Latest / The Epstein Chronicles / Jeffrey Epstein Accountability Is Not a “Satanic Panic” — Here’s Why

- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Epstein Chronicles. There is a whole cadre of people out
- 0:08there that think the Epstein files are overblown, and that
- 0:12Jeffrey Epstein was nowhere near as bad as people are
- 0:15making them out, and that this whole entire thing is
- 0:18just overblown, you know, like the satanic panic of the
- 0:22nineteen eighties. And look, I think there's some merit in
- 0:25being skeptical. We should all be skeptical of the things
- 0:29we're told. But where my skepticism ends is where the
- 0:33evidence starts. And over the past seven years, I have
- 0:37seen more than enough evidence to initiate a real investigation,
- 0:42because I assure you there is plenty to panic about.
- 0:45And I don't know if it has to do with
- 0:47cannibalism or kids being eaten. I've never seen any hard
- 0:52evidence for that. Now. We have some emails that are
- 0:55a bit goofy, right, talking about beef jerky storing it
- 0:59at mockers. But when you dig into that, the man
- 1:02he was talking to had a restaurant called Cannibal So
- 1:07I don't know where they eating kids. Maybe I can't
- 1:10confirm that one way or the other, but That's one
- 1:13of those side quests that I have no interest in following,
- 1:18because I think that if you dive into the meat
- 1:20and the potatoes and you work your way through the things,
- 1:23that we can actually prove, all that other stuff will
- 1:26fall into place eventually, right once you open the door.
- 1:30And I think it's important to get that door open,
- 1:33and once we have full transparency and a DOJ or
- 1:37a special council that is only looking for facts and
- 1:41not trying to protect people, then we can get to
- 1:43the bottom of what's a panic and what's not. But
- 1:47until then, I don't want to hear shit about oh,
- 1:49people are overreacting. We don't have any idea what those
- 1:53files truly hold. And while I certainly have my doubts
- 1:56about the most salacious claims that have emerged from the files,
- 2:00we have a full blown investigation. I'm not willing to
- 2:03write anything off, even things that might sound absurd. So
- 2:07today we have an article from the Spectator and the
- 2:10headline the Epstein Files and the New Satanic Panic. This
- 2:15article was authored by Bridget Fetas. I've spent the last
- 2:21few years building an audience of skeptics, and let's be honest,
- 2:24more than a few conspiracy theorists who turned out to
- 2:27be write about some pretty big things. We saw me
- 2:31too devolve into a moral panic where accusation equal guilt
- 2:35and due process was something only a rape apologists cared about.
- 2:39That's not true. That's not true at all. Now, was
- 2:44it a bit overblown? For sure? Were people getting fired
- 2:48for just allegations they were? Should they have had due process?
- 2:52They should have. But when it comes to Jeffrey Epstein
- 2:56and it comes to what's happening to his friends, now,
- 2:59how many years did they have to come forward? How
- 3:02many years did they have to make things right, to
- 3:04reach out and speak to the FBI or local police, whatever.
- 3:08But instead what they did was lied about their relationship.
- 3:11And now that they're getting outed, people want to call
- 3:14it a panic. Here's an idea. Don't hang out with
- 3:17people like Jeffrey Epstein. Pretty simple man now, bridget fantasy.
- 3:22She might not care, she might not give a damn
- 3:25what people do with their spare time or if they
- 3:27hurt kids. But most moral decent people we care. And
- 3:31if you own a business or you run a company,
- 3:34and one of Jeffrey Epstein's disgusting buddies is working for you,
- 3:38you have every right in the world to fire that person. Remember,
- 3:42these are the same people that demanded people get fired
- 3:46for making comments about Charlie Kirk being murdered. Now, look,
- 3:49I don't agree with those comments, and I found them
- 3:52to be quite disgusting, But guess what, they shouldn't be fired, right,
- 3:57you want to talk about a moral panic. We watch
- 4:01COVID turn half the country into snitches who drunk on
- 4:04their own righteousness, routed out neighbors for having a barbecue.
- 4:09We talked endlessly on podcasts about groupthink, social contagion, and mobs.
- 4:13Notice how she says she wasn't talking about Epstein though, Right,
- 4:17She's a tourist like the rest of these people who
- 4:20have a lot to say. They haven't been here from
- 4:22the jump, and she's doing this now to drive engagement.
- 4:26That's it. And trying to compare this to COVID or
- 4:30to any of these other things is just ridiculous. Look,
- 4:35if you weren't hanging out with Jeffrey Epstein, you have
- 4:37nothing to worry about, pretty simple, right, And on some
- 4:42of the biggest questions, the lab laque, institutional corruption, gender
- 4:46of firming care, and the machinery of public manipulation, the
- 4:49conspiracy theorists were vindicated. Well, that's funny. She brings up
- 4:53gender of firming care. So you're worried about kids who
- 4:56are fourteen, fifteen, sixteen getting a sex change but not
- 5:00getting abused. That's weird. If they have the providence to,
- 5:04you know, choose to, as you would put it, engage
- 5:07with Jeffrey Epstein, and do so as a prostitute, then
- 5:11shouldn't they have the kind of providence that's needed to
- 5:15get gender affirming care or whatever you culture warriors call it.
- 5:19I mean, all we hear about is protect the kids,
- 5:21Protect the kids. And now with this situation, it's a
- 5:24moral panic. Doesn't seem very consistent, does it. However, being
- 5:31right about some things has become a license to skip
- 5:34the evidence on the next thing, and the Epstein files
- 5:37are where the license is getting cashed in by everyone
- 5:41tell me you don't know what you're talking about without
- 5:43telling me you don't know what you're talking about. Now,
- 5:46before you go screaming pedal apologist, I didn't mean the
- 5:49people who want transparency. I don't mean the people who
- 5:51think powerful predators should face consequences. I mean the people,
- 5:56our people, My people, who are treating a document dump
- 5:59like a decorring, connecting dots that don't connect, assigning guilt
- 6:03by association, and whipping their audiences into a frenzy that
- 6:07believes the ball worshiping elites definitely drank the blood of
- 6:11the infants and turned them into jerky with the confidence
- 6:14of someone who has never once been wrong about anything.
- 6:18Sure sounds like what Q was doing for all those years,
- 6:20bridget Did you have anything to say about that? Anything
- 6:23to say about Oh Tom Hanks is at gitmo Oprah's
- 6:27being brought to a black site to be interrogated, ther
- 6:30storm is gathering. Shut up, please, just shut up. Because
- 6:33all of that was cool, right, All of that was
- 6:36within the realm of reality. That was all stuff that
- 6:40could really happen. But this, this is a step too far. Look, folks,
- 6:45never mind what you've seen, never mind what you've read.
- 6:49You should just listen to what people like this author
- 6:51tell you because they obviously know better. Pass Vindication has
- 6:56turned into its own form of authority, and it's just
- 6:59as unearned and just as dangerous as the institutional authority
- 7:03it replaced. The skeptics and the conspiracy theorists have merged
- 7:07into one giant horseshoe shaped audience, and they found the
- 7:10one panic that they all have permission to join. Is
- 7:13she upset that she wasn't on this story from the jump?
- 7:17Is that what it is? Seems like there's a lot
- 7:19of that going around. Look, I get it, you had
- 7:22a blind spot, you missed it, But doubling down and
- 7:25acting like there's nothing here is wild azell. And here's
- 7:30the thing. This isn't a left right problem. It's an
- 7:33everyone problem. The extremely online Democrats are wielding the Epstein
- 7:37connection as a cudgel against Trump. Branding is entire orbit
- 7:41as the Epstein class, while they are are you crazy
- 7:45right now? How many Epstein adjacent people are around Trump?
- 7:49How many were around Biden? How many were around George
- 7:52Bush and Barack Obama? So yeah, the Epstein class, proper
- 7:56way to classify these people. Extremely online Republicans are convince
- 8:00the files will finally expose the network of democratic pedal elites.
- 8:04She had no problem with that before, right, she cashed
- 8:07in on that. I'm sure I built an audience on skeptics,
- 8:11And yeah, none of them thought that this was going on.
- 8:14None of them thought that the WEF was coming to
- 8:17steal your kids. Remember all of that. Klau Schwarber or
- 8:22whatever his name was, was the most evil man ever
- 8:25to do it. Meanwhile, do was nothing but a pawn.
- 8:28You want to talk about whipping your audience up into
- 8:30a frenzy, That's how people like this build their audience.
- 8:33But now, now stop asking questions. Just listen to what
- 8:38the government's telling you, because they're telling you the truth. Now.
- 8:41Of course, when the other party gets into power, everything
- 8:44will be a conspiracy again, everything, but this with tangible evidence.
- 8:49This is a moral panic. Both sides are looking at
- 8:52the same documents and seeing completely different movies. The Epstein
- 8:55files are like a box of chocolates. There's something in
- 8:58there for everyone. We've seen versions of this movie before.
- 9:02In the eighties and early nineties, the satanic panic consumed America.
- 9:06Preschool teachers were accused of ritual abuse. Yeah, did they
- 9:10go to the island. Did they hang out at Jeffrey
- 9:13Epstein's house with traffic girls? Did they accept money from
- 9:19Jeffrey Epstein? Did they pass on state secrets? A word?
- 9:23None of that happened, Okay, so you're just talking nonsense,
- 9:27got it. Families were destroyed, people went to prison, the
- 9:32whole thing was built on nothing, recovered memories, leading questions,
- 9:36and a culture so desperate to protect children that it
- 9:39went into some kind of collective hysteria. And the irony
- 9:42is thick. The same people that yelled for the last
- 9:46eight years about protect the children now say it's a
- 9:50moral panic and hysteria. Who are these people really protecting?
- 9:54And what's the goal here? That's my real question. The
- 9:58Epstein situation is different in one critical respect. Jeffrey Epstein
- 10:03was a real predator, Real crimes were committed. We know
- 10:06the real victims exist. But that kernel of truth is
- 10:09exactly what makes this current panic more dangerous, not less.
- 10:13It gives everyone permission to treat speculation as truth, proximity
- 10:18is proof, and a flight log as a conviction. Well,
- 10:21who are you listening to? That's the problem. Get your
- 10:24information from other people. Nobody who's serious about this story
- 10:28or serious about justice is chasing those salacious ghosts. That's
- 10:34all going to come in time, because guess what, there
- 10:37are verifiable crimes here that are provable, and frankly, it's
- 10:40not even debatable. The fact that something terrible actually happened
- 10:44becomes a justification for whatever theory you might want to push,
- 10:48isn't it weird? Man? Is compelling and it might be true,
- 10:52but it's not evidence. Well, you know what is evidence.
- 10:56All those witness statements, all those core documents, all those
- 11:00people who corroborated the stories that we've heard time and
- 11:03time again over forty girls from Palm Beach High School
- 11:07who were abused. That's real. Okay, that shit is real,
- 11:11and there's plenty of evidence to support it, just like
- 11:14there's plenty of evidence that Jeffrey Epstein was trafficking people.
- 11:19I mean, we just have a report coming out of
- 11:21England today about Epstein trafficking women and girls through UK
- 11:26all the way up till his death. And that's something
- 11:28I've been telling you for years, that Jeffrey Epstein was
- 11:31active all the way up till his death. And there's
- 11:34plenty of compelling evidence to prove that. And the medium
- 11:38has evolved. The Satanic panic was fueled by daytime talk
- 11:41shows Heraldo, Sally Jesse, Raphael Oprah. These shows had massive
- 11:46reach and whole obligation to verify anything before putting it
- 11:49in front of millions of eyeballs. They fed on the
- 11:52fear and guilt of the first generation of women to
- 11:55trust their kids todaycares and mass They didn't spread the
- 11:58panic because they were They spread it because it was
- 12:02an incredible television Now, mind you, in the opening paragraph
- 12:06of this piece, she told you that's exactly how she
- 12:09built her audience. By the way, that's not how I
- 12:12built mine. I don't talk about Slasia's bullshit here, okay,
- 12:16and keeping it a buck. Everybody wants names, names, names.
- 12:19I've been naming names now for seven years. You know
- 12:22those names that were just called out on the Congressional floor.
- 12:26I've been calling them dudes out since twenty nineteen, way
- 12:29before they were popular or this story was popular. Now,
- 12:33one thing I will say is there's a lot of
- 12:35people that have shown up that are doing exactly what
- 12:38Bridget is suggesting here. There's a lot of people that
- 12:41are only focusing on the salacious aspects of the story,
- 12:44and that really doesn't do it any good because it
- 12:47gives room for pieces like this to pop up and
- 12:50then everybody gets painted with the same brush. It's the
- 12:53same shit that I dealt with for the last seven years,
- 12:58trying to put everybody under the same umbrella. And that's
- 13:00not the truth because for some of us This shit
- 13:03is not a game. This is not about engagement, it's
- 13:06not about driving viewership. I don't care about any of that.
- 13:10I don't have any kind of social media presence because
- 13:12I don't care. I don't care about being famous, I
- 13:14don't care about being popular. I don't care about any
- 13:17of it. What I care about is these scumbags who
- 13:20have been screwing all of us for all these years
- 13:22are held accountable. And if that's via financial crimes, so
- 13:26be it. If they're guilty, they should go to jail
- 13:29like everybody else. And if that's a panic, well I
- 13:32guess I'm a fucking panicking. Podcasting is the daytime talk
- 13:37show of our era, only worse. They're no producers who
- 13:40might occasionally pump the brakes, no network standard departments, no FCC, nothing,
- 13:45just a microphone, an audience, and an algorithm that rewards
- 13:49the most outrageous possible interpretation of any given event. I mean,
- 13:55look not for nothing, But isn't that exactly what you
- 13:59and all your friends do? And isn't that what you're
- 14:01doing here taking the contrarian position to try and drive
- 14:05the algorithm, as Candace Owens has demonstrated with impressive consistency.
- 14:10You can be wrong every single day, demonstrably, provably wrong,
- 14:13and your audience will only grow because they aren't here
- 14:16for accuracy. They come for the feeling of being on
- 14:19the right side of a secret history that the normies
- 14:22are too naive to see. While she's outing herself right
- 14:25here as somebody that looks like she despises her own audience.
- 14:30That seems like a pretty bad idea. This is the
- 14:33incentive structure that has eaten the American discourse alive. Our
- 14:37institutions have failed so completely that people will believe whatever
- 14:41they want to believe, and the market has responded accordingly.
- 14:45You see, here's the problem. Instead of attacking the institutions
- 14:48like she should, she has a problem with people who
- 14:51are filling in the gaps. But that's human nature when
- 14:55we don't have the whole story. So be mad at
- 14:56the institution, be mad at the Department of Justice, be
- 15:00mad at the administration. But instead she wants to be
- 15:03mad at her own listeners, her own viewers, her own readers.
- 15:11There is no penalty for wild speculation, no reputational cost
- 15:15to being wrong. The crazier the allegation, the more your
- 15:18audience trusts you because in a world where every institution
- 15:21has lied to you, the person saying the most unbelievable
- 15:24thing must be the one telling the truth. Everyone on
- 15:28all sides knows this, and everyone on all sides is
- 15:32cashing in. It doesn't matter what team jersey you're wearing,
- 15:35the Epstein Files or content event of the year, and
- 15:38no one is leaving money on the table except me apparently.
- 15:42So this is exactly what I was saying. Seems to me,
- 15:45she's upset because she doesn't know the real story, so
- 15:49she's forced to play catch up, and this is not
- 15:51the story to do it. So instead of really giving
- 15:54it a good hard look and looking at the actual evidence,
- 15:58she's decided that she's going to full on the most
- 16:00salacious part of it and trying to mean everybody who's interested,
- 16:05and frankly, I think it's sour grapes. And if you notice,
- 16:09a lot of the people who are talking trash about
- 16:12this story about what's going on here were the people
- 16:14that rose to prominence with COVID, But now they're not
- 16:18the main character anymore. And it's a big deal. Oh
- 16:20we're what do you mean, We're not part of this story.
- 16:23We didn't break it no, you didn't. In fact, you
- 16:26don't even know what you're talking about. It would be
- 16:33depressing where it's solely a content game, but it's not.
- 16:37Real people are getting caught in the insanity. Not a
- 16:40word about the survivors, not a word about the girls
- 16:42who were abused, not a word about the rest of
- 16:44us who are getting fucked by these people. But real
- 16:47people are getting caught up in the insanity. When Representatives
- 16:51Row Conna and Thomas Massey, a Democrat and a Republican
- 16:54united in bipartisan recklessness, started naming names and amplifying allegations
- 16:59from the fire, they weren't performing some brave act of transparency.
- 17:03They were directing a mob at specific human beings, like
- 17:07you did during COVID. I mean, you folks were just
- 17:09so pleasant during that. Do they think we've all forgotten?
- 17:14I mean, the grift was out of control. Everybody all
- 17:17of a sudden was a scientist. Take this, take that,
- 17:20Oh this is fake, this is real. Meanwhile, I kept
- 17:23my mouth shut, you know why, because I had no
- 17:25idea what I was talking about. Kind Of like all
- 17:29these people when it comes to Epstein, Some of those
- 17:32people turned out to be ordinary citizens with no connection
- 17:35to anything criminal. It didn't matter. The names were out.
- 17:38The Internet did what the Internet does. People who had
- 17:42done nothing wrong became targets because congressmen wanted an engagement,
- 17:46and a culture that has replaced due process with virality
- 17:49gave him the tools to get it. The Satanic Panic
- 17:52destroyed real people too. That's the part everyone forgets. It
- 17:56wasn't just a weird cultural moment. Innocent people went to prison,
- 17:59children were traumatized by the investigations meant to protect them.
- 18:03We tell ourselves we've learned from that, and then we
- 18:06do it again with better technology and a bigger audience.
- 18:09The question isn't whether Jeffrey Epstein was a monster. He was.
- 18:13The question is whether the people who correctly identified pass
- 18:16moral panics can resist turning a real crime into everything
- 18:20crime for clicks. No one in media paid a price
- 18:23for the NonStop, silacious fear mongering of the Satanic Panic.
- 18:27They all got richer, like all of you did during COVID,
- 18:30I mean, stop it. Could you be any more of
- 18:33a hypocrite? Holy shit? Although if you're all the way
- 18:37down the Epstein rabbit hole, you probably think it's evidence
- 18:40that the widely debunked satanic panic stuff was in fact
- 18:43also real. While I disagree with the author about most
- 18:47of the things she's saying, what she asked to say
- 18:49about some of the more salacious stuff is not completely
- 18:52incorrect because it does more harm than good. And there's
- 18:55a lot of people out there that are trying to
- 18:56capitalize on this and monetize it without the real story.
- 19:01So what they're doing is grasping onto the most relacious
- 19:03parts and trying to use those for engagement farming. So
- 19:07in that regard, she's right, there's a lot of people
- 19:10out there that really just don't have any idea what
- 19:12they're talking about. And as we can see here in
- 19:14the article that goes for journalists as well, all right, folks,
- 19:18that's going to do it for this one. All the
- 19:20information that goes with this episode can be found in
- 19:23the description box,
