Today, we come to the closing chapters of 1 Samuel, covering chapters 28 through 31, and we’ll also spend time in Psalm 18. This is a turning point in Israel’s story—and in David’s life—marked by silence, fear, faith, loss, and ultimately, hope.
We’ll witness the tragic end of Saul’s reign, the consequences of choices made apart from God, and the sobering cost of disobedience. At the same time, Psalm 18 lifts our eyes to the faithfulness of the Lord—the God who delivers, who strengthens, and who remains steadfast even when everything else falls apart.
