- 0:07Speaker 1: This podcast. Welcome to Meat Eater Trivia, the only game
- 0:12Speaker 1: show where conservation always wins. I'm your host, Spencer new Heart,
- 0:16Speaker 1: and today we're joined by Janice Patelis, Brodie Henderson, Corey Caulkins,
- 0:20Speaker 1: Maggie hud Though, Sam James Tress A Croaker, chest Your Floyd,
- 0:24Speaker 1: and Christine SWICKI. Now, Christine, this is your first time
- 0:28Speaker 1: on the podcast. So tell folks what you do here
- 0:31Speaker 1: at meat Eater. Yeah. I'm in human resources here at
- 0:34Speaker 1: meat Eater. Uh, basically what you can imagine human resources done.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Does so everything from on board into engagement to even
- 0:42Speaker 1: a little bit of philanthropy insurance. I'll spare the details there,
- 0:45Speaker 1: but yeah, I really enjoy it and I'm excited to
- 0:47Speaker 1: be here. Tell everybody what the Meat Eater benefits packages are.
- 0:51Speaker 1: That's what super generous. Our employers are very happy. What's
- 0:55Speaker 1: the work I do? Does? Everybody just ask you if
- 0:58Speaker 1: it's like, uh, like Toby on the office? Is that
- 1:01Speaker 1: like the association that folks make with hr? Uh? Yeah,
- 1:05Speaker 1: I mean I'm kind of like a cooler Toby. But um,
- 1:08Speaker 1: we like we like Christine much better than uh than Toby.
- 1:13Speaker 1: I appreciate she's also got a blog. Did you know that? No?
- 1:17Speaker 1: I did not. What's that? Uh, It's a blog called
- 1:20Speaker 1: Feral Weekends. It's just kind of like my personal experiences
- 1:23Speaker 1: in the outdoors, haunting fishing. I like it. What would
- 1:26Speaker 1: be an example of something you'd read there? I actually
- 1:29Speaker 1: just wrote about the first time I harvested a mule
- 1:32Speaker 1: deer two weeks ago and just what that felt like.
- 1:34Speaker 1: That was in Montana, Montana, way cool. Congratulations, thank you
- 1:38Speaker 1: very much. And Chester you are our newest parents in
- 1:41Speaker 1: the room. Congrats on baby Oscar. Thank you. How is
- 1:45Speaker 1: fatherhood so far? Pretty good? I can't see it with
- 1:47Speaker 1: all the mics and people I'm talking. No, it's it's wonderful.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Speaking of Christine helping out, Like yesterday I was filling
- 1:55Speaker 1: out all the correct insurance stuff for for Oscar in
- 1:59Speaker 1: the family, and I like, I messaged her like fifteen times.
- 2:03Speaker 1: I just like feel real bad, you know, but she
- 2:06Speaker 1: she helped me out and he's taken care of. But yeah, Danielle,
- 2:11Speaker 1: my wife and I just had our firstborn son. It's
- 2:15Speaker 1: been absolutely wonderful. Um and then we haven't been getting
- 2:20Speaker 1: any sleep, but he came early. UM, so there was
- 2:24Speaker 1: a little scare there but the little nuggets doing good
- 2:28Speaker 1: and we're kind of just nesting at home. Um, so
- 2:31Speaker 1: I figured I'd come in and hang out with you
- 2:33Speaker 1: guys again. Um what does that mean? Nesting at home? Oh,
- 2:37Speaker 1: that means like every three hours we get the little
- 2:41Speaker 1: guy up and feed him since the day was born.
- 2:44Speaker 1: When she was born October um, which is like a
- 2:48Speaker 1: process for when they're that small. It takes you know,
- 2:51Speaker 1: like minutes to feed him, then you put them down,
- 2:54Speaker 1: and then you do it again. Um. But I've been
- 2:58Speaker 1: able to get some house projects done to heat her
- 3:00Speaker 1: in my garage. I got out bow hunting one day,
- 3:03Speaker 1: successfully successfully slice the heck out of my thumb with broadhead. Um. Yeah,
- 3:10Speaker 1: stitches and all, stitches and all. But yeah, well it
- 3:14Speaker 1: sounds like nesting at home. A day of bow hunting
- 3:17Speaker 1: chester a good job. Well yeah, but I mean I
- 3:21Speaker 1: don't get a lot of opportunity to bow hunt anymore.
- 3:23Speaker 1: So when Danielle says you should go, I go. And
- 3:27Speaker 1: it was the only day I got. But yeah, spending
- 3:29Speaker 1: spending most of the time at home, playing a little music,
- 3:32Speaker 1: hanging out with a kid, and yeah, it's it's really nice. Actually,
- 3:36Speaker 1: busy man, nisc have any nicknames. Well, Steve wants his
- 3:41Speaker 1: real name to be Chester, not Oscar. We found that out.
- 3:44Speaker 1: He tells me. Every time I see him. He says, Chester,
- 3:48Speaker 1: I think you made a big mistake here, but I
- 3:52Speaker 1: don't care. I like Oscar. It's a family name. Middle
- 3:57Speaker 1: name is Gregory, so we call him Floyd. That's real.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Good Yanni, Brody, Corey, Phil. Do you guys miss the
- 4:05Speaker 1: nesting days or is that like we're glad we're not
- 4:08Speaker 1: there anymore. I'll just I'll jump in before them really quick,
- 4:11Speaker 1: because I was I was talking to Chester yesterday and
- 4:13Speaker 1: he was I was asking about Oscar and the baby,
- 4:16Speaker 1: and he goes, I'm not getting a lot of sleep.
- 4:17Speaker 1: And I was like, oh man, it's it's terrible, and
- 4:20Speaker 1: he kindly looks at me. He goes, I'm actually kind
- 4:22Speaker 1: of enjoying it. And I was like, oh, well, I
- 4:24Speaker 1: mean it's like, yeah, it's worth it. But but I mean,
- 4:27Speaker 1: my experience was a little bit different because m my,
- 4:30Speaker 1: my wife was in school full time. She went back
- 4:31Speaker 1: to school after like six days after having a kid.
- 4:34Speaker 1: I didn't get any paternity leave. We were like on
- 4:37Speaker 1: the opposite shifts getting no sleep. Honestly, it was terrible
- 4:41Speaker 1: movie theater days. That was my target. Those are my
- 4:44Speaker 1: target days, and they don't They're not real forgiving when
- 4:47Speaker 1: it comes to paternity leave, I imagine not at that time.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Maybe it's gotten better. But targets a great pace to
- 4:51Speaker 1: work when you're getting no sleep, because you can just
- 4:53Speaker 1: kind of wander around and look like you're doing something,
- 4:55Speaker 1: but you're actually kind of taking like a power nap. Yeah, man,
- 4:58Speaker 1: I feel lucky. I got all kinds of le market
- 5:01Speaker 1: were good. I did the whole I think you you made.
- 5:04Speaker 1: You did a bunch of daddy day care too, like
- 5:07Speaker 1: I did months of that. You did for at least
- 5:09Speaker 1: one of them, right, almost a year I was home
- 5:12Speaker 1: with one of the same. Here back to the game
- 5:14Speaker 1: of Trivia and now dots again chest Here Now, if
- 5:17Speaker 1: you're not familiar, this is a ten round quiz show
- 5:20Speaker 1: with questions from meat eaters four verticals which are hunting, fishing, conservation,
- 5:24Speaker 1: and cooking, and there's a prize. Media will donate five
- 5:27Speaker 1: dollars to the conservation organization of the winners choosing, and
- 5:31Speaker 1: each week here on Trivia we reveal a new stant.
- 5:34Speaker 1: This week we're looking at wins tracked against appearances on
- 5:38Speaker 1: the show, Brody is our leader. He has won forty
- 5:42Speaker 1: three percent of the games that he's played in. That's
- 5:45Speaker 1: followed by Clay At, Steve AT, and Janice at. No
- 5:51Speaker 1: other player is in double digits. Can you text that
- 5:54Speaker 1: to Steve right now? We can do that. We can
- 5:56Speaker 1: do that. You You've got him by four percentage points.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Yanni's that seamur right to you? Okay with that? Yeah? Yeah,
- 6:04Speaker 1: It's tough pill to swallow, but I'm okay with it. Now.
- 6:07Speaker 1: We have some housekeeping to get to. On episode three
- 6:09Speaker 1: forty five of Me Eater Trivia, I asked how many
- 6:12Speaker 1: wildcats are native to North America. I said the correct
- 6:16Speaker 1: answer was six, which I got from National Geographic, but
- 6:19Speaker 1: about twenty listeners wrote in to let me know that
- 6:21Speaker 1: it's actually seven, and I was missing the market cat.
- 6:25Speaker 1: I made that correction on episode three fifty nine. Well,
- 6:28Speaker 1: now I need to issue a correction to that correction
- 6:31Speaker 1: because another listener wrote in to say that I was
- 6:33Speaker 1: also missing the onsla, which is known as the northern
- 6:37Speaker 1: tiger cat. The northern tiger cat only ways about five pounds,
- 6:41Speaker 1: making it lighter than domestic cats. They are found in
- 6:44Speaker 1: parts of Costa Rica and Panama, as well as most
- 6:47Speaker 1: of the Amazon Basin. In South America. The northern tiger
- 6:50Speaker 1: cat is considered a vulnerable species across much of its range,
- 6:54Speaker 1: but can still be hunted in Ecuador, Nicaragua, and Peru.
- 6:58Speaker 1: So there aren't six wildcats in North America like I
- 7:01Speaker 1: stayed in episode three, and there aren't seven wildcats in
- 7:05Speaker 1: North America like I stated on Episode three fifty nine,
- 7:09Speaker 1: there are in fact eight wildcats native to North America.
- 7:14Speaker 1: First ever correction issued on a correction that was just
- 7:17Speaker 1: a flawed, flawed question by me to begin with, Yanni,
- 7:21Speaker 1: you feel better now knowing that there's eight. Well, we
- 7:24Speaker 1: asked used to ask that question in Meteor Trivia when
- 7:27Speaker 1: we did trivia before podcast during the v I P events,
- 7:31Speaker 1: and what was your answer? It was six? Now we
- 7:35Speaker 1: know it's a I'm not even convinced that's eight. I'm
- 7:37Speaker 1: sure we'll hear from somebody else. Now there's probably a
- 7:38Speaker 1: hybrid between two of these that make it nine, and
- 7:41Speaker 1: then another species we missed out on that's gonna make
- 7:44Speaker 1: it ten. We'll see what happens with the wildcats of
- 7:47Speaker 1: North America. Now they shall be index for this game
- 7:49Speaker 1: of Trivia is a six, so our winner should have
- 7:53Speaker 1: a very strong score. Also, there's an announcement at the
- 7:57Speaker 1: end of the episode of Trivia that you'll want to
- 7:59Speaker 1: stick around for. It has to do with some upcoming shows.
- 8:03Speaker 1: And with that we're onto the game play the drop Phil. Look,
- 8:08Speaker 1: I need to know what I stay in the wind
- 8:10Speaker 1: to everything? How's that? Just tend to win everything? Damon suckers.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Question one, we should add a gobble to the nause
- 8:29Speaker 1: every episode. We can keep making it longer and longer.
- 8:31Speaker 1: There's gonna be a two hour podcast by the time
- 8:32Speaker 1: we're done. Question when the topic is fishing and this
- 8:35Speaker 1: is multiple choice. This first great question comes to you
- 8:38Speaker 1: as via James Morris. If you have a question you
- 8:41Speaker 1: think is right for Meat Eater Trivia, you can send
- 8:43Speaker 1: it to Trivia at the meat eater dot com. This
- 8:45Speaker 1: Seth's dad. I don't know that is his name. I
- 8:50Speaker 1: think so you see you'll see what is the only
- 8:54Speaker 1: state without a naturally occurring lake? Is it Maryland, Arizona, Real,
- 9:00Speaker 1: Whode Island, or Texas? What is the only state without
- 9:07Speaker 1: a naturally occurring lake? Your choices are Maryland, Arizona, Rhode Island,
- 9:14Speaker 1: or Texas doesn't appear as though anybody knows this. Yanni
- 9:18Speaker 1: hasn't even picked up his white board and marker yet. Maryland, Arizona,
- 9:22Speaker 1: Rhode Island, Texas. Now, Christine, you said that you had
- 9:27Speaker 1: been studying for this show. How did you study for
- 9:30Speaker 1: a game of meat eater trivia? I realized I didn't
- 9:33Speaker 1: study that well, Okay, I looked over a lot of maps,
- 9:38Speaker 1: read some articles. That's markers are already going back one
- 9:43Speaker 1: more time. What is the only stay without a naturally
- 9:45Speaker 1: occurring lake Maryland, Arizona, Rhode Island or Texas? Does everybody
- 9:50Speaker 1: have an answer? A lot of writing? Go ahead and
- 9:53Speaker 1: reveal your answers. We have Maggie saying Rhode Island, Christine
- 9:57Speaker 1: saying Texas, Brodie saying Rhode Island, Corey sang Rhode Island,
- 10:02Speaker 1: Chester saying Arizona, Tressed saying Rhode Island, Sam saying Texas.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Jana sang Rhode Island. Nobody got it correct his Maryland.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Maryland does have a handful of rivers and freshwater ponds,
- 10:22Speaker 1: but none are big enough to qualify as a lake.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Scientists believe one of the last natural lakes in Maryland
- 10:28Speaker 1: was Buckles bog which would have been full of water
- 10:31Speaker 1: about fourteen thousand years ago. What's the scientific clarification for
- 10:35Speaker 1: a late I don't know. I imagine just like bigger
- 10:39Speaker 1: than an acre or something like that, or I don't
- 10:42Speaker 1: know what. They're gotta be bigger than that, I would
- 10:44Speaker 1: think so man, none of them in Maryland, though. Question
- 10:48Speaker 1: to the topic is hunting. What citrus soda from Coca
- 10:53Speaker 1: Cola wrapped their cans in camouflage as part of a
- 10:56Speaker 1: hunting season promotion? In what citrus soda from Coca Cola
- 11:05Speaker 1: wrapped their cans in camouflage as part of a hunting
- 11:09Speaker 1: season promotion? Dressing you know this quick answer? It was
- 11:17Speaker 1: just a quick guess. Okay, What citrus soda from Coca
- 11:21Speaker 1: Cola wrapped their cans in camouflage is part of a
- 11:23Speaker 1: hunting season promotion? In when you for all the newcomers,
- 11:29Speaker 1: when you hold up your answers, hold them up nice
- 11:31Speaker 1: and high, so Spencer you can see him. Thank you, Johnnie,
- 11:33Speaker 1: You're very helpful. I'm not new, but I'm holding it
- 11:40Speaker 1: low here. I might be all that he's showing his
- 11:44Speaker 1: answer to everybody. Does everybody have an answer? Go ahead
- 11:48Speaker 1: and reveal your answer. We have Maggie saying mountain dew,
- 11:51Speaker 1: Christine saying sprite, Brodie saying sprite, Corey saying sun kiss,
- 11:56Speaker 1: chest you're saying mountain dew, Tresses saying sprite, say I'm
- 12:00Speaker 1: saying orange crush, and Janice saying mello yellow. We have
- 12:04Speaker 1: a correct answer in the room. It's melo yellow. Y
- 12:10Speaker 1: did you know that it was just this was part
- 12:18Speaker 1: of mellow Yellows. This is my world campaign that marketed
- 12:21Speaker 1: to hunters in Coca Cola and Real Tree, which are
- 12:26Speaker 1: both Georgia based companies, haven't gone back to the camel
- 12:30Speaker 1: can design in six years. So you did not know that, yohann,
- 12:34Speaker 1: he was just a guess. I did not know what
- 12:36Speaker 1: that they did it. Yeah, I know. I just knew
- 12:38Speaker 1: that mello yellow was a Coca Cola product. Would be
- 12:42Speaker 1: PEPSI right line of thinking though. Question three the topic
- 12:48Speaker 1: is conservation. This next great question comes to us via
- 12:51Speaker 1: Alex Taylor. If you have a question you think is
- 12:53Speaker 1: right for Meat Eat to Trivia, you can send it
- 12:55Speaker 1: to Trivia at the meat eater dot com. This invasive plan,
- 13:00Speaker 1: which is a climbing perennial, has been nicknamed the vine
- 13:04Speaker 1: that ate the South. This invasive plant, which is a
- 13:09Speaker 1: climbing perennial, has been nicknamed the Vine that Ate the South.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Not enough Southerners in here, apparently because nobody knew it,
- 13:19Speaker 1: Yanni with a quick answer, though, do you know what, Yanni?
- 13:22Speaker 1: I think you got this one? Maybe I got a
- 13:26Speaker 1: good guess, the vine that ate the South. There's a
- 13:30Speaker 1: lot of invasives down there, they complain about when I'm
- 13:33Speaker 1: down visiting my in laws in North Carolina. They probably
- 13:37Speaker 1: got this plant there, only one of them, though, there's
- 13:39Speaker 1: the vine that ate the South. Bro do you think
- 13:42Speaker 1: you got this? No, I don't even have an answer,
- 13:44Speaker 1: but like I know, I've read about it, but I
- 13:46Speaker 1: just can't remember what the hell it is. Not enough
- 13:49Speaker 1: Southerners in the room. Do you like that tactic? Body
- 13:52Speaker 1: uses to like look, threw his hat into the universe,
- 13:56Speaker 1: answer that so far nothing nothing came by his cheat
- 14:01Speaker 1: sheet top of his hat. Pick vine, any vine? Everybody
- 14:06Speaker 1: have an answer? YEA, go ahead and reveal your answers.
- 14:10Speaker 1: We have. Maggie sang napweed, Christine without an answer, Brody
- 14:14Speaker 1: sang Ivy, Corey sang red vine like the licorice, Chester
- 14:19Speaker 1: saying buckthorn tressas saying looping, looping, Sam saying wild grape,
- 14:25Speaker 1: Jana saying creeping myrtle. M M. Nobody got it. Yes,
- 14:30Speaker 1: the correct answer is cut zoo. That's the damn word.
- 14:34Speaker 1: I was trying to remember. Yeah, it's actually a pea plant.
- 14:41Speaker 1: But yes, it's it's a vine. So far the Shelby
- 14:43Speaker 1: index is way she might win the game. Actually, I
- 14:46Speaker 1: don't know what we do in that case. Cut Zoo
- 14:49Speaker 1: is native to Asia and arrived in America in the
- 14:52Speaker 1: late eighteen hundreds. The plant is so destructive that its
- 14:56Speaker 1: present will actually bring down property values. During its pete
- 14:59Speaker 1: growing season, it can grow twelve inches per day, and
- 15:02Speaker 1: while dear dew brows on it, it usually out competes
- 15:05Speaker 1: native plants that they'd prefer to eat instead. How do
- 15:09Speaker 1: you spell spencer ku d z you cud zo? If
- 15:13Speaker 1: you ever watched the Sikh one hunters in Atlanta, Georgia,
- 15:18Speaker 1: they're always hunting around cuts you. Is that now the
- 15:21Speaker 1: plant that you're you're in laws having North Carolina? Yeah,
- 15:25Speaker 1: now it, But I just didn't. I didn't think there
- 15:27Speaker 1: was a vine because that's the number one invasive their
- 15:30Speaker 1: complaining about is cud Zoo, fighting it bad rough games.
- 15:34Speaker 1: So far we've had one correct answer. There's three question four.
- 15:40Speaker 1: The topic is woodsmanship. What nine eight six Gary Paulson
- 15:46Speaker 1: book is about a thirteen year old boy who lives
- 15:49Speaker 1: in the Canadian wilderness for fifty four days after surviving
- 15:53Speaker 1: a plane crash. What Night six Gary Paulson books about
- 16:00Speaker 1: a thirteen year old boy who lives in the Canadian
- 16:03Speaker 1: wilderness for fifty four days after surviving a plane crash.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Corey said he loves this book. Oh, I feel like
- 16:11Speaker 1: anyone who's listened to the Mediator podcast for like any
- 16:15Speaker 1: amount of time would know this answer. Okay, except for Chester.
- 16:20Speaker 1: I feel like I have right, but I also feel
- 16:22Speaker 1: like I don't know. Go with your gut, Chester. I'm
- 16:27Speaker 1: gonna get a copy for Oscar. I have read these books. Yeah,
- 16:33Speaker 1: Gary Poulson, I think he just died recently. I didn't
- 16:36Speaker 1: know that last couple of years. Was was he as
- 16:39Speaker 1: popular among female uh females who liked the outdoors as
- 16:44Speaker 1: he was males. I was obsessed with Gary Pulson as
- 16:47Speaker 1: a child. I wanted to be a sled dog racer
- 16:49Speaker 1: because of Garry Paulson. When I was an elementary schooler.
- 16:53Speaker 1: I competed to even have a little sled dog and
- 16:57Speaker 1: made my dog fool me around. I I was obsessed,
- 17:01Speaker 1: so for me, he was. I understand I do not
- 17:05Speaker 1: speak for all females, but yes, I've never heard of him.
- 17:08Speaker 1: So Chester, do you have an answer? I have an answer?
- 17:12Speaker 1: Does everybody have an answer? Go ahead and reveal your answers.
- 17:15Speaker 1: We have Maggie saying Hatchett, Christine saying Hatchett. Bro He's
- 17:19Speaker 1: saying hatchet, Corey saying Hatchett, Chester saying Brian's Hunt. Trusted
- 17:23Speaker 1: without an answer, Sam and saying Hatchett. They got it.
- 17:28Speaker 1: The correct answer is Hatchett. Now, there was there was
- 17:31Speaker 1: a bunch of sequels, and I don't know if that
- 17:33Speaker 1: was one of them. I think there was, like The
- 17:34Speaker 1: River Um, but Brian's Hunt I think was a Gary
- 17:37Speaker 1: Paulson book. I don't know if it was part of
- 17:39Speaker 1: this series, though, Man, that's no sleep, is you got?
- 17:49Speaker 1: That's right? Like Yanni said, He's gonna buy you the
- 17:52Speaker 1: whole Gary Paulson series. I think that's what Yannis said
- 17:55Speaker 1: right now. In two thousand seven, a boy scout it
- 18:00Speaker 1: missing in the North Carolina wilderness for four days when
- 18:03Speaker 1: he was finally rescued. He said he was able to
- 18:05Speaker 1: survive by applying the woodsmanship principles he learned from the
- 18:09Speaker 1: book Hatchet, and in two thousand twelve, School Library Journal
- 18:13Speaker 1: ranked the book twenty three on its list of the
- 18:16Speaker 1: top one hundred children's novels of all time. Now, Phil,
- 18:20Speaker 1: was Hatchet on your radar as a kid as well?
- 18:23Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, no, our our teacher turned it into
- 18:25Speaker 1: a whole unit. We did a thing. I mean the
- 18:27Speaker 1: I I did a rod. It was a whole Gary
- 18:28Speaker 1: Paulson thing. There was a there's a passage in that
- 18:30Speaker 1: book when he finds he comes upon like the dead
- 18:32Speaker 1: pilot of that plane that like deeply affected me as
- 18:34Speaker 1: a kid. Tell us more. Oh, it was just it
- 18:37Speaker 1: was like horrifying to me as like a third grader
- 18:39Speaker 1: or whatever. Yeah, dead dead, human bodies. It was kind
- 18:43Speaker 1: of the first time I had ever read something with
- 18:46Speaker 1: that in it. So, now, Janice Brody had had you
- 18:48Speaker 1: guys read this book before you aged out of aged
- 18:51Speaker 1: out of Gary Paulson series. By then? By when oh no,
- 18:57Speaker 1: before I mean, how old do you think we are.
- 19:00Speaker 1: I'm just asking, just asking. No, I read it. I
- 19:04Speaker 1: did not read it until in the last couple of
- 19:06Speaker 1: years when I read it to my girls. You read
- 19:07Speaker 1: in the last couple of years. Yeah, that's great. Yeah,
- 19:10Speaker 1: I like it to my girls. I wasn't just in
- 19:13Speaker 1: bed at night. Question five. This is our listener Question
- 19:17Speaker 1: of the Week, which was won by Marlon Brandon for
- 19:20Speaker 1: sending this great question. Marlin is going to get a
- 19:22Speaker 1: signed book by Steve. If you want a chance to
- 19:25Speaker 1: win the Listener Question of the Week, then send your
- 19:27Speaker 1: question to Trivia at the meat eater dot com. What
- 19:31Speaker 1: athlete uses his yacht called the Catch twenty three to
- 19:36Speaker 1: compete in North Carolina? Is Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament?
- 19:40Speaker 1: Every year? What athlete uses his yacht called the Catch
- 19:46Speaker 1: twenty three to compete in North Carolina? Is Big Rock
- 19:50Speaker 1: Blue Marlin Tournament every year? A quick answer from Brody? Brody,
- 19:55Speaker 1: you know this? Oh yeah, I feel like there's just
- 19:58Speaker 1: I'm not even Kay doesn't want to give a hint somewhere.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Chester's a lot of hints, is what I'm saying. Chester's
- 20:05Speaker 1: got big eyes. Chester, You think you come up with
- 20:08Speaker 1: the right answer, pretty calm. If this is an athlete
- 20:13Speaker 1: from North Carolina that catches things and is the number
- 20:16Speaker 1: twenty three. That's no hint that question. It's not like
- 20:25Speaker 1: you're saying anything that's not interested to hear. There's a
- 20:30Speaker 1: you know, if it's in the question or not. Like
- 20:32Speaker 1: he just said, the question is the question? Yeah, but
- 20:36Speaker 1: she bird information about the information. Yeah, it didn't take
- 20:41Speaker 1: a whole lot of inference. It was laid out there.
- 20:46Speaker 1: That's stepping over the line. That doesn't help me at all.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Does everybody have an answer? Absolutely not. I just want
- 20:55Speaker 1: to know, do you have the genesis of the name?
- 20:59Speaker 1: How went from catch twenty two to catch twenty three
- 21:01Speaker 1: in your explanation? To talk about it afterwards? Talk about
- 21:06Speaker 1: it afterwards, Sam, you have an answer, Gonna come up
- 21:10Speaker 1: with one. I've got a backup. Okay, you ready, He's
- 21:15Speaker 1: going with the backup, spitting Go ahead and reveal your answers.
- 21:19Speaker 1: We have Maggie saying, what's that? Say? No, what's no mean?
- 21:25Speaker 1: I do not have an answer, okay, Christine saying, Joe Mauer,
- 21:29Speaker 1: Brody saying, Michael Jordan's Cordy sang, Michael Jordan's Chester saying,
- 21:34Speaker 1: Jackie Robinson Tresses saying, Jared Allen, Sam saying, Tom Brady,
- 21:39Speaker 1: and Janice sang Mike Jordan's, the correct answer is Michael
- 21:44Speaker 1: Jordan's is Jackie Robinson dead. I would imagine for a
- 21:48Speaker 1: minute forty six forty two two think you're right, the
- 21:56Speaker 1: last person wear it would have been a movie. It's
- 21:58Speaker 1: called forty two. That's that's I think Jordan's both just
- 22:02Speaker 1: won a bunch of money recently. Didn't see those hints
- 22:05Speaker 1: didn't seem to help too much, bro, I thought they
- 22:07Speaker 1: were very helpful. They were they were well the catch
- 22:10Speaker 1: twenty three, I mean popular, one of the most popular
- 22:17Speaker 1: athletes effort, Like who doesn't know his numbers? Twenty three? Right?
- 22:20Speaker 1: He went to North Carolina. I'm saying, Christine Tress, are
- 22:26Speaker 1: you both from Minnesota? Um, I'm from Montana. But okay,
- 22:31Speaker 1: oh so you both with Minnesota athletes, but neither one
- 22:34Speaker 1: of you are from that. I definitely weigh in on
- 22:36Speaker 1: Jordan being the best player ever and not Lebron James. Now.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Jordan's team caught a four hundred forty two pound blue
- 22:44Speaker 1: marlin in which took fourth place for heaviest catch of
- 22:47Speaker 1: the day. He also landed a twenty five pound dolphinfish,
- 22:51Speaker 1: which was the eighth heaviest of the tournament. The Catch
- 22:54Speaker 1: twenty three is an eighty four ft yacht that's wrapped
- 22:57Speaker 1: with the same design as his heir, Jordan's three sneakers. Honest,
- 23:01Speaker 1: I don't know. I doubt there was ever a catch
- 23:03Speaker 1: twenty two. I think he was just purely catch twenty
- 23:07Speaker 1: three because he was the number twenty three and he's
- 23:10Speaker 1: catching stuff, catching stuff, a lot of stuff. We are
- 23:13Speaker 1: halfway through the game of trivia. Give us a scoreboard update, Phil.
- 23:17Speaker 1: With zero points are Tressa and Chester. Sorry, I wish
- 23:23Speaker 1: I could be more happy for you. This is the
- 23:25Speaker 1: worst I've ever done. So we have Sam, Maggie and
- 23:30Speaker 1: Christine coming up next. Corey and Brody have two points apiece,
- 23:34Speaker 1: and in first place with three points is the honest
- 23:36Speaker 1: patelis You're you're in a race here to beat Shelby.
- 23:50Speaker 1: Question six, the topic is cooking. What Southern state has
- 23:54Speaker 1: a pot roast recipe named after it that features ranch
- 23:58Speaker 1: dressing mix as you mix and pepper and Chinese I
- 24:03Speaker 1: love this rest got it? Oh man? It's so good.
- 24:06Speaker 1: What Southern state has a pot roast recipe named after
- 24:10Speaker 1: it that features ranch addressing mix, aju mix and pepperun
- 24:14Speaker 1: Chenie seems as though Maggie is the only one who
- 24:18Speaker 1: knew the all need to make this. I'll tell you
- 24:21Speaker 1: all about it, Tressy, you had a quick answer. You
- 24:25Speaker 1: know this one. No, it's just another guess. Okay, looking
- 24:28Speaker 1: for a southern state with the pot roast recipe named
- 24:32Speaker 1: after it. I agree with Maggie. It is my favorite
- 24:36Speaker 1: way to make a venison roast. It's so easy, it's
- 24:40Speaker 1: so good. I just having to pull one out of
- 24:42Speaker 1: the first before freezer before I came down there you
- 24:45Speaker 1: go this morning shank season. What are you making? Brody? Oh,
- 24:53Speaker 1: just like a beef boring and your own shank thing
- 24:57Speaker 1: type thing. And that's you got about eight hours to
- 24:59Speaker 1: wait for a right at least, Man, there's a couple
- 25:02Speaker 1: of elk shanks in there, and those tendons take a while. Though.
- 25:06Speaker 1: Breakdown would know this one. I don't know. I'm not
- 25:10Speaker 1: gonna tell you. Does everybody have an answer? Go ahead
- 25:13Speaker 1: and reveal your answers. We have Vegg sang Mississippi, Christine
- 25:17Speaker 1: sang Louisiana, Brody saying Kentucky, Corey sang Texas. Chester has
- 25:22Speaker 1: dad brain couldn't come up with a southern state DRESSA
- 25:27Speaker 1: says Louisiana, Sam sadly Mississippi, and Janie saying Texas. The
- 25:33Speaker 1: correct answer is Mississippi. This recipe was created by Robin
- 25:39Speaker 1: Chapman from Ripley, Mississippi, in the ninety nineties. It was
- 25:43Speaker 1: her family's favorite meal, so she shared it in the
- 25:46Speaker 1: Beach Hill Church of Christ cookbook. It since blew up
- 25:50Speaker 1: in popularity and has been pinned on Pinterest over a
- 25:53Speaker 1: million times. If you want to learn how to make it,
- 25:55Speaker 1: then go to the mediata dot com and check out
- 25:57Speaker 1: our recipe called Venison Mississippi pot roast. Why is it?
- 26:01Speaker 1: Tell me why you love it so much? Spencer flavor
- 26:05Speaker 1: is great. Um, it's got like a little spice but
- 26:07Speaker 1: not too much. You can just serve it on mashed potatoes,
- 26:10Speaker 1: you can serve it on a sandwich. It's just very
- 26:13Speaker 1: versatile and I think it's very palatable. Um, whether you
- 26:17Speaker 1: like spice or a lot of flavor or whatever. Maggie,
- 26:19Speaker 1: why do you like it so much? I like making
- 26:21Speaker 1: sandwiches with it. And it's like you can like throw
- 26:23Speaker 1: all your stuff in the pot roast in the morning
- 26:26Speaker 1: and like leave and go do whatever you want to
- 26:27Speaker 1: do in the day and like come home and you
- 26:29Speaker 1: got dinner ready. It's just like one of those good
- 26:32Speaker 1: easy meals that everyone's like, man, this is so good.
- 26:35Speaker 1: What do you do? And I'm like, there's some ranch
- 26:38Speaker 1: dust and a can of pepperccini like in a jar
- 26:42Speaker 1: and a slow cooker and it's awesome. Like it's shocking
- 26:45Speaker 1: how good it turns out. I also nothing against folks
- 26:49Speaker 1: from Mississippi. I call it white trash pot roast, just
- 26:54Speaker 1: because like it does feel like that when you're putting
- 26:56Speaker 1: like brown sugar and ranch dressing. Yeah, and like butter.
- 27:00Speaker 1: I put a stick of butter in there. I don't
- 27:02Speaker 1: know if it does it's good. Question seven the topic
- 27:08Speaker 1: is wildlife. This next question is a visual question. If
- 27:11Speaker 1: you want to see what the room is seeing, then
- 27:13Speaker 1: go to Instagram and check out at Spencer New Hearth.
- 27:16Speaker 1: I'll make it my most recent post. I am going
- 27:19Speaker 1: to show you a video of a man who had
- 27:21Speaker 1: a cable show from two thousand eleven to two thousand fourteen.
- 27:26Speaker 1: You need to tell me his nickname. Get thread down.
- 27:30Speaker 1: And now when you came out of wading, made a
- 27:39Speaker 1: little noise there? What was that? That's a rebel wind
- 27:42Speaker 1: and yeller that's it there, Yale. Every time you catch
- 27:44Speaker 1: them at your let me hear it. Letna hear that crowder.
- 27:49Speaker 1: You know, I give you power, you know before you
- 27:51Speaker 1: can catch you. Now you got in. Yeah, I got
- 27:54Speaker 1: a quarter showne and a quarter Cherokee. Yeah yeah, another
- 27:59Speaker 1: quarter the white man at the Yankee and you know
- 28:03Speaker 1: Union and the other quarter is a competitor. Wow. They
- 28:13Speaker 1: put that on TV today again. He had a cable
- 28:18Speaker 1: show from two thousand eleven to two fourteen. You need
- 28:22Speaker 1: to tell me his nickname. Seems as though nobody knows this, Maggie.
- 28:28Speaker 1: You had a quick answer, Do you know it? No,
- 28:31Speaker 1: I'm confluence looking for his nickname. How come you can't
- 28:38Speaker 1: tell us the name of the show. M hmm. We'll
- 28:42Speaker 1: talk about it in the follow up. Fact to it.
- 28:44Speaker 1: This is a tough round. Yeah, props the Shelby. I
- 28:50Speaker 1: think this is an example of her just having too
- 28:53Speaker 1: much exposure to my brain, um and things like I
- 28:57Speaker 1: watched this show. I make Mississippi po roast a lot,
- 29:01Speaker 1: So it's uh tougher than it seems. I just need
- 29:05Speaker 1: to come hang out with you for a couple of weeks.
- 29:07Speaker 1: It's right, do your dishes come join the nest. We
- 29:11Speaker 1: need to get back to our roots with like hunting. Yeah,
- 29:16Speaker 1: I'm like, give me more. These are these are what
- 29:19Speaker 1: popular culture? Is that? What they call that? Probably short
- 29:23Speaker 1: of just like pop culture questions? Is it really a
- 29:27Speaker 1: test of your knowledge of hunt fish cook? Absolutely? Does
- 29:32Speaker 1: everybody have an answer this question? No, what this person's
- 29:36Speaker 1: nickname is has more to do with how much time
- 29:38Speaker 1: has been on the couch washing TV. What's up? Chester?
- 29:43Speaker 1: I used to know. I'm not gonna say. Do you
- 29:46Speaker 1: know this answer? I don't think so. Does everybody have
- 29:49Speaker 1: an answer? Looking for his nickname? Go ahead and revealierrate
- 29:54Speaker 1: hold okay, Chester has got a last second, Go ahead
- 29:59Speaker 1: and reveal you answers. We have Maggie saying turtleman, Christine
- 30:04Speaker 1: saying gator boy, Brodie sang turtleman, Corey sang the swampman.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Chest you're saying turtle man, Tress is saying Larry the
- 30:12Speaker 1: cable Guy, Sam saying turtle Tom, and Janice saying Couter.
- 30:18Speaker 1: My mom used to have a blue tickhound dog named Cooter. Oh,
- 30:23Speaker 1: maybe that could be the name of my next one.
- 30:25Speaker 1: We have a correct answer in the room. It's turtle man.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Did you know that brod you just I did right,
- 30:36Speaker 1: literally right at the last second. We used to say
- 30:42Speaker 1: my buddies, and I like, that's right. That was Turtle
- 30:47Speaker 1: Man's call, Maggie, did you know that one? We're just guessing.
- 30:49Speaker 1: I just remember what the Turtle Man's up to these days.
- 30:52Speaker 1: Turtle Man's real name is Brown Jr. And his Animal
- 30:56Speaker 1: Planet TV show was Call of the Wild Man. Each
- 31:00Speaker 1: episode featured Earnie operating his nuisance animal removal business in Kentucky.
- 31:05Speaker 1: Turtle Man would go to people's homes to remove things
- 31:07Speaker 1: like skunks, snakes, and turtles, and then he would be
- 31:10Speaker 1: compensated with gifts like moonshine, car parts, and firewall. His
- 31:15Speaker 1: show lasted for four seasons and seventy two episodes. I've
- 31:18Speaker 1: seen every one of them because my roommate and I
- 31:20Speaker 1: in college would DVR it every time. Crack of Hams
- 31:25Speaker 1: and absolutely we had it. There was a murderers Row
- 31:31Speaker 1: of good TV. I think it was on like Wednesday
- 31:32Speaker 1: nights via Duck Dynasty, and then he had Turtlemanuh great
- 31:36Speaker 1: show Question eight. We'll get a scoreboard update from Phil
- 31:40Speaker 1: after this. The topic is biology. This next great question
- 31:45Speaker 1: comes to was via Alex Sutherland If you have a
- 31:48Speaker 1: question you think is right for Meat Eater Trivia, you
- 31:50Speaker 1: can send it to Trivia at the meat eater dot com.
- 31:53Speaker 1: How many marsupials are native to the United States? How
- 32:00Speaker 1: many marsupials are native to the United States? Like anybody
- 32:06Speaker 1: has an answer? Yet? He's doing a lot of math core?
- 32:12Speaker 1: You know this one? No, not at all? Do you
- 32:16Speaker 1: know what a marsupial is? My kid and I were
- 32:20Speaker 1: talking about marsupials last night. Really what what about him?
- 32:24Speaker 1: But we were talking about kangaroos. That's how old your
- 32:26Speaker 1: kid four? You gotta show him the video that dude
- 32:30Speaker 1: getting in a fist fight with a kangaroo. Have you
- 32:32Speaker 1: seen a few of them out? Yeah, my kid's been
- 32:37Speaker 1: getting in fights at school though, so I might wait
- 32:40Speaker 1: till least five. In the meantime, Janice will buy you
- 32:44Speaker 1: Gary Paulson's book The Hatchet. Does everybody have an answer?
- 32:50Speaker 1: How many marsupials are native to the United States. Let's
- 32:55Speaker 1: go go ahead and reveal your answers. We have Maggie
- 32:57Speaker 1: saying one, Christine saying to Brodie saying one, Corey saying one,
- 33:01Speaker 1: Chester saying three, Tresses saying four, Sam saying three Janice
- 33:06Speaker 1: saying one. The correct answer is one. The only marsupial
- 33:13Speaker 1: in America is the Virginia possum. They are considered to
- 33:17Speaker 1: be the northernmost marsupial in the world. Their native ranges
- 33:20Speaker 1: from Central America to the Midwest, but their populations have
- 33:24Speaker 1: boomed thanks to humans. Like most marsupials, possums have a
- 33:27Speaker 1: pouch where the newborns live for the first three months
- 33:31Speaker 1: of their life. Now Steve was here, he'd he'd ask
- 33:35Speaker 1: everyone what the nickname for a possum is? Grinner? That's right, sure,
- 33:40Speaker 1: there's there's got to be many more, right, many. There's
- 33:43Speaker 1: a good children's book out there. I think it's just
- 33:46Speaker 1: called What's that about. It's about a little family of
- 33:50Speaker 1: possums and their year. What's interesting about it is that
- 33:54Speaker 1: by the end of it there's one or two one,
- 33:57Speaker 1: one or two left of the babies. Oh they die,
- 34:00Speaker 1: Oh yeah, getting hit by cars, like all the things
- 34:04Speaker 1: that actually happened. But it's not like a real downer
- 34:08Speaker 1: you're reading. You're kind of like, Okay, that's how life goes,
- 34:11Speaker 1: fair possum. That's why they start off with eight or however,
- 34:13Speaker 1: the money they start off with the honest, maybe you
- 34:15Speaker 1: should get that for baby Oscar. Add that to the lists.
- 34:20Speaker 1: Every book they always have to have some type of
- 34:23Speaker 1: message take away. You know what is it in the
- 34:25Speaker 1: Possum book? You though I don't know what life is hard?
- 34:31Speaker 1: Have a lot of babies in case six of them die,
- 34:34Speaker 1: something like that, get a good life insurance package. Bell.
- 34:39Speaker 1: We have two questions left. Give us a scoreboard update. Yes, unfortunately, Chester,
- 34:44Speaker 1: Christine and Trussa have been eliminated from the gaging, but
- 34:47Speaker 1: we have five players still left. With two points we
- 34:51Speaker 1: have Sam James, three points, Corey Caulkins, and with four
- 34:56Speaker 1: points apiece are Brody, Janice and Maggie. I'll tied for
- 35:02Speaker 1: We're We're Question nine, the topic is public lands. What
- 35:13Speaker 1: family organized day forty one day armed standoff at Oregon's
- 35:18Speaker 1: Mall her Wildlife Refuge? In? What family organized a forty
- 35:26Speaker 1: one day armed standoff at Oregon's Mall Humor Wildlife Refuge?
- 35:31Speaker 1: In you know this one? Brodie, Maggie, you gotta hang
- 35:38Speaker 1: with these two, Okay? Looking for the name of the
- 35:41Speaker 1: family that organized the forty one day standoff at the
- 35:45Speaker 1: wildlife refuge in twenty sixteen. Now that I'm eliminated. I
- 35:49Speaker 1: think I got this one. Okay. What was the name
- 35:51Speaker 1: of the refuge? It is the Mall Humor Wildlife Refuge
- 35:55Speaker 1: in Oregon. Does that help you? No, be honest, you
- 36:00Speaker 1: know this. You can hang with Brody, believe so. Looking
- 36:04Speaker 1: for the name of the family. I just hope I'm
- 36:08Speaker 1: not off by like a letter to or something like that.
- 36:11Speaker 1: But does everybody have an answer? No? A lot of
- 36:15Speaker 1: pressure me. I know name of the family? Chester. Why
- 36:21Speaker 1: do you know this one? Uh? Well, I could be wrong,
- 36:26Speaker 1: but I heard. I just remember hearing this and following.
- 36:31Speaker 1: It's a fun story a little while ago. Fun story.
- 36:36Speaker 1: That's go ahead and reveal your answers. We have Maggie
- 36:43Speaker 1: saying the Trump's, Christine without an answer, Brody saying Bundy,
- 36:48Speaker 1: Corey saying Bundy, Chester's saying Bundy trusted without an answer,
- 36:52Speaker 1: Sam without an answer, Janice saying Bundy. They got it.
- 36:56Speaker 1: It was the Bundy's. I thought the Bunnies was farther back.
- 37:00Speaker 1: They've been for a while. They had Yeah. Yeah, there's
- 37:07Speaker 1: been other Nevada Nevada not paying like for grazing, right,
- 37:12Speaker 1: there's all kinds of things. The Bundies organized the standoff
- 37:16Speaker 1: in an effort to protest the treatment of two area
- 37:19Speaker 1: ranchers convicted of federal land arson. One occupant was killed
- 37:23Speaker 1: by the swat team after driving through a roadblock and
- 37:26Speaker 1: reaching for a handgun. The Bundies were also at the
- 37:29Speaker 1: center of a standoff in Nevada when BLM rangers tried
- 37:34Speaker 1: to seize the family's Cattaly as payment for over one
- 37:37Speaker 1: million dollars in unpaid grazing fees. We have one question left, Phil,
- 37:43Speaker 1: who is still in the game. Oh, we still got
- 37:46Speaker 1: a lot of players left in Maggie, Corey, Jannie, and Brody.
- 37:49Speaker 1: Brody and Janice have five points in first place, and
- 37:52Speaker 1: Korey and Maggie have four points. Question ten. The topic
- 37:57Speaker 1: is hunting. States like Arkansas, Illinois, and Maine use this
- 38:03Speaker 1: color paint on fence posts to indicate no trespassing. States
- 38:10Speaker 1: like Arkansas, Illinois, and Maine use this color paint on
- 38:15Speaker 1: fence posts to indicate no trespassing. Quick answer from Brody.
- 38:24Speaker 1: But I'm basing it on Nie Corey, You're still in
- 38:28Speaker 1: the game. Do you know this one? My in laws
- 38:30Speaker 1: live in Illinois, you know, Maggie, do you know this one? No,
- 38:35Speaker 1: I'm guessing Okay, we have a confident break. I'm not confident,
- 38:41Speaker 1: but I know of some other information that hopefully applies.
- 38:49Speaker 1: States like Arkansas, Illinois, and Maine use this color paint
- 38:52Speaker 1: on fence posts to indicate no trespassing. Yanni trying to
- 38:58Speaker 1: force a tiebreaker here? Does everybody have an answer? Go
- 39:04Speaker 1: ahead and reveal your answers. We have Maggie saying paint,
- 39:07Speaker 1: Christine sang, Brodie saying purple, Cordy sang purple, Chester saying white,
- 39:14Speaker 1: Tress is saying green, Sam saying white, and Janice saying purple.
- 39:22Speaker 1: Answer is purple. I didn't know about those other states.
- 39:25Speaker 1: I just knew Pennsylvania. I knew it was something weird
- 39:28Speaker 1: like that. Roughly a dozen states have some variation of
- 39:32Speaker 1: the purple paint law, which is a substitute for no
- 39:35Speaker 1: trespassing signs. The purple paint is often used on corner
- 39:39Speaker 1: posts and trees to mark private land boundaries. Other states
- 39:42Speaker 1: like Idaho and Montana use orange paint instead. Fascinating, and
- 39:49Speaker 1: we are going to overtime play the drop, Phil, But
- 39:57Speaker 1: do Magan sense at all? First? Your left, you you
- 40:00Speaker 1: can be second, you can be third, fourth, out give
- 40:06Speaker 1: the tie breaking question. This will be a numerical question.
- 40:09Speaker 1: Whoever is closest to the correct answer will be declared
- 40:13Speaker 1: our winner. The topic is fishing. According to a sixteen
- 40:20Speaker 1: survey by the US Fish and Wildlife Service, what percentage
- 40:24Speaker 1: of American women had fished in the last year. Why
- 40:31Speaker 1: is that so funny? I don't know. I feel like,
- 40:34Speaker 1: you know, if you guess wrong here, you could be
- 40:37Speaker 1: sort of you know, aud by your answer, Um, are
- 40:42Speaker 1: you looking for whole numbers? Decimal decimal point? What right it?
- 40:47Speaker 1: To a decimal point? To a single decimal to a
- 40:49Speaker 1: single decimal point? According to a sixteen survey by the
- 40:54Speaker 1: US Fish and Wildlife Service, what percentage of American women
- 40:59Speaker 1: had fished in the last year. We are down to
- 41:02Speaker 1: Janie and Brody, but if the rest of the room
- 41:04Speaker 1: wants to play along, we'll hear your answers as well.
- 41:07Speaker 1: We're just here to judge. How do you feel about
- 41:14Speaker 1: this one? Brody? Well, I mean, I I hate these
- 41:19Speaker 1: kind of questions, but I mean I think I'm gonna
- 41:23Speaker 1: be close. Okay, Yanny, you feel okay about this one? Yeah,
- 41:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna add a number, okay, just to make it
- 41:31Speaker 1: so that it's the same you know, does everybody else
- 41:35Speaker 1: have an answer? Who's going to play along? Looking for
- 41:39Speaker 1: what percentage of American women had fished in the last year?
- 41:43Speaker 1: And this is a twenties sixteen survey, Brod, are you good?
- 41:49Speaker 1: A lot of thinking over there, of right think, So
- 41:53Speaker 1: go ahead and reveal your answers. We have Christine thirty four,
- 42:00Speaker 1: Corey saying seventeen point five, Chester saying six, tress Is
- 42:05Speaker 1: saying twelve point three, Sam saying nineteen point two, and
- 42:10Speaker 1: our two players left. We have Brody saying twenty two
- 42:13Speaker 1: point seven and Janice saying twenty point one. You guys
- 42:18Speaker 1: were within two percentage points of each other. The winner
- 42:24Speaker 1: is Janice. The correct answer was seven percent, which Chester
- 42:29Speaker 1: was only one percentage point off of yous gotta get
- 42:33Speaker 1: out and fish more. What the heck seven percent of
- 42:39Speaker 1: American women had fished within the last year. I don't
- 42:43Speaker 1: buy it. I think it's way harder than that. So
- 42:49Speaker 1: maybe COVID did pull those numbers up. Yanni is our winner.
- 42:52Speaker 1: He was thirteen percentage points off. But you were good enough. Gradulations,
- 42:57Speaker 1: thank you. What happened Shelby? You did I'm gonna have

- 43:03Speaker 1: and see what she comes up with. Yeah, that's right. Yeah.
- 43:06Speaker 1: What happens next is Yanni gets to choose where the
- 43:08Speaker 1: five hundred dollar donation goes. So what's it going to be.

- 43:30Speaker 1: quote me on that. Look at that's what their website says.
- 43:33Speaker 1: They gotta fight coming up. Uh there, I don't know,
- 43:37Speaker 1: it might not be a fight, but they are hoping
- 43:39Speaker 1: to introduce crane hunting to the uh you know, to
- 43:45Speaker 1: the process and getting it approved and uh so they
- 43:49Speaker 1: could use a little extra boost right now. It's gonna
- 43:52Speaker 1: be great to see a crane season in Michigan. Maybe
- 43:54Speaker 1: they can get dove hunting done as well. It seems
- 43:56Speaker 1: crazy that they could get cranes approved before doves. Yeah,
- 44:00Speaker 1: the whole dove thing in Michigan is But what more time?
- 44:03Speaker 1: What is that conservation group called the m u c C.
