card Game, Polly Pocket,
- 13:43Speaker 3: Tickle Me Elmo, and the Playground Slide.
- 13:46Speaker 5: Also, I do like Mahjong. I play Mahjong. Mahjong's awesome.
- 13:49Speaker 5: But I don't think it's a toy.
- 13:50Speaker 1: It's a game.
- 13:51Speaker 4: Well, I mean, I was looking.
- 13:53Speaker 7: At the inductees for the past, and they have, like,
- 13:55Speaker 7: Phase 10, like, card games and stuff.
- 13:57Speaker 4: Yeah, the games count. I don't know.
- 13:59Speaker 2: That'd be like putting poker in there, actually. I mean,
- 14:00Speaker 2: people bet money on Mahjong. It's not a toy.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Okay, well, it's not our fault that you guys took
- 14:05Speaker 3: a very innocent game and started gambling with it, okay?
- 14:08Speaker 4: That is not our issue.
- 14:09Speaker 3: I will say I disagree about the Tickle Me Elmo thing, okay?
- 14:12Speaker 3: I understand the impact that he had on culture, and
- 14:14Speaker 3: I know a lot of people.
- 14:15Speaker 4: Really love it.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Kevin really wants to do his Elmo impression. I think
- 14:18Speaker 3: that's why he's voting for it. I do a Mickey impression.
- 14:21Speaker 3: My Elmo's not good, though.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Okay, fine. I'll do it. Go ahead.
- 14:25Speaker 5: Go ahead.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Christ.
- 14:27Speaker 5: Now I'm on the spot. I don't have one anymore.
- 14:29Speaker 3: Okay, can I say which one I think it should be?
- 14:32Speaker 4: I'm torn.
- 14:32Speaker 5: How does he do it? Okay, keep going.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Ricky, please go.
- 14:36Speaker 4: I'm torn between two options here, okay?
- 14:40Speaker 3: I am torn between Polly Pocket because that was my
- 14:43Speaker 3: lifeblood growing up. Like, I loved that so much. I
- 14:47Speaker 3: had so many Polly Pockets. A lot of people have
- 14:49Speaker 3: called me Polly Pocket throughout my life, so I feel
- 14:50Speaker 3: like I'm even more attached to it because I'm tiny.
- 14:53Speaker 4: But also Bop It.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 14:54Speaker 5: Bop It's awesome.
- 14:55Speaker 3: I used to get into fist fights with my siblings
- 14:58Speaker 3: about Bop It because you just, ooh, if you don't
- 15:01Speaker 3: have enough time and you're, like, going up against somebody
- 15:03Speaker 3: and it's like, no.
- 15:04Speaker 4: You messed it up.
- 15:05Speaker 3: You pressed a button that you're not supposed to press
- 15:07Speaker 3: when you do, like, as a group.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Sure.
- 15:09Speaker 4: Ooh, so many arguments growing up.
- 15:11Speaker 7: I think that Bop It has to go because you
- 15:13Speaker 7: and I both are voting for it.
- 15:14Speaker 5: So Bop It wins.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Okay.
- 15:16Speaker 5: I want to Bop It, twist it, pull it. Bop
- 15:18Speaker 5: It is number one on my list.
- 15:19Speaker 7: And then number two is Pokemon for me.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Okay.
- 15:22Speaker 4: Also huge.
- 15:23Speaker 5: It was huge.
- 15:24Speaker 7: And also like when Pokemon Go came out, like it
- 15:26Speaker 7: just was a resurgence of it back into like a
- 15:29Speaker 7: cultural phenomenon.
- 15:30Speaker 4: Kids are still playing the game.
- 15:31Speaker 5: It's huge, right? Nothing has stood the test of time
- 15:33Speaker 5: like Pokemon.
- 15:34Speaker 1: This is a.
- 15:35Speaker 4: Tough list to choose from.
- 15:37Speaker 5: Bop It definitely has to win.
- 15:38Speaker 4: Okay.
- 15:39Speaker 3: Well, people are going to be voting on this. Kevin
- 15:41Speaker 3: wants to make an argument again.
- 15:43Speaker 5: Go ahead.
- 15:43Speaker 1: I know.
- 15:43Speaker 5: I've just been thinking a lot about this Elmo impression.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Okay.
- 15:46Speaker 3: Well, the public has until September 23rd to vote.
- 15:49Speaker 4: On these nominees.
- 15:52Speaker 3: And then three of them are going to be inducted
- 15:56Speaker 3: in November into the National Toy Hall of Fame. If
- 16:00Speaker 3: you've got something to say about one of these options, 615-737-9107.
- 16:06Speaker 3: Or if you want to compliment or make fun of
- 16:08Speaker 3: Kevin for that impression of.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Tickle Me Elmo.
- 16:11Speaker 5: I thought it was great.
- 16:11Speaker 3: We welcome that as well.
- 16:12Speaker 4: Especially the making fun of him.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 16:17Speaker 3: Greg and National is on the line. Welcome to 107.5
- 16:20Speaker 3: The River. Which toy do you think belongs in the
- 16:23Speaker 3: National Toy Hall of Fame?
- 16:24Speaker 4: We listed off a bunch of them. I know you
- 16:27Speaker 4: hit on one of them and you said, this is it.
- 16:28Speaker 4: Which one is it, Greg?
- 16:30Speaker 1: That would be the backyard homemade bow and arrow.
- 16:33Speaker 5: It's not on the list. We gave a whole list.
- 16:39Speaker 3: That's a weapon.
- 16:41Speaker 4: What do you mean?
- 16:42Speaker 5: A homemade bow and arrow? I'm actually terrified of you.
- 16:45Speaker 1: So, you know, you find a stick. You find some
- 16:48Speaker 1: rubber bands around the house.
- 16:49Speaker 6: And then you sharpen a stick with a, you know, with.
- 16:51Speaker 5: Your pocket knife that you're always outside with. And then
- 16:54Speaker 5: you go hunt squirrels. We definitely lived a different childhood.
- 16:57Speaker 5: I don't condone any of that.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:59Speaker 3: Also, we went from Kevin's pick, which is Tickle Me Elmo,
- 17:02Speaker 3: to the backyard homemade bow and arrow. Okay.
- 17:07Speaker 5: Greg, did you hear the list when we read the list?
- 17:09Speaker 5: We read it twice, actually. Well, I'm naughty and nice.
- 17:13Speaker 6: Doesn't Santa say check it twice?
- 17:14Speaker 4: Okay, Greg.
- 17:17Speaker 3: Well, I'm going to go ahead and say that that's
- 17:19Speaker 3: never going to end up in the National Toy Hall
- 17:21Speaker 3: of Fame. I'm slightly concerned about your childhood.
- 17:24Speaker 4: And how you grew up.
- 17:26Speaker 3: But thank you so much for calling, I think.
- 17:30Speaker 1: You got it.
- 17:31Speaker 7: Bye, Greg.
- 17:32Speaker 5: Have a good day.
- 17:32Speaker 4: Awesome.
- 17:34Speaker 5: Okay. Thank you for hanging up on him.
- 17:38Speaker 3: I'm still going to vote for Polly Pocket or Bop It, okay?
- 17:42Speaker 1: Okay.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Because I think out of this whole list, they are
- 17:44Speaker 2: inducting three of them, right?
- 17:45Speaker 1: Yes.
- 17:46Speaker 2: So let's say it's Polly Pocket. We'll give that to you.
- 17:48Speaker 5: Tickle Me Elmo. We got a lot of calls about that.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Oh, shoot.
- 17:51Speaker 5: I forgot about Pokemon. And Bop It. I think the
- 17:54Speaker 5: Bop It.
- 17:54Speaker 4: Both of us said Bop It. Zach and I both
- 17:56Speaker 4: said Bop It.
- 17:57Speaker 3: So those are the three from Ricky Zaccomano in the morning.
- 18:00Speaker 5: So Pokemon didn't make the cut?
- 18:01Speaker 4: Endorsing. Not this year. There's always next year.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Yeah, Bop It, I feel like, is older than Pokemon.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Maybe Kevin Mano's game of the day should be in there.
- 18:08Speaker 2: We're going to play that next for tickets to see Pentatonix.
- 18:12Speaker 2: If you want them, they're on the way.
- 18:13Speaker 3: This is getting crazier and crazier by the second.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 18:17Speaker 4: Pentatonix, they're going to be in town. In Bridgestone.
- 18:21Speaker 3: In Bridgestone. At Bridgestone.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Are you okay?
- 18:24Speaker 5: They'll be in Bridgestone.
- 18:25Speaker 3: I know, but my brain went both ways at the
- 18:28Speaker 3: same time.
- 18:29Speaker 5: They both worked, though.
- 18:29Speaker 4: December 9th, though. That's the point. They'll be here December 9th.
- 18:33Speaker 3: You can also be there to watch them uh use
- 18:37Speaker 3: their mouths the correct way and actually say words they
- 18:39Speaker 3: are an acapella group so we're playing name that tune
- 18:42Speaker 3: acapella edition for kevin mano's game of the day presented

- 19:26Speaker 2: If you know who that is, what song that is,
- 19:28Speaker 2: and you want to go see Pentatonix, call us, tell us.
- 19:31Speaker 2: It's game time, baby.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 19:35Speaker 3: On 107.5 The River. We are about to play Kevin
- 19:37Speaker 3: Mano's game of the day on 107.5 The River.

- 20:06Speaker 5: Yeah, good luck. That's very cool.
- 20:08Speaker 2: We're going to play the clue for you one more time,
- 20:10Speaker 2: the audio clue. It is just, you know, vocals only
- 20:13Speaker 2: version of a popular song. If you can tell us
- 20:15Speaker 2: who it is, what song it is, you're going to
- 20:17Speaker 2: see Pentatonix.

- 20:49Speaker 3: a few minutes, okay? We got to get your info.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Okay.
- 20:51Speaker 5: Well done. Well done. That was fun.
- 20:53Speaker 2: And it's exciting that we're already starting to talk about
- 20:56Speaker 2: holiday shows. You know, I know it's still hot outside,
- 20:58Speaker 2: but it's all right around the corner.
- 21:01Speaker 3: It doesn't feel like it.
- 21:02Speaker 1: No.
- 21:03Speaker 3: Three things you need to know.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Let's go just after 8 o'clock on this Friday morning.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Thank you so much for starting your day with us.
- 21:09Speaker 5: Ricky's got those three things presented by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 21:12Speaker 3: Jennifer Lopez has a concert movie coming out this Thanksgiving.
- 21:15Speaker 3: November 26th, CBS will show The J-Lo Show live in
- 21:19Speaker 3: Las Vegas. So this concert film was taped last year
- 21:22Speaker 3: during the final performance of J-Lo's sold-out residency at Caesars Palace.
- 21:26Speaker 4: She narrated a movie.
- 21:27Speaker 3: Trailer that she had said, quote, when I was little,
- 21:31Speaker 3: I used to sit in front of the television watching musicals.
- 21:34Speaker 3: That's where it all started for me. And years later,
- 21:36Speaker 3: my whole life became a show. The concert has been
- 21:39Speaker 3: described as her own version of the Heiress Tour, so
- 21:41Speaker 3: the Vegas show was separated into four acts representing the
- 21:44Speaker 3: stages of her three-decade-long music career.
- 21:47Speaker 4: I think it's going to be a pretty cool show
- 21:49Speaker 4: to watch.
- 21:49Speaker 3: She has a lot of music that you probably don't
- 21:52Speaker 3: even remember, goes back to J-Lo, where you're like, oh,
- 21:54Speaker 3: that is a bop.
- 21:55Speaker 4: So this will be fun to watch.
- 21:58Speaker 3: Local undergraduate students can go to the Frist Museum for free.
- 22:02Speaker 3: They have a new membership tier. It's Explorer Membership. So
- 22:05Speaker 3: this level gives eligible students who are in university or
- 22:10Speaker 3: college in Davidson, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson.
- 22:14Speaker 4: Orr-Wilson, and Cheatham Counties.
- 22:17Speaker 3: All of those areas, if you are attending college or
- 22:20Speaker 3: university in those areas, or if you happen to take
- 22:23Speaker 3: residency in those counties locally, but are enrolled elsewhere, you
- 22:26Speaker 3: can enroll yourself for this new Explorer membership level. Take
- 22:31Speaker 3: advantage of it because it is a great way to
- 22:33Speaker 3: see some awesome stuff at the Frist. If you haven't
- 22:36Speaker 3: been to the Frist, I highly recommend going to check
- 22:39Speaker 3: it out. It is always amazing. They do a great
- 22:41Speaker 3: job with all their exhibits and a way to get
- 22:44Speaker 3: in there for free is awesome. And this is really cool.
- 22:48Speaker 3: Dungeons and Dragons and other tabletop role-playing games significantly boost.
- 22:53Speaker 4: Players' mental well-being, self-esteem, and social confidence.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Oh, that's great.
- 22:58Speaker 3: All according to this new study. So researchers found that
- 23:00Speaker 3: players rated their D & D groups... amongst the most
- 23:04Speaker 3: positive and supportive networks in their lives. These gaming groups
- 23:08Speaker 3: were reported as being more positive, supportive, even more than
- 23:11Speaker 3: traditional groups of friends and family members. The study results
- 23:15Speaker 3: were obviously really encouraging because there's a lot of people
- 23:18Speaker 3: who are going through loneliness right now and are experiencing loneliness.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Something as simple as playing a game like this can
- 23:25Speaker 3: actually really help with those social connections and improve those
- 23:27Speaker 3: social connections. So Really cool to see that there is
- 23:30Speaker 3: such a positive impact from things like Dungeons & Dragons.
- 23:34Speaker 3: I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things.
- 23:36Speaker 4: You need to know.
- 23:37Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 23:39Speaker 3: I cannot wait to tell you my leftover this week.
- 23:42Speaker 3: It's 107.5 The River, Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 23:45Speaker 3: Every Friday, we do the leftovers. Each of us has
- 23:47Speaker 3: 30 seconds to tell you a topic or a news
- 23:50Speaker 3: story that just didn't make the cut this week on
- 23:52Speaker 3: the show.
- 23:53Speaker 4: So I will kick it off. Kevin, what do you
- 23:55Speaker 4: want to say?
- 23:55Speaker 2: No, I was going to say, yeah, go ahead, and
- 23:57Speaker 2: I'll start the stopwatch for you.
- 23:58Speaker 5: You start us off with your story.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Yesterday, I had to dress as an elf, and I
- 24:05Speaker 3: had a massive blow-up ornament, six feet tall, big blow-up ornament.
- 24:10Speaker 5: Three times the size of you.
- 24:12Speaker 3: I had to roll it up Broadway to Bridgestone Arena
- 24:16Speaker 3: yesterday for a social media video that we had posted.
- 24:20Speaker 3: If you want to see it, at 107.5 The River
- 24:23Speaker 3: on Instagram. It's all because we have a massive, massive
- 24:26Speaker 3: announcement Monday morning at 7 a.m., If you watch it,
- 24:30Speaker 3: you may have some, you know, hints, some clues as.
- 24:33Speaker 5: To what it might be.
- 24:34Speaker 4: Who knows? Maybe you'll have an idea. Maybe you won't.
- 24:36Speaker 3: Either way, you'll find out Monday morning at 7 a.m.
- 24:38Speaker 4: It was hot as heck, guys.
- 24:40Speaker 5: I'm not going to lie.
- 24:40Speaker 7: My favorite part of the video was whenever those people
- 24:43Speaker 7: stopped you in the middle of Broadway to take a
- 24:45Speaker 7: picture with the little elf.
- 24:46Speaker 4: They were so sweet.
- 24:48Speaker 3: The woman was like, hi, this is really weird probably,
- 24:51Speaker 3: but can I take a picture with you?
- 24:52Speaker 4: I love Christmas.
- 24:53Speaker 5: It was so cute.
- 24:53Speaker 4: And I was like, of course you can. No problem.
- 24:55Speaker 3: So she took a picture with me. Everybody wanted to
- 24:57Speaker 3: take pictures and videos of the massive ornament.
- 25:00Speaker 4: It's six feet tall. It's huge.
- 25:03Speaker 1: And it's.
- 25:03Speaker 3: Six feet tall but six feet wide as well.
- 25:05Speaker 5: That's why i said literally three times your size it's.
- 25:08Speaker 3: Massive also you wouldn't think it's that heavy it's very
- 25:11Speaker 3: heavy really very heavy to push that you don't have
- 25:14Speaker 3: to go to the gym a lot of work i
- 25:15Speaker 3: did not go to the gym yesterday because of it
- 25:17Speaker 3: that was my workout but thank.
- 25:18Speaker 2: You for getting out there thank you for getting out
- 25:19Speaker 2: there and doing that for the station of course uh
- 25:21Speaker 2: because yeah it was very hot wearing a hot.
- 25:23Speaker 3: Outfit i've never sweat more in my life.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Let me rephrase when i said the hot outfit It
- 25:28Speaker 2: was like, you know, a thick material is what I'm... Okay.
- 25:30Speaker 1: All right.
- 25:31Speaker 4: Someone's got to think of rails.
- 25:33Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 25:33Speaker 4: Who wants to go next? I'll go next.
- 25:36Speaker 1: Okay. Go ahead, Zach.
- 25:37Speaker 7: So Sherwin-Williams, the paint company, they have officially named the
- 25:40Speaker 7: color of the year for 2027. And it is celery.
- 25:45Speaker 7: The color of the year is celery. They're saying they
- 25:48Speaker 7: picked it because it reflects today's priorities of like wellness, balance,
- 25:52Speaker 7: and connection. And that it's a soft, fresh yellow green
- 25:55Speaker 7: with subtle warmth. they went on to say that it's
- 25:59Speaker 7: actually best in your bedroom, where it's a nature-inspired tone
- 26:03Speaker 7: can create a restorative atmosphere.
- 26:06Speaker 3: We can't really eat our fruits and veggies right now,
- 26:09Speaker 3: so I don't think that's going to be a great
- 26:11Speaker 3: pick there.
- 26:12Speaker 5: I'm not going to lie.
- 26:13Speaker 3: Celery color?
- 26:14Speaker 5: Looking at the little paint swatch, it kind of reminds
- 26:16Speaker 5: me of bile.
- 26:17Speaker 1: Oh, God.
- 26:18Speaker 5: It doesn't look great. Okay, that's gross. That is not
- 26:21Speaker 5: a great pick.
- 26:22Speaker 4: We vote against it.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:23Speaker 5: Kevin, what do you got? I just wanted to share
- 26:25Speaker 5: this news story, my favorite of the week.
- 26:27Speaker 2: 8,200 people in Michigan got their driver's licenses in the mail,
- 26:32Speaker 2: and they were all printed with the same man's face.
- 26:34Speaker 5: Just so.
- 26:37Speaker 5: Some random stranger, like a stock photo of a guy smiling.
- 26:40Speaker 3: Stop it!
- 26:41Speaker 2: It was, you know, men, women, old, young, everybody got
- 26:44Speaker 2: the same idea with the same guy on it.
- 26:46Speaker 5: Over 8,000 people.
- 26:47Speaker 4: That is amazing.
- 26:48Speaker 5: Honestly, iconic.
- 26:49Speaker 1: I know.
- 26:50Speaker 5: I would keep that forever.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Forever.
- 26:51Speaker 5: I would frame it. I feel like those should be
- 26:53Speaker 5: worth something. Those are like, those should go in a museum.
- 26:56Speaker 1: There you go.
