Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: Hello everyone, It's two pm. It's New Year's Eve. It's
- 0:07Speaker 1: the twelve thirty one, twenty five, the last day of
- 0:10Speaker 1: twenty twenty five, and I am super excited to hang
- 0:13Speaker 1: out with you guys, but mostly hang out with my
- 0:16Speaker 1: cousin wife. My cousin Monique Fair is here.
- 0:20Speaker 2: I say hi, mo Hi, everybody. I dream of the
- 0:23Speaker 2: day me and Chrissy are living in a house together
- 0:25Speaker 2: and sharing illa and I. Yeah, cousins.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Absolutely, We've had so many experiences together, including one time
- 0:34Speaker 1: we drove to Paiwan, Utah and actually student in front
- 0:38Speaker 1: of Mary's bed and breakfast because Monique and I. If
- 0:42Speaker 1: you haven't noticed, and if you can't read the title above,
- 0:47Speaker 1: you are obsessed and have been obsessed with a stupid
- 0:49Speaker 1: ass show called Sister Wives for the past forty five years.
- 0:53Speaker 1: But really it feels that way, and so we are
- 0:57Speaker 1: here to talk to you about season twenty. This is
- 1:00Speaker 1: technically the episodes twelve to fifteen, but we're just gonna
- 1:03Speaker 1: call it. Monique and Chris take on the apology tour
- 1:07Speaker 1: of Cody Brown only to the Wives, and we're going
- 1:11Speaker 1: to die right in well thoughts.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Just real quickly, just so you guys know, nothing happened
- 1:17Speaker 2: for the first fourteen seasons, but we stuck it through. Okay,
- 1:21Speaker 2: the Apology tour, which was one hundred percent for Cody
- 1:24Speaker 2: Brown and Cody Brown only. He walked up to each
- 1:29Speaker 2: wife and basically talked about how he was going to
- 1:32Speaker 2: free them, free them from the bins of his marriage
- 1:36Speaker 2: to them. Meanwhile, they've all moved on. Yeah, yeah, everyone
- 1:40Speaker 2: Like Janelle is starting a flower farm, Christine is fully married,
- 1:45Speaker 2: and Mary is like going on these dating events like
- 1:48Speaker 2: she is, she's getting paid to do it.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Yeah, it's so funny. He has talking points that he's
- 1:55Speaker 1: stuck to and everything he says to them is exactly
- 1:58Speaker 1: what he feels saying to everyone. You know, I want
- 2:02Speaker 1: to free you from this or I want to you know,
- 2:06Speaker 1: I want to make sure that you can move on.
- 2:08Speaker 1: I want to stop the anger. I want it like
- 2:10Speaker 1: I mean like that. That's literally all the things you
- 2:12Speaker 1: have to do. That's it's But he really took the
- 2:17Speaker 1: responsibility that he has the power to free these women,
- 2:20Speaker 1: and they're all just worrying waiting for him to get
- 2:24Speaker 1: like his shit together to do this. It's it's as
- 2:27Speaker 1: necessary as I guess the world tour that justin. Timberlake
- 2:31Speaker 1: went on, ah, I think I can't.
- 2:36Speaker 2: I get those are both not necessary, but I will
- 2:40Speaker 2: say it really felt like Robin said to him, Look,
- 2:44Speaker 2: this is what the people in the comments are saying.
- 2:47Speaker 2: I need you to go out there and apologize to
- 2:49Speaker 2: these women wholeheartedly, like it's your idea and not mine.
- 2:52Speaker 2: And then my favorite part about it is when they
- 2:54Speaker 2: ask Robin after Janelle like in a weird way, it
- 2:57Speaker 2: goes back in her head like could I be with
- 2:58Speaker 2: Codey again? Which is so freaking weird.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Hayter hit that hate that for her? You really are.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Fine with the loveless marriage. Anyways, when Robin, they asked, Robin,
- 3:07Speaker 2: you know, what would you do when the wives comes back?
- 3:10Speaker 2: And her face the horror that hit her face as
- 3:15Speaker 2: if like and then she knew what was happening. She
- 3:19Speaker 2: knew she was malfunctioning and that she was doing it
- 3:22Speaker 2: on cameras. So she turned around, was like, you gave
- 3:24Speaker 2: me hope. You just gave me hope that might happen.
- 3:27Speaker 2: It's like hope, bullshit. You wanted to kick all of
- 3:29Speaker 2: these wives out now that your kids are older and
- 3:31Speaker 2: they're not going to raise them for you you want to,
- 3:35Speaker 2: you know, women to raise your kids for you.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, and she wants dolls so that she can
- 3:39Speaker 1: just go hang with them. Like there's so many Robin
- 3:41Speaker 1: moments of this season, you know that, like her gripping
- 3:44Speaker 1: her like underchin skin is like, that's that sat with me. Mostly.
- 3:50Speaker 1: My favorite Robin moment is do I still have it? Yes,
- 3:53Speaker 1: when she just.
- 3:54Speaker 3: Was like I just kept going out there to Coyote
- 3:57Speaker 3: Pass and putting my good energy and her in this
- 4:01Speaker 3: Sepia tone with this hat running through the fucking fields
- 4:04Speaker 3: like a fucking broke down Maria and sound of music,
- 4:07Speaker 3: I mean, putting whatever bad vibes you know she has
- 4:10Speaker 3: herever snank into that Coyote Pass. I mean she she
- 4:14Speaker 3: cursed that land for the next one hundred years.
- 4:21Speaker 2: And except with everything that you just said, and too,
- 4:25Speaker 2: I'm gonna mute while you're talking in case my dogs
- 4:28Speaker 2: are crazy in the background, just for everybody so you
- 4:30Speaker 2: don't hear it. But that Robin is a caricature of
- 4:35Speaker 2: herself at this point.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Yeah. Absolutely, So we can pick up on Janelle. Let's
- 4:41Speaker 1: start with Janelle's apology tour, so like you know, we
- 4:43Speaker 1: all know what's happening as Cody has been an asshole.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Wives left him because MONI gave me this money, gave
- 4:49Speaker 1: me this beautiful shirt, so like to show it off.
- 4:55Speaker 2: I forgot you're wearing.
- 4:56Speaker 1: It is of course, when Robin's superimposed a young Cody
- 5:01Speaker 1: upon her children, who of course legally adopted them, when
- 5:04Speaker 1: he did not know these people at this time, and
- 5:06Speaker 1: none of these people came from this man. But okay,
- 5:09Speaker 1: And then of course on the back is the tried
- 5:12Speaker 1: and true codyism that we turned we learn from these
- 5:15Speaker 1: apology tour that Cody just says shit that means absolutely
- 5:18Speaker 1: fucking nothing. And it's not just me that obviously thinks that,
- 5:22Speaker 1: you know, God blessed. And one other thing he always
- 5:24Speaker 1: said was love should be multiplied, not divided. I can't
- 5:29Speaker 1: know if I showed you that very well, but he
- 5:31Speaker 1: definitely divided that fucking family.
- 5:33Speaker 2: You pass, unless you're talking about Coyote Pass, then it
- 5:35Speaker 2: should just be singularly Robin and him and maybe Janelle
- 5:40Speaker 2: because he knows that she can work the shit out
- 5:42Speaker 2: of him. Yeah, he keeps reiterating on this tour about
- 5:47Speaker 2: how Janelle was going to fuck all of them and
- 5:51Speaker 2: just sell it out from under them. But Robin. But
- 5:54Speaker 2: Robin made him do it, made him stick it out,
- 5:57Speaker 2: and that it's like Robin's doing.
- 5:59Speaker 1: It, pretty wife that has a conscience in a direct
- 6:03Speaker 1: line to God to keep him in line.
- 6:05Speaker 2: I just.
- 6:08Speaker 1: I know. Okay, So we're gonna speak of a Janelle.
- 6:12Speaker 1: So he starts with Janell because she's the easiest one. Now,
- 6:15Speaker 1: we didn't know exactly how hard she would roll over.
- 6:17Speaker 1: I mean, my Jesus Christ, because we I to me,
- 6:20Speaker 1: I saw her hating him and her and not thinking
- 6:23Speaker 1: that he was shit, and then obviously all her kids
- 6:26Speaker 1: hate him and there was a huge fucking tragedy. So
- 6:29Speaker 1: I looked and Maddie hates his guts. So at this
- 6:31Speaker 1: point I was like, Janelle, you you hate this man.
- 6:34Speaker 1: But you brought up a great point, which is that
- 6:36Speaker 1: during the moment before this that precedes the apology tour,
- 6:39Speaker 1: which is like Cody past Sale. We were watching this
- 6:42Speaker 1: together and we had to rewind this part because again
- 6:47Speaker 1: it was confusing. The way Cody set it up was
- 6:49Speaker 1: that somehow during the Cody pastness, it you know it
- 6:54Speaker 1: it illuminified. Is that the word the business relationship and
- 6:59Speaker 1: understanding that and Janelle always had, which is that she's smart,
- 7:03Speaker 1: he trusts her, and that she kind of was like, well,
- 7:06Speaker 1: one thing that you can do is you can always
- 7:08Speaker 1: just kind of fuck over Mary and not do anything
- 7:10Speaker 1: she needs to do because you have the power to
- 7:12Speaker 1: do that. So that's always in your corner. And we
- 7:14Speaker 1: were like, wait, is she saying that, like this is
- 7:17Speaker 1: an actual option or is she just being like, well,
- 7:20Speaker 1: you can because you're I didn't know if it was like,
- 7:22Speaker 1: well you could do that because unfortunately you're the man
- 7:25Speaker 1: and you have your in your name and it's upon
- 7:27Speaker 1: you to make that choice. I couldn't tell if she
- 7:29Speaker 1: was guilting him or being like, ah.
- 7:32Speaker 2: She is shrewd as shrewd can be when it comes
- 7:34Speaker 2: to business, and I feel like she would have still
- 7:36Speaker 2: given Mary her part, but she was like, I can't
- 7:38Speaker 2: wait for Mary to accept the terms, but you can
- 7:41Speaker 2: just sell it out from under her and deal with
- 7:43Speaker 2: that later. I feel like she would still be fair
- 7:46Speaker 2: to Mary, but she's just like, I'm not losing this fire. Yeah,
- 7:51Speaker 2: and Mary luckily saw the writing on the wall and
- 7:54Speaker 2: was like, I will get nothing unless I just hurry
- 7:56Speaker 2: up and do this. I think that's kind of what happened.
- 7:59Speaker 1: But she somehow didn't have to sign the NDA, so
- 8:02Speaker 1: like whatever was she was holding over their heads, she
- 8:05Speaker 1: didn't have to do an extra step of signing an NDA,
- 8:08Speaker 1: and she and she got her share.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Yeah, that was what could send it on. I don't
- 8:13Speaker 2: know what he was trying to have them hide like,
- 8:16Speaker 2: I don't know what he was embarrassed about. Like, but
- 8:18Speaker 2: at the end of the day, they do a tell
- 8:20Speaker 2: all and she hasn't said anything relevant or different about
- 8:24Speaker 2: their relationship in the past season.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Yeah, it's very yeah, I you know, except that you
- 8:30Speaker 1: know when they meet, she hates his fucking guts. But
- 8:32Speaker 1: we'll get to Mary. So, you know, he meets to
- 8:34Speaker 1: Nell first, he comes, you know, to North Carolina. They
- 8:37Speaker 1: go to like a cute place and he is like,
- 8:40Speaker 1: you know, I want to apologize now for saying I
- 8:45Speaker 1: never loved you. And then she's like, oh, Cody, I know,
- 8:49Speaker 1: I know you loved me. You can't tell me you
- 8:51Speaker 1: didn't love me. I knew that when you were in
- 8:53Speaker 1: fucking face deep in my big ass titties that you
- 8:55Speaker 1: love them big ass titties.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I was gonna say. I feel like
- 9:00Speaker 2: she always reiterated that the sex wasn't like a problem
- 9:05Speaker 2: for them. But I also was like, is it because
- 9:06Speaker 2: you don't like it? Because she also seems asexual at
- 9:09Speaker 2: the same time, So it's I'm split between she doesn't
- 9:12Speaker 2: care or she like gets down. What do you think?
- 9:16Speaker 1: I don't know because she has she is very private,
- 9:19Speaker 1: you know, she doesn't even comment on things like the
- 9:21Speaker 1: massages like Christine does or whatever.
- 9:24Speaker 3: You know.
- 9:24Speaker 1: She she only I think felt necessary in saying something
- 9:29Speaker 1: after seventeen years of people being like, does Cody and
- 9:33Speaker 1: Janelle line each other? And so she was like, I
- 9:36Speaker 1: show it. I mean, I don't know, and this is
- 9:37Speaker 1: my guest. You know, I wish I don't have a
- 9:39Speaker 1: direct line of her ta Keta Farms. But she is
- 9:43Speaker 1: like a shrewd business woman, you know, like I get
- 9:46Speaker 1: upset that they don't talk about the MLMs on this
- 9:49Speaker 1: show because all of us making money for years, you
- 9:52Speaker 1: know' that is the real deal, is like how they're
- 9:55Speaker 1: all in plexus on wall l ARUU and everything.
- 10:00Speaker 2: I didn't even know you told me that, by the way,
- 10:02Speaker 2: like their businesses, Like I thought I just thought they
- 10:05Speaker 2: might have money off the show and obviously not off
- 10:07Speaker 2: sister or wives closet or whatever it is.
- 10:09Speaker 1: That's surely not remember the gym.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Oh yeah, the gym. They were going to open the
- 10:14Speaker 2: trailer thing. Okay, well we got to get on Janelle. But
- 10:16Speaker 2: Janelle has made a series of not the greatest business
- 10:18Speaker 2: moves as well. So she is the head business person
- 10:21Speaker 2: of a household where no one is business minded.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Yeah, and her latest venture is life coaching. After this
- 10:30Speaker 1: episode aired, she is now like, listen, you can talk
- 10:33Speaker 1: to someone who's been through it, Janelle, Like after we
- 10:36Speaker 1: watch her.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Like which which part? Though? Like what part of life?
- 10:43Speaker 2: Are we talking about polygamy? Because for sure she understands
- 10:46Speaker 2: that talking about dealing with like jealousy while watching your
- 10:49Speaker 2: man go like downstairs with another woman Christine basement Christine.
- 10:53Speaker 2: We found out she's the basement pitch two on this episode.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Really Oh wait ahead, I'm.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Sorry, no, but we did. We did learn that we
- 10:59Speaker 1: don't wory. We'll talk about it. Yeah, this is you know,
- 11:01Speaker 1: I get everything's everything, but yes.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Yeah, and so I mean I love Janelle the most.
- 11:07Speaker 2: I think this meeting shed I think she feels validated.
- 11:11Speaker 2: I hope she just goes off and does her flower farm.
- 11:14Speaker 2: And at the end of it, even though she was like,
- 11:15Speaker 2: I did kind of think about it for a second.
- 11:17Speaker 2: I really think she thought in a business arrangement kind
- 11:19Speaker 2: of way, not in like a loving relationship kind of way.
- 11:22Speaker 2: And then she was like, nah, I just want to
- 11:24Speaker 2: go to like my flower farm with like all my kids,
- 11:27Speaker 2: because and every time they brought up kids, every one
- 11:29Speaker 2: of them said like, you should talk to your kids.
- 11:32Speaker 2: He's just shut down. He shut down, shut the fuck up. Shutdown.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Was like, we are not talking about that. It's like, well,
- 11:38Speaker 2: we have like a million of them with you, Like
- 11:41Speaker 2: that's part of our relationship is the fact that we
- 11:43Speaker 2: had a brood, a brood of children. That's right.
- 11:49Speaker 1: It's just yeah, when you're gonna like you just he's
- 11:51Speaker 1: just saying words like forgiveness or you know, accountability or whatever.
- 11:55Speaker 1: But it's like, I mean, I've never had kids with someone,
- 11:57Speaker 1: but I'm assuming that a lot of that has to
- 11:58Speaker 1: do with what you built and what things that you've
- 12:00Speaker 1: done and when you've created lives and you say words
- 12:03Speaker 1: like apologize or accountability, it's just a little bit like,
- 12:06Speaker 1: what's a moot point unless you're being very specific, and
- 12:10Speaker 1: he is not specific in any of them, and even
- 12:12Speaker 1: if he knew, like he doesn't know what the women
- 12:17Speaker 1: want him to do. He only knows what he is
- 12:21Speaker 1: upset about and puts on them, you know. So it's
- 12:25Speaker 1: like he what feels like what happened is that he
- 12:30Speaker 1: just gave up on the entire family and was like
- 12:34Speaker 1: happy to just swim on Robin Island, around Robin Island.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I'll see. You have to remember. And this
- 12:40Speaker 2: is something that I always thought was fucking weird. Can
- 12:44Speaker 2: I cuss on here? I can't. Yeah, I always thought
- 12:46Speaker 2: it was weird. He always called them Janelle's kids, Christine's kids,
- 12:51Speaker 2: and Robin's kids, except for they're my kids, the little
- 12:55Speaker 2: kids ye had with Robin. Yes, like Janelle's kids. It
- 12:58Speaker 2: was never our kids. And I think that's strange because
- 13:01Speaker 2: you are half of the DNA that they are Janelle's
- 13:05Speaker 2: because she's the only one to taking care of them,
- 13:06Speaker 2: and they are Christine's because Christine actually took care of
- 13:09Speaker 2: everybody apparently while the ladies were working. And even like
- 13:12Speaker 2: Mariah Slash turned into Leon, Mariah transitioned to Leon for
- 13:17Speaker 2: people who don't know, and Leon like they're having they're
- 13:20Speaker 2: finally free and are really themselves. And it's been a
- 13:23Speaker 2: beautiful journey to watch. But it took a lot because Mariah,
- 13:26Speaker 2: when Mariah was Mariah, they were the most like stringent
- 13:30Speaker 2: Mormon there was, and now obviously they're very progressive. So
- 13:34Speaker 2: a lot has happen in like sixteen years. I don't
- 13:37Speaker 2: know how I got on that, but you know, you know,
- 13:38Speaker 2: you're right.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Also down the line, listen, the kids that we know of,
- 13:43Speaker 1: we can like say which ones have kind of gone
- 13:46Speaker 1: either right or left, like Gwendolen's left, you know, like
- 13:50Speaker 1: it seems like truely it's gonna be a little left.
- 13:52Speaker 1: And I'm Paydon is right in Maddie's right right of
- 13:56Speaker 1: the center. We're talking more.
- 13:58Speaker 2: I didn't even think about that, So it's interesting.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Paidon's a Christine child, Gwendolyn's Christine, Leon's Mariah.
- 14:07Speaker 2: And there you know type polygamy city. They're all strongly
- 14:11Speaker 2: anti polygamy.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Now, yeah, not one of I don't think one of
- 14:14Speaker 1: them has been. I mean, but listen't we also don't
- 14:17Speaker 1: know some of the kids, Like you know, we don't
- 14:19Speaker 1: know what's happening in Hunter's life right now, And I
- 14:21Speaker 1: wish I did you know he's the Hunter.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Yes, a cute one, Yeah, Logan was cute.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Also, Logan's cute. Logan has like had so much on
- 14:31Speaker 1: him God bless you know, yeah, Logan had just had
- 14:33Speaker 1: to do so much. But also I think that Leon
- 14:35Speaker 1: did have to do a lot of like caretaking. And
- 14:37Speaker 1: I think that, you know, so did Maddie. I think
- 14:40Speaker 1: that that's why they're kind.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Of Mary being your mom.
- 14:46Speaker 1: There's a lot of drama between Mary. Like so supposedly
- 14:51Speaker 1: the streets are saying, by streets, I mean Reddit, is
- 14:53Speaker 1: that Okay, Maddie had come out and said that Mary
- 14:57Speaker 1: was abusive, and michelty in Kelty also like echoed that
- 15:01Speaker 1: as well. Now, Robin supposedly was one of the first
- 15:05Speaker 1: people early on to like let the kids know to
- 15:08Speaker 1: label what Mary made them feel like or behavior as
- 15:12Speaker 1: being quote unquote abusive. So Robin had, like, I guess
- 15:15Speaker 1: this is what Peyden had said, and this is what
- 15:17Speaker 1: the streets of redditor I'm regurgitating third highnd knowledge, but
- 15:21Speaker 1: that like Peyden had said that, Robin said that Mary's
- 15:24Speaker 1: behavior was abusive. Was the first time he like put
- 15:26Speaker 1: that together. And a lot of the children don't talk
- 15:28Speaker 1: to Mary now, And I wonder, you know, all the
- 15:33Speaker 1: women's relationships with each other are also interesting. Christine doesn't
- 15:36Speaker 1: talk to Mary. We've already discussed Janelle and Mary's relationship,
- 15:39Speaker 1: and as we talked about, you know, like whether Janelle
- 15:41Speaker 1: was going to fuck over Mary. There's a scene during
- 15:43Speaker 1: these four apology tours that is the most interesting scene
- 15:48Speaker 1: to me in these four episodes is the Mary Janelle
- 15:52Speaker 1: conversation about the release. Oh when, yeah, so let me
- 15:57Speaker 1: I'll get this. So Janelle listen. She already said she
- 15:59Speaker 1: were over and she did. It was just really sad
- 16:01Speaker 1: to watch her, like, oh my god, girl, like do
- 16:02Speaker 1: you have a back room, like make him say something
- 16:04Speaker 1: right like you know this. It's like she doesn't either
- 16:06Speaker 1: have the emotional maturity to understand that he's a narcissist
- 16:09Speaker 1: or still buys into it, or like sees his side,
- 16:11Speaker 1: or isn't the most empathetic person, or doesn't give a fuck.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I I can't tell which the answer is.
- 16:15Speaker 2: You know, cocktail, I probably at a cocktail of all
- 16:18Speaker 2: those ingredients you just said, yeh, because I feel like
- 16:21Speaker 2: he is super narcissistic. So at some point you look
- 16:23Speaker 2: at someone. Because she even said, I don't even know
- 16:25Speaker 2: who he is now, but he used to be this way,
- 16:28Speaker 2: and I'm like, did he become a narcissist or always?
- 16:33Speaker 2: Or did Robin just light his fire so much? She
- 16:36Speaker 2: was like, I don't give about any of these people.
- 16:38Speaker 2: I actually wasn't attracted to them ever, and like she's
- 16:41Speaker 2: his Diesel gene model. Yeah, I mean in a local paper.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it was, or I always thought it
- 16:52Speaker 1: was that she had put on a pair of Diesel
- 16:55Speaker 1: genes for like a fashion show at like J C. Penny,
- 16:57Speaker 1: you know, and.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Like like one of those things, and someone took a picture.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Can you raise her?
- 17:02Speaker 2: You?
- 17:02Speaker 1: Can you talk a little louder in my love?
- 17:03Speaker 2: Oh?
- 17:03Speaker 1: Yeah, like I can hear you?
- 17:05Speaker 2: Oh okay. So I always thought was that that, like
- 17:07Speaker 2: somebody took a picture of her at the mall and
- 17:09Speaker 2: put that in there.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Yeah, they could have been literally out of that. I mean,
- 17:14Speaker 1: you know, she said a bunch of crazy things back
- 17:16Speaker 1: in the day. People are obsessed with the fact that
- 17:17Speaker 1: she said because she had a bunch of credit card
- 17:19Speaker 1: debt to Victoria's Secret and she and one of the
- 17:22Speaker 1: reasons why she said is because like they were the
- 17:24Speaker 1: only brand that could like make genes that really fit
- 17:27Speaker 1: me because I have such long legs.
- 17:28Speaker 2: It' such a small waist Victoria's secret.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Vis sport jeans, okay, and that's like ah, and they're
- 17:38Speaker 1: gonna talk about the yet Ze bill that like, you know,
- 17:39Speaker 1: exposes the dolls so many things with Robin and I
- 17:42Speaker 1: just can't even like putting her to good juju out
- 17:43Speaker 1: there in Cody pass God damn her. But okay, I
- 17:46Speaker 1: want to get to this, which is true. So after
- 17:47Speaker 1: Janelle rolls over, she also has a wherewithal to be
- 17:50Speaker 1: like Mary asked for a spiritual release, and so she
- 17:53Speaker 1: calls Mary after supposedly trying to fuck her over, and
- 17:56Speaker 1: they have a conversation where she's like, Mary, I'm grown
- 18:00Speaker 1: ass woman, but I need you to make that fucking
- 18:04Speaker 1: phone call for me first. And for some reason that
- 18:07Speaker 1: statement was just so indicative of like so much of
- 18:15Speaker 1: like how Janelle felt like whatever she feels like form Mary.
- 18:19Speaker 1: She still needs Mary to help her in this huge
- 18:23Speaker 1: moment where she can't call the elders of some bullshit
- 18:27Speaker 1: church because it's so uncomfortable. Yet she wants this thing
- 18:31Speaker 1: that she has to also pretend not to care about
- 18:34Speaker 1: it they don't give, but also really hope that they give,
- 18:37Speaker 1: because she still buys into this really intense culture and religion,
- 18:43Speaker 1: which obviously, like you know, you and I have like
- 18:44Speaker 1: a version of that. You know, our parents met during
- 18:50Speaker 1: being the same religion and culture hanging out at the events.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Like you know, obviously the religion's different, but like you
- 18:57Speaker 1: agree with that, right.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's every religion to an extent. If
- 19:02Speaker 2: you're extreme in it feels culty. I'm sorry, it just
- 19:05Speaker 2: is what it is. But regardless, like we know what
- 19:10Speaker 2: it's like to be growing up a certain way and
- 19:12Speaker 2: then to not feel devout in that religion in the
- 19:15Speaker 2: same way as we were as kids, but still the
- 19:17Speaker 2: residual guilt entertains itself consistently in our behaviors, Like I
- 19:22Speaker 2: still like feel guilty about everything. I think a lot
- 19:26Speaker 2: of that I attribute to Catholicism. So I can see
- 19:29Speaker 2: how she'd be, like, I just need this release from
- 19:31Speaker 2: the church, even though I haven't been there for fifteen years.
- 19:34Speaker 1: God, did I need you to make the phone call
- 19:36Speaker 1: for me?
- 19:36Speaker 2: Yeah? I just marry This is like the one thing
- 19:38Speaker 2: I've ever asked you to do really in the last
- 19:42Speaker 2: ten years since the catfish.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Oh what did she have? I mean the fact that
- 19:48Speaker 1: Mary stayed and then married stayed through all the catfish
- 19:50Speaker 1: Married Stayed, was like the last woman to leave when
- 19:53Speaker 1: he didn't give one fuck about her. And now Mary
- 19:56Speaker 1: has turned over and now she went from like I'll
- 19:59Speaker 1: stay around to being like you don't even want to
- 20:02Speaker 1: see me, like do you rather see Christine at this point,
- 20:05Speaker 1: like I'm the last stop of the tour?
- 20:07Speaker 2: And you also learned how contentious the relationship was because
- 20:10Speaker 2: they talk about they just fought all the time, and
- 20:12Speaker 2: Christine could hear them fight and have sex, which is
- 20:15Speaker 2: hilarious and horrifying. Then you get to this thing where
- 20:19Speaker 2: you're like, why does Mary have such a redeeming arc
- 20:22Speaker 2: on the show? But you know, for a fact in
- 20:25Speaker 2: real life, nobody wants to be around her except for
- 20:28Speaker 2: those three women that want to be on TV, and
- 20:30Speaker 2: so with all of their friends just feel like women
- 20:32Speaker 2: that want to be on TV. But regardless, like you,
- 20:36Speaker 2: so you're like, well, who is Mary? Really? Is she
- 20:39Speaker 2: the person we see on the show that you want
- 20:40Speaker 2: to win, like you want to be able to date?
- 20:42Speaker 2: She's had such a pathetic run, but like really she's
- 20:47Speaker 2: pathetic because she's mean to everyone because she really didn't
- 20:50Speaker 2: want to be in this life, and then she watched
- 20:52Speaker 2: him have wife after wife after wife and got madder
- 20:54Speaker 2: and madder and madder after she only had one kid.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Mary has anger and rage underneath a lot, and so
- 21:04Speaker 1: her like and I think that that is why a
- 21:07Speaker 1: lot of people react the way she does, and she
- 21:10Speaker 1: doesn't see it or understand that the anger and rage
- 21:13Speaker 1: is like an energy that permeates every part of her,
- 21:16Speaker 1: so every reaction is immediately adversarial. I'm not even talking about,
- 21:22Speaker 1: by the way, I'm not talking about the one conversation
- 21:25Speaker 1: that we're going to talk about, which is her and Cody's.
- 21:27Speaker 1: I'm talking about. I think that's that she's that way
- 21:29Speaker 1: with everyone and the wives and the kids this whole time,
- 21:32Speaker 1: and so everyone's like.
- 21:34Speaker 2: And slightly ocd and stuff and filling.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Aunt.
- 21:39Speaker 2: They threw in the corner, Like at one point, Cody's like,
- 21:42Speaker 2: how about I build a barn for my stuff and
- 21:45Speaker 2: you sleep in the top of it instead of getting
- 21:47Speaker 2: an actual house? Remember that?
- 21:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, yeah, you pass say that to.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Someone like every wife will get a house, but why
- 21:56Speaker 2: don't I save money and put a corrugated shit and
- 22:00Speaker 2: they're insulated and you can see from the top like
- 22:03Speaker 2: talk about basement bitch. That's like shed bitch is way
- 22:07Speaker 2: worse than being the basement wife.
- 22:10Speaker 1: I know.
- 22:11Speaker 2: But it's also she went ly though, because like look
- 22:15Speaker 2: at them, those three friends. All they do is laugh.
- 22:20Speaker 1: I didn't tell Mary how funny she is. You're so funny, Mary, Yeah, absolutely,
- 22:26Speaker 1: but absolutely Janelle's a lot of people said this, but
- 22:30Speaker 1: somehow the whole experience and or dealing with Cody rob
- 22:33Speaker 1: them of their ability to have an opinion, to have
- 22:36Speaker 1: a voice. Janelle said that she lost her identity and
- 22:39Speaker 1: she's just like surviving. I think, and I think that
- 22:41Speaker 1: that's kind of like how I would say Christine felt
- 22:45Speaker 1: like she I think lost herself. And I think that
- 22:48Speaker 1: Mary now feels like a completely different person, like she
- 22:51Speaker 1: shed a snake skin too. But after Janelle, so yeah,
- 22:56Speaker 1: Janelle goes off without a hitch, you know, and they
- 22:58Speaker 1: decide to like also have a little moment for Garrison.
- 23:01Speaker 1: He decides to go back, and Robin comes over to
- 23:06Speaker 1: the shed he's working out and now and we get
- 23:09Speaker 1: like another what's a really awkward sexual scene where he's
- 23:14Speaker 1: like peacocking and showing off that he like lifts and
- 23:18Speaker 1: Robin has to be like Oh, he's my strong guy,
- 23:21Speaker 1: you know.
- 23:23Speaker 2: But it's so awkward. It's like, okay, when they kiss,
- 23:25Speaker 2: her mouth is like this, it doesn't make a ki.
- 23:29Speaker 2: It's just like she smacked them lips against his face
- 23:32Speaker 2: and it feels like he okay. It feels like he
- 23:37Speaker 2: married for women who should be with other women.
- 23:40Speaker 1: I feel like.
- 23:42Speaker 2: None of them seem attracted or interested in him it all,
- 23:45Speaker 2: except for Christine. So like, not one of them has
- 23:50Speaker 2: ever seemed like they want to kiss him or touch
- 23:52Speaker 2: him except for Christine.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Yeah. I don't know like what exactly it is, but none.
- 23:58Speaker 2: But it was dry, dry, dry in that gym, and
- 24:02Speaker 2: he was covered in sweat.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Yeah. When he was like, hey, Christine, are sorry. When
- 24:06Speaker 1: he was like hey, Robin picked this up and she's
- 24:08Speaker 1: like ooh, and he's like I picked that up like
- 24:10Speaker 1: four times the other the other day, it's like you're just.
- 24:12Speaker 2: Like, oh, I just did twenty pull ups with that
- 24:15Speaker 2: on my back and she's like oh yeah, like okay,
- 24:18Speaker 2: he does work out. Look, he did a lot of
- 24:21Speaker 2: pull ups. Great, Yeah, like he didn't do that many
- 24:23Speaker 2: pull ups, so like, good for him, but his just
- 24:26Speaker 2: he needs these moments. It's like the sports car when
- 24:30Speaker 2: you have forty five kids and you buy a two seater,
- 24:33Speaker 2: fuck you.
- 24:35Speaker 1: The Lexus two seater that is the other. Like Robin
- 24:40Speaker 1: has made a lot of art for Cody over the years,
- 24:43Speaker 1: like the shirt I'm wearing and can.
- 24:46Speaker 2: You stand up one more time? So people really grasp fact.
- 24:48Speaker 2: This is a picture of her kids who Cody was
- 24:52Speaker 2: not in this photo. Originally she had an artist draw
- 24:55Speaker 2: him into the photo of a photo that already existed
- 25:00Speaker 2: because they were justined by God.
- 25:03Speaker 1: So I think I hang out, yes. And my other
- 25:07Speaker 1: favorite piece of art, if you didn't mention it, was
- 25:09Speaker 1: the painting that he did she did of them, like
- 25:11Speaker 1: having like an eighties romantic moment by the White Lexus,
- 25:16Speaker 1: Like for some reason.
- 25:18Speaker 2: I don't you know that's you have to do it.
- 25:21Speaker 1: I don't have it. I had it before, I had
- 25:22Speaker 1: to lead it because unfortunately stream I won only let
- 25:24Speaker 1: me have so many files, and I'm god bless I
- 25:26Speaker 1: have so much n idy fiancee. But yeah, like Janelle, Unfortunately,
- 25:33Speaker 1: as he tells, Robin, you know, like it want you know, okay,
- 25:36Speaker 1: and then later on he's like, actually went really really well,
- 25:39Speaker 1: I like understated it, you know, And Robin was like oh,
- 25:42Speaker 1: you're so hot, you know. And also he's training to
- 25:44Speaker 1: go to I think Special Forces, like I think that
- 25:46Speaker 1: he had, yes, yes, he had.
- 25:48Speaker 2: To be like that running was through the woods.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Yeah, he's just like, oh, don know, for no reason,
- 25:54Speaker 1: just to make sure I stay in shape. And it's like, no,
- 25:56Speaker 1: you don't be on a Fox reality so to try
- 25:57Speaker 1: to extend whatever, like fame you have, buddy, and you know,
- 26:00Speaker 1: do you have the wherewithal that you have to work
- 26:02Speaker 1: out before you be on that show? It's a physical
- 26:03Speaker 1: comp beast show. I mean, And he didn't do that bad.
- 26:06Speaker 1: He didn't do bad money, so I guess I should
- 26:08Speaker 1: give him that moment.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, except for, yes, he didn't do that bad physically. Physically, yeah,
- 26:13Speaker 2: he didn't, like I feel.
- 26:14Speaker 1: Like emotionally horror horrible. Obviously they tore his ass.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Up, but like that's true, but like up from a
- 26:22Speaker 2: physical But I don't think he feels anything except for
- 26:24Speaker 2: like if he looks bad when he can't tell, it's
- 26:29Speaker 2: hard to tell, like when everyone left him, was he
- 26:32Speaker 2: sad they left him? Was he sad that he got left?
- 26:34Speaker 2: On national television? Like it's hard to tell with Cody
- 26:37Speaker 2: what's real and it's not.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Yeah, he's it's interesting because okay, so when we talk
- 26:43Speaker 1: about the release, Cody has a certain like feeling about it,
- 26:47Speaker 1: which is that, yeah, you know, just you know, really,
- 26:49Speaker 1: wasn't the man. Everyone's always like, this is like Cody's pewpoint.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Everyone always talks about how shitty it is for the
- 26:54Speaker 1: women in polygamy, But let me fucking tell you, it's
- 26:57Speaker 1: just as hard as for the man, because yeah, we
- 26:58Speaker 1: get to sit here and do nothing to fuck who
- 27:00Speaker 1: over the fuck we want and just leave kids the
- 27:02Speaker 1: minute that they turned six, like a fucking Leonardo DiCaprio
- 27:06Speaker 1: that loves whatever Viking culture. But yeah, yeah, yes, yeah,
- 27:12Speaker 1: so he like, he's like, it's really hard for guys
- 27:16Speaker 1: because they don't get to leave a guy. He's like,
- 27:19Speaker 1: a man can't ask for a release. And he's like,
- 27:22Speaker 1: I tried, and then we were like when you try,
- 27:25Speaker 1: who'd you try with? What year? How many years you try?
- 27:28Speaker 1: What'd you say to them? Because when did you try?
- 27:30Speaker 1: And who? Oh?
- 27:32Speaker 2: I thought he did. I believed him for some reason.
- 27:35Speaker 1: Yeah I know, but no, oh I'm not saying that.
- 27:37Speaker 1: I mean I believe you too, when though, like was
- 27:40Speaker 1: it after the catfish?
- 27:41Speaker 2: But oh god, well, I wonder if he tried to
- 27:44Speaker 2: do it after he divorced the catfish. Yeah, after he
- 27:47Speaker 2: divorced Mary and then the catfish. Is he legally divorced
- 27:52Speaker 2: Mary to be with Robin to adopt her.
- 27:54Speaker 1: Kids, melted done that ring so that she had no
- 27:56Speaker 1: claim over him. So that would be the only time
- 27:58Speaker 1: in which I feel like he'd want he would have
- 28:00Speaker 1: wanted maybe like a spiritual release, but he would have
- 28:03Speaker 1: to inform Mary that this is happening.
- 28:06Speaker 2: Like the church would tell her, I think, or maybe not,
- 28:09Speaker 2: because I think they said, like, I don't know, I
- 28:11Speaker 2: don't know the politics of that, but that is crazy,
- 28:14Speaker 2: I know.
- 28:15Speaker 1: So we get Janelle like obviously meeting up with her friends.
- 28:18Speaker 1: One of them has passed away or whatever, and that
- 28:20Speaker 1: was godless anyway, and she tells me what Cody said,
- 28:25Speaker 1: and they're all just like, well, listen to be honest, Like,
- 28:28Speaker 1: we only know you because you are higher in the
- 28:30Speaker 1: chain of the MLM we are, and we have to
- 28:32Speaker 1: give fifteen percent of our plexus to you. That's why
- 28:34Speaker 1: we are like filming with you.
- 28:35Speaker 3: Jane.
- 28:36Speaker 1: I'm like, we have no reason to be friends. We
- 28:38Speaker 1: know that we haven't talked to you in a year,
- 28:39Speaker 1: but you have literally no one, only have one kid
- 28:42Speaker 1: left that will even be on the show. And I
- 28:43Speaker 1: get it, so yeah, we'll show up. I feel like
- 28:48Speaker 1: they're just having to be like that's what you told
- 28:50Speaker 1: Cody that wow, Janelle.
- 28:55Speaker 2: I feel like they're also shocked that for a second
- 28:58Speaker 2: she would ever go back to him, Like I audiences
- 29:05Speaker 2: as was. I I was like, didn't we just do
- 29:08Speaker 2: this shit for two seasons? Have at only been breaking
- 29:10Speaker 2: up for two seasons? And then you yeah, because he
- 29:14Speaker 2: was nice to you for like half a lunch Like
- 29:19Speaker 2: that is unfortunately, how a lot of people aren't with
- 29:22Speaker 2: relationships when it was like their main.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Relationship, like like people respond like with the bread crumbing
- 29:29Speaker 1: and stuff like that, or.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Like yeah, just like any small bit of validation, like
- 29:32Speaker 2: you know, I loved you, like warm fuzzy, like let's
- 29:36Speaker 2: go back to whatever our arrangement was, but like you know,
- 29:40Speaker 2: it's still Robin's still there and she's still number one
- 29:43Speaker 2: no matter what until he meets somebody perhaps younger.
- 29:49Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, I god, that is the only thing
- 29:51Speaker 1: that could like make me just drool at the thought
- 29:54Speaker 1: of it, And I just it feels bad because it
- 29:56Speaker 1: feels really negative, like I want like a toxic thing
- 29:59Speaker 1: to happen to people. But I mean that is my truth.
- 30:03Speaker 2: But I think her karma is the fact that she's
- 30:06Speaker 2: stuck with him. It's not like she has some great prize.
- 30:10Speaker 2: When the show is over, it's her and Cody, you
- 30:13Speaker 2: know what I mean.
- 30:14Speaker 1: So I might just want to date online. She told
- 30:18Speaker 1: us that she thinks dating is sucks. She doesn't know
- 30:21Speaker 1: how people do it.
- 30:23Speaker 2: I just yeah. And I think one of the big
- 30:26Speaker 2: things was, like I think she really did want to
- 30:27Speaker 2: be part of the family. And I think that's what
- 30:30Speaker 2: a lot of the women when they said they lost themselves.
- 30:33Speaker 2: I don't know if they lost themselves to Cody or
- 30:35Speaker 2: to the organism that is that family, which is just
- 30:39Speaker 2: all of these sex and everyone has to be taken
- 30:41Speaker 2: care of and if you drop the ball, something gets
- 30:43Speaker 2: really screwed. Like they were not wealthy, and with considering
- 30:47Speaker 2: how many like mouths to feed and people going to college,
- 30:51Speaker 2: and like it's reality TV. The you don't make that
- 30:54Speaker 2: much money on reality TV. I don't even know if
- 30:56Speaker 2: the kids got paid, did they? I like you, I
- 31:00Speaker 2: want to see a Sister Wives spin off of just
- 31:03Speaker 2: the children and what they're doing in their real lives.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Yeah, it's always interesting to see, like what we're going
- 31:09Speaker 1: to do after this, you know, like if they're just
- 31:11Speaker 1: going to keep following each person, or one's going to
- 31:13Speaker 1: drop out, you know, or you know, one's hoping that
- 31:16Speaker 1: they'll take over. And you know, it's interesting because they
- 31:20Speaker 1: kind of set it up, set up Maddie as being
- 31:22Speaker 1: like the new matriarch of the family, where like people
- 31:24Speaker 1: are going to go live there.
- 31:27Speaker 2: They're like Mickelty and Mattie are like split queens in
- 31:32Speaker 2: this Game of Thrones. Yeah, I have to say, like
- 31:36Speaker 2: Mackelty's husband has grown on me so much since he
- 31:41Speaker 2: first got here, Like, he is freaking hilarious. Do you
- 31:45Speaker 2: not think so Tony?
- 31:47Speaker 1: I mean when I was.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Horrified by Tony for when they got married, I was horrified.
- 31:54Speaker 2: I was like, this is the person she's marrying. It's
- 31:55Speaker 2: like the first person's ever dated. This is so horrifying.
- 31:58Speaker 2: But all of his commentary is so funny, and he
- 32:01Speaker 2: feels like the only person from the real world and
- 32:04Speaker 2: are put into this family, so like his comments feel like, yeah,
- 32:09Speaker 2: like the straight man comments that anyone would be like,
- 32:12Speaker 2: what the fuck's going on? Here like.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Something in a throw, you know, yes?
- 32:19Speaker 2: Is it fact he talks like that, which I'm also
- 32:21Speaker 2: endeared to as well. Now a yeah, Tony, I.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Do you know Tony? Tony and McKelty had moved to
- 32:31Speaker 1: North Carolina because of his poker career. And then I
- 32:33Speaker 1: found out that poker player unfortunately passed away tragically and
- 32:36Speaker 1: he was a poker poker genius. And now I think
- 32:38Speaker 1: they moved to a different part of North Carolina and a
- 32:40Speaker 1: different home, and now she loves that home. But yeah,
- 32:42Speaker 1: Maddie McKelty get to be together in North Carolina, while
- 32:45Speaker 1: like you know, Christine is kicking it in Moab.
- 32:48Speaker 2: With her husband. Is just like, we can't pay for
- 32:51Speaker 2: all of this stuff, you know that right, Like I'm retired, but.
- 32:56Speaker 1: She's high up in plexus, she really is. She's getting
- 32:59Speaker 1: so much money addiction. Yes, you're right, but not for him.
- 33:05Speaker 1: Wait for his clothes.
- 33:08Speaker 2: Exactly? What is plexus? Exactly?
- 33:11Speaker 1: That pink drink? Yeah, it's an MLM pink drink.
- 33:14Speaker 2: Okay, and what does it do? Oh?
- 33:18Speaker 1: A list of things? Monique cures menopause. There's always things
- 33:22Speaker 1: makes you lose so much weight, you know, like hydrates
- 33:27Speaker 1: and like you know you have if you have any
- 33:30Speaker 1: sort of anything, it just cleans it out. COVID honey,
- 33:32Speaker 1: I mean you know, kill it on site, you know,
- 33:36Speaker 1: your marriage that plexus theive.
- 33:40Speaker 2: Remember when essay it was going around for the first time. Essay, Yeah,
- 33:44Speaker 2: as like the miracle drink, like when it first like
- 33:48Speaker 2: came to America, I make serious and people would sell
- 33:51Speaker 2: it and bottles like essay, like, oh you don't understand
- 33:53Speaker 2: you have to have a little shot of this like
- 33:54Speaker 2: every day. Yeah it is, yes, Essay. It was like
- 33:58Speaker 2: the first MLM. No, it really wasn't, because it is
- 34:01Speaker 2: good for you, but it was like we just go
- 34:03Speaker 2: to trade jokes now and kidding you know what I mean.
- 34:06Speaker 1: Are you saying a sie yes? Oh I get it?
- 34:09Speaker 1: Yeah yeah yeah, yeah, ye yeah yeah yes. It's like
- 34:11Speaker 1: an s E bowl.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Yes. Yeah, it's like the juice and people are like,
- 34:16Speaker 2: there's a miracle juice from Brazil. Here's everything.
- 34:20Speaker 1: Yeah. It was like that, and then after that it
- 34:23Speaker 1: was like, well have you fucking heard of gojiberries? Oh yeah,
- 34:27Speaker 1: berry super food.
- 34:30Speaker 2: The GoChi berry which are good for you.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Yeah, but they're like they're like hard raised, they're like
- 34:38Speaker 1: they're they're you know, they're fine. I mean there's worse
- 34:41Speaker 1: things where it's yeah, yeah, mer things. I want to
- 34:44Speaker 1: say how much I hate So basically after that he
- 34:46Speaker 1: moves on to Christine. Now, when Christine's getting ready, we
- 34:49Speaker 1: find out he's gone to Vegas. He gets a hotel
- 34:52Speaker 1: off the strip with just the word M to like
- 34:55Speaker 1: really set him up in a corporate suite, and Cody
- 34:58Speaker 1: is only too happy to lick every part of this
- 35:00Speaker 1: hotel's asshole to be like, what a gorgeous corporate sweet Oh,
- 35:04Speaker 1: they were so nice to give us a private room
- 35:06Speaker 1: for this meeting. And I'm like, well, did you tell
- 35:07Speaker 1: them how many people are gonna attend? Because what do
- 35:09Speaker 1: they set it up?
- 35:10Speaker 2: Like?
- 35:10Speaker 1: It's literally a dinner for like, you know, family of twelve.
- 35:14Speaker 2: Like he's like, I'm gonna stay here forever every time
- 35:17Speaker 2: I come, and they have their obligatory what is the M?
- 35:20Speaker 2: Is that? Like the Marongo? Like what is the M?
- 35:23Speaker 3: What?
- 35:23Speaker 1: You're right, what is the M? It's not Monique's hotel.
- 35:25Speaker 1: I would stay there, you know.
- 35:28Speaker 2: That My hotel would not look like that, and Cody
- 35:30Speaker 2: would not be staying there.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, Cody is my hotel. Anyways continuing, I want
- 35:38Speaker 1: to check in.
- 35:39Speaker 2: Yeah, Christine. Okay, So Christine, that was pristy one of
- 35:44Speaker 2: them all because she brought David. Why would you bring
- 35:46Speaker 2: David to this? I don't understand.
- 35:48Speaker 1: This is because she can. I know why she did,
- 35:51Speaker 1: because she was like, oh, for the past fucking twelve years,
- 35:54Speaker 1: I had to watch you and your beloved just stare
- 35:57Speaker 1: me at the fucking face, and I'm like and I
- 35:59Speaker 1: just had feel alone and like be like, oh, no
- 36:01Speaker 1: one loves me. And so the minute that she got one,
- 36:04Speaker 1: and I'm not saying she has, you know, she was
- 36:05Speaker 1: just like I'll never be like, I'll never do that again.
- 36:09Speaker 1: Like I think that she was only to happy to
- 36:10Speaker 1: be like me and my husband a little bit.
- 36:14Speaker 2: Even when she left town, it was everybody and then
- 36:19Speaker 2: Robin and Cody and it was COVID, So there was
- 36:20Speaker 2: like a big separation. Do you remember that? The most
- 36:23Speaker 2: goodbye ever? I still have nightmares about that goodbye. So
- 36:27Speaker 2: I can understand why David's there. I understand she's just like, yeah, because.
- 36:33Speaker 1: You know, everyone is good and everyone's bad. Right, Like
- 36:36Speaker 1: Christine was painted as like a saint, but I'm not
- 36:38Speaker 1: saying she's a saint. But Christine did have to take
- 36:41Speaker 1: a full brunt of like breaking up the family and
- 36:44Speaker 1: have that all beyond her, and all those moments were
- 36:46Speaker 1: really like I can't imagine my nervous systerm in those moments.
- 36:49Speaker 1: So you know, that's probably why she literally like found
- 36:52Speaker 1: a man that was like older than her, and I
- 36:55Speaker 1: mean less sophisticated, less sophisticated and not as rich as her.
- 37:03Speaker 2: Less sophisticated. I'd say they're like on the same plane.
- 37:07Speaker 2: I'd say she's in the Moab MLM Christine world, and
- 37:13Speaker 2: David is a great accompaniment to that. She's younger.
- 37:19Speaker 1: She's younger, and she's a little bit more of like
- 37:21Speaker 1: she has I think, more things going for her at
- 37:23Speaker 1: this stage. But I mean she comes out like so
- 37:27Speaker 1: obviously there's two things he's gonna be in Vegas, and
- 37:29Speaker 1: now they show us a little bit of them, like
- 37:31Speaker 1: setting up and he facetimes Robin, who you know, Janelle
- 37:33Speaker 1: realizes is his true love, and so he's like gonna
- 37:38Speaker 1: tell Robin everything because Robin's like, you know, at first
- 37:40Speaker 1: he didn't tell me anything about the wives, but now
- 37:42Speaker 1: he does all the time.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Everything. He tells me everything.
- 37:47Speaker 1: I know what they feel like on the inside, I'm winning.
- 37:52Speaker 2: I'm winning sitting there with their porcelain doll. I'm winning.
- 37:55Speaker 2: By the way, when who grew up in a house
- 37:56Speaker 2: with porcelain dolls? Like they still freak me out. I
- 38:03Speaker 2: think they're gonna come alive at night. And just being
- 38:05Speaker 2: an adult at this age and getting them, I think
- 38:06Speaker 2: there is something psychological. There's some childhood trauma.
- 38:11Speaker 1: Does your mom pet them or play with them, or
- 38:12Speaker 1: do you watch her sit with them or does she
- 38:14Speaker 1: ever touch them?
- 38:14Speaker 2: Even No, they go back under the stairs after Christmas
- 38:18Speaker 2: to be to be in their coven until they are
- 38:22Speaker 2: brought back out for the holidays to surround the New
- 38:24Speaker 2: Orleans tree. Yeah. Yeah, it's a lot of time. So
- 38:32Speaker 2: let's go that's a lot to unpack there, Let's go
- 38:34Speaker 2: back to Christian.
- 38:36Speaker 1: No, it just I need your insight. Yeah, Like the
- 38:38Speaker 1: porcelain dolls are a thing. And you know, I think
- 38:39Speaker 1: that they're I think I always indicative of someone who
- 38:41Speaker 1: like felt like they weren't able to like live and
- 38:44Speaker 1: grow up as as slowly as they would like. Maybe,
- 38:46Speaker 1: and so there's like, you know, maybe they get to
- 38:48Speaker 1: like have a moment where they still can.
- 38:50Speaker 2: They're perfect they're behind glass for her and like their
- 38:54Speaker 2: hair is perfect and like everything is in place. It's
- 38:57Speaker 2: not like a doll that you like run around with
- 39:00Speaker 2: and actually enjoy. It'll break it is.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Well, you were her daughter, So were you like a
- 39:06Speaker 1: little like did were you like? Do you feel like
- 39:07Speaker 1: you were a little doll?
- 39:09Speaker 2: Yeah? I got dressed just like the porcelaindos. Don't you like? Perfect?
- 39:15Speaker 2: Those as big as my head? Yeah?
- 39:19Speaker 1: Okay, So Robin's daughters the dolls that women get to
- 39:23Speaker 1: like have in real life. And I you know, all
- 39:27Speaker 1: of Robin's like assides to Brianna are so interesting, you know,
- 39:31Speaker 1: like a woman love a married man.
- 39:34Speaker 2: Want her to get married, and she wants her to
- 39:37Speaker 2: experience life. And she doesn't know how to say, like,
- 39:40Speaker 2: I do not want you to end up with this guy.
- 39:43Speaker 2: But she doesn't.
- 39:43Speaker 1: She does not, No, she just talks you.
- 39:48Speaker 2: Wait, which one's the one who has a boyfriend?
- 39:49Speaker 1: Aurora, Brianna or or we haven't seen that much it
- 39:54Speaker 1: looks like this season, yeah, and Dayton we haven't seen
- 39:58Speaker 1: at all. But yeah, Robin's just like I knew with
- 40:02Speaker 1: your dad, not your dad. I knew with him when
- 40:05Speaker 1: we were driving around and God, took away my ability
- 40:08Speaker 1: to talk for like thirty minutes. I couldn't.
- 40:10Speaker 2: I forgot about that. I just good talk and she
- 40:15Speaker 2: just starts cry, and I'm just thinking, like, ah, that's
- 40:19Speaker 2: you're crying for the possibilities of what you thought Cody
- 40:22Speaker 2: was and the reality of who he actually is.
- 40:25Speaker 1: Yeah, Like I would never in my life heard anyone
- 40:30Speaker 1: falling in love that way. Like I feel like every
- 40:34Speaker 1: time I've never I can't never love, but I've never
- 40:36Speaker 1: been in love. But like the way that people tell
- 40:38Speaker 1: me they fall in love or whatever it is, it's
- 40:39Speaker 1: always like it was like in this moment or I
- 40:42Speaker 1: just knew, or you know when I know in the
- 40:44Speaker 1: first three seconds, or they say like something something, and
- 40:46Speaker 1: I just was like this. But it's like it always
- 40:48Speaker 1: almost feels like everyone falls in love and knows in
- 40:50Speaker 1: an instant, and not so much that like they are
- 40:54Speaker 1: overcome with an emotion and realize that upon feeling that emotion,
- 40:58Speaker 1: that that emotion is God telling them that this is
- 41:01Speaker 1: their person to be in love with. Because sometimes the
- 41:04Speaker 1: way she described was like, so you not a panic attack,
- 41:06Speaker 1: that's not what you have.
- 41:08Speaker 2: I feel like whenever you put God on something, you
- 41:12Speaker 2: have to make it so much bigger than it is.
- 41:15Speaker 2: Cody was probably just talking her ear off for thirty
- 41:18Speaker 2: minutes and she had nothing to fucking say, and she
- 41:20Speaker 2: realized the possibilia of what might happen because at the
- 41:23Speaker 2: end of the day, like we've fallen fatuation instantly. But
- 41:29Speaker 2: I would say, like love, but everyone's different, right would
- 41:32Speaker 2: be like once you're actually like tested together in some
- 41:35Speaker 2: kind of way, like I knew when the way they
- 41:37Speaker 2: were with my kids, or I knew the way they
- 41:39Speaker 2: were we were on this vacation or whatever. But again,
- 41:42Speaker 2: everyone's different. I can't say. But for her this like
- 41:45Speaker 2: I thought she knew in church when her body got
- 41:48Speaker 2: hit by lightning the first time she saw him and
- 41:51Speaker 2: God put him there, like I knew, that's do you
- 41:53Speaker 2: remember that? Fuck?
- 41:54Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, that's because he that's what he says. He
- 41:58Speaker 1: said that they were in church, which I was. I
- 42:00Speaker 1: think like if they broke up.
- 42:01Speaker 2: In her book though, that her body was hit by lightning.
- 42:07Speaker 1: Yeah, they shared a look in church and then they
- 42:10Speaker 1: and then she then she cozied up with Mary.
- 42:13Speaker 2: And pretend Mary once. They have said that Mary set
- 42:16Speaker 2: them up so many times. In one episode, Mary finally
- 42:19Speaker 2: said I did not do that. I did not set
- 42:21Speaker 2: them up. Are you kidding? Like she was just we
- 42:23Speaker 2: were driving and she just happened to be at someone's house,
- 42:27Speaker 2: like and we said hi.
- 42:29Speaker 1: Yeah, because what had happened was Mary and Cody, sorry,
- 42:32Speaker 1: Cody and fucking Robin. I fucked each other in the
- 42:34Speaker 1: House of God. Under got her a fucking yeah under
- 42:38Speaker 1: all of those elders eyes. I fucked the shit out
- 42:42Speaker 1: of each other. And he like literally like thought about
- 42:44Speaker 1: putting his penis inside her. And then she was like, Okay,
- 42:47Speaker 1: who do I have to talk to and know how
- 42:48Speaker 1: this game works. There's the wife I have to talk to.
- 42:50Speaker 1: Fuck those other two wives. I don't care. I don't
- 42:52Speaker 1: care about them. I'll never really care about them. I
- 42:54Speaker 1: have to pretend to care about this one for like
- 42:55Speaker 1: a whole last second. And she did. She got she
- 42:58Speaker 1: knew who she had a deal with. It was Mary.
- 43:00Speaker 1: She's like, Mary, Hi, blink blink, do you have any
- 43:04Speaker 1: kids you want me to take care of? For like
- 43:06Speaker 1: a second, you know or whatever, and then like yeah,
- 43:07Speaker 1: Mary was like, oh my god, how nice have you
- 43:09Speaker 1: met my husband? Oh? You have a husband even though
- 43:11Speaker 1: you're married, But that makes sense. You're so beautiful, Mary,
- 43:13Speaker 1: you know, like you're like, shut up, Robin, and then
- 43:14Speaker 1: yeah he was. She was like, well, yeah, Robin, this
- 43:16Speaker 1: is my husband, Cody. Can you say that Cody with
- 43:19Speaker 1: a kge. She's like, Cody, Oh, nice to meet you.
- 43:24Speaker 1: You know, You're just like, oh my god. She I
- 43:27Speaker 1: Christy must have watched all this and was just like,
- 43:30Speaker 1: oh my god, I've been acting dumb this entire time.
- 43:34Speaker 1: And I thought it'd be okay, like there'd be no ramifications.
- 43:36Speaker 1: But the longer I acted dumb, the more and more
- 43:39Speaker 1: they're just going to try and pull shit over my
- 43:41Speaker 1: eyes and I just can't stand it. But then she
- 43:43Speaker 1: stood it for another ten years.
- 43:45Speaker 2: I want to say, a that entire re enactment is
- 43:48Speaker 2: why I love being your cousin so much.
- 43:52Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 43:54Speaker 2: Yeah, And that is exactly what happened. She worked Mary
- 43:57Speaker 2: till the very end, and the one time married and
- 44:00Speaker 2: fall for it was when Mary was moving out and
- 44:03Speaker 2: Robin came crying to her and giving her that weird
- 44:05Speaker 2: freaking thing she made for her, and Mary was and
- 44:09Speaker 2: Mary's like, I don't care, that was for her, Like
- 44:11Speaker 2: she's crying for her. That was the one moment where
- 44:14Speaker 2: Mary didn't give a shit and finally saw Robin who
- 44:16Speaker 2: for who she was. But she got played from beginning
- 44:20Speaker 2: to end from Robin. Christine. Poor Christine. She was like nineteen.
- 44:26Speaker 2: He married her because her uncle was like a church
- 44:29Speaker 2: elder or something, loyal cousins or something, so he's like,
- 44:34Speaker 2: And the weird thing when I don't remember which wife
- 44:36Speaker 2: said this in the last episode, they said, you know,
- 44:38Speaker 2: in our church, everybody is an option. And how weird
- 44:42Speaker 2: is that It's like being at one big swingers club,
- 44:44Speaker 2: but you can't be a prude swingers club. Like it's
- 44:49Speaker 2: a dichotomy of like you court for two weeks and
- 44:53Speaker 2: then you're married, but you can't have sex or do
- 44:54Speaker 2: any of these things. But you are marrying so quick
- 44:58Speaker 2: that like, how do you even know the person? And
- 45:01Speaker 2: you don't like it's just they're so it's so strange.
- 45:05Speaker 2: It's so strange. But then you can anyone could be
- 45:08Speaker 2: your future husband, or anyone could be your future wife
- 45:11Speaker 2: if you're single.
- 45:12Speaker 1: Yeah. Wow.
- 45:15Speaker 2: And here's the thing is, I don't think I think
- 45:18Speaker 2: the fetishization of it makes it seem like it's a
- 45:20Speaker 2: good deal for guys, But who in the right mind
- 45:23Speaker 2: wants to pay for twenty kids and three households, Like
- 45:28Speaker 2: even if the wife works, like this is still like yeah,
- 45:31Speaker 2: it's a community raising it, but there's still more mouths
- 45:33Speaker 2: to feed than income. Like these people never have lavish lives.
- 45:38Speaker 2: Like it's a lot.
- 45:40Speaker 1: Yeah, but like it's just like no, no, no, but
- 45:42Speaker 1: more angels once she die, those you.
- 45:45Speaker 2: Know attorney Like you're an attorney together. Yeah, yeah, you.
- 45:49Speaker 1: Want to have a sports team.
- 45:50Speaker 2: You don't want to Just maybe that's why she got
- 45:52Speaker 2: the release. She doesn't want to spend attorney with Cody Brown.
- 45:55Speaker 2: Maybe depths of now She's like, I just in case
- 45:58Speaker 2: this is true, Just in case I was wrong, I'm wrong,
- 46:01Speaker 2: and this is right. I cannot spend a journey with
- 46:04Speaker 2: that motherfucker.
- 46:06Speaker 1: I hate to say this. I think it's Robin. Yeah,
- 46:10Speaker 1: Robin definitely put it well, I think Janelle. I think
- 46:12Speaker 1: what I'm saying is Janelle doesn't want to spend the
- 46:15Speaker 1: rest of her life. And if it's true with Robin,
- 46:19Speaker 1: who's part of Yeah, you're right, who's part of that
- 46:22Speaker 1: planet with him?
- 46:23Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 46:23Speaker 1: If if for some reason, let's just I don't know,
- 46:26Speaker 1: let's just say the thing was that there was no
- 46:28Speaker 1: Robin or Robin had already left Cody or whatever, and
- 46:30Speaker 1: so Cody was just existed as a single man. And
- 46:33Speaker 1: but everything was still true, you know, like the people
- 46:35Speaker 1: would want the release because they could still be in heaven.
- 46:37Speaker 1: Janelle would have never gotten the release. He's the he's
- 46:40Speaker 1: the father of her kids. She wouldn't need to, but
- 46:43Speaker 1: she hates Robin that much.
- 46:44Speaker 2: She also does not like Cody as a person. Besides
- 46:47Speaker 2: this episode, everything she says about him, it's like disdain,
- 46:50Speaker 2: Like I don't know him, I don't want to be
- 46:52Speaker 2: around him. Why would I want to hang out with them?
- 46:53Speaker 2: Why would ever you want to be friends with them?
- 46:56Speaker 2: Like I understand you say these things to protect yourself,
- 46:59Speaker 2: Janelle and have to leave. She left because she wanted
- 47:02Speaker 2: to leave. Mary had to leave because she was just
- 47:04Speaker 2: the last leg on this like fucked up trailer.
- 47:09Speaker 1: Jane I think was shamed by her kids and Christine, okay,
- 47:14Speaker 1: because he had already because you're right, he had fucked up.
- 47:16Speaker 1: He divided the family and you know he was in
- 47:18Speaker 1: fights with with her sons because he literally was like,
- 47:21Speaker 1: you guys can't come over. I don't want to hang
- 47:23Speaker 1: out you guys in COVID. Sorry, and then they watched him.
- 47:25Speaker 1: Why about that?
- 47:27Speaker 2: It's like what he kept saying, I don't want to
- 47:29Speaker 2: defect my little kids. It's like why, first of all,
- 47:31Speaker 2: why are you only at Robin's house? How did you
- 47:33Speaker 2: pick her house to be the house?
- 47:35Speaker 1: Well, because Robin has a tender so I have to
- 47:37Speaker 1: be around her. It can't be. I can't be going
- 47:39Speaker 1: from house to house because I'll infect Robin and the
- 47:41Speaker 1: most important people. So no one could do anything. But
- 47:43Speaker 1: we will go ahead. We're going to hire a maid.
- 47:45Speaker 1: We're gonna hire a housekeeper or is it a nanny? Nanny?
- 47:49Speaker 2: Yeah, nanny take care of doesn't work? And for the.
- 47:54Speaker 1: During COVID, Yeah, where everyone's staying home?
- 47:57Speaker 2: Yeah, Like, where are you guys gonna go? You can't
- 48:00Speaker 2: watch your own kid and you have two three teenagers
- 48:04Speaker 2: in the house that could help, Like two are insanely responsible.
- 48:09Speaker 2: I don't know anything about Dan just yeah the whole thing.
- 48:12Speaker 2: He chose them. And then poor Robin's kids. You feel
- 48:15Speaker 2: bad because those guys just didn't have a good dad,
- 48:17Speaker 2: or maybe they do, and we don't know anything about him.
- 48:19Speaker 2: And I heard he is like around and then is
- 48:23Speaker 2: launched in this family where the other kids are like
- 48:25Speaker 2: he's choosing you, and they're like, we don't have zero
- 48:28Speaker 2: say and we hate your mom and they're like this
- 48:31Speaker 2: is our mom and like so and they're like super sheltered.
- 48:35Speaker 2: I do feel bad for Robin's kids.
- 48:38Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I mean yeah, yeah, yeah, except for Ario.
- 48:41Speaker 1: I'll feel bad for her for some reason. Yeah. So
- 48:44Speaker 1: when Christina, Okay, so Christina's wearing a purple body con
- 48:47Speaker 1: dress and I hate this because she's almost like giving
- 48:49Speaker 1: me like the hally Biber Haley Bieber like justin thing
- 48:52Speaker 1: because when she's getting ready, David is wearing like a
- 48:55Speaker 1: blue pullover that's like not I mean, it looks like
- 48:57Speaker 1: he's like going to a different situation ever, and I
- 48:59Speaker 1: feel should be on the same page. But she's like
- 49:01Speaker 1: you look great. I'm like, you're fucking lying again to
- 49:03Speaker 1: another man. How many marriages do you have to like
- 49:05Speaker 1: to spend your life lying to them? For about Christine
- 49:08Speaker 1: is so stupid. But then we get the meetup where
- 49:12Speaker 1: you know, Christine is with David and I'm happy for
- 49:16Speaker 1: her and stets across from Cody, and Cody has like
- 49:18Speaker 1: the same opening line where he really feels like in
- 49:20Speaker 1: order for him to melt the hearts and of these women,
- 49:24Speaker 1: he has to get them, give them what he thinks
- 49:27Speaker 1: they've wanted the entire time, which is he wants to
- 49:31Speaker 1: give an olive branch of his love and instead of
- 49:34Speaker 1: denying his love, be like I did love.
- 49:39Speaker 2: And he also wants to say sorry, and no one's
- 49:41Speaker 2: allowed to say anything back. There can be no opening,
- 49:45Speaker 2: no rebuttal it's just I'm sorry and accept that, and
- 49:49Speaker 2: you are free from my grasp over your heart. And
- 49:55Speaker 2: it's like, bro, like this is a guy. I'm fucking
- 49:58Speaker 2: right now. You know that, right? We got hole married
- 50:01Speaker 2: since I left you. And David's like, what am I
- 50:04Speaker 2: doing here? This is awkward as hell? Like he doesn't
- 50:07Speaker 2: feel intimidated by this. He's looking at Cody's skin headband
- 50:11Speaker 2: that comes between his bangs and the back part and
- 50:14Speaker 2: thinking like, just I did it, Bro, I shaved the
- 50:16Speaker 2: whole thing. Just shave it.
- 50:20Speaker 1: David has in his mind over Cody, the fact that
- 50:25Speaker 1: David not only is it better, I mean in his mind,
- 50:28Speaker 1: I'm saying I don't know David's I don't know David's family.
- 50:30Speaker 1: So he says that he's a good father, and we
- 50:32Speaker 1: just assume that he is, and I'm not saying he's not,
- 50:34Speaker 1: but and surely it feels like you're probably a better
- 50:36Speaker 1: father than Cody, but he's like, I'm a better father
- 50:38Speaker 1: to your kids. I see your kids more than you.
- 50:41Speaker 1: So whatever you're sitting here, buddy, Like, I'm not going
- 50:43Speaker 1: to let you pretend. And I think it's funny because
- 50:47Speaker 1: Cody knows that intrinsically, but he and he cannot stand it,
- 50:51Speaker 1: you know, like he can only acquiesce now that he
- 50:55Speaker 1: was a victim, that he was angry and that he
- 50:58Speaker 1: you know, tried to like hold over the women, that
- 51:00Speaker 1: he didn't love them, which was wrong and or a
- 51:03Speaker 1: lie or not nice or not good to say. But
- 51:05Speaker 1: he'll only give out those, but he won't acquiesce that
- 51:09Speaker 1: his kids hate them. And there's a reason.
- 51:12Speaker 2: Yeah, Like, and it's not one kid, it's all the kids,
- 51:16Speaker 2: all of them except for Robin's, which he gives, like
- 51:19Speaker 2: you said, Ari is just hard to feel bad for,
- 51:22Speaker 2: but the rest of them, you know, Yeah, I feel
- 51:25Speaker 2: like when you don't connect with your own children, you
- 51:27Speaker 2: don't call them your children, you call them their children,
- 51:29Speaker 2: and then you're still holding on to something from COVID.
- 51:32Speaker 2: When one of your kids literally unfortunately passed away by
- 51:36Speaker 2: taking his own like life, you know what I mean,
- 51:38Speaker 2: And you do not register that as being I need
- 51:43Speaker 2: to make a change, like I don't want this to
- 51:45Speaker 2: happen to one more child of mine. That's not running
- 51:48Speaker 2: through your head. You're still thinking about how am I
- 51:50Speaker 2: gonna please Robin through all of this, because like and so,
- 51:54Speaker 2: it's just odd. It's just odd. It's just very character telling.
- 51:57Speaker 2: I don't think he feels anything. I don't know.
- 52:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know what he feels either like other
- 52:05Speaker 1: than but truly none of this is sincere. So it
- 52:08Speaker 1: always feels like he is I don't know what his action,
- 52:12Speaker 1: like his actual action is. It's to get people to
- 52:16Speaker 1: like me. He just wants people to think he's a
- 52:20Speaker 1: surface level you know. He just wants people to think
- 52:22Speaker 1: that that are be okay with him or think that
- 52:25Speaker 1: he's not a bad guy.
- 52:26Speaker 2: And he was super probably likable his whole life. I mean,
- 52:30Speaker 2: his job was like just to sell signs right for
- 52:33Speaker 2: a long time, which is like a business of relations
- 52:36Speaker 2: or whatever. And then he's at the church and he
- 52:38Speaker 2: was like a good looking dude when he was on
- 52:40Speaker 2: that shirt of yours, like not bad looking for that church,
- 52:44Speaker 2: and like it seemed like all the wives were not
- 52:48Speaker 2: a little fool they were like he was so different before.
- 52:51Speaker 2: But I feel like money and fame and like getting
- 52:55Speaker 2: what you want kind of sort of magnifies your real personality.
- 53:00Speaker 2: And somehow I think is real personality has come out
- 53:03Speaker 2: in the last few years and there's no redemption, Like
- 53:06Speaker 2: you fix it with your kids. These wives don't give
- 53:08Speaker 2: a shit, Like they all say the same thing, fix
- 53:09Speaker 2: it with your kids. Even David said, you really got
- 53:12Speaker 2: to fix it with your kid.
- 53:13Speaker 1: Yeah, because it's true, Like this is because what show is,
- 53:17Speaker 1: Like what do you really want any of these wives
- 53:19Speaker 1: that has like five fucking kids with you to really
- 53:21Speaker 1: forgive you for if you're not doing what they really
- 53:24Speaker 1: only care about, which is like you've already. Like I
- 53:27Speaker 1: feel like every wife and Christine is like, you failed me.
- 53:30Speaker 1: There's nothing that you can give me. You failed me, Like,
- 53:32Speaker 1: just can you just somehow not fail our children for
- 53:36Speaker 1: the next forty years or whatever your life for? Like
- 53:40Speaker 1: that's what I would care if I had one thing
- 53:42Speaker 1: in this whole world, it would be for you not
- 53:45Speaker 1: to make our kids life even worse than you have.
- 53:49Speaker 2: Like imagine going to a family event, which the only
- 53:51Speaker 2: event they could go to together is a funeral. It's
- 53:55Speaker 2: you and your wife and her two kids and your
- 53:58Speaker 2: two kids together and then the entire family feeling weird
- 54:01Speaker 2: and separate from you, like, oh, like weird is that?
- 54:07Speaker 2: And I don't know, he's got to be messed up
- 54:09Speaker 2: and said he needs therapy.
- 54:12Speaker 1: Yeah, he didn't.
- 54:13Speaker 2: Look a therapist to come in. That's all over, Like
- 54:16Speaker 2: Bravo and VH one, that one blonde lady who does
- 54:19Speaker 2: every single thing, she should come in and just work
- 54:22Speaker 2: on Cody for a while. She really like breaks people down.
- 54:24Speaker 2: I wish I knew her name.
- 54:25Speaker 1: I bet you anything. But they offered that to Cody,
- 54:28Speaker 1: and Cody knew intrinsically, but that would make him look bad.
- 54:31Speaker 1: There'd be no way around professionally someone without trying to
- 54:35Speaker 1: make him actually take responsibility, accountability, and he he feels
- 54:39Speaker 1: like it was going to gang up on him. So
- 54:40Speaker 1: I know he wouldn't, you know. I mean, I don't
- 54:43Speaker 1: know why I feel like I know Cody.
- 54:45Speaker 2: Here's the thing is, we've invested watching him. It's true,
- 54:49Speaker 2: and like the thing is they not a lot happens
- 54:52Speaker 2: in every episode. I mean, they really read the same
- 54:54Speaker 2: things over and over again. So we have heard so
- 54:58Speaker 2: much repetition over the last season because they have to
- 55:02Speaker 2: stretch these things out, Like this apology tour is like
- 55:05Speaker 2: the biggest thing that's happened this season.
- 55:07Speaker 1: I feel like, oh yeah, I mean, we didn't have
- 55:09Speaker 1: a lot because there's literally nothing happening at the farm. Literally,
- 55:12Speaker 1: it's just like they was like, oh, things are slowered,
- 55:13Speaker 1: didn't Mint move. Then we got Mary's storyline about dating,
- 55:17Speaker 1: which was you know, however you feel about that. The
- 55:19Speaker 1: only the best part about Mary dating for me is
- 55:22Speaker 1: when they ride electrical bikes, because it made me think
- 55:24Speaker 1: of the time you and I did, And I was like, oh,
- 55:25Speaker 1: remember when Monique and I were on electrical bikes. We
- 55:28Speaker 1: had a lot more fun than Mary and Ron did,
- 55:30Speaker 1: Like they even try and give. So Ron is like
- 55:32Speaker 1: the guys she met from the matchmaking and then you know,
- 55:33Speaker 1: God blessed. Jen has like her husband's going through it,
- 55:36Speaker 1: and so Mary decides to have like a pancake run
- 55:38Speaker 1: eggs situation, honey, and she really wanted them eggs to
- 55:41Speaker 1: be fried. She really wanted for some reason, she thought
- 55:44Speaker 1: to be really easy for people to just flip an
- 55:45Speaker 1: egg on a grill each scramble one egg by itself.
- 55:51Speaker 1: I don't she's crazy like.
- 55:53Speaker 2: And buffet for breakfast where there are fried eggs in
- 55:58Speaker 2: that warmer and not scramble, Like in what world for
- 56:01Speaker 2: the masses are you making eggs?
- 56:03Speaker 1: Sorry to interact, it's easier. No, you're right, but like
- 56:05Speaker 1: that's like I feel like probably a perfect example, but
- 56:07Speaker 1: Christine had a fucking deal with her whole goddamn life.
- 56:11Speaker 2: No, I think we should do fried, and Christine's just
- 56:13Speaker 2: like I make the eggs for everyone every single day
- 56:15Speaker 2: for breakfast. I know you're trying to do it today, but.
- 56:20Speaker 1: Sorry, sorry, Mary, I just no offence. You have to
- 56:22Speaker 1: make what it's probably easy if you can make like a
- 56:24Speaker 1: Friday you have one child, right, like, yeah, you just
- 56:26Speaker 1: went crack two eggs or frog and fucking fried. When
- 56:28Speaker 1: you make like a brood, make like a bunch of
- 56:30Speaker 1: fucking eggs. We just scramble it, bitch. You don't even
- 56:33Speaker 1: have to get a separate bowl to scramble it, and
- 56:34Speaker 1: you just scramble it in the fucking pan. That's what
- 56:36Speaker 1: we do. When you like, aren't holding on dear life
- 56:40Speaker 1: for nothing?
- 56:40Speaker 2: You know, and you know Mariah was going to Christine's
- 56:43Speaker 2: house for breakfast in the morning. Anyways, they were living
- 56:49Speaker 2: in one house together at one point. What a nightmare.
- 56:52Speaker 1: I don't want a dead name. Maria's let's let's let's
- 56:54Speaker 1: call it Leon. Now let's yes, I know, I know,
- 56:58Speaker 1: and yeah, I know you did, I know. I just
- 57:02Speaker 1: want to make sure that weird.
- 57:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 57:07Speaker 1: So basically the thing about Christine's meeting like where Janelle
- 57:12Speaker 1: it's like almost like Goldilocks where it gets a little better,
- 57:14Speaker 1: where Janelle was just like, yeah, Cody, thank you so
- 57:16Speaker 1: much for doing this. You're so great, and I think
- 57:17Speaker 1: link Christine's like what happened? What's happening? And Cody always tries.
- 57:22Speaker 1: Cody has the exact same game plan. Open with shitty,
- 57:25Speaker 1: stupid small talk, come in with the I always loved you,
- 57:28Speaker 1: and then like see what happens from there, and he
- 57:31Speaker 1: after that is like, you know, our love, our journey
- 57:34Speaker 1: was poetic. It was sunsets and sometimes sunrises, and she's
- 57:37Speaker 1: like oh uh huh. And then he gets into like
- 57:40Speaker 1: the crux, which is that I just I really just want,
- 57:43Speaker 1: you know, to release you so you heal. And as
- 57:45Speaker 1: she's sitting there, as you said, with her husband, She's like,
- 57:49Speaker 1: I'm the one that's good, buddy, Yeah you came here.
- 57:55Speaker 1: I hate that that. I don't understand why he doesn't
- 57:58Speaker 1: cognitively understand that, nor anyone, Like even Robin was like,
- 58:02Speaker 1: just so you know, since you're going there, do you
- 58:05Speaker 1: remember why? What are you gonna say for me? And
- 58:06Speaker 1: he's like, yeah, I was just gonna tell them that
- 58:07Speaker 1: I released them from their like turmoil over me. She's like, okay,
- 58:11Speaker 1: how about you just say that you fucked up over
- 58:15Speaker 1: and over again because that's the only thing you can
- 58:17Speaker 1: probably remember to do. And he's like, yeah, I'll just
- 58:19Speaker 1: keep saying I fucked up.
- 58:21Speaker 2: You think Robin would let him admit that. I don't
- 58:23Speaker 2: think so, because I think she still like it to
- 58:25Speaker 2: be viewed as the wives left the family and they
- 58:28Speaker 2: didn't make it work and we all made this promise,
- 58:30Speaker 2: and then if they had stuck it out. So I
- 58:33Speaker 2: think she almost said to him like save face, but
- 58:37Speaker 2: also apologize, or maybe she didn't because he's like, you
- 58:41Speaker 2: can't control that wild beast. I feel like she'd felt
- 58:44Speaker 2: it was just like just say you're really sorry and
- 58:46Speaker 2: focus on the apology. Focus on just saying sorry, and
- 58:49Speaker 2: don't let it go anywhere else. So if they try
- 58:51Speaker 2: to bring up the kids to say, I'm not talking
- 58:53Speaker 2: about this right now. Yeah, that's her advice, I feel like,
- 58:58Speaker 2: because like and then whatever he did, he did because
- 59:01Speaker 2: you can only you can't control that man.
- 59:05Speaker 1: Yeah, there's also a reason why Robin didn't even accompany
- 59:07Speaker 1: him to like any place, like even to be like, Okay,
- 59:09Speaker 1: it's a show support. I'll just go to Vegas with you.
- 59:11Speaker 1: I'll let you go downstairs to this you know, private
- 59:13Speaker 1: meeting and then when you come up, you know, you
- 59:15Speaker 1: have me in a private abanner or whatever. Like she
- 59:18Speaker 1: she does seem to not want to deal with him
- 59:20Speaker 1: at all as much as possible, like and.
- 59:22Speaker 2: So Billa coached. She doesn't want him to look coached
- 59:26Speaker 2: because that's what he has looked like the entire time
- 59:30Speaker 2: by her like control of the like this is all
- 59:33Speaker 2: on him, and then he's going to come back and
- 59:36Speaker 2: tell her how it goes afterwards. It's like, like you
- 59:38Speaker 2: fucking haven't been talking about it every night before you left. Yeah,
- 59:44Speaker 2: Janelle went easy, so he thought the next two would
- 59:46Speaker 2: be easy, but then he ended up with Mary, which
- 59:49Speaker 2: was by far the worst. And by the way, Christina
- 59:51Speaker 2: and David inviting him to go like race car driving,
- 59:54Speaker 2: and then Moab like, I mean, I get what you
- 59:57Speaker 2: were trying to do, but that's just so awkward and weird,
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: and then you shouldn't have been there. Christine just let
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: the two guys.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: Go yeah, I didn't understand that part, like, yes, you're right.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: So this ends, as I said, with her just being like, okay, well,
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: we're just gonna end it now. Christine couldn't wait to
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: lead this meeting. She's like, I think it's good. I
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: think we're good, which is interesting because literally he's going
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: to run away from the merry meetings so fucking fast,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: and this meeting he was like, oh okay. Now they had,
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: as you said, already had this pre existing plan that
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: they were going to hang out the next day. So
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: Christine was like, I have to fucking film one more
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: goddamn day with you now. Christine, who had put on
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: a purple bodyconn dress for this, for this outfit, for
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: this sorry meet up. The next day, she's like, back
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: to basics, and maybe you're right, maybe this is where
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: she's not that sophisticated, because she just looks like, I mean,
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: God blessed, she's not on TV. I mean, I know,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: I know David also just you know this is his
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: This is like David's strong suit. So I'm like, yeah,
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: why did we pick where David shines?
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: You know?
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: Yeah? And the weird and the thing is about these
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: women is that I will say from season one to
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: season sixteen twenty, they still don't care about what they wear. No.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: See, it's actually come from.
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: Down right has a little but Janelle will never give
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: a shit Like every housewife matures with their show, gets glam,
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: gets new wardrobe, gets set unions. TLC is in a
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: whole new is in a whole other world. They are like,
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: come as you are in your button down, buttoned down,
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: whatever button down that is, because it's always a button down.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: Pick an eyebrow shape and then just keep trying, just.
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: Keep drawing that baby in important. I mean, I think
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: Robin listened to the comments about her eyebrows because this
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: season they are definitely softer than the painted on spermrows.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: Yeah, Mary's brows have gone through a journey. Mckelthy's brows
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: have gone through a journey, you know, like.
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: Brown and give it a chance to heal.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: But Mary's also gone through a glow up. I think
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: Mary's glope is the most significant to me.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I will say that her makeup looks so much better.
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: Anyways, continue, So I'm sorry I couldn't hear you quad
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: for Christine at the racetrack and David, is that where
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: we were? Yes?
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: Yeah, based, yes, yeah, and that.
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: Was what it was? Awkward as hell.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm so sorry. Go ahead, I think David, I
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: want to hear you very well, my love. Can you
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: talk a little louder?
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: I think David came in last.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: No, he came in first. Christine came in last.
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: Are you sure?
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: Yeah? I looked at the scores.
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: Oh, I thought I.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: Did he beat Cody?
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: Oh? Christine was like, yes, yeah, David got something act
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: that track.
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: My god, what he got? I mean, he got the
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: DJ of his life that night.
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: You had the book, right, Christine's book? Yeah, okay, I've
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: only read excerpts. We both should read that book.
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: Oh god, okay, what did the excerpts say?
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: Sex? Oh? Well, that she that he required Cody required
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: massages before sex, and she stopped giving massages. And then
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: one day Robin was like, hey, Christine, why don't you
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: want a massage Cody anymore? And Christine was like, how
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: the fuck.
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: Do you know that? Why don't we talk about this
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: in the show?
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: I know, I know what is in the NDA want.
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: That's the juice I want. It's obviously not an NDA
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: if she wrote about it right, he always wanted massages.
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: We all want massages every day, but like require it,
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: Like I want a massage every day. But I can't
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: imagine being like part of us having sex is you
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: have to give me a massage.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: Yeah, if you want to have sex with me, first,
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: one hour massage, deep tissue.
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: I should have been doing that my whole twenties because
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: they offered shitty massages anyways, they always do, but I
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: have to be like, for the second and third time,
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: you also have to give that massage, not just the first.
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: I just want until they have sex, just so you know.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: Anyways, continue, No, I am assuming that they just want
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: to massage boobs and butt. That's not like you know,
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: which is fine, like a little glutes, but you have
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: to really get into my traps. I just don't know
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: they're going to be able to do that. So basically,
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: you know they run, they do the cars. Christine can't
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: give one a fuck. She's like, thank God, that's the
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: one shot I have to do with Cody this time.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: I can't believe they talked me into two goddamn days.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: It was that that was must have been like there
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: must have been a they must have I don't know,
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: gave them like a per DM in Vegas or something
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: to make that work. But then we get obviously the
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: next the case then, so that happens, and then that's
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: what Robin then talks to Orora about relationships and her
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: new boyfriend, and you know, tells her about the burning
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: of the bosom, which we talked about, and you right,
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: you're right also that Robin does have a lot of
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: besides that do make you make her her POV being
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: that the other wives rag on Cody and keep trying
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: to push him down the drain like you know that
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: he she is feeding of certain victim complex to him.
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: Yeah, because I mean, if they're victims together, they have
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: to be victims together, because Robin has to be the
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: eternal victim in order for this to work for her.
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: Otherwise she screwed an entire family that started together and
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: then ended with just her like ultimate villain's status in
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: this situation.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: I think, Yeah, is Jessica, who Ursula turns into in
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: real be nine, Like she's kind of like that kind
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: of a little bit, is it Jessica who is Dorsala,
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: which she turns into the hot version of Ursula, like
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: Jessica Bronica Broonica sounds good.
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: Even worse than that, because she comes in like she
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: is like the most pious sweetest, doesn't understand anything, just
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: wants to make sister wive's closet work. And it's like
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: that she'd stop trying to make Sister Wig's closet work,
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: like none of us want to work together and make
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: this jewelry. And she's like, I need some kind of income.
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: And but she realized that she would not have that
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: as an escape or anything. She was like, I just
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: have to make this. I have to get rid of
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: all of you m Sully one by one, or you
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: all need to be basement wives and I need to
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: be at the top. I think she hoped they'd all stay,
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: they'd all be basement wives and she would be like
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: the main wife. And it worked because she was. And
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: then but she didn't anticipate them all leaving. I don't think.
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: God. I just had an ultimate fucking aha, moment. Let's
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: hear they're all in MLMs, they're all in pyramid schemes,
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: because that's basically.
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: What the hierarchy of polygamy.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: Yeah, like there's a top tier status and there's the
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: people that work to give that money their income, and
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: that you know they're on the basement or you know
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: they're always going to be there feeding the top.
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean they always say there's like one wife.
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: It's usually like the first wife that runs all the
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: other wives, like the household, but it can change, I think,
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: And then like the how there isn't a hierarchy, you
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: would be The only way that would work is if
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: none of the wives really care about the husband anymore
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: and they were more just friends and work together without
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: even dealing with him. And I feel like that's more
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: of a rarity in these situations.
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that the jealousy and whatnot in fact
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: that these women don't really pick to be together, and
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: so if they're not friendly, it's just like being stuck
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: with someone who then also gets jealous of you and
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: weird around you.
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: A roommate for life. That's fucking your husband.
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: And if they're mean to your kids, yeah, you.
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: Just deal with it, like I think they glamorize this
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: idea of this poly goodness family that worked, and I
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: think there has never been like one that you can
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: see where it worked well. I think they all come
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: to that realization they don't know a Policatus family that's
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: harmonious like that.
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: I try and say that one family, but then on
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: the streets are like that family is all fucked up
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: to I forgot the name of like there's you know, yeah,
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: but yes. So basically, let's move on to the final meeting,
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: which is, of course Mary. He meets Mary, and Mary
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: is on guard. Her eyes are open and they're blue,
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: and she hates him, and he really tries to start
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: again with small talk and she can't stomach it. She
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: can't stand it. She's like, don't ask me fucking questions
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: and he is like, I'm just trying to be friendly,
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: and it's like you can be friendly without asking a question,
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: and then when someone doesn't want to answer and kind
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: of pushes back, not asking for more details, like it's
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: a weird situation because he's like, yeah, how are you doing?
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: She's like good, all good things, like what are the
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: good things specifically? And she's like I'm not going to
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: tell you my secrets. If I were, I mean it
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: just it would have been really fun just to see
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: if somebody can go back and forth being like things, Yeah,
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: how about you, buddy, how are your good things? Like
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: your kids? Talk about that?
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: Yeah. I feel like she put the hammer on him
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: every time and was like and as soon as he
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: tried to delve a little deeper, she kind of freaked
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: out on him a little bit, which I'm happy about.
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: I like seeing Mary kind of go off on him
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: and be like, you don't deserve to know anything about me.
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: Granted he didn't ask for a deep, dark secrets. He
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: just asked how what things were what she was referring
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: to in that, and then she's like, you're not gonna
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: shut me down anymore, like when she really tried to
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: express herself. That was the best part.
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: Yeah, it was a messy Listen, it's a great messy scene.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: No one's perfect and no one's right. Mary goes in,
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: which feels like she went in with like a narcissistic
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: playbook handbook where she's like, this is what I'm gonna
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: have to deal with. I'm going with the narcissist. So
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: he's gonna do this and do that. I'm gonna be
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: on gom and I'm not saying She's not. I get it.
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: And then he goes in with Cody's adhd I'm gonna
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: keep saying forgiveness, and Mary's matt make forgiveness, Mary's mad
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: at me. I'm just here for good vibes, good vibes,
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: and marys and then she she won't allow him to
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: do anything, and so he feels like everything is just
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: like forcefully, you know, like adversarial, and he's like, okay,
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: I okay, yeah, and then at the same time she
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: starts to be like because he is in a patriarchal world,
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: so he has no problem saying things that my dad
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: says to me that I sound that I in my mind,
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: I'm like, oh my god, this is so dumb. Or
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: he's like I just you know, don't want you. I
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: really want you to know that I think it's okay
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: for this and that, and I'm like, well, just so
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: you know, I don't really care how you feel about it,
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: So does that help you, because if you're trying to
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: help me, I don't. It's like the nice way of
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: being like, I don't it's not my responsibility to deal
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: with how you feel about it, so you don't even
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: have to worry about how I feel. Now. Mary says that,
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: and then she kind of goes back on that where
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: when he says something, she's like, well, I does want
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: you to know, and he's like, well, it's not my
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: responsibility to know. And and so there is kind of
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: like two toddlers who had gone to like a couple
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: of maybe therapy talks and then was like, I'm gonna
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: come with what I've learned.
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: You know, Yes, that's absolutely one hundred percent factual. That
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: is a great way to break it down. That is
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: how it felt. And I feel like for her, she
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: just hates him now. I think she finally flipped to
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: the other side where she can't even like stand him,
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: and so everything is a trigger and if she tries
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: to talk about it. You saw him try to shut
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: her down and just be like, I'm just here to apologize,
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: but you have to elaborate, buddy, Like if I say, well,
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: are you apologizing for this? You can't shut my ass down.
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: And I feel like that's sort of what he decided
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: to come out on top. And he doesn't realize these
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: women don't give a fuck anymore.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: It's very hard for me to understand that. But also
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: it's like, okay, you he like he's coming with I
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: want to come to apologize. And what you have to
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: understand is I get to do something as well. I
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: get to show up and save my piece. If you
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: are expecting me to come and hear your piece, then
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: the it doesn't see That's where like the patriarchal society
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: thing is like why he doesn't understand that in order
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: for him to have the power and or the privilege
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: and or the right to do what he's doing, which
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: is show up and say something, he has to allow
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: space for them to do the same thing. They're standing
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: there and they get to say something. But the fact
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: that he's like no, no, no, is like shut the
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: fuck up. Then yeah, like I give. If you are
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: apologizing in front of me, then then I've allowed you
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: to I'm allowing. I'm not talking, I'm not walking away.
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: I'm watching you make noises from your mouth and I'm
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: grinning and bearing it. So you get that chance too, buddy.
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: I think he like thought it would be the equivalent
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: of sending a video, like next time, send a video,
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: because there's no response you know what I mean, just
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: send them something that they can't reply to, because that
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: a conversation is not how that works. And the weird
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: thing is they said he was never super patriarchal, even
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: though that's obviously counting.
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: Wouldn't even know they are.
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: Exactly until and I think whatever it was got amped
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: up in the last like six years with like I'm
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: supposed to be the head and you're supposed to obey me,
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: Like apparently that was never the rhetoric prior to like.
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: Rob it Trump. I bet you know everything is I don't.
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: I just feel like, obviously we're in an age where
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: a lot of people were saying things that.
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: Yeah, we're an in cell culture rebirth again, so I
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: get it. But yeah, obviously he's alone and unhappy, and
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: there's probably a lot of dudes being like you you,
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: that's good for you, bro. Get rid of the fucking
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: like extra weight. You don't need all that shit. And
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: then he talks to his one friend in the episode
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: who he married, Nah Chris Name. I was like, can
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: you imagine a guy who has three women leave him
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: at once doing your marriage ceremony and how prophatic that
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: might be for your particular marriage right, right? Was that
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: guy a polygamist too or just a friend? Is he
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: a polygamist?
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: God? I just seems that way, but I don't really know.
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: You know, is his first wife I think or whatever?
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: Yeah, I can't remember exactly if they're as for some reason.
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: Either way, don't look good.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: No, it doesn't bode well honestly they are then, because
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: I wouldn't because like, if he has a power of
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: married people, wouldn't have to kind of be like the
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: specificness of his ordainedness or whatever.
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: I'm great, Sorry, Yeah, I can marry people. I think
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: you can do it online in five minutes.
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: Oh like Universal Life Church. I mean, I'm I'm a minister.
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: I can get I can marry anyone.
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: Into my wont Co ministers together.
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: Yeah, get married by us. It's a fun time.
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: It will be way more cohesive than this. We'd have
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: a script, we'd have jokes, we'd have crying, we'd have laughter.
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: It would be great.
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: Now, what you better show up with is money and
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: good life the person that's hiring us.
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: Because they are going to be fire.
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: So basically some of that. So he is literally just
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: saying the word apology over and over again. I just
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: want to apologize, and she's like, this doesn't seem real,
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: and he's like, it's not. That's why. She's like. She's like,
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: it doesn't seem like you're being sincere, and he's like, yeah,
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: obviously right.
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: I feel like he just was offended that they wanted
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: to talk and there's no other way to like offended
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: that they had anything else to say, and then the
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: conversation shut down for the last time when she mentioned
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: it's kids.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: Then he was like, you know what, I got a pee.
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: I'm so sorry. I just suddenly pee at a piece
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: so bad. And then the video, the video of him
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: running away from Mary has been made a gift.
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: I did not know that that had happened, and feel
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: free to send it to me.
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: I wonder if that, if literally was like his audition
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: video to be on Special Special Forces, Like I can
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: run up a fucking mountain.
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: I can run from these wives faster than.
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: Anyone kids wives. I don't get a shit. I've been
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: running for twenty seasons on TV. Buddies, watch the catalog.
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: You know we shoul for get in this two seater
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: so fast.
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: I think he still has already got rid of it
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: now that he's with Robin.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: I think he got I think he got rid of
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: it and got a new obnoxious choice. Yeah, obnoxious choice
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: is like a very really great thing to like describe him.
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: But this is what I want to We can end
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: on this discussion with you. We've we've talked about, but
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: let's just finally put the basement baby and hierarchy to bed,
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: because this is where Christine was, like, I realized I
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: was a basement wife and I was on the lowest
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: total pole. Mary's like, and they had done this a
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: lot in the season, which is in lieu of them
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: at all filming together. They'll get the idea from one
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: person and then be able to go back and have
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: interviews where they're like, okay, you know, show maybe even
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: show mclipp or be like h or maybe just say
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: the producer, like so Mary, Christine brought up the fact
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: that she was in the basement. Now, what they don't
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: say is Christine also mentioned that she heard everything thoughts,
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: you know, which we would love to be like, but
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: they're like, what do you think about this? And Mary
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: is like, Cody honestly rotated affections until Robin came along. Yeah,
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: and Cody also talked a big game of like always
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: having to like always was going to always take care
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: of any wife that he like fucked over, you know,
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: and how like different that was, and how he really
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: just threw it all away from Robin and he seemingly
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: won't even take I wonder if he knew that if
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: he took responsibility for that, they would hate Robin less.
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: Yeah. Probably, I think it's all for Robin. This entire
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: Apollo newtory for Robin riven by Robin and is to
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: benefit Robin. So Cody takes responsibility and she stops being
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: the reason why everybody hates that part of the family
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: because of course they're blaming Robin. They're blaming Robin's children
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: coming in the picture, Robin in general. And it's like
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: Cody is his own man. He made all the decisions.
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: He should shoulder the blame for his choices. Yeah, And
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: so like even if like she might be the like
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: under pulling the strings or whatever, he still is the
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: head of the household. You make those fucking choices. You
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: fell in love with one wife, you never loved the others, and.
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: You didn't have the wherewithal to like to disband everyone
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: or be able to be truthful with everyone in a
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: way that like would allow them to live happily. Your
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: choice was then for only you to live happily and
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: for everyone to just grin and bear it.
- 1:18:56Speaker 2: And just deal with it. And also you were too
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: much of a fucking pussy to do anything, too much
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: of a pussy to do in anything.
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: Oh yeah, absolutely sorry. I'm like, I can't get now.
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: I have to talk ladder because I don't have my
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: little mic on. But yeah, I think you just couldn't
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: And I shouldn't use that word only because the pussy
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: is powerful and I don't want it to equate it
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: with someone like Cody. But that hair is reminiscent of sums.
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: But he, I just feel like he would never it
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: would be a failure in that church to get rid
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: of those wives. So you just accumulate and just keep
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: shoving them further into the basement or across the street,
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: or like in the shed.
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: Public storage maybe whatever.
- 1:19:38Speaker 2: Pass.
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, so what do you Okay? So as it
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: ends there, the streets say that Janelle put up a
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: post that looked like maybe that she was like going
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: off the show, but maybe she just try to kind
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: of like do that Janelle tends to write posts with
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: like chat GPT, so they sound a certain way. The
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: options for the next t in our, the season happens
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: like we did, he goes on an apology tour from
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: the kids. I feel like, for some reason, I could
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: see him being on Dancing with the Stars, even though
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: I don't know how he would have a female partner,
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: because I think that he would pretend that Robin would
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: be upset by it. But then I wonder if the
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: want for fame would would put a wedge in between
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: that and allow him to like have a beef with
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: rob in order to have more fame. Like I wonder
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: all of that.
- 1:20:22Speaker 2: You know, they just wouldn't do sexy dances.
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: They wouldn't do sex scene dances.
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: They wouldn't do sexy dances. They would do dances like
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: fun dances, you know what I mean. Like I feel
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: like he would, but he would definitely do Dancing with
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: the Stars. I would be shocked if there's another season.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: I would be shocked the way it looks or completely Like.
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: In general, I think this season is so funny, damn boring,
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: and they've all been boring, but there's like nothing left,
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: like we are ringing this dry because they're not together anymore,
- 1:20:56Speaker 2: so we're really just following individual lives, and all their
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: lives are boring.
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: Yeah. I only think the way they could save it
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: is if they somehow got some of the kids to
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: like let them the kids deal with them, especially like,
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: like I said, there are kids in different like you know,
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: there's so many kids that they have different lives and
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: different like places they're living, and like maybe that would
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: be like interesting to watch. Yeah, it's interesting to watch Leon,
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: and it's interesting to watch Maddie, you know, like you know,
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: and if they're all coming together, especially if you can
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: make them all come together, because you don't have to
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: have Robin and Cody film with them. But like it
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: would be amazing if they got all the kids together
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: like and filmed it all, you know, Like yeah, but
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: I had.
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: I think it was during the funeral. They had a
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: scene where Leon is talking to I think Maddie and
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: they're talking about how they would like to reach out
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: to Robin's kids to like talk to them. Like I
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: would love to see more scenes with Leon and their partner.
- 1:21:56Speaker 2: I can't remember Leon's partner's name.
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: Me either, not to be the person that's always been
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: telling Reddit news. But people found out that Leon and
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: Maddie do not follow each other on Instagram.
- 1:22:07Speaker 2: Oh see, I want to know. I want to know
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: the real relationships and really what And it probably is
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: because of Maddie's beliefs, which probably if she is a
- 1:22:21Speaker 2: certain side, would be directly like against everything that Leon is.
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: Leon is with Aubrey Aubrey.
- 1:22:30Speaker 2: Okay, great love.
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: That we are actually at the I.
- 1:22:35Speaker 2: Thought Aubrey transitioned. Am I wrong? I thought they both did.
- 1:22:42Speaker 2: I could have sworn they both did, But maybe I'm wrong.
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: I don't know, if you know what, I don't know.
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: For some reason, I remember Aubrey's name being Aubrey, and
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: I don't remember there ever being a different name.
- 1:22:54Speaker 2: So we shall open up.
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: But Lisa, Lisa tends to know things. Lisa's on time,
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: She follows all of them.
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: Of course, thank god for Lisa.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: I know, all right, that's the end of the apology tour,
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: and we'll find out what happens from here, you know,
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: like and obviously they take nine years to shoot one season,
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: but we don't know. We don't know what's gonna if
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: they can make it work. She kept her name when
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: they talk about him. Yeah, I love you so much.
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: You're my favorite person in the world. And you're also
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: my cousin, which is great for me because I didn't
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: have to like get married into someone to like have
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: you with my life, you know. But thank thankfully your
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: mom got married into my family. You know, I guess
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: my dad's family, so I should say, and then that's
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: how you're here, and that's how I'm here, and that's
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: how we get to be, you.
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: Know, friends, family, but your dad's.
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: Well, my mom married into our dad's family. It's like
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: I didn't talk about my mom.
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: That's fair. Here's the thing. I love you so much.
- 1:23:50Speaker 2: Thanks for having me on, and thanks guys for your patience.
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: It's my like first long stream with Chris in a while.
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: So if I step on her, I apologize.
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: No, no, I It'll be easier next time. We have
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: a little mic so I can understand. I can hear
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: you when you're talking, because sometimes I was like, oh, oh,
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: I'm so sorry I can't hear. But other than that,
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: you are the mo farah on all your socials, and
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: you have a substack, right or tell me we just
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: go over where you'd like people to follow you.
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: Oh yeah, definitely on Instagram, even though mine's private, I
- 1:24:24Speaker 2: will accept it. And on my substack, my stories are
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: definitely about dating fails, and they will get more cerebral
- 1:24:32Speaker 2: as they go. But the first two are up and
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: the third one is coming I think next week, So
- 1:24:37Speaker 2: enjoy that ridiculousness.
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: Yeah, and can you believe it's New Year's Eve? It's
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: like how we're ending to twenty twenty five, where we're
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: like gonna have people go out in the world and
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: have a beautiful twenty twenty six.
- 1:24:49Speaker 2: You know, I love that so much. And just be safe, guys,
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: it's raining in a lot of places. Be careful and like,
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: just appreciate what you got going on. If we're going
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: into the next year.
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: Yes, but also if you are in a situation that
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: is a loveless marriage with a narcissist who clearly love
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: someone else and is just dragging you down, get this
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: to be the year that you fucking leave get out.
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: Yeah okay, yeah, I mean obviously, yeah, I agree with
- 1:25:18Speaker 2: her on that.
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: Oh my god, I love it. So I usually end
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: my lives with a with two breaths of present breath
