The Five-Year-Old his Parents didn't Want, Trump's Wealth-Building Revolution & Media makes Violent Offender a Saint Week In Review · The 47 Morning Update with Ben Ferguson

• 0:01
Speaker 1: Welcome. It is Verdic with Ted Cruz Ben Ferguson with you.
• 0:04
Speaker 1: It's the Weekend Review, and here are the big stories
• 0:06
Speaker 1: that you may have missed that we talked about. First up,
• 0:09
Speaker 1: the media lied using a five year old boy to
• 0:12
Speaker 1: slander Ice and Homeland Security agents. So what is the
• 0:16
Speaker 1: real story. Well, it's not what they told you, and
• 0:19
Speaker 1: we'll have it for you. Also, the nitty gritty on
• 0:22
Speaker 1: the Trump accounts and how it could literally transform America
• 0:26
Speaker 1: into a different place for young people. This is a
• 0:29
Speaker 1: major opportunity for so many American families, So how can
• 0:32
Speaker 1: you get involved in it? We'll explain it as well.
• 0:35
Speaker 1: And finally, a man that was shot in Minneapolis. They
• 0:38
Speaker 1: memorialized him in the media as a kind, loving man
• 0:41
Speaker 1: who is just to do gooder. Well, now more of
• 0:44
Speaker 1: the story's coming out, and that man wasn't so peaceful
• 0:47
Speaker 1: after all. It's the Weekend Review and it starts right now.
• 0:51
Speaker 2: Ice apprehends five year old child. That story was everywhere,
• 0:55
Speaker 2: By the way, it's a total lie. It's absolutely false.
• 0:59
Speaker 2: In fact, what happened and is Ice came to apprehend
• 1:02
Speaker 2: the father. The father ran off and abandoned the five
• 1:04
Speaker 2: year old child. And and understandably, Ice was not going
• 1:08
Speaker 2: to leave a five year old child alone on the
• 1:11
Speaker 2: street in the death outside.
• 1:13
Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean they wouldn' leave alone period. But the
• 1:16
Speaker 1: but the argument that the left has made, I'm like,
• 1:17
Speaker 1: let me get this straight. You guys want the kid
• 1:19
Speaker 1: to be left alone just to wander the streets of
• 1:21
Speaker 1: a city and be alone. That's insane. And then in
• 1:25
Speaker 1: the winter when they could freeze death, that's also insane.
• 1:28
Speaker 2: They, by the way, found the woman, the mother of
• 1:30
Speaker 2: the child. It is reported they found the mother of
• 1:33
Speaker 2: the child. They knocked on the door, tried to give
• 1:35
Speaker 2: the child back to her. She wouldn't take him. She
• 1:38
Speaker 2: closed the door and said, no, I won't take him.
• 1:40
Speaker 2: And so, look, the purpose of that story is not
• 1:44
Speaker 2: actually factual journalism. It is entirely about telling a story
• 1:49
Speaker 2: to pull on people's heartstrings and to cause suburban voters
• 1:54
Speaker 2: who are not paying close attention to say, oh, this
• 1:57
Speaker 2: has gone too far. If they're shooting moms and nurses
• 2:00
Speaker 2: and arresting little kids, clearly it's gone too far. This
• 2:04
Speaker 2: is a political campaign, and tragically, it's a political campaign
• 2:08
Speaker 2: that is costing people's lives. But because look, the political
• 2:12
Speaker 2: campaign is having some real effect.
• 2:14
Speaker 3: It is, it is having a fact.
• 2:17
Speaker 2: We saw, you know, John Kasick speaking of suburban women.
• 2:24
Speaker 2: We saw John Kasik put out a whole video saying,
• 2:28
Speaker 2: you know, oh, oh, I'm just I'm hurting so much.
• 2:32
Speaker 2: We must stop, we must stop arresting illegals. You know,
• 2:36
Speaker 2: Unfortunately that's the target audience. And and in the world
• 2:41
Speaker 2: of politics, we've got to realize that we've got to
• 2:44
Speaker 2: confront the bad stories with stories that are compelling, and
• 2:48
Speaker 2: it's where tone matters, and I would encourage Look, the
• 2:52
Speaker 2: administration is doing a fantastic job securing the border. Illegal
• 2:56
Speaker 2: crossings have dropped ninety nine percent. It's phenomenal, doing a
• 3:00
Speaker 2: terrific job going and arresting violent criminals, murderers and rapists
• 3:05
Speaker 2: and gang bangers, which is why we've seen the murder
• 3:08
Speaker 2: rate drop twenty percent. We covered that in the last podcast,
• 3:11
Speaker 2: that the murder rate has dropped twenty percent across the country.
• 3:15
  Speaker 3: That's a massive success.
• 3:16
Speaker 2: What I think the administration could do better is the
• 3:21
Speaker 2: tone with which they're describing this. That immediately when an
• 3:25
Speaker 2: incident like this happens, they come out guns blazing, that
• 3:30
Speaker 2: we took out a violent terrorist hooray. And the problem is,
• 3:35
Speaker 2: particularly for someone not paying attention, if you're being told
• 3:38
Speaker 2: this is a mom of three and there's no indication,
• 3:41
Speaker 2: you know, she's not waving an ISIS flag or doesn't
• 3:44
Speaker 2: have a suicide vest around her, Escalating the rhetoric doesn't help,
• 3:50
Speaker 2: and it actually loses credibility. And so I would encourage
• 3:54
Speaker 2: the administration to be more measured, to recognize the tragedy
• 3:58
  Speaker 2: and to say.
• 3:59
Speaker 3: We don't want any one anyone's lives to be lost.
• 4:03
Speaker 2: And the politicians who are pouring gasoline onto this fire,
• 4:08
Speaker 2: they need to stop.
• 4:09
Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree with you there, and I also think, look,
• 4:11
Speaker 1: facts matter. Explaining what happened is very important. The five
• 4:15
Speaker 1: year old story is a perfect example. All the morning
• 4:18
Speaker 1: news shows, ABCNBCCBS, they led with that story and ran
• 4:22
Speaker 1: it into the ground that morning that a five year
• 4:24
Speaker 1: old was detained by ice and they didn't correct that story.
• 4:28
Speaker 1: Not only is Democratic Party looking for an opportunity, so
• 4:31
Speaker 1: is the media and they now believe that like this
• 4:35
Speaker 1: civil war and hold this flag up is you know
• 4:37
Speaker 1: and planet is we as Democrats were willing to shut
• 4:40
Speaker 1: down the government to defund ice. That's going to be
• 4:43
Speaker 1: the premise is what I've been told from many in
• 4:46
Speaker 1: the media that I've talked to, and some of my
• 4:48
Speaker 1: friends on the left. They're like, yeah, we're gonna shut down.
• 4:50
Speaker 1: We're justified this time, way more than we were last time.
• 4:53
Speaker 1: Last time we really weren't justified very much and shuting
• 4:55
Speaker 1: down the government, but we tried it anyway. Now they
• 4:58
Speaker 1: actually feel in bolden do you do you think a
• 5:00
Speaker 1: government shutdown is going to come? Yes or no?
• 5:02
Speaker 3: Yes, one hundred percent?
• 5:04
Speaker 1: Yes, okay, and it's going to be tied to this issue, right.
• 5:07
Speaker 3: Yes, yes, one hundred percent.
• 5:09
Speaker 2: The last government shutdown, which was the longest government shutdown
• 5:12
Speaker 2: in US history, Chuck Schumer and the Democrats forced through
• 5:16
Speaker 2: really to show his radical base that he was fighting
• 5:19
Speaker 2: because he's scared of being primary by AOC. But they
• 5:23
Speaker 2: also did it to tee up the issue of healthcare
• 5:25
Speaker 2: and the cost of health insurance premiums. Mind you, the
• 5:28
Speaker 2: premiums have skyrocketed because of Obamacare, because of their policy.
• 5:33
Speaker 2: But they did the shutdown. It was entirely with an
• 5:36
Speaker 2: eye towards November that they say, look, we fought like
• 5:39
Speaker 2: crazy on health insurance and the mean Republicans didn't give
• 5:42
Speaker 2: us what we wanted, which was fifty billion dollars in
• 5:45
Speaker 2: corporate welfare subsidies to giant health insurance companies, and that's
• 5:49
Speaker 2: why your health insurance has gone up. Now that's factually wrong,
• 5:54
Speaker 2: but it is a political narrative they're telling here. They're
• 5:59
Speaker 2: going to to tell the narrative, we will not fund
• 6:02
Speaker 2: ICE under any circumstances, and we will shut the government down.
• 6:05
Speaker 2: And by the way, the media covered for them so much.
• 6:10
Speaker 2: Their base was so happy with the shutdown. I think
• 6:13
Speaker 2: they perceive very few downsides to shutting the government down. Now,
• 6:18
Speaker 2: this shutdown that will happen on January thirtieth will will
• 6:22
Speaker 2: likely be smaller than the previous one.
• 6:24
Speaker 3: And the reason is we've funded.
• 6:26
Speaker 1: Still explain explain why, because does that mean they're being
• 6:29
Speaker 1: more strategic in how they're doing it or explain that.
• 6:31
Speaker 2: Okay, Now, between the two, we have passed some appropriations bills.
• 6:36
Speaker 2: So once appropriations bills are passed, those departments are funding,
• 6:40
Speaker 2: so AG that the Department of Agriculture is funded, and
• 6:44
Speaker 2: so everything that goes through AG is funded, CJS, Commerce,
• 6:49
Speaker 2: Justice and Science that is funded, Energy is funded, water
• 6:52
Speaker 2: is funded, Interior environment, Ledge branch, military construction in the VA.
• 6:59
Speaker 2: All of those are fund so the shutdown will not
• 7:01
Speaker 2: impact any of those. So what would a shut down impact.
• 7:05
Speaker 2: It would impact Defense, the Department of War, It would
• 7:09
Speaker 2: impact the Department of Labor, It would impact HHS, It
• 7:12
Speaker 2: would impact the Department of Education. It would impact the
• 7:16
Speaker 2: Department of Transportation and Housing in Urban Development. It would
• 7:19
Speaker 2: impact the SEC, the FCC, the independent agencies, And it
• 7:24
Speaker 2: would impact DHS, the Department of Homeland Security, and ICE
• 7:29
Speaker 2: directly under that. And I think you're going to see
• 7:33
Speaker 2: the Democrats force a shut down. And actually you don't
• 7:35
Speaker 2: have to take my words for it. Here, let me
• 7:37
Speaker 2: read for you what Schumer tweeted out to the world.
• 7:41
Speaker 2: He said, quote, what's happening in Minnesota is appalling and
• 7:45
Speaker 2: unacceptable in any American city. Democrats sought common sense reforms
• 7:51
Speaker 2: in the Department of Homeland Security spending bill, but because
• 7:54
Speaker 2: of Republican's refusal to stand up to President Trump, the
• 7:57
Speaker 2: DHS bill is woefully inadequate to rein in the abuses
• 8:01
  Speaker 2: of ICE.
• 8:02
Speaker 3: I will vote no.
• 8:04
Speaker 2: Senate Democrats will not provide the votes to proceed to
• 8:08
Speaker 2: the Appropriations bill if the DHS funding bill is included there.
• 8:13
Speaker 2: He is explicitly unequivocally threatening a shutdown.
• 8:17
Speaker 3: I think that's what we're gonna see. Come Janus.
• 8:19
Speaker 1: And by the way, he's not the only one. So
• 8:21
Speaker 1: Elizabeth Warren was responding to another tweet. I want to
• 8:24
Speaker 1: read it. It was just the tweet she was responding
• 8:26
Speaker 1: to to give it context. Says reminder, DHS legislation that
• 8:30
Speaker 1: funds ICE at current levels without policy restrictions is in
• 8:34
Speaker 1: the Senate and needs sixty votes to pass. Deadline is
• 8:36
Speaker 1: next Friday. Elizabeth Warren puts that out there with this
• 8:40
Speaker 1: and she says, quote, I'm a hell no, not a
• 8:42
Speaker 1: penny more for ICE. We should not fund this terror.
• 8:48
Speaker 1: So she's also jumping on board with this as well.
• 8:51
Speaker 1: And then there's other centers have come out and so
• 8:53
Speaker 1: this is why I say this isn't a one off.
• 8:55
Speaker 1: This is clearly a coordinated attack, is the best way
• 8:58
Speaker 1: I can describe it.
• 9:00
Speaker 3: Well, Well, here's Chris Murphy on CNN, give a listen.
• 9:03
Speaker 4: I want to ask about what you're leader. Chuck Schumber says,
• 9:07
Speaker 4: the Democrats are going to vote against a government funding
• 9:10
Speaker 4: package that is before the Senate soon and it includes
• 9:13
Speaker 4: money for the Department of Homeland Security. How is that
• 9:16
Speaker 4: going to play out?
• 9:18
Speaker 5: Well, we can't vote to fund this lawless Department of
• 9:22
  Speaker 5: Homeland Security.
• 9:23
Speaker 1: We can't fund this lawless Department of Homeland Security. Center.
• 9:26
Speaker 1: That's pretty bold words if you ask me by a
• 9:28
Speaker 1: center that clearly is like, hey, we're all on the
• 9:30
Speaker 1: same page. This is what we're doing now.
• 9:33
Speaker 2: Yeah, Look that's the position of every Democrat. And understand,
• 9:36
Speaker 2: this is the same position that is abolish ICE and
• 9:39
Speaker 2: abolish the police. They're saying they're going to refuse to
• 9:43
Speaker 2: fund the Department of Homeland Security, the department that is
• 9:47
Speaker 2: charged with keeping us safe, with securing our border, with
• 9:51
Speaker 2: protecting our families, and the Democrats are saying we won't
• 9:55
  Speaker 2: fund it.
• 9:55
Speaker 3: So what will happen.
• 9:57
Speaker 2: I think there's a chance we see Congress put together
• 10:00
Speaker 2: an appropriations package that funds everything but DHS that that
• 10:05
Speaker 2: might be that might pass.
• 10:08
Speaker 3: In terms of DHS.
• 10:10
Speaker 2: I think the Democrats are going to force a shutdown,
• 10:13
Speaker 2: and I think they want it to be extended and
• 10:15
  Speaker 2: in order.
• 10:16
Speaker 1: This is not a short one. To be clear, you
• 10:18
Speaker 1: think they want this to be painful, almost like they're
• 10:21
Speaker 1: running in the midterms on this issue of ICE.
• 10:24
Speaker 2: I think they want to be able to tell their base,
• 10:27
Speaker 2: we are defunding ICE, we are abolishing ICE, we are
• 10:31
Speaker 2: against law enforcement, we'rew the criminals. That's that's their messaging.
• 10:35
Speaker 1: Now, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation,
• 10:38
Speaker 1: you can go back and listen to the full podcast
• 10:41
Speaker 1: from earlier this week.
• 10:43
Speaker 3: Now onto story number two.
• 10:45
Speaker 1: All right, center, I want to get back to these
• 10:47
Speaker 1: Trump accounts, and let's talk about the nitty gritty of this.
• 10:50
Speaker 1: When you look at the dollars and the growing of wealth,
• 10:56
Speaker 1: and how this could fundamentally change a country where every
• 11:00
Speaker 1: child that is in poverty could get out of poverty
• 11:03
Speaker 1: just by having these accounts and talk about where they
• 11:06
Speaker 1: could start a small business or be able to pay
• 11:08
Speaker 1: for college or different things like that. It is truly
• 11:11
Speaker 1: empowering for an entire generation. What we are now starting
• 11:15
Speaker 1: with these Trumps accounts. I actually think it's going to
• 11:17
Speaker 1: be one of the biggest parts of your legacy ever.
• 11:19
Speaker 2: Yeah, look, I think the Trump accounts will be truly transformation.
• 11:23
Speaker 2: And I will say it's interesting. I think President Trump,
• 11:26
Speaker 2: initially when we laid out the idea to him, he
• 11:29
Speaker 2: liked it. But I think as he's as he's seen
• 11:32
Speaker 2: more and more what these are going to do. I
• 11:33
Speaker 2: think he's really appreciating that these are going to be
• 11:36
Speaker 2: a huge part of his legacy when when all of
• 11:39
Speaker 2: us are dead and buried, people are still going to
• 11:41
Speaker 2: the impact of the Trump accounts is going to echo forward.
• 11:45
Speaker 2: And the two massive benefits are Number one, every kid
• 11:49
Speaker 2: in America is going to get the benefit of compound growth.
• 11:53
Speaker 2: You know, half of the people in America don't own
• 11:55
Speaker 2: a single stock and don't own a single bond. And
• 11:58
Speaker 2: the impact, well, here to listen to Fox News talking
• 12:01
Speaker 2: about just how much wealth kids can accumulate through these
• 12:07
  Speaker 2: Trump accounts.
• 12:08
Speaker 5: You kind of touched on this by age eighteen, right,
• 12:13
Speaker 5: you could have three hundred and three thousand dollars by
• 12:17
Speaker 5: age twenty eight. It's more than a million if you
• 12:19
Speaker 5: do the maximum contributions. If you give no contributions, you're
• 12:23
Speaker 5: still shy of six thousand dollars or its ain't nothing,
• 12:26
Speaker 5: and then eighteen thousand dollars by age twenty eight. You know,
• 12:29
Speaker 5: President Bush forty three pushed this idea about twenty five years.
• 12:34
Speaker 1: I mean, you look at just the political willpower of
• 12:37
Speaker 1: getting something like this done. It shouldn't take this much,
• 12:40
Speaker 1: but this was a major fight center that you had
• 12:43
Speaker 1: to go to warwid to get it to happen. And
• 12:45
  Speaker 1: I don't understand why.
• 12:48
Speaker 2: Look, in the tax cut, you were competing with everything else.
• 12:51
Speaker 2: Everyone else had a priority, and so it was dividing
• 12:55
Speaker 2: the pie. And it was also look, this was something new,
• 12:58
Speaker 2: it was major. Getting it through through the Senate Parliamentarian
• 13:01
Speaker 2: was a real challenge, and we fought hard and got
• 13:03
Speaker 2: it through. And you know, you look at that math.
• 13:08
Speaker 2: You know you're not talking about just the kids of
• 13:10
Speaker 2: rich people. You're talking about the kids of a single
• 13:14
Speaker 2: mom who's waiting tables and the math of that.
• 13:17
Speaker 3: So a little girl born this year, she.
• 13:21
Speaker 2: Gets the thousand dollars automatically put in the account, and
• 13:24
Speaker 2: that can accumulate and grow. But where the real math
• 13:28
Speaker 2: is is if their contributions of five thousand a year.
• 13:31
Speaker 2: Now those can come from a parent, those can come
• 13:33
Speaker 2: from a family member, or those can come from an employer.
• 13:36
Speaker 2: And there are two big accelerants that we wrote into
• 13:41
Speaker 2: the bill. Number one is the employer piece of it
• 13:44
Speaker 2: that the employers think about. To give you a sense
• 13:47
Speaker 2: of the scope and magnitude, think back to when Congress
• 13:52
Speaker 2: passed section four oh one K of Arissa. That was
• 13:55
Speaker 2: decades ago, and I suspect nobody in Congress knew just
• 14:00
Speaker 2: how fundamentally they were going to change how Americans save
• 14:03
Speaker 2: for retirement. There are right now more than twelve trillion
• 14:09
Speaker 2: dollars in four oh one K accounts. It's massive, and
• 14:14
Speaker 2: there will be in just a couple of years trillions
• 14:17
Speaker 2: of dollars in Trump accounts as well.
• 14:19
Speaker 3: The volume of it is massive.
• 14:21
Speaker 2: And one of the things that's a real accelerant is,
• 14:24
Speaker 2: you know, most big employers match four A one K contributions.
• 14:29
Speaker 2: If you're an employee, they'll sometimes employers will contribute directly
• 14:32
Speaker 2: to four O one k's. Other times they'll match if
• 14:34
Speaker 2: you make a contribution. I think we are going to
• 14:37
Speaker 2: see the same thing with Trump accounts, that this is
• 14:39
Speaker 2: going to become a standard, a ubiquitous employee benefit that
• 14:44
Speaker 2: employers will say, we're going to match your contributions or
• 14:48
Speaker 2: contribute directly to the Trump accounts that your kids have.
• 14:52
Speaker 2: A bunch of big employers have already announced they're doing that. Actually,
• 14:55
Speaker 2: Visa had a very clever thing they announced. They said
• 14:58
Speaker 2: you can use your ward points, you can convert them
• 15:01
Speaker 2: into money and deposit them in your kids trump accounts.
• 15:05
Speaker 2: That's an accelerant to help more dollars get in. And
• 15:09
Speaker 2: one of the things about compound growth that you know
• 15:12
Speaker 2: is the earlier you invest, the bigger it grows. And
• 15:17
Speaker 2: that's one of the things that's really powerful is starting.
• 15:20
Speaker 2: You know, if someone starts saving at age forty or
• 15:23
Speaker 2: fifty or sixty, so far behind, Yeah, they don't have
• 15:27
Speaker 2: a long enough time horizon for it to really grow
• 15:30
Speaker 2: into big, big numbers. If you start at age zero,
• 15:34
Speaker 2: that gives a long time for that growth to compound.
• 15:37
Speaker 3: That's really powerful. The second accelerate.
• 15:40
Speaker 1: Go back to the number that you mentioned that Fox
• 15:42
Speaker 1: had there. If you do the maximum contribution, you have
• 15:45
Speaker 1: a child five grand a year, all right, like five
• 15:48
Speaker 1: grand a year. You think about that over I mean
• 15:51
Speaker 1: over twelve years at sixty thousand dollars that you put in.
• 15:55
Speaker 1: But if you keep going, and I'm putting that perspective
• 15:57
Speaker 1: to realize, like, this is not a crazy amount of money.
• 16:00
Speaker 1: If you're disciplined, you're talking about a million, ninety one,
• 16:03
Speaker 1: nine hundred dollars by age twenty eight. That is unbelievable.
• 16:09
Speaker 2: Yeah, And look, look, five thousand a year is about
• 16:11
Speaker 2: one hundred bucks a week. And so that can come
• 16:14
Speaker 2: from a parent, come from another family member. But the
• 16:16
Speaker 2: other accelerant that's really powerful is we wrote this so
• 16:20
Speaker 2: that it could accept charitable gifts. So, as you know
• 16:23
Speaker 2: Michael and Susan Dell are giving six and a quarter
• 16:27
Speaker 2: billion dollars, they're giving two hundred and fifty dollars to
• 16:30
Speaker 2: every child under ten who lives in a zip code
• 16:34
Speaker 2: where the median income is one hundred and fifty thousand
• 16:36
Speaker 2: and less or less. That is a massive contribution. Brad Gershner,
• 16:41
Speaker 2: who came up with the idea for the Trump accounts
• 16:43
Speaker 2: and who was my partner in getting this done, and
• 16:46
Speaker 2: we worked hand in hand. Brad has announced he's doing
• 16:49
Speaker 2: the same thing for the state of Indiana, two hundred
• 16:52
Speaker 2: and fifty bucks for every kid under five, but it's
• 16:54
Speaker 2: going to be about two hundred and fifty million dollars
• 16:56
Speaker 2: that he's giving, and same thing targeted for kids in
• 17:01
Speaker 2: zip codes with the media income as one hundred and
• 17:03
Speaker 2: fifty thousand or less. I think you're going to see
• 17:05
Speaker 2: lots of people doing charitable contributions. That is really really powerful,
• 17:11
Speaker 2: and it's something President Trump is encouraging. It's something I'm
• 17:14
Speaker 2: encouraging every employer to do this. I'm encouraging philanthropists. And
• 17:19
Speaker 2: by the way, Michael Dell has said he's not done
• 17:21
Speaker 2: at six and a quarter billion. He's talked about giving
• 17:23
Speaker 2: a lot more money than that. One of the cool
• 17:26
Speaker 2: things about this is it's infinitely scalable. So Michael Dell
• 17:30
Speaker 2: has more than one hundred million dollars. If you're thinking
• 17:34
Speaker 2: about where to give your money away in philanthropy, there
• 17:36
Speaker 2: are not a lot of charities that can take.
• 17:37
  Speaker 3: Amounts that big.
• 17:39
Speaker 2: This is infinitely scalable, and so it has a potential
• 17:43
Speaker 2: really to accelerate the wealth creation for kids.
• 17:48
Speaker 1: As before, if you want to hear the rest of
• 17:50
Speaker 1: this conversation on this topic, you can go back and
• 17:53
Speaker 1: dow the podcast from earlier this week to hear the
• 17:56
Speaker 1: entire thing. I want to get back to the big
• 17:59
Speaker 1: story number three of the week. You may have missed,
• 18:02
Speaker 1: all right, Senata, I want to get into this other story,
• 18:04
Speaker 1: that is the media and the bias in the media
• 18:07
Speaker 1: and the narrative they've been pushing in Minnesota, specifically with
• 18:13
Speaker 1: this ICU nurse. They turn him into a do gooder.
• 18:17
Speaker 1: We then get a video that comes out showing him
• 18:19
Speaker 1: attacking ICE agents days before the the fatal confrontation with Ice,
• 18:25
Speaker 1: and that part seems to be just disappearing from the
• 18:28
  Speaker 1: media's coverage.
• 18:30
Speaker 2: Well, yeah, look, we have seen with with with the
• 18:33
Speaker 2: protests and the riots that are that are unfolding in Minneapolis,
• 18:36
Speaker 2: we have seen the corporate media just turn into shameless
• 18:39
Speaker 2: propagandist and and they have a narrative, and that narrative
• 18:43
Speaker 2: is disconnected from facts and reality, and they're trying to
• 18:47
  Speaker 2: mislead people.
• 18:47
Speaker 3: And and so we've seen that.
• 18:49
Speaker 2: We've seen that with the headlines everywhere saying Ice arrested
• 18:52
Speaker 2: a five year old boy, and and you know people
• 18:55
Speaker 2: read that orre like, Okay, that's crazy, why are you
• 18:56
Speaker 2: arresting a five year old?
• 18:57
Speaker 3: Well it turns out they didn't. It's false. It was
• 19:00
  Speaker 3: a lie.
• 19:01
Speaker 2: What actually happened is they were they were there arresting
• 19:04
Speaker 2: his father, who was an illegal immigrant, and the father
• 19:07
Speaker 2: ran away and abandoned the five year old, and so
• 19:08
Speaker 2: the five year old is left old alone in the
• 19:11
Speaker 2: cold on the streets of Minneapolis. Of course, Ice didn't
• 19:14
Speaker 2: just leave the kid there to wander outside. That they
• 19:17
Speaker 2: had to take care of him, and in fact, they
• 19:19
Speaker 2: tried to return him to his mother. His mother said no,
• 19:21
Speaker 2: wouln't let him in the house. And so so that
• 19:24
Speaker 2: that's an example. Look, another example, the man who was
• 19:29
Speaker 2: shot in Minneapolis, mister Pretty, you're right. The media portrayed
• 19:35
Speaker 2: him as this, this peaceful protester, this this ICU nurse,
• 19:38
Speaker 2: and and just you saw democrats saying that that Ice
• 19:43
Speaker 2: are cold blooded murderers. And that's a flat out lie,
• 19:46
Speaker 2: and it's a slander, and it is.
• 19:48
Speaker 1: Something you couldn't have One of your colleagues put up
• 19:50
Speaker 1: a AI picture on the floor of the Senate. For
• 19:54
Speaker 1: goodness sakes, that was not a real picture.
• 19:57
Speaker 2: Look, it is designed to be if you lived in dishonest.
• 20:01
Speaker 2: And then a couple of days after the shooting, we
• 20:04
Speaker 2: had a video that the BBC put out that they
• 20:06
Speaker 2: had gotten mister pretty a couple of weeks earlier. And
• 20:10
Speaker 2: let's look at the video. For those who are watching
• 20:12
Speaker 2: this online, let's look at the video real quickly.
• 20:15
Speaker 1: Yeah, and by the way, for those listening right now
• 20:17
Speaker 1: on the radio, we'll put this up on social media.
• 20:20
Speaker 1: But this shows the man spitting in the face of
• 20:22
Speaker 1: ICE agents, kicking the tail out out of their car
• 20:26
Speaker 1: in a full on confrontation. Take a listen and watch
• 20:28
Speaker 1: if you're watching online.
• 20:30
Speaker 6: This is a moment the News Movement filmed on January
• 20:33
Speaker 6: thirteenth in Minneapolis, showing a man who appears to be
• 20:36
Speaker 6: Alex Pretty interacting with federal immigration agents eleven days before
• 20:40
Speaker 6: border patrol shot and killed him. Our footage was analyzed
• 20:45
Speaker 6: by the BBC, whose facial recognition technology confirmed his identity
• 20:49
Speaker 6: to a ninety seven percent degree of accuracy.
• 20:52
Speaker 1: Now the video goes longer than that, and you can
• 20:54
Speaker 1: watch it online. But I think the point that so
• 20:57
Speaker 1: many people to understand is they were talking about the
• 20:59
Speaker 1: accuracy of this video, and hey, it's almost almost positive. Tim, Well,
• 21:03
Speaker 1: the family is now confirmed that this is actually him
• 21:07
Speaker 1: doing this, kicking out the taillight, screaming f you at
• 21:10
Speaker 1: the ICE agents, spitting at the ICE agents, like this
• 21:13
Speaker 1: is a man that wanted a confrontation with law enforcement.
• 21:16
Speaker 1: He was there for that reason that day and in
• 21:18
Speaker 1: the day that unfortunately cost him his life.
• 21:21
Speaker 2: Well, that's right, and this was not peaceful protest. In
• 21:26
Speaker 2: the video, as you said, he was spitting at ICE agents,
• 21:30
Speaker 2: but he also is repeatedly kicking the tail and he
• 21:33
Speaker 2: kicks the tailblight out of an suv. I mean, it's
• 21:35
Speaker 2: a hard kick that he like knocks it out, and
• 21:38
Speaker 2: and that was clearly a violent assault. By the way,
• 21:41
Speaker 2: he has his gun strapped on his waistban while he
• 21:44
Speaker 2: is attacking law enforcement officers, and the media wanted to
• 21:48
Speaker 2: convey it as just you know, he's this peaceful soul. Listen,
• 21:51
Speaker 2: if you engage in acts of violence directed at law enforcement,
• 21:57
Speaker 2: there is a very real risk that the response to
• 21:59
Speaker 2: an act of violence will be the use of force,
• 22:01
Speaker 2: and and in some instances can be the use of
• 22:04
Speaker 2: deadly force. At any time an American has killed in
• 22:07
Speaker 2: an interaction with law enforcement, it is tragic, yes, But
• 22:11
Speaker 2: but the media was being deliberately deceptive, uh in in
• 22:16
Speaker 2: falsely portraying him as this this peaceful protester, almost like
• 22:20
Speaker 2: a non holding a candle by the side of the road.
• 22:23
Speaker 2: And and that's not He was clearly uncaptured on video
• 22:28
Speaker 2: engaged in in in violent attacks on law enforcement. And
• 22:32
Speaker 2: and then in terms of propaganda, I got to say,
• 22:34
Speaker 2: MSNBC went even further, and rather than me tell you
• 22:38
Speaker 2: what happened, listen to Joe Rogan, because Joe Rogan comments
• 22:41
Speaker 2: on just how shameful, shamelessly MSNBC was was acting as
• 22:47
  Speaker 2: a political propaganda.
• 22:48
Speaker 1: Yeah, it was wanting you to root for this nurse,
• 22:51
Speaker 1: Like wanted to change who he was so that everyone
• 22:54
Speaker 1: would root for him. Here it is Joe Rogan and
• 22:55
Speaker 1: and Joe Rogan also talking about his own experience. Uh,
• 22:58
Speaker 1: when when he was attacked by the media and they
• 23:02
Speaker 1: changed the color of his skin during COVID.
• 23:04
Speaker 7: Did you see what they have MSNBC did to his image.
• 23:07
Speaker 3: Yeah, they where they were.
• 23:08
Speaker 7: They did the opposite of what CNN did to me.
• 23:11
Speaker 7: You know, CNN during the COVID times turned me green,
• 23:14
Speaker 7: and they made me ugly and look like I was dying.
• 23:17
Speaker 7: And they made him handsome so people would be more
• 23:19
Speaker 7: sympathetic to him getting shot, Which is kind of wild, Like,
• 23:23
Speaker 7: are ugly people less valuable to MSNBC? Less market? That
• 23:28
Speaker 7: is crazy to me, Like, look at the difference, Look
• 23:32
Speaker 7: at the difference. They shortened up his face, they gave
• 23:35
Speaker 7: him a little bit of a tan, they widened his
• 23:37
Speaker 7: face a little bit. It seems like they just made
• 23:40
Speaker 7: him a little handsomer.
• 23:42
Speaker 3: Yeah, a little hot.
• 23:42
Speaker 7: They gave him, gave him a bit of that chad jaw,
• 23:44
Speaker 7: didn't they They shrunk his nose a little too, didn't
• 23:46
Speaker 7: they they did. They shrunk his nose, gave him a
• 23:49
Speaker 7: little bit of a handsome jaw so he looks like and.
• 23:53
Speaker 6: Made him if he look at the shoulders, it even
• 23:54
Speaker 6: looks like they may have plumped up the shoulders.
• 23:57
Speaker 7: There a bit, a little bit. Yeah, the one on
• 23:58
Speaker 7: the right looks like looks like he's a little plumper. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 24:03
Speaker 7: They changed the tone of the color wild. I mean
• 24:08
Speaker 7: they changed his teeth man Communist News. Nope, they gave
• 24:11
Speaker 7: him veniers. You know, look, get the difference in his teeth.
• 24:14
Speaker 7: He's a much more handsome guy. Like that one on
• 24:17
Speaker 7: the right is like the handsome brother.
• 24:20
Speaker 1: I mean, Senat you want to talk about just straight
• 24:21
Speaker 1: up propaganda. This dude. They literally made him jacked. They
• 24:25
Speaker 1: gave him muscles, They changed the color of his scrubs
• 24:28
Speaker 1: from the picture, they gave him veneers. They even made
• 24:30
Speaker 1: his beard look a little bit darker and more full,
• 24:33
Speaker 1: changed his nose, Like it was like you went to
• 24:36
Speaker 1: AI and you said, hey, make this guy the most
• 24:39
Speaker 1: attractive you can, and then we're gonna put that up
• 24:41
Speaker 1: on the on TV so that somehow people be rooting
• 24:44
Speaker 1: for him a little bit more. It's it's truly amazing
• 24:47
Speaker 1: that MSNBC did this, and they haven't actually technically apologized
• 24:51
Speaker 1: for it yet. They've put a statement out there, but
• 24:53
  Speaker 1: that's about it.
• 24:54
Speaker 2: Yeah, understand, there is zero dispute that MSNBC did this.
• 24:57
Speaker 2: In fact, MSNBC put out a statement they said editor's note,
• 25:02
Speaker 2: ms now swapped out the original thumbnail thumbnail image for
• 25:06
Speaker 2: this video. The previous thumbnail image was an AI enhanced
• 25:10
Speaker 2: image of Alex Predding, so they've acknowledged they used AI
• 25:14
Speaker 2: to significantly change his appearance and to make him markedly
• 25:18
Speaker 2: better looking and look I looked online. As far as
• 25:22
Speaker 2: I can tell, MSNBC has not apologized. Nobody has been fired.
• 25:26
Speaker 2: If they are in fact a news organization, they pretend
• 25:29
  Speaker 2: they are.
• 25:29
  Speaker 1: Fire somebody immediately.
• 25:31
Speaker 2: Their job is to report the news and report facts.
• 25:33
Speaker 2: Not only were they not reporting facts, they were lying
• 25:36
Speaker 2: to their viewers. They were creating a fabricated and false
• 25:40
Speaker 2: image to change the facts to fit their political narrative.
• 25:45
Speaker 2: And any journalistic outfit with any integrity would fire whoever
• 25:50
Speaker 2: was responsible would go on air and apologize and say
• 25:54
Speaker 2: we violated our integrity. The fact that MSNBC doesn't think
• 25:58
Speaker 2: they need to shows just how much the corporate media.
• 26:02
Speaker 2: They are political liars. They are not even attempting or
• 26:06
Speaker 2: pretending to be journalists.
• 26:07
Speaker 1: As always, thank you for listening to Verdict with Sentater,
