Today, we learn from the Apostle Paul the secret to overcoming the power of sin, temptations, and impure Godless tendencies we all wrestle with as humans. Being saved from the power of sin is a moment-by-moment experience that must be brought to us by Jesus Christ. Trying to overcome sin in our human strength is not sustainable, we need a power greater than ourselves. This is why Jesus tells us in John 15 that we can do nothing without Him. The Christian life is not to be lived by ourselves. It is to be lived by Christ, who is resident within the life of the believer.
