- 0:14Speaker 1: Hi, guys, it's Jen Fessler from I Do Part two.
- 0:17Speaker 1: So the holidays can be hard for singles and actually
- 0:20Speaker 1: for couples, but I am talking to you party of one,
- 0:24Speaker 1: and my suggestion is to give yourself permission to indulge.
- 0:28Speaker 1: If you feel like going out with friends and making
- 0:30Speaker 1: bad decisions, go for it. If you feel like staying
- 0:34Speaker 1: under the covers with peppermint Bark and Bailey's and reality TV,
- 0:39Speaker 1: which is my personal favorite, go for it. This is
- 0:42Speaker 1: the season for indulgence without guilt. If you don't want
- 0:45Speaker 1: to be around people, if it's a little depressing for you,
- 0:47Speaker 1: then I suggest you give into that impulse. Fomo can
- 0:50Speaker 1: be turned into jomo, which I call the joy of
- 0:53Speaker 1: missing out when you do exactly what you want to do. Remember,
- 0:56Speaker 1: the holidays can be the most fun and challenging, So
- 1:00Speaker 1: you make yourself happy this holiday season. Be with friends,
- 1:04Speaker 1: be alone, spend a little too much money, eat a
- 1:07Speaker 1: little too much chocolate, and enjoy your holiday.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Love to you all. Hey you guys.
- 1:13Speaker 3: It's Kelly Killer and Ben Simone And here is my
- 1:16Speaker 3: single survival kit for Thanksgiving Friendsgiving twenty twenty five.
- 1:25Speaker 2: My survival kit starts.
- 1:26Speaker 4: With self care, I'm really really into self care. I
- 1:29Speaker 4: know that people are like, I'm gonna do a yoga
- 1:32Speaker 4: clans and be self care.
- 1:34Speaker 2: I'm talking real self care.
- 1:35Speaker 4: I'm talking like writing down things that you want in
- 1:40Speaker 4: your life, writing down things that you love about yourself,
- 1:44Speaker 4: writing things down about what you love about another person.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Really just putting it out there. What you love, like,
- 1:54Speaker 4: who you love, why you love, where you want to love,
- 1:59Speaker 4: like where you want to live with that person.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Just really put it out there.
- 2:03Speaker 4: Because if you put it out there and you write
- 2:05Speaker 4: it down and you start talking about it, that is
- 2:09Speaker 4: when people are like, oh, she really is looking for love,
- 2:13Speaker 4: or she's really looking for this kind of partner, or
- 2:15Speaker 4: she's really looking for that. And then when it comes
- 2:17Speaker 4: to Thanksgiving dinner and people are like, so are you
- 2:20Speaker 4: getting married, are you dating?
- 2:21Speaker 2: What are you doing?
- 2:22Speaker 4: And you're just be like I am in my dating
- 2:25Speaker 4: self era, and you can there's nothing wrong with being single,
- 2:32Speaker 4: and there's nothing wrong with.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Taking care of yourself.
- 2:35Speaker 4: And if you just put out all that good energy,
- 2:39Speaker 4: you will be so shocked at what's going to happen,
- 2:43Speaker 4: because that's literally I was like having the worst worst
- 2:46Speaker 4: time of my life, and I was just just like
- 2:49Speaker 4: I'm just gonna do something for myself. Just take time
- 2:52Speaker 4: for myself, and I mess someone great. So take time
- 2:56Speaker 4: for yourself. Self care is real, It's really really real.
- 3:03Speaker 5: Hey, it's your favorite single gal Louise giving you some
- 3:07Speaker 5: advice for surviving the holidays. Typically a tough time when
- 3:12Speaker 5: I was freshly divorced, when the kids were young, it
- 3:15Speaker 5: was tough to get into the holiday spirit. The kids
- 3:17Speaker 5: were out of town for one of the weeks with
- 3:20Speaker 5: their father. I could barely bring myself to put the
- 3:23Speaker 5: Christmas tree up. Then I forced myself to change my lens.
- 3:27Speaker 5: I bought point Settias, and I went to Target and
- 3:30Speaker 5: bought amazing holiday smelling candles, and I would put my
- 3:35Speaker 5: favorite music on and make an amazing vision board of
- 3:39Speaker 5: all the things I was going to manifest in the
- 3:41Speaker 5: new calendar year. And that would put a smile on
- 3:44Speaker 5: my face. And then the kids would come home. And
- 3:47Speaker 5: one of the things that was always front and setter
- 3:50Speaker 5: on my vision board was that the next holiday season,
- 3:53Speaker 5: that I would not be alone, and that I would
- 3:56Speaker 5: be in my chapter two.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Some years i've had that.
- 3:59Speaker 5: Other years it's been me doing my thing with my
- 4:02Speaker 5: friends or my family, and I've learned to get excited
- 4:06Speaker 5: about the holidays and feel very christmasy and open to
- 4:13Speaker 5: what the next calendar year was going to bring.
- 4:15Speaker 2: So happy holidays.
- 4:18Speaker 6: Hey, susannoles here and Kathy Swarts.
- 4:22Speaker 7: And we just want to give you a little tip
- 4:24Speaker 7: for getting through the holidays this year. Just in case you're, say,
- 4:30Speaker 7: bringing home a new guy, be gentle, introduce them to
- 4:34Speaker 7: your family easy, don't shove them in their face. But
- 4:38Speaker 7: if you're alone and you're missing somebody, try to surround
- 4:43Speaker 7: yourself with friends or family if you have any, and
- 4:47Speaker 7: just be kind and be thankful that you're still here.
- 4:51Speaker 6: And my advice to you all is be grateful for
- 4:55Speaker 6: any time you have with your family, Enjoy the memories
- 4:59Speaker 6: that you've had from pa holidays, try to create some
- 5:02Speaker 6: new ones this year. And you know what's the best
- 5:05Speaker 6: recipe for getting through the holidays. Get some exercise.
- 5:09Speaker 7: And you know what else, here's some other advice. It's
- 5:12Speaker 7: okay to go out and go be with friends or
- 5:16Speaker 7: go to a restaurant, to a movie. It doesn't matter
- 5:20Speaker 7: what you do.
- 5:21Speaker 6: And it's okay to sit by yourself and maybe sit
- 5:25Speaker 6: the holiday out, maybe cry, maybe watch a sad movie.
- 5:28Speaker 2: It's okay because.
- 5:30Speaker 6: You know what, there'll always be another holiday and you're
- 5:34Speaker 6: gonna get through this, Just get through it triumphantly the
- 5:37Speaker 6: best way you can.
- 5:38Speaker 7: And it's just one day.
