- Lucas: Okay, so we have done a lot of verbs lately. We did 'å lage', 'å gjøre', 'å kjøpe'... but there is one verb we have not covered yet, and it is super common. Luna: Ooh, which one? Lucas: The verb 'å se'. That means 'to see'. Luna: Å se. Okay, that sounds simple enough. How do I say 'I see'? Lucas: Jeg ser. s e r. Jeg ser. Luna: Jeg ser. Jeg ser. Lucas: Exactly. So if you want to say 'I see you', it is 'Jeg ser deg'. Luna: Jeg ser deg. Lucas: Perfect. And to ask 'Do you see me?' you say 'Ser du meg?'. Luna: Ser du meg? Lucas: Good. And a simple 'Do you see?' is 'Ser du?'. Luna: Ser du? So I can ask 'Ser du en katt?' — 'Do you see a cat?' Lucas: Yes! Exactly. Or 'Kan du se...' — 'Can you see...'. Luna: Right. So 'Kan du se meg?' would be 'Can you see me?'. Lucas: That is it. Let me say the phrase one more time: 'å se'. Present tense: 'ser'. Luna: Å se, jeg ser. Luna: Yeah, it is a nice way to keep the show going. So, back to seeing things — what is something fun I can say? Lucas: Well, you could say 'Jeg ser en film' — 'I see a movie' or 'I am watching a movie'. Luna: Ah, so 'å se' can mean both 'to see' and 'to watch'? Lucas: Exactly. So 'Jeg ser på TV' means 'I am watching TV'. Luna: Jeg ser på TV. That is handy. Lucas: Let us practice a few more. 'Ser du solen?' — 'Do you see the sun?' Luna: Ser du solen? Hmm, if it is cloudy, maybe not. Lucas: Right. Or 'Jeg ser en hund' — 'I see a dog'. Luna: Jeg ser en hund. I love dogs. Lucas: One more: 'Kan du se månen?' — 'Can you see the moon?' Luna: Kan du se månen? That sounds poetic. Lucas: Yes. And of course, 'Jeg ser deg i morgen' — 'I will see you tomorrow'. Luna: Jeg ser deg i morgen. Oh, that is a nice way to say goodbye. Lucas: Exactly. So let us review: 'å se', 'jeg ser', 'ser du?', 'jeg ser deg', 'kan du se'. Luna: Å se, jeg ser, ser du?, jeg ser deg, kan du se. I think I have it. Lucas: You do. Practice those and try to use them when you look out the window or watch a show. Luna: Good idea. Takk, Lucas. Lucas: Bare hyggelig. See you next time, everyone. Luna: Ha det bra!
