- 0:00SPEAKER_03: So this is something.
- 0:00SPEAKER_03: I want you to listen to this.
- 0:02SPEAKER_03: Do you ever see uh this almost sounds like I'm gonna start telling a joke?
- 0:06SPEAKER_03: You ever see a turtle crossing the road?
- 0:08SPEAKER_04: No, I haven't.
- 0:10SPEAKER_04: So there was a chicken over by Duncan.
- 0:13SPEAKER_03: Actually, this is where where were you?
- 0:16SPEAKER_03: Did you see that picture?
- 0:17SPEAKER_03: I I no, I remember you telling me the story and they weren't sure.
- 0:20SPEAKER_03: This is the Duncan right up the road here from us.
- 0:22SPEAKER_03: And we weren't sure if it came from one of the houses across the street.
- 0:24SPEAKER_03: It did.
- 0:26SPEAKER_03: It was a neighbor.
- 0:26SPEAKER_03: I thought it was people behind them because it was sort of foliage behind the drive-thru.
- 0:30SPEAKER_04: Um I thought it was across because the the chicken literally crossed the road.
- 0:34SPEAKER_03: Oh, okay, then that's what it was.
- 0:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but um there it is.
- 0:38SPEAKER_03: Um but anyway, this woman recently uh got a ticket for saving a turtle.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: So I pull over, I put my hazard lights on, my daughters get out, they grab the turtle and they hurry up and put it on the side of the road.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: I go to drive, and literally, where I showed y'all, that's where the police officer was sitting, he turned around and pulled me over.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: I'm thinking, oh, he's gonna like congratulate us, say, oh, you know, thanks for getting the turtle, something along those lines.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: But no, that's not what I got.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: License and what's the year of your Jeep?
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: So I had asked him, I'm like, what am I being pulled over for?
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: I I just need your license, and and that's all I need in the year of your Jeep.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: And then he came back up, gave me the ticket.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: Um, he was saying I was impeding traffic, although there was no traffic coming from either way.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: He was sitting there watching.
- 1:29SPEAKER_04: Then why didn't he get out and help as far as, hey, let me throw on the lights so we can get this turtle on the side of the road.
- 1:38SPEAKER_03: Sounds to me like he was having a bad day.
- 1:39SPEAKER_03: Sounds like to me like she explains that to the judge, she might be alright.
- 1:43SPEAKER_04: Sounds to me like he's trying to fill some quota or something.
- 1:46SPEAKER_03: I mean, there is a little there are some questions.
- 1:48SPEAKER_04: If there's no traffic and you see somebody in the road, you're just setting them up for a ticket?
- 1:54SPEAKER_04: No.
- 1:54SPEAKER_04: Go over and be like, ma'am, um, do you know here's a here's a way you can do it?
- 1:59SPEAKER_03: She saw the kids, he saw the kids doing it too.
- 2:01SPEAKER_03: Like they this was not, you know, you weren't doing a Chinese fire drill.
- 2:05SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 2:06SPEAKER_03: Which we can't call it that anymore, but you know.
- 2:08SPEAKER_04: Also, why why didn't he say, especially when you see kids, let me help you in this situation?
- 2:14SPEAKER_03: I don't have that answer.
- 2:16SPEAKER_04: I hate when somebody's trying to they're trying to catch me in something that I don't know I'm doing wrong.
- 2:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 2:20SPEAKER_03: Maybe he was just parked in a spot where he was like, well, nobody's coming and speeding, so I gotta give somebody something.
- 2:25SPEAKER_04: That just pisses me up.
- 2:26SPEAKER_03: Supervisor's gonna just not give me any uh props for today.
- 2:29SPEAKER_03: Then I'm gonna come over here.
- 2:31SPEAKER_03: We are very lucky right now.
- 2:32SPEAKER_03: We are having a gorgeous stretch.
- 2:35SPEAKER_03: Not real humid, not real hot.
- 2:37SPEAKER_04: I mean, we should say it was chilly actually at the fireworks.
- 2:39SPEAKER_03: We went through the heat.
- 2:40SPEAKER_03: Yeah, the the evenings have been cool.
- 2:42SPEAKER_03: This is not gonna last.
- 2:43SPEAKER_03: You know we're getting warm again.
- 2:44SPEAKER_03: That's coming.
- 2:45SPEAKER_03: We went through the heat dome.
- 2:46SPEAKER_03: It's in everybody's memory how staggeringly hot that was.
- 2:50SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 2:50SPEAKER_03: Well, right now, there are parts of the country that are still going through that.
- 2:53SPEAKER_03: It just hasn't made its way back here yet, like this poor woman right here.
- 2:57SPEAKER_02: Hey, how are you?
- 2:58SPEAKER_02: Sweaty! Sweaty! Any point that you ask me how I'm doing, what I'm doing, where I'm doing it, I'm sweaty.
- 3:04SPEAKER_02: I'm sweaty, I'm sweaty, I'm sweaty.
- 3:06SPEAKER_02: I'm so tired of being sweaty.
- 3:07SPEAKER_02: I'm post-part I'm in a sweaty! I got swoops, swass, swarm pit, sweat, I'm sweaty!
- 3:17SPEAKER_03: How are you doing?
- 3:18SPEAKER_03: That's all.
- 3:19SPEAKER_04: Did she say swoops?
- 3:20SPEAKER_04: Yeah, sweaty.
- 3:22SPEAKER_04: Swoobs.
- 3:22SPEAKER_04: I am totally stealing that.
- 3:24SPEAKER_04: You're stealing swoops?
- 3:25SPEAKER_04: Swoobs and swass.
- 3:26SPEAKER_03: So when you get a real hot day and uh and you know things are not going right under the shirt, it's a swoop.
- 3:32SPEAKER_04: Swoops, swoops, or under the undercarriage, the swass.
- 3:38SPEAKER_04: The swass.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: It's summertime and there's a little problem you should know.
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: There's reeky, stinky, sweaty people, all with bad BO.
- 3:47SPEAKER_01: So please respect your neighbor when the Thames are rising quick.
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: And do not leave your home without a spare deodorant stick.
- 3:56SPEAKER_03: There you go.
- 3:57SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but it always melts in your car.
- 3:58SPEAKER_04: Do you notice this?
- 3:59SPEAKER_03: No, I don't carry deodorant with me.
- 4:01SPEAKER_03: I always apply.
- 4:02SPEAKER_04: I used to, of course I apply, but I used to always carry it in my gym bag, and I don't do that anymore because in this weather, nothing's surviving.
- 4:08SPEAKER_03: It's a bunch of bowl of cream at this point instead of deodorant.
- 4:12SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you you go to open it, it falls on the ground.
- 4:17SPEAKER_03: You do.
- 4:17SPEAKER_04: You go to open it, it falls on the ground, you're like, uh, okay, I guess we'll do this.
- 4:23SPEAKER_04: Then you say a prayer.
