- 0:35Speaker 3: Google jelly Roll right now because I'm off the internet.
- 0:37Speaker 4: We'll talk about it. Yeah, which is just start. But
- 0:40Speaker 4: that's but like it's a headline. Now you google jelly
- 0:43Speaker 4: roll and hit the news button. It's like rolling Stone headline.
- 0:48Speaker 4: Jelly Roll only wears socks once says big people can't
- 0:52Speaker 4: have stinky feet. This is on people. This is on people.
- 0:55Speaker 2: People. Yeah, so it's like just from you making that comment, it's.
- 0:59Speaker 4: Like you're instantly a news with us.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Two times.
- 1:06Speaker 4: And I didn't want to have stinky feet. I hope
- 1:08Speaker 4: y'all are rolling. Yeah, I just didn't want to have
- 1:10Speaker 4: steaky feet.
- 1:11Speaker 5: What people are treating like, oh you onlybody's one para
- 1:14Speaker 5: sos like and you know what, it was an honest
- 1:17Speaker 5: moment for me.
- 1:18Speaker 4: It was My answer was they said, what's the last
- 1:19Speaker 4: thing you bought on Amazon? I said, actually, this is
- 1:22Speaker 4: also my most frivolous habit I have. I was like,
- 1:25Speaker 4: I buy socks. That was my most recent Amazon purchase.
- 1:29Speaker 4: I always buy new socks. I was like, I only
- 1:30Speaker 4: wear socks. Wants no, thank you. I'm scared of those. Dude.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Everybody I know who does addicted to them.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like behavior kids.
- 1:43Speaker 4: My brother choose them like you. That is insane to me.
- 1:46Speaker 4: He choose them like their fucking bubble gum.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Though. Yeah, the boy says, if he's not eating or sleeping,
- 1:51Speaker 2: they're in. That's even when I work out.
- 1:53Speaker 1: If I get a workout in, I got two and
- 1:55Speaker 1: a halfway through the workout, I'll switch them out.
- 1:56Speaker 4: I would worry about swallowing water, sucking. We ever sucked
- 1:59Speaker 4: one in the windpipe, whoa, oh.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Suckling twice and where is he going?
- 2:12Speaker 5: We have Kirk Cousins on and he said that Taylor honekey,
- 2:15Speaker 5: he loves him, He's to him. He'll get up and
- 2:17Speaker 5: take a piss in the middle night. And as he
- 2:18Speaker 5: goes and takes a pistol, throw one in.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Dude, I haven't got there yet, Kurt.
- 2:22Speaker 4: That episode was fine, by the way, Kurt. Yeah. And
- 2:25Speaker 4: I got to meet him. He was with Uh, he was,
- 2:27Speaker 4: he was. He was our boy kittle of all places, Augusta. Really,
- 2:31Speaker 4: I was at the Masters and I'm like, there's no
- 2:33Speaker 4: way I'll see anybody I know here for sure, And
- 2:35Speaker 4: I look up and of all motherfuckers, it's George Kettley
- 2:38Speaker 4: Kirk Cousins.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Well, I bet there was so many fifty year old
- 2:42Speaker 1: white people watching you up by going, let anybody.
- 2:44Speaker 4: Know wearing a denim jacket, yeah, uh, blue jeans, boots.
- 2:50Speaker 4: I'm out there dressed like I was.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Dude, don't they have a don't they have like a
- 2:55Speaker 2: dress code there? Yeah?
- 2:56Speaker 4: And they said no, for you had a trick. So
- 2:58Speaker 4: they posted a picture of leon Bridge the year before
- 3:01Speaker 4: and Leon Bridge is just standing at a man corner
- 3:03Speaker 4: and like linen and loafers, and I'm like, if he
- 3:07Speaker 4: can wear linen and loafers. I can wear denim and leather.
- 3:11Speaker 4: I was like, you know what I mean. So I
- 3:13Speaker 4: just showed up dressed like jelly roll.
- 3:16Speaker 2: All.
- 3:17Speaker 4: Let me tell you what happened. I got to tell
- 3:19Speaker 4: this story ever. Want to so bad? I said, can
- 3:21Speaker 4: I take the Leon Bridges picture? They're like, of course,
- 3:23Speaker 4: We'll take you to a man corner and let you
- 3:24Speaker 4: take the picture and we'll send it to you and
- 3:27Speaker 4: we'll post it from the masters. I'm like, this is crazy.
- 3:30Speaker 4: They're going to post me from the masters. They wouldn't
- 3:33Speaker 4: post the picture because I have my fucking ball cap
- 3:35Speaker 4: on backwards, no ship tats everywhere, and trust me with
- 3:42Speaker 4: the picture. Really no, it's the backwards hat's what did
- 3:45Speaker 4: it do?
- 3:46Speaker 2: Next? Next thing? Dude magazine Jilly will in a lawsuit.
- 3:50Speaker 5: And that's crazy. Dude's got tats on his face and everything.
- 3:53Speaker 5: That's the backwards hat.
- 3:56Speaker 4: And my fault. I respect the game and I should
- 3:58Speaker 4: have turned my hat around, but I wasn't. I wasn't thinking.
- 4:01Speaker 4: And what's even worse is as soon as I walked off,
- 4:04Speaker 4: some guy said you should have turned your hat around.
- 4:06Speaker 4: I was like, man, I don't give a fuck what
- 4:08Speaker 4: I do. I kind of joked back like haha, dude was.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Like, okay, some guy trying to warn you.
- 4:15Speaker 4: Yeah, some guy was trying to give me game, and
- 4:16Speaker 4: I thought we were just kind of jazzed. I don't worry, man,
- 4:19Speaker 4: let me smoke.
- 4:20Speaker 1: We dude, the whole that's like the golf, the uppittiness
- 4:23Speaker 1: of the golf. That is for me, what turns me
- 4:26Speaker 1: off to the game. The line that's where I draw
- 4:28Speaker 1: the line is like I don't like dress codes. I
- 4:30Speaker 1: don't like the call you have to wear color shirt
- 4:32Speaker 1: tucked in, can't wear a backwards hat. That's why I'm like,
- 4:34Speaker 1: what are we trying to prove here? And that's what
- 4:36Speaker 1: kind of turned me off for for so long now.
- 4:38Speaker 4: I just especially when you hang out with pro golfers
- 4:40Speaker 4: and their degenerates are like us, Like you know, John
- 4:44Speaker 4: Daly's like me, And Ernest's dad.
- 4:47Speaker 5: Is so funny when you see him go through the
- 4:49Speaker 5: timeline like it's always something just absolutely and his son.
- 4:53Speaker 1: He's heard the story of when he started don't I'm
- 4:56Speaker 1: gonna I'll butcher the story. But he was basically like
- 4:58Speaker 1: a ninth reserve guy for this major. I don't know
- 5:01Speaker 1: if it was the Masters or what he ends up
- 5:03Speaker 1: getting a call, wakes up hungover, doesn't warm up at all.
- 5:06Speaker 1: It's zero warm up time. Anything, ends up wanting the thing.
- 5:08Speaker 1: That's like the like the legend of John Daily start
- 5:10Speaker 1: who ship Yes rock.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:14Speaker 1: I mean there's probably some major details I'm missing in that,
- 5:17Speaker 1: but it was that's that's the Yeah, it's the back
- 5:20Speaker 1: of the book.
- 5:20Speaker 4: But Dad will get on here anytime. I'll get on here.
- 5:26Speaker 4: John will come on here and talk ship. He's the dude.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Dude, he rolled up heart, he did a music video.
- 5:30Speaker 4: How about this. I'll give y'all my word. I will
- 5:33Speaker 4: call John Daily today tell.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Them that's all.
- 5:37Speaker 4: Yeah, he's like my I call him Dad for real.
- 5:40Speaker 4: He's the sweetest dude. He uh he's I mean he
- 5:43Speaker 4: sent me the coolest Christmas gift I even got this year.
- 5:45Speaker 4: It was a painting and it was like I think,
- 5:49Speaker 4: I don't know if he knows this or not, but
- 5:50Speaker 4: I don't like most artists. I don't like stuff that
- 5:52Speaker 4: says jelly roll and I won't wear a jelly Roll shirt,
- 5:55Speaker 4: you know what I mean, or stuff like that, or
- 5:57Speaker 4: like a picture of myself I want hang pictures of
- 6:00Speaker 4: So this painting is like my lyrics encapsulated in different
- 6:04Speaker 4: picture styles, so it's like the Skull, but a different
- 6:07Speaker 4: style of the skull that always rock with. This has
- 6:10Speaker 4: all these cool lyrics spray painted in the background and
- 6:13Speaker 4: like live animations. I've seen y'all a picture, dude, it's
- 6:16Speaker 4: super coold, just awful. Get I got y'all though. Man,
- 6:20Speaker 4: I don't know if anybody else gets excited to come
- 6:22Speaker 4: back on here as I do. I just looked at you.
- 6:25Speaker 4: I know the bus.
- 6:28Speaker 2: If I get silent for a long time, just sitting
- 6:32Speaker 2: and trying to just catch up, I.
- 6:33Speaker 4: Just get excited.
- 6:34Speaker 6: Man.
- 6:34Speaker 4: It just reminds me of we've had a lot of
- 6:36Speaker 4: good times and the fact that we've stayed friends and
- 6:38Speaker 4: we talked. But the cool thing I love about coming
- 6:40Speaker 4: back here is that we don't never get to talk
- 6:41Speaker 4: like this, Like this is like hours, like we'll catch up.
- 6:44Speaker 4: They just checking in or shoot the voice memos and
- 6:46Speaker 4: the videos of the text. But this is cool.
- 6:49Speaker 3: Man.
- 6:50Speaker 4: I've cried on this bus. I've been hung over on
- 6:52Speaker 4: this bus. I've shipped myself on this Yeah. I've had
- 6:55Speaker 4: some really wild me and my wife went viral on this.
- 6:59Speaker 2: It's been over emotion and funny ship.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Yeah, ude, it's crazy to see like your last year
- 7:04Speaker 1: and we were just talking about right when you got
- 7:05Speaker 1: on about people talking about you don't wear socks once
- 7:09Speaker 1: a couple of years ago. No one gives a shit
- 7:10Speaker 1: about how many socks you were wearing.
- 7:14Speaker 5: It'd be like us trying to clip that story and not.
- 7:17Speaker 5: You know, you might get tracks, you might not. You
- 7:18Speaker 5: probably will just because of social media of a jelly roll,
- 7:20Speaker 5: but you know, I think it's gonna be some negative headline.
- 7:23Speaker 2: No, it's crazy.
- 7:24Speaker 1: It's got to be like an insane thing like you.
- 7:26Speaker 1: I mean, you're you do really well, like sitting back
- 7:28Speaker 1: and being appreciative of all this stuff. But bro, it's
- 7:30Speaker 1: got insane.
- 7:31Speaker 4: Yeah man, it's it's cool though, It's like I disconnected
- 7:35Speaker 4: from it as soon as it started happening. I was like, oh,
- 7:37Speaker 4: I know how to deal with this. I immediately got
- 7:39Speaker 4: off social media. I was like, but now I consume
- 7:43Speaker 4: life in an even wilder way through news, but not
- 7:46Speaker 4: like old news, like you know, how like you can
- 7:47Speaker 4: get Google alerts for certain names like I'm put in
- 7:49Speaker 4: my name, my wife's name, the Tennessee Titans busting anybody,
- 7:53Speaker 4: any of our friends, like the homies. So like when
- 7:56Speaker 4: like birds on jim Jimmy Kimmel, somebody I see it,
- 8:00Speaker 4: you know what I mean? It pops up Burt Christ
- 8:02Speaker 4: for Jimmy Kimmel. I'm like, I should go check this out.
- 8:04Speaker 4: Which is a wild way to consume life too, you
- 8:06Speaker 4: know what I mean. But it's way easier.
- 8:08Speaker 5: That's basically what you've transitioned to since you get away
- 8:11Speaker 5: from social media.
- 8:11Speaker 2: For sure.
- 8:12Speaker 4: And I don't spend no time scrolling or doing it.
- 8:14Speaker 4: And here's the coolest part, y'all, I'm creating more content
- 8:18Speaker 4: right now than I've ever created. I'm fixing the flood
- 8:21Speaker 4: content Like I was an independent artist when y'all met me,
- 8:25Speaker 4: how I was uploading fifty times a year on YouTube.
- 8:27Speaker 4: I'm fixing to y'all are watched.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Why is that?
- 8:31Speaker 4: Because now I'm not doing this for eight hours a day, yeah,
- 8:34Speaker 4: six hours a day. Every time I have an extra second,
- 8:36Speaker 4: I'm actually thinking about stuff now, yeah you know what
- 8:39Speaker 4: I mean. Like I'm actually at present when a camera's
- 8:42Speaker 4: on me, you know what I mean. I'm not looking
- 8:43Speaker 4: for a moment to go checking. So I spent more
- 8:45Speaker 4: time looking what was happening on social media than using
- 8:49Speaker 4: it as a tool to promote what I was trying
- 8:51Speaker 4: to do right.
- 8:52Speaker 2: How free has that been, that process of change?
- 8:54Speaker 4: It's been great, man. Yeah, it's been like I've never
- 8:57Speaker 4: been more aware of where I'm at. I've never been
- 8:58Speaker 4: more present. Everywhere I'm at is that's where I am,
- 9:02Speaker 4: and that hasn't been the case for a long time.
- 9:04Speaker 4: I've been in really cool moments, dude. It was like,
- 9:08Speaker 4: I think it was the ACMs last year. I'm sitting
- 9:11Speaker 4: behind Jason al Dean. It's the first time I realized
- 9:13Speaker 4: I had a real problem. I was at the ACMs
- 9:15Speaker 4: and just like, habit, We'll just pull my phone out
- 9:19Speaker 4: and just kept getting lost in my phone. I'm at
- 9:21Speaker 4: an award show sitting next to a list celebrities. What
- 9:26Speaker 4: the fuck is happening on TikTok That's going to be
- 9:28Speaker 4: so cool to me.
- 9:29Speaker 2: TikTok wants to know about it?
- 9:30Speaker 4: Yeah, for sure. It's like this is the tiktoks are
- 9:32Speaker 4: coming from here. I'm just watching you know what I'm saying.
- 9:36Speaker 4: It was just like, yo, this is right. Then I
- 9:38Speaker 4: was like, this is getting sick.
- 9:40Speaker 2: You did the transition?
- 9:41Speaker 1: Was there like a piece of withdrawal At first, when
- 9:43Speaker 1: you weren't scrolling, you kind of felt you, I'm a
- 9:45Speaker 1: little fucking board right now for sure?
- 9:47Speaker 4: Well you still you still I still reach for my
- 9:49Speaker 4: pocket a bunch, you know what I mean. It's not
- 9:51Speaker 4: even I don't even carry you know, I don't even
- 9:54Speaker 4: carry the phone. So it's just I live in a
- 9:56Speaker 4: whole different place. Dog, I'm in a great place.
- 9:57Speaker 5: Do you feel like they're just like because you we
- 9:59Speaker 5: were talking about started with talking about that Socks headline,
- 10:02Speaker 5: like how massive like in where there can be in
- 10:04Speaker 5: a negative lot of whatever. Do you feel like there's
- 10:07Speaker 5: more expectation on you now when you are creating, when
- 10:09Speaker 5: you are getting in these environments. That's a great question,
- 10:14Speaker 5: Will because I would assume you have to kind of
- 10:17Speaker 5: battle with that, especially like you try to be real
- 10:19Speaker 5: conscious of it. But there's gotta be times like you're
- 10:22Speaker 5: you've been just doing this, like you say, we swap
- 10:24Speaker 5: stories and keep up with each other because everybody's busy,
- 10:27Speaker 5: but you've just been doing this. So when you're trying
- 10:29Speaker 5: to stay intentional, do you find out difficult at times?
- 10:32Speaker 5: Or do you feel like there's that expectation?
- 10:33Speaker 4: I think, man, I'm always vulnerable in here. I wouldn't
- 10:37Speaker 4: say this in many places where I feel that the
- 10:39Speaker 4: most will is in the studio. I'm in a weird
- 10:43Speaker 4: place where I've released three hundred songs in my career.
- 10:46Speaker 4: I've had success. I'm close to celebrating my fourth number
- 10:48Speaker 4: one on country radio, my fifth number one on radio.
- 10:51Speaker 4: I've had international songs. I mean, I've checked all the
- 10:53Speaker 4: boxes of things that I never thought I would do.
- 10:56Speaker 4: Grammy nominations, awards. But I'm technically in the world world's
- 11:00Speaker 4: eyes working on my sophomore album. And there's this age
- 11:03Speaker 4: old cliche called the sophomore slump.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Yeah, happens in sports too, you know what I mean.
- 11:09Speaker 4: So it's like I'm I'm feeling it when I'm writing
- 11:12Speaker 4: songs like I want to I want to send y'all
- 11:14Speaker 4: some stuff to listen to, Like I'm fixing. To get
- 11:15Speaker 4: to the point where I'm fixing it, just start leaning
- 11:17Speaker 4: on my friends and relying on honesty. Because when you
- 11:20Speaker 4: write a hundred and something songs for an album, because
- 11:22Speaker 4: you're that into it, they start all sounding the same.
- 11:26Speaker 4: You don't know which one is the better one of
- 11:27Speaker 4: the two that sound alike. And now you're in this
- 11:29Speaker 4: place where you've got one hundred songs. I could have
- 11:30Speaker 4: the best song of my career. I don't even really
- 11:33Speaker 4: know it right now because they're all just like a
- 11:35Speaker 4: big puddle of just noise to me almost. So it's
- 11:38Speaker 4: a way, it's a scary place to be.
- 11:39Speaker 2: I'm petrified in the world of like writing songs and stuff.
- 11:42Speaker 4: I mean that, like I'm genuinely petrified.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean it's it's a scary place to be
- 11:46Speaker 1: because you've had all the success, and there's always something
- 11:48Speaker 1: in the back of your head when you are having
- 11:49Speaker 1: a lot of success of.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Like when's it gonna end? Like when's the fall? When?
- 11:53Speaker 2: When is you know that fear creeps up in the
- 11:55Speaker 2: back over socks?
- 11:57Speaker 4: Yeah it is.
- 12:00Speaker 1: We we know, Like I mean, how many people do
- 12:02Speaker 1: we know like lasted generation after generation of generation like
- 12:05Speaker 1: five people in the music industry, and so you have
- 12:08Speaker 1: to like there's always a piece of you that's like
- 12:10Speaker 1: when's it? When's my time up? When's my time coming?
- 12:12Speaker 1: And then once your time comes, like when is my
- 12:14Speaker 1: time upright? And so it's a it's a very legitimate
- 12:17Speaker 1: fear to have, like when you're writing this music, obviously,
- 12:19Speaker 1: like Ernest is a dude that always like he's like.
- 12:21Speaker 2: With you, you.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Roll a party a lot, Morgan. Those types of dudes,
- 12:25Speaker 1: like how much are you leaning on them to be
- 12:26Speaker 1: able to zoom out a little bit, because we even
- 12:28Speaker 1: with busting, like, we get in the situations where we're
- 12:31Speaker 1: so zoomed into what we're trying to do that we're
- 12:33Speaker 1: kind of missing the right thing to do at the time.
- 12:36Speaker 7: You know exactly what I was thinking about said that.
- 12:42Speaker 4: I remember we only time I've ever seen y'all just
- 12:45Speaker 4: miss and that was me as well.
- 12:49Speaker 2: We saw.
- 12:52Speaker 1: And it was like, what was it January or right
- 12:55Speaker 1: right before January? Was like, hey, I think you know
- 12:57Speaker 1: Quicker City Nighthawks, tip of the Cat, back to the
- 12:59Speaker 1: like our Ridge original intro this that, and like he's
- 13:02Speaker 1: like going through and he's like this seems like a
- 13:04Speaker 1: really good idea and I have the time like it's
- 13:06Speaker 1: all Wilson.
- 13:06Speaker 2: I was like, Yeah, that sounds dope, that sounds cool.
- 13:08Speaker 2: I mean it took to get your mind around it.
- 13:10Speaker 6: It took me.
- 13:11Speaker 5: And I was like I've done it a couple of times,
- 13:12Speaker 5: but it just we've never actually done it or pursued
- 13:15Speaker 5: somebody writing us something. And there's a style like have
- 13:19Speaker 5: you ever seen Club. Yeah, he's kind of got like
- 13:21Speaker 5: a cliffhanger at the beginning and this undertone of Nipsy
- 13:25Speaker 5: and then it goes into the Nipsey Hustle song. And
- 13:27Speaker 5: I always think it's like they have that one that
- 13:29Speaker 5: grabs you in the first ten to fifteen seconds of
- 13:31Speaker 5: a clip. So I was trying to think, like the
- 13:33Speaker 5: song that we have with intro, you don't necessarily have
- 13:35Speaker 5: like an underlying tone where you can do that. So
- 13:38Speaker 5: it's like, how can we find a song? And it's like,
- 13:40Speaker 5: I've always been obsessed with this. What was it some
- 13:42Speaker 5: of Adam's blues by Quaker City Night, Yeah, And I
- 13:44Speaker 5: was like, man, this could sound dope.
- 13:46Speaker 2: We tried it. You know, we're back.
- 13:48Speaker 4: I'll tell you this. I'll give you some game. You
- 13:49Speaker 4: ready for it? And this is something you just so much.
- 13:51Speaker 4: Oldhead taught me I would be paid the cars for
- 13:55Speaker 4: a living, right, And he said, you're always one stroke
- 14:00Speaker 4: away from either polishing it to a pearl or polishing
- 14:03Speaker 4: the paint off, like one wipe away. It's that close,
- 14:08Speaker 4: you know what I mean. Yeah, sometimes you just gotta go, Man,
- 14:11Speaker 4: that motherfucker is a pearl right now. Message and good friends.
- 14:16Speaker 5: That we talk about, being like, you should have just
- 14:19Speaker 5: shot a message to that even I mean we were
- 14:21Speaker 5: getting double.
- 14:21Speaker 4: I feel like you have missed it. The comments were
- 14:27Speaker 4: putting out the best content ever, and all you could
- 14:29Speaker 4: see in the comments was bring back you.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Know at his house sitting there petting is dog.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Going yeah, yeah, yeah, he's all those comments just yeah
- 14:41Speaker 1: the whole time, bring back the intro. But yeah, who
- 14:45Speaker 1: So of those guys that we were talking about, and
- 14:47Speaker 1: when were in your sophomore album, who are.
- 14:49Speaker 2: We talking to?
- 14:50Speaker 1: Like are you like giving it to them? Being like,
- 14:52Speaker 1: please tell me where I'm sucking up?
- 14:53Speaker 4: Ernest, I brought what whatever? The phase of writing, Ernest
- 14:58Speaker 4: is always the dude to dominate. He's yeah, he's got
- 15:02Speaker 4: to call the the dominator.
- 15:06Speaker 2: What you say, I don't know. I thought I said
- 15:07Speaker 2: the nominated dominated?
- 15:10Speaker 4: Are you? I will?
- 15:13Speaker 2: We're on the magic school bus all right now?
- 15:16Speaker 4: No, dude, I'll just shoot it to earn and ask
- 15:19Speaker 4: and I'll shoot them and shoot snippets to friends. I'll
- 15:22Speaker 4: shoot you also. I'm just kind of hit people that
- 15:24Speaker 4: are honest. My wife's man, I'm scared to play her
- 15:28Speaker 4: song if you ask her. I've had two hits. Ever,
- 15:31Speaker 4: you know.
- 15:33Speaker 5: How many hits out there that never made it, never
- 15:36Speaker 5: made it out there because Bunny was like, this is garbage.
- 15:39Speaker 4: How excited for the Beer Olympics? Yeah?
- 15:41Speaker 2: Fired up?
- 15:41Speaker 4: Depends what are we depending on I.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Heard there's some scuttle butt. I heard a rumor that logistically,
- 15:50Speaker 2: Jolly Roll might not be able to make it.
- 15:52Speaker 4: We're doing it for sure. I've already figured that out.
- 15:54Speaker 4: I'm doing Kimmel the same day, so I'm flying right there.
- 15:56Speaker 4: We're just doing an A and b rig There.
- 15:58Speaker 2: We go, there, we have it.
- 15:59Speaker 4: This is.
- 16:03Speaker 2: It was done, I know, but I thought so too.
- 16:04Speaker 1: But you know how it is when management gets involved
- 16:06Speaker 1: and then there's a third party. Well we can tell
- 16:09Speaker 1: people now, yeah, yeah, yeah, We're doing Beer Olympics at
- 16:11Speaker 1: Red Rock in Las Vegas. Beer game, serious beer game.
- 16:16Speaker 1: The way went no, don't We've hinted no, this is
- 16:18Speaker 1: great for you to be.
- 16:19Speaker 4: On the way.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Announced it and there's been a lot of people coming
- 16:22Speaker 1: and going, dude. We started in February, locking cats in,
- 16:27Speaker 1: put it on your calendar, and we've had people drop out.
- 16:29Speaker 1: It's been it's been a bummer. So I get a
- 16:32Speaker 1: call last week and I'm talking back and forth, and
- 16:35Speaker 1: somebody Red Rock is like, yeah, Jelly's on the fifty
- 16:37Speaker 1: yard line right now.
- 16:38Speaker 2: And I was like, whoa, Because we talked a little
- 16:40Speaker 2: bit ago.
- 16:40Speaker 1: You say something like the ten and you you we've
- 16:42Speaker 1: had the conversation. So I'm like, oh, this is for
- 16:43Speaker 1: sure happening. They say, logistically, he's just seen if he
- 16:47Speaker 1: can make it happen. But and then you just you
- 16:49Speaker 1: just assume Red Rock management. They start talking and every
- 16:52Speaker 1: few days, every few days, tailors usually hit me with like,
- 16:56Speaker 1: here you see it.
- 16:57Speaker 2: I have some some more bad. It's just like I
- 17:00Speaker 2: just put the bull.
- 17:00Speaker 4: In our head.
- 17:01Speaker 2: And he's like Jelly roll and I was just.
- 17:02Speaker 4: Like, no, no, no, let's figure it out. We got we're doing.
- 17:06Speaker 4: We're doing Kimmel that day, I think is what it's happening,
- 17:09Speaker 4: And we're just figuring out a way to knock out two.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Birds because it is it's gonna be incredible, like the event,
- 17:17Speaker 1: all the stuff going into it, the shake cover, the sponsors.
- 17:21Speaker 4: What's probably happening is on our end inside baseball, and
- 17:25Speaker 4: this is how we talk on the phone. Y'all get
- 17:26Speaker 4: to see how we talk to each other. If I
- 17:28Speaker 4: had to guess they just haven't got back for them.
- 17:31Speaker 4: They're just not getting back to him quick enough, like
- 17:33Speaker 4: Red Rocks probably wants it in a certain timeline, and
- 17:35Speaker 4: the way my people are probably looking at it sadly
- 17:37Speaker 4: we have so much ship coming up, or probably like.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Yo, chill, we'll be there for sure, you know what
- 17:42Speaker 2: I mean, like.
- 17:43Speaker 4: Dudes coming, you know what I mean. That's what my
- 17:46Speaker 4: guess is right now that they're more just worried that, you.
- 17:49Speaker 2: Know, and your team sticking to the script too.
- 17:51Speaker 5: It's like if they're saying this is nothing on our script,
- 17:54Speaker 5: like maybe this in conversation.
- 17:56Speaker 4: As soon as I hitaid, what way do y'all want
- 17:58Speaker 4: to do it? And y'all told me I hit him
- 18:00Speaker 4: that's how we're doing.
- 18:01Speaker 1: We did have a lengthy conversation. So for everybody who
- 18:04Speaker 1: doesn't know the text message group chat, you hit us
- 18:06Speaker 1: up and you're like, you want to do a three
- 18:08Speaker 1: hundred person like private show or do you want to
- 18:10Speaker 1: do like an actual public show? Will was thinking private.
- 18:13Speaker 1: I was thinking public. And the reason why I was
- 18:15Speaker 1: sak in public is dude, beer Olympics. I mean, you
- 18:17Speaker 1: saw us last year. No one's going to be hearing
- 18:19Speaker 1: your music we're all going to black out anyway, so
- 18:22Speaker 1: to have other people go and enjoy it, I was
- 18:24Speaker 1: thinking it was a nice gesture to be amazing, but
- 18:26Speaker 1: at the same time, like, I'm not gonna remember shit.
- 18:28Speaker 2: I'm gonna be like, hey, how did Jelly.
- 18:30Speaker 4: Do last night?
- 18:30Speaker 2: That was what did it? Awesome?
- 18:32Speaker 1: And then we sent it to the boys and it
- 18:33Speaker 1: was a unanimous publicimous public. So that being said, ladies
- 18:36Speaker 1: and gentlemen. June twenty fifth, Tuesday at Red Rock One
- 18:41Speaker 1: night only, the King himself Jilly Will will be playing
- 18:44Speaker 1: a concert.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Let's fuck you boss for that boys, Yes, but just.
- 18:48Speaker 5: To prepare everybody all of the beer games content that
- 18:51Speaker 5: will be shot that they won't be coming out until
- 18:54Speaker 5: I think in August.
- 18:55Speaker 2: It's gonna get a lot of editing done and everything
- 18:57Speaker 2: else is how much that's blown up, but not near
- 19:01Speaker 2: as much as what we want to talk about. You, bro,
- 19:03Speaker 2: you have been doing every time. I feel like you're
- 19:06Speaker 2: never home.
- 19:07Speaker 4: I was going three hundred days last year.
- 19:09Speaker 2: Really, what's happened in the last year, just chasing the record?
- 19:18Speaker 4: I dropped the album.
- 19:19Speaker 5: Right right, but I'm saying, like, what, like, what are
- 19:21Speaker 5: the cool new things that you've been doing in the
- 19:23Speaker 5: last year because Jack's like, Hey, what do we want
- 19:24Speaker 5: to talk to Jelly about. I'm like, man, I don't
- 19:26Speaker 5: know if I've been able to just I see. It's like,
- 19:28Speaker 5: you come across my screen. You're giving some Southern Baptist
- 19:32Speaker 5: church speech. Every time I bring up X.
- 19:34Speaker 1: You're it's amazing talking about drugs. You're on American Idol,
- 19:40Speaker 1: You're on the Voice, You're on every Today's show ever,
- 19:43Speaker 1: Tonight's show ever. Should I'm supposed you haven't hosted SNL yet.
- 19:46Speaker 4: Yes, God, man, you.
- 19:48Speaker 2: Need to host SNL. That would be nasty.
- 19:50Speaker 4: ILL tell you what. I'm free this follow.
- 19:56Speaker 2: But you've you've really been fucking doing it all.
- 19:58Speaker 5: It's cool you're saying that on Learn you know about
- 20:01Speaker 5: all the different things he's been It's like hard to.
- 20:03Speaker 1: This man was in front of people who make loss
- 20:07Speaker 1: yang I am an ex drug dealer telling you this
- 20:10Speaker 1: is a problem. And it's eight ten minutes long. Yeah,
- 20:13Speaker 1: and he is articulate saying this thing And how much
- 20:18Speaker 1: did you prepare for that?
- 20:19Speaker 4: I really did? Did I really did? I'm not gonna
- 20:21Speaker 4: lie ass shot from the hip. I'll tell you. The
- 20:23Speaker 4: coolest part of that story is that my sister went
- 20:25Speaker 4: to college. She's the smartest one in our family by
- 20:27Speaker 4: a country mile. But we've never found a point of
- 20:30Speaker 4: connection to be able to work together on anything. And
- 20:33Speaker 4: I called her and said, I got a job for us.
- 20:35Speaker 4: She said what I said, I'm pretty well spoken, you're
- 20:38Speaker 4: real smart. Why don't you get me some logistics and
- 20:41Speaker 4: some some peer reviewed facts here and then we'll build
- 20:45Speaker 4: a case. And I got to put together a speech
- 20:46Speaker 4: to present the Congress, and me and her sat down
- 20:48Speaker 4: and cook that up together.
- 20:49Speaker 2: No, that is awesome.
- 20:50Speaker 4: I was like, I'll figure out the analogies. You just
- 20:52Speaker 4: give me the statistics and then I'll write it up.
- 20:55Speaker 4: And man, I was in my My wife thought it was.
- 20:57Speaker 4: She picked on me a little bit about it in
- 20:58Speaker 4: a sweet way. How she does She said, you so cute.
- 21:01Speaker 4: I was up my sheets of paper, reading them like
- 21:03Speaker 4: I was reading a script, you know, practicing the night before,
- 21:07Speaker 4: because dude, this was serious. I was going in front
- 21:08Speaker 4: of the United States Coress. I took it serious. Everyone's
- 21:12Speaker 4: gonna see it.
- 21:13Speaker 1: It's not just something some no disrespect from random person
- 21:16Speaker 1: walking up and saying, hey, we got to change this law.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Like you're a super influential person for sure. How much
- 21:20Speaker 1: prep when that phone call happened to your sister? How
- 21:23Speaker 1: far was the congress meeting away?
- 21:26Speaker 4: Three weeks but we took about three weeks to really
- 21:29Speaker 4: start coming together.
- 21:30Speaker 2: I feel like that's even a short amount of time.
- 21:31Speaker 2: How nervous were you?
- 21:32Speaker 4: Extremely? Yes, very more nervous th so liquid man. First
- 21:36Speaker 4: of all, it was in a courthouse. They'll say it's
- 21:38Speaker 4: not a courthouse, but I've been to a courthouse. This
- 21:41Speaker 4: is a courthouse, you know, you know what I mean.
- 21:43Speaker 4: And then it's a courtroom. They said it's not a courtroom,
- 21:46Speaker 4: but it's a courtroom. I've been to a courtroom. It's
- 21:47Speaker 4: set just like a courtroom. And I didn't think about
- 21:50Speaker 4: this until I was sitting there. But it's already designed
- 21:53Speaker 4: for you to feel less right. And I'm sure it's
- 21:58Speaker 4: designed that way on purpose, because all the congressmen are
- 22:00Speaker 4: sitting up and looking down at you, so like you're
- 22:05Speaker 4: peering up, and there's just I didn't think about it,
- 22:07Speaker 4: but psychologically you're Inentually I'm not looking at you eye
- 22:10Speaker 4: to eye. There's a there's a separation between me and you,
- 22:13Speaker 4: you know what I mean. There's a clear thing that
- 22:15Speaker 4: you're here and I'm here, and that that made me
- 22:18Speaker 4: more nervous than I anticipated, because that felt like a judge.
- 22:21Speaker 4: Judges sit up too, you know what I'm saying. I
- 22:23Speaker 4: was like, man, I'm in court right now, like but
- 22:25Speaker 4: it was. And I hope that they were going to
- 22:27Speaker 4: go the other way because I look at the guy
- 22:29Speaker 4: to the left of me from the FOP, great guy
- 22:31Speaker 4: for turn to order police. I go, pardon me, sir,
- 22:33Speaker 4: have you done this before? He's like, oh yeah, all
- 22:35Speaker 4: the time. The next guy next to him was a D,
- 22:37Speaker 4: a federal DA. So you do this, He's like all
- 22:40Speaker 4: the time, you know, we come speak here, you know,
- 22:41Speaker 4: probably probably once every other week. And I was like, oh, great,
- 22:44Speaker 4: well one of these guys go first. And I kind
- 22:46Speaker 4: of know what i'm doing here, you know what I'm saying.
- 22:48Speaker 4: I'll get I'll get to see a right, I don't
- 22:50Speaker 4: know what i'm doing, you know what I mean. And
- 22:53Speaker 4: of course I'm in the headspace that I'm constantly in, right,
- 22:57Speaker 4: So I'm in there and I'm like, maybe one of
- 22:59Speaker 4: these guys school bus, right, I'm like, maybe one of
- 23:02Speaker 4: these guys will show me the fucking way, you know
- 23:06Speaker 4: what I mean? And now they were like, all right,
- 23:07Speaker 4: mister d Ford, I'm sure you've never done this. I
- 23:09Speaker 4: was like, never, never thought I'd do it. Go ahead
- 23:13Speaker 4: for a sacrifice, Get out there you go.
- 23:16Speaker 5: The reaction of that speech was also like a very
- 23:19Speaker 5: viral thing. How coming out of that did you You
- 23:23Speaker 5: probably didn't expect that or anticipate that, nor care about it.
- 23:26Speaker 5: But seeing that it blew up the way it did,
- 23:28Speaker 5: I bet that that had to feel good, knowing that
- 23:30Speaker 5: you are pushing to make a wave like that.
- 23:33Speaker 4: It did. It felt, really it felt. I had a
- 23:37Speaker 4: moment where I was sitting there and I looked down
- 23:39Speaker 4: at that camera and I seen the screen and I
- 23:41Speaker 4: seen myself, and I was like, oh, this picture is
- 23:45Speaker 4: gonna be everywhere the rest of my life. Like I'm
- 23:47Speaker 4: on se SPAN right now. I didn't know I was
- 23:49Speaker 4: going to, you know what I mean. I'm like, I'm
- 23:51Speaker 4: on public television, free, free television. O G. Like everybody
- 23:56Speaker 4: can get everybody that anywhere they could watch me. I'm
- 23:59Speaker 4: getting watched in prison right now. Yeah, you know what
- 24:01Speaker 4: I mean? Like I am on c SPAN and uh.
- 24:05Speaker 4: I think also it goes like how the award speeches
- 24:08Speaker 4: worked for me. There's a true moment where this is
- 24:12Speaker 4: just all unreal to me. And I take every one
- 24:14Speaker 4: of those moments extremely serious, like way, like not serious
- 24:19Speaker 4: an aspect like I don't prep for award speeches, but
- 24:22Speaker 4: like I take it serious. When I'm walking up there,
- 24:24Speaker 4: I'm praying right then quietly, God, this is the last
- 24:29Speaker 4: time that I ever win one of these, and I
- 24:31Speaker 4: get to address millions of people watching me. I'm in
- 24:35Speaker 4: front of my peers. I am elated to be here.
- 24:39Speaker 4: By the way, it's insane to me that artists win
- 24:41Speaker 4: awards and they walk up there like, fuck, I hate
- 24:45Speaker 4: I had to come out tonight, you know what I mean?
- 24:47Speaker 4: You know what I mean, Like they walk up there
- 24:48Speaker 4: like my feet hurt, you know what I mean. It's
- 24:50Speaker 4: like I hadn't touched the ground the night. Dude, I'm
- 24:51Speaker 4: four hundred and fifty pounds and I'm fucking you know
- 24:54Speaker 4: what I mean. It's like, you know, it's and I
- 24:58Speaker 4: just want to take those moments serious. And the con
- 25:00Speaker 4: this one was even more serious because there was a
- 25:03Speaker 4: side of me and I hope I'll get in trouble
- 25:04Speaker 4: for this. Was walked in there a little pissed off,
- 25:07Speaker 4: just a little bit, you know, what I mean, just
- 25:09Speaker 4: a little chip on my shoulder because I walked up
- 25:11Speaker 4: there thinking there's no way that two hundred Americans are
- 25:15Speaker 4: dying a day, and that I am the guy that
- 25:19Speaker 4: has to come in here and bring attention to it,
- 25:21Speaker 4: Like this is a little absurd that it took me,
- 25:24Speaker 4: you know what I mean, of all people like it
- 25:27Speaker 4: should have never got to this point. So I found
- 25:29Speaker 4: myself feeling that emotion too in the moment, and I
- 25:31Speaker 4: don't know if you could see it in me, but
- 25:32Speaker 4: there was a hint of like, you don't see me
- 25:34Speaker 4: that serious that often. Yeah, you know, I'm a serious songwriter.
- 25:38Speaker 4: I'm not a serious guy, you know what I mean.
- 25:40Speaker 4: Don't take anything I say very serious. But I was
- 25:42Speaker 4: fucking see this is me walking in the court. You
- 25:44Speaker 4: see it on my face that initial clip. When I
- 25:46Speaker 4: first walked in. They had media out there trying to
- 25:48Speaker 4: talk to me, and I was first time ever I
- 25:49Speaker 4: was kind of rude to media. You see, I'm not
- 25:51Speaker 4: even looking at the yeah, And I wasn't trying to
- 25:55Speaker 4: be mean. I was just like, hey man, I'm nervous,
- 25:57Speaker 4: and I'm gonna go in here and make a fucking point.
- 26:00Speaker 1: At what point when you were having those feelings and
- 26:02Speaker 1: you sat down with this.
- 26:03Speaker 4: Is crazy that we're watching this with y'all. Dog, I
- 26:05Speaker 4: would have never dreamed this when I came on y'alls
- 26:07Speaker 4: bus the first time. If I'm just like selling two
- 26:09Speaker 4: or three thousand tickets for me, I had made it
- 26:11Speaker 4: when I got on this bus the first time. I
- 26:13Speaker 4: was like, big as I'll ever be happy about it.
- 26:15Speaker 1: You know what, I'm your catalog and I'll probably just
- 26:18Speaker 1: sell that for a thirty million dollars.
- 26:21Speaker 4: Yeah, for sure.
- 26:22Speaker 2: That is just Yeah, it's crazy, bro, And it's crazy
- 26:24Speaker 2: the how we met.
- 26:25Speaker 4: This is so perspective just sitting in here like this,
- 26:29Speaker 4: Thank you'all.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Dude.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Having a shop was the reason why.
- 26:33Speaker 4: Because here the first two podcasts every day, the first
- 26:37Speaker 4: two podcasts I ever did was a shop and y'all.
- 26:40Speaker 2: And now you've hit Rogan bro Yeah, baby.
- 26:44Speaker 4: Effect, Baby, I changed the name. It's not the experience anymore.
- 26:48Speaker 4: It's Joe Rogan Effect.
- 26:49Speaker 2: How fast is that?
- 26:52Speaker 4: It's immediate? Really, it's immediate. Yeah, it's unreal.
- 26:56Speaker 2: You've been seeing the Terrence Howard oh Man.
- 26:59Speaker 4: Listen into the first thirty minutes this morning. It starts like, so,
- 27:05Speaker 4: how did you get into acting. And I don't know
- 27:07Speaker 4: Joe knew that was the trigger phrase. No, but it's
- 27:11Speaker 4: like Joe knew the one sentenced if I'm wondering, if
- 27:16Speaker 4: Joe would have said, so, how's your morning, it would
- 27:18Speaker 4: have unlocked that. Yeah. But he's like, let me tell you,
- 27:20Speaker 4: before I was born.
- 27:23Speaker 2: It was right beneath the surface.
- 27:24Speaker 1: And the look key when he's talking, when he starts
- 27:26Speaker 1: saying like one times one is two, He's like, because
- 27:29Speaker 1: you have a multiplication is a multiple and if you
- 27:31Speaker 1: put anything in front of another, one has to get bigger. Yeah,
- 27:34Speaker 1: I'm thinking kind of makes sense. Yeah, I felt like
- 27:38Speaker 1: I put my calculator Neil gross Tyson, right, that's the scientist. Yeah,
- 27:44Speaker 1: he's like telling how Neil's coming at him and all this.
- 27:47Speaker 1: But he's talking about Adam separating and there's four edges,
- 27:50Speaker 1: but when you put eight bubbles together, I'm just like.
- 27:52Speaker 4: You know, the crazy.
- 27:53Speaker 2: He's kind of a genius man. Maybe he's a psychopath.
- 27:55Speaker 2: I don't know. I haven't picked aside yet.
- 27:57Speaker 4: It all came from the dude that played a pimp
- 27:59Speaker 4: and hustle and flo That's the part I can't get.
- 28:02Speaker 4: Like I watched this dude play a Memphis pimp and
- 28:04Speaker 4: my favorite movie. It's the only movie I've ever known.
- 28:06Speaker 2: Also, the smartest man you've ever met in your entire Yeah,
- 28:08Speaker 2: that's insane.
- 28:09Speaker 4: He's fucking Tyson Neil de grass One.
- 28:11Speaker 5: That made the biggest impact on me was when he
- 28:13Speaker 5: was the divorced father in Big Mama's House. That's like
- 28:18Speaker 5: what I think is I think of like an intimidating cat. Yeah,
- 28:21Speaker 5: like with Terrence Howard and then also in the Fighting
- 28:23Speaker 5: movie with uh Channing Tatum, right.
- 28:26Speaker 4: You know this is I don't remember this in either
- 28:28Speaker 4: one of these films. Now, I just remember Hustling Floats,
- 28:30Speaker 4: the only film I've ever remembered him being that.
- 28:34Speaker 5: He was like the he was like the scary dude
- 28:35Speaker 5: that that you were trying to predict. It's called Fighting.
- 28:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 28:38Speaker 2: I don't think i've even seen this movie.
- 28:40Speaker 4: I'm getting crucified online right now for people watching this
- 28:43Speaker 4: or like you're telling me one Terrence Howur movie.
- 28:47Speaker 2: I was kind of with you.
- 28:48Speaker 1: I don't know what this is Big Mamas House. You
- 28:50Speaker 1: should have picked up that, you should have picked up
- 28:52Speaker 1: a mama.
- 28:53Speaker 4: I just can't look at him and think of him
- 28:54Speaker 4: doing anything but going in my eyes out of seeing
- 28:57Speaker 4: some crazy things in the streets, got a couple of
- 28:59Speaker 4: girl was working on the track just for me.
- 29:03Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 29:04Speaker 4: Yeah, Oh he's an iron man. He was in crash, yo.
- 29:10Speaker 5: And the thing is what you like find yourself enjoying
- 29:13Speaker 5: about that conversation is right wrong whatever, everybody's.
- 29:17Speaker 2: Gonna argue, picking apart whatever it is, but.
- 29:19Speaker 5: His enthusiasm talking about you just know that this dude
- 29:22Speaker 5: obsesses over this stuff. Sure, so it's like it like
- 29:25Speaker 5: pulls you in when he's talking about being naked in
- 29:27Speaker 5: his dreams and accessing the future like he's low in
- 29:29Speaker 5: hot tup time machine where he can like.
- 29:31Speaker 2: That's why he's got ninety seven patents you just said.
- 29:34Speaker 4: They're like, you know what is kind of case. We
- 29:38Speaker 4: look up his patents as anybody.
- 29:40Speaker 2: Then he had a gym bag. He hands Joe a
- 29:42Speaker 2: couple and I'm just so curious what's going on in
- 29:44Speaker 2: Joe's mind, like as he's holding them, because Joe doesn't
- 29:46Speaker 2: like say a word for those first thirty minutes, first
- 29:48Speaker 2: thirty minutes, Yeah, and he just at one point, can
- 29:50Speaker 2: I just stop it there for a second, Can we.
- 29:53Speaker 4: Go back a couple of optanes here. No, I'm only
- 29:59Speaker 4: thirty minutes in. It was all terance and it was incredible.
- 30:02Speaker 4: But I'm sitting in the sign of this morning.
- 30:04Speaker 5: Yeah, we saw yourself. You got the cold tube, you
- 30:06Speaker 5: got the sauna going on. Dude, listen, Gary Breck in
- 30:09Speaker 5: your life.
- 30:10Speaker 4: Gary Breca is like helped me. I dropped those first,
- 30:14Speaker 4: like sixty some pounds effortless with him. We just did
- 30:16Speaker 4: our blood work, our first ninety day blood work cycle
- 30:19Speaker 4: together to see the differences insiling down. Hemoglobin's great, liver's
- 30:25Speaker 4: doing great, kidney's doing great, heart strong. I had obviously,
- 30:28Speaker 4: being a big guy, I had a spike protein marker
- 30:31Speaker 4: in my heart. It was just a little bit showed
- 30:33Speaker 4: a lot of inflammation. Big cars, big engine kind of thing.
- 30:36Speaker 4: But still not right. I mean it's the effects of obesity, right,
- 30:39Speaker 4: that's went down dramatically points a whole point or something
- 30:43Speaker 4: point and a half two points in ninety days. Like
- 30:46Speaker 4: I've been a pre diabetic as you could imagine, like
- 30:49Speaker 4: at a six point two forever as long as I remember,
- 30:52Speaker 4: Like how I'm not a full blown diabetic. Mind blowing
- 30:55Speaker 4: a little bit, yeah, right, So and it went from
- 30:59Speaker 4: six to two like five, nine and three months and
- 31:02Speaker 4: that just seems like three points. But that's a that's
- 31:04Speaker 4: a consistent ninety day blood marker. It's not like your instant,
- 31:10Speaker 4: you know, the prick of what's in your bloodstream? You
- 31:12Speaker 4: know that's that's a ninety day I've only had ninety
- 31:15Speaker 4: days to tell those point. What is it? A one C?
- 31:18Speaker 4: You see what I'm saying like this, I should have
- 31:20Speaker 4: just brought my blood work. We could have nerded out
- 31:21Speaker 4: about it. I'm so proud of it. What is I'm
- 31:23Speaker 4: carry my blood work around like when I was in
- 31:25Speaker 4: jail and I carried my paperwork around to prove I
- 31:27Speaker 4: didn't snitch. See I didn't snitch. Read it? Yeah, I
- 31:30Speaker 4: would never tell you dude?
- 31:31Speaker 2: What is you said? Five point eight? Six point two? Like?
- 31:34Speaker 2: What is what's the number that you're a diabetic?
- 31:36Speaker 4: Six point three?
- 31:38Speaker 2: Oh shit, you were right there.
- 31:39Speaker 4: Yeah, it's called being a pre diabetic. I've been in
- 31:41Speaker 4: a six y two for like a decade.
- 31:43Speaker 3: Right, so I'm type one diabetic?
- 31:44Speaker 4: Oh wow? Yeah the other one to you give.
- 31:46Speaker 6: Ref So your A one C? Like I check my
- 31:49Speaker 6: blood sugar. You probably see me do it before. That's
- 31:51Speaker 6: an immediate result and you know exactly in real time
- 31:54Speaker 6: what your blood sugar is. Your A one C is
- 31:57Speaker 6: essentially like what Joe is saying, like a ninety day
- 31:59Speaker 6: average of where you're at. It doesn't correlate to the
- 32:01Speaker 6: number you'd see on a glucometer. But the A one
- 32:05Speaker 6: C is crucial because like mine being type one diabetic,
- 32:09Speaker 6: it's good if I'm like seven point two and six
- 32:12Speaker 6: point two for someone who's not is like considered you're
- 32:15Speaker 6: on the verge of it. But you want to be
- 32:17Speaker 6: between five and seven, being like the like max. They
- 32:21Speaker 6: want you in between like six and seven and like
- 32:23Speaker 6: the decimal point system. But yeah, the A one C
- 32:26Speaker 6: is just like your average glucose over the last ninety days.
- 32:30Speaker 6: It gives you a good measurement for long term effects.
- 32:33Speaker 7: And doctr McPherson man, I should I should have brought
- 32:36Speaker 7: the paperwork that we've had a really cool like it's
- 32:38Speaker 7: been cool. How did you get put on like your
- 32:41Speaker 7: just one same way I did, y'all say, I get
- 32:43Speaker 7: put on with everybody.
- 32:44Speaker 4: And I learned this from Rogan being a Joe Rogan fan.
- 32:46Speaker 4: When Joe Grogan was like, man, I just get into
- 32:48Speaker 4: the stuff I'm a fan of It's like that's what
- 32:50Speaker 4: I do. I just get into the stuff i'm a
- 32:51Speaker 4: fan of. So like as soon as I started seeing
- 32:53Speaker 4: the Dane of White chet Trent change, cause it was
- 32:57Speaker 4: like clear to me because we watched Dane White fight
- 33:00Speaker 4: years before, like you know, being a fan of his.
- 33:02Speaker 4: Over the years, I've seen him go through some ship
- 33:04Speaker 4: and I've seen him look really bad, like scarily like
- 33:07Speaker 4: big and red faced, like puffy, just like scarily bad.
- 33:11Speaker 4: And I mean, y'all you hang out with him more
- 33:13Speaker 4: than I do. Man, that dude looks incredible. Bro. He
- 33:16Speaker 4: looks young, he's sharp, he hears great. Remember I used
- 33:18Speaker 4: to not hear nothing. He still can't hear that one
- 33:22Speaker 4: seems like that left ears past turn up. Yeah yeah yeah,
- 33:26Speaker 4: but he just seems really you know, just and I
- 33:28Speaker 4: started watching his transition, So I was like, man, I
- 33:30Speaker 4: should I should maybe reach out to this guy. Maybe
- 33:33Speaker 4: maybe I got some blood work that's off, maybe he
- 33:35Speaker 4: can see something. So I just cold hit him, and
- 33:38Speaker 4: lucky for me, his wife Sage, love you. Sage. Sage
- 33:43Speaker 4: is the best Sage as a country music fan, so
- 33:46Speaker 4: she knew who I was. They just loved like her
- 33:47Speaker 4: and her daughter, her daughter's Bailey's age, so they love Morgan.
- 33:50Speaker 4: They just love the whole community of country music. So
- 33:52Speaker 4: they were familiar enough with me to be like, Yo,
- 33:54Speaker 4: we want to get you on a on a thing
- 33:55Speaker 4: with him. So Gary immediately got involved and changed everything,
- 33:59Speaker 4: and I bought right into it too. It didn't take
- 34:01Speaker 4: me no time at all. Man.
- 34:03Speaker 5: That's what I'm curious about, because I mean, I've been
- 34:05Speaker 5: around you, like we've known each other for what four years? Yeah,
- 34:09Speaker 5: something like that, and I feel like there's been like
- 34:12Speaker 5: moments and phases to where you're in the middle of
- 34:14Speaker 5: doing something right.
- 34:15Speaker 2: He's showing up at a gallon of water lemon juice
- 34:18Speaker 2: in it?
- 34:19Speaker 4: Right?
- 34:19Speaker 2: Is I'm doing it Boyce.
- 34:21Speaker 5: And being super intentional with this one this time? What
- 34:24Speaker 5: feels different about it?
- 34:26Speaker 4: I think it was really the like realizing that I
- 34:32Speaker 4: just want to feel good. Like I thought. I said
- 34:36Speaker 4: this whenever we did our five K and I meant this.
- 34:38Speaker 4: I thought that every problem I had in life would
- 34:40Speaker 4: be solved if I ever found any kind of success
- 34:42Speaker 4: in stability. And then I started getting success in stability,
- 34:46Speaker 4: and I still knowe of those problems were solved, and
- 34:47Speaker 4: I know that's the old cliche thing. And trust me,
- 34:49Speaker 4: when I was broke and I heard wealthy people say this,
- 34:52Speaker 4: I would get sick. I'd be like, we don't love
- 34:54Speaker 4: your money. Give it to me, you fucking fat asshole. Right,
- 34:57Speaker 4: I'll be happy with it. You know what I'm saying.
- 34:59Speaker 4: It's like, but that's not like. Trust me, I enjoy
- 35:01Speaker 4: the things that money can do. But it was that
- 35:04Speaker 4: And hmmm, I'll let y'all know if we can keep
- 35:08Speaker 4: this part in, because if we can, this will be
- 35:10Speaker 4: the biggest clip of this show. My wife and I
- 35:13Speaker 4: are talking about having a baby, and it really made
- 35:17Speaker 4: me realize that almost forty I was like, I mean,
- 35:21Speaker 4: I gotta lived at least sixty. I gotta see this
- 35:24Speaker 4: kid into college, like, and my plan was never to
- 35:27Speaker 4: be sixty. It was to be like fifty five. I
- 35:30Speaker 4: think Garcia died in fifty six, so since I was young,
- 35:32Speaker 4: I was like, fifty six, it'd be great for me.
- 35:34Speaker 4: You know what I'm to say, it like a tween
- 35:36Speaker 4: Garcia win. I mean, you know what I'm saying there,
- 35:38Speaker 4: twenty seven that's when all the other stars died. It's
- 35:40Speaker 4: twenty seven or fifty six in celebrity world. Let me fifty. Yeah,
- 35:44Speaker 4: but now I'm like, well, I'd like to see my sixties,
- 35:47Speaker 4: you know what I mean? And uh, and that really
- 35:49Speaker 4: lit it up. And being able to see blood work
- 35:51Speaker 4: got kind of nerdy. You have do you have a constant?
- 35:53Speaker 4: Do you have a libra on you?
- 35:55Speaker 2: No?
- 35:56Speaker 3: Have you ever worn one?
- 35:57Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 35:57Speaker 3: So I were like, it's got a dex com G seven.
- 36:00Speaker 6: It's just like they're trying to find a continuous loop,
- 36:02Speaker 6: which is like a device you wear that registers your
- 36:05Speaker 6: blood sugar and then gives you the appropriate insulin. That
- 36:08Speaker 6: is essentially the cure they're looking for. But I have
- 36:12Speaker 6: a thing I can wear on me that constantly monitors it.
- 36:15Speaker 6: But I'm not wearing it right now.
- 36:16Speaker 4: I know this sounds crazy, but I just started nerding
- 36:18Speaker 4: out about it. Taylor. I got this thing, he knows
- 36:19Speaker 4: what I'm talking about, called a libra and it just
- 36:22Speaker 4: it'll show my constant blood sugar in real time. Right.
- 36:25Speaker 4: So then I started getting nerdy and being like I
- 36:27Speaker 4: would eat certain things to watch the effects of it. Yeah,
- 36:31Speaker 4: And it's little shit like that has just changed my
- 36:33Speaker 4: whole life. Now I just want to eat better because
- 36:35Speaker 4: I feel better. Like, I know that sounds so corny
- 36:37Speaker 4: and who would have thought being fucking fat my whole
- 36:39Speaker 4: life and all I would feel better if I just
- 36:42Speaker 4: ate better.
- 36:42Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's insane because it's like when I, like
- 36:47Speaker 1: when I was three hundred ten pounds, or when anybody
- 36:49Speaker 1: is overweight or anything or eats like shit and has
- 36:51Speaker 1: a good body, you it becomes your norm.
- 36:54Speaker 2: So you just think this is how normal feels.
- 36:56Speaker 1: All the time, and you really don't start realizing until
- 36:58Speaker 1: you start peeling back layers in the blood work and
- 37:00Speaker 1: eating a little bit healthy and getting that one two
- 37:02Speaker 1: three weeks of eating healthy where you're like, I can
- 37:04Speaker 1: notice an obvious difference in my mood, my cognitive function.
- 37:08Speaker 1: I can even start to see it a little bit. Hey,
- 37:09Speaker 1: that wasn't there before. That's kind of nice to have
- 37:12Speaker 1: that there. Like, you start to see.
- 37:13Speaker 2: Those things now, you start to realize what you were
- 37:15Speaker 2: dealing with wasn't normal.
- 37:17Speaker 1: The normals over here. You just have to get to
- 37:18Speaker 1: that point. And so it's I think it is one
- 37:21Speaker 1: of those things that people don't think.
- 37:22Speaker 2: About a whole lot.
- 37:23Speaker 1: There's like, oh, I always feel X, Y and Z,
- 37:25Speaker 1: not realizing it's not it doesn't have to be like that.
- 37:28Speaker 5: Yeah, but getting obsessive with the measuring, the data and
- 37:31Speaker 5: everything else. I feel you on that because then it's
- 37:33Speaker 5: like your competitive nature. It becomes like a little.
- 37:36Speaker 4: Game you start, it starts, and dude, I'm falling in
- 37:39Speaker 4: love with the clarity. I'm getting, like, like a clarity
- 37:43Speaker 4: I've never had, Like, man, I get out of that.
- 37:46Speaker 4: I wake up every morning to do anywhere from fifteen
- 37:48Speaker 4: to thirty minutes in a sauna, and then I immediately
- 37:51Speaker 4: do six minutes in the cold water, and then I
- 37:53Speaker 4: go for my walk or go from my swim. It's
- 37:54Speaker 4: the first thing I do every morning, and I'm thinking
- 37:57Speaker 4: so clear in that sauna. Man, I've only been up
- 37:59Speaker 4: six to seven minutes and I'm just already just cooking.
- 38:02Speaker 4: It's just man, I've just never felt more fucking focused
- 38:05Speaker 4: and dialed in. I get to bring the sauna and
- 38:07Speaker 4: the cold plunge on the road.
- 38:08Speaker 2: Now, no ship, no shop.
- 38:09Speaker 4: Yeah, because you know how dang is. I told Dane,
- 38:11Speaker 4: I was like, hey, how do you carry your mobile sauna?
- 38:13Speaker 4: Well he just sends me one already in a case.
- 38:16Speaker 4: You know what I'm just saying. That's what's like that
- 38:18Speaker 4: real rich, It's just like, yo, no problem, will send
- 38:21Speaker 4: it straight over. Yeah, and they literally I got one
- 38:24Speaker 4: in storages now it just follows me.
- 38:25Speaker 2: It's great for real, that is what's like.
- 38:29Speaker 4: And Gary berekas have y'all been with me? Y'all should
- 38:31Speaker 4: funk with him, just y'all should have him on.
- 38:33Speaker 2: Yeah, we would love to have him on.
- 38:34Speaker 1: We've kind of we went back and forth in I
- 38:36Speaker 1: think we've been out to him for yeah, like January
- 38:39Speaker 1: when we were kind of talking back and forth, and
- 38:41Speaker 1: then he went on Rogan and then he went on
- 38:42Speaker 1: nelk Boys, and then he went on all these other shows,
- 38:45Speaker 1: and so his people kind of reached out with like, well,
- 38:47Speaker 1: what are your guys's numbers? What's going on here? And
- 38:50Speaker 1: I think that's when that's what kind went the red
- 38:51Speaker 1: tape hits. Because I've been around Gary on three separate
- 38:55Speaker 1: occasions now every single time. I've enjoyed him every single time.
- 38:57Speaker 1: He's just a wealth of knowledge, great personality, Like he's
- 39:00Speaker 1: just and he seems like intentionally speaks to you, like
- 39:03Speaker 1: he's not trying to think about the next thing he
- 39:04Speaker 1: has to do. He's right there with you. So I
- 39:05Speaker 1: really enjoy him. One person he's had on his show,
- 39:09Speaker 1: his podcast Superhuman podcast or whatever is Gabriel Lyon who
- 39:13Speaker 1: Will and I work with and she's in She's in
- 39:15Speaker 1: the same world. She does very similar blood tests. She
- 39:18Speaker 1: you know, you zoom with her and all that stuff,
- 39:20Speaker 1: and it's it is fascinating stuff to kind of feel
- 39:23Speaker 1: like find that little edge of where you can kind
- 39:24Speaker 1: of get better and you know what your body can
- 39:27Speaker 1: process what it can't process. And because when we get older,
- 39:31Speaker 1: I mean, dude, I'm thirty two and I'm like, you know,
- 39:35Speaker 1: I got a shoulder the knee that my fingers are
- 39:38Speaker 1: facing different directions, and he's kind of worry like, now
- 39:40Speaker 1: that that part of my life is over, I want
- 39:42Speaker 1: to make sure that cognitively I can handle stuff and
- 39:44Speaker 1: I can you know, be old enough and I don't
- 39:47Speaker 1: like run around my kids when they're older and all
- 39:49Speaker 1: all that stuff. You really start to think about future
- 39:51Speaker 1: stuff that you do right now.
- 39:53Speaker 2: It's tough.
- 39:54Speaker 4: Was that something you thought about when you got the
- 39:56Speaker 4: weight off? Like? Have you have you already talked about
- 40:00Speaker 4: this a bunch on this podcast?
- 40:01Speaker 2: I don't make you no, I haven't really talked.
- 40:03Speaker 1: We We'll just kind of mentioned, Hey, Taylor lost a
- 40:05Speaker 1: lot of weight, and I say yeah, Like we haven't
- 40:06Speaker 1: talked about that, but like I noticed like back pain
- 40:11Speaker 1: or sleeping on my side on my shoulder were hurt
- 40:13Speaker 1: in the morning. And now that my shoulder doesn't really
- 40:16Speaker 1: hurt the more, in my back doesn't really hurt anymore.
- 40:17Speaker 1: Like there's things that I just thought were normal because oh,
- 40:21Speaker 1: I'm playing football, I'm lifting weights through. You play through everything,
- 40:23Speaker 1: you play through everything, and you start to get you
- 40:25Speaker 1: start to lose when you're like, oh damn, like this
- 40:28Speaker 1: already feels so much better to me, right that I'm
- 40:30Speaker 1: like two sixty two fifty five.
- 40:32Speaker 2: Yeah, and it is. It's a it's a noticeable difference.
- 40:35Speaker 4: Was it intentional though?
- 40:37Speaker 2: To lose that weight?
- 40:38Speaker 1: When I knew that the writing was on the wall
- 40:40Speaker 1: and I was going to get cut and you know,
- 40:42Speaker 1: the knee thing happened and all that, I was like,
- 40:44Speaker 1: let me, you know, I'm just probably talking eat a
- 40:46Speaker 1: little bit id yeah.
- 40:48Speaker 2: Get jacky, yeah, get yeah twenty four.
- 40:50Speaker 1: See I got I was like a body type where
- 40:53Speaker 1: when I was at my playing weight, it was, you know,
- 40:55Speaker 1: three shakes a day, there were twelve hundred calories, three meals,
- 40:58Speaker 1: and I'm losing five pounds at night, like I always
- 41:01Speaker 1: had to be a guy that had to gain weight.
- 41:02Speaker 2: So when I kind of just ate normal for a
- 41:04Speaker 2: little bit, it just flew off.
- 41:06Speaker 1: Yeah, I lost like thirty forty pounds in a hurry
- 41:08Speaker 1: to the point will say, hey, you're starting a little sickly.
- 41:12Speaker 2: Like me right now. Yeah, it was everything all right
- 41:15Speaker 2: a little while.
- 41:15Speaker 1: It was you know, you kind of just live, And
- 41:18Speaker 1: I've never lived like that before in sports, where.
- 41:20Speaker 2: You like live and you're just eating when you're hungry.
- 41:23Speaker 1: And that's it. You're not like shoving a meal. Like
- 41:26Speaker 1: when in the high school we joked about this. I
- 41:27Speaker 1: would look up at three in the morning just have
- 41:29Speaker 1: a protein chink wow, and I go back to sleep,
- 41:31Speaker 1: not realizing that's actually horrible for you to do. But
- 41:33Speaker 1: you would do shit like when you're you're like trying
- 41:35Speaker 1: to put on the weight get process. Yeah, to get
- 41:37Speaker 1: out of college. But you you've you can obviously see
- 41:40Speaker 1: your body is already changing. What's your now that you
- 41:43Speaker 1: see that this is achievable? What is the goal for you?
- 41:46Speaker 4: I'm doing it in little goals. So the five k
- 41:49Speaker 4: B I made was my first one, and I needed
- 41:50Speaker 4: that because between us, I came out of the gun
- 41:52Speaker 4: hard for about ninety days. Yeah, and about twenty five
- 41:56Speaker 4: days before the five K started, I just fell off
- 41:58Speaker 4: the rails, really, yeah, just gave up all that work,
- 42:01Speaker 4: ate like shit a little bit on and off, had
- 42:03Speaker 4: a couple of big drinking benders, just kind of went
- 42:04Speaker 4: back to old habits.
- 42:05Speaker 5: You think, oh, it's only a few hours that I'm
- 42:07Speaker 5: doing today, Like, no, that one.
- 42:09Speaker 4: I just thought about schedule. I just I don't have
- 42:11Speaker 4: no excuses. The schedule swallowed me and I'd learned from it.
- 42:13Speaker 4: I won't do it again. But I woke up the
- 42:15Speaker 4: day of the five K like I'm not as prepared
- 42:17Speaker 4: for this as I was three weeks ago. It sucks,
- 42:20Speaker 4: and I still feeling it's a tough feeling. And you
- 42:22Speaker 4: show up and you still do it because you know
- 42:24Speaker 4: I could, because I got in better shape and I
- 42:25Speaker 4: did lose a lot of weight and I was feeling better.
- 42:28Speaker 4: But I had a moment then where kind of refired
- 42:30Speaker 4: me up and I was like, all right, now I
- 42:31Speaker 4: want to do another five K. I want to do
- 42:32Speaker 4: it around Thanksgiving, and I want to do it at
- 42:36Speaker 4: a constant job. This right here was at a brisk
- 42:39Speaker 4: power walk. I'm not I'm not embarrassed of my mouth minute.
- 42:43Speaker 4: It was like eighteen nineteen minute miles, which for me,
- 42:46Speaker 4: when a guy that started at five hundred and something
- 42:49Speaker 4: pounds and couldn't walk a mile, felt great about that. Yeah,
- 42:52Speaker 4: and now I'd like to get it down to like
- 42:54Speaker 4: sixteen fifteen and a little jog, really kind of slow,
- 42:58Speaker 4: steady jog, and then go to the K the Two
- 43:01Speaker 4: Bears five k next year and put up a real
- 43:03Speaker 4: fucking time twice like Burt did. Burt did it the
- 43:07Speaker 4: first time and then went back and did it with me.
- 43:10Speaker 2: Really, And if.
- 43:10Speaker 4: This goes the way I wanted to, I am dragging
- 43:13Speaker 4: Burt Chrischer to do a half marathon next fall. That's okay.
- 43:17Speaker 4: I like that, and I love saying it here because
- 43:20Speaker 4: I said I was gonna do the five k on
- 43:21Speaker 4: NELK and fucking went and did it and lost a
- 43:24Speaker 4: lot of weight. So y'all hold me to this, just
- 43:26Speaker 4: like y'all helped me do it and I had to
- 43:29Speaker 4: show up in May and fucking sweat my balls off
- 43:32Speaker 4: in passa data. Yeah.
- 43:34Speaker 5: Any kind of I feel like to probably remotivates you
- 43:36Speaker 5: because you're getting around all your boys and everybody who
- 43:38Speaker 5: was kind of either preparing for it or they're in
- 43:40Speaker 5: the middle of doing something for themselves. You're just kind
- 43:42Speaker 5: of like Burt doing it twice gott second time.
- 43:46Speaker 4: It made me feel great and it was cool to
- 43:48Speaker 4: see other how many other big guys did it because
- 43:50Speaker 4: of bird are because of me. Foley was there from
- 43:53Speaker 4: you know what I'm talking about, a RU garbage podcast.
- 43:55Speaker 4: He walked it with us. He's a very robust man,
- 43:58Speaker 4: you know what I'm you know, It's like he encouraged
- 44:01Speaker 4: he inspired me because I kept looking at him like
- 44:04Speaker 4: we're about equally yoked here. It was like, this is fair.
- 44:11Speaker 4: My only goal was like not to let him smoke
- 44:14Speaker 4: me quiet and I bet he quietly. He was like, similar, dude,
- 44:19Speaker 4: starts jogging right now, I'm gonna die because I'm going
- 44:23Speaker 4: I'll faint, you know what I'm saying. Before I left,
- 44:27Speaker 4: I'm sure he looked at me. That's how fat people
- 44:29Speaker 4: size each other. I'm sure he looked at me, and
- 44:31Speaker 4: I was like, fly, let's stake together so we can
- 44:33Speaker 4: control our own pace. I kind of I roped him
- 44:36Speaker 4: in immediately. I'm like, come on, be my guy.
- 44:39Speaker 1: You just took off at the start. Yeah, I got
- 44:44Speaker 1: a ways to go.
- 44:49Speaker 2: That's awesome. That is cool. You're knocking those things off,
- 44:52Speaker 2: no problem.
- 44:53Speaker 4: You feel good, man, And I do feel good. My
- 44:55Speaker 4: testosterones going up, my my labs. As you could expect,
- 44:58Speaker 4: we're bad, you know what I mean, they just wasn't good.
- 45:00Speaker 4: It's all every level that could be off and O
- 45:02Speaker 4: beast man as you could expect them to balance, and
- 45:04Speaker 4: some of that stuff out just helped so much.
- 45:06Speaker 1: Were they they're obviously expected to be bad. Were they
- 45:08Speaker 1: as bad as you thought they would be? Or were
- 45:10Speaker 1: there a couple of silver linings and they're like okay, yeah,
- 45:13Speaker 1: all right.
- 45:14Speaker 4: The kidney and the liver surprised me. Yeah, they surprised
- 45:17Speaker 4: everybody for what it was. It was big shock. You
- 45:19Speaker 4: know what I'm saying. You should Everybody was sure they
- 45:22Speaker 4: didn't want to read that.
- 45:23Speaker 2: Looking got to do that again. Yeah, you're gonna go
- 45:27Speaker 2: get a second opinion.
- 45:30Speaker 4: Even Garrett was like, I don't want to tell you this,
- 45:32Speaker 4: but your kidney's a liver. Incredible, you know what I
- 45:35Speaker 4: was like.
- 45:36Speaker 5: But that was about the twenty five day out from
- 45:38Speaker 5: two bears. Mark, Yeah, you heard that good, pretty good
- 45:43Speaker 5: right now? Looking for an assistant with your credit card?
- 45:46Speaker 5: But can't get a hold of anyone. Luckily, with twenty

- 46:13Speaker 4: I've been doing pretty good too, man. When's the last time, y'all.
- 46:15Speaker 2: One on ship Spring Tour? M Spring Tour.
- 46:20Speaker 5: You get on the road, you do a show like
- 46:23Speaker 5: you have some tequila soda to take the edge off
- 46:26Speaker 5: before you, you know, go out there and do your
- 46:29Speaker 5: thing with the fans and stuff, and then it just
- 46:31Speaker 5: like kicks out like a motivator.
- 46:33Speaker 2: Yeah. And by the end of the show, you're like,
- 46:35Speaker 2: we should just drink all night.
- 46:36Speaker 4: Yeah, y'all up people to drink with. I've had I've
- 46:39Speaker 4: had a good y'all. I swear to God a lot
- 46:43Speaker 4: of people. You're a lot. I've got you puke and
- 46:45Speaker 4: drunk and had a blast doing it. You were so
- 46:48Speaker 4: fun with Yes, you are so funny at home, and
- 46:52Speaker 4: I like Taylor because Taylor drinks like me. You see
- 46:55Speaker 4: it in his eyes. There's a switch that happens where
- 46:57Speaker 4: he's intually like I'm doing this until I pass out. Yeah,
- 47:00Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying.
- 47:01Speaker 1: And it's also a goal, like if I'm gonna get
- 47:03Speaker 1: this fucked up everyone else around me.
- 47:06Speaker 4: This ship sinks like the tat we play music to
- 47:09Speaker 4: the death.
- 47:10Speaker 2: Mother, women and children can live first, the rest of
- 47:12Speaker 2: the men. You're dying. That is the end of it.
- 47:16Speaker 2: I know it is. I'll try to sneak his will.
- 47:18Speaker 2: Will Will unders.
- 47:19Speaker 1: Drunk Will understands when it's time to stop, but drunk
- 47:23Speaker 1: Taylor will not let drunk Will stop. Hey, let's have one,
- 47:27Speaker 1: and I'll have one if you have one. I've I've
- 47:29Speaker 1: taken a couple of waters while he's taking some tequila.
- 47:31Speaker 2: I knew.
- 47:35Speaker 4: To the bartend.
- 47:36Speaker 5: Hey give me that cup you just threw away, And
- 47:41Speaker 5: they're kind of like.
- 47:43Speaker 1: Four or five ahead of Will. I'm like, no fucking chance,
- 47:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna let this guy. And then the next day
- 47:47Speaker 1: it's like you pretty fed up last night, weren't you. No, no, no, no,
- 47:50Speaker 1: we're both gonna be Hey, you were pretty fucked up.
- 47:52Speaker 2: I'll be looking at tailor in the face like I
- 47:54Speaker 2: know you're fucking lying to me. You just line to
- 47:59Speaker 2: your face.
- 48:00Speaker 4: I'm taking the water trick. I like that was that
- 48:02Speaker 4: because the trick you got the water because I've been
- 48:07Speaker 4: in a situation where you're like me, I'm like the
- 48:09Speaker 4: host kind of so like a group of people coming,
- 48:10Speaker 4: I'm like, we should take a shot, right, the next
- 48:12Speaker 4: group comes in, I'm like, we should take a shot.
- 48:14Speaker 4: And then Will comes over and Wills like we should
- 48:16Speaker 4: take a shot, And I'm like, I just took three shots, right,
- 48:18Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying.
- 48:19Speaker 2: No, Jelly just walks behind you. Hey for the boys, Bubba.
- 48:23Speaker 4: Doubt. That is a little blackout drunk grimlin especially only
- 48:30Speaker 4: comedy clubs. We're safe there. It's the last safe Frontier.
- 48:34Speaker 1: June twelfth, Dude Live show in Nashville. Man, here here,
- 48:37Speaker 1: what's what we're doing?
- 48:38Speaker 4: Let me check it.
- 48:39Speaker 1: And you know, last time we were in the live
- 48:40Speaker 1: show when you came on, we got fucked up to
- 48:42Speaker 1: like midnight.
- 48:44Speaker 2: Yeah, that was a good night. That was a good
- 48:46Speaker 2: one night.
- 48:47Speaker 4: That was a great night.
- 48:48Speaker 2: He's tried to get me at the softball game did
- 48:50Speaker 2: I remember we were we were saying to the crowd
- 48:52Speaker 2: and came up.
- 48:55Speaker 1: It was like, oh, tells out a big lure, and
- 48:57Speaker 1: the whole crowd lost, and I was like, God, damn it,
- 48:59Speaker 1: when's the of the twelfth twelve?
- 49:04Speaker 2: We can't teach them too? No, no, no, no, I'll tell
- 49:06Speaker 2: you what I do.
- 49:07Speaker 1: Love you saying maybe, because what I've noticed with this
- 49:11Speaker 1: beer Olympics thing is everyone wants to say yes first,
- 49:13Speaker 1: everyone wants to come in by absolutely, and then schedules
- 49:16Speaker 1: getting the way. So the fact that you said maybe
- 49:18Speaker 1: made me feel a whole lot better. When that note
- 49:19Speaker 1: comes for sure that this conversation, I'm like, man, I
- 49:23Speaker 1: feel real good about that. No, when it comes back,
- 49:25Speaker 1: I get it. And you knew you were gonna be
- 49:27Speaker 1: a little bit busy what I'm about.
- 49:29Speaker 4: I got you. It looks like, so you've.
- 49:32Speaker 2: Gotten to do American idol in the voice which one
- 49:35Speaker 2: you prefer?
- 49:37Speaker 4: Thank you will? What a friend? I think that was?
- 49:41Speaker 2: Of course you came from JP, didn't it.
- 49:43Speaker 4: Yeah, you're such a good friend. You rebroke up Florida
- 49:46Speaker 4: Georgia line. Any chance we had of that, I went.
- 49:56Speaker 2: Special. Maybe it's just started something, hopefully I mean, you
- 50:00Speaker 2: want them to get back together.
- 50:01Speaker 1: They're putting absolute banger after banger out and behind the
- 50:05Speaker 1: scenes it was way worse than it wasn't.
- 50:08Speaker 5: So after American Idol and The Voice, where's your alliance
- 50:11Speaker 5: with BK and.
- 50:15Speaker 4: Who I'm voting for? I can't vote That right has
- 50:24Speaker 4: been that right has been restricted. I loved the I
- 50:29Speaker 4: love the Voice. I love them both. Obviously the political answer,
- 50:33Speaker 4: I do love them.
- 50:35Speaker 2: Some differences experiencing them both.
- 50:37Speaker 4: I've had more time with American Idol, so I've done
- 50:41Speaker 4: more with them, so by default I know more about everything,
- 50:44Speaker 4: their production crew. It's obviously I'm gonna it's hard. Because
- 50:49Speaker 4: Reeba was at the Voice now Dan and Share at
- 50:51Speaker 4: the Voice too. It was easy even just a year
- 50:53Speaker 4: or two ago, because it was like all the homies
- 50:55Speaker 4: an American Idol. Luke Bryan's at American Idol, Lionel Richie
- 50:58Speaker 4: loves me. I fucking love him. Katy Perry is the
- 51:00Speaker 4: coolest person ever. By the way, Katy Perry is a boss.
- 51:04Speaker 4: She is so gangster. But the Voice now with reebund Dan, dude,
- 51:09Speaker 4: it's Dan and say, it's really cool over there. I
- 51:11Speaker 4: got to mentor at American Idol, though, and that was different.
- 51:17Speaker 4: I spent a whole day and I could not believe
- 51:20Speaker 4: how excited I was to do it, Like when I
- 51:22Speaker 4: started like getting to hear their stories and seeing that
- 51:25Speaker 4: I could actually help because I just assumed, dude, if
- 51:27Speaker 4: you've made it to the top twenty four on American Idol,
- 51:29Speaker 4: I don't got much advice for you, Like what do
- 51:33Speaker 4: I know that you haven't figured out? You know what
- 51:35Speaker 4: I'm saying, I go out here and sing off key
- 51:37Speaker 4: right now, I'll bombit. You know what I'm saying. I'm
- 51:43Speaker 4: two drinks away from going completely tone deaf in this
- 51:45Speaker 4: old family. You know what I'm just saying, I don't
- 51:47Speaker 4: think I can help. But when I realized that they
- 51:49Speaker 4: were young and had never even some of these people
- 51:52Speaker 4: had like never left their home state and here they
- 51:54Speaker 4: are in Hawaii and they're fixing to go live in
- 51:56Speaker 4: LA for three weeks with a bunch of strangers and
- 51:59Speaker 4: battled it out on now TV, I was like, I
- 52:00Speaker 4: can help these people, you know what I mean. It's
- 52:03Speaker 4: like you think about how that's a moment in their
- 52:04Speaker 4: life that they'll tell to their great grandchildren that they're alive,
- 52:08Speaker 4: you know, what I mean, whether they came in first
- 52:09Speaker 4: or fifteenth, that's a wild story that I'm getting to
- 52:12Speaker 4: be a part of. So by default, probably American idol.
- 52:18Speaker 1: Answer, we got them, Yeah, DMZ Jolley Rell hates the voice.
- 52:24Speaker 4: And I love the voice.
- 52:25Speaker 5: You've always enjoyed that kind of stuff though, because you
- 52:27Speaker 5: you'll go to the local juvenile and everything else. I
- 52:29Speaker 5: feel like, and you can crag me if I'm wrong,
- 52:31Speaker 5: but it almost you strike me as somebody who there's
- 52:34Speaker 5: been so many people who's imprinted on you that when
- 52:36Speaker 5: now that you have the platform and the voice that
- 52:38Speaker 5: you do, you know you can have that same effect
- 52:40Speaker 5: on a young you.
- 52:41Speaker 4: For sure, for sure. And I also draw from the
- 52:44Speaker 4: times that nobody was there, Like the juvenile thing is
- 52:47Speaker 4: a stroke because the only people that came to see
- 52:49Speaker 4: us when I was in juvenile the Gideons. Are you
- 52:51Speaker 4: familiar with the Gideon organization? Have you ever been to
- 52:54Speaker 4: a hotel and open up a drawer and there was
- 52:55Speaker 4: a Bible? Yeah, that's the Gideons. So what they do
- 53:00Speaker 4: is they mass produce Bibles and give them away free.
- 53:02Speaker 4: They give them the people incarcerated, hotels, motels across America.
- 53:06Speaker 4: They just give away bibles. That's kind of there, and
- 53:07Speaker 4: it's a led by kind of a bunch of older men.
- 53:10Speaker 4: But they were just coming to give us bibles once
- 53:12Speaker 4: a month, the New Testaments because they fit in our pocket,
- 53:17Speaker 4: and which I appreciate because I read the Bible because
- 53:20Speaker 4: of that. But nobody ever came in that like spoke like,
- 53:23Speaker 4: since I partner with this juvenile up here, Joiner Lucas
- 53:28Speaker 4: machine gun Kelly, Uh, we've had titan players go de
- 53:32Speaker 4: hop hit me. He wants to go. Y'all are waiting
- 53:34Speaker 4: on me to send y'all a date right now. You
- 53:36Speaker 4: hit me about that more than anybody will about to
- 53:38Speaker 4: hit you. And d hop do hop hits me a lot,
- 53:40Speaker 4: like yo, when am I going to the juvenile?
- 53:42Speaker 3: Like?
- 53:42Speaker 4: It's so cool to see that, you know. It's like, man,
- 53:45Speaker 4: we never had nobody that cool come talk to us
- 53:47Speaker 4: like me and MGK went in there the other day
- 53:49Speaker 4: and played spades for four hours with every unit no
- 53:54Speaker 4: clean house, running dimes on the doll. You know what
- 53:57Speaker 4: I mean. It was awesome, And it's like the coolest
- 53:59Speaker 4: thing is most of these IDs in here don't know
- 54:00Speaker 4: either one of us. Really, they might've known him because
- 54:03Speaker 4: he's like uber famous. So they know me because I'm
- 54:05Speaker 4: local in the studios named after me, in the facility.
- 54:07Speaker 4: You know what I'm just saying. Yeah, they're not like Jelly.
- 54:10Speaker 4: They're not there banging save me, you know what I'm saying.
- 54:13Speaker 4: It's not a big hitting there. You never know. You
- 54:15Speaker 4: know what I'm saying. But they watch me on TV
- 54:17Speaker 4: now when I have an Awards show, they watch. That's
- 54:19Speaker 4: why I shouted them out the CFTs. I need they
- 54:21Speaker 4: be watching. But yeah, so it's I go in there
- 54:24Speaker 4: because I just want them to see people that I
- 54:26Speaker 4: don't know. Man, it be really just to see things
- 54:29Speaker 4: you don't see before, like just people to go in
- 54:30Speaker 4: there and treat them like humans or kids again, Like
- 54:33Speaker 4: I'm just going to treat them like kids. I go
- 54:34Speaker 4: play spades and talk shit to them, you know what
- 54:36Speaker 4: i mean. Like it's fun. You know, that's what they need.
- 54:39Speaker 4: We forget their kids. And you know the coolest thing
- 54:41Speaker 4: is Judge Calloway has been coming in there. She went
- 54:44Speaker 4: in there when we did the songwriting program and wrote
- 54:45Speaker 4: songs with the kids. She went in there when I
- 54:47Speaker 4: went to see him last time to say hi and
- 54:49Speaker 4: watch his play spades and put judge.
- 54:52Speaker 2: Judge.
- 54:52Speaker 4: Judge Calloway is one of the judges at Juvenile. Okay,
- 54:56Speaker 4: you know how awesome that is for them to see
- 54:58Speaker 4: her being human, not this godlike figure and a gown
- 55:02Speaker 4: and a gabble. And it's so good for her to
- 55:04Speaker 4: see them be sixteen, right, You know what I mean
- 55:07Speaker 4: civil empathy.
- 55:09Speaker 1: I see all the people walking through her door every day.
- 55:11Speaker 1: Eventually you get numb to it.
- 55:12Speaker 4: Yeah, and all you see, all you see, you don't
- 55:14Speaker 4: see the agent think I'm as a kid. You see
- 55:15Speaker 4: specially aggravated robbery, you see attempted homicide, you see their charges.
- 55:20Speaker 4: Because this juvenile down here is only houses serious crimes.
- 55:25Speaker 4: It's like when I take you all there, you'll see
- 55:26Speaker 4: there's kids and they're looking at twenty thirty, forty fifty years.
- 55:29Speaker 4: It's crazy. No sad, it's really sad. It's really dark.
- 55:33Speaker 4: That's why I was for so many year. I spent
- 55:35Speaker 4: years in that same facility.
- 55:36Speaker 2: Music City Miracle, you watch it there.
- 55:38Speaker 4: I had the funniest moment in there last week, Tailor.
- 55:40Speaker 4: I've talked to this kid and we're doing the music
- 55:42Speaker 4: program and Ernest is up there singing or something, and
- 55:44Speaker 4: he goes why you do this? And I go why
- 55:47Speaker 4: do I do what? He goes, why do you come
- 55:48Speaker 4: here and sing for us? And I was like, because
- 55:50Speaker 4: I was here. He was like, oh, you were somewhere
- 55:52Speaker 4: like this, and I was like, no, I was here.
- 55:55Speaker 4: He was like, like in a juvenile or a group
- 55:57Speaker 4: home or something. I was like, here, motherfucker, right here,
- 56:00Speaker 4: in this kitchen right here. I worked in there. I
- 56:03Speaker 4: served food. A guy named Oscar was the kitchen. Did
- 56:06Speaker 4: I was in these sales? He was like, oh you
- 56:08Speaker 4: were here. I was like, yeah, man here And instantly
- 56:12Speaker 4: I watched him look at me a little differently, you know,
- 56:14Speaker 4: because it wasn't like I was from Minnesota or somewhere else,
- 56:17Speaker 4: like oh no, no, I was in this juvenile you know
- 56:19Speaker 4: what I mean. Once he got it took him so long.
- 56:21Speaker 4: It also made me realize, you know, that's also so
- 56:23Speaker 4: humbling for me. I'm going and serving dudes really like
- 56:26Speaker 4: I said, they know me, but they don't. Wasn't this
- 56:28Speaker 4: cool When I brought Joinning Lucas. That was a big deal.
- 56:31Speaker 4: When I facetimed NBA young boy in there, they lost
- 56:33Speaker 4: their shit walks in They're like, whatever, you want to
- 56:36Speaker 4: play spades? Old dude, man, how's your case is that area?
- 56:40Speaker 1: Is that all pretty much Nashville and Tennessee.
- 56:42Speaker 4: Yeah, it's all Nashville. You have a couple like from Columbia.
- 56:45Speaker 4: If they can't house them up there, uh, gallating, if
- 56:48Speaker 4: they can't hold them up there, if it's a serious
- 56:50Speaker 4: charge from like a county over.
- 56:51Speaker 1: When you go when you go there, is it pretty
- 56:54Speaker 1: much looked the exact same or there's been some upgrades,
- 56:57Speaker 1: Like how does it feel walking back into that building
- 56:59Speaker 1: after you exist so much time in there?
- 57:01Speaker 2: Exact sam? Is that a good thing? Or about that?
- 57:04Speaker 4: It's kind of sad. Yeah, it's kind of sad. The
- 57:06Speaker 4: good news is they've they've been approved because of the
- 57:09Speaker 4: stadium moving all that land's getting brought down eventually, so
- 57:13Speaker 4: in the next three years they're going to move to
- 57:14Speaker 4: a new juvenile too nice, which is cool because the
- 57:19Speaker 4: county has agreed to let me get in early and
- 57:21Speaker 4: build the studio in it from the beginning, so I'll
- 57:23Speaker 4: be able to build a real statum because right now
- 57:25Speaker 4: we've had to put a studio in a concrete and
- 57:27Speaker 4: steal closet in every unit, so I've had to build
- 57:30Speaker 4: like five of them. There we're here. I'm gonna be
- 57:32Speaker 4: able to build like real educational unit and education. I'm
- 57:35Speaker 4: gonna be able to dump a couple million dollars into
- 57:37Speaker 4: this place and really build it up.
- 57:38Speaker 2: That's cool, man. Yeah, you bought up that new stadium.
- 57:41Speaker 2: First concert, new stadium, jelly roll.
- 57:44Speaker 4: I have a twenty twenty seven. Can I tell you
- 57:46Speaker 4: the craziest dream I have? This is like me dreaming big.
- 57:51Speaker 4: I dreamed to be the last show at Nissan Stadium
- 57:55Speaker 4: and the first show at Nissan Stadium.
- 57:58Speaker 2: That would be hype as fun.
- 58:00Speaker 4: That wouldn't that be? Like? How much more poetic could
- 58:03Speaker 4: it be for the local kid?
- 58:04Speaker 1: You know what?
- 58:05Speaker 4: I tell you? What my big You know? You know
- 58:09Speaker 4: I'm doing the stadium for CMAS this year Saturday Night,
- 58:11Speaker 4: the Saturday Night CMA. I'll do the thirty minute set.
- 58:14Speaker 4: But I think we're gonna swing for it next year. Really,
- 58:18Speaker 4: that's breaking news.
- 58:18Speaker 2: To And that's my last concert.
- 58:21Speaker 4: That's what everybody who wants to know. Why I didn't
- 58:23Speaker 4: do Nashville this year wasn't because of the c MA fest.
- 58:26Speaker 4: It was because I think next year I want to
- 58:28Speaker 4: really go for it.
- 58:29Speaker 2: If you're creating a lineup for that last one in
- 58:32Speaker 2: the old Kning Sound Stadium. Who's a lineup? Oh goodness,
- 58:36Speaker 2: great questions.
- 58:39Speaker 4: It's like, who are the ideal is? You gotta bring
- 58:43Speaker 4: Ernest God because he's a Nashville guy. That's like a
- 58:46Speaker 4: must do. You know what you do? You got to
- 58:47Speaker 4: bring all the Nashville guys to some capacity. So like Tenpenny,
- 58:53Speaker 4: Chris Young, you know what I mean, like Dustin Lynch.
- 58:56Speaker 4: The obvious is like all the Middle Tennessee guys have
- 58:59Speaker 4: got to come straight in, you know what I mean? Yeah,
- 59:01Speaker 4: you know who's from Middle Tennessee. I didn't know it.
- 59:03Speaker 4: And I was so embarrassed by this. The singer from
- 59:07Speaker 4: Lady A Hillary.
- 59:09Speaker 1: Oh for real, she grew up in Donaldson. Yeah, I
- 59:12Speaker 1: have no that's over my before. They've been cleaning up
- 59:15Speaker 1: for about two decades.
- 59:18Speaker 4: Yeah, there a huge deal. Yeah, I believe her name
- 59:22Speaker 4: is Hill. The three of them, yea, her name is Hillary.
- 59:24Speaker 4: I'm sure I'm not butchering it. And uh yeah she's uh,
- 59:29Speaker 4: she's from Nashville too. And she came to me the
- 59:30Speaker 4: other day about that and just kind of we got
- 59:32Speaker 4: to really talk about some Nashville stuff. So I do
- 59:34Speaker 4: those then I would extend to the Tennessee portion of it.
- 59:37Speaker 4: So I would love to have I don't know, if
- 59:38Speaker 4: I blow this could be some of my tricks. So
- 59:40Speaker 4: I can't give all these away. Yeah right, But I
- 59:42Speaker 4: would reach out to my Memphis friends. I would have
- 59:45Speaker 4: a couple of my Memphis friends come up and be
- 59:47Speaker 4: surprise guests. And I'd have a couple of my East
- 59:49Speaker 4: Tennessee friends be surprised guests. Okay, I would reach throughout
- 59:52Speaker 4: the state for sure. I'd make it a Tennessee thing.
- 59:54Speaker 5: And I love it too because the people who are
- 59:56Speaker 5: day one jelly roll people, they're already like he's talking
- 59:59Speaker 5: about so and so, talking about so and so.
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: Yeah, and I have no idea who stopping out check
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: You have any idea what from either Sense or Memphis?
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: Oh no, I mean I can. I can probably guess.
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: On who he's guests the day on.
- 1:00:15Speaker 6: I was just thinking about that fucking freestyle you have
- 1:00:18Speaker 6: you go my po ask.
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: I swear to God that freestyle.
- 1:00:23Speaker 6: I mean, my friends are watching it two weekends ago,
- 1:00:25Speaker 6: like two am.
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: We're just like all stand up, but like it's so good.
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: I'm proud of that freestyle stands the test of time.
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: For the record.
- 1:00:36Speaker 4: All of my old music did not stand the test
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: of time. Record freestyle did, Dude.
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: What was that transition like going from rap to country?
- 1:00:48Speaker 4: It was easy because I was just starting to sing
- 1:00:49Speaker 4: a lot more and play the guitar, and I was
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: just I was growing as a human and as a man.
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: And I don't want to say I was running out
- 1:00:55Speaker 4: of subject matter, but I really felt what Andre said
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: when he was like, man, and I think he's in
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: his fifties now, late forties or whatever it is, He's like,
- 1:01:03Speaker 4: what am I gonna rap about? You know, we're just
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: understand we've never hip hop's like the UFC. It's not
- 1:01:13Speaker 4: as old as we think it is. Like we look
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: at the UFC, like this has been around one hundred years.
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: People have been fighting forever, yeah, but the UFC has
- 1:01:19Speaker 4: really been around thirty, yeah, twenty five something Like if
- 1:01:23Speaker 4: you compared to how long football's been around, people have
- 1:01:26Speaker 4: been throwing leather balls and calling it touchdowns, you know
- 1:01:29Speaker 4: what I mean. Like in comparison, the same thing happened
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: with hip hop, Like we don't know what that tailwind
- 1:01:34Speaker 4: looks like. We're just watching our first real generation of
- 1:01:38Speaker 4: hip real commercial success. Commercially successful rappers age the ice cubes,
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: you know what I mean, Like, we're just now seeing
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: that happen. So I didn't even know how hip hop
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: would age, to be honest, because all I seen was
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: guys like jay Z at the peak when they were
- 1:01:53Speaker 4: at their absolute best, say I'm too old to do it.
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: I'm done. Yeah, you know what I mean. So I
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: kind of always had it in my head of like, Okay,
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: this is a young mass work.
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: Yeah, one of jay Z's best fuck you moments to me,
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: and I just foun out about this. The lead singer
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: of Oasis wonder Wall. Have you seen that clip he
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: was headlining. He's headlining at a festival, and it's like
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: it used to be like just a strictly rock and
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: roll festival, right, and jay Z is like the number
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: one dude, and the guy from Oasis.
- 1:02:21Speaker 4: This is two thousand and eight in Glastonbury, by the way,
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: it's one of the biggest festivals ever.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: Basically goes off on jay Z like this is about
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: rock and roll, this is disgusting, blah blah blah. That
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: kind of goes in on jay Z. Jay Z opens
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: his show singing Wonderwall. He comes out singing wonder and
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: then then it goes, I got ninety nine problems with
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: a bitch, ain't one and he goes into it.
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: He's like, obviously not playing the guitar, but this ship
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: goes so hard.
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: No, no, he's just being petty. This is how he
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: started this show. Yeah, this is what makes him the king.
- 1:02:50Speaker 4: We share a birthday and I take pride.
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: In that he turned that out. You turn that up, Jack, headphones?
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: Can you hear it?
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: Put those headphones on? Jelly? Does Jillie have any Do
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: you have phones? Yes? Damn, Jelly, I had no headphones.
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: I'm sorry. I know what he's doing here. I've watched
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: this a thousand times, such a fan.
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: So this dude's been talking ship to him.
- 1:03:20Speaker 4: Ye, this is this is literally how he starts the show.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: And jay Z didn't say a word in the media. People, Hey,
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: what do you think? He ignored radio, ignored news, all that,
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: and he comes out and just ships on this cat.
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: But yeah, that's basically it. When you said jay Z,
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: I was like, damn, that is awesome.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: Yeah you also brought up our boy MGK. Yeah, which
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: I know you did me a solid. That night at
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: the super Bowl, he was the first time him and
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: I met. I think I told this already on the podcast.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: He was obviously going through something, I think the thing
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: with the UFC fighter Sean Sean Strickland, so he was
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: kind of off, do a little should through to me whatever.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: And I see Joey Roll a couple of nights later,
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: and I was like, yeah, I madam k because you
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: know I'm a huge fan.
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: I was like, it was all right, blah blah blah.
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: Fast forward two nights later, We're at Caesar's in this
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: private room. It's me and Jelly Dana Dana squad, and
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: he walks in and I was like in the bathroom,
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: came back and this man was so fucking nice to me,
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: to the point where he's like, yo, I was sending
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: my music, you can give me pointers thinking Jelly.
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: Must have seen.
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: He is like the most misunderstood dude, you know what
- 1:04:33Speaker 4: I mean. You caught him in those moments where he's
- 1:04:35Speaker 4: constantly misunderstood because he just doesn't understand this all still
- 1:04:41Speaker 4: in his mind, he's like, I don't even know this
- 1:04:43Speaker 4: UFC fighter, Like why would he even fuck with me
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: like that? You know what I mean? Yeah, He's like,
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: which I love Sean Strickland too, so it sucks to
- 1:04:50Speaker 4: kind of, you know, I'm such a fan of both.
- 1:04:52Speaker 4: But it's like MGK just looks at it, like and
- 1:04:55Speaker 4: he had the realist thing he said to me one time,
- 1:04:57Speaker 4: he said, Man, I just feel like if I and
- 1:05:00Speaker 4: have make the fashion choices I made, I would have
- 1:05:03Speaker 4: never caught all the shit I've caught, you know what
- 1:05:05Speaker 4: I mean. He's like, I feel like I kind of
- 1:05:07Speaker 4: get unfairly picked on just because I'm I'm you know,
- 1:05:09Speaker 4: I'm artsy, you know what I'm saying. He's like, I'm
- 1:05:12Speaker 4: uniquely myself. He's like, but like he's The sad thing
- 1:05:14Speaker 4: is you might not know it. He's like, but he
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: says it just like this. He's like, don't let the
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: pain and nails failure. Like I'm like a dude's dude.
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: He really is. He's like a go like wrestle with
- 1:05:22Speaker 4: you in the yard, go party with you all night.
- 1:05:25Speaker 4: Like he's like a dude's dude, you know what I mean.
- 1:05:26Speaker 4: Like he's a funny kind of dude man, And he's, ah,
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: you've seen it that night. He's charming, he's funny, he's
- 1:05:31Speaker 4: a sweet dude. But its headlines would have you believe
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: he's a monster, you know what I mean. He's got
- 1:05:36Speaker 4: a chip on his shoulder and there's a little bit
- 1:05:38Speaker 4: of that, but he's also I remind people to remember
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: where people are from. This dude is from the east
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: side of Cleveland, Ohio. I don't know if you've ever
- 1:05:45Speaker 4: been to Cleveland, Ohio, except for the time you spent
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: at the Brown Stadium, but you've seen it.
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: That was it.
- 1:05:51Speaker 4: Yeah, and I'm willing that the sun wasn't shining a bunch.
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: I love that city to death. That's one of my
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: favorite places to play because it's hard working America. But
- 1:05:59Speaker 4: it's a tough fucking town. But listen, I compare all
- 1:06:02Speaker 4: those towns like that, that rust Belt. Pittsburgh's the same way.
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: That's a tough town like which is why the shows
- 1:06:08Speaker 4: are great. Truck Listen, this isn't a save, this is real.
- 1:06:12Speaker 4: I would rather play anywhere in the Roust Belt than
- 1:06:15Speaker 4: anywhere l A and down.
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: Damn, that's a shot of Arizona.
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: Yeah, no, no, no, I love Arizona. To Arizona's I'm
- 1:06:26Speaker 4: saying coastal.
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: Coastal was like I go to Ohio's because State and
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: I went to Michigan.
- 1:06:30Speaker 4: Sometimes those super major cities can be a little too
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: cool for the show. Oh really, they'll enjoy the show,
- 1:06:38Speaker 4: but like when you go play Indiana, they lose their
- 1:06:42Speaker 4: ship on a Tuesday. Yeah, you go play LA on
- 1:06:44Speaker 4: a Saturday, they'll get out of their seat for seven
- 1:06:47Speaker 4: songs to place.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: LA is gonna be one of the hardest places to
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: play because everyone's in the music industry or the acting industry.
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: Everybody thinks.
- 1:06:57Speaker 4: That's why my success in Nashville is so mind That's
- 1:07:00Speaker 4: why it's always been a big deal that I could
- 1:07:02Speaker 4: sell tickets here because most artists can't.
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: Really. Yeah, man, so many people come in.
- 1:07:08Speaker 5: Yeah, I hate to cut this off, but I have
- 1:07:10Speaker 5: to be So did you drink too much water?
- 1:07:12Speaker 4: They're a big fellow. I sucked me down a leader
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: and feel great.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: Hey you with the sucking. That's that's the third time.
- 1:07:20Speaker 4: No, I'm telling you. Yeah, what did what did you
- 1:07:27Speaker 4: do to Willie this morning? Why was he pinned? Y'all
- 1:07:29Speaker 4: drink last night? Or no?
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: No, we did nothing. We haven't, dude, we drink at
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: spring tour?
- 1:07:32Speaker 4: Are y'all really? What are y'all doing right now? Like
- 1:07:34Speaker 4: three pods a week.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: No, just want we did our spring tour, and our
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: spring tour is like Falcons. We just did two weeks
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: ago last week. That kid's a stud to talk about
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: a kid who's.
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: Just like what a cool personality.
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: Yes, he's awesome.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: Raheem Morris, the head coach, he's like a dude's dude
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: like talking ship. We walked in the in the facility
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: and he's legit like, hey, you guys do whatever the
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: fun you want. Like we're like walking in the field
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: while they're doing practice and a lot of NFL teams
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: do not do that. Then obviously Kirks the Man two.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: But we during those spring tours, we'll do like three episodes.
- 1:08:06Speaker 4: In the week.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: But right now, I mean it's Tuesday afternoons or Tuesday
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: mornings is when you're gonna catch busting with the boys.
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: How was how was the ram one? It hadn't came
- 1:08:15Speaker 4: out yet. I'm excited about it.
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: Oh, Ran Bro, You're gonna like Ran the way he
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: talks about Rabel, how he left. I think the people
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: listening now that one came out last week. But he
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: was he's like one of those guys too. Where with
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: John Robinson, how he was a GM. He kept it
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: tightlight the Patriots. They meant it like everything was like
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: in need to know. Basis kind of kept to himself,
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: kept a major like arms length with the players, with
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: the Ran. He walks in the facility, dude, and everyone's
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: like loves him. He's sitting down, he's eating with the
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: boys like it keeps.
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: It very personal.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: It's a completely different energy in the Titans facility right now,
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: which low KEI being a Titans fan, do you should
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: be hype right now?
- 1:08:50Speaker 4: I's gonna be the man. I mean, I think Will
- 1:08:55Speaker 4: Levis has got the eye of the Tiger. I've said
- 1:08:57Speaker 4: it from day one. Yeah, I really do. Felt really
- 1:09:00Speaker 4: good to hear Callahan feel the same way whenever he
- 1:09:03Speaker 4: said I think he said that was one of the
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: things that made him want to take the job here. Yeah,
- 1:09:07Speaker 4: and quarterbacks before Stafford get out of Stafford watching I'm like,
- 1:09:12Speaker 4: this is insane.
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: He's gonna go.
- 1:09:14Speaker 4: I really thinks, all right, we're gonna go to a
- 1:09:18Speaker 4: practice sometime in the summer summer. I'll I'll text you
- 1:09:21Speaker 4: to day you shoul come. Yeah, Well we're gonna go
- 1:09:23Speaker 4: there and just shoot content.
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: Absolutely, that would be awesome. But uh.
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: Before Willie left, we were talking about MGK. If you
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: guys talked about changing genres, was that anything he has?
- 1:09:31Speaker 4: He was one of the ones that inspired me really
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: for sure. Yeah. Whenever he his his Fearless Tread in
- 1:09:37Speaker 4: the Rock about the same time I was releasing Save Me.
- 1:09:40Speaker 4: It was so funny because two dudes that came up
- 1:09:42Speaker 4: doing the same thing, And there was a time me
- 1:09:43Speaker 4: and mg K had real beef. We were very compared.
- 1:09:46Speaker 4: There was a time where there could only be one
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: white rapper at a time, you know. It was kind
- 1:09:49Speaker 4: of that thing, and him and Yellow Wolf had problem in.
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: A different traspes between the two.
- 1:09:55Speaker 4: Sure, yeah, yeah, yeah, me and I know him and
- 1:09:59Speaker 4: kill had their thing. But at the end of the day,
- 1:10:01Speaker 4: and I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna, you know what
- 1:10:03Speaker 4: I mean, Like that dude is the fucking greatest of
- 1:10:05Speaker 4: all time, period, no discussion, you know what I means
- 1:10:11Speaker 4: over period. It's kind of like when Stapleton gets Best
- 1:10:14Speaker 4: Male Vocalist and you're just like, we should just call
- 1:10:16Speaker 4: it the Chris Stapleton a Ward and he should give
- 1:10:18Speaker 4: it away. That's what we did with him and m
- 1:10:20Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying, like we all know that.
- 1:10:21Speaker 4: It's like you know, but and back then we took
- 1:10:24Speaker 4: you know, it's a bunch of street factors to it.
- 1:10:26Speaker 4: We we only squashed the beef because some street dudes
- 1:10:28Speaker 4: got together and was like, Yo, y'all need to figure
- 1:10:31Speaker 4: this out because y'all are sucking up some money. We
- 1:10:33Speaker 4: got some shit going on that this is interfering with
- 1:10:35Speaker 4: outside of y'all being too goofy white rappers, you know
- 1:10:39Speaker 4: what I mean. And we were like, all right, col
- 1:10:40Speaker 4: So what was I was gonna say?
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: I was a figure it.
- 1:10:44Speaker 4: I was a young, fucking hater and I thought I
- 1:10:46Speaker 4: was just a loyal writer because you know whatever. But
- 1:10:49Speaker 4: at the end of the day, I was just desperate,
- 1:10:52Speaker 4: you know what I mean. Yeah, just fucking desperate, just
- 1:10:54Speaker 4: being a fucking stone cold hater, you know, and had
- 1:10:57Speaker 4: a call and be a man and say that one day,
- 1:11:00Speaker 4: you know what I mean. But uh, and we've been
- 1:11:02Speaker 4: cool ever since. Man, he's he's he's a he's a
- 1:11:04Speaker 4: great dude. Man, that dude is he's salt of the earth.
- 1:11:07Speaker 4: I look, I'm hope I'm encouraging him right now to
- 1:11:11Speaker 4: go do long for him. I'm like, go do salts
- 1:11:14Speaker 4: go do Joe, Go get on the bus, like, go
- 1:11:17Speaker 4: do the rounds, like go. If the world seen what
- 1:11:20Speaker 4: I see, they would look at you different, you know
- 1:11:23Speaker 4: what I mean. But they only see these real artistic
- 1:11:25Speaker 4: pictures you post and these wild outfits and these headlines,
- 1:11:29Speaker 4: you know what I mean. It's like they don't really
- 1:11:31Speaker 4: get to see your heart, and you've got such a
- 1:11:32Speaker 4: good heart, Like go show the world your heart. Like
- 1:11:35Speaker 4: this dude flies to Cleveland every single weekend to watch
- 1:11:39Speaker 4: his daughter play volleyball every weekend, Like, won't tour do
- 1:11:43Speaker 4: shows during volleyball season, Like it's just what he's on.
- 1:11:47Speaker 4: That's just who that dude is. And I'm like, tell
- 1:11:49Speaker 4: the work, Go tell that story, you know what I mean.
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: Where's his hesitation from going and doing these long form shows.
- 1:11:54Speaker 4: He's kind of getting willing to, you know what I mean.
- 1:11:56Speaker 4: He's just he's just you know, he's been misunderstood and
- 1:11:58Speaker 4: outcasting for so long he don't even know how to
- 1:12:00Speaker 4: approach it.
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: Yeah, it's got to be hard.
- 1:12:02Speaker 4: Man.
- 1:12:03Speaker 5: If he's got like an introverted personality too, it's there's
- 1:12:05Speaker 5: that fear of like if they're hate me like this,
- 1:12:08Speaker 5: like what if I show them myself alone.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: Yeah, they can actually hate me, right right, Because right
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: now he could probably sit there and look at all
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: the hate and be like, well, they don't really know
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: me stood the minute you allow them to understand you
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: and hate you, right, that's a new fear of luck.
- 1:12:23Speaker 4: And he's also growing. He's young man, he's a little
- 1:12:25Speaker 4: younger than me. Even like when Morgan had this incident
- 1:12:29Speaker 4: with the barstool, I got to remind people that, like,
- 1:12:33Speaker 4: I could not as famous as I am today. If
- 1:12:36Speaker 4: me and Bunny would have been this famous when we
- 1:12:37Speaker 4: got together, we'd have gotten canceled immediately.
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: For sure, canceled before cancel having for sure we would
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: have blown it.
- 1:12:46Speaker 4: For sure, we'd have blew it. We got in trouble
- 1:12:48Speaker 4: every way you can get in trouble to Sunday, we'd
- 1:12:50Speaker 4: have been I am not proud to say this, and
- 1:12:53Speaker 4: this in the headline I'm looking for, but I have
- 1:12:57Speaker 4: I've never thrown a barstool off one of those routs,
- 1:12:59Speaker 4: but I thrown shit offul off of him before. I've
- 1:13:02Speaker 4: been drunk enough to throw a plastic cup, you know
- 1:13:04Speaker 4: what I mean. Like, I'm not proud of that. Neither.
- 1:13:07Speaker 4: In my early late classic cup, big difference. But what
- 1:13:10Speaker 4: I'm saying is is that you're not fucking far. We
- 1:13:14Speaker 4: got escorted out by the police too. You know what
- 1:13:16Speaker 4: I'm saying. It's like I've gotten you know, we got
- 1:13:18Speaker 4: bar fights back then, like real deal, like we were,
- 1:13:21Speaker 4: we were living a totally different thing. We were like,
- 1:13:24Speaker 4: I just be patient, be graceful. You're talking about the
- 1:13:27Speaker 4: most famous artists in America and he's thirty two years
- 1:13:30Speaker 4: old and he's from spit Bucket, East Tennessee. Yeah, you
- 1:13:34Speaker 4: know what I mean, Like I have a little grace.
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: Which, by the way, that's one of your East Tennessee
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: friends you would call in to do the show.
- 1:13:42Speaker 4: Taking those pieces out.
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: Huh that weed you gave me, I'm in.
- 1:13:46Speaker 4: I'm telling you right.
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: But yeah, it is crazy and I.
- 1:13:49Speaker 4: And I'm not saying he was a talented but it's like, man,
- 1:13:52Speaker 4: give my man, give my man some grace.
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure.
- 1:13:55Speaker 4: I thank god he blessed me because at thirty two
- 1:13:58Speaker 4: years old, I'm not going to Congress and talking about
- 1:14:00Speaker 4: and a right. But at forty years old, I got
- 1:14:02Speaker 4: a sixteen year old and I'm afraid of doing drugs. Yeah,
- 1:14:04Speaker 4: you know what I mean, you just life is more experience.
- 1:14:06Speaker 4: His son's gonna grow, He's gonna grow. Man. Man, my
- 1:14:09Speaker 4: man just made a bad mistake. He was over celebrating.
- 1:14:11Speaker 4: Could you imagine being that famous. I'd be over celebrated to.
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: Anybody, Bolt barstool downtown.
- 1:14:19Speaker 4: Yeah, that was crazy.
- 1:14:20Speaker 5: Like he catches a lot of heat too, because he's
- 1:14:22Speaker 5: had some he's had some dust ups recently over the
- 1:14:25Speaker 5: last couple of years or favorite word.
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: Yeah what I'm saying.
- 1:14:32Speaker 5: Then you go out, You're like, oh, I'm gonna go
- 1:14:33Speaker 5: do rehab, like you're gonna go through all this stuff,
- 1:14:35Speaker 5: and then you have an incident like the barstool, and
- 1:14:37Speaker 5: it's you know, yeah, and you're that like you said
- 1:14:41Speaker 5: the most Schultz.
- 1:14:42Speaker 4: When he came to town. Did y'all see that? No,
- 1:14:45Speaker 4: side two things, sidebar. We'll get back to that. But
- 1:14:48Speaker 4: because this is parallel Andrew Schultz hour that he's doing
- 1:14:52Speaker 4: right now, the life might be the best. And I'm
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: a comedy fan, he might be the best hour I've
- 1:14:59Speaker 4: ever seen. Really shit, I'm not bullshit. And I went
- 1:15:03Speaker 4: to I went and seen everybody Comedy Week. I hung
- 1:15:05Speaker 4: out with Tony Hinchcliff again. That's my come. One of
- 1:15:08Speaker 4: my best friends. Tony Hinchcliffe's fucking murderer. I got to
- 1:15:11Speaker 4: watch him work out some of them roast jokes at
- 1:15:13Speaker 4: the rhymen. Really, yeah, dude, it was so cool.
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: You obviously watched the roast.
- 1:15:17Speaker 4: Oh god, how incredible.
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: He owned the show and Will was talking to him.
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: I didn't say what you were saying beause the bog
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: is gonna come out.
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: Right, because this will come out This CMA fest is
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: this weekend.
- 1:15:28Speaker 5: Yeah, but he was at We were in Austin to
- 1:15:32Speaker 5: do Two Bears One Cave, and I was on before him.
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: I did an hour with him.
- 1:15:35Speaker 5: And then as we're sitting and eating, you know, they
- 1:15:38Speaker 5: have that comic Dave who does all the grilling, the
- 1:15:41Speaker 5: barbecue and everything else. We're in there eating like, oh
- 1:15:44Speaker 5: Tony's next. So Tony Hinchcliff comes in and I'm like,
- 1:15:46Speaker 5: oh shit, Like, I know you've heard this, but you
- 1:15:49Speaker 5: obviously absolutely murdered it. It's been crazy to see you're
- 1:15:52Speaker 5: just not overnight success, but the way that mainstream has
- 1:15:56Speaker 5: seen you in your popularity in the last since then.
- 1:15:58Speaker 5: And yeah, he was like, yo, step outside with me
- 1:16:01Speaker 5: while I ripped this dart, Like while he's smoking cigarette's
- 1:16:04Speaker 5: like I'll be in there in a minute, and we're
- 1:16:05Speaker 5: just out there talking and he's telling me how he
- 1:16:07Speaker 5: basically squeezed in more time of how everything unfolded during
- 1:16:11Speaker 5: the roast because they were only giving him he could
- 1:16:13Speaker 5: stand up and roast like the table he was at,
- 1:16:16Speaker 5: and then he like kind of talked his way in
- 1:16:18Speaker 5: the night before to do what he did. He knew
- 1:16:22Speaker 5: in his mind he was going to do that, but
- 1:16:23Speaker 5: he had to keep it close to the vest because
- 1:16:26Speaker 5: there's like there's gonna be a situation where I walk.
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: Up there on stage and I do everything that he
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: basically did.
- 1:16:30Speaker 4: Oh no, no, he's uh, that dude owned the night
- 1:16:36Speaker 4: to me. Him and Nicky owned it.
- 1:16:38Speaker 5: And he even talks through that strategy because he was like,
- 1:16:40Speaker 5: I'm two hours after NICKI, so you're feeling the energy
- 1:16:43Speaker 5: in the room, and I probably wouldn't have done these
- 1:16:46Speaker 5: jokes up front if I was at the beginning, or
- 1:16:48Speaker 5: if I was right after or at a different time.
- 1:16:50Speaker 5: He talks about the instinct and the field thing through
- 1:16:52Speaker 5: it all. You can tell like he's I mean, he's
- 1:16:54Speaker 5: I think eleven years, seventeen years in comedy, eleven years
- 1:16:57Speaker 5: with the live show.
- 1:16:58Speaker 4: He is one of the greatest comedians. I said this
- 1:17:02Speaker 4: when I got to introduce him at the Rhymeman. Because
- 1:17:03Speaker 4: we've become really good buddies. Is he has done more
- 1:17:06Speaker 4: for new comedians in the last ten years than any
- 1:17:08Speaker 4: comic ever has.
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: Ever because of that sixty second.
- 1:17:13Speaker 4: Because of that Kill Tony show. He's been putting comedians
- 1:17:16Speaker 4: on for a decade plus, now eleven years he's been
- 1:17:18Speaker 4: putting comedians on. His timing is impeccable. His reading a room,
- 1:17:23Speaker 4: his roasting, he's one of the original roasters with Jeff Rosh.
- 1:17:26Speaker 4: You look back at young baby Face Tony Enthcliffe just
- 1:17:29Speaker 4: slaughtering people. But I think he owned the night for
- 1:17:32Speaker 4: this reason. He was the one comedian that you could
- 1:17:36Speaker 4: tell he didn't just make you laugh, He made you go,
- 1:17:41Speaker 4: you know what I mean right, every single just he's
- 1:17:44Speaker 4: just Zach Kraw said at the best he's a knife
- 1:17:47Speaker 4: of a man is a knife of a man, and
- 1:17:51Speaker 4: watching him walk and me being like really good friends
- 1:17:54Speaker 4: with him when it was over, and then watching Kevin
- 1:17:59Speaker 4: kicktt back, like hold on, we don't need to gloss
- 1:18:04Speaker 4: by this when y'all we just watched something happen here. Yeah,
- 1:18:07Speaker 4: let's let this simmer for a second and you just
- 1:18:09Speaker 4: watched all them comedians on stage loving on them. Yeah,
- 1:18:12Speaker 4: he's even blushing a little bit. It was like, clip
- 1:18:15Speaker 4: this to me so I could send at the Tony. Yeah,
- 1:18:17Speaker 4: but it's like, man, that dude watching him, and I'm
- 1:18:21Speaker 4: looking I'm seeing myself and all these parallel stories too.
- 1:18:24Speaker 4: It's that like when he wins, I feel like I
- 1:18:26Speaker 4: want a little bit kind of thing right, And I
- 1:18:28Speaker 4: think that's how y'all feel when I win. It's how
- 1:18:30Speaker 4: I feel when y'all win, because I feel like we
- 1:18:32Speaker 4: all kind of started not at the same time, but
- 1:18:34Speaker 4: we were all at the same place around the same time.
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: All hungry, y'all like trying to.
- 1:18:38Speaker 4: Figure it out. He just moved to Austin about the
- 1:18:40Speaker 4: same time y'all were busting the boat, and that's when
- 1:18:43Speaker 4: it really started, you know till Tony's been going, but
- 1:18:45Speaker 4: it's when it started growing the legs and getting bigger.
- 1:18:48Speaker 4: Then we watched the bus grow. I've watched the same
- 1:18:50Speaker 4: thing happen with Schultz when me and Schultz wrote Open
- 1:18:54Speaker 4: Her Up in twenty twenty. You know, he was doing
- 1:18:57Speaker 4: two nights at Zannies min Schultz doing arenas everywhere in
- 1:19:00Speaker 4: America something multiple nights.
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: He's a too murdering, Yeah, murdering.
- 1:19:08Speaker 5: He even talked about knowing him doing all the rest
- 1:19:10Speaker 5: and everything else. He's doing it for the audience. That
- 1:19:14Speaker 5: is like a part of his show. He knows there's
- 1:19:15Speaker 5: there's so many people beyond the walls of it. Some
- 1:19:18Speaker 5: of those jokes feeling uncomfortable, which is what we love,
- 1:19:21Speaker 5: is like you're sitting in there, like, man, you gotta
- 1:19:23Speaker 5: wonder what the temperature is in that room when these
- 1:19:25Speaker 5: jokes are being said. But uh, he talks about it
- 1:19:28Speaker 5: through that lens, like about how much of a of
- 1:19:31Speaker 5: a game it is like in real time, like being
- 1:19:35Speaker 5: an athlete on the field. And he's from Youngstown, Ohio,
- 1:19:38Speaker 5: so we were connected with yeah, which is already a
- 1:19:42Speaker 5: poor Ohio's.
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: Got a couple of shoutouts on this podcast.
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: Man, he says, he says he runs his operations Detroit.
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: Actually loved Detroit, my favorite place.
- 1:19:53Speaker 5: Literally, But he was saying how he runs his operation
- 1:19:55Speaker 5: like a college football team, because you got the stoops,
- 1:19:57Speaker 5: the Polini's that grew up in youngs on a very
- 1:19:59Speaker 5: hard nosed town. But uh, he was cool man, super
- 1:20:02Speaker 5: nice dude.
- 1:20:03Speaker 4: He's and he's an old school he's a comics comic.
- 1:20:06Speaker 4: Two every night he's at that comedy mother Ship and
- 1:20:10Speaker 4: he's downstairs after a set, smoking a cigarette, talking to
- 1:20:13Speaker 4: carry the bartender at Mitzi's and running back material with
- 1:20:17Speaker 4: the boys. That's awesome, Like I get to sit in
- 1:20:20Speaker 4: there and watch it every time I go. I've got
- 1:20:21Speaker 4: to go, I think four times this year already, just
- 1:20:23Speaker 4: because we've been out there so much for different for
- 1:20:25Speaker 4: the awards, and I spent a week out there for
- 1:20:26Speaker 4: the CMTS. But I've alread you know, it's just he's
- 1:20:30Speaker 4: just who he is. He lives it. Yeah, I love
- 1:20:32Speaker 4: people that live their craft. That's why we're all drawn
- 1:20:35Speaker 4: to Ernest Or. Y'all are drawn to me like people
- 1:20:37Speaker 4: who are like I love old school music men too,
- 1:20:40Speaker 4: like them dudes that show up in boots and dusters
- 1:20:42Speaker 4: and hats and they just look dirty and they'd be
- 1:20:44Speaker 4: like they've been playing guitar for twenty years straight.
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: The best guitar players are there.
- 1:20:48Speaker 4: I love those dudes. Yeah, I love people that truly
- 1:20:51Speaker 4: live their craft.
- 1:20:52Speaker 5: You can tell his life is dedicated to that style
- 1:20:55Speaker 5: of comedy for sure.
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: Yeah, it's incredible. To me because when you were talking
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: about meeting Tone and I was like, yeah, it's crazy
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: this thing he did just blew up, and you were
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: telling me it was eleven years. I'm so I fell
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: a victim to seeing something that's now popular and not
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: realizing how long it took to get to that point,
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: which is so many things. I feel like casual fans
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: of whatever don't see right because he.
- 1:21:16Speaker 4: Is no he is ten year overnight success stoor.
- 1:21:21Speaker 2: Yeah, the ten year overnight, ten year overnight success story.
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: It is crazy, man.
- 1:21:25Speaker 4: It's it's it's which is funny because it's fun to
- 1:21:29Speaker 4: see you in that business now because y'all two came
- 1:21:32Speaker 4: from the opposite business. Yeah, I guess it's what's it's
- 1:21:35Speaker 4: still kind of the same though y'all played football for
- 1:21:37Speaker 4: fifteen years for free, you know what I mean, before
- 1:21:40Speaker 4: y'all went on for it to change your life and
- 1:21:42Speaker 4: every way it could. But it's like the meat of
- 1:21:44Speaker 4: your career is that twenty one to twenty nine, where
- 1:21:48Speaker 4: like they say, an artist doesn't hit his actual peak
- 1:21:52Speaker 4: until he's like twenty seven, it's like the artistic peak,
- 1:21:55Speaker 4: you know what I mean. So it's just it's just
- 1:21:57Speaker 4: it's just a different game. Man.
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: It is a weird world.
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: It's weird transitioning worlds too, like going from one and
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: then now doing this.
- 1:22:03Speaker 2: I'm playing football forever.
- 1:22:04Speaker 4: It's all you know, you're half a decade to the
- 1:22:07Speaker 4: ten year grind. Yeah, you know what I mean. It
- 1:22:09Speaker 4: was absolutely But you're already getting big calls, cool calls,
- 1:22:14Speaker 4: really cool. I'll tell you what. Five years in, I
- 1:22:17Speaker 4: wasn't getting cool calls. I can tell you that no
- 1:22:20Speaker 4: cool calls were happening five years in for me.
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: We will see, we will need you to watch. Yeah,
- 1:22:24Speaker 2: it comes out.
- 1:22:25Speaker 4: I'm in. I'm just I'm supporting you in general. But whatever,
- 1:22:28Speaker 4: you know me.
- 1:22:29Speaker 5: Speaking of cool calls, our agent's on the way over.
- 1:22:33Speaker 5: He's like out of breath, sprinting around here for oh
- 1:22:35Speaker 5: is he?
- 1:22:35Speaker 2: Yeah? One on the other side. I had to bite
- 1:22:37Speaker 2: a food. Oh so hungry. I had one took as climb.
- 1:22:41Speaker 2: What's up over? He loves you? I love you.
- 1:22:45Speaker 5: He's sprinting around the heir like once it was I
- 1:22:46Speaker 5: saw the group chat when I was taking a piss
- 1:22:48Speaker 5: and it was like all right, He's like, hey, I
- 1:22:50Speaker 5: landed all the head right on over and stuff like that,
- 1:22:52Speaker 5: and Steve was like, okay, all good, take your time.
- 1:22:55Speaker 5: The boys are in the middle of an interview with
- 1:22:57Speaker 5: Jelly Roll and everybody's just hitting the chat like, oh,
- 1:22:59Speaker 5: Cline's gonna lose his mind, and he's like, I'm out
- 1:23:01Speaker 5: of breath trying to get to my uper.
- 1:23:03Speaker 4: I I want to meet him. Was what he represents
- 1:23:08Speaker 4: y'all on the book a lab book inside or he
- 1:23:12Speaker 4: represents the Busting brand in general? Wow?
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: Yes, best friend. Yeah yeah, he loves agents. Yeah yeah,
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: our deals up, we got we got it's contract.
- 1:23:24Speaker 4: Year for the contract, the contract about it solid man.
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: You kind of just do the content and then whenever
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: the conversations come up, you just have the conversations. But
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: then you got to put in your back pocket and
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: just keep moving forward.
- 1:23:38Speaker 4: Kind of media where a circle back. But you know
- 1:23:41Speaker 4: me Andrew Schultz show, Yes, best show, best I've ever seen.
- 1:23:45Speaker 4: And I'm sure he won't mind me stepping on this
- 1:23:47Speaker 4: joke because I don't think he's gonna use it for
- 1:23:48Speaker 4: his fescial obviously, but you know, he does kind of
- 1:23:51Speaker 4: crowd work at the beginning of all this shows kind
- 1:23:53Speaker 4: of what he know. Schultz is just a sharp guy.
- 1:23:55Speaker 4: He's one of the best comedies comedians ever. And he
- 1:23:58Speaker 4: came out talking about the Morgan wallence bit about you know,
- 1:24:00Speaker 4: because it just happened. It was like the week up,
- 1:24:03Speaker 4: and he was like, we're not mad at him though, right,
- 1:24:05Speaker 4: he goes, because we don't really know who he was
- 1:24:08Speaker 4: throwing that barstool at. He said, if he was throwing
- 1:24:10Speaker 4: in a bachelorette party. He is the hero Nashville, neat
- 1:24:14Speaker 4: you know what's.
- 1:24:15Speaker 2: Not the one we deserve.
- 1:24:16Speaker 5: But then we but just here in him, just how
- 1:24:19Speaker 5: sharp sults is that he just bro he he just
- 1:24:21Speaker 5: seems so knowledgeable and he understands like enough. It feels
- 1:24:28Speaker 5: like in every area of life to where you sit there,
- 1:24:31Speaker 5: you're like, how does this man come up with all
- 1:24:32Speaker 5: of this stuff?
- 1:24:33Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: It wasn't a show, is it?
- 1:24:34Speaker 4: Flagrant?
- 1:24:35Speaker 2: That's his podcast?
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: Yeah, bro, it is so good and he's he just
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: had a CIA operative on there for sure, x CIA
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: guy and they're going back and forth the whole bunch.
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: You watched that little thirty second clip showing you.
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: What the show is going to be about. Yeah, God damn,
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: this is gonna be an awesome show. He does. He
- 1:24:49Speaker 2: does a great job, very with it, very well spoken
- 1:24:51Speaker 2: very curious.
- 1:24:52Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, he does a great job his hours. It's
- 1:24:56Speaker 4: one of the tightest hours I've ever seen.
- 1:24:58Speaker 2: You you did say it's the last hour you've ever seen.
- 1:25:01Speaker 4: It might be the best I've ever seen. It's in
- 1:25:03Speaker 4: the top five. I'm high, so I'm I want to
- 1:25:07Speaker 4: get number one. Ever will hold it. It's definitely a
- 1:25:10Speaker 4: top five for sure. Unseen when it comes out. I
- 1:25:15Speaker 4: put it this way, there's two moments in it that
- 1:25:17Speaker 4: I teared up. It's like it's it's a one man
- 1:25:21Speaker 4: show almost. It's it was special, man.
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: We had the shot to go when he was he
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: was at the Ryman? Was he at the Ryman?
- 1:25:28Speaker 4: He was at the Grand opperry House. Y'all should have came.
- 1:25:30Speaker 4: I came out.
- 1:25:31Speaker 5: There was something happening that weekend where we weren't in town.
- 1:25:33Speaker 5: Neither of us were because Derek posting. You know Derek,
- 1:25:36Speaker 5: He's like, hey, you and the boys, you guys want
- 1:25:38Speaker 5: to come out to shows the show. I was like, man,
- 1:25:41Speaker 5: nobody's in town this week.
- 1:25:43Speaker 4: Derek killed it that night too.
- 1:25:44Speaker 5: Bro seeing even seeing him, he's he's been ascending, Like
- 1:25:48Speaker 5: that's Darren Bates. That's like one of DB's best friends
- 1:25:51Speaker 5: really and he was on when uh my time on
- 1:25:53Speaker 5: the raw room. And then we're over at a J's
- 1:25:56Speaker 5: house one night, just cutting up and he's telling Sirius
- 1:25:58Speaker 5: where he's like talking about siris and scary movies and
- 1:26:02Speaker 5: seeing like him and who's his uh, who's his like
- 1:26:05Speaker 5: co host and his show and I'm putting this on
- 1:26:08Speaker 5: the spot there. But seeing seeing those two at that
- 1:26:11Speaker 5: moment in time and now seeing the circles that they're in,
- 1:26:14Speaker 5: like the circles that Derek talking about Derek because Derek
- 1:26:19Speaker 5: has a pot too. I know he kind of said,
- 1:26:21Speaker 5: don't he sit in now on shows the show he's
- 1:26:23Speaker 5: like part of the crew.
- 1:26:23Speaker 4: Well he's been he's him and have been together for
- 1:26:25Speaker 4: a while.
- 1:26:26Speaker 5: Yeah, but seeing him in all those circles and then
- 1:26:28Speaker 5: Rogan Tony Tony was bringing him up. Uh, It's just
- 1:26:32Speaker 5: like it's it's cool to see because everybody in that
- 1:26:36Speaker 5: community is like, you're one person removed from everybody.
- 1:26:40Speaker 2: Man, who is this guy Derek posting? Go ahead and
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: bring it.
- 1:26:45Speaker 4: He's a hoot and a half man.
- 1:26:46Speaker 2: He was on here, dude.
- 1:26:47Speaker 5: He was on the back of the bus when Shaub
- 1:26:49Speaker 5: was on with a Chandler and I that want that
- 1:26:51Speaker 5: the very first time in summer.
- 1:26:53Speaker 2: You're number one.
- 1:26:54Speaker 4: He was in the back.
- 1:26:57Speaker 2: Dude, He's yes, he really is.
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: He.
- 1:27:00Speaker 5: I met this here and matter of fact, the Shaw
- 1:27:02Speaker 5: when we went to see Shaw butt Zany's posting was
- 1:27:05Speaker 5: one of the openers.
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: One of the three.
- 1:27:08Speaker 5: Yeah, one of the three openers. No, he's super funny
- 1:27:11Speaker 5: and it seemed like he's like, you know, ascending.
- 1:27:14Speaker 4: I'll tell you another good hour to watch right now
- 1:27:15Speaker 4: on Netflix is Brian Simpson.
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: Brian Simpson pull him up his lab from.
- 1:27:19Speaker 4: The Comedy Mothership. It's the first one that He's the
- 1:27:21Speaker 4: first one that came lave from the Comedy Mothership. He's
- 1:27:24Speaker 4: one of the first ones to move down there. I
- 1:27:26Speaker 4: got to say.
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: So.
- 1:27:27Speaker 4: The cool thing about this was it's on Netflix. I
- 1:27:30Speaker 4: got to experience him in the club the first time,
- 1:27:33Speaker 4: and he stole the night like I left. He had
- 1:27:36Speaker 4: a bit. I won't say it because it's on a
- 1:27:37Speaker 4: special that he said. I heard it one time that
- 1:27:39Speaker 4: night and I've told it a thousand times, probably to
- 1:27:42Speaker 4: anybody who will listen. It's one of the funniest bits
- 1:27:44Speaker 4: I've ever heard. He's just the one funny bit. It's
- 1:27:47Speaker 4: the whole The whole special is great. But he had
- 1:27:49Speaker 4: a fifteen minute set on The Ron White Show, the
- 1:27:51Speaker 4: first time I ever seen him. Yeah, and I thinking
- 1:27:54Speaker 4: about that bit, you know what I mean, That's what
- 1:27:57Speaker 4: I left thinking about.
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: I wonder what those headliners think when they have a
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: guy like that who just kills you really want them
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: on your show? Yeah, people walking away not thinking about you,
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: thinking about them instead.
- 1:28:06Speaker 4: No, dude, they love that though. It makes them step
- 1:28:08Speaker 4: it up. I seen them talk about it in the
- 1:28:10Speaker 4: green rooms. Really, it's the most comedians I heard. There's
- 1:28:14Speaker 4: a lot of competition in comedy, but I've only experienced
- 1:28:19Speaker 4: the groups of people that love each other. So when
- 1:28:22Speaker 4: they're like, no, trust me, comedy is not always like this,
- 1:28:24Speaker 4: I'm like, it's all I've ever seen. The homies. Yeah.
- 1:28:28Speaker 4: My truth is the twelve friends I've made in comedy
- 1:28:30Speaker 4: all love the funk out of each other, work together,
- 1:28:32Speaker 4: boost each other up, and are all damn near arena acts, now,
- 1:28:35Speaker 4: you know what I mean.
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: Yeah, there's got to be high school you think.
- 1:28:39Speaker 4: All the music, right, it's like this, Nashville's high schoolers.
- 1:28:44Speaker 4: There's artists that you got clicks. There's artists that are
- 1:28:46Speaker 4: you know they're the homies. Songwriters are the same way.
- 1:28:48Speaker 4: They're kind of all right with the same people. Don't
- 1:28:50Speaker 4: let somebody in and out every now and then a rent,
- 1:28:51Speaker 4: but it's all clickie, you're right all high school. Then
- 1:28:54Speaker 4: you kind of hate on the circles that are not
- 1:28:55Speaker 4: in the circle.
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: It happens. That always happens, Jillie MGK prime example.
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: Yeah, right, not in the same circles at one point
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: decide to hate on each other.
- 1:29:04Speaker 4: Yeah, not even on each other. I was the hater.
- 1:29:07Speaker 4: The sad part was I was, yeah that it was
- 1:29:12Speaker 4: all me, you know what I'm saying.
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: Yeah, damn. He's like, you guys gotta squash this beef.
- 1:29:16Speaker 2: And MGK is like, what are you talking?
- 1:29:19Speaker 4: He's like, why does this guy hate me?
- 1:29:21Speaker 6: You know what?
- 1:29:22Speaker 2: He did? Get all those like all black tattoos? Yeah,
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: black to that what.
- 1:29:30Speaker 4: I probably butchered this right now, but I think it
- 1:29:32Speaker 4: was somebody from maybe not Limp Biscuit, but uh, I
- 1:29:37Speaker 4: don't know. This has been happening. This is an age
- 1:29:39Speaker 4: old rock and roll thing. Ronnie radkeep my buddy from following.
- 1:29:42Speaker 4: The reverse has blackout tats. There's another big band that
- 1:29:44Speaker 4: does it. Twenty one pile paints. There's a bunch of
- 1:29:48Speaker 4: bands that do that on stage, that just paint. It's
- 1:29:50Speaker 4: a thing what he did it for. And I appreciate this,
- 1:29:53Speaker 4: And I don't know. I don't want to share his story.
- 1:29:54Speaker 4: I'll let him share it. But this was more about
- 1:29:58Speaker 4: a him. He's transition. He's like, that's not the word
- 1:30:03Speaker 4: in this climate.
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: Ye, definitely, he's making a big change in his lifeition.
- 1:30:10Speaker 4: Don't do that to each He's making big changes in
- 1:30:15Speaker 4: his life. He's like really trying to become a new person.
- 1:30:17Speaker 4: He's he's kind of been that. I remember when I
- 1:30:20Speaker 4: did it, you know what I mean. He's done it before,
- 1:30:22Speaker 4: but he's shedding that last bit of that that old
- 1:30:25Speaker 4: mentality away. And I think that was something to do
- 1:30:27Speaker 4: with his tattoos.
- 1:30:28Speaker 2: People a couple of years ago. Yeah, the right body.
- 1:30:33Speaker 4: I think the first time I seen Ronnie do it,
- 1:30:35Speaker 4: I was insane. But hey, you know, I can also
- 1:30:39Speaker 4: tell you I've thought about doing it. I hate so
- 1:30:42Speaker 4: many of my tattoos. Not everybody had the privilege of
- 1:30:45Speaker 4: like getting tattoos they love. Like we were getting scratched
- 1:30:47Speaker 4: on and Motel sixes from a guy that made one
- 1:30:50Speaker 4: album D one out of a guitar string and a boombox.
- 1:30:55Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying. It's like, you know, some
- 1:30:58Speaker 4: of these tattoos suck.
- 1:30:59Speaker 2: You know what my tattoo this is in town?
- 1:31:02Speaker 4: Yeah, next one in town next week, next week? Does
- 1:31:05Speaker 4: he do cover up? Well?
- 1:31:06Speaker 2: Do it? Yes? Man, I'm start covering up all that
- 1:31:10Speaker 2: tribal and stuff like that.
- 1:31:11Speaker 4: Yeah he can see. That's fine at all.
- 1:31:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:31:15Speaker 4: Look, I'd let him do anything because I've thought about
- 1:31:17Speaker 4: it too. Man.
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: I think it kind of goes there's parts of to me,
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: I wouldn't get the tattoo, but I think it kind
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: of looks hard.
- 1:31:23Speaker 4: I think it's guys, No, not at all, bro. I
- 1:31:31Speaker 4: would love to hear the story.
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: Behind the Will has gotten you. Hear me Will Hasten.
- 1:31:36Speaker 4: Reverse He's got him too, And I hate to make
- 1:31:39Speaker 4: you do this. Catmond's blacked out, like if he's.
- 1:31:43Speaker 5: Trying to like cover up tats, there's also the procedures
- 1:31:45Speaker 5: where you can get it removed. You know that shit hurts.
- 1:31:47Speaker 4: So he went blacked out too. I mean that is
- 1:31:51Speaker 4: a neck on that thing.
- 1:31:54Speaker 2: So man, you think that goes hard. I think certain
- 1:31:57Speaker 2: spots like I think like have you had a piece
- 1:31:59Speaker 2: of your form that was all blocked out.
- 1:32:02Speaker 4: There's another rock man that's I don't want to think.
- 1:32:04Speaker 4: I don't think it was, but.
- 1:32:07Speaker 2: He's got the body type.
- 1:32:09Speaker 4: He's got.
- 1:32:12Speaker 2: Big peace body type.
- 1:32:15Speaker 4: Is that tray Cyrus, the tray Cyrus blackout too? I
- 1:32:17Speaker 4: haven't been on social media in a while. Looks like
- 1:32:19Speaker 4: tray Cyrus over there to the left. Is that Trace? No,
- 1:32:22Speaker 4: it's not.
- 1:32:22Speaker 2: Jesus Christ say, hey, that's spooky.
- 1:32:27Speaker 4: That's what that is. I forget who it was.
- 1:32:30Speaker 2: I don't know about the body minds.
- 1:32:32Speaker 4: And I'm telling you, twenty one Pilot there's been a
- 1:32:34Speaker 4: lot of bands that paint for like uh like show,
- 1:32:37Speaker 4: so that's kind of always been a rock and roll thing.
- 1:32:38Speaker 2: Twenty one Pilot's car Radio that song that music video
- 1:32:42Speaker 2: goes so hard.
- 1:32:43Speaker 4: Twenty one Pilots slap Spirit. Yeah, they're just fucking dope.
- 1:32:47Speaker 4: I love it. An m C and a drummer Like
- 1:32:49Speaker 4: what a cool little two man crew? Do you know
- 1:32:51Speaker 4: what I'm saying? Gangster a school just like Yo, we
- 1:32:54Speaker 4: don't need a lot. Their productions always crazy?
- 1:32:56Speaker 2: Is it nuts?
- 1:32:57Speaker 4: Their production?
- 1:32:58Speaker 2: How much thought projects do you put into that with
- 1:32:59Speaker 2: your product tons?
- 1:33:00Speaker 4: I'm doing my first real arena tour this year. I've
- 1:33:03Speaker 4: done arenas and amphitheaters last year. But because you're going
- 1:33:05Speaker 4: from an arena to an amphitheater, there's only one way
- 1:33:08Speaker 4: you can build a stage in an amphitheater. It's the stage.
- 1:33:11Speaker 4: They're all pre built. Yeah, there's no you can't, you
- 1:33:13Speaker 4: know what I mean. Like, so, because I'm doing all
- 1:33:15Speaker 4: arenas now, I've got to like make some cool decisions.
- 1:33:18Speaker 4: We'll talk about loft camera, but I've got to make
- 1:33:20Speaker 4: some like that whole arena becomes a canvas for you
- 1:33:23Speaker 4: to a degree, you know what I mean. Like you've
- 1:33:25Speaker 4: got a sixteen twenty thousand seed arena that you're like,
- 1:33:28Speaker 4: I can put a stage here, I could put something
- 1:33:30Speaker 4: up here. I could do something here. I can have
- 1:33:32Speaker 4: a light go here, I could you know, It's like
- 1:33:33Speaker 4: it's cool. Did the butch down when you got that
- 1:33:35Speaker 4: golf cart to go the other side? Yeah, he's got
- 1:33:38Speaker 4: a ship. He's got to get that I hit to
- 1:33:41Speaker 4: pop up with the boom.
- 1:33:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm that did go crazy?
- 1:33:45Speaker 4: Man? What else? What else? Yeah?
- 1:33:47Speaker 2: What else?
- 1:33:47Speaker 4: Are you working on? The album? New music? Like I
- 1:33:49Speaker 4: told y'all, new music most important thing I want to
- 1:33:52Speaker 4: talk about if I I'm I need to start talking
- 1:33:56Speaker 4: about music again. I've been talking about I told the
- 1:33:59Speaker 4: jelly roll story for like two years because nobody, you know,
- 1:34:01Speaker 4: I was introducing myself to the world, and then I
- 1:34:03Speaker 4: got now I get caught up in like the headlines
- 1:34:06Speaker 4: and like what's happening currently, Like I need to start
- 1:34:09Speaker 4: talking about music. It's time to start really talking about music.
- 1:34:13Speaker 2: Yeah, with it with your new album? Like how close
- 1:34:15Speaker 2: are we?
- 1:34:16Speaker 4: Man? It's done. I just need to figure out what
- 1:34:18Speaker 4: songs I'm keeping thirty songs. Yeah, I's been done. I
- 1:34:22Speaker 4: just don't know what song I'm putting on it. Yeah,
- 1:34:24Speaker 4: I'm that is there.
- 1:34:26Speaker 2: Is there like a number of range that you want
- 1:34:27Speaker 2: to I want.
- 1:34:28Speaker 4: To do like twenty something this year because I think
- 1:34:30Speaker 4: Morgan had it right. I think Morgan's feeding the consumption
- 1:34:34Speaker 4: the right way, you know. I think that they dropped
- 1:34:37Speaker 4: thirty six songs last year. He's already teasing new singles,
- 1:34:39Speaker 4: dropped like a four pack on YouTube? Did the post
- 1:34:41Speaker 4: single already? Like it's the song of the summer that
- 1:34:46Speaker 4: or the.
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: Song we were banging that on the way back to
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: Atlanta bang people hate on it too.
- 1:34:56Speaker 2: He just played east On basement, right, yeah, good, which
- 1:35:01Speaker 2: is good for him.
- 1:35:02Speaker 4: I'm proud of him to have the song of the Summer,
- 1:35:04Speaker 4: the biggest dream song in America right now, and to
- 1:35:06Speaker 4: still go out and play clubs. It shows your integrity, yeah,
- 1:35:10Speaker 4: because it's like he knows he's got to learn the road.
- 1:35:12Speaker 4: He's a great guy, y'all. Text me about him and
- 1:35:14Speaker 4: I didn't know him much at the time, and I
- 1:35:15Speaker 4: was like, I don't know, And then I got to
- 1:35:17Speaker 4: really spend some time with him at the ACMs. He
- 1:35:20Speaker 4: is He is a great, great guy, like young, charismatic,
- 1:35:26Speaker 4: just handsome, fun, just good energy. So we the ACMs,
- 1:35:31Speaker 4: we end up at this after we had a little
- 1:35:33Speaker 4: party after and uh, you know, I'm old school man.
- 1:35:36Speaker 4: We do the no phones thing, yep. So we're in
- 1:35:39Speaker 4: there just you know, you know, we're doing our thing, right,
- 1:35:41Speaker 4: We're having a good time. And there's a moment where
- 1:35:46Speaker 4: I look up and it's me Camee Brown playing against
- 1:35:50Speaker 4: Jason Alden and Post Malone and beer pong for like
- 1:35:52Speaker 4: ten k or something, you know what I mean. Like
- 1:35:55Speaker 4: it's like a real game, and the whole the bar
- 1:35:57Speaker 4: is full and everybody's there and I full disclosure and
- 1:36:00Speaker 4: I had to shared this shit. I had never played
- 1:36:02Speaker 4: beer pong, right, I mean, I didn't go to college
- 1:36:05Speaker 4: or nothing.
- 1:36:07Speaker 2: Gave you don't know how to play well.
- 1:36:09Speaker 4: I knew something most people. I knew Post was really good,
- 1:36:12Speaker 4: and I knew Kane was really good. And then I
- 1:36:15Speaker 4: had to decipher as to which one was more competitive,
- 1:36:18Speaker 4: And in my heart, I knew it was Kane because
- 1:36:21Speaker 4: Post is just a real love not the knees, not
- 1:36:23Speaker 4: a loving guy. But Post is just like a real
- 1:36:24Speaker 4: like you know, he's a competitive guy when he plays,
- 1:36:26Speaker 4: but he's fun. Kine is a fierce competitor, you know what.
- 1:36:29Speaker 4: I I didn't come here to have fun. I came
- 1:36:33Speaker 4: to fucking beat you. You know what I'm saying. So
- 1:36:35Speaker 4: I was like, I'm a Caine, you know what I'm saying.
- 1:36:36Speaker 4: I'm in on this. And Kane was like Post is good,
- 1:36:39Speaker 4: I'm good. Al Dean's mid, you're mid, And I was
- 1:36:43Speaker 4: just like, all right, I'll take me in. And I'm
- 1:36:44Speaker 4: thinking I don't have never played, but I don't have
- 1:36:46Speaker 4: disclose this right, And I got the picture because we
- 1:36:50Speaker 4: Al Dean's photographer took a couple of pictures, but it
- 1:36:52Speaker 4: ended up being. I don't even know how I got
- 1:36:53Speaker 4: Bunny Traill. Oh, Shaboozy, That's how I got here. So
- 1:36:56Speaker 4: we're playing, We're having the best night of peer bark,
- 1:36:58Speaker 4: and Shaboozie's just he's like the life of the party.
- 1:37:01Speaker 4: He's cutting in and throwing for posts. He's just fun.
- 1:37:03Speaker 4: Everybody instantly loves him, like he's got that natural walks
- 1:37:07Speaker 4: in the room and you're like, I like this guy. Yeah,
- 1:37:09Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying. It's just naturally that thing,
- 1:37:12Speaker 4: you know, Like he's a great guy. Man.
- 1:37:15Speaker 2: Did you end up winning?
- 1:37:16Speaker 4: K Yeah, but Kine did. Fuck, I didn't do anything
- 1:37:19Speaker 4: an I made three out of thirteen or something. I
- 1:37:21Speaker 4: did something. Kine carried me though. But the next game,
- 1:37:24Speaker 4: Kane stepped out and Shaye Mooney stepped in, and I
- 1:37:26Speaker 4: dropped like eleven cups. Once I figured out what was
- 1:37:29Speaker 4: going on, I bald ship. Yes, I I'm instantly good
- 1:37:33Speaker 4: at it. I don't know what it is. Maybe it's just,
- 1:37:34Speaker 4: you know, maybe I was just high enough. It's just
- 1:37:37Speaker 4: a lazy enough sport that works for me, you know what.
- 1:37:40Speaker 4: It's just fucking that.
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: I've never heard of being played for ten k It's
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: a real thing. It happened, and I knows he posted
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: like a game show.
- 1:37:49Speaker 2: At one point he was playing beer games of people.
- 1:37:52Speaker 4: Him and Kane, where it was almost like watching a
- 1:37:55Speaker 4: different language be spoken, like the way they would talk
- 1:37:58Speaker 4: about the cemetric of the game. They'd be like, uh,
- 1:38:02Speaker 4: He's like, you get what you want to use one
- 1:38:03Speaker 4: of them? He's like, yeah, but I want to do
- 1:38:05Speaker 4: a two three one two, and he would set the
- 1:38:07Speaker 4: cups up. You know what I'm talking about? Sound stupid,
- 1:38:13Speaker 4: fire solid, real time. I haven't told it. They're gonna
- 1:38:17Speaker 4: learn this.
- 1:38:18Speaker 2: Let me get it.
- 1:38:18Speaker 4: Let me get a zipper, Let me get a zipper
- 1:38:19Speaker 4: with those they're gonna learn this. Watching this, I had
- 1:38:21Speaker 4: no clue what. I just went along with it, like, yeah,
- 1:38:23Speaker 4: for sure, never played in my whole life.
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: There's these brothers on Instagram ones they did that the
- 1:38:28Speaker 1: little side. I think, Yeah, they do a whole deal
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: about beer pong and how they all the aggressive setups
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: you can do, but the three two one two give
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: you that your mother's daughter.
- 1:38:37Speaker 4: Yeah, those cups to those cups. We did a Mario flag, Yeah,
- 1:38:42Speaker 4: there was a good one. A Mario flag was a
- 1:38:43Speaker 4: fun one.
- 1:38:44Speaker 2: What is that?
- 1:38:45Speaker 4: I don't know two and three, I don't remember, dude.
- 1:38:47Speaker 4: I listen now, keep in mind, I'm learning this like
- 1:38:49Speaker 4: like are in the morning after. I just want a
- 1:38:52Speaker 4: fucking award. I'm cranked. Yeah, you know what I'm I'm
- 1:38:56Speaker 4: fucking I have the lights are all but nobody was home.
- 1:38:59Speaker 6: You know.
- 1:39:00Speaker 4: I'm definitely one of.
- 1:39:01Speaker 2: Those what's the marrow jack?
- 1:39:04Speaker 4: What's the Mario flags?
- 1:39:06Speaker 1: Gotta be the three with two extra, like if there's five,
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, okay, I'm gonna
- 1:39:15Speaker 1: take that.
- 1:39:16Speaker 2: Back, a little pinty flag. That's a nice Mario.
- 1:39:18Speaker 4: Yeah, no, I said, because Cane called for it. Okay,
- 1:39:21Speaker 4: give me the Mario flag. And Post looked disgusted, and
- 1:39:25Speaker 4: I was like, this is deep, this is this is deep.
- 1:39:28Speaker 4: Right then I looked at al D and I was like,
- 1:39:29Speaker 4: I hope al D knows as much as I know.
- 1:39:31Speaker 4: And I could tell he knew some ship, and I
- 1:39:33Speaker 4: was like, I really don't know what's going on.
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: Keep it close to your vest, though, because close give
- 1:39:40Speaker 1: you heard him give them the Mario flag.
- 1:39:41Speaker 4: Coffee.
- 1:39:42Speaker 2: Yeah, it sounds like we should reach out to Cane
- 1:39:44Speaker 2: and Post Malone. Yeah, game for beer Olympics. Excuse me,
- 1:39:49Speaker 2: games keep calling it the b We can't call the
- 1:39:51Speaker 2: BO no more now. Well, the real O is this year,
- 1:39:55Speaker 2: so I feel like there's some copyright things. Yeah, they
- 1:39:57Speaker 2: can really come after it since it's so official Build
- 1:40:01Speaker 2: Beer Games Championship of the World.
- 1:40:02Speaker 4: Yeah, how do y'all feel about it? I know y'all
- 1:40:04Speaker 4: had some drops, some come some go. How's it balancing out?
- 1:40:07Speaker 2: I think based in the last couple of years, and
- 1:40:10Speaker 2: how we're gonna release it, How we're gonna roll this
- 1:40:13Speaker 2: one out. Yeah, there's a lot of it's gonna be.
- 1:40:17Speaker 2: It's gonna be so much more than just drinking.
- 1:40:18Speaker 1: Like the first night, there's gonna be the gambling, the
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: Dana White, the Tunnel of Chaos type vibe.
- 1:40:24Speaker 2: We have it themed out, yeah, like we're doing the whole.
- 1:40:27Speaker 1: High Roller room and we're like's all busting with the boys,
- 1:40:30Speaker 1: all all that stuff, So it'd be really cool. And
- 1:40:32Speaker 1: then obviously your concert at the end, Yeah for sure.
- 1:40:35Speaker 4: Yeah, that's gonna be.
- 1:40:36Speaker 2: The Beer Games will be out there by that pool.
- 1:40:39Speaker 4: Everything.
- 1:40:39Speaker 2: Stuff's shrubs getting put in.
- 1:40:42Speaker 4: Oh dope. So you'll happen at the pool and then
- 1:40:45Speaker 4: they'll clear it out and let patrons in.
- 1:40:48Speaker 2: Patrons and let them get after it.
- 1:40:49Speaker 1: Yeah, we just have one little section of the pool.
- 1:40:50Speaker 1: The pool is still gonna be public, but it'll be
- 1:40:52Speaker 1: high enough so people can't see in. It's gonna be
- 1:40:55Speaker 1: a nice little setup.
- 1:40:56Speaker 4: Yeah. I love Red Rocks. Anyways, there once y'all, because
- 1:41:00Speaker 4: I went to go meet you, and then I meet
- 1:41:01Speaker 4: you at the other spot. But I went in there
- 1:41:02Speaker 4: and one immediately Yeah, me and Cody exposed when in
- 1:41:05Speaker 4: there and at one, Hey, that was trying to chase that.
- 1:41:08Speaker 1: Where you at all, I'm a red Rocky coming like, yeah,
- 1:41:10Speaker 1: I'm coming three hours. Then it hits me, Hey, come
- 1:41:15Speaker 1: to Caesars. I was like, all right, I guess Jelly's
- 1:41:17Speaker 1: not coming. Literally getting the car im.
- 1:41:18Speaker 2: Halfway to Caesars.
- 1:41:19Speaker 4: Hey, where you at?

- 1:41:28Speaker 5: I was gonna say we were joking about the times
- 1:41:29Speaker 5: and stuff in our group. Chay, yesterday you said like
- 1:41:32Speaker 5: we got twelve thirt and expect one or twelve.
- 1:41:34Speaker 2: Expect we'll go at twelve. I'll fully expect to twelve.
- 1:41:37Speaker 4: Yeah, early call early.
- 1:41:40Speaker 2: How was your changed?
- 1:41:41Speaker 4: No, just the routine when you wake up has changed,
- 1:41:46Speaker 4: the routine has changed, and and I'm what I am
- 1:41:49Speaker 4: now willing to do is I used to be totally
- 1:41:51Speaker 4: anti this, but days like today, I sacrificed a little
- 1:41:54Speaker 4: sleep to make sure I got my morning in. Yeah,
- 1:41:56Speaker 4: and I'm okay with it. I used to be like
- 1:41:57Speaker 4: sleep is more important than that. I was like, you're
- 1:41:59Speaker 4: gonna die in your sleep?
- 1:42:05Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:42:05Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like nah, losing weight for yeah, let me
- 1:42:09Speaker 4: fucking quit making that. I'm eating the cookie, Like, oh,
- 1:42:12Speaker 4: I got sleep.
- 1:42:13Speaker 2: You know, you know whether you have enough back. It's
- 1:42:21Speaker 2: a legit, like a religious thing for you. You got
- 1:42:22Speaker 2: to do it every single day.
- 1:42:24Speaker 4: I love that. I'll take like one day off a week,
- 1:42:28Speaker 4: or even then I'll still do one of I'll probably
- 1:42:30Speaker 4: do something, you know what I mean. Or I'll take
- 1:42:32Speaker 4: one or two days off. I'll take two to three
- 1:42:33Speaker 4: days off the walking portion, just because I'm still so
- 1:42:36Speaker 4: big that if I try to walk six days a week,
- 1:42:38Speaker 4: it would just beat me. The breaks so many pairs
- 1:42:40Speaker 4: of socks. Yeah. The worst part is my wife put
- 1:42:48Speaker 4: me on blast. She immediately commented under it when it
- 1:42:50Speaker 4: was going viral. She was like, he also does this
- 1:42:52Speaker 4: with shirts that She was like shirts and boxers, and
- 1:42:57Speaker 4: that's all true.
- 1:42:58Speaker 2: You love how Bunny just doesn't give a funk about
- 1:42:59Speaker 2: the noise.
- 1:43:00Speaker 4: Bunny doesn't care about that.
- 1:43:02Speaker 2: She's maybe the number one savage in the world.
- 1:43:04Speaker 4: Yes, dude, she's the greatest woman ever, and she doesn't
- 1:43:07Speaker 4: care about She will first of all, she will clap back.
- 1:43:10Speaker 4: Be careful coming for Bunny. She will fire. You know
- 1:43:12Speaker 4: what I'm saying, said something about me. I thought it
- 1:43:15Speaker 4: was the coolest thing ever.
- 1:43:16Speaker 2: Bill Ma.
- 1:43:17Speaker 4: Did you not read this? No, you'll pull up the
- 1:43:19Speaker 4: New York Post what Bill mar said about jelly Roll. Please.
- 1:43:22Speaker 4: I'm sorry not to tell you what to do, Jack,
- 1:43:23Speaker 4: but this is fucking really and.
- 1:43:24Speaker 5: Just knowing and going off of how bad as your
- 1:43:26Speaker 5: wife is, like you, I have such that vibe about
- 1:43:30Speaker 5: her to where I'm not even nervous when I text, like, Hey,
- 1:43:33Speaker 5: we're trying to hit up jelly Roll. This is what
- 1:43:35Speaker 5: we're trying to get done.
- 1:43:36Speaker 4: What do you know?
- 1:43:36Speaker 2: What can you tell me? She's like responding, Yeah, I'm
- 1:43:39Speaker 2: about to go on the podcast. I'll hate you after
- 1:43:41Speaker 2: it hits me after. She just handles her business.
- 1:43:43Speaker 4: Bro, She's all business man. So he did a New
- 1:43:46Speaker 4: York Post art article and in one of the headlines
- 1:43:50Speaker 4: of it was no, that's not the one. It's it'll
- 1:43:54Speaker 4: be Bill maher New York Post. But there's a quote
- 1:43:57Speaker 4: in there where he says, we're all jelly roll now,
- 1:44:00Speaker 4: we're all uh sloppy, complicated and contradictory. And I thought
- 1:44:07Speaker 4: that was awesome because he referenced it to like eight
- 1:44:12Speaker 4: fifty percent of Democrats, sixty percent of Democrats own a
- 1:44:15Speaker 4: gun or live with a gun owner, and two thirds
- 1:44:17Speaker 4: of Republicans agree for legalization in marijuana. He's like, at
- 1:44:21Speaker 4: least jelly rolls honest about his contradictions. Yeah, he's like, so,
- 1:44:25Speaker 4: the world's kind of my wish the world would be
- 1:44:27Speaker 4: more like jellyroll.
- 1:44:28Speaker 2: Well, you know what I'm saying.
- 1:44:28Speaker 4: He was kind of saying, but like but but it
- 1:44:30Speaker 4: was a real backhanded, fucking compliment, right.
- 1:44:33Speaker 2: He said it in the mean way, but you think
- 1:44:35Speaker 2: it a part of them.
- 1:44:35Speaker 4: He's also a comedian. It's like miassaults laughed about it.
- 1:44:38Speaker 4: Becausesults like he said, you were like every man. I
- 1:44:40Speaker 4: was like, exactly, I thought it was the coolest thing ever.
- 1:44:43Speaker 4: You're a relatable guy in the middle. My wife immediately
- 1:44:47Speaker 4: shot at him. She went straight online and lit Bill
- 1:44:51Speaker 4: maher up it was and I was, and I was,
- 1:44:53Speaker 4: I was like, you know what, I'm gonna let you
- 1:44:55Speaker 4: do you. But I think he was right.
- 1:44:59Speaker 2: I'm not gonna get in your way. But to be honest,
- 1:45:01Speaker 2: I think it's all good. Yeah, did he had a
- 1:45:03Speaker 2: good He's got a show too. He did one with
- 1:45:05Speaker 2: Bill Burr and Bill.
- 1:45:08Speaker 4: Yep, it's the next one down. You'll see it. Or
- 1:45:10Speaker 4: did you say my name in that one? We're all
- 1:45:15Speaker 4: jelly roll now, we're sloppy, complicated, and contradictory. Two thirds
- 1:45:19Speaker 4: of Republican voters support weed legalization of forty one percent
- 1:45:22Speaker 4: of Democrats owner live with someone who owns a gun.
- 1:45:25Speaker 4: Miss Marvel is Pakistani. The winner of the last two
- 1:45:30Speaker 4: NBA Dunk contest is white. The new Captain America is black,
- 1:45:33Speaker 4: and Spider Man is black and Puerto Rican. So anyways,
- 1:45:38Speaker 4: he won the dunk contest.
- 1:45:39Speaker 2: Yeah, we got to put that up.
- 1:45:42Speaker 4: We gotta take that.
- 1:45:44Speaker 5: Anyways, dude, even to keep up with that dunk the
- 1:45:46Speaker 5: Dunk contest, So yeah, that is sick that well, just
- 1:45:49Speaker 5: saw two white guys went down to He's bringing towards that.
- 1:45:52Speaker 4: Cooper. I got to go this year.
- 1:45:54Speaker 1: White guys are making to come back in sports. Yeah,
- 1:45:56Speaker 1: and as not any type of way other than hell yeah.
- 1:46:01Speaker 4: Gonna come back and sport. That's not any other kind
- 1:46:06Speaker 4: of weight.
- 1:46:08Speaker 2: But that's kind of dope sitting here as a white guy.
- 1:46:10Speaker 2: All right, Cool, we are athletic.
- 1:46:12Speaker 6: I like that.
- 1:46:13Speaker 2: We're not dying. We had a corner get drafted in
- 1:46:15Speaker 2: the first round of the drafts. You see that? No second, Oh,
- 1:46:19Speaker 2: you're right, because I forgot. We got to do Yeah,
- 1:46:21Speaker 2: we gotta do. You gotta do bad?
- 1:46:23Speaker 1: Yeah, I thought, man, I mean that is crazy that
- 1:46:29Speaker 1: a corner is a white corner in the NFL. Right now,
- 1:46:32Speaker 1: that's the crazy ship ever, the new world you're living in.
- 1:46:36Speaker 2: We can't do about it. I get it. I'm gonna
- 1:46:40Speaker 2: put this thing in reverse. We get the fun out
- 1:46:42Speaker 2: of this subject.
- 1:46:43Speaker 4: If we got away. Yeah, shout out Max Cross. That's
- 1:46:48Speaker 4: what That's what I got for this segment. Shout out
- 1:46:51Speaker 4: to my homie Max, no doubt, no doubt.
- 1:46:55Speaker 2: So Pittsburgh's good, Cleveland's good. You hate the choice, Let's
- 1:46:58Speaker 2: get into that.
- 1:47:01Speaker 4: He defended. What else can I say? Told me not
- 1:47:05Speaker 4: to say.
- 1:47:08Speaker 2: Guys can't say words. Now, I don't step off of
- 1:47:13Speaker 2: THEO before you pussing cubs.
- 1:47:15Speaker 6: And I don't know if Will and Taylor saw this,
- 1:47:18Speaker 6: but I guess Bunny caught Bailey sneak out on cameras
- 1:47:21Speaker 6: and they're just like crawling through the grass.
- 1:47:23Speaker 4: She's got like eight million views. Yeah, yeah, she was.
- 1:47:28Speaker 4: She did a barrel roll like in the army. Yeah.
- 1:47:34Speaker 4: This this my house is funny. Man? Is the just
- 1:47:41Speaker 4: poo oop, little crouch tiger crawl?
- 1:47:43Speaker 5: They think they're getting out of there, I really thought,
- 1:47:46Speaker 5: and I watched the disappointment.
- 1:47:47Speaker 2: Damn ye, Security's sending them right back home security.
- 1:47:55Speaker 4: I don't know what she was thinking. So she gets
- 1:47:57Speaker 4: down the driveway and he's like, Yo, the fuck are
- 1:48:00Speaker 4: y'all going? I was saying, camera, he's so gangster that
- 1:48:06Speaker 4: that he goes. I won't tell him till tomorrow. Get your.
- 1:48:12Speaker 2: That is hilarious.
- 1:48:14Speaker 4: Yeah, man, formula, it's a sixteen year old the farm.
- 1:48:17Speaker 2: You know what you got cooking here?
- 1:48:18Speaker 4: Five hundred acres? Me and Bunny just went to look
- 1:48:20Speaker 4: at it. I actually was I just the call I
- 1:48:24Speaker 4: was having while I was ten minutes later. I was
- 1:48:25Speaker 4: here on time, but I was talking about this farm.
- 1:48:30Speaker 2: I'm gonna snap it up.
- 1:48:31Speaker 4: It's pretty much done.
- 1:48:32Speaker 2: What are we gonna do with it?
- 1:48:34Speaker 4: I'm torn, MANU the bus, Yeah, wherever y'all want. The
- 1:48:39Speaker 4: way it's divided is there's three ridges divided by two
- 1:48:44Speaker 4: creeks like this, an upper and a lower, and there's
- 1:48:48Speaker 4: three entrances to the property. I think the side with
- 1:48:51Speaker 4: two entrances, I'm gonna build a family compound. And on
- 1:48:54Speaker 4: the other one hundred acres I'm gonna subdivide and make
- 1:48:56Speaker 4: a you know, make a play.
- 1:48:59Speaker 2: No shit, you better go off that property. Huh. I
- 1:49:02Speaker 2: think so, Hey, that is nice.
- 1:49:05Speaker 4: I think so got some beautiful man some hunting land
- 1:49:08Speaker 4: out there. Man, five hundred acres. Cop, Dude, I cried,
- 1:49:12Speaker 4: it's unreal. It's like, I mean, that is the dream.
- 1:49:14Speaker 4: That is unreal.
- 1:49:15Speaker 2: Man, that is awesome.
- 1:49:16Speaker 4: I had. I have a rich uncle. His name's Uncle Befford. Man.
- 1:49:18Speaker 4: It's been really good to me in my whole life.
- 1:49:20Speaker 4: He just made really good decisions, owned a dry cleaning company,
- 1:49:24Speaker 4: saved his money. Right, he bought like four or five
- 1:49:26Speaker 4: hundred acres in Williamson County thirty years ago. So you
- 1:49:30Speaker 4: know what that's worth now? Crazy? And when I was
- 1:49:34Speaker 4: a kid, the first time I ever shot a gun.
- 1:49:35Speaker 4: I went and shot it there, and I remember leaving
- 1:49:39Speaker 4: and leaving and I asked my father, I go, man,
- 1:49:40Speaker 4: how come we don't have one of those? He was like, well,
- 1:49:42Speaker 4: just just wasn't in our cards. But if you ever
- 1:49:44Speaker 4: want one, you just got to got a plan for it,
- 1:49:46Speaker 4: make the right financial decisions to get it. Then, ever
- 1:49:50Speaker 4: since then I wanted one. I was one of farm
- 1:49:52Speaker 4: killed my first quail out there, learned how to ride
- 1:49:55Speaker 4: a four wheeler out of that farm. You know, my dad,
- 1:49:56Speaker 4: Me and my dad go out there all the time.
- 1:49:58Speaker 4: And Beautiford didn't even live out there back then. It
- 1:50:00Speaker 4: was something else he believed in. Was like he bought
- 1:50:02Speaker 4: the farmers the dream. He just let it, you know,
- 1:50:05Speaker 4: had like a little farmhouse on He was just like
- 1:50:06Speaker 4: one day, yeah, you know, and now him and his
- 1:50:09Speaker 4: wife live out there and that's where you know, the
- 1:50:10Speaker 4: end of their life there in their late seventies. But
- 1:50:12Speaker 4: it's really cool. So yeah, just getting to do it
- 1:50:14Speaker 4: was like, yeah, this is it. But if I keep
- 1:50:16Speaker 4: being successful, I'm gonna build three or four houses in
- 1:50:18Speaker 4: the studio and move my whole family and have a
- 1:50:20Speaker 4: little jelly roll neighborhood and then I'm on the other
- 1:50:22Speaker 4: side and make a little play.
- 1:50:23Speaker 2: That's awesome, man, man, it's cool.
- 1:50:26Speaker 4: It's cool to see Bunny get excited. When we pulled in,
- 1:50:28Speaker 4: she was like, it's kind of lacklesser. She's also from
- 1:50:31Speaker 4: the desert. Yeah, like I want, like, you got to
- 1:50:34Speaker 4: remember that you're from Texas but went to school in Michigan.
- 1:50:38Speaker 2: Arizona, Michigan.
- 1:50:39Speaker 4: Yeah, Arizona went to school in Michigan. You know a
- 1:50:41Speaker 4: little bit about the desert, so you get this too, Like,
- 1:50:43Speaker 4: but you got to see more of the green side
- 1:50:45Speaker 4: of America. Yeah, she grew up in a desert, you
- 1:50:47Speaker 4: know what I mean.
- 1:50:48Speaker 2: So like her.
- 1:50:49Speaker 4: Still. The first time we did a show in Indiana,
- 1:50:51Speaker 4: I remember her filming the trees because he was just like, yo.
- 1:51:00Speaker 2: Know and just having all those bullshit pictures in your
- 1:51:02Speaker 2: mouth a little bit of.
- 1:51:06Speaker 4: So she kind of get in. But when we got
- 1:51:07Speaker 4: up on that first ridge and it just opened up,
- 1:51:10Speaker 4: it was like the light of God ah and she
- 1:51:13Speaker 4: I just watched her. She said, oh, we gotta do this,
- 1:51:16Speaker 4: And I was like, I told you, man, we turned
- 1:51:18Speaker 4: the gator off. No noise pollution. Couldn't hear a highway,
- 1:51:23Speaker 4: you know, you don't hear nothing but just nature, genuine nature.
- 1:51:26Speaker 4: I was like, this is what we need. That's awesome, man,
- 1:51:30Speaker 4: it's the dream. Baby.
- 1:51:31Speaker 5: Before we get off here, anything for us to look
- 1:51:33Speaker 5: forward to the CMA Fest, you're gonna make another speech.
- 1:51:38Speaker 4: Well, I can tell you this. At CMA Fest, I'm
- 1:51:41Speaker 4: gonna bring out a guest. I'm gonna have a real
- 1:51:43Speaker 4: special set. It's gonna be my first time playing the
- 1:51:47Speaker 4: big stage at the stadium. Last time I got to
- 1:51:49Speaker 4: play the satellite stage. So it's gonna be a really,
- 1:51:52Speaker 4: really really big thing. And we're playing Saturday. We got
- 1:51:54Speaker 4: the best night. I'm hosting the whole thing for TV
- 1:51:58Speaker 4: and Ashley McBride or we're hosting the because they do
- 1:52:00Speaker 4: c M A fes becomes a TV show and we're
- 1:52:02Speaker 4: hosting it.
- 1:52:04Speaker 2: No ship.
- 1:52:06Speaker 4: Call the other day. Our scriptwriting call is fun. It's cool.
- 1:52:10Speaker 4: She's fun too. I don't know if y'all ever met
- 1:52:11Speaker 4: Ask mccravat. She's a real bad ass.
- 1:52:13Speaker 5: I don't think I have not met her, unless that
- 1:52:15Speaker 5: maybe as you've been in one of the softball games,
- 1:52:17Speaker 5: because we'll be doing that. Actually, by the time this
- 1:52:20Speaker 5: comes out the day after we had a great we
- 1:52:24Speaker 5: had a great time.
- 1:52:25Speaker 4: This was a great week. So this is c M
- 1:52:27Speaker 4: a fest week My I don't think they're live stream
- 1:52:30Speaker 4: my set, but it will be on the show portion
- 1:52:32Speaker 4: that will come out in a couple of months. And
- 1:52:34Speaker 4: if you're in Nashville, come see at the Stadium all weekend.
- 1:52:36Speaker 4: It's a really really come see us Nissan Stadium. Uh,
- 1:52:41Speaker 4: jelly roll hardy. I mean, dude, I can't even remember
- 1:52:44Speaker 4: the lineups. Insane. It's it's c M as the biggest
- 1:52:46Speaker 4: lineup on her a banger. Come out to Keith Urbans,
- 1:52:50Speaker 4: crazy nuts cycle, his whole news, his whole new project
- 1:52:55Speaker 4: is awesome. He literally does it the way he wants
- 1:52:59Speaker 4: to do it. It's so cool to watch you at
- 1:53:01Speaker 4: Kelsey Brothers, Osborn, Cody Johnson, my boy, Cody Johnson. He's
- 1:53:05Speaker 4: fucking one of the greatest dudes ever. Ash McBride, Parker,
- 1:53:09Speaker 4: Meghan Maroney, John Party, Carly Thomas, Rhnt, Keith Urban, Warren,
- 1:53:13Speaker 4: Treey Laney, Bailey Zimmerman. It's big weekend. It is a
- 1:53:19Speaker 4: big and there's a bunch of special guests you won't
- 1:53:21Speaker 4: see that are all through out there.
- 1:53:23Speaker 2: Man, what's that Tennessee?
- 1:53:25Speaker 4: Uh, I don't know if there are any of any
- 1:53:29Speaker 4: of them are from Tennessee. I think these are awesome
- 1:53:31Speaker 4: Georgia dudes.
- 1:53:32Speaker 2: Trying to figure out who could be that lineup?
- 1:53:35Speaker 4: This is like, my guest is different. I got a
- 1:53:37Speaker 4: different thing going on. But what the festival itself does?
- 1:53:41Speaker 4: Guess like there's people that are gonna come out that
- 1:53:43Speaker 4: you're gonna be like, no way, I thought this dude
- 1:53:45Speaker 4: was gonna be here, no ship. Yeah, man, they do
- 1:53:47Speaker 4: it right. How's it going to this? Since I was
- 1:53:50Speaker 4: a kid, by the way, least call it fanfare and
- 1:53:52Speaker 4: did it at the fair grounds. You just stoodn't line
- 1:53:55Speaker 4: and waited for autographs. You know, no pictures or nothing.
- 1:53:58Speaker 4: You didn't have a camera. You just went up. They
- 1:54:00Speaker 4: had the dude looked at you, signed his name and
- 1:54:02Speaker 4: handed it to you.
- 1:54:03Speaker 2: The best night in the statu that's all time.
- 1:54:05Speaker 4: That is so cool.
- 1:54:06Speaker 2: Man, talk to me about Ernest.
- 1:54:08Speaker 4: Dude.
- 1:54:09Speaker 2: We know Ernest has the most talent in the world. Yeah,
- 1:54:12Speaker 2: when is my man gonna get his.
- 1:54:14Speaker 1: Shot and be like triple platinum, no Number one song?
- 1:54:17Speaker 1: When when's that coming from him?
- 1:54:19Speaker 4: It's on the way.
- 1:54:20Speaker 2: I love it.
- 1:54:20Speaker 4: It's so close. Ernest is so close to it. As
- 1:54:22Speaker 4: an artist. The thing about Ernest is is he serves
- 1:54:25Speaker 4: two masters. Ernest is still writing the biggest hits we're hearing,
- 1:54:30Speaker 4: you know what I mean. Yeah, But the thing about
- 1:54:33Speaker 4: Ernest is he's still servicing hits to everybody else, you
- 1:54:36Speaker 4: know what I mean. So he's serving two masters. He's
- 1:54:38Speaker 4: still the go to guy in town to bring into
- 1:54:40Speaker 4: a room if you need to get one across the line. Yeah,
- 1:54:43Speaker 4: you know what I mean. So, and that's paying a
- 1:54:44Speaker 4: lot of the bills too, So he's kind of struggling.
- 1:54:47Speaker 4: I tell you what I am trying to do, And
- 1:54:48Speaker 4: you should harass him about this. We should corner him.
- 1:54:51Speaker 4: I'm trying to bring him on. Fuck it, I'll say
- 1:54:55Speaker 4: it here. We are adding fifteen seventeen show to my tour.
- 1:55:01Speaker 4: My first arena tour was scheduled to be forty two
- 1:55:05Speaker 4: cities and they're already almost completely sold out, so we're
- 1:55:09Speaker 4: adding like another fifteen. But this won't come out for
- 1:55:12Speaker 4: another few weeks, which now y'all know though it's coming.
- 1:55:14Speaker 4: But for those fifteen dates, I couldn't keep warning Alexander
- 1:55:17Speaker 4: because they had already had previous commitments. For the extra
- 1:55:20Speaker 4: seventeen it might be twenty dates between us. No shit, yeah,
- 1:55:23Speaker 4: and uh so I'm calling Ernest like come, He's like,
- 1:55:26Speaker 4: I don't. I can't tour the way you tour. He
- 1:55:28Speaker 4: really anchors himself down into a normal life Monday through Wednesday,
- 1:55:32Speaker 4: like he'll go write songs. But he's there with Delaney,
- 1:55:34Speaker 4: they're gardening, he's with Rym and he's like super dad,
- 1:55:37Speaker 4: super husband. He lives like he's like fucking you know Batman, right,
- 1:55:42Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying. It's like and then he
- 1:55:43Speaker 4: puts on the Batman outfit on Thursdays and goes and
- 1:55:46Speaker 4: he's Ernest Thursday, Friday, Saturday where when Jelly Row leaves
- 1:55:49Speaker 4: for a tour, kissed the Laney and Ryman or put
- 1:55:52Speaker 4: him on the bus. But you're not coming home for
- 1:55:53Speaker 4: forty five days. You know what I'm saying.
- 1:55:55Speaker 2: It's like, I just do it right.
- 1:55:57Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying. Ernest is like I can't
- 1:55:59Speaker 4: do that. I was like being a puss. I'll have
- 1:56:01Speaker 4: a nurse, we'll get ivs. You know what I'm saying.
- 1:56:03Speaker 4: We'll be okay, all right, if I can do it,
- 1:56:05Speaker 4: you can do it.
- 1:56:05Speaker 2: So we need to corn him and get him on
- 1:56:07Speaker 2: this get him be huge, dude, and I like.
- 1:56:09Speaker 4: Do it with your friend, man, why not you do
- 1:56:12Speaker 4: the reason he tours with Morgan, It's the reason I'm
- 1:56:14Speaker 4: going out and doing five shows with Morgan this summer tour.
- 1:56:16Speaker 4: With your friends, man, it's the reason I open up
- 1:56:18Speaker 4: for air Church all the time. It don't matter how
- 1:56:20Speaker 4: big I am, I want to go be with my friends.
- 1:56:21Speaker 2: Yeah, you know what I mean.
- 1:56:23Speaker 1: Why in the from a game standpoint of music, why
- 1:56:27Speaker 1: wouldn't Ernest start keeping those hits for himself.
- 1:56:32Speaker 4: I think he's just got such a good flow over there.
- 1:56:34Speaker 4: And I think Ernest ain't in a rush to be
- 1:56:36Speaker 4: a celebrity. To be honest, I think Ernest is just
- 1:56:39Speaker 4: like man, I'm just he's gonna do it his way.
- 1:56:41Speaker 4: He's not gonna do any of the another part of
- 1:56:44Speaker 4: it too, if we're gonna be frank with each other
- 1:56:45Speaker 4: as the traveling you know what I mean, Like he's
- 1:56:47Speaker 4: really he really is honest with me when he's like yo, man,
- 1:56:50Speaker 4: Like I like being just a normal dude. Three days
- 1:56:53Speaker 4: a week, I go right from nine in the morning
- 1:56:55Speaker 4: to three in the afternoon. I stop by Losers and
- 1:56:57Speaker 4: have lunch, drink a couple of beers, go home to
- 1:56:59Speaker 4: my wife because I got a really cool thing. Then
- 1:57:01Speaker 4: I can go be a rock star of my best
- 1:57:03Speaker 4: friends on the weekends, you know what I mean. Where
- 1:57:04Speaker 4: it's like I'm like, I'm like, oh, we're doing busting
- 1:57:07Speaker 4: with the boys and stay cool. Well let's squeeze in
- 1:57:09Speaker 4: Kimel while we're on that side of the coast, and
- 1:57:10Speaker 4: let's do this while we're out there, you know what
- 1:57:11Speaker 4: I mean. Like I'm just in constant, Like you know,
- 1:57:14Speaker 4: I'm more like Burt Kreischer, you know, in constant go.
- 1:57:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:57:19Speaker 4: So I think Ernest is really cool just writing songs
- 1:57:22Speaker 4: and and he I love that Ernest is willing to
- 1:57:25Speaker 4: die on the heel of his own artistic sound. He
- 1:57:28Speaker 4: doesn't want to make commercial records. He loves making old country,
- 1:57:32Speaker 4: Roberts Western world kind of records. He's not looking for
- 1:57:35Speaker 4: something to get played at Dirks Bentley's. He's looking for
- 1:57:38Speaker 4: something to get played at Roberts. You know what I mean.
- 1:57:39Speaker 4: He just got it. He just loves the old feeling
- 1:57:42Speaker 4: of this old sad. I was listening to it last night.
- 1:57:44Speaker 4: That record with him and Laney is just so old
- 1:57:46Speaker 4: school country. I could if I would, but I can't,
- 1:57:50Speaker 4: so I won't, but I won't to, you know what
- 1:57:53Speaker 4: I mean saying like, just fucking what a fucking genius.
- 1:57:56Speaker 2: You know he really is. So he's so talented and
- 1:57:59Speaker 2: that's real, Taylor.
- 1:58:00Speaker 4: They don't joke when Garth Brooks said he started that
- 1:58:02Speaker 4: radio station so people could hear country the way it's
- 1:58:05Speaker 4: intended to hear. I'm dealing with this now that I've
- 1:58:07Speaker 4: become an international artist. You get outside of America, they
- 1:58:11Speaker 4: immediately won't play anything on any radio station or play
- 1:58:15Speaker 4: listing in other countries. It has a pedal steel on.
- 1:58:17Speaker 4: It was that you got a fiddle or a steel guitar.
- 1:58:20Speaker 4: It's just two country. Really yep, that's a true story.
- 1:58:24Speaker 4: And Ernest his whole album is fiddles and steel guitars,
- 1:58:27Speaker 4: you know what I mean. For me, it was like
- 1:58:29Speaker 4: I took the fiddle off of Nita Favor and just
- 1:58:32Speaker 4: sent it. I was like, okay, cool, we'll just send
- 1:58:33Speaker 4: it without the done none none which is actually a
- 1:58:38Speaker 4: fiddle with voices over it, but there was a fiddle
- 1:58:40Speaker 4: behind it doing it and we from Needa Favorite, so
- 1:58:44Speaker 4: we had to take it off or international radio was
- 1:58:46Speaker 4: like we won't play it.
- 1:58:47Speaker 2: Yeah, that is wild, all the all the nuances of
- 1:58:52Speaker 2: music in the business side.
- 1:58:54Speaker 4: Jack you got it?
- 1:58:54Speaker 3: Tear talk, Yeah, that's your talk.
- 1:58:57Speaker 6: There's a couple of options. One was so Round, which
- 1:59:00Speaker 6: I fuck is just kind of a look hanging through
- 1:59:02Speaker 6: like top three artists. I think we're better than that.
- 1:59:05Speaker 6: Another one that we would have to take some time
- 1:59:08Speaker 6: and think about. But you could create three fictional band
- 1:59:12Speaker 6: names and then you give like an idea of what
- 1:59:15Speaker 6: the band is, and then you rank them like hypothetically.
- 1:59:19Speaker 4: Like you're like your favorite, our own made band. Yeah,
- 1:59:23Speaker 4: that would be hard to talk.
- 1:59:25Speaker 2: That'd be hard tear talk.
- 1:59:27Speaker 3: I know that's something I we need. You might need
- 1:59:29Speaker 3: a little more preparation for. Or you go best condiments,
- 1:59:36Speaker 3: I believe it or not.
- 1:59:37Speaker 4: I'm any one of those three can work for me.
- 1:59:40Speaker 4: Let's talk and I've got three. I got three artists
- 1:59:44Speaker 4: of all time that here's a question, James, Jim and
- 1:59:48Speaker 4: Bob Baby, James and Bob.
- 1:59:51Speaker 6: You can write a song with anybody dead or alive
- 1:59:54Speaker 6: hit hit record number one?
- 1:59:57Speaker 3: Who you take it?
- 1:59:58Speaker 4: Dead or alive? There he's still living. I would love
- 2:00:04Speaker 4: to sit down and watch the way James Taylor writes songs.
- 2:00:08Speaker 4: Why is that it's just different man. You know, he
- 2:00:11Speaker 4: taught himself the guitar, so he plays like weird shapes,
- 2:00:14Speaker 4: like different shapes than most people play. And his his
- 2:00:18Speaker 4: songwriting is just style has always been so abstract. He's
- 2:00:22Speaker 4: just He's my favorite songwriter. Him, Jim Croachey, Bob Dylan,
- 2:00:26Speaker 4: those are my favorite songwriters of all time. So I'd
- 2:00:28Speaker 4: love to sit down and and I think he would
- 2:00:31Speaker 4: give me more. I'd love to see how Bob writes
- 2:00:33Speaker 4: a song. But I could imagine Bob kind of being tough,
- 2:00:35Speaker 4: you know, just kind of He's so elusive and doesn't talk.
- 2:00:38Speaker 4: I couldn't see him being really engaging. Yeah, where I
- 2:00:40Speaker 4: could imagine Jim looking at me like, what do you
- 2:00:42Speaker 4: think if we turn it around like this and we
- 2:00:44Speaker 4: went you know, I'd love to hear how he structures
- 2:00:46Speaker 4: out his song.
- 2:00:48Speaker 2: What are your condiments? Will we can do condiments? I
- 2:00:50Speaker 2: don't know if I'm ready yet, but I can be ready.
- 2:00:53Speaker 2: Do you have yours?
- 2:00:53Speaker 4: Do you know yours?
- 2:00:54Speaker 2: I can probably my condiments? Tomaments is a muster Mayo.
- 2:00:57Speaker 6: Yeah, we're not like Chick fil a song, like any
- 2:01:00Speaker 6: like commercial kind of sauce. It's your strict condiments you
- 2:01:03Speaker 6: find in the side of your fridge.
- 2:01:05Speaker 2: Where do we stand undressing? Is that a condiment?
- 2:01:08Speaker 6: I would say that if you're trying to put a
- 2:01:10Speaker 6: ranch in there, I would I'd let that.
- 2:01:12Speaker 2: All right, I'm ready. You just needed the rain, That's
- 2:01:17Speaker 2: all I need to hear. Yes, absolutely, I'll go first,
- 2:01:19Speaker 2: since we still working on it. My tier.
- 2:01:24Speaker 4: Are you googling condiments right now?
- 2:01:26Speaker 2: Will please?
- 2:01:28Speaker 4: Don't?
- 2:01:28Speaker 2: Please don't interrupt my process.
- 2:01:31Speaker 1: But sometimes you ask you from the heap. My Tier
- 2:01:33Speaker 1: three is going to go to the honey mustard. I
- 2:01:36Speaker 1: think a lot of times it's a great dipping sauce.
- 2:01:39Speaker 1: You can put it on a sandwich. It's got a
- 2:01:41Speaker 1: lot of different lanes that can live in. Honey Mustard
- 2:01:44Speaker 1: to me is fantastic. My Tier two is.
- 2:01:48Speaker 2: Going to go to barbecue sauce. Just as long as
- 2:01:52Speaker 2: we've all been alive.
- 2:01:53Speaker 1: You get a chicken sandwich and you throw a little
- 2:01:55Speaker 1: bit of barbecue sauce on it, You're just not there's
- 2:01:58Speaker 1: no way to get better, you know, just a nice
- 2:02:00Speaker 1: barbecue you can sandwich, boom in and out South which
- 2:02:02Speaker 1: you can sandwich. There's gonna be a spicy barbecue on there.
- 2:02:05Speaker 1: So many different varieties and taste and ingredients, whether it's
- 2:02:08Speaker 1: vinegar or mustard or tomato.
- 2:02:10Speaker 2: You have your bases.
- 2:02:11Speaker 1: But barbecue sauce goes hard so much so that there's cults.
- 2:02:15Speaker 1: Like there's Kansas City Barbecue, There's Texas Barbecue, there's Memphis Barbecue,
- 2:02:19Speaker 1: North Carolina Barbecue, where everybody stands what's up Nashville Barbecue.
- 2:02:24Speaker 1: Everyone plants their flag on the ground, they say ours
- 2:02:26Speaker 1: is the best.
- 2:02:27Speaker 4: What's your favorite barbecue?
- 2:02:28Speaker 2: I was hoping you won't ask me that my favorite
- 2:02:33Speaker 2: barbecue is gonna be.
- 2:02:35Speaker 1: A a honey barbecue, Like I lean towards a sweet
- 2:02:40Speaker 1: more than anything else. Also, I'm a big fan of
- 2:02:42Speaker 1: the Alabama white, Alabama white.
- 2:02:47Speaker 4: I think business alone.
- 2:02:50Speaker 2: Yeah, and my tier one is going to.
- 2:02:52Speaker 1: Go to my gods here, which is ranch. I think
- 2:02:55Speaker 1: there's two kinds of people. There's people that enjoy ranch
- 2:02:58Speaker 1: and there's people that are dead to me that enjoy bluchy.
- 2:03:00Speaker 1: And those people can go fuck themselves disrespect, but disrespect
- 2:03:04Speaker 1: ranches to me the best condiment you can have dipping.
- 2:03:09Speaker 2: I love that list. Thank you love that list. My list.
- 2:03:13Speaker 2: You're right, you're right, you're right.
- 2:03:14Speaker 4: With the word.
- 2:03:21Speaker 5: Electric, I gotta say, incredible, it's a good list. That's
- 2:03:27Speaker 5: a strong links. It made me rethink my list. I'm
- 2:03:30Speaker 5: glad you went first.
- 2:03:31Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, that was my heart. That was purely me
- 2:03:35Speaker 4: because I was gonna go ketch up Mustard mad Eyes.
- 2:03:38Speaker 2: Yeah, but we would have said twelve. Yeah, yeah, I
- 2:03:43Speaker 2: will say that. Oh yes, sorry guys, you boys opinion
- 2:03:48Speaker 2: mouth watering.
- 2:03:49Speaker 1: Oh solid, God, okay, okay, bitch bringing back solid huh mine, dude,
- 2:03:56Speaker 1: this this is so hard, but you kind of sold
- 2:04:01Speaker 1: me on.
- 2:04:03Speaker 4: On barbecue sauce.
- 2:04:05Speaker 5: Barbecue sauce was in my list, but it moved up
- 2:04:07Speaker 5: one because of the range and variety that you have
- 2:04:10Speaker 5: in barbecue sauce.
- 2:04:12Speaker 2: You can do so many different things with it. So
- 2:04:15Speaker 2: my Tier three is now going to be honorable. Mentioned Ranch.
- 2:04:21Speaker 2: Ranch didn't make it. Cheese is on his tear talk.
- 2:04:27Speaker 2: That's the end of the blue cheese.
- 2:04:28Speaker 5: No blue cheese, listen, I fit with your mold blue
- 2:04:31Speaker 5: cheese is dead to me. I hate blue cheese, but
- 2:04:33Speaker 5: I do everybody talks about you get a mature taste,
- 2:04:35Speaker 5: like as you get older, you start enjoying it.
- 2:04:38Speaker 2: That's the thing. You can say my tier three based
- 2:04:41Speaker 2: on how often.
- 2:04:43Speaker 5: I use it is hot sauce. My Tier three is
- 2:04:46Speaker 5: hot sauce. I feel like there's a variety of hot sauces,
- 2:04:49Speaker 5: just like there is barbecue. But the fact of, like
- 2:04:52Speaker 5: you know, using barbecue sauce with marionnade and just slathering
- 2:04:55Speaker 5: ribs on it, all the different styles where you hit
- 2:04:57Speaker 5: the different parts of the country. That is what put
- 2:04:59Speaker 5: bararbecue sauce now at two instead of hot sauce. Because
- 2:05:03Speaker 5: hot sauce I like to put it on stuff, but
- 2:05:04Speaker 5: barbecue sauce you can you can kind of overdo it.
- 2:05:07Speaker 5: So Tier three hot sauce, Tier two barbecue sauce. My
- 2:05:11Speaker 5: tier one condiment my mouth watering just thinking about it.
- 2:05:15Speaker 2: Mayonnaise. I love mayonnaise.
- 2:05:19Speaker 5: Bro I love it damn near on everything, And I
- 2:05:22Speaker 5: feel like it's a good foundational condiment that you can
- 2:05:24Speaker 5: even create with other condiments, Like if you want an aoli,
- 2:05:28Speaker 5: you're using mayo to mix it in there with sarracha.
- 2:05:30Speaker 5: Hot sauce, you can mix it with ketchup. Love mixing
- 2:05:33Speaker 5: mayonnaise with ketchup. But my number one condiment is mayonnaise, mayonnaise,
- 2:05:38Speaker 5: barbecue sauce, hot sauce.
- 2:05:42Speaker 2: Shout out to a ranch hyphenated plot twist Mitch Jack
- 2:05:52Speaker 2: almost gritty Joe, you got a word to rate my list.
- 2:06:00Speaker 4: I'm having to look up conniments now I see why
- 2:06:02Speaker 4: you did it. It's actually plot twistings here. Yeah, kind
- 2:06:05Speaker 4: of jogs your memory a little bit because there's stuff
- 2:06:07Speaker 4: you're like, I didn't think of that as a condiment.
- 2:06:08Speaker 4: It's actually really fire.
- 2:06:09Speaker 2: That's what happened to me with the hot sauce, because
- 2:06:11Speaker 2: that was one because you're a hot sauce line, I know.
- 2:06:15Speaker 4: And it's the same argument of read your three to
- 2:06:18Speaker 4: me again before I give you one word.
- 2:06:20Speaker 5: My honorable mention's ranch. My tier three's hot sauce. Tier
- 2:06:23Speaker 5: two is barbecue sauce. My tier one is mayonnaise.
- 2:06:28Speaker 4: I'm gonna rade solid, rat solid, okayrat solid with the homie,
- 2:06:32Speaker 4: that's a solid list. Pressure Before I start this Jelly
- 2:06:36Speaker 4: Roll's favorite condiments, I've got to ask this question first
- 2:06:38Speaker 4: because I just read a couple of articles and this
- 2:06:40Speaker 4: is a big point of contingency that could change everything.
- 2:06:43Speaker 4: There are people that qualify peanut butter as a condiment.
- 2:06:49Speaker 2: That I almost can't allow that because that Will. I
- 2:06:53Speaker 2: will lean on Will because he is a peanut butter.
- 2:06:55Speaker 4: Die peanut butter?
- 2:06:58Speaker 2: Have you ever been a peanut butter sandwich with chill
- 2:07:00Speaker 2: dipped and chili?
- 2:07:03Speaker 4: Peanut butter is considered a condiment the internet will With
- 2:07:07Speaker 4: that being said, I gotta stand by my.
- 2:07:13Speaker 2: With that being said.
- 2:07:14Speaker 4: With that being said, boys, I'm gonna go in with
- 2:07:16Speaker 4: Ranch number three because I think we can all agree.
- 2:07:18Speaker 4: Ranch is ranch. I'm going to pick hot sauce over
- 2:07:22Speaker 4: barbecue today just because I'm I'm I love a good
- 2:07:27Speaker 4: hot sauce. But if peanut butter is foreshore a condoment,
- 2:07:33Speaker 4: it's by number one by Country Mouths, the greatest condiment
- 2:07:35Speaker 4: that was ever infitted ever. And this is a little
- 2:07:38Speaker 4: deeper because if that's considered a conniment because it's spreadable,
- 2:07:40Speaker 4: that also means nutella and everything in that family, all
- 2:07:43Speaker 4: kind of nut butters.
- 2:07:45Speaker 2: You know what I'm so, you're trying to claim all
- 2:07:47Speaker 2: the nut butters right now.
- 2:07:48Speaker 4: All I'm saying, listen, if we could claim the thirty
- 2:07:50Speaker 4: different kind of barbecues, That's what I'm saying. Yeah, It's
- 2:07:54Speaker 4: like there is you know, there's maple syrup, almond butter,
- 2:07:58Speaker 4: there's cinnamon.
- 2:08:00Speaker 2: It's like you know what I mean, dam have you
- 2:08:04Speaker 2: ever had a peanut butter sandwich?
- 2:08:06Speaker 4: Honorable mention. Here's a hot one till you're ready for
- 2:08:08Speaker 4: this salsa.
- 2:08:09Speaker 5: I want questions so bad. Also was on a couple
- 2:08:13Speaker 5: of lists. I was even guacam guacam Oi is a
- 2:08:16Speaker 5: little bit of a stretch.
- 2:08:17Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a side. Have you ever had a peanut
- 2:08:20Speaker 2: butter sandwich dipped in chili?
- 2:08:21Speaker 1: No?
- 2:08:22Speaker 2: Like five insane? Bro, you love peanut butter like I
- 2:08:25Speaker 2: think you do. You're going to love this, dude.
- 2:08:30Speaker 4: You're gonna love that combination. The greatest sandwich ever, dude, I.
- 2:08:35Speaker 5: Would rate that in two words, almost perfect. You didn't
- 2:08:38Speaker 5: have mayo, so that's why I had the kind of
- 2:08:40Speaker 5: but that peanut butter the top great pool. I'm sick
- 2:08:43Speaker 5: about mine, but I'm proud of myself.
- 2:08:45Speaker 2: I'm gonna take yours. This was a post of yours.
- 2:08:51Speaker 2: It's a big days.
- 2:08:51Speaker 4: It looks like it's missing a little peanut butter though.
- 2:08:54Speaker 2: People in the sandwich is I put it on both sides.
- 2:08:58Speaker 4: I put it on both.
- 2:08:59Speaker 2: Sides in the ass in the middle, I'm just saying.
- 2:09:02Speaker 4: Man.
- 2:09:03Speaker 2: I will say I had a meal an hour before that,
- 2:09:05Speaker 2: so part of me was a little already full.
- 2:09:07Speaker 5: So were you probably you probably just ate that for
- 2:09:10Speaker 5: the picture. Then I couldn't wait chili cooking. When I
- 2:09:13Speaker 5: got home yesterday, it wasn't ready for two more.
- 2:09:15Speaker 4: This was yesterday.
- 2:09:16Speaker 2: Yeah, that photo yesterday.
- 2:09:19Speaker 4: Yeah, that was yesterday. I love it. Man.
- 2:09:22Speaker 5: One year I had charges, She's like, she wanted to
- 2:09:25Speaker 5: cook for me, and she's like, what I want to
- 2:09:27Speaker 5: make you whatever you want to have for your meal
- 2:09:29Speaker 5: on your birthday?
- 2:09:30Speaker 2: And I said, chili and peanut butter sandwiches. Simple man.
- 2:09:34Speaker 4: Based that one. That one is Audrey's it, dude, it is.
- 2:09:40Speaker 2: She dumped some cream cheese in it.
- 2:09:43Speaker 1: Color by the way, cream cheese, sour cream. Yeah, could
- 2:09:48Speaker 1: have could have easily been honorable mentions. I'll take yours.
- 2:09:51Speaker 2: Incredible.
- 2:09:52Speaker 4: Wow, cream cheese, cream cheese. Whoa that changes all the condiments.
- 2:10:01Speaker 1: This is this makes me when hit that fucking pipe again,

- 2:10:20Speaker 2: have you done this past year?
- 2:10:21Speaker 4: Yeah? For what it's worth.
- 2:10:24Speaker 2: When we started it, I was like, man, this might
- 2:10:26Speaker 2: be the shortest podcast, define we might just chill.

- 2:13:17Speaker 2: of Big hugst twn Kisses. All right, do you want
- 2:13:21Speaker 2: to tell context first? So just jump back on the bus.
- 2:13:23Speaker 4: Yeah, So, Bunny. But we'll just you can put this,
- 2:13:26Speaker 4: y'all know hYP We just I don't want to tell
- 2:13:27Speaker 4: this story because you asked about daughter Sweet sixteen. It's
- 2:13:29Speaker 4: how to start it. Ten of When I was a kid,
- 2:13:32Speaker 4: nobody came to anything I did. I was not a
- 2:13:35Speaker 4: popular kid. I'll never forget. I mean, I passed out
- 2:13:38Speaker 4: the RSVPs with the free candy in it to come
- 2:13:40Speaker 4: to my birthday party. My mother would make a table
- 2:13:43Speaker 4: for thirty kids. Not a kid would show up. Damn.
- 2:13:46Speaker 4: I've carried that trauma with me my whole life. Right,
- 2:13:49Speaker 4: So like when I announce a tour, I'm nervous, like,
- 2:13:51Speaker 4: is this gonna be the tour? People quit behind tickets
- 2:13:53Speaker 4: to give a fuck that I'm doing this, Like it
- 2:13:55Speaker 4: really bums me out. Bailey comes to me and goes,
- 2:13:59Speaker 4: I want to do it. We'd sixteen party comes to
- 2:14:01Speaker 4: Bunny and I'm like, no, absolutely not, because Bailey's had
- 2:14:05Speaker 4: a couple of parties that went similar to mind when
- 2:14:07Speaker 4: I was young, and I was like, I'm telling you, man,
- 2:14:09Speaker 4: we're setting this kid off for failure, Like we're gonna
- 2:14:12Speaker 4: put all this money, You're gonna have this big party.
- 2:14:14Speaker 4: And I was the negative voice tailor, and I want
- 2:14:17Speaker 4: to share this story on this ponding with y'all because
- 2:14:19Speaker 4: y'all are fathers. I hope you learn from this. I
- 2:14:21Speaker 4: was so against it and kicking and screaming. It was
- 2:14:25Speaker 4: so hard to get put together. She put it together,
- 2:14:28Speaker 4: and then I was like, well, the good news is
- 2:14:29Speaker 4: we have a big family, you know. But what I've
- 2:14:31Speaker 4: learned is, and this is the hardest part of life.
- 2:14:34Speaker 4: You can pay for the best party ever, you can
- 2:14:36Speaker 4: plan the best party ever, and you can have forty
- 2:14:38Speaker 4: five family members show up, but you can't. You can't
- 2:14:44Speaker 4: plan on fifteen or sixteen year old showing up. You
- 2:14:47Speaker 4: just never know, you know what I mean. It's like,
- 2:14:49Speaker 4: so I was just so nervous for Bailey, and to
- 2:14:54Speaker 4: the point I I mean, I hadn't been that nervous
- 2:14:55Speaker 4: for something in a while, like stomach hurting the day
- 2:14:58Speaker 4: of dude, it was a blast. I was so wrong.
- 2:15:03Speaker 4: I carried that fear for four weeks, that anxiety for
- 2:15:07Speaker 4: four weeks about this party. I was so stressed. I
- 2:15:10Speaker 4: cried about it a couple of times. I was upset.
- 2:15:13Speaker 4: I was worried for she wasn't getting no RSVPs. At first,
- 2:15:16Speaker 4: I was like, this is just not going to go.
- 2:15:17Speaker 4: And even then it was like a typical high school party.
- 2:15:20Speaker 4: We walked in with like twenty RSVPs. So I was like,
- 2:15:24Speaker 4: you know what, that's good, you know what I mean.
- 2:15:26Speaker 4: But I was like, we just need to make sure
- 2:15:28Speaker 4: we got the family here to fill the room up. Dude.
- 2:15:30Speaker 4: By nine o'clock at night, you could tell the pen
- 2:15:33Speaker 4: location was getting dropped. All you've seen was car after
- 2:15:37Speaker 4: a car. It ended up with like hundreds kids from
- 2:15:40Speaker 4: other schools. It turned to one of those parties.
- 2:15:42Speaker 2: No shit turned into like one.
- 2:15:44Speaker 4: Well listen, I left. How about that?
- 2:15:46Speaker 1: I mean.
- 2:15:46Speaker 4: I looked at my wife. My wife looked at me,
- 2:15:48Speaker 4: and I looked at her and she was like, I
- 2:15:49Speaker 4: don't think we got no business here. I was like me, neither.
- 2:15:52Speaker 4: We had security there. I was like, we know they're
- 2:15:53Speaker 4: not going to get too crazy, you know what I mean.
- 2:15:56Speaker 4: I was like, let that run its course, dude. It
- 2:15:57Speaker 4: was the thank you for even asking We got to
- 2:15:59Speaker 4: bring it back on. Here was the coolest thing to
- 2:16:02Speaker 4: see and experience. And what I realized early in the
- 2:16:05Speaker 4: night was the real lesson for me was before one
- 2:16:07Speaker 4: teenager showed up, the whole family was there and I
- 2:16:11Speaker 4: was like, there's if not a kid shows up, it's
- 2:16:13Speaker 4: going to be a great night, you know what I mean.
- 2:16:15Speaker 4: Like it was just such a cool party, man, And
- 2:16:18Speaker 4: it taught me a lot about not projecting. We accidentally
- 2:16:21Speaker 4: project our shit on our children, right, you know what
- 2:16:24Speaker 4: I mean? And I never really wrapped that and rooms
- 2:16:25Speaker 4: still really young, you know what I mean. But think
- 2:16:27Speaker 4: about this in the years to come, because at a
- 2:16:30Speaker 4: place that I had fell short, I projected that on
- 2:16:32Speaker 4: my own daughter, you know what I mean. And it
- 2:16:34Speaker 4: was just really cool to see that turn around and
- 2:16:37Speaker 4: actually be such a heartfelt moment and has a shameless plug.
- 2:16:40Speaker 4: You can see the whole party on Bunny's Patreon
