- 1:11Speaker 1: out there. Hopefully business we make the plea, but people
- 1:13Speaker 1: don't hear it until until so like, maybe we'll get it.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Just a boon of reviews here, gonna crush, It's gonna crush.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Yeah, this show is very simple. If it is your
- 1:23Speaker 2: first time joining us. I'm gonna tell Dan about a
- 1:26Speaker 2: TV courtroom case that I watched. He's gonna try to
- 1:28Speaker 2: guess the verdict, and then Dan's gonna be the exact
- 1:30Speaker 2: same thing for me. I'm gonna try to guess it,
- 1:33Speaker 2: and uh, you can play along at home unless you've
- 1:35Speaker 2: seen the case and you know the verdict.
- 1:36Speaker 1: That's not Yeah. I will say last week, I think
- 1:38Speaker 1: you said that if we don't get to two hundred
- 1:41Speaker 1: something like that, then we'll quit or whatever. Since you
- 1:44Speaker 1: said that, we did get two more ratings. Whoa, So
- 1:47Speaker 1: we are up to one sixty nine, but no no
- 1:49Speaker 1: new reviews, no new reviews. But five if you just
- 1:51Speaker 1: want to five, start quick. Its five.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Sorry, get it, get in, get out, didn't get out?
- 1:54Speaker 2: Get Yeah, I'm.
- 1:58Speaker 1: I'm do you want to go first? I would love
- 2:00Speaker 1: to go for you. I go over to the people's courts.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Yes, judge, I got it right, I got it right.
- 2:06Speaker 1: You got it right. I did say it earlier, but
- 2:08Speaker 1: still you got it right. I was listening, John Robert.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Cadet spelled exactly like Cadet would be spelled. Is suing Ananda.
- 2:17Speaker 1: It's Amanda, but with an INN instead of an mpe
- 2:21Speaker 1: uh for thirty five hundred dollars. Now, this is a
- 2:25Speaker 1: little bit like personal injury court. The breakdown on this
- 2:29Speaker 1: is one thousand dollars for the lost a lost dog,
- 2:32Speaker 1: two thousand for paint and suffering, and then two hundred
- 2:37Speaker 1: for reimbursement for dog sitting, and three hundred four some
- 2:40Speaker 1: Rabi shots. I need to give me that total. I can't.
- 2:43Speaker 1: It's fine, thirty five hundred, Okay, just just know that
- 2:45Speaker 1: we'll get back to Ananda's counter suing for five hundred
- 2:48Speaker 1: dollars for defamation of character and a pet sitting fee.
- 2:54Speaker 1: So both suing for a pet sitting fee. We'll get there, Okay.
- 2:57Speaker 1: I promise John Robert. I'm gonna call him jay or
- 3:00Speaker 1: even though I'm sure he would not appreciate that. She
- 3:02Speaker 1: does call him Bobby. In the courtroom. He's very like,
- 3:05Speaker 1: he's very like put together, very like dressed, and like
- 3:09Speaker 1: everything is exactly you can tell he's a very particular
- 3:12Speaker 1: human being. He says. In July, I left the country
- 3:14Speaker 1: to go visit family for two weeks. Uh Ornando was
- 3:17Speaker 1: my dear friend. She's dog set for me before. And uh,
- 3:22Speaker 1: I was gonna pay someone because I was gonna be
- 3:24Speaker 1: going for two full weeks. That person that service fell through.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Ornanda volunteered and said she would do it, and I
- 3:30Speaker 1: said I would pay her. I did say I would
- 3:32Speaker 1: pay her because she's gonna dog sit for me for
- 3:35Speaker 1: two full weeks. How do they know each other again,
- 3:36Speaker 1: They're just dear friends. Okay, that's it. We never agreed
- 3:39Speaker 1: on a price. You need to know that upfront. So
- 3:41Speaker 1: then I got back from vacation. I called her to
- 3:43Speaker 1: let her know I was back in town and I
- 3:45Speaker 1: wanted to get my dogs. A few minutes later, she
- 3:47Speaker 1: called me and said Coco had run away. Coco was gone.
- 3:52Speaker 1: She said she was loading up her car.
- 3:53Speaker 2: But she gets just called right before she was about
- 3:55Speaker 2: to get home, like she's on her way.
- 3:57Speaker 1: He comes and then gets a call from her. He
- 4:01Speaker 1: calls her and says, I'm back. Yeah, I would like
- 4:03Speaker 1: my dogs. She's gonna bring him over. We'll get to why.
- 4:06Speaker 1: That's the case in a second, and he has two dogs.
- 4:09Speaker 1: She says, Coco's gone suspicious. Co Co ran suspicious. Well,
- 4:15Speaker 1: she said when she was loading up the car to
- 4:16Speaker 1: bring him back, she was putting the leash on Bear,
- 4:18Speaker 1: not Coco, Bear, the other one, and Coco just was gone.
- 4:22Speaker 1: And then she said she was inside the house when
- 4:24Speaker 1: it happened. Her door closes automatically. Her stories just didn't
- 4:27Speaker 1: line up, and so at first she said the door
- 4:30Speaker 1: is open, and then she said she didn't know. Then
- 4:32Speaker 1: she started talking about bunnies. There's a lot of bunnies
- 4:35Speaker 1: in her yard, and Coco likes bunnies, like in her neighborhood.
- 4:37Speaker 1: I don't know what she's talking about. Coco is still missing.
- 4:40Speaker 1: I've not found Coco. She's a toy poodle Pekinese. Oh
- 4:45Speaker 1: that's sad, that's right. Anana's like, well, what happens. Anita's
- 4:49Speaker 1: really sad about this. What happened was unfortunate. I was
- 4:52Speaker 1: working when he called. He called me and said he
- 4:54Speaker 1: just got back into town, but the guy he lives
- 4:56Speaker 1: with needed the vehicle, and so he didn't have a
- 4:59Speaker 1: way to come over and get the dogs, and so
- 5:01Speaker 1: I was interesting. I called my boyfriend who lives with me,
- 5:04Speaker 1: and he's in the courtroom and said, get Coco and
- 5:07Speaker 1: Bear stuff together. When I get home, I'm gonna get
- 5:10Speaker 1: you and them in the car because I gotta take
- 5:12Speaker 1: you to work. I'll drop the dogs off. It's on
- 5:14Speaker 1: the way, same route, okay. I go in the house.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Both dogs are there. They're very excited to see me.
- 5:19Speaker 1: I clip Bear. I turn around, and I'm calling for Coco.
- 5:23Speaker 1: She's nowhere to be found. I go to the front door.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Front doors open. My boyfriend, who walked outside to go
- 5:27Speaker 1: to the car. He's in the front yard. He says, Coco.
- 5:30Speaker 1: I didn't see her. Coco's not out here. I have
- 5:31Speaker 1: a four bedroom house, two stories. I am need to
- 5:33Speaker 1: start going upstairs. Coco likets running down the stairs. I
- 5:36Speaker 1: look there, I look everywhere. We don't see her.
- 5:39Speaker 2: I feels like it's a slightly different story though, than
- 5:41Speaker 2: what correct what JR.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Said. Yes, she told him, yes, he says. As soon
- 5:46Speaker 1: as we realize Coco's probably outside, we closed the door
- 5:49Speaker 1: to the inside and then I go this way. My
- 5:51Speaker 1: boyfriend goes out with Win meet it start running around
- 5:53Speaker 1: looking for the dog. We're terrified that the dog is missing.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Your honor. I went, I took her to the VET
- 5:59Speaker 1: five days go for her vaccinations. She only weighs seven pounds,
- 6:03Speaker 1: she's tiny. We thought she'd get tired pretty quickly. Million's like,
- 6:07Speaker 1: wait a minute, you took her to vaccinations like rabies
- 6:10Speaker 1: and stuff. And she goes, yes, ma'am, what a friend,
- 6:12Speaker 1: And she is, why did you do did you did
- 6:14Speaker 1: you know you had to do that when he asked
- 6:15Speaker 1: you to keep him? And she goes, no, he called
- 6:18Speaker 1: me from overseas to say, oh, they've got disappointment, and
- 6:21Speaker 1: I took him amaz amazing, amazing, amazing, above and beyond
- 6:26Speaker 1: also beyond jay R's kind of doing them dirty there,
- 6:28Speaker 1: that's kind of stopped. And then JR. Because that's a
- 6:31Speaker 1: whole thing. Yes, And she said JR Did call in
- 6:33Speaker 1: and pay for the vaccinations, but took her for all
- 6:36Speaker 1: the things whatever. And Millions said, don't they microchip the dogs?
- 6:40Speaker 1: And apparently there is a microchip, but uh, Coco didn't
- 6:43Speaker 1: have a collar on with the number, So the only
- 6:44Speaker 1: way the microchip would work is if it went to
- 6:46Speaker 1: a vet. So j R says, there's no collar on,
- 6:50Speaker 1: So if if the dog was taken to a shelter vet.
- 6:53Speaker 1: I would have been contacted. And I think that's why
- 6:56Speaker 1: I think Henanda's maybe have kept it. She's kept a dog.
- 6:58Speaker 1: I think she's kept it. Wait a minute, I did
- 7:02Speaker 1: not see that coming. So a couple of things you're
- 7:04Speaker 1: not gonna see coming here. And Nana's like, you're honor.
- 7:06Speaker 1: I would never do that. We're dear friends. I also
- 7:08Speaker 1: called every animal shelter. I had to give them pictures
- 7:11Speaker 1: from my own phone because JR wouldn't send me any pictures.
- 7:14Speaker 1: And then I then JR said, tell the animal shelters
- 7:16Speaker 1: to call me. He's never gotten in touch with the
- 7:18Speaker 1: animal shelter. He's never looked for his dog, not once.
- 7:21Speaker 1: But also, what's bear chopped? Lever? Like that Bear's not
- 7:24Speaker 1: worthy of that. That's that's fast, it's he's a good boy.
- 7:29Speaker 1: And so Million's like, why didn't you call the animal shelter.
- 7:32Speaker 1: He's like I did. I just didn't reach anybody. And
- 7:33Speaker 1: she's like, did you try to find your dog? He's like, yeah,
- 7:36Speaker 1: but I just I tried to keep a cool head.
- 7:38Speaker 1: I I started a new job. There's a graduate course
- 7:41Speaker 1: I'm taking. I'm really busy. I thought Coco would be
- 7:44Speaker 1: found for sure. And then as I kept replaying things,
- 7:46Speaker 1: her story getting that up, and so you know, I
- 7:49Speaker 1: think I think you know something happened.
- 7:52Speaker 2: It seems like Ananda is a lot more torn up
- 7:55Speaker 2: about this very much.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Does Millions like do you think she killed the dog?
- 8:00Speaker 1: And He's like, no, I just think she sold her,
- 8:02Speaker 1: is gonna breed her. Yo, that's a crazy accusation. Emilion's like,
- 8:07Speaker 1: she's taking care of your dogs before for free, yeah,
- 8:10Speaker 1: And Anna's like, yes, yeah, I have no problem, and
- 8:13Speaker 1: He's like, She's like, you're not. You're on her. He's
- 8:15Speaker 1: not even trying to find Coco. He hasn't spoken with
- 8:17Speaker 1: the shelters. I paid for flyers to be printed out
- 8:21Speaker 1: of my own pocket with screenshots of the dog that
- 8:25Speaker 1: I have and put them up. He's done nothing. And
- 8:29Speaker 1: then a few weeks after that, we couldn't find the dog.
- 8:33Speaker 1: I went to I was supposed to go to Houston
- 8:34Speaker 1: on a vacation with some of my girlfriends, and I
- 8:37Speaker 1: wasn't going to go. I was still broken up about
- 8:40Speaker 1: the dog. He came over to my house, we cried together.
- 8:43Speaker 1: He told me to go on vacation, said he didn't
- 8:45Speaker 1: blame me at all, and I said, no, I'll stay
- 8:48Speaker 1: here and keep looking. She he said, no, uh, you
- 8:51Speaker 1: need to go, and she's like, you're on her. I
- 8:53Speaker 1: was so scared. I've never been through this in my
- 8:55Speaker 1: whole life. He's the one that insists that I go
- 8:57Speaker 1: to you about that. I was like, yeah, that's all I.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Then at what point between hey, I don't blame you
- 9:03Speaker 2: at all, go on vacation to courtroom does he begin
- 9:06Speaker 2: to believe that she thefted his dog?
- 9:08Speaker 1: So she goes. Then she he sent me two hundred
- 9:12Speaker 1: dollars and said, have fun on your trip. I get
- 9:14Speaker 1: back from my trip and find out I'm being sued
- 9:17Speaker 1: for thirty five hundred dollars and millions, like that's really
- 9:22Speaker 1: weird that you would just turn around and sue her.
- 9:25Speaker 1: And she's he said, well, the two hundred dollars wasn't
- 9:28Speaker 1: to have fun in Texas. That was compensation for watching
- 9:31Speaker 1: the dogs. We didn't agree on amount, but I told
- 9:34Speaker 1: her I'm a man of my word. I told her
- 9:35Speaker 1: I would pay her. I paid her, and then he
- 9:38Speaker 1: says this line, which I still don't understand. I believe
- 9:40Speaker 1: in the universe. I'm a positive person. Do some people
- 9:45Speaker 1: not believe in the universe, like universe is real. That's
- 9:48Speaker 1: not a belief situation like it. We have proof of that.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Maybe it's a maybe it's a karma thing. I believe.
- 9:54Speaker 1: I think you forgot a line there. I believe the universe.
- 9:56Speaker 1: I'm a positive person, and and millions like so the
- 9:59Speaker 1: two in dollars is the only money that exchanged hands,
- 10:02Speaker 1: and it was given to her for watching the dogs.
- 10:05Speaker 1: And he said yes, and she's like, so, what are
- 10:08Speaker 1: you suing for it? And he goes, I paid one
- 10:09Speaker 1: thousand dollars for the dog. Suing for that, I paid
- 10:13Speaker 1: two I paid three hundred dollars for Raby shots that
- 10:16Speaker 1: clearly I'm not gonna the dog's gone. I paid for
- 10:18Speaker 1: the Raby shots. I would like I want that money
- 10:21Speaker 1: back because she's the one that had the dogs during
- 10:23Speaker 1: the Raby shots. I want the two hundred dollars I
- 10:26Speaker 1: paid to her back. Now that I'm thinking about the story,
- 10:29Speaker 1: I think she still has the dog the tune that
- 10:30Speaker 1: I paid. I want it back. And then I want
- 10:33Speaker 1: two thousand dollars for paying and suffering. Total of thirty
- 10:36Speaker 1: five hundred dollars, one thousand for the dog, the other
- 10:38Speaker 1: twenty five hundred for other things. Basically, wow, now and
- 10:41Speaker 1: Anda suing for defamation and basically she's suing for another
- 10:46Speaker 1: one hundred dollars for dog sitting. And Million is floored
- 10:50Speaker 1: by this. She's like, he paid you two hundred dollars,
- 10:53Speaker 1: you lost his dog, and you want one hundred more dollars.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Whose fault is it for losing the dog? And She's like,
- 11:03Speaker 1: it's nobody's fault. It was an accident. I desperately didn't
- 11:05Speaker 1: want to lose the dog. And Million's like, it is
- 11:07Speaker 1: an accident, but like if someone accidentally hits my car,
- 11:10Speaker 1: like there's still a fault there, Like, you can't just
- 11:14Speaker 1: say that. What's the defamation of character about? She's like,
- 11:18Speaker 1: he was calling me the devil in my living room
- 11:20Speaker 1: in front of my friends. I brought him and and
- 11:22Speaker 1: and and Jr. Was like, wait a minute. I wasn't
- 11:25Speaker 1: calling her the devil. What I said, you're honor was
- 11:26Speaker 1: we were all at her house. We were going to
- 11:28Speaker 1: watch a movie. She likes scary darkness. After they lost
- 11:32Speaker 1: a dog, they all got together to watch a movie.
- 11:34Speaker 1: True after after she got back from her trip and
- 11:37Speaker 1: found out that she was being sued. I don't know,
- 11:40Speaker 1: but they all got together one real murky and this
- 11:44Speaker 1: is the best part of this whole case, and it's
- 11:46Speaker 1: the very end. She's gonna rule after this. Jr's like,
- 11:48Speaker 1: let me tell you what happened. We all got together
- 11:50Speaker 1: and we were deciding on a movie to watch, and
- 11:52Speaker 1: she said she liked to watch dark, scary movies. That's
- 11:55Speaker 1: what she likes to do. And I told her I
- 11:56Speaker 1: was positive. I like to watch uplifting things. And then
- 11:59Speaker 1: I said, maybe it's all those dark entities that you
- 12:02Speaker 1: allowed in your house. That's the reason that Coco ran away. Yeah,
- 12:09Speaker 1: Coco's like seven pounds Pekinese poodles, Like I sent her
- 12:14Speaker 1: some dark ros right in here. There's a demon. That
- 12:18Speaker 1: is the last thing we get to hear. Millions ready
- 12:21Speaker 1: to rule.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Well, I think it's clear that Nanda isn't going to
- 12:24Speaker 2: get any of the countershif.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Yeah, very clear. Give me that breakdown one more time.
- 12:30Speaker 1: That JR. Soon one thousand for the dog, two thousand
- 12:34Speaker 1: for pain and suffering, two hundred for the money he
- 12:37Speaker 1: gave her to dog, sent three hundred for raby shots,
- 12:42Speaker 1: suing her for the rapie shot, for that whole trip
- 12:45Speaker 1: of the vet. Because and you lost the dog.
- 12:46Speaker 2: So that's crazy I'm gonna give I'm gonna give him
- 12:50Speaker 2: the one thousand dollars for the dog and nothing else.
- 12:52Speaker 1: So is Judge million, you lost the dog, you are
- 12:55Speaker 1: o compensation. The rest of this seems as though she
- 12:58Speaker 1: did the job. So you got you loug at me.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Everybody go yield. Let's head it to Judge Karen.
- 13:07Speaker 2: And I want to be abundantly clear here throughout the
- 13:11Speaker 2: course of this next case, I'm gonna say the word
- 13:14Speaker 2: wiener a lot, and every time I say Wiener in
- 13:21Speaker 2: any use of it, I am getting as close to
- 13:26Speaker 2: the quote that is said in the courtroom as I
- 13:29Speaker 2: possibly can. So I'm not trying to do a bit.
- 13:33Speaker 2: I'm not making fun of anything. This is just how
- 13:36Speaker 2: the case is presented in Judge Karen's courtroom. So I
- 13:41Speaker 2: apologize ahead of time. Neil Stein is suing Gary Geller
- 13:47Speaker 2: Gary two thousand, four hundred and twelve dollars in eighteen's
- 13:55Speaker 2: and eighteen This is important stuff.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Neil is a Wiener connoissewer.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Okay, he loves hot dogs of all shapes and size.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Why not say a hot dog connoisseur. That's not what
- 14:08Speaker 1: he says. And I just want to say this, this
- 14:11Speaker 1: is this case sounds funny, but it's not gonna be
- 14:13Speaker 1: played for lefts Like he's serious when Gary is. I
- 14:18Speaker 1: start this case and I'm like, Gary's doing a bit.
- 14:21Speaker 2: The longer that I watched this case, I truly believe
- 14:24Speaker 2: that Gary is a genuine and just kind of an
- 14:30Speaker 2: odd duck.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Fourteen two thousand and four whatever. That is over two
- 14:34Speaker 1: thousand dollars on a hot dog case A lot of money. Yeah, yeah,
- 14:37Speaker 1: you're not messing around here.
- 14:38Speaker 2: He loves hot dogs of all shapes and sizes. I
- 14:41Speaker 2: don't really know what other shapes the hot dogs come in,
- 14:43Speaker 2: but that's.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Neither here or there.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Gary and his brother own a hot dog restaurants.
- 14:51Speaker 1: The kind of like Skins he is in the UPTA.
- 14:55Speaker 1: I think two thousand dollars could buy you a Skins franchise. No,
- 14:59Speaker 1: no way.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Skinned dog Skins is legendary. So I've never been so
- 15:05Speaker 2: really I love a hot dog.
- 15:08Speaker 1: It is like, literally, it is as basic as you
- 15:13Speaker 1: think that restaurant is. It's more basic. I love that
- 15:16Speaker 1: there's you just can order hot dogs, chips, and drinks.
- 15:18Speaker 1: That's it. There's nothing else anything else. There's literally they
- 15:22Speaker 1: have a warmer back there with all the weenies and
- 15:25Speaker 1: and some and and a thing where they're steaming the buns.
- 15:28Speaker 1: And then there's a thing a chili that's just ground beef.
- 15:30Speaker 1: That is it, and it's in a pot. They have
- 15:32Speaker 1: nothing else. They have one stove. It is as basic
- 15:36Speaker 1: a restaurant as you've ever been in your life called Skins.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Do what you want with that.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Neil works out of place that is close to Gary's
- 15:49Speaker 2: hot dog establishment, and he would frequent this establishment. He
- 15:53Speaker 2: would go multiple times a week for hot dogs. And
- 15:59Speaker 2: Gary is very proud of his store. He says, they
- 16:02Speaker 2: have the best hot dogs in Fresno, and they're respected
- 16:05Speaker 2: in the community so great.
- 16:08Speaker 1: You know, whatever you talk hot dogs, you wonder how
- 16:10Speaker 1: they are thought of in the community. Right like Skin
- 16:13Speaker 1: like I the Sleepless Nights. How is Skins like reflected
- 16:17Speaker 1: in the Yeah?
- 16:19Speaker 2: I oddly enough, I do feel like Skins is kind
- 16:22Speaker 2: of respected in the community.
- 16:24Speaker 1: The fact that it's been around for so long. Everybody
- 16:26Speaker 1: at least knows of Skins. Which is from ages ten
- 16:30Speaker 1: to eighteen, I lived in Lyman, South Carolina, which there
- 16:33Speaker 1: was a place in Limon right on the Limon Welford
- 16:35Speaker 1: line where you're familiar, I'm sure, called Red Hill Farms,
- 16:38Speaker 1: and it was a hot dog, a local version of Skins.
- 16:41Speaker 1: And we thought Skins were a bunch of posers because
- 16:44Speaker 1: Red Hill Farms was it. And they also serve the
- 16:46Speaker 1: best boiled peanuts in the world, and so the still around.
- 16:51Speaker 1: I don't know, that's a great one.
- 16:52Speaker 2: I'm looking it up right with that up, sorry because
- 16:54Speaker 2: I'm but also try your best to pay attention because
- 16:56Speaker 2: this case, Yeah, that's a.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Lot going on here. Judge Karen then looks at Neil
- 16:59Speaker 1: and asks if he's wearing a brooch.
- 17:03Speaker 2: When she is, he is wearing a brooch. He has
- 17:06Speaker 2: a brooch kind of like right here. He's got his
- 17:11Speaker 2: shirt button all the way up and a brooch is
- 17:13Speaker 2: right here. Okay, it's a nice red brooch, he says,
- 17:16Speaker 2: I am wearing a broach. She says, I do you
- 17:19Speaker 2: wear brooches often? He says, I do. This is an't
- 17:21Speaker 2: important of the case, but I like all sorts of jewelry.
- 17:25Speaker 2: She says, I like brooches too. It's a nice color,
- 17:28Speaker 2: it's red.
- 17:28Speaker 1: It's nice. She says, I don't know if I've ever
- 17:31Speaker 1: seen a man wear a broach.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Before, and Neil says, I do a lot of things
- 17:35Speaker 2: most men don't.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:41Speaker 2: So she says, like going to a hot dog stand
- 17:44Speaker 2: three days a week, And Neil says, like I said,
- 17:46Speaker 2: I'm a wiener connoisseer.
- 17:48Speaker 1: He is. She says, okay, continue, he says, yes.
- 17:51Speaker 2: So for many months I enjoyed Gary's wieners until one
- 17:56Speaker 2: day he would not accept this coupon for a free
- 18:02Speaker 2: hot dog, and I was told that I was banned
- 18:05Speaker 2: from the establishment. What Gary says, We have a loyalty
- 18:11Speaker 2: program where customers earn free stuff and you get a
- 18:14Speaker 2: free hot dog coupon upon signing up. Neil abused this program.
- 18:19Speaker 2: He would constantly get different coupons with different emails. Neil says,
- 18:25Speaker 2: I work in the digital realm. I have many email addresses.
- 18:28Speaker 1: I know where you're signing already with this. You are
- 18:30Speaker 1: an email making connoisan word. I do make a lot
- 18:33Speaker 1: of emails. I think that there is a sweet spot, though,
- 18:37Speaker 1: but you don't. You would never turn somebody away doing
- 18:40Speaker 1: this because you think if they're not breaking the rule,
- 18:42Speaker 1: then yeah, he would.
- 18:44Speaker 2: He would use a coupon every time he could go
- 18:45Speaker 2: in there three times a week.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Wow, he'd be making three emails a week. So where
- 18:50Speaker 1: are you on that? I think that free trial guy,
- 18:53Speaker 1: I think that's going too far. But you would do
- 18:55Speaker 1: free trials all year, like every year you do a
- 18:57Speaker 1: free trial for Yeah, but I think at when you're
- 18:59Speaker 1: talking about a.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Goods like a like a hot dog and you're going
- 19:06Speaker 2: in and getting a free hot dog every day at.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Something that like a TV something subscription, that you would
- 19:11Speaker 1: get a free trial for every year just to watch
- 19:13Speaker 1: the holiday season. Yeah, yeah, before before filough you would
- 19:17Speaker 1: watch harwork movies and you would never pay.
- 19:18Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a good and and I wouldn't have I
- 19:21Speaker 2: wouldn't have cable any other time of the year, and
- 19:22Speaker 2: that's a good.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's not three days a week every week.
- 19:30Speaker 1: I'm just saying. I just I just think that there's
- 19:32Speaker 1: a there's a there's a limit.
- 19:34Speaker 2: There's a limit to where it starts getting all right ethically, murky,
- 19:38Speaker 2: and he crossed it, you didn't.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Yes, right, I love it. I love it. I'm glad
- 19:45Speaker 1: that limit worked. I'm glad it worked out for you
- 19:48Speaker 1: right arbitrarily. I'm glad to do it, thank you. So.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Uh, he would constantly get coupons with different emails, and
- 19:54Speaker 2: he said the digital realm thing. He has lost of
- 19:56Speaker 2: different emails. Judge Karen asked, how many emails you use?
- 19:59Speaker 2: He he says, it's hard to say, and he says, can
- 20:01Speaker 2: you approximate a number? And he says, I came three
- 20:04Speaker 2: days a week and I would bring a coupon every time.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Every time. Gary says he did this for six months.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, and they gave him a hot dog
- 20:11Speaker 1: every time. Every time, Wow, every time. Neil says, but
- 20:15Speaker 1: I wasn't just my emails. My coworkers knew that I
- 20:18Speaker 1: loved Wieners and would sign me up with their email
- 20:21Speaker 1: addresses and then just give me the coupon. Karen asked
- 20:25Speaker 1: that says seventy eight emails. Yeah. Please.
- 20:27Speaker 2: We later find out We later find out that there
- 20:31Speaker 2: was a handful of times that coupons weren't used and
- 20:34Speaker 2: he actually did purchase okay, hot dog. We'll get to
- 20:36Speaker 2: that in a minute. Uh so, Gary says.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Oh.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Karen asked Gary what happened that made him feel like, hey,
- 20:44Speaker 2: enough is enough? This guy's abusing the coupon policy. Gary says,
- 20:48Speaker 2: one day I saw him come in. I saw that
- 20:50Speaker 2: he had the coupon, and I just I snapped. Enough
- 20:53Speaker 2: was enough, So I came out. I told him that
- 20:56Speaker 2: I'm not going to give him any more hot dogs.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Here's the last one. Oh yeah, on that day.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Give him on that day, and it's important to the case.
- 21:03Speaker 2: We'll find out. And but you're not allowed to come
- 21:05Speaker 2: back here your bands? Oh wow bands. I would assume
- 21:09Speaker 2: he could just not use coupons anymore.
- 21:11Speaker 1: He's yes.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Judge Karen asked, well, why didn't you just tell him
- 21:14Speaker 2: that he couldn't use coupons anymore, that he could still
- 21:17Speaker 2: pay for the hot dogs.
- 21:18Speaker 1: He says, it's a fair question.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Honestly, I was just fed up that day and I
- 21:22Speaker 2: didn't want to see him anymore, so.
- 21:23Speaker 1: I told him he was banned. Neil says, no, you
- 21:27Speaker 1: threatened me. Oh boy. Gary says, that's ridiculous.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Neil says, he threatened me, and my heart started to
- 21:34Speaker 2: race so fast that I had to fall to the floor.
- 21:39Speaker 2: And it's at this point that the hot dog that
- 21:42Speaker 2: I was given came out of the bun and slid
- 21:46Speaker 2: across the store floor. And it is then that I
- 21:49Speaker 2: discovered that the twelve inch Wiener that I ordered was shorter.
- 21:54Speaker 1: He ordered a twelve inch week. It was a much
- 21:58Speaker 1: shorter Wiener Geller.
- 22:00Speaker 2: He says to the guy across the across the courtroom.
- 22:03Speaker 2: This is all serious, This is all serious. A twelve
- 22:05Speaker 2: inch hot dogs, A big hot, big hot dog. It's
- 22:08Speaker 2: a big hot dog.
- 22:09Speaker 1: So you might beating a free twelve inch Wiener three
- 22:12Speaker 1: days a week, as far as I could tell. Yeah,
- 22:15Speaker 1: I don't know how Gary's making any money here. It's
- 22:18Speaker 1: just it's it's may be a free twelve inch boy
- 22:21Speaker 1: three days. Yeah, I mean a regular hot dog half that. Yeah,
- 22:26Speaker 1: what are you talking about? Big hot dog?
- 22:29Speaker 2: He says that you might be wondering, Dan, how does
- 22:31Speaker 2: he know that it's not a twelve inch hot dog?
- 22:36Speaker 1: He says, I'd love to hear his answer.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Neil says, I just did the tiling at my house
- 22:43Speaker 2: and it was the same tiles that were at the store.
- 22:46Speaker 2: And I know that those tiles are twelve inches exactly.
- 22:50Speaker 2: The Wiener definitely not twelve inches.
- 22:53Speaker 1: He was measuring it against against his memory of the
- 22:57Speaker 1: tiles on his floors or twelve inches yet to be honest.
- 23:02Speaker 1: I and this is a personal flaw for me. I
- 23:04Speaker 1: don't like Neil, and the reason I don't like Neil
- 23:06Speaker 1: Is because there are two I love a good deal there,
- 23:09Speaker 1: they're listen, I love a good deal. I love if
- 23:13Speaker 1: I know I'm going to buy something, I'm going to
- 23:15Speaker 1: find the best deal on that. And you know this
- 23:17Speaker 1: about me. If I'm gonna buy something, if I was
- 23:18Speaker 1: gonna buy a new laptop, or I was gonna buy
- 23:20Speaker 1: a car, or I was gonna buy whatever, I'm gonna
- 23:22Speaker 1: find the best deal that includes a promo code to
- 23:24Speaker 1: upon whatever. That's fine. People that buy things because they
- 23:27Speaker 1: have a coupon are the bane of my existence, because
- 23:32Speaker 1: they're not out, they're not out to try to live
- 23:35Speaker 1: in a world where we're all living in a same
- 23:38Speaker 1: system of give and take. It's I'm trying to find
- 23:41Speaker 1: a way to cheat the system. Neil is here to
- 23:44Speaker 1: cheat the system. And you know what, there are people
- 23:47Speaker 1: like that. You are a little bit like that. You
- 23:49Speaker 1: you like a good deal and you'll buy something just
- 23:51Speaker 1: because there's a deal on it. That's the difference though
- 23:54Speaker 1: with Neil Is. Neil's a wan or kind of souls right.
- 23:57Speaker 1: He says that Neil's out a winger, kind of sewer.
- 23:59Speaker 1: He is cheating the system to get a free hot dog.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Just buy a freaking hot dog if you want a
- 24:07Speaker 1: hot dog like I just is wild to me, Like,
- 24:11Speaker 1: for instance, wing Wednesday, there happens to be a deal
- 24:14Speaker 1: on wings, so we do it on Wednesday. Here for it.
- 24:17Speaker 1: If I every day of the week ago, what am
- 24:19Speaker 1: I getting a deal on? That's what I'm eating. I
- 24:21Speaker 1: can't live like that. It drives me nuts. Neil is
- 24:24Speaker 1: the like the one hundred out of one hundred version
- 24:28Speaker 1: of that guy, and I already want Gary to win
- 24:30Speaker 1: this already.
- 24:33Speaker 2: When he realized that the hot dog was not twelve inches,
- 24:37Speaker 2: his hearts began to raise very quickly, even more than
- 24:43Speaker 2: it already was. He realized that he had been lied
- 24:45Speaker 2: to all these months about the size of Neil's wieners.
- 24:50Speaker 1: So he thinks they all weren't twelve inches. Yes, not
- 24:52Speaker 1: just this one. That's exactly right. Okay, So he's been
- 24:56Speaker 1: eating three twelve inch wieners a week, and and on
- 25:00Speaker 1: this day, the day of his last free wiener. Yes,
- 25:03Speaker 1: he's decided that for the last six months he's been shorted.
- 25:07Speaker 1: He's been shorted, Okay.
- 25:10Speaker 2: He's like, I had to go to the hospital and
- 25:11Speaker 2: it was discovered that I have taki cardia.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Which is some sort of cardia, some sort of hearts.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Maybe it's because you've been eating three twelve innch wieners
- 25:21Speaker 1: a week, Neil good point. Garry says, I had nothing
- 25:24Speaker 1: to do with that.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Freaking Neil says, you've come, you have everything, You have
- 25:31Speaker 2: everything to do with that is what Neil says. She
- 25:34Speaker 2: asked Neil what the threat was that he is claiming
- 25:41Speaker 2: that Gary made to him, and he says, he told
- 25:43Speaker 2: me I wasn't welcomed anymore.
- 25:45Speaker 1: That's a threat. Judge Karen laughs.
- 25:49Speaker 2: He brings the paperwork from the hospital that shows the
- 25:51Speaker 2: diagnosis of that thing, TALKI cardio whatever. Judge Karen googles
- 25:56Speaker 2: to diagnosis, she wasn't familiar with it and reads the causes,
- 26:00Speaker 2: none of which say anything about hot Dog specifically. She
- 26:03Speaker 2: asked what the proof is that Gary caused this to happen?
- 26:08Speaker 2: He says, distress of being made a fool. It was
- 26:12Speaker 2: quite the kerffluffle. Karen says, what's a kerfluffle?
- 26:16Speaker 1: Does he say kerfluffy or kerfuffle? Whatever you say every time?
- 26:21Speaker 1: Is it an actual word? Kerfuffle? Kerfuffle? Okay? Great?
- 26:25Speaker 2: Whatever he says is what he says. She he explains
- 26:28Speaker 2: what that word means, uh, and that he was made
- 26:31Speaker 2: to look like a fool. I was made to look
- 26:34Speaker 2: like a fool, and it made my heart race. She
- 26:38Speaker 2: asked about why he's suing about the hot dog, and uh,
- 26:43Speaker 2: because part of it is the medical expensive and part
- 26:46Speaker 2: of it is hot dog related. And he says, I
- 26:49Speaker 2: have proof that the hot dog that I was promised
- 26:53Speaker 2: is not twelve inches. Time and time again he promised
- 26:56Speaker 2: me a full twelve inch wiener, and time and time
- 26:58Speaker 2: again he did not give me what I want.
- 27:00Speaker 1: Well, it was probably delivered the full twelve inches.
- 27:02Speaker 2: That's exactly right. Gary says, Neil's incorrect. The name of
- 27:05Speaker 2: the hot dog store is Bigfoot hot Dog. We have
- 27:09Speaker 2: two hot dogs, the Bigfoot and the Bigfoot Long. At
- 27:12Speaker 2: no point is that supposed to be related to measurement.
- 27:17Speaker 2: It's a Bigfoot theme.
- 27:19Speaker 1: Yes not, since he never says that the dog is
- 27:23Speaker 1: twelve inches. Nowhere in the Bigfoot hot Dog menu doesn't
- 27:27Speaker 1: say a twelve inch dog. That's right, it's big the
- 27:29Speaker 1: Bigfoot or the Bigfoot long. Okay, that's it. Yeah, that
- 27:32Speaker 1: could be anything, it's right. Uh.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Neil says it's a breach of contract, false advertising.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Hate Neil. The amount, what he looks like, but I'm
- 27:40Speaker 1: picturing him in my head, that's right.
- 27:43Speaker 2: So he's suing for the hospital build, the amount of
- 27:47Speaker 2: ambulance costs as well, and then Olan's costs. Yeah, it
- 27:50Speaker 2: was an ambulance related and then over six months he
- 27:55Speaker 2: uh purchased without coupon forty two wieners forty two. So
- 28:00Speaker 2: he didn't go quite getting free. He didn't go as
- 28:03Speaker 2: hard as initially yeah suggests, but.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Still a lot. He would go seven times a.
- 28:07Speaker 2: Month, that's right, at twenty nine cents per inch, So
- 28:12Speaker 2: he owes me forty two inches.
- 28:15Speaker 1: Dude, Neil is the worst human being, so that is where.
- 28:20Speaker 2: So the medical stuff is the two four hundred dollars,
- 28:25Speaker 2: and then he's suing twelve dollars and eighteen cents for
- 28:29Speaker 2: the hot dog that he did not receive, and he
- 28:32Speaker 2: is she's ready to judge.
- 28:33Speaker 1: Karen gives Neil a dime. I'm never watching judge Karen again.
- 28:36Speaker 1: This is absurd. Neil, you are not a person that
- 28:41Speaker 1: I want to talk to at this very moment. I'm
- 28:43Speaker 1: gonna work on myself and I'm gonna be better, and
- 28:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna be more patient with people, and then I
- 28:47Speaker 1: will speak to you, but I may have to go
- 28:49Speaker 1: back into therapy.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Karen says, he's not covering any of your medical If
- 28:54Speaker 2: you brought in a expert witness, then maybe that would
- 28:57Speaker 2: help prove that Gary's responsible, but he didn't do that.
- 29:00Speaker 2: As for the twelve eighteen, Gary, how much are the
- 29:04Speaker 2: hot dogs?
- 29:04Speaker 1: He says about three point fifty.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Karen is like, how about you give him four coupons
- 29:09Speaker 2: for free dogs and we call it a day.
- 29:11Speaker 1: Jerry says, can we split the difference? Is Gary? Jerry? Gary? Sorry?
- 29:16Speaker 1: He says, can we split the difference? Two coupons?
- 29:20Speaker 2: And he has to send a coworkerver so I don't
- 29:22Speaker 2: have to see him. Karen says, deal, I'm not giving
- 29:25Speaker 2: you any money, but I'm giving you low coupons for
- 29:28Speaker 2: hot dogs, but you can't go in pickup.
- 29:30Speaker 1: I love that. And that is the ruling from Judge Carrier.
- 29:34Speaker 1: What a case, What a moment, What a case we did. Everybody?
- 29:38Speaker 2: Congratulations We make next time with another gavel.
