  Speaker 2: Lord, Father, that art's in heaven, I come to you

  Speaker 2: in prayer to be able to have the Holy Spirit

  Speaker 2: to go through the listener's ears and be able to

  Speaker 2: reach their hearts and minds and be able to apply

  Speaker 2: these verses to their lives. In the Lord Jesus Christ's

  Speaker 1: Amen. So I'm going to have to get a little

  Speaker 2: So 1 Peter chapter 5.

  Speaker 2: So Peter writes to church leaders and young men. Verse

  Speaker 2: 1 states, Now I want to say something to you

  Speaker 2: who are leaders of the groups of believers. Like you,

  Speaker 2: I am also a leader. I myself saw how people caused...

  Speaker 2: Christ to have great pain so that he died one

  Speaker 2: day people will see how great he really is then

  Speaker 1: Instead, do it.

  Speaker 2: Because you want to help people. And I've always been
• 2:48
  Speaker 2: that type of person. Whether it was people pleasing or

  Speaker 2: if I wanted to.

  Speaker 1: Bring encouragement and inspiration.

  Speaker 2: But what I've also learned in the 20 years as

  Speaker 2: a believer, I was not spiritually taught correctly.

  Speaker 1: And learning as I went, as on the go, right?

  Speaker 2: Now that I walk with Christ, it is completely up
• 3:19
  Speaker 2: to me. Because I might be the only glimpse that
• 3:24
  Speaker 2: someone gets to see Of the Father, the Son, and
• 3:28
  Speaker 2: the Holy Spirit that day.

  Speaker 1: So... It's not only....
• 3:34
  Speaker 2: My responsibility... To spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. It's

  Speaker 2: also to be kind.

  Speaker 1: And to.

  Speaker 2: Be considerate of other people's... Feelings, perspective.

  Speaker 1: Dysfunctional family and.

  Speaker 2: an alcoholic as my father, and I am a recovering alcoholic,

  Speaker 2: there has been a lot of times where I have

  Speaker 2: just not been a good son. I was not a

  Speaker 2: good friend. I was not a good co-worker amongst co-workers,

  Speaker 2: no matter what kind of job it was, whether they
• 4:18
  Speaker 2: were believers or non-believers.

  Speaker 1: I just.
• 4:22
  Speaker 2: Had very little tolerance for nonsense and people. But then
• 4:26
  Speaker 2: I became the nonsense. I want to go a little
• 4:29
  Speaker 2: deeper with that. Because I say these things.
• 4:34
  Speaker 1: Out of. Understanding that. All of us fall short of
• 4:41
  Speaker 1: God's standards. All of us. So first Peter. Verse 3,
• 4:55
  Speaker 1: chapter 5. Kind of said that backwards a little bit.

  Speaker 1: God has given you a group of believers to take
• 5:03
  Speaker 1: care of them.
• 5:03
  Speaker 2: Do not try to rule over them with power. Instead,
• 5:08
  Speaker 2: show them how to live in a good way. So
• 5:11
  Speaker 2: that they can copy.
• 5:17
  Speaker 1: You. So, there's leaders. There's Indians. There's Christians. And then
• 5:23
  Speaker 1: there's chiefs. That's what I want to refer to. Do

  Speaker 1: you want to be an Indian or do you want
• 5:28
  Speaker 1: to be a chief?
• 5:30
  Speaker 2: There's a lot of responsibility that comes with being a chief.

  Speaker 2: Being that leader, you have to be a prime example
• 5:39
  Speaker 2: of what to be. Now, being a non-believer is exactly
• 5:44
  Speaker 2: an example of what not to be. And there's a.

  Speaker 1: Lot of people out here like that. And no matter
• 5:51
  Speaker 1: your upbringing, no matter where you are at, that is
• 5:56
  Speaker 1: where you're at. It's up to you what you do

  Speaker 2: There's idle time, right? There's nothing more than Satan and

  Speaker 2: his army that loves more than a lukewarm, a lukewarm believer.

  Speaker 2: A lukewarm follower. Because at the end of the day...

  Speaker 2: We can all be tempted in ways that make us
• 6:27
  Speaker 2: stumble and fall. I am no one. I am a nobody.

  Speaker 2: In the eyes of society. I am also a nobody

  Speaker 2: to a lot of people... That don't matter. So what

  Speaker 2: I really want to get... My point... Across is that.

  Speaker 2: Yes this is my platform. But it is also. A

  Speaker 1: To learn.

  Speaker 2: To be inspired. And hear a little bit about my testimony.

  Speaker 1: If you have a voice. If you have. A testimony.

  Speaker 1: You have made it through a test.

  Speaker 2: I'm going a little bit in preacher mode tonight. Because

  Speaker 2: I believe somebody just pressed play and they need it.

  Speaker 2: You know, there was somebody there for me when I

  Speaker 2: needed it. So all I'm doing is.

  Speaker 1: Repaying the favor. Because this is all favor. God favors me.

  Speaker 1: And I'm not sitting here saying, oh, I'm chosen, right?

  Speaker 1: Because I am chosen, I am better than the believer.

  Speaker 2: No. What makes me chosen is well. It's not that
• 7:51
  Speaker 2: just God picked me. It's because I chose. I picked him.

  Speaker 2: After betraying him. Neglecting my relationship with him. Only talked

  Speaker 1: Christ will give you a beautiful crown.

  Speaker 2: When He appears, this is a great gift that will

  Speaker 2: never become old or less beautiful. He is the greatest
• 8:59
  Speaker 2: shepherd who takes care of us. I want to say

  Speaker 2: the same thing to you who are young men. You

  Speaker 2: must respect the authority of the leaders. All of you
• 9:15
  Speaker 2: who are believers must respect one another. Do not think
• 9:19
  Speaker 2: that you are more important than other people. The Bible

  Speaker 2: says God is against proud people. But he is kind
• 9:27
  Speaker 2: to humble people. Remember that God is strong and powerful.

  Speaker 2: Remember that God is strong and powerful. So be humble
• 9:37
  Speaker 2: in front of him.

  Speaker 1: Where did I leave off? Right there. Then he will lift.

  Speaker 2: I want to make this clear. That life is very simple.

  Speaker 2: We've all made plenty of choices. Plenty of the wrong choices.

  Speaker 1: To be a believer... Transitioning into being a follower... Because

  Speaker 1: you can't be just a follower right away... You first must... Believe...

  Speaker 1: That it is real... Now there will be a lot
• 10:48
  Speaker 1: of things... That will steer you away. From the Holy Spirit.
• 10:55
  Speaker 1: But I. Am a witness.
• 10:59
  Speaker 2: To when you truly let the Holy Spirit take over.

  Speaker 2: That does not mean. That you're a religious leader. And
• 11:07
  Speaker 2: that you are perfect. And that everything is going to change.

  Speaker 1: Right away.

  Speaker 2: And you're going to become a pastor. Or a member
• 11:16
  Speaker 2: of the church. It just means that.
• 11:20
  Speaker 1: When you really accept Jesus Christ as your Lord.
• 11:22
  Speaker 2: And Savior, it really means that you're not alone anymore.
• 11:28
  Speaker 2: Especially when you feel alone and you think alone. Not everybody.

  Speaker 1: Can be alone. That's the reality that we live in.
• 11:47
  Speaker 2: That's... The true identity of Christ. He put others before himself.
• 11:56
  Speaker 2: And I got three minutes and I just kind of
• 11:58
  Speaker 2: want to vent for the rest. I know I normally
• 12:01
  Speaker 2: go to about one to 15 verses every episode. But
• 12:06
  Speaker 2: this one in particular got me a little stirred up
• 12:11
  Speaker 2: in the right way. There's plenty of times to be
• 12:14
  Speaker 2: stirred up in the wrong way that I have witnessed.
• 12:17
  Speaker 2: I've dealt with anger. I've dealt with temper. And that's
• 12:21
  Speaker 2: because it was given to me. It's not that it
• 12:23
  Speaker 2: was something that... Oh, I just picked up off the ground. No,
• 12:27
  Speaker 2: it was handed down.
• 12:29
  Speaker 1: Generations.
• 12:30
  Speaker 2: Generations of jarheads. And that's military for you if you
• 12:34
  Speaker 2: don't know what that means.
• 12:38
  Speaker 1: So being at that... I can be able... To be able....
• 12:48
  Speaker 2: To break generational curses. And not boast about it.
• 12:53
  Speaker 1: Glory to God. And not only have I seen. The promises. And.

  Speaker 1: The miracles come true. With being able to be around
• 13:06
  Speaker 1: my son. See my son.

  Speaker 2: And be around the mother of my child. And not
• 13:12
  Speaker 2: feel completely awkward.
• 13:16
  Speaker 1: And also.
• 13:18
  Speaker 2: Love of my life came into my life as I
• 13:22
  Speaker 2: got closer to the two year mark and even though
• 13:29
  Speaker 2: I'm sweating as I excuse my language but as I
• 13:45
  Speaker 2: continue to walk into this I needed to take.
• 13:50
  Speaker 1: A pause for a second. Because I'm trying to look
• 13:52
  Speaker 1: for my brother. Went a little too far.
• 13:54
  Speaker 2: But what I'm going to do is close it out
• 13:59
  Speaker 2: with this one minute. Don't give up. Don't give up
• 14:04
  Speaker 2: on God. Because God ain't gave up on you. And
• 14:07
  Speaker 2: don't give up on people completely. Because you just never
• 14:10
  Speaker 2: know when that right person is going to walk into
• 14:12
  Speaker 2: your life. When you least expect it to. And I
• 14:16
  Speaker 2: know you have probably heard that. And you're probably tired
• 14:19
  Speaker 2: of hearing that. But I want to remind you that
• 14:23
  Speaker 2: no matter what you're tired of hearing, or no matter
• 14:27
  Speaker 2: what makes you uncomfortable, there is no growth in comfort.
• 14:33
  Speaker 2: There's relaxation for a period of time that can become.
• 14:37
  Speaker 1: Even more boredom. But there is no real growth in comfort.
• 14:47
  Speaker 1: getting out of your comfort zone.
• 14:50
  Speaker 2: Allowing God to be able to do what he does.
• 14:52
  Speaker 2: And I'm just so grateful for the love of my
• 14:55
  Speaker 2: life and the people that are in my life.
