  Have you heard of the simplicity of eternal life? Did you know that you can

  be saved and spend eternity with God by just trusting in Jesus?

  That's it. You don't even have to go to church. You don't have to do a million other things.

  You don't have to go save someone from a burning building. You don't have to risk your life.

  You don't have to do all that. It's simply by trusting in Jesus.

  I know all those other things, those are great things you can do in your life.

  You can do good works, and that's gonna be treasures in heaven.

  But it's not to earn your salvation.

  I'm going to read this. This is from John chapter six, which Jesus himself said.

  That whoever believes in him has eternal life. I'm gonna start in chapter six, verse 42.

  They said, is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know?

  How does he now say, I have come down from heaven?
• 0:54
  Jesus answered them, do not grumble among yourselves.

  No one can come to me unless the father who sent me draws him and I will raise him up on the last day.

  It is written in the prophets and they will all be taught by God.

  Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me.

  Not that anyone has seen the Father except he who is from God. He has seen the Father.

  Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life.

  So all you have to do, trust in Jesus and you will be saved.

  You have eternal life. Jesus himself is eternal life.

  If you have a relationship with him, you are set.

  And I know that for most people that don't believe they don't this isn't going

  to sound like sound like I don't even know what it sounds like I can't remember

  what it was like before I became a Christian because a lot of times you're on
• 1:42
  the outside you're kind of just you're you're thinking about everything else

  God is not a priority you're not even thinking about that you're not necessarily.

  And but Jesus lays it out and the apostles that's what they preached trust in
• 1:56
  Jesus the the jailer who said to Paul, what must I do to inherit eternal life?

  What must I do to be saved?
• 2:04
  And he said, believe in Jesus, believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved. That's it.

  I know this sounds like just simple.

  What is like, because most people think I have to do all these things,

  you know, and a lot of times, like you just think heaven is just a fake thing.

  It's like it's just a fairy fairy tale.

  I remember growing up when I was a little kid and I thought,

  well, that'd be so cool to live forever.
• 2:28
  That'd be so cool to what like if there actually is a heaven.

  But there really is. And it's not like by doing an enormous amount,

  like, you know, you're going to show up in front of God and you're going to
• 2:38
  say, but God, I did this. I did that.
• 2:40
  You know, I went to church every Sunday. You know, I was on this committee.

  I, you know, I did so many baptisms or I, you know, I led so many people to
• 2:50
  Christ. I pointed so many people towards you.
• 2:52
  If those are your, if those are what your gut instinct, what you go towards,
• 2:56
  that's not it. It's by trusting in Jesus.
• 2:59
  All these other things are just that good things that you're doing for God.

  You know, it's not to earn your way, but it's by simply trusting in him.

  And that's how we're saved. That's the simplicity.

  I'm not going to get away from that. Trust in Jesus.

  That's it. All right, we'll leave it at that. I just wanted to talk about that
• 3:15
  because I know a lot of people can struggle with this.

  This could be an encouraging message for believers. If you're a believer,
• 3:21
  don't worry about your salvation. If you trust in Jesus, that's it.

  Examine your heart. Do I really believe in him? And that's it.
