- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome to Dirty Rush, The Truth about Sororiti Life with
- 0:04Speaker 1: your hosts me Gia Judice, Davey Kent and Jennifer Fessler.
- 0:11Speaker 2: This is Dirty Rush, and this is a special.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Episode that's producers only, so we're really taking you behind
- 0:20Speaker 3: the scenes, behind the scenes, behind the scenes where the
- 0:23Speaker 3: producers are coming on because people are about to go
- 0:27Speaker 3: through rush again. It seems like we just started the
- 0:30Speaker 3: whole rush process and now it's time.
- 0:32Speaker 2: For winter rush. Is that what you guys would call it? Winter?
- 0:36Speaker 3: Winter rush? Second semester rush, Spring rush is.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Coming, spring rush, spring rush.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Yeah, we had spring rush, but I think some people,
- 0:46Speaker 3: some schools do do it at the beginning of the
- 0:50Speaker 3: next quarter.
- 0:50Speaker 2: People are still getting cobs.
- 0:52Speaker 1: So what we wanted to.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Do is get all the producers on to talk about
- 0:56Speaker 2: the things.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Obviously, the producers of the show, we're all in the
- 0:59Speaker 3: Greek system, so we want to talk about things we
- 1:03Speaker 3: wish we.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Knew before Rush started. And we have one of our.
- 1:09Speaker 3: Other iHeart producers who actually was not in the Greek
- 1:12Speaker 3: system to ask the questions that she would want to
- 1:14Speaker 3: know before going through rush. So why don't we start
- 1:18Speaker 3: just one or two tidbits from everybody about something you
- 1:21Speaker 3: wish you knew before you went through Rush. So I
- 1:24Speaker 3: don't want to reveal any of our producers' names because
- 1:27Speaker 3: the thing about this show that's different from others is
- 1:30Speaker 3: that we do feel comfortable to really reveal things and
- 1:33Speaker 3: to be super honest because we don't always say who
- 1:36Speaker 3: we are. So why don't we just go around the
- 1:39Speaker 3: group and say a couple things that you wish you
- 1:42Speaker 3: knew before Rush started. I've been thinking about this a lot,
- 1:45Speaker 3: and for me, I actually think less is more. You
- 1:48Speaker 3: don't want to know too much, or I think you
- 1:50Speaker 3: would really get in your head about it. I think
- 1:53Speaker 3: the main thing that I would say is best advice
- 1:56Speaker 3: I could give. Know as many people as you can
- 1:59Speaker 3: that are in the Greek system, which is super hard
- 2:02Speaker 3: for people that are going to schools far away, random
- 2:04Speaker 3: schools or schools where they don't know anybody. But I
- 2:07Speaker 3: think your biggest advantage is having people that you know
- 2:11Speaker 3: that are in the sororities already. Two is my other advice,
- 2:17Speaker 3: and I know this sounds, I don't know, very trite
- 2:20Speaker 3: or very obvious. Be nice, Be nice, be nice to everybody.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Be nice, and even once you get into the sorority.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Be nice to everybody else. Talking to a friend last
- 2:31Speaker 3: night who many many years later, and we'll do this
- 2:34Speaker 3: on a different episode.
- 2:37Speaker 4: It's just be nice.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Be nice, even to the.
- 2:39Speaker 3: Mean girl, be nice to the scary senior, whatever it is.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Just be nice. So that's my best advice. And now
- 2:46Speaker 2: over to you guys.
- 2:48Speaker 5: Okay, Well, I rush a really long time ago, but
- 2:52Speaker 5: I would say not as.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Long as you wait. How many years ago? Twenty?
- 2:56Speaker 3: I'm thirty, I'm thirty years ago? Are you twenty?
- 3:00Speaker 6: I'm not quite twenty? Oh my gosh, how long ago
- 3:03Speaker 6: was it?
- 3:03Speaker 5: I can't even remember twenty two thousand and nine, whenever
- 3:06Speaker 5: that was.
- 3:08Speaker 7: We're coming up on twenty.
- 3:09Speaker 6: I guess No.
- 3:11Speaker 5: Some things I wish I would have known and done
- 3:15Speaker 5: before RUSH is one kind of research that houses and.
- 3:18Speaker 2: A little bit of their history and.
- 3:21Speaker 6: Also just kind of what to expect during Rush.
- 3:24Speaker 5: I went in very blind and was very overwhelmed by
- 3:31Speaker 5: so much of the chanting and singing and that sort
- 3:34Speaker 5: of thing.
- 3:35Speaker 3: Oh like it kind of like it kind of creeped
- 3:39Speaker 3: you out a little bit.
- 3:40Speaker 7: A little bit.
- 3:41Speaker 6: Yes, I very much so.
- 3:45Speaker 5: Was encouraged to rush for my sister, who was in
- 3:48Speaker 5: a sorority. However, I didn't know a lot of things
- 3:51Speaker 5: about sororities. It was kind of like, Okay, this is
- 3:54Speaker 5: a fun way to meet some friends, So if that's you,
- 3:57Speaker 5: I would just suggest maybe doing a little little research
- 4:02Speaker 5: into what to expect during rush and a little bit
- 4:06Speaker 5: about the houses.
- 4:07Speaker 6: The other thing I wish.
- 4:10Speaker 5: I did differently during Rush was I did not base
- 4:13Speaker 5: the house off one single person I talked to later
- 4:17Speaker 5: on after I joined my house.
- 4:18Speaker 6: I'm very happy with the house I joined.
- 4:20Speaker 5: However, so many of my friends ended up being in
- 4:22Speaker 5: the first house I dropped, and it was because I
- 4:24Speaker 5: was so overwhelmed by the personality of the first person
- 4:27Speaker 5: I spoke.
- 4:30Speaker 6: She was just very not me.
- 4:32Speaker 5: She was like a very high pitched voice, very energetic,
- 4:37Speaker 5: and a lot of the girls are right, this is
- 4:39Speaker 5: Rush weeks, so that happens a lot, but this girl
- 4:42Speaker 5: just completely turned me off, and I dropped the house
- 4:46Speaker 5: first day, and then later on in the to the semester,
- 4:50Speaker 5: most of my friends ended up being from that.
- 4:52Speaker 6: House, which is oh wow. So I would just say,
- 4:54Speaker 6: don't judge off the first person.
- 4:56Speaker 3: I thought of a good analogy when you were talking
- 4:59Speaker 3: about how overwhelming it is the best example I can
- 5:03Speaker 3: give is you're in a restaurant and it's when everyone
- 5:08Speaker 3: comes out with the cake and sings happy birthday to you.
- 5:12Speaker 3: That is sort of the feeling of a lot of
- 5:14Speaker 3: rush where you're like, oh my god, I have to
- 5:17Speaker 3: just smile here they're like singing at me, or they're
- 5:20Speaker 3: you know, so excited and you're like ugh. So you
- 5:24Speaker 3: kind of do have to prepare yourself for sort of
- 5:26Speaker 3: like a lot of a happy birthday song moment.
- 5:29Speaker 7: Sorry, can I jump in here, the resident non sorority person.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll call you. We'll call you, Professor H.
- 5:36Speaker 7: Professor H. I have a question about singing. So you
- 5:42Speaker 7: said that there's a lot of songs. You guys, once
- 5:45Speaker 7: you get in dy'll sit around and have music practice.
- 5:48Speaker 7: Do you get the song sent to? How do you
- 5:51Speaker 7: learn the songs once you join?
- 5:53Speaker 5: There is like a whole rush prep going into it
- 5:58Speaker 5: when you are in the house that you will learn
- 5:59Speaker 5: those songs. You will clap at the right time you
- 6:02Speaker 5: need to clap.
- 6:03Speaker 6: You will. It's a it's a process. It's like a
- 6:07Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Oh, you guys should do a whole episode.
- 6:11Speaker 3: We should do a whole episode just on the songs
- 6:13Speaker 3: because so Hannah and I were in the same sorority
- 6:16Speaker 3: at different schools, so we also have the same songs.
- 6:19Speaker 2: So I don't know if that trips out, Professor h Well, I.
- 6:23Speaker 7: Kind of figured that every house probably has their own songs.
- 6:26Speaker 7: But I also want to know, like how secretive are
- 6:29Speaker 7: these songs? Are we talking? It's like those secret handshakes
- 6:31Speaker 7: you guys talk about, where like other people can't hear
- 6:34Speaker 7: you practicing the lyrics to these songs. I guess my
- 6:37Speaker 7: other thing is I went to cheer tryouts right in
- 6:40Speaker 7: high school. I'm assuming this is maybe a little bit
- 6:42Speaker 7: kind of similar where I had to go through a
- 6:45Speaker 7: process for ten days and I had to learn cheers
- 6:48Speaker 7: and I had to learn dance routines. But then I
- 6:50Speaker 7: had to audition with those Yeah, at a point where
- 6:53Speaker 7: you have to sing for somebody to show and prove
- 6:56Speaker 7: that you know these no, not really okay shaking their
- 7:00Speaker 7: head no.
- 7:01Speaker 1: To that question.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Yeah. Only I think if you want to be like
- 7:04Speaker 2: a if you want to be like.
- 7:05Speaker 3: A soloist like I was Barry Manilow on the Kappa
- 7:09Speaker 3: Cabana Day, and so I think I had to it.
- 7:14Speaker 7: Well, this isn't like American idol or something like an audition.
- 7:18Speaker 2: So I had to sing.
- 7:20Speaker 3: We had a copa cabana version, but it was called
- 7:22Speaker 3: Kappa Kappa Gamma, and so I had to sing. So
- 7:27Speaker 3: I think somebody must have wanted to make sure I
- 7:29Speaker 3: could sing. This sounds like a nightmare. Sorry, really embarrassing.
- 7:32Speaker 3: I'm not like Ariana Grande or anything. I think you
- 7:35Speaker 3: can you can get by with just like a mediocre voice,
- 7:38Speaker 3: even to do a solo. But like anyway, I want
- 7:41Speaker 3: to go to everybody else for the things that they
- 7:44Speaker 3: wish they knew. But the singing is a whole episode.
- 7:47Speaker 3: Please make note we should do a whole episode because
- 7:50Speaker 3: there's songs you have to sing on meeting night to
- 7:53Speaker 3: like get in the door. But anyway, we'll talk about
- 7:56Speaker 3: that later.
- 7:56Speaker 8: So I would say one thing that I wouldn't necess
- 8:00Speaker 8: sssarily recommend doing is you know, you go into college.
- 8:04Speaker 8: I had a lot of my high school friends that
- 8:05Speaker 8: went to the same college as me, and we rushed
- 8:08Speaker 8: all at the same time, and I feel like we
- 8:11Speaker 8: kind of influenced each other, like ooh, I really like
- 8:14Speaker 8: that house, and I like that house, but I don't
- 8:16Speaker 8: like this one as much. And I feel like you
- 8:18Speaker 8: really need to be like individual in the sense where
- 8:22Speaker 8: it's like, Okay, my friend might not like that house,
- 8:24Speaker 8: but we don't have to be in the same house.
- 8:26Speaker 8: Like we can still be friends and be in separate sororities.
- 8:29Speaker 8: So it's easy to kind of get caught up and like, ooh,
- 8:34Speaker 8: this is what my friend likes, and so on and
- 8:37Speaker 8: so forth.
- 8:37Speaker 3: I have a weird question on that, like to pretend
- 8:41Speaker 3: it was like percentages or like you know, a pie,
- 8:44Speaker 3: how many of your friends were in your sorority versus
- 8:47Speaker 3: other sororities. I think I'm like seventy five percent in mine,
- 8:52Speaker 3: twenty five percent others, But you guys weigh in.
- 8:55Speaker 1: I would say the same.
- 8:57Speaker 8: I would honestly even say my school was a little
- 8:59Speaker 8: bit smaller, so we had like I want to say,
- 9:01Speaker 8: maybe like four five sororities to choose from, So I'd say, yeah,
- 9:06Speaker 8: mine was like eighty twenty and it ended up working out,
- 9:11Speaker 8: like totally don't regret it at all, But I wonder
- 9:15Speaker 8: if my friends and I stayed a little separate, if
- 9:17Speaker 8: we maybe would have chosen like different houses from each other.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Wow, oh interesting, Yeah, so you kind of ended up
- 9:25Speaker 3: going to the same house because you did influence each other.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Oh yeah, totally.
- 9:29Speaker 8: And I feel like too, like I rushed probably like
- 9:33Speaker 8: I think nine years ago, eight or nine years ago,
- 9:37Speaker 8: so I like I remember we would like stalk their
- 9:41Speaker 8: instagrams and be like, ooh, like this house looks so
- 9:44Speaker 8: cool and the girls look so fun and like blah
- 9:47Speaker 8: blah blah. So we definitely did a lot of Instagram
- 9:50Speaker 8: research beforehand that I think also, like going into it,
- 9:55Speaker 8: we kind of knew which houses we thought were cool.
- 9:59Speaker 4: And that's why.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I think kind of along the same lines of cutting
- 10:17Speaker 1: out the noise beforehand, whether it's your friends, whether it's
- 10:22Speaker 1: social media, it is such an individual experience, and I
- 10:25Speaker 1: think it's really important to just make sure that a
- 10:29Speaker 1: you're listening to your intuition versus other people's opinions, or
- 10:33Speaker 1: what house is a top house and what house is
- 10:36Speaker 1: not considered as quote unquote cool, and kind of tuning
- 10:40Speaker 1: out a lot of that noise because it can impact
- 10:44Speaker 1: your decision so much what you think others will think
- 10:49Speaker 1: is cool, but really it's all about you and ending
- 10:52Speaker 1: up in the place that's the most aligned. And I
- 10:54Speaker 1: also think that just like going in as your most
- 10:56Speaker 1: authentic self is always, at the end of the day,
- 10:59Speaker 1: going to be the most important thing to do, and
- 11:01Speaker 1: it's easy to lose sight of that when there's so
- 11:03Speaker 1: much comparison going on, or other people in your ear
- 11:07Speaker 1: telling you what where they think you would fit in
- 11:10Speaker 1: or where they're going and why they're doing what they're doing.
- 11:13Speaker 1: So I think that really just tuning into yourself is
- 11:16Speaker 1: going to be the most important thing to do. Because
- 11:19Speaker 1: I rushed twice. The first time I rushed, it did
- 11:22Speaker 1: not go very well, and when I look back on
- 11:25Speaker 1: that time, it was there were a lot of components
- 11:29Speaker 1: that went into it, but I think a huge part
- 11:30Speaker 1: of it is I felt like I had to be
- 11:33Speaker 1: acting a certain way or hitting certain marks in my conversation,
- 11:37Speaker 1: and I was just trying to control the narrative too
- 11:39Speaker 1: much rather than letting the process happen. And when I
- 11:42Speaker 1: went into rush the second time, it went very well
- 11:45Speaker 1: for me, and I ended up in the house that
- 11:47Speaker 1: was most aligned for me because I was just simply
- 11:50Speaker 1: being myself. So I think kind of getting out of
- 11:52Speaker 1: your head in any preconceived notions, like leaving them at
- 11:56Speaker 1: the door, is really important.
- 11:58Speaker 7: That was kind of one of my questions. I wanted
- 12:00Speaker 7: to ask about the ability to rush twice. So you're
- 12:04Speaker 7: saying you can do that. Are there any parameters that
- 12:07Speaker 7: are put on the second time, Like you can't go
- 12:10Speaker 7: back to certain houses in rush again, Like what happens
- 12:13Speaker 7: when you go up that can.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Tame pledge a house? Tell me my good, that's right.
- 12:18Speaker 3: If you pledge a house and you sign the card
- 12:22Speaker 3: and then you decide you don't like it, I think
- 12:24Speaker 3: you can't rush again for a year or something like that.
- 12:28Speaker 3: If you get initiated, you can never rush a different house.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Yeah, that's correct. So if I were to have taken
- 12:35Speaker 1: a bid from a house, but it gets a few
- 12:37Speaker 1: it takes a few months to get initiated, and I
- 12:40Speaker 1: took that bid, and then I was like, uh, never mind.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Then I could go through rush again, but I couldn't
- 12:45Speaker 1: take a bid from that house again.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Is that true?
- 12:48Speaker 3: You can't take a bid from the same house twice.
- 12:50Speaker 3: I think I didn't know that.
- 12:51Speaker 1: I don't think you can correct me if I'm wrong
- 12:53Speaker 1: to anybody else, But at least.
- 12:55Speaker 7: I think that was allowed.
- 12:57Speaker 3: I think if you go through rush, you get a
- 13:01Speaker 3: bid and you decide to drop out or not accept
- 13:05Speaker 3: the bid, I think you can't go through RUSH for
- 13:07Speaker 3: a year, like you couldn't get a COB from another house.
- 13:11Speaker 2: But now I'm I'm questioning myself. But yeah, I think if.
- 13:14Speaker 3: You go to preference, you fill it out, you're agreeing
- 13:18Speaker 3: that either of those houses or three whatever your school does,
- 13:21Speaker 3: gives you a bid, that you're going to take it.
- 13:22Speaker 7: I think, now, are there exceptions if like a family
- 13:26Speaker 7: emergency happens which causes you to drop out of school
- 13:30Speaker 7: and then you come back, do you get any sort
- 13:32Speaker 7: of leniency?
- 13:33Speaker 3: I think if you were a pledge, say DG gives
- 13:37Speaker 3: you a bid and then there was some sort of
- 13:39Speaker 3: an emergency, you can just come back to DG.
- 13:42Speaker 2: You couldn't just go RUSH again. You would just be
- 13:44Speaker 2: a DG. DG would work it out with you.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's right, because you've already accepted the
- 13:49Speaker 1: bid to that house, so you ideally would have the
- 13:53Speaker 1: intention of going through initiation with them. So I think
- 13:56Speaker 1: you just work it out with them to where you
- 13:57Speaker 1: could be initiated later or something.
- 13:59Speaker 3: Yeah, you just say, yeah, I don't really know anybody
- 14:02Speaker 3: that like accepted a bid, dropped out and then went
- 14:06Speaker 3: through RUSS again.
- 14:07Speaker 2: That feels kind of random. I don't know if people
- 14:09Speaker 2: did that.
- 14:11Speaker 1: I know a few people who did that because they
- 14:13Speaker 1: put two people down for pref and then they got
- 14:16Speaker 1: the house that they didn't want it and they said,
- 14:19Speaker 1: let me try it out, and then after a month
- 14:21Speaker 1: initiation was coming up, they were like, I don't think
- 14:24Speaker 1: this is a line. So they chose to leave that
- 14:27Speaker 1: house and then rush again the following year.
- 14:30Speaker 3: So kind of I'm just gonna say, and maybe this is.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Something that you would want to know before.
- 14:36Speaker 3: I think that's also whoey, Like every house, for the
- 14:40Speaker 3: most part, is going to have people that you're going
- 14:45Speaker 3: to get along with. You're not going to be best
- 14:47Speaker 3: friends with everybody, So I don't know. I always think
- 14:49Speaker 3: people that think they know or they're like I wanted
- 14:53Speaker 3: a top tier, it's like, I don't even know if
- 14:56Speaker 3: you really is.
- 14:57Speaker 7: This brings me to my next question. When you're talking
- 14:59Speaker 7: about a line with a house, I mean, I don't
- 15:02Speaker 7: assume that you're sitting around and you know, talking about
- 15:06Speaker 7: like I don't know, family backgrounds or religion or something, right,
- 15:11Speaker 7: talking about girls' personalities and like how much they party
- 15:16Speaker 7: versus how much they emphasize on education or am I
- 15:20Speaker 7: being totally off the bat.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Oh you got it, you got it. I think the
- 15:25Speaker 2: other girls can weigh in, but I think you got it.
- 15:28Speaker 5: I will say, going to a university where there is
- 15:31Speaker 5: a strong religious I would say, it's just a strong
- 15:36Speaker 5: religious area. I did not This was not talked about
- 15:41Speaker 5: during Rush. However, things after Rush became very apparent in
- 15:45Speaker 5: a specific house of girls that did not party and
- 15:48Speaker 5: were from the same religious background than other houses, and
- 15:52Speaker 5: they did not make it aware during Rush.
- 15:56Speaker 7: Well, maybe something that those girls wish they'd asked prior
- 15:59Speaker 7: about religion r I well, should be asking about religion
- 16:03Speaker 7: when they're rushing. I think probably.
- 16:06Speaker 6: Depends on the school for sure.
- 16:08Speaker 5: But being at one of those schools, my sister, who
- 16:12Speaker 5: had been through the same sorority system and at that
- 16:16Speaker 5: school before, wouldn't tell me which house it was, as
- 16:19Speaker 5: she wanted me to make up my own choices, and
- 16:23Speaker 5: me coming from not a Mormon background and kind of
- 16:28Speaker 5: really being a partier in college, I guessed wrong.
- 16:32Speaker 6: It was one of my top houses. It was my
- 16:35Speaker 6: one of my prep houses.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Interesting, Yeah, and they really don't want you.
- 16:40Speaker 3: I mean I think they frown upon talking about politics
- 16:42Speaker 3: or religion during rush. So It's a little bit of
- 16:45Speaker 3: a confusing situation because you're not supposed to talk about
- 16:49Speaker 3: those things. But then what if that's like a major
- 16:51Speaker 3: part of the house, And then you're like, wait, whoops.
- 16:54Speaker 5: Well right exactly, Like if I would have actually gotten it,
- 16:56Speaker 5: I probably would have had to drop and it wouldn't
- 16:59Speaker 5: have aligned necessarily with what I was looking for my
- 17:04Speaker 5: college career.
- 17:06Speaker 3: I guess you're not supposed to like also say, like, so,
- 17:09Speaker 3: what fraternities do you guys hang out with?
- 17:12Speaker 5: Right?
- 17:13Speaker 2: But you want to.
- 17:16Speaker 7: So, how are you sussing this out just based on
- 17:19Speaker 7: like small talk?
- 17:21Speaker 3: Well, yeah, but I knew That's the thing that's so
- 17:26Speaker 3: different for some people's experiences versus others because I knew
- 17:31Speaker 3: what houses, what fraternities this house.
- 17:34Speaker 2: Hung out with. I knew the girls in the house,
- 17:37Speaker 2: so I knew a lot. That's why it's harder for
- 17:40Speaker 2: me to be like, what did I need to know?
- 17:42Speaker 2: Like I already knew it.
- 17:44Speaker 5: That's why my advice is to, like, before you go
- 17:47Speaker 5: into it, do your research. I mean, there's so much
- 17:50Speaker 5: even now that's on social media and TikTok and Instagram
- 17:54Speaker 5: that I feel like you can find those answers easier.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Now totally, Like I.
- 17:59Speaker 5: Was a view beginning of social media, and so that
- 18:02Speaker 5: didn't really exist out there unless you knew people in
- 18:05Speaker 5: the system.
- 18:06Speaker 3: Yeah, and we didn't even have cell phones, Like, we
- 18:08Speaker 3: didn't even have cell phones, so there was no email
- 18:11Speaker 3: when I went through Rush, So everything was sort of
- 18:13Speaker 3: like word of mouth, like you knew it because you
- 18:17Speaker 3: knew it, Like I don't know how to explain it.
- 18:19Speaker 3: And I think about this all the time, because we
- 18:22Speaker 3: also knew where to go at night to meet up
- 18:25Speaker 3: with the same friends we had, And I don't know
- 18:27Speaker 3: how we knew, but we just knew. So I think
- 18:30Speaker 3: that that's the interesting thing is it's just sort of
- 18:33Speaker 3: word of mouth vibe.
- 18:35Speaker 2: If one person knows, twenty people know, I don't know.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Also, for me, it was a lot about the types
- 18:41Speaker 1: of conversations I was having because there were some girls
- 18:44Speaker 1: where I felt like it kind of is like that
- 18:47Speaker 1: vibe of oh, you just click immediately and you're able
- 18:49Speaker 1: to have a less surface level conversation, whereas some houses
- 18:53Speaker 1: I went in and I just felt like everybody was
- 18:55Speaker 1: really skimming the surface. And so what I really look
- 18:58Speaker 1: for is like people who asked great questions and seem
- 19:01Speaker 1: genuinely interested, because I mean, it's hard to do when
- 19:04Speaker 1: you're recruiting people to be on all the time, and
- 19:07Speaker 1: like you could tell what houses. I feel like we're
- 19:11Speaker 1: more intentional in picking their girls by like the caliber
- 19:15Speaker 1: of questions that they asked, I guess, and I liked
- 19:17Speaker 1: getting in those deeper conversations with people, so I was like,
- 19:20Speaker 1: this is what makes me feel at home and what
- 19:22Speaker 1: drew me to the sorority that I ended up.
- 19:24Speaker 3: Well, that's kind of an interesting thing because my niece
- 19:27Speaker 3: who's in a sorority, her best friend in the sorty
- 19:30Speaker 3: is like the greatest, cutest, most fun girl you could
- 19:34Speaker 3: ever imagine, but she sort of has This is what
- 19:37Speaker 3: I've heard from my niece, so I'd have to ask her.
- 19:39Speaker 3: But she gets a little bit socially anxious. So even
- 19:42Speaker 3: though she is probably one.
- 19:44Speaker 2: Of the coolest girls in the whole house.
- 19:45Speaker 3: She can't be in the front at rush because she
- 19:48Speaker 3: gets too anxious and can't like talk to the new
- 19:51Speaker 3: people coming in. So it's kind of your personality also
- 19:55Speaker 3: determines like if you're going to be good at we
- 20:00Speaker 3: called them, like, you know, being the rusher to the rushies.
- 20:04Speaker 2: I think you guys call it, like, what do you
- 20:06Speaker 2: guys call it?
- 20:07Speaker 1: We called it the same thing.
- 20:08Speaker 4: Yeah, I think so too.
- 20:10Speaker 3: The person trying to recruit or whatever, we just call
- 20:12Speaker 3: it the rusher and the rush sheet. You guys call
- 20:14Speaker 3: it like new members or potential new members.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Oh, the person is a P and M of potential.
- 20:21Speaker 8: Yeah, now that's so true though with the personality thing,
- 20:24Speaker 8: like you guys know me, I'm very.
- 20:25Speaker 1: Like hi, and so I feel like they put.
- 20:30Speaker 8: Me with people they were like, ooh, we like we
- 20:33Speaker 8: want this girl, and we like, you know, someone with
- 20:37Speaker 8: a big personality to kind of like crack their shell
- 20:40Speaker 8: and make sure like, okay, this is someone that could
- 20:42Speaker 8: be in the storty. Yeah, the softer spoken people, it
- 20:45Speaker 8: was totally like a different vibe and whoever they were
- 20:49Speaker 8: talking to, I'm sure it was like just a different
- 20:52Speaker 8: experience overall.
- 20:53Speaker 3: So the hardest part is if you have just two
- 20:56Speaker 3: very very quiet people sort of introverted, because then two
- 21:01Speaker 3: introverted people are sort of sitting there feeling awkward, whereas
- 21:05Speaker 3: being introverted it's totally fine, but it's just you don't
- 21:08Speaker 3: want to make it awkward. So it's almost like you
- 21:10Speaker 3: kind of need a strong person to ask the introverted
- 21:14Speaker 3: people just some questions.
- 21:16Speaker 8: Yeah, that's so true because if yeah, I've heard kind
- 21:20Speaker 8: of horror stories of two people that just don't really
- 21:23Speaker 8: know what to say, and then it's awkward silence and
- 21:26Speaker 8: it's kind of like so like tell me about your family,
- 21:30Speaker 8: Like it's like it gets weird. So yeah, that's a
- 21:34Speaker 8: huge part of it for sure.
- 21:49Speaker 7: So one thing I'm fascinated by, obviously that is taking
- 21:52Speaker 7: off on TikTok when it comes to rush, is these
- 21:57Speaker 7: over the top elaborate dancing. Oh yeah, means that people
- 22:01Speaker 7: are doing with their houses. So one I want to know, like,
- 22:06Speaker 7: when you're rushing, are they asking you if you can dance?
- 22:09Speaker 7: If you like have rhythm when you get in?
- 22:14Speaker 1: Do you have to go to dance practice?
- 22:16Speaker 7: Like how many days a week? Like how many girls
- 22:19Speaker 7: have to be apport of this? What if you start
- 22:21Speaker 7: doing the stunts and somebody falls and gets injured? I
- 22:23Speaker 7: don't know, it just seems like a lot, Like so
- 22:26Speaker 7: tell me about the dance aspect and if you're asking
- 22:30Speaker 7: questions about the dancing.
- 22:31Speaker 1: During rush, I think for us it was more so
- 22:36Speaker 1: some people are just like that and they want to
- 22:38Speaker 1: do it. Some people, there's always a social media manager
- 22:42Speaker 1: or whatever who's in charge of putting.
- 22:44Speaker 7: The I'm sorry, there's a social media manager for that.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Like a position within the house.
- 22:50Speaker 7: A position within the house isn't like a hired person
- 22:54Speaker 7: that does this profession.
- 22:55Speaker 1: It's one of the girls in the house, and they'll
- 22:58Speaker 1: get elected to be in charge of the Instagram and
- 23:00Speaker 1: the TikTok or whatever. So there are always the people
- 23:02Speaker 1: who are kind of curating however that's going to look
- 23:05Speaker 1: and executing their vision throughout rush. So a lot of
- 23:07Speaker 1: times they'll pull random people for pictures and stuff. But
- 23:10Speaker 1: for videos like that, I feel like there was always
- 23:12Speaker 1: girls who did cheer in high school or girls who
- 23:15Speaker 1: were on the dance team at college that would just
- 23:17Speaker 1: kind of all into or automatically and were into that
- 23:19Speaker 1: sort of thing. So they wanted to be at the front.
- 23:21Speaker 1: They wanted to be getting a group together and practicing
- 23:24Speaker 1: the dances, and so at least in our case, there
- 23:27Speaker 1: were always people who wanted to do it, So it
- 23:29Speaker 1: wasn't like we were pulling teeth and having dance practice.
- 23:33Speaker 1: It just kind of happened more naturally same we didn't.
- 23:37Speaker 8: TikTok wasn't a thing yet, So it was all Instagram
- 23:41Speaker 8: when I was doing it, and it was definitely like
- 23:43Speaker 8: the cheerleaders or you know, girls like that or girls
- 23:46Speaker 8: that wanted to dance that would be doing their thing.
- 23:51Speaker 8: Definitely not like a requirement though, And yeah, no practices
- 23:56Speaker 8: for us either.
- 23:57Speaker 3: So in the nineties we didn't do this big dancing things.
- 24:01Speaker 3: We had something called porch songs. So what would happen is,
- 24:04Speaker 3: forget if it was every.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Day or part of rush.
- 24:08Speaker 3: The rushies would come up and the girls would come
- 24:13Speaker 3: out sort of onto the porch and sing the song.
- 24:17Speaker 3: So there might be like rhythmic clapping or sort of
- 24:20Speaker 3: like slight dance moves, but nothing like you see now,
- 24:24Speaker 3: more like.
- 24:25Speaker 2: Hands up, hands down, hands up, hands down, Kappa Kapa
- 24:28Speaker 2: like that.
- 24:29Speaker 3: But then they the university, I think thought decided that
- 24:32Speaker 3: that was a bit disruptive. All the singing all the time,
- 24:35Speaker 3: and you would have sort of sing offs kind of
- 24:38Speaker 3: pitch perfect style.
- 24:39Speaker 7: I was just gonna say, like pitch perfect.
- 24:41Speaker 3: Yeah, like across the streets. So you'd be like, Kapa,
- 24:45Speaker 3: we are Kappa, and they'd be like we are pi
- 24:47Speaker 3: Fi pie Fi pi Fy, and then you kind of
- 24:48Speaker 3: like have them at each other, and then I think
- 24:51Speaker 3: that they took it away because it was like disruptive
- 24:53Speaker 3: to the neighborhood sort of a vibe. So then you
- 24:57Speaker 3: couldn't sing until everybody was in the house and the
- 25:00Speaker 3: door completely closed.
- 25:02Speaker 2: Then you were allowed to sing. But we didn't have
- 25:05Speaker 2: these like dance routines.
- 25:06Speaker 3: The only thing we did have is this elaborate skit day.
- 25:10Speaker 3: So there was this skit Day and like the entire
- 25:13Speaker 3: house was transformed into like a Broadway show basically with
- 25:18Speaker 3: you know, the walls and the this and the that
- 25:21Speaker 3: and all these things.
- 25:22Speaker 2: And that was the Barry Manilow Day. So that was
- 25:25Speaker 2: when we.
- 25:25Speaker 3: Had like a full production, a full skit, and like
- 25:29Speaker 3: people sat kind of like an audience, they would be
- 25:32Speaker 3: watching this sort of show.
- 25:34Speaker 2: I thought it was amazing when I went through.
- 25:36Speaker 3: RASH, I was like, this is the most awesome thing
- 25:38Speaker 3: I've ever seen, because I just felt like I went
- 25:40Speaker 3: to like show after show after show.
- 25:43Speaker 7: I think my mind is so blown. I didn't realize
- 25:46Speaker 7: how much theatrics went in being in a sorority. I'm
- 25:50Speaker 7: wondering why you guys don't target theater meters.
- 25:54Speaker 2: I feel like they don't want to be in a sorority, but.
- 25:57Speaker 7: Maybe they don't know that there is so much singing
- 26:00Speaker 7: and acting and dancing they're missing out on this.
- 26:03Speaker 5: Possibly, I do feel like theater kids like tend to
- 26:06Speaker 5: end up having like their own you know, like group
- 26:10Speaker 5: I guess sorority fraternity together as like there.
- 26:12Speaker 6: Yeah, but it's true. I do think.
- 26:15Speaker 5: I don't know why I can't fully remember the skit dape,
- 26:18Speaker 5: but mine was very similar to to hers that it
- 26:22Speaker 5: we we didn't have the group dances, but also like
- 26:26Speaker 5: and honestly, the social media manager, that's a new role
- 26:29Speaker 5: that did nicest either for us.
- 26:32Speaker 3: Yeah, we we obviously didn't have that either, like, but
- 26:35Speaker 3: it was pretty elaborate, Like we turned the phone booth,
- 26:37Speaker 3: yes we had a phone with into what looked like
- 26:40Speaker 3: an aquarium, and then there was a girl who was
- 26:42Speaker 3: like a full mermaid in the phone booth, making it
- 26:46Speaker 3: look like she was swimming. And then there was like
- 26:48Speaker 3: all this singing and dancing, and then we did have
- 26:51Speaker 3: do you know that song word up by Cameo?
- 26:53Speaker 2: Do you guys remember that word up? Mm hmmm, oh,
- 26:58Speaker 2: ladies around the world. But we did do this thing.
- 27:02Speaker 3: Oh, I'm totally telling a secret now where every pledge
- 27:06Speaker 3: class made up an eight count, and then each year
- 27:10Speaker 3: the dance would get longer and longer because the eight
- 27:12Speaker 3: count would just go on and on and on and on.
- 27:14Speaker 3: I have no memory of too much of the dance.
- 27:17Speaker 3: I just know that it was word up by cameo.
- 27:20Speaker 3: But that was kind of cool. So there definitely was
- 27:23Speaker 3: like dancing.
- 27:24Speaker 5: There's dancing, and then those girls that like myself, who
- 27:28Speaker 5: are not great dancers, we just got put from the back.
- 27:32Speaker 5: It's like you've got alumni there that's like choreographing things,
- 27:35Speaker 5: and they're like you like kinda take the back, you know.
- 27:38Speaker 5: So the ones who are meant to shine are in
- 27:41Speaker 5: the front with the good voices and the good dance moves.
- 27:45Speaker 7: She was talking about some like riff off sing off
- 27:48Speaker 7: thing that was happening back in her day. Are they
- 27:51Speaker 7: doing dance offs now? With these elaborate dancing.
- 27:55Speaker 1: Things that they're doing. I kind of feel like social
- 27:57Speaker 1: media though in a way, during Rush is like one
- 28:01Speaker 1: big dance off. It's very competitive.
- 28:03Speaker 7: That's what it looks like as an outsider for sure.
- 28:07Speaker 1: For some reason that has just become what signifies the
- 28:10Speaker 1: coolest house is if you can make a cool TikTok.
- 28:13Speaker 1: I don't know, but it feels like one big dance off.
- 28:17Speaker 1: It feels very competitive to have the best choreographed thing.
- 28:22Speaker 1: But it's weird because that's not in person, it's just online.
- 28:25Speaker 7: Okay, So that answers my question. Then when sororities pass
- 28:29Speaker 7: each other in the streets, they're not having a dance off. Okay, yeah,
- 28:33Speaker 7: good to know.
- 28:34Speaker 2: Do they can do those dances?
- 28:35Speaker 3: Do the sororities do those dances at all during rush
- 28:38Speaker 3: or is it just like on Instagram and TikTok It's
- 28:42Speaker 3: not like actually even a part of rush, not really.
- 28:44Speaker 1: I think it's TikTok. And then when you're doing the
- 28:48Speaker 1: songs out the door and coppying and bouncing and whatever,
- 28:50Speaker 1: but it's not a real dance. I don't think they're
- 28:53Speaker 1: performing dancing. So they don't ever.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Do that whole like dance shenanigans during rush.
- 28:59Speaker 7: And they don't reform these dances for frat houses. No, no, no,
- 29:06Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 29:07Speaker 1: I'm asking there was only there was a little singing.
- 29:10Speaker 3: That could happen like during a pinning or something, but
- 29:14Speaker 3: like otherwise, you don't really do any of that for
- 29:16Speaker 3: the fraternities.
- 29:18Speaker 1: We had one thing at our school. It was a
- 29:20Speaker 1: big fraternity event and it's like a big dance off
- 29:25Speaker 1: and every solreaty has a portion of their girls choreograph
- 29:28Speaker 1: this dance for weeks and then they go into the
- 29:31Speaker 1: main courtyard area on campus and everybody performs in it's
- 29:35Speaker 1: a competition for like a frat event, it's a fundraising thing,
- 29:39Speaker 1: but other than that, there's no performances to the frat boys.
- 29:43Speaker 7: I think anybody who wants to rush needs to get
- 29:46Speaker 7: a pair of tap shoes or something before they go
- 29:49Speaker 7: out and start stomping. They need to learn how to
- 29:51Speaker 7: do a little bit of rhythm. It sounds like it
- 29:54Speaker 7: list an item.
- 29:54Speaker 6: Zero rhythm and I survived it. They'll be okay, They'll
- 29:57Speaker 6: be okay. It's just fun.
- 30:00Speaker 2: It is just fun.
- 30:01Speaker 3: Wait, so, Professor h before we go, what other questions
- 30:04Speaker 3: would you have about things you would want to know
- 30:06Speaker 3: before rush?
- 30:08Speaker 1: Oh?
- 30:08Speaker 7: Gosh, I think before rush, I would want to know
- 30:13Speaker 7: do I get fed when I'm going to these houses?
- 30:16Speaker 7: Or do I need to eat before I go?
- 30:18Speaker 3: Definitely need to like slam some sandwiches before because I
- 30:22Speaker 3: feel like you almost can go all day without food.
- 30:25Speaker 3: I think one of them you get like a lemonade
- 30:26Speaker 3: and maybe a cookie.
- 30:28Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm trying to remember if I like remember like
- 30:30Speaker 5: a little break of like food that they would feed
- 30:33Speaker 5: all the pan ms in between. But yes, definitely hydrate
- 30:37Speaker 5: and eat something before because it is a long day
- 30:41Speaker 5: and it's a lot of talking that it can you know,
- 30:46Speaker 5: and where it's silly for me to say this, but
- 30:48Speaker 5: honestly wear comfortable shoes. I just remember standing all day
- 30:53Speaker 5: and just being like trying to find a couch or something.
- 30:56Speaker 6: I was like, please lead me to the couch, you
- 30:59Speaker 6: know what.
- 30:59Speaker 3: I so funny is like I don't even know that
- 31:02Speaker 3: I could do it at my age.
- 31:04Speaker 2: Now I feel like.
- 31:05Speaker 3: Whoa, that was so tiring At fifty, I'm like, I
- 31:09Speaker 3: don't know if I could do it like I could
- 31:11Speaker 3: when I was eighteen.
- 31:13Speaker 1: It is really tiring for us. In between rounds, you
- 31:17Speaker 1: were required to be in the cafeteria. So we had
- 31:21Speaker 1: this giant cafeteria where all the girls were required to
- 31:24Speaker 1: be in if you weren't at a house doing.
- 31:28Speaker 4: Wow group round.
- 31:29Speaker 1: So it was kind of cool because you get food
- 31:32Speaker 1: and water and like are reminded to hydrate and ac
- 31:35Speaker 1: because where I went to school was very hot, outside
- 31:38Speaker 1: when we rushed, which made it all more exhausting. But
- 31:42Speaker 1: it's kind of cool because you're a little bit forced
- 31:45Speaker 1: to be in this environment where you're making friends throughout
- 31:47Speaker 1: rush and not just focused on making friends at the houses.
- 31:51Speaker 1: You're sitting with the girls in between rounds and getting
- 31:54Speaker 1: to know people. So I thought it was a good opportunity.
- 31:56Speaker 1: But yeah, we were required to take our breaks in
- 31:59Speaker 1: the cafeteria and then at the end of the day
- 32:01Speaker 1: everybody altogether could go home, but it was no way.
- 32:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I also thought it was super fun. Like I
- 32:08Speaker 2: don't know if I'm like alone in that, but I
- 32:09Speaker 2: thought the whole thing was just so fun. I was like,
- 32:12Speaker 2: this is the greatest.
- 32:13Speaker 8: It was so fun and like being able to like
- 32:16Speaker 8: dress in the outfits you wanted. You're like, okay, I
- 32:18Speaker 8: can wear this, you know, on day one and like
- 32:20Speaker 8: stuff like that and be with your friends too.
- 32:23Speaker 6: It's it's so much fun.
- 32:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I thought it was so fun, and like we
- 32:28Speaker 3: talk about this all the time, but my sorority sisters
- 32:30Speaker 3: and I talk about all the time, were like, can
- 32:32Speaker 3: we go live there again?
- 32:34Speaker 2: Like together? Now?
- 32:36Speaker 7: I know how I would if I was in charge
- 32:39Speaker 7: of like sussing people out to be in our house.
- 32:42Speaker 7: Like the kinds of questions I would ask, I wouldn't
- 32:44Speaker 7: ask just the get to know. Yeah, I'd probably throw
- 32:46Speaker 7: in a couple of zingers to do a little test
- 32:50Speaker 7: test test, you know, like, hey, we go out and
- 32:53Speaker 7: party all night, do you have a fake ID on
- 32:55Speaker 7: you like that kind of stuff?
- 32:56Speaker 2: You know, Oh, that would be very very frowned upon. Okay,
- 33:00Speaker 2: So I wanted to know.
- 33:01Speaker 7: Is there somebody assigned to throw out some of those
- 33:04Speaker 7: kind of baited questions in the process to kind of
- 33:09Speaker 7: sess out the girls that maybe aren't the right fit
- 33:12Speaker 7: for the house.
- 33:14Speaker 1: It's hard because I think there's a lot of taboos
- 33:16Speaker 1: and you're not supposed to talk about the three bees,
- 33:19Speaker 1: which is booze, boys, and Bible.
- 33:24Speaker 3: So religionally, we never quite heard it like that. We
- 33:26Speaker 3: never like heard it like that, but I think it.
- 33:29Speaker 2: Was just sort of understood.
- 33:32Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 33:32Speaker 4: Yeah. I don't know.
- 33:33Speaker 2: I feel like eventually we did start talking about like boys.
- 33:36Speaker 7: I guess I'm just wondering, like, so, you're you're literally
- 33:40Speaker 7: just going off of a vibe then on if you
- 33:42Speaker 7: like a girl versus like getting into that nitty gritty
- 33:46Speaker 7: to see if she like, you know, is a party animal,
- 33:51Speaker 7: or if she cheats on her boyfriend with their you know,
- 33:54Speaker 7: steals guys from her best friends. You know, you don't
- 33:56Speaker 7: ask any of those kinds of questions to really like
- 34:00Speaker 7: saw somebody out during this process.
- 34:02Speaker 5: There it is a bit of research done by the
- 34:04Speaker 5: houses before Rush even starts about that with people. I'm
- 34:08Speaker 5: sure it's much more intense now.
- 34:10Speaker 6: With social media. Before social media, it was kind of
- 34:14Speaker 6: word of mouth.
- 34:16Speaker 5: You know, a lot of I would say a lot
- 34:18Speaker 5: of kids go to in state schools.
- 34:22Speaker 6: Not everybody, but so there would be people be like, oh,
- 34:25Speaker 6: she went.
- 34:26Speaker 5: To my high school or is friends with so and
- 34:28Speaker 5: so that I know, and this is something that they
- 34:31Speaker 5: told me about this person, and would kind of clock
- 34:33Speaker 5: that early and like they're so early.
- 34:36Speaker 6: Almost even before rush starts.
- 34:38Speaker 5: So it was almost like keep an eye out, like
- 34:41Speaker 5: she's a little bit of a red flag already, and
- 34:43Speaker 5: then like see how the conversations go with them without
- 34:46Speaker 5: having to I'm with the other girl who talked about
- 34:50Speaker 5: the three bees.
- 34:50Speaker 6: Ours was the same.
- 34:51Speaker 4: You couldn't.
- 34:52Speaker 6: You weren't supposed to talk about those things.
- 34:54Speaker 5: So there is a little bit of that done beforehand.
- 34:57Speaker 5: And then does she give up those vibes, does she.
- 35:02Speaker 7: Well to piggyback off of that. So maybe somebody that's
- 35:05Speaker 7: not notorious for a bad thing in their past, but
- 35:08Speaker 7: maybe notorious for whether they come from a prominent family
- 35:12Speaker 7: or they used to date a professional athlete or something
- 35:16Speaker 7: like that. Do those kinds of things get researched and
- 35:21Speaker 7: get you pushed to the front of the line. Essentially
- 35:24Speaker 7: for some schools, if you have a really big let's say.
- 35:26Speaker 3: Well, I definitely think dating a professional athlete when you're
- 35:29Speaker 3: eighteen would be a little.
- 35:31Speaker 7: Bit I'm just saying, what about these TikTokers that are
- 35:35Speaker 7: coming into school with, you know, their freshman year with
- 35:38Speaker 7: over a million followers and that kind of notoriety. Is
- 35:40Speaker 7: that going to push you to the front of people's
- 35:43Speaker 7: lists of you know, houses wanting you.
- 35:45Speaker 8: Now, Yeah, I think depending on the house too, like
- 35:48Speaker 8: what they prioritize, Like there were houses that were very studious,
- 35:52Speaker 8: like that was kind of what they were known for,
- 35:54Speaker 8: and then like more like popular houses.
- 35:57Speaker 7: So those areas where it's like, oh.
- 35:59Speaker 8: We want this girl that has a million followers, where
- 36:02Speaker 8: the other ones are like, maybe don't care as much.
- 36:04Speaker 3: I always wonder about the celebrities kids because you always
- 36:07Speaker 3: hear about celebrities kids going through rush, and I never
- 36:10Speaker 3: know if that's like good bad if people know.
- 36:13Speaker 2: I don't know. I always think about that.
- 36:15Speaker 5: Another piece of advice to kind of help with this
- 36:17Speaker 5: situation that I thought of is, before you go, if
- 36:21Speaker 5: you know somebody, an aunt, your mom's best friend, an
- 36:27Speaker 5: upper classman, somebody who was in these houses before, get
- 36:30Speaker 5: a wreck letter from somebody who is in the house.
- 36:32Speaker 6: It really helps your chances.
- 36:34Speaker 5: It puts you probably above some other girls because that
- 36:37Speaker 5: does happen where they.
- 36:39Speaker 1: Will look out for you.
- 36:40Speaker 6: You will be one of their top girls, and they will.
- 36:42Speaker 5: Assign specific girls to be the ones to talk to you,
- 36:44Speaker 5: to try and influence you to choose that house.
- 36:47Speaker 3: Essentially, yeah, especially if you know someone in that house,
- 36:53Speaker 3: like that's still there, still.
- 36:55Speaker 5: There, but yeah, even alumni polls can go pretty.
- 36:59Speaker 7: Far, I'll think.
- 37:00Speaker 4: So.
- 37:01Speaker 1: I hope this was enlightening.
- 37:03Speaker 7: I learned a lot today you guys as a non
- 37:05Speaker 7: sorority sister. Thanks for letting me in today.
- 37:10Speaker 1: More to come.
- 37:11Speaker 3: I can't wait for the singing episode.
- 37:14Speaker 7: Are warming up those vocal.
- 37:15Speaker 2: Cords, get your damp shoes.
- 37:17Speaker 3: Talk to you guys, later Bye bye,
