- 0:03Happy Saturday morning, Kim said.
- 0:08I heard you in the basement. So she took that Halloween
- 0:12wreath down. OK, where's the where's the
- 0:16Thanksgiving wreath? Yeah, I know.
- 0:19I guess this is just wear and tear.
- 0:22Our dogs don't do that. I don't know what that is.
- 0:24I think it's just maybe sun coming through.
- 0:27We got to get that restained all right, It's a it's a beautiful
- 0:32day, said It's a beautiful day, said Herman Munster.
- 0:41It's raining. All right, breaking news in the
- 0:44garage area, big news out of Phoenix.
- 0:49First of all, let's start with the big one, Michael Jordan and
- 0:54at 2311 team that he owns him and Denny Hamlin and Front row
- 0:59Motorsport. They are O and three, everybody.
- 1:04You know, this is a strange phenomenon because you know, you
- 1:08know, you thought they might have had something, but you go
- 1:11back to all my videos. I'm right again, Herman's right
- 1:15again. And like I say, it's not
- 1:19important for me to be right. It doesn't doesn't do me any
- 1:23good, but when I'm right all the time like I am, it makes me look
- 1:29good. I hate it for him.
- 1:32But I said, man, be careful. NASCAR's got friends in
- 1:36Washington, DC. They know what they're up to.
- 1:40Richard Petty and the gang, they tried this stuff years ago, but
- 1:45the injunction failed. The judge ruled yesterday, on
- 1:49Friday. So right now, Michael Jordan,
- 1:532311 in front row, they are. Oh, and three, it means they
- 1:57have tried to go against NASCAR while they sued them three times
- 2:01and they've lost all three times.
- 2:03Now, the lawsuit still goes on, but the injunction did not
- 2:07happen. They are not allowed to keep
- 2:11their charter if this court case keeps going in the next year.
- 2:17So once once January 1st hits, they do not have an they do not
- 2:23have a charter. And we've gone over this 1000
- 2:25times. What is a charter?
- 2:28A charter means that you make a lot more money in NASCAR and
- 2:32you're locked in every race. So it's still going to court.
- 2:37It's calm down. I know, my God, it's still going
- 2:41to court. But if you read the papers, it's
- 2:44they're not going after anything.
- 2:46They just want NASCAR to redo their charter system.
- 2:50They just feel like the teams need more money.
- 2:54But right now 2311 and front row sent out a beautiful comment.
- 3:00It basically says, hey, full steam ahead.
- 3:03We're going to Daytona with a charter without.
- 3:06And I'm like, damn, that means they got to qualify.
- 3:10That means if there's 43 cars, they only start in 40 and you
- 3:15know 9 times out of 10 they're going to make every race because
- 3:19here's why there's not that many teams in NASCAR.
- 3:24It's it's very expensive to buy a car.
- 3:29Those cars are a lot of money. We're talking like 350 grand,
- 3:34250 grand over 1/4 of $1,000,000.
- 3:37OK, so nobody's lined up to buy a car and go to Daytona.
- 3:42Joe Bob here in Saint Louis is not going to spend 250 grand on
- 3:46a car and then put a motor in it.
- 3:49Now we're 350 and, and, and go to Daytona cost a lot of money.
- 3:54So 2311 in front row, they just going to miss out on a lot of
- 3:59money. And but they're going to have a
- 4:01lot of heartache because when they go to Daytona, they're not
- 4:05going to have a charter. And that means they got to put a
- 4:07lot of effort into qualifying. But if only 40 cars show up,
- 4:13then they're they're locked in and, and I assume every single
- 4:16race next year there will not be over 40 cars.
- 4:19I'm making that call right now. I'm making that call right now,
- 4:22but who knows, because I know RFK, Brad Keselowski and them
- 4:28they're talking about starting another team.
- 4:30So if RFK, you know, Roush Fenway, Keselowski, if they
- 4:36start another team, that means more cars.
- 4:38So I don't know, let's let's watch that.
- 4:42Let's watch that. Let's see if more cars come into
- 4:46NASCAR. So you know, hey, I'm a I'm a
- 4:49crack a little joke right now. NASCAR is doing so bad that Brad
- 4:54Keselowski going to start another team up.
- 4:56Boy, NASCAR, we're losing so much money that we going to
- 5:00start another team up, says Brad Keselowski.
- 5:04Then you got, then you got these guys over here suing NASCAR
- 5:08because they say it's a monopoly.
- 5:09So listen, I understand Denny Hamlin and I understand Michael
- 5:15Jordan. They just want a bigger piece of
- 5:17the pie and I'm not condemning them whatsoever.
- 5:20I, I said that these guys are great athletes.
- 5:24They're used to dealing with, you know, other sports.
- 5:27So anyway, I just brought you up to date.
- 5:29The injunction did not go through.
- 5:31I gave you my opinion what that means.
- 5:34I cracked a couple jokes, you know, So that's that.
- 5:39All right, Let's take a drink of coffee yesterday in Phoenix.
- 5:45It was the State of the Union address by NASCAR.
- 5:48They do it every year. Steve O'Donnell and Steve
- 5:54Phelps, the two Steves, they they rule NASCAR.
- 5:58And Steve O'Donnell said, I might get in trouble saying
- 6:02this, but what happened at Martinsville really pissed
- 6:04NASCAR off. Pissed me off, is what he said.
- 6:07That's what Steve O'Donnell said.
- 6:10OK, I didn't say that. Steve O'Donnell said what
- 6:13happened? That Martinsville really pissed
- 6:16us off, meaning NASCAR. And here's why.
- 6:20Because the race was perfect until until all the blocking,
- 6:25the riding, the wall happened and then NASCAR had to respond
- 6:29to what the drivers did. Now NASCAR said we had a big
- 6:33phone call with the automakers, not OEM.
- 6:38Think he might have used that. So NASCAR did have a meeting
- 6:45with the with the automakers and told him you're done.
- 6:49Quit that stuff. We got all the audio.
- 6:52We hear you all. We see you all.
- 6:54I said it on coffee with Kenny yesterday.
- 6:57I said it on coffee with Kenny yesterday.
- 6:59NASCAR's got their own TV building.
- 7:02They can hear everything you all are saying now.
- 7:04So they going to start doing hand signs.
- 7:06When your driver comes off the corner, a guy's going to be at
- 7:09the dorm. You know what that mean, right?
- 7:13Did you see me? NASCAR can hear and see
- 7:17everything now because they got their own TV building down there
- 7:21and everybody's heard about that new TV communications building.
- 7:24So NASCAR is able to run through everything.
- 7:27Guys aren't hiding anymore. Racing Electronics is not going
- 7:31to provide you a separate channel and all that.
- 7:34And even if you do, they still can see what's up.
- 7:40They said today, right now, today, Saturday, they're going
- 7:43to have a big powwow with the drivers.
- 7:46And I think they've already made that message.
- 7:48I think everybody knows what NASCAR is going to say.
- 7:51Steve O'Donnell says they're going to tell the drivers, don't
- 7:55even listen to anybody anymore. That was your that was your one
- 7:58chance. NASCAR said the reason they did
- 8:01not find Ross Chastain, Bubba Wallace or Austin Dillon, the
- 8:07reason they didn't find them is because they're being told what
- 8:11to do by the automakers and their spotters.
- 8:14And the drivers are just doing what they're told to do because
- 8:17that's that's who they get paid. They get paid by the automakers.
- 8:22The automakers pays Richard Childerson.
- 8:24Richard pays his grandson Austin.
- 8:27So you you follow the money and the drivers are doing what
- 8:30they're told to do. So they said.
- 8:33But this was their only warning. They're not giving the drivers a
- 8:38break ever again. And that's what they said.
- 8:43Yeah. I think in ending, I want to
- 8:47congratulate Time Majeski. How about that Time Majeski wins
- 8:51the Truck Championship. He is the most hardcore, winning
- 8:57a short track driver. So Time Majeski wins the Truck
- 9:02Championship. His story's incredible.
- 9:04After the race, Time Majeski goes to the Media Center.
- 9:07Now, this guy, Time Majeski's won every short track race there
- 9:11is. There's no more for him to do.
- 9:13I want to ask him. I said, Manny, how come you
- 9:16ain't moving up the the chain? How come you know in an Xfinity
- 9:19series at least. And he just kind of shrugged his
- 9:21head. This guy as he's kind of like a
- 9:24Stewart freezing. Stewart freezing wins all in
- 9:28dirt races. Stewart freezing goes back to
- 9:30run the center steer mods up there in New York.
- 9:32And I mean just thrashes him. He just did it.
- 9:36Stewart Freezing goes and wins another 50 grand to win starting
- 9:39starting last and he's still in the Truck Series.
- 9:44Time Majeski wins everything there is and he's still in the
- 9:48in the Truck Series. But time Majeski story I got, I
- 9:53got I got an end like this. Ty says I win like the 2020
- 9:57snowball Derby, like he wins the biggest short track race ever
- 10:01and you're figuring Dale Junior, somebody's going to call this
- 10:05guy Thor sports, the big truck team.
- 10:09They call him. They don't offer him a ride.
- 10:11They said, would you like to be our truck engineer?
- 10:17They call it 2020 Snowball Derby champion.
- 10:22They call him and they say, hey, would you like to come work for
- 10:25us? We need an engineer.
- 10:28So kids, let this be a lesson. He was a diamond in the rough.
- 10:35And look at that. A diamond is like a rock.
- 10:37And then when you get it, you cut on it.
- 10:39You Polish it up. And that's what happened with
- 10:41time Majeski, he bet on the come and and the betting on the come
- 10:46means I think I'll go take this engineering job and I might get
- 10:50in one of those trucks and look at him now.
- 10:54So sometimes when you're trying to get to the top, you got to
- 10:57start at the bottom. So congratulations to Ty
- 11:00Majeski, one hell of a race car driver.
- 11:03So and yes, I picked Corey Heim to win it.
- 11:07I picked Corey Heim to win it. I'm not going to apologize.
- 11:11I was not wrong, I just wasn't right.
- 11:15He he he messed up. He he started 5th and I guess he
- 11:19he when you when you pass this, here's the rule.
- 11:23I know this rule. You've got to get past the start
- 11:26finish line before you pull out a line.
- 11:29What Corey Hine did is he pulled out a line before the start
- 11:34finish line and NASCAR, NASCAR don't like that short track
- 11:38stuff where everybody's every which way you you got to go past
- 11:42the start finish line in line unless somebody misses a shift
- 11:46or they can really see. So he pulled out a line.
- 11:49He went from 5th to 3rd and they put him to the back of the pack
- 11:53and but he Corey was not going to win the championship.
- 11:56He was not fast enough. He said that Corey Hynes said
- 12:00that he was 2/10 slower every lap than time Majeski time
- 12:05Majeski flat with their butts. All right, everybody, I broke it
- 12:10all down. I think I, I told you about the
- 12:12big meeting, told you about the big lawsuit.
- 12:17I told you about the injunction with Michael Jordan.
- 12:20I told you why what I told you about NASCAR saying, listen, we
- 12:25like the playoff system. NASCAR said we'd like this
- 12:28playoff system. And we hear you all out there
- 12:31complaining that Kyle Lars is not in.
- 12:34They hear you. But it's a playoff system, guys,
- 12:38you know, and Kyle just didn't go through the playoff system.
- 12:41Hard to have the winningest driver in the Final Four if he
- 12:46didn't make it through the playoff system.
- 12:49All right, whoa, this is a long one.
- 12:51NASCAR is the gift that just keeps giving.
- 12:54Once again, it's a beautiful day, said Herman Munster.
