- 0:19Speaker 2: This is the sports shot shop with Wing Gandy.
- 0:23Speaker 4: You may Vegan gig show, Come so far comes it
- 0:32Speaker 4: comes to month?
- 0:33Speaker 5: Is it just.
- 0:37Speaker 6: I'm a doer?
- 0:39Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm gonna go on the way you made pill Vegan.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. I you're listening to the What Shop Show.
- 0:47Speaker 2: I'm the wortshop Wing Gamey, good morning to you on
- 0:51Speaker 2: this beautiful Thursday, uh Thursday night football Football Vikings Rams tonight,
- 0:59Speaker 2: just another quick game right in front of you. The
- 1:02Speaker 2: Rams look like they might be shopping Cooper Cup. We'll
- 1:06Speaker 2: talk about all the activity with the receivers. It has
- 1:10Speaker 2: been in the first half of the year, the storyline.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Quietly nobody's discussed how many receivers have been hurt out
- 1:20Speaker 2: and now we start seeing a lot of guys being traded.
- 1:24Speaker 2: But Thursday night football Minnesota taking their first loss live
- 1:28Speaker 2: week to Detroit. If I remember that game correctly, that's
- 1:33Speaker 2: who they lost too. That was their first loss. And
- 1:36Speaker 2: the Rams, who seem like maybe they're taking the course
- 1:40Speaker 2: of preparing for next year. Game one tomorrow night, the
- 1:47Speaker 2: Yankees invading LA for Game one of the World Series.
- 1:52Speaker 2: I wish they would have started this Tuesday. I just
- 1:57Speaker 2: like the warmest weather you can get for baseball. We've
- 2:02Speaker 2: seen in recent years, these baseball games they get caught
- 2:06Speaker 2: right here in this next week, especially when they go
- 2:09Speaker 2: over to New York where they're out there at night,
- 2:13Speaker 2: and it's remember these games start seven thirty eight o'clock
- 2:16Speaker 2: at night. Now it's forty two degrees. That's a lot
- 2:20Speaker 2: the ass of a baseball player in those kind of conditions.
- 2:24Speaker 2: So that's why when you're asking me, you know, as
- 2:27Speaker 2: soon as you can get into it, give them two
- 2:29Speaker 2: days off just to try to catch as much warm weather.
- 2:32Speaker 2: And I'm quite sure that's what the players have on
- 2:34Speaker 2: their mind too, especially with these two teams who play outside.
- 2:39Speaker 2: You know, you'll look at LA, which will still be breezy,
- 2:44Speaker 2: so you can't take that away Tomorrow night either. It
- 2:46Speaker 2: could be a nice crisp fifty degrees to a little
- 2:51Speaker 2: breeze coming off the ocean. If you haven't been out there,
- 2:54Speaker 2: make sure you take a top with you when you
- 2:56Speaker 2: go to the rams and charge your games rams the rams.
- 3:01Speaker 2: New arena out there is kind of semi open, but
- 3:07Speaker 2: that ocean breeze, even the fog off the ocean of you.
- 3:11Speaker 2: If the games at night, it comes into the arena
- 3:14Speaker 2: and the temperature drops. So I was just hoping they
- 3:17Speaker 2: would have started a couple of days earlier to make
- 3:19Speaker 2: sure the warmest temperature, even if I wouldn't be you know,
- 3:24Speaker 2: I'm the Major League Players Association. Hey maybe we could
- 3:28Speaker 2: start one of these two of these in the daytime,
- 3:31Speaker 2: catch the little suns, you know, those kind of games.
- 3:34Speaker 2: I mean, this is New America, and I think television
- 3:38Speaker 2: definitely has to start adjusting to the new America. When
- 3:41Speaker 2: I say a new America, it is the new American
- 3:47Speaker 2: will do whatever it takes to watch the game. It's
- 3:52Speaker 2: not the old days where Granddaddy and Grandpa they were
- 3:55Speaker 2: not going to take off work. They were not going
- 3:58Speaker 2: to shorten their shift to where you had to make
- 4:01Speaker 2: sure after five the activity started. You can tell the
- 4:05Speaker 2: new American anything starts at any time, and they'll find
- 4:08Speaker 2: a way to watch it, whether it's downloaded on their phone.
- 4:13Speaker 2: People sitting at the desk and watching it. You know,
- 4:16Speaker 2: you know they keep setting the times like, Okay, we're
- 4:18Speaker 2: gonna wait for everybody get off work and then get home.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Now started when you want to start it. We know
- 4:24Speaker 2: that with the Olympics, people will stay up all night.
- 4:29Speaker 2: They don't care about working tomorrow. They'll stay up an
- 4:32Speaker 2: hour before work and then just go to work, have
- 4:36Speaker 2: no sleep because they want to watch whatever. So even
- 4:40Speaker 2: things like the movies, people go to the movies in
- 4:42Speaker 2: the daytime. Now you don't wait around till seven o'clock
- 4:45Speaker 2: at night or a weekend or weekend to go to
- 4:48Speaker 2: the movie. They go to the movies whenever they feel
- 4:50Speaker 2: like it. So Baseball, Major League World Series tickets even
- 4:56Speaker 2: in the upper decks are going for about a thousand
- 5:00Speaker 2: dollars of game. So Nepo babies, we got to talk
- 5:05Speaker 2: about that. It happened, Brunnie Lebron, happened out in La
- 5:12Speaker 2: checked in together. We'll talk about that. We'll save that
- 5:14Speaker 2: for another segment here a little later in the show.
- 5:18Speaker 2: But I wanted to talk to my crew who is
- 5:21Speaker 2: fully engaged here today. Bad producers in the building reppering
- 5:27Speaker 2: the north today. As you know, he is a turncoat now, Benedict, Benedict,
- 5:32Speaker 2: bad producer, is what he is. It goes back and forth.
- 5:36Speaker 2: One day he's above the Mason Dixon, then there is
- 5:39Speaker 2: no Maxing Dixon, and then there is again, and he's
- 5:43Speaker 2: in the South. So yeah, he fluctuates. Command you Greg
- 5:45Speaker 2: and his Oklahoma Sooner. That's why he's been quiet this season.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Bring the Sooners and the Cowboys. He's just really not
- 5:52Speaker 2: really filling life the way he typically has been. I'm
- 5:56Speaker 2: not a Singers fan, though, Hey, oh yeah, you're a
- 5:59Speaker 2: similar which is the same he's an FSU fan, so
- 6:08Speaker 2: you're right there with me. As far as college, we
- 6:10Speaker 2: were like two and four or something like that. As well,
- 6:14Speaker 2: three and five we were not doing good on the
- 6:16Speaker 2: planes of Auburn. They were even writing an article about
- 6:20Speaker 2: that and Gus not Gus but Hugh Furies and Auburn
- 6:27Speaker 2: ability to let him go after the season. Uh, they
- 6:30Speaker 2: did do something in his contract, whereas buyout would be
- 6:34Speaker 2: a little more digestible in some of the recent buyouts
- 6:38Speaker 2: that we've seen across college football. And Big Kenny the
- 6:42Speaker 2: funny man himself. So other miss uh, they are one
- 6:47Speaker 2: and seven, they fired their coach, orphaned, the Jets are
- 6:51Speaker 2: two and four were.
- 6:56Speaker 8: Like Foster care and their coach. We just wait, Can
- 7:01Speaker 8: I have a dollar? I have a Chris dollar? Yes,
- 7:05Speaker 8: right now?
- 7:06Speaker 2: Hands off the computer, no, hands on if you can
- 7:09Speaker 2: tell me the name of the Jets coach, the.
- 7:12Speaker 7: Name of the Jets coach and see I need that
- 7:15Speaker 7: dollar too, And I ain't just like the Jets.
- 7:17Speaker 2: I'm two and seven right now. I know the head coach.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Who did they promote to the head coach? The guy
- 7:24Speaker 2: after Robert solom Which is?
- 7:28Speaker 7: Which is no? Which is technically correct?
- 7:30Speaker 2: Am I right? Technically correct? So run me my coins. Listen, listen,
- 7:35Speaker 2: I want to ask you something, really to hire. Who's
- 7:39Speaker 2: the head coach of Southern mess the interim guy? Listen,
- 7:45Speaker 2: we don't get to know them. They don't stick around long.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Ain't no sense in getting personal with these people.
- 7:50Speaker 7: You think I'm gonna learn his name and then next
- 7:52Speaker 7: week be getting another little trivia question.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Let me ask you about this.
- 7:57Speaker 7: With the World Series, though you said that baseball is
- 7:59Speaker 7: now getting at night, you can have those culture temperatures
- 8:03Speaker 7: in football that's seen as an advantage. Open air stadium
- 8:08Speaker 7: you coming from the West coast, we got you is
- 8:11Speaker 7: because of the level of activity or lack of Does
- 8:14Speaker 7: it not seem like an advantage in baseball because maybe
- 8:17Speaker 7: the Yankees are thinking, yeah, come get some of this Dodgers.
- 8:20Speaker 7: You know, we've played in thirty seven degrees forty three
- 8:25Speaker 7: degree baseball weather.
- 8:26Speaker 9: You haven't. So but it's not the same.
- 8:29Speaker 2: I don't think it's the same from the standpoint of
- 8:33Speaker 2: I don't know that even in baseball, you're just standing
- 8:36Speaker 2: out there getting cold, lack of activity. Lack of activity,
- 8:40Speaker 2: you know, you're not consistently moving. Sure, you could have
- 8:44Speaker 2: an advantage as far as, like you're saying, just the
- 8:48Speaker 2: natural distraction you used to the cold more than you
- 8:51Speaker 2: But as far as the game itself when you're always
- 8:55Speaker 2: trying to present the best product, yes, because even in
- 8:59Speaker 2: a football game, you don't want it to rain. You know.
- 9:02Speaker 2: That's why that super Bowl, when they hosted in a
- 9:04Speaker 2: lot of these places, like we were talking about with Cleveland,
- 9:07Speaker 2: they would go build uh a dome it would be
- 9:11Speaker 2: to be able to get the Super Bowl, because the
- 9:13Speaker 2: Super Bowl has always tried to either be in a
- 9:15Speaker 2: dome or a warm weather states. That's why that's why
- 9:19Speaker 2: it's always in California, always in Arizona, the Dome in
- 9:23Speaker 2: New Orleans, where it goes to Florida. It's just recently
- 9:27Speaker 2: over the last decade they've even experimented with I think
- 9:32Speaker 2: that I think that time Detroit to Detroit when would
- 9:36Speaker 2: have been like bettest last year and they want I
- 9:40Speaker 2: think that was like the first time they ever even
- 9:42Speaker 2: tried a northern city.
- 9:44Speaker 10: Well Minneapolis, Minnesota first opened a super dome. Washington the
- 9:51Speaker 10: bet they beat the Raters the Raiders. Yeah, but I'm
- 9:57Speaker 10: just saying they've tried that experience with like you said,
- 10:00Speaker 10: and then they did the open air in New York.
- 10:02Speaker 10: A lot of people's wondering when they went to New
- 10:04Speaker 10: York that time was like how that was.
- 10:06Speaker 2: They just started venturing into these type temperatures.
- 10:09Speaker 7: And you said, the tickets, even in the upper areas
- 10:12Speaker 7: are a thousand dollars. To be sitting there in you know,
- 10:15Speaker 7: covered face with scarves and big heavy hats and gloves
- 10:18Speaker 7: and stuff, doesn't seem like a welcoming World Series experience,
- 10:23Speaker 7: you know what I mean?
- 10:24Speaker 2: Yeah, you want the most out of it. It's like
- 10:27Speaker 2: the Super Bowl was here. I want to say that
- 10:30Speaker 2: ninety nine or two thousand years. Remember we had the
- 10:34Speaker 2: snow and the ice and a lot of things were
- 10:38Speaker 2: shut down, and even when you have it in northern places,
- 10:42Speaker 2: the fans are not necessarily motivated to go spend four
- 10:47Speaker 2: or five days in cold in the cold weather and
- 10:51Speaker 2: navigate that kind of temperature. That's why it's always been
- 10:54Speaker 2: in Miami, Tampa, lay places where people would want to go.
- 11:01Speaker 2: It's kind of like how the Raiders are winning right now. Yeah,
- 11:04Speaker 2: they're winning from the standpoint that when you watch your game,
- 11:07Speaker 2: it's a big contingency of the visiting team because people
- 11:11Speaker 2: just waiting on an excuse to go to be bankers.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Right So now you've given me a real excuse and
- 11:17Speaker 2: I guess the game at while I'm there too.
- 11:20Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 11:21Speaker 2: So it's just one of those things. But big show
- 11:23Speaker 2: for you today, Big weekend of Sports will be back
- 11:26Speaker 2: with more of the Sports Shocks show. Right after this
- 11:29Speaker 2: old man start.

- 14:36Speaker 7: Taken it to a completely different level.
- 14:38Speaker 4: This year where we highlight an appolte that has taken
- 14:41Speaker 4: their game to the next level.
- 14:47Speaker 15: Yeah, Yeah, Halloween, Taliban, Talibert, Yeah, jump Man John May
- 14:59Speaker 15: John And it was not the Southern They just spell
- 15:03Speaker 15: like to over three ways out of the country.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Wait back to the Sportshock Show. I'm the Sportshock win
- 15:08Speaker 2: getting a good morning to you now or the Sportshock.
- 15:11Speaker 2: As you know, I've never experienced incarceration. I've had a
- 15:17Speaker 2: long history of knowledge of it, but never experienced it personally.
- 15:21Speaker 2: So my references of it comes from just living and
- 15:26Speaker 2: life in those kind of situations. But what I would
- 15:32Speaker 2: imagine about the life in prison or the thought of
- 15:39Speaker 2: going to jail is it wouldn't be something you would
- 15:44Speaker 2: be necessarily happy about. And that brings me to Glenn
- 15:49Speaker 2: Big Baby Davis. Big Baby's ready to do his forty
- 15:53Speaker 2: months and he's so happy now forty months as I
- 15:57Speaker 2: do the math is three years and four months out.
- 16:02Speaker 2: And from what I've learned, and this is a federal
- 16:05Speaker 2: as well, hold on, let me catch my brother. So
- 16:09Speaker 2: even a good release would be about three years and
- 16:13Speaker 2: they might give him the four months of credit. Is
- 16:15Speaker 2: that how it would work? Guys from take.
- 16:18Speaker 16: Drug programs get some diploma, hey, you know they might
- 16:24Speaker 16: save up The Big Baby decided to make sure his
- 16:29Speaker 16: followers or Instagram because you know, that's what's key when
- 16:32Speaker 16: you're about to go to federal prison.
- 16:34Speaker 2: I would imagine you wanna let your Instagram followers know,
- 16:39Speaker 2: you know, send them a peace sign, tell them to
- 16:41Speaker 2: keep their head.
- 16:42Speaker 7: Upright because you're gonna go do your ten toes down.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Yes, why does Big Baby seem to be gleefully going
- 16:49Speaker 2: to prison?
- 16:51Speaker 5: Now?
- 16:51Speaker 2: This is all from the crime forty month sentence he
- 16:56Speaker 2: was hit with earlier this year for his rolling the
- 16:58Speaker 2: scheme that defrauded the NBA's player health and benefit welfare plan.
- 17:06Speaker 2: We've talked about this for numerous years now, from football
- 17:11Speaker 2: and basketball. Where the players got with I don't know
- 17:17Speaker 2: if it was the same agent or same advisor. They
- 17:22Speaker 2: all tried to run a scheme and get different levels
- 17:25Speaker 2: of money by basically fraud saying they bought purchase certain
- 17:32Speaker 2: equipment or they went to certain doctors for stratch or
- 17:38Speaker 2: chiropractice where and they did not and got the money
- 17:41Speaker 2: from it. But what I stock out with this, since
- 17:45Speaker 2: Big Baby was sentenced, and even up until the other
- 17:48Speaker 2: day where he sent this Instagram out, I just wasn't sure,
- 17:52Speaker 2: even making comments like he's going to get his body together.
- 18:00Speaker 2: But why does he seem so this is uh? Is
- 18:05Speaker 2: this just him putting on in.
- 18:07Speaker 7: The stages of grief one of them's denial. I think
- 18:10Speaker 7: that's where he is right now. I went from Big
- 18:14Speaker 7: Baby Davis. They didn't call me Big Baby Davis because
- 18:17Speaker 7: I was putting so much baby powder on the street.
- 18:21Speaker 9: You know what I'm saying.
- 18:22Speaker 7: This wasn't the life he had chosen for himself. This
- 18:25Speaker 7: wasn't a path that he would have imagined when he
- 18:28Speaker 7: was getting drafted into the NBA. And now here you
- 18:31Speaker 7: find yourself. The reality of your life is you've squandered
- 18:35Speaker 7: your opportunities. You look goofy, you look super goofy that
- 18:39Speaker 7: you went off and made tens of millions of dollars.
- 18:42Speaker 7: And now I mean he was all on planes with
- 18:45Speaker 7: chicken and briefcases.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Full of money. He was the Popeyes, right.
- 18:50Speaker 7: Yeah, and now you're going to fade, not just you're
- 18:53Speaker 7: not just getting arrested. I mean, you know Mahome's daddy
- 18:57Speaker 7: getting you know what I'm saying, what was uh, the
- 19:00Speaker 7: guy used to play for the Bears, JJ Cutler just
- 19:06Speaker 7: got pulled over duy kind of thing.
- 19:09Speaker 2: It's not like that.
- 19:10Speaker 7: You actually got caught up in a scheme and going
- 19:13Speaker 7: to federal prison. And so now you want to look cool.
- 19:16Speaker 2: He's on his way to the Luth the FPC and Duluth,
- 19:21Speaker 2: which is in Minnesota, is where he will be his
- 19:23Speaker 2: forty months. Go ahead, bad producer. No, I was gonna
- 19:26Speaker 2: say that it was delayed.
- 19:28Speaker 10: He supposed to have started the federal sentence earlier, but
- 19:31Speaker 10: it was delayed so he could finish his documentary that
- 19:34Speaker 10: he's been shooting. So I can imagine some of that
- 19:36Speaker 10: footage before he was going in for the see and see.
- 19:39Speaker 10: And that's that's I got a problem with that. This
- 19:42Speaker 10: Instagram thing you never see that documentary was this was
- 19:46Speaker 10: just recent I know.
- 19:48Speaker 6: Know.
- 19:48Speaker 10: All I'm saying is that he was supposed to go
- 19:52Speaker 10: in earlier for this, uh, to start the sentence, but
- 19:55Speaker 10: it got delayed. He actually asked for Kenny Starlett later
- 19:58Speaker 10: so he could finish the document entry with him doing
- 20:01Speaker 10: this social media thing, thinking part of all this is
- 20:04Speaker 10: part of the documentary or film and you know, just
- 20:08Speaker 10: some more footage before he goes in.
- 20:09Speaker 2: So here, what about his documentary? Do I want to watch?
- 20:12Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying?
- 20:13Speaker 7: Where was that energy when you was committing fraud? You
- 20:16Speaker 7: could have put some of that? What would you did,
- 20:18Speaker 7: mister Fieldmaker? It's like everybody go to prison, want to
- 20:21Speaker 7: be Muslim, want to come out safe. You could have
- 20:22Speaker 7: found Jesus on the street. Jesus live out here too.
- 20:26Speaker 7: I mean, you know, I'm not for sure. A big
- 20:28Speaker 7: Baby was a story. He made that run.
- 20:30Speaker 10: He became a lovable character in the NCAA tournament that
- 20:33Speaker 10: when they remember when Lsu made that run. So we've
- 20:37Speaker 10: been and then he went to the Celtics and was
- 20:39Speaker 10: fortunate enough to be on a good team with Garnett
- 20:42Speaker 10: and Rondo and.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Paul Pierce.
- 20:46Speaker 7: So, I mean, and the documentary isn't about any of
- 20:50Speaker 7: those positive things. It's about how he blew all of
- 20:53Speaker 7: that trying to get extra money from a scam and
- 20:58Speaker 7: what I'm saying is, again, Big Baby, if you're trying
- 21:03Speaker 7: to encourage children, maybe let's go a different direction.
- 21:07Speaker 2: And let's understand what the scam was centered around. It
- 21:11Speaker 2: was funds that are put aside by the leagues to
- 21:16Speaker 2: help you actually with your post game health. So it's
- 21:25Speaker 2: not even a positive crime.
- 21:30Speaker 7: You aren't sticking it to the man.
- 21:31Speaker 2: You were stealing your money. So they're putting this half
- 21:35Speaker 2: million dollars away. I'm just giving out a figure that
- 21:40Speaker 2: you can have resources to pay for stuff as you live,
- 21:45Speaker 2: and you go and find a scheme to get the
- 21:48Speaker 2: money out of it without the services, and some.
- 21:52Speaker 7: Of them dudes really need those services. Man, have you
- 21:55Speaker 7: ever seen somebody whose mobility is diminished like people you see?
- 22:01Speaker 7: You haven't seen the abilitated person.
- 22:03Speaker 2: I don't even want to say that.
- 22:04Speaker 7: And I'm just saying that you out here and you
- 22:06Speaker 7: out here on a on a plane with Popeyes, Chicken
- 22:10Speaker 7: and a briefcase full of money as.
- 22:11Speaker 2: You playing gon do your four years? Man, Big Baby
- 22:15Speaker 2: Davis Minnesota forty months. So we have to talk about him.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Maybe he's a documentary that can you do that in prison?
- 22:23Speaker 2: Talk about getting this body together?
- 22:25Speaker 10: I bet you don't know if you get a cell phone,
- 22:27Speaker 10: if you get a book, if you sneak yourself, you.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Ain't got sneak.
- 22:30Speaker 7: No cell phones in the fed somebody just walking through
- 22:33Speaker 7: the dope food will be back right after this.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Control.

- 23:02Speaker 17: what texting while driving is like. Your human brain only
- 23:04Speaker 17: has the capacity to focus on one thing at a time,

- 25:04Speaker 2: the Rado.
- 25:05Speaker 19: So we'll go over you you se derooded so much
- 25:19Speaker 19: time to tell you and then I lost my mind.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Back to this boy shock shower, this boy shock wing
- 25:30Speaker 2: and d as we talked about. One of the big
- 25:32Speaker 2: moments that everybody was anticipating for the NBA season was
- 25:37Speaker 2: when would they see Lebron James and Bernnie James in
- 25:40Speaker 2: the game at the same time. The Laker organization doing
- 25:44Speaker 2: it in a classy way, which I thought was best
- 25:50Speaker 2: and now things can move on. They they were at home,
- 25:55Speaker 2: it was Opening night, the powers that be, the owner,
- 26:00Speaker 2: the Bush family and JJ Reddick Lebron like they had
- 26:04Speaker 2: a plan of how this was going to happen. Lebron
- 26:09Speaker 2: checked out when he got to come back in in
- 26:11Speaker 2: that second quarter. The Lakers were up playing in a
- 26:14Speaker 2: nice little groove there. They decided to check Lebron and
- 26:19Speaker 2: his son Brunnie into the game at the same time.
- 26:23Speaker 2: They played about three minutes together, Lebron even passing the
- 26:28Speaker 2: ball on a three took a shot. It was made
- 26:33Speaker 2: for a movie like Hollywood Goals. The Lakers went on
- 26:37Speaker 2: and won the game as well against Minnesota. This was
- 26:40Speaker 2: all Tuesday Night, so the dream of the two of
- 26:44Speaker 2: them coming in the game playing together is out of
- 26:47Speaker 2: the way. This could have been, as we talked about
- 26:49Speaker 2: last show, while the Lakers went on and put him
- 26:52Speaker 2: on the regular roster to kind of check off some
- 26:57Speaker 2: of the boxes. Lebron James was picked fifty to fifth
- 27:01Speaker 2: in the draft last year out of USC, just came
- 27:06Speaker 2: up right before he played at USC, had a heart issue,
- 27:10Speaker 2: was able to come back play a little bit last
- 27:12Speaker 2: year for USC, decided to move on and get drafted
- 27:15Speaker 2: in the second round. The Lakers took him, and the
- 27:18Speaker 2: dream story of what Lebron and his son decided maybe
- 27:24Speaker 2: years ago of playing together happened. Lebron's in his twenty
- 27:28Speaker 2: second year time Vince Carter for the longest tenure of
- 27:33Speaker 2: anybody to be in the NBA. Now, all this happened,
- 27:37Speaker 2: and then what we call social media and the haters
- 27:45Speaker 2: came out. Then the term NEPO baby once again. I
- 27:52Speaker 2: talked about this early in the year. What is a
- 27:54Speaker 2: NEPO baby. I still don't get it. And for you
- 27:58Speaker 2: people that keep using that term, you might want to
- 28:01Speaker 2: get your life in order, because what you're basing this
- 28:05Speaker 2: nepotism on is the way of the world from the
- 28:08Speaker 2: beginning of time. That's why you go and create a company.
- 28:15Speaker 2: Who are you going to pass your company to? Who
- 28:19Speaker 2: are you hoping to when you have a company, when
- 28:22Speaker 2: you have a craft, when you have a skill set,
- 28:28Speaker 2: Most people, regardless of whether you know it or not,
- 28:31Speaker 2: they have tried to venture, especially somewhere in the world
- 28:34Speaker 2: of sport, hoping that they can pass their knowledge and
- 28:39Speaker 2: their greatness and the opportunities they have on to their
- 28:44Speaker 2: son or daughter. But we now, if we villainize it,
- 28:52Speaker 2: if I help those that I know, now you want
- 28:56Speaker 2: to label them a nepo baby. You want to tear
- 29:03Speaker 2: at this? What was wrong with this? You like the
- 29:07Speaker 2: spectacle anyway, You don't like the actual game. You love
- 29:13Speaker 2: the spectacle of the game. You love to see who's
- 29:17Speaker 2: at the game, what musical act is performing at halftime.
- 29:22Speaker 2: That's why Gucci Man could be at the Hawks game
- 29:24Speaker 2: last night in a pink wife beat him fifty years old,
- 29:34Speaker 2: fourteen kids like he just got off the bench press.
- 29:40Speaker 2: I love that he's keeping his body, so I can't
- 29:41Speaker 2: hate on him. Maybe that's what Glenn Baby Big Davy
- 29:44Speaker 2: Davis gonna do when he gets in there. But I'm
- 29:46Speaker 2: just saying that's what you like too much. How many
- 29:50Speaker 2: times have I said here and said that most people
- 29:53Speaker 2: don't even want to win if it doesn't come with
- 29:56Speaker 2: the spectacle. You said the Spurs under Tim Duncan was boring,
- 30:03Speaker 2: so you don't credit how great those teams are. The
- 30:06Speaker 2: Patriots were boring. You take your ass back with Carl
- 30:12Speaker 2: Malone and John they were boring. You want the dunk,
- 30:17Speaker 2: you don't like the layup. You like the deep three.
- 30:24Speaker 9: Downtown, not the.
- 30:28Speaker 2: Rick Hamilton. Y'all don't like Rich Hamilton no more. Remember
- 30:31Speaker 2: old Rip Hamilton from Detroit, the master of the two.
- 30:35Speaker 2: You come, just pull it up, Damar DeRozan. It's the
- 30:38Speaker 2: same way. They just intermediate shot. We don't like that.
- 30:43Speaker 2: We wanted from the low goal. That's what we like.
- 30:50Speaker 2: So now why is it when the Lakers give you
- 30:54Speaker 2: the spectacle? Commandie Big Kenny, bad producer. Now all of
- 30:59Speaker 2: a sudden it's a bad thing.
- 31:01Speaker 7: Well, we wanted the spectacle, but we want to spectacle.
- 31:05Speaker 7: Spectacle See that's what I'm saying. You thought we wanted
- 31:07Speaker 7: to spectacle spectacle, We just want the regular spectacle.
- 31:11Speaker 20: Brouh.
- 31:11Speaker 7: I mean because now I got the question, why uh,
- 31:14Speaker 7: my son and me ain't in the NBA. Now, the
- 31:17Speaker 7: fact of the matter is I'm uh an area manager
- 31:21Speaker 7: for a sub shop. So maybe that's why me and
- 31:26Speaker 7: my son and now my son got a franchise store
- 31:29Speaker 7: that he managed. But we supposed to be in the NBA.
- 31:32Speaker 7: And because we ain't in the NBA that that ain't
- 31:35Speaker 7: how you do it. You ain't supposed to put your
- 31:37Speaker 7: kids in position. My son had to work his way
- 31:40Speaker 7: into his managing.
- 31:41Speaker 2: His two stores. Well, it was a good thing.
- 31:44Speaker 10: Like you said that they went on and got it
- 31:46Speaker 10: out of the way because of the fact that you
- 31:50Speaker 10: could go ahead and don't have to worry about the
- 31:52Speaker 10: media everybody, Oh, when is gonna happen?
- 31:54Speaker 2: When it's gonna happen? When when it happened? So that
- 31:57Speaker 2: was the that was that was the That was a
- 31:59Speaker 2: good thing. And smart on the Lakers.
- 32:02Speaker 10: And and I don't know who made the call, Jay,
- 32:04Speaker 10: if it was JJ or Lebron or whoever, but at
- 32:08Speaker 10: this time early you got it knocked out. And I
- 32:11Speaker 10: know a lot of people on social media was when
- 32:12Speaker 10: you say they were talking about the lottery pick Rob Dillingham,
- 32:16Speaker 10: he didn't even see any time. So a lot of
- 32:18Speaker 10: people were like, I thought that was quote unquote, how
- 32:23Speaker 10: can the first lottery pick, like you said, a lottery
- 32:25Speaker 10: pick not see any time?
- 32:27Speaker 2: But because Rob Dillingham didn't allow me to juice the
- 32:31Speaker 2: tickets three percent, Well, and I'm just Joe. I'm trying
- 32:36Speaker 2: to tell you what really goes on in sports juice tickets.
- 32:41Speaker 2: I'm still I'm building in business. Come on, man, I
- 32:44Speaker 2: gotta give the people in the front row what they
- 32:46Speaker 2: came to see. I'm gonna let my fans see it
- 32:49Speaker 2: before I let anybody see it.
- 32:51Speaker 6: Yeah, that's smart.
- 32:54Speaker 2: Nike already got the commercial wasting them fruity pebbles.
- 32:58Speaker 9: Don't release it. Don't release it yet. He let us get.
- 33:03Speaker 2: Braun was pranking him. I gotta get the backdrop. This
- 33:06Speaker 2: is a magical moment. I'm not gonna let it happen
- 33:09Speaker 2: in Denver, right, Nah, Lake, we don't want nothing happen
- 33:16Speaker 2: in depth.
- 33:16Speaker 7: Well, this is the thing that I think is interesting
- 33:20Speaker 7: about NEPO baby. It only it only gets mentioned people
- 33:24Speaker 7: only getting their feelings about it. When it comes to
- 33:27Speaker 7: entertainment in sports, when you see someone who's successful in entertainment, uh,
- 33:33Speaker 7: Bryce Dallas Howard get put into a movie and become successful.
- 33:37Speaker 9: It's oh man, their father's Ron Howard. It's it's nepotism.
- 33:40Speaker 7: But we've seen presidents give their sons and brothers and
- 33:45Speaker 7: daughters cabinet positions and nobody says anything. He was on
- 33:49Speaker 7: TikTok yesterday and now you the head of national security
- 33:53Speaker 7: just because your daddy is the president.
- 33:56Speaker 10: And ain't nobody screaming. James Vonder wasn't Harry Fonder, but
- 33:59Speaker 10: she got a lot of rough and a lot of
- 34:01Speaker 10: those things.
- 34:02Speaker 7: There are CEOs of multi billion dollar conglomerates and their
- 34:07Speaker 7: children run arms. They're sitting on the board and they've
- 34:11Speaker 7: never done business for themselves. It's the way of the
- 34:14Speaker 7: American world now, a lot of other countries, whatever.
- 34:18Speaker 9: You want to call it. Everybody does it all over
- 34:21Speaker 9: the world.
- 34:21Speaker 2: We're not trust fund babies. I'm there none of that stuff. No,
- 34:25Speaker 2: I'm just saying they are people's children. That's it. That's it,
- 34:29Speaker 2: And what you're supposed to do with your life is
- 34:31Speaker 2: manifest something, right, that you can offer to your lineage.
- 34:38Speaker 2: You might not be offered it to your daughter. Maybe
- 34:40Speaker 2: it has to be your grandson. But that's what you're
- 34:43Speaker 2: supposed to be doing with your life. Restaurants pass it down, Yes,
- 34:51Speaker 2: they passed the recipe down until one of them get
- 34:54Speaker 2: greedy and want to sell the recipe to Corporate America
- 34:58Speaker 2: and then they go out of business.
- 35:00Speaker 7: All right, right, but until then we the city's best.
- 35:04Speaker 9: Baklever.
- 35:05Speaker 2: I just thought it was a great moment that Lebron
- 35:08Speaker 2: and Brnnie got to play, just from the aspect that
- 35:12Speaker 2: Bronnie would have lebron would have been nineteen when he
- 35:16Speaker 2: had this young man. Yeah, because he's twenty years old
- 35:20Speaker 2: than him. So Lebronnie is twenty, Lebron is thirty nine,
- 35:23Speaker 2: about to be forty. It was a great moment. It
- 35:26Speaker 2: didn't hurt anybody. Everybody keep talking about what they gave
- 35:30Speaker 2: Brinnie a little more money than the last year. Second,
- 35:32Speaker 2: because Brunnie is going to make their G League team money.
- 35:38Speaker 2: He's making them money with the James Junior jersey. Please people, people,
- 35:44Speaker 2: I keep telling you ninety nine percent of the guys
- 35:47Speaker 2: that get paid shouldn't be getting paid because you don't
- 35:51Speaker 2: sell tickets. There's only two or three people that just
- 35:56Speaker 2: sell out the arena. And because they're coming about it,
- 36:00Speaker 2: they come to see Steph Curry. Nobody come to see
- 36:03Speaker 2: They don't come to see Jayleen Brown. No, no, no,
- 36:07Speaker 2: but he makes the same money or more than those guys.
- 36:10Speaker 2: But they know who comes to see You don't ever
- 36:13Speaker 2: hear that at the barber shop. Hey man, you know
- 36:15Speaker 2: Jayleen Brown in town tonight? They got nothing Brown. He's
- 36:19Speaker 2: a great player, but he's not an arena filler. Now
- 36:24Speaker 2: his team is on Austin. That lucky for him, good
- 36:29Speaker 2: for him. But you can send Lebron to the at
- 36:37Speaker 2: the stadium fell up and they'll come see.
- 36:39Speaker 9: They'll juice the tickets too.
- 36:41Speaker 2: And seventy percent of them come just to see him. Fail.
- 36:45Speaker 7: He come here and they used the tickets and he
- 36:47Speaker 7: know that he play for us and with.
- 36:50Speaker 2: Me back more than Sports Jock shows right after this,
- 36:53Speaker 2: tread Tumkins.
- 36:54Speaker 15: So you're like, I'm Jay Cole. I can tell that
- 36:57Speaker 15: head good before I even know.
- 37:00Speaker 7: Don't tell me that you matter if you.
- 37:01Speaker 6: Ain't been involved.
- 37:03Speaker 7: Got a thole party for me.

- 37:13Speaker 6: The future depends on teachers.
- 37:16Speaker 21: Every day, teachers are shaping our tomorrows, starting their students
- 37:21Speaker 21: on journeys that will change the course of history. Right now,
- 37:25Speaker 21: in a classroom somewhere in the United States, there's a
- 37:28Speaker 21: teacher inspiring a future scientist who'll make preventing pandemics their
- 37:32Speaker 21: life's work, sharpening the mind of an aspiring environmentalist who'll
- 37:36Speaker 21: help come back climate change, and generating possibilities for a
- 37:40Speaker 21: student who'll be the first in their family to graduate college.
- 37:44Speaker 21: It all starts with teachers who meet challenges with creativity,
- 37:48Speaker 21: who reinvent education for the future, who work towards a
- 37:52Speaker 21: school system that lives up every child, regardless of race, income,
- 37:56Speaker 21: or zip code, and to enable the full potential of
- 37:59Speaker 21: our students, our communities, and our country. Explore a career

- 38:19Speaker 6: one question for the veterans listening.
- 38:22Speaker 2: When is the last time you reached out for help.
- 38:26Speaker 14: If you or someone you know needs resources, whether it's

- 38:43Speaker 22: Hi.
- 38:43Speaker 23: I'm Ryan Blaney, a third generation race car driver, and
- 38:46Speaker 23: we dedicate a lot of our time to going as
- 38:47Speaker 23: fast as possible. My grandpa Lose the reason why my
- 38:50Speaker 23: dad and I started racing, and I'm really proud to
- 38:52Speaker 23: follow on his tracks. But when my grandpa was diagnosed
- 38:55Speaker 23: with Alzheimer's, it was a very unexpected bump in the
- 38:57Speaker 23: road for us. I've learned a lot on this journey
- 38:59Speaker 23: with my grandpa Loo, and the memories of my grandpa
- 39:02Speaker 23: will always be with me. It's important to notice if
- 39:04Speaker 23: older family members are acting differently, experiencing problems with their memory,
- 39:08Speaker 23: or having trouble with routine tasks. Talking about Alzheimer's can
- 39:11Speaker 23: be really tough, but if you notice something, have a
- 39:13Speaker 23: conversation with your loved one, encourage them to see a
- 39:15Speaker 23: doctor or offer to go with them. Early detection of

- 39:46Speaker 8: And now back to the sports job. Wayne Gandy's London
- 40:10Speaker 8: say you don't can see a sports chaint, I'll sing even.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Jenny, welcome back to this wy Shock show. I'm the
- 40:19Speaker 2: sport shock wing can te guys. We were just talking
- 40:21Speaker 2: about I know, I just it's a subject that has
- 40:25Speaker 2: hit me so many times because I don't grasp it
- 40:31Speaker 2: and I'm gonna move on. But this NEPO thing, We've
- 40:34Speaker 2: addressed it before. I really don't understand what it is
- 40:40Speaker 2: that the people that are complaining have an issue with,
- 40:46Speaker 2: because if that's not what you're doing with your life,
- 40:50Speaker 2: trying to make a road and seement your name into
- 40:54Speaker 2: something that you can pass on, and I don't know
- 40:57Speaker 2: why would you even bring children here. Hello. But I
- 41:02Speaker 2: don't know whatever job most people try to teach that.
- 41:07Speaker 2: The cowboy tries to teach his son to be a cowboy.
- 41:10Speaker 2: Might not want to do it, but that's what his
- 41:12Speaker 2: skill set. It's not a surprise to see an actor's
- 41:17Speaker 2: son Denzel Washington. That's what Denzel knew what to do.
- 41:22Speaker 2: It was the connection. When your kid graduate from college,
- 41:26Speaker 2: you're gonna call the people that you know to help
- 41:31Speaker 2: them get a job. That's how the world works. And
- 41:34Speaker 2: if you don't, I don't know where you think the
- 41:36Speaker 2: world gets cut off. But Big Kenny's daughter becoming a
- 41:43Speaker 2: comedian is not a shocker. TI the young son rapping,
- 41:48Speaker 2: that's what he knows. I don't know how big you
- 41:51Speaker 2: can come. Maybe you this won't work. So this whole
- 41:54Speaker 2: side show. No, it was not a size show. It
- 41:57Speaker 2: was called business and entertainment. As I have said, that's
- 42:01Speaker 2: what sports is. I don't know that the players are
- 42:04Speaker 2: even taking the cowboy. Players were saying that Jerry Jones
- 42:10Speaker 2: brings too many fans to practice every day. We called
- 42:15Speaker 2: them looky lose when I played, that's what we called.
- 42:19Speaker 2: They would come and we would make jokes and references
- 42:22Speaker 2: and a couple of guys, based on their personality would
- 42:25Speaker 2: say the things loud enough that the fans would hear
- 42:29Speaker 2: that you're bringing these people like we're circus animals. And
- 42:33Speaker 2: the Cowboy players are even saying, we don't know how
- 42:37Speaker 2: serious the Cowboy organization is about winning championships. I spoke
- 42:44Speaker 2: on that which you command you having with your team,
- 42:46Speaker 2: about like how they they are Jerry is about the
- 42:49Speaker 2: show because Jerry is a businessman and he has inspired
- 42:54Speaker 2: all these owners. That's as much as they hate him,
- 42:58Speaker 2: they love him because all they've done is copy. So
- 43:01Speaker 2: I guess they Neppo owners and they have copy this
- 43:05Speaker 2: man and business. Everybody's selling underwear op right next to
- 43:12Speaker 2: the popcorn.
- 43:14Speaker 7: I was just about to say, why everybody's talking about
- 43:17Speaker 7: the Lookie Lose. It's like we're circus animals. The rest
- 43:21Speaker 7: of the owners are getting that music and ramping everybody
- 43:26Speaker 7: out there because this is business. I think people at
- 43:29Speaker 7: the end of the day forget that this is for
- 43:31Speaker 7: profit business and anything they can do. We're not talking
- 43:35Speaker 7: about a bit of profit either. We're talking about multi
- 43:38Speaker 7: billion dollar TV contracts. We're talking about multi billion dollar jerseys.
- 43:43Speaker 7: This is before any tickets and popcorn gets sold. But
- 43:47Speaker 7: these players are demanding high dollars, so they got to
- 43:49Speaker 7: generate this money and any way they can do it.
- 43:52Speaker 7: And again, American society, relax your sensibilities, relax your you'll
- 43:58Speaker 7: you'll get hey, put twenty on the over and then
- 44:02Speaker 7: someone go but gambo responsibly and you're not upset about that.
- 44:08Speaker 7: You're not upset about that. You'll have somebody go, Hey,
- 44:12Speaker 7: drink more beer, drink more beer and drive safely in
- 44:17Speaker 7: the same breath.
- 44:18Speaker 9: Come on, man, this is America.
- 44:20Speaker 2: We show Yeah. Ice Cube has built the whole league
- 44:24Speaker 2: on the show. He's capitalizing with the Big three of
- 44:28Speaker 2: notable names and he just took over for the Harlem
- 44:32Speaker 2: Globe Trotters. Now, Brianna Stewart, Professor Collier of the WNA.
- 44:39Speaker 2: This January, they're starting a women's three on three league
- 44:45Speaker 2: unrivaled doing the same thing in ice Cube. They're gonna
- 44:49Speaker 2: take the thirty best three on three women's player and
- 44:54Speaker 2: they're gonna move it around. Do you think they're right?
- 44:58Speaker 2: They have sponsorship right now that the players in this
- 45:01Speaker 2: three on three are gonna make more money than in
- 45:03Speaker 2: the w n b A. It's the spectacle people wanted
- 45:09Speaker 2: to just be in the arena that Caitlin Clark was
- 45:12Speaker 2: in for the Graham. They don't even like w N
- 45:17Speaker 2: b A. But if I can walk down to the court,
- 45:23Speaker 2: I got gentlemen in here that have set with me
- 45:25Speaker 2: in the game. People almost get arrested doing warm up
- 45:31Speaker 2: just to get the backdrop of KD in the backdrop
- 45:35Speaker 2: in the picture. They ain't even they ain't even trying
- 45:38Speaker 2: to talk to KD. They just trying to make sure
- 45:41Speaker 2: when KD come in, I'm back round and they sitting there,
- 45:44Speaker 2: the police got the hand on the gun and everything, and.
- 45:47Speaker 7: They with the address with their shirt. How you telling
- 45:51Speaker 7: the man the hold on gripping shirt shirt? You got
- 45:56Speaker 7: them eight thousand dollars worth of jewelry, not even in
- 45:58Speaker 7: the picture, just one to get a little selfie with
- 46:02Speaker 7: with the top of your head in KD.
- 46:04Speaker 2: Yeah, they don't plan on speaking to KD. No, no, no,
- 46:07Speaker 2: they just need his when he goes to lay up
- 46:09Speaker 2: the warm up. They just want to make sure they
- 46:11Speaker 2: got him. Girl, get him, get him.
- 46:14Speaker 7: And now just imagine Bronni and lebron in the same frame,
- 46:18Speaker 7: in the same frame, in the same jersey, on the
- 46:20Speaker 7: same floor Oh, that's gonna be everybody getting arrested tonight.
- 46:24Speaker 2: And that's why I said, I like that the Lakers
- 46:26Speaker 2: went on. Now, whatever Lebronni is gonna be because remember
- 46:30Speaker 2: in the draft in the NBA, all their talent is unproven.
- 46:36Speaker 2: That's what the new sport is. The young man for
- 46:40Speaker 2: the Hawks. Difference between him and Bronnie as far as
- 46:46Speaker 2: experience is that he's six 'ten but they're all experiment
- 46:53Speaker 2: He's nineteen.
- 46:56Speaker 9: From France.
- 46:57Speaker 2: They used to make you go to college improve you
- 47:00Speaker 2: can ball. Now it's all of them are just projects.
- 47:06Speaker 2: The NFL is the only person that wants to really
- 47:08Speaker 2: see that you can do what you can do. Major
- 47:11Speaker 2: League Baseball drafted Andrew joneson three years ago, like the
- 47:16Speaker 2: second pick of the Major League Draft. I haven't seen
- 47:19Speaker 2: or heard since he's still working exactly. They're working on it.
- 47:26Speaker 24: Six.
- 47:27Speaker 2: We'll see him before the potential. Yeah, man, he's only twenty.
- 47:32Speaker 10: And then right now he's probably twenty years old because
- 47:34Speaker 10: he's two years removed from my school.
- 47:36Speaker 7: Because and I was going to say, because right before
- 47:38Speaker 7: he left high school and they were talking about him
- 47:40Speaker 7: getting drafted, they said he was working.
- 47:42Speaker 2: He's working on being good it. We'll be back with
- 47:45Speaker 2: more of the Sports Shock Show right after this.
- 48:01Speaker 6: Joh't bow away.
- 48:02Speaker 12: More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gams videos
- 48:05Speaker 12: coming up next.
- 48:07Speaker 22: Hurting a game, we tough it out, feel exhausted, we
- 48:11Speaker 22: push on feeling down.
- 48:14Speaker 6: We pull ourselves up by the bootstraps.
- 48:17Speaker 22: But there are times when bootstraps aren't enough, when stress
- 48:21Speaker 22: gets to us and we need to talk to someone
- 48:23Speaker 22: about what we're really going through. So we're going to

- 50:48Speaker 27: And it is is and it is and mean, yeah,

- 51:07Speaker 27: I don't want to die for them.
- 51:10Speaker 2: Yes, shock show, I know, y'all big Kendrick lamar, but
- 51:16Speaker 2: that God's playing right, guys playing make you move a
- 51:21Speaker 2: little bit. Even Kendrick danced to Drake. But he there,
- 51:28Speaker 2: you know, he said he likes it when when Drake
- 51:31Speaker 2: says not when he wraps so much man made hits
- 51:35Speaker 2: right there, young, still making hits. Can you say we
- 51:39Speaker 2: got a couple of comments online?
- 51:40Speaker 7: Oh yeah, we have comments online from our loyal online listeners.
- 51:43Speaker 7: We got COUBAA hot Thorne says grand rising, gentlemen, we
- 51:47Speaker 7: have Uncle Charlie says, love sports jock being true fully
- 51:53Speaker 7: telling it plain, but the hater going to hate talking
- 51:57Speaker 7: about Lebron and Brianni and it being about profit and
- 52:01Speaker 7: we have don't let me mess this up. Et chu
- 52:05Speaker 7: Ko Geese Bar says, right on, Charlie, great point. So
- 52:11Speaker 7: shout out to our online listeners. Y'all keep commenting, keep
- 52:14Speaker 7: letting us know what you think. And we appreciate y'all
- 52:17Speaker 7: listening and.
- 52:17Speaker 2: Speaking of letting you know what they think. Head coach
- 52:19Speaker 2: of the Patriots, Gerrod Mayo said the Patriots are soft
- 52:25Speaker 2: with a t.
- 52:26Speaker 7: Your head coach said, just like you. That's like your
- 52:31Speaker 7: father gone. Boy, you better get back in this house
- 52:33Speaker 7: or you get knocked out. The Patriots have lost six
- 52:36Speaker 7: in a row. Remember they won the first game. Everybody
- 52:39Speaker 7: was shocked. Jakobe Brissett was in there. Now they have
- 52:42Speaker 7: gone to Drake may which you knew.
- 52:45Speaker 2: The Patriots have lost a lot of talent over the
- 52:49Speaker 2: last handful of years going with Gerrod Mayo. This year,
- 52:53Speaker 2: Bill Belichick looks like he's happy about his decision. Right,
- 52:57Speaker 2: you know, young, you know out there was this young
- 53:00Speaker 2: thunder kitten, you know, you know, finally getting a little
- 53:05Speaker 2: taste of light. Nothing confirmed. You know, he looks like
- 53:09Speaker 2: he's learned. Man, it's more to life than just that
- 53:12Speaker 2: cut off sweatshirt. Yeah, and he looks like he's had it.
- 53:15Speaker 2: Don't look like he's planning on talking and no coaches,
- 53:18Speaker 2: I mean, no owners. Look like he's very set right now.
- 53:22Speaker 2: I'm not taking a job during the season. You can
- 53:24Speaker 2: call me in March or something. Every picture I see him,
- 53:27Speaker 2: you know, he's a horseback riding and riding the bicycle
- 53:31Speaker 2: through some exotic mountain area. Looks like, man, you know what.
- 53:36Speaker 9: Stuff he never planned the same right here, got me
- 53:40Speaker 9: out the house.
- 53:41Speaker 2: That's all right. Looks like he's even you know, he's
- 53:46Speaker 2: backwards a little bit, looking like watch the seventh Have
- 53:49Speaker 2: you watched the inside the NFL show that he's on.
- 53:54Speaker 28: No, because you see a lot of joy and happiness
- 53:58Speaker 28: of just him going over like old film of like
- 54:02Speaker 28: whatever game like you see like he's he actually looks happy.
- 54:08Speaker 28: So he may be happy in retirement doing this. I'm
- 54:11Speaker 28: gonna imagine the years. I mean we're talking about of
- 54:14Speaker 28: fifty years, we're talking about starting your coaching job, trying
- 54:20Speaker 28: to manage Lawrence Taylor as the linebacker coach for the Giants.
- 54:25Speaker 28: Back the tuner, the real big tune, not not the
- 54:28Speaker 28: old one that got to the Cowboys, the fresh can
- 54:31Speaker 28: the tune of the jumpbo cane jump, Yeah about them.
- 54:34Speaker 2: Cane oil olive oil oil. Because the other king, it's
- 54:40Speaker 2: in water. You run all the water out and you
- 54:42Speaker 2: make it. But the other one, but the big toe.
- 54:45Speaker 2: That's Bill Belichick way back then. He's so happy to
- 54:48Speaker 2: finally get some some joy. Him and Nick nick Saban.
- 54:52Speaker 2: The great Nick Saban question was about the Alabama head
- 54:58Speaker 2: coach telling the board the boar and does Nick Saban, Well,
- 55:03Speaker 2: he's playing on Nick saban field. So that has to
- 55:06Speaker 2: be a big shadow right there in itself that every
- 55:09Speaker 2: time he go to work Nick Saban, he went to
- 55:12Speaker 2: Nick Saban's office. Probably Nick Saban's secretary is still there.
- 55:18Speaker 2: The cooks and everything that Nick put there is still there.
- 55:22Speaker 2: Probably get say Nick Nick Saban every once in a while. No,
- 55:28Speaker 2: trust mean the people that's looking for Nick Saban. No,
- 55:30Speaker 2: Nick Saban's not until scalusive at that address. But I'm saying,
- 55:38Speaker 2: is he working in a huge shadow. Yes, as all
- 55:42Speaker 2: quarterbacks and and people that are in no spot like
- 55:46Speaker 2: that first three or four years, people are always questioning,
- 55:49Speaker 2: you know, Will Drake May, Tom Brady is what three
- 55:53Speaker 2: four years removed from five years maybe from the Patriots.
- 55:57Speaker 9: Patriots and they still still but.
- 56:02Speaker 2: Ain't Nick Drake May was in high school and Tom
- 56:06Speaker 2: and a quarterbacking for the Patriot.
- 56:08Speaker 9: You don't think that.
- 56:11Speaker 7: People like Kaylyn de Bor stepping to those shoes hoping
- 56:15Speaker 7: to exceed those expectations, hoping to outshine and outdo that
- 56:21Speaker 7: last legacy, like if I can come in here and
- 56:24Speaker 7: by the time I leave, you're going Nick who or
- 56:27Speaker 7: oh yeah, Saving? He was good too. That's some Sometimes
- 56:31Speaker 7: people are motivated by that.
- 56:34Speaker 10: Since we brought up saving and things in him talking
- 56:38Speaker 10: and saying something recently and you being in that playing
- 56:41Speaker 10: in that Iron Bowl and a part of that. He
- 56:43Speaker 10: just recently said that the Tennessee Alabama rivalry, the players
- 56:47Speaker 10: get up and the fans get up more for that
- 56:49Speaker 10: than the actual Iron Bowl. Is that it's hard for
- 56:52Speaker 10: me to believe that, being fortunate blessed to go to
- 56:56Speaker 10: the Iron Bowl a couple times with you, Kenny, we
- 56:58Speaker 10: seen I know, I you.
- 57:00Speaker 2: I mean, it's just hard to believe that. But is
- 57:04Speaker 2: that could that be? Really is he or is he
- 57:07Speaker 2: baking the fan base or is he trying to incite
- 57:10Speaker 2: the fan base? Because I know that Alabama the third
- 57:13Speaker 2: Saturday in October? Who plays Alabama? Tense? How can that
- 57:22Speaker 2: be such a moment in time that people know if
- 57:27Speaker 2: it's not at least equal college football? No world knows
- 57:33Speaker 2: the third all the changes in sports, they still haven't
- 57:36Speaker 2: changed that. But they still haven't changed y'all playing them
- 57:39Speaker 2: at the end of the year for the Ron boil
- 57:40Speaker 2: but bad producer. Hold on, now, okay me, of course,
- 57:44Speaker 2: then you can tell me. I didn't go to Alabama,
- 57:48Speaker 2: So I can't tell you that the Alabama players don't
- 57:50Speaker 2: see Tennessee as that. I have to look at the record.
- 57:55Speaker 2: Maybe Tennessee is one more the Iron Bowl. When I
- 58:00Speaker 2: was at it was second to Florida. I wanted to
- 58:04Speaker 2: beat Florida more than I wanted to beat Alabama. I mean,
- 58:08Speaker 2: it's a great rivalry for the state. But I can't
- 58:12Speaker 2: tell you that because I didn't go to Alabama. And remember,
- 58:18Speaker 2: the fans have a sense of something more than the players.
- 58:21Speaker 2: Y'all want to go poison Trees. I don't want to
- 58:24Speaker 2: go to Tuscaloos and poison nothing right. You as a
- 58:28Speaker 2: fan is more invested in this Duke North Carolina basketball rivalry.
- 58:35Speaker 2: But Christian Lahtner might have been going by and picking
- 58:37Speaker 2: up j R. Reed. Who knows, But you want to
- 58:43Speaker 2: believe these people hate each other. Hey, I'm just like
- 58:47Speaker 2: I said, I'm just at the time before. But by
- 58:52Speaker 2: the time Nick got there, maybe this was true. Remember
- 58:57Speaker 2: Nick didn't get to Alabama until like two thousand eight,
- 59:00Speaker 2: two thousand and seven, so the rivalry, which was Alabama
- 59:05Speaker 2: Auburn could have been before that. Those things change over time,
- 59:13Speaker 2: so that's all. The Florida Florida State the Florida Miami
- 59:16Speaker 2: thing became bigger than that, in my inestimation, over time,
- 59:21Speaker 2: it used to be Florida Florida State and then Florida
- 59:24Speaker 2: State Miami. Seemed like they was fighting for true rights,
- 59:28Speaker 2: like it was gonna be a jail, like somebody's gonna
- 59:30Speaker 2: get shot. They played like it was a personal thing.
- 59:35Speaker 2: Florida Florida State just played like they you know, we
- 59:39Speaker 2: kind of like each other. So I don't know Nick
- 59:41Speaker 2: was there. I wasn't. We'll be back more to Sports
- 59:43Speaker 2: Shock Show. Right after this, the wheels on the road.
- 59:46Speaker 6: Okay, funny high light goals.
- 59:48Speaker 7: He thought he was sitting.
- 59:49Speaker 6: Now we're wiping his nose.
- 59:50Speaker 2: Okay.
- 59:50Speaker 27: As soon as you give him your soul, you blow
- 59:52Speaker 27: up and they say you're selling your soul.
- 59:54Speaker 6: Okay, then want my life exposed. They want to know
- 59:56Speaker 6: about the hides and nose.

- 1:00:05Speaker 29: My simple solution to the problem was remove people from
- 1:00:09Speaker 29: the scene and help them feel safer.
- 1:00:12Speaker 30: In response to attacks against Asian Americans, Maddie Park raised
- 1:00:15Speaker 30: over two hundred and fifty thousand dollars to donate camp
- 1:00:19Speaker 30: rights to the Asian community.
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: There is so much more work to be done.

- 1:00:35Speaker 4: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance. Three
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have
- 1:00:45Speaker 4: life insurance.
- 1:00:46Speaker 29: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:00:48Speaker 29: just getting started with our family and thought we lived forever.
- 1:00:50Speaker 6: Life insurance was the last thing on my mind. What
- 1:00:53Speaker 6: about you? Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:00:56Speaker 29: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:00:57Speaker 29: bills piling up, I was worried how my family was
- 1:01:00Speaker 29: without me. That's what I'm in an appointment with the
- 1:01:02Speaker 29: insurance informant.
- 1:01:03Speaker 4: Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family
- 1:01:06Speaker 4: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:01:08Speaker 29: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I'll
- 1:01:11Speaker 29: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: whether you earn a little or a lot, All you
- 1:01:17Speaker 4: need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 1:01:20Speaker 4: foundation of security, because without you, your family will have

- 1:01:46Speaker 24: rhythm to the world you've created. But every time you
- 1:01:50Speaker 24: drive after drinking, music gets drowned out. Your life sounds
- 1:01:57Speaker 24: pretty great. Don't let a buzz ruin it. Buzz driving
- 1:02:01Speaker 24: is drunk driving. Don't drive buzzed. A message from N's

- 1:02:09Speaker 1: Enough is enough, I don't have any shall series suck
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: and we hold the world ransom for.

- 1:02:29Speaker 17: You may.
- 1:02:33Speaker 8: Show come so far comes it comes to look?
- 1:02:39Speaker 5: Is it just.
- 1:02:43Speaker 6: I'm a doing Yeah, I'm gonna go on the way you.
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: May vegan, Welcome back to the Sports Shock Show. I'm
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: the Sports Shock Wayne Gandy. Good morning to you. Interesting
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: thing happened on Monday night football, not just that ESPN
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: Plus at the game the Cardinals beat the Chargers. In
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: the game, they removed the cheerleaders from the sideline so
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: they was blocking the view. What kind of communists is
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: going to these games? That's what it gotta be. Some
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: communism growing the sixties are coming. See when they bought them?
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: Who removes you? Who you know? Because now with the
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: new stadiums, they have those ground level seats, which are
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: I keep telling people, do not invest in that. The
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: ground level seats are terrible. It seems like you're doing
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: something right, right when they tell man, were down on
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: the and then you can't see.
- 1:03:39Speaker 7: You look at the Gucci man back, you can't see,
- 1:03:42Speaker 7: and the pink wife beat them breast ca because you.
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: Got to realize, now, try to look, Try to imagine
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: trying to see when they're on the other end of
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: the field. It's not it's not good. You can't see
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: what's going on. But it's comfortable because the leather.
- 1:03:59Speaker 7: I'm saying, it's all horrible view, but you comfortable while
- 1:04:02Speaker 7: you're thinking to yourself, man, I wasted.
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: I guess some of the power brokers that sit down
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: there complaining that the cheerleaders were blocking their view on
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: the sideline, it's true communism. And I ain't never heard
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: that even well it's right there a little bit.
- 1:04:20Speaker 7: It's today's you're trying to say, it's today's sensibilities. And
- 1:04:24Speaker 7: the cheerleaders, these cheerleaders are out there in like one
- 1:04:27Speaker 7: piece bathing suits. They've got uh die boots on waiting
- 1:04:33Speaker 7: boots and you know now, and and and face covers.
- 1:04:37Speaker 7: And it's not like it's not like the Dallas Cowboy
- 1:04:40Speaker 7: cheerleaders of all, you know what I mean. This is
- 1:04:43Speaker 7: more just some people like two four these were attractive.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: They were nicely they oh, yeah, so somebody just hate
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: JJ Reddick, the head coach of the Lakers. Something I
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: didn't realize. He says he he wants to talk to
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: the NBA and petition the league about playing with new basketballs.
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: He wants to play with Warren in basketballs, which I
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: did not know. In football Fridays, we throw the ball around,
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: or it used to, you know, I've been out for
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: fourteen fifteen years now, and then the quarterback, the kicker,
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: they would bag the balls up with the equipment man.
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: Then they would take those balls so the referees could see.
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: But you don't want to play with a new slipper? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: And when I read it, I was like, I thought,
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: that's what the captains went and checked. They wanted to
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: play with the ball. That was kind of you know,
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: you played a couple. It is a different ball, it's
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: a different grip. And he was saying the ball, the
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: new ball is just too slick, and I was wondering.
- 1:05:57Speaker 9: Now they have to use new balls every game?
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: Is that a real I guess that's what they've been doing.
- 1:06:02Speaker 10: And weigh thirty three ounces or something that it's like
- 1:06:07Speaker 10: that balls everier than the college ball also any and see.
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: I'm imagining, but I think he's talking about the slickness
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: of it from the new ones. Yeah, it may be
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: a new process because they switched over to Wilson. Is
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: the ball?
- 1:06:21Speaker 9: That's what I wanted to ask, Who's the provider?
- 1:06:23Speaker 7: Is this just a byproduct of trying to make sure
- 1:06:27Speaker 7: that we honor a certain number of basketball that's with Wilson,
- 1:06:32Speaker 7: Like every year we have to buy at least three
- 1:06:34Speaker 7: hundred thousand basketballs from them, So you got to have
- 1:06:38Speaker 7: eight basketballs per game each time we have a game.
- 1:06:42Speaker 7: So you know, we would love to play with these
- 1:06:45Speaker 7: older balls, but that won't allow us to reach our quota.
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: Yeah, so I just thought that I knew, like in
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: the NFL, some of those some of these great catches
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: that you see is a byproduct of the glove that
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: they wear. The glove of now in the NFL has
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: more stick.
- 1:07:03Speaker 7: To it automatically. There's no need to add a substance
- 1:07:07Speaker 7: to it. It comes already tacky.
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: It already has a certain grip to it, so aids
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: in some of these great one handed catches that you see,
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: the ball holds to the glove a little more.
- 1:07:19Speaker 7: What happened to the stick of what I'm saying that
- 1:07:21Speaker 7: was that was added the substance.
- 1:07:24Speaker 9: But the glove is legal.
- 1:07:26Speaker 7: But all we gotta do is make the texture of
- 1:07:29Speaker 7: the glove sticky and now we get past all of
- 1:07:32Speaker 7: those pesky rules and regulations.
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: Yeah. I just thought that was a great point by JJ.
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: If that's true. With the ball, I thought they used
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: balls that they had like practiced with. I thought they
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: provided their own balls and the ref got to go
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: through those balls. But I didn't know they were just
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: bringing out I thought they had You see the ref
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: with two or three balls.
- 1:07:54Speaker 10: He's checking to see and then they'll, like you said,
- 1:07:57Speaker 10: they at the corn TOAs so when they talk to
- 1:08:00Speaker 10: the captives.
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: But apparently that's not.
- 1:08:03Speaker 7: And so he's advocating to get old balls introduced to
- 1:08:06Speaker 7: the game. Is anybody getting on board with him?
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: Well, we'll see it just after the game Tuesday, and
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: maybe that was just for that game to start the season.
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: They just wanted to throw up new balls. Paul George
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: is complaining about media access. He was on his podcast
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: and he was bringing to light some comments about trying
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: to limit the media right after the game. For more privacy.
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: So he felt that a couple of times he's in
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: the locker room that the reporters were looking at him
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: in the nude as they come in. And some people
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: don't know how that operation works. You get to the
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: locker room and within eight to twelve minutes of you
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: entering that locker room, the media will come in. And
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: typically it's about two minutes after the coach says his whatever,
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: or you break down or say a prayer, whatever they use,
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: and the media it comes flooding in. U In that
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: old school moment of time, guys were just instantly undressed
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: and wherever the reporter would catch them, whether it was
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: before the shower or after, they would do the interview.
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: But Paul George feels like he's caught people he needn't
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: say gender, staring at him a couple of times. And
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: I think I've always felt that it should have been
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: a little longer too. I've always thought that, now, go ahead.
- 1:09:42Speaker 7: Now, my first question would be is a process the
- 1:09:48Speaker 7: same in the w NBA locker room.
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: No it's not.
- 1:09:51Speaker 10: And so right there we have the problem because with
- 1:09:55Speaker 10: the w NBA, with the ladies, what they do they
- 1:09:58Speaker 10: have with quite a down period coach talks to him.
- 1:10:02Speaker 10: Two minutes later, you go in, all the girls are
- 1:10:04Speaker 10: sitting around, and then they all have to sit there,
- 1:10:08Speaker 10: even if you're not even talking to one the media,
- 1:10:11Speaker 10: you still have to wait before they can start changing
- 1:10:13Speaker 10: clothes or anything. And then when we leave out, then
- 1:10:15Speaker 10: they start getting ready. With the NBA, you know, once
- 1:10:18Speaker 10: we in this, everybody's getting ready, everything's moving right.
- 1:10:21Speaker 7: And my problem is this that the WNBA will point
- 1:10:25Speaker 7: out that we don't fly private, they will point out
- 1:10:29Speaker 7: that we don't have the same type of gems when
- 1:10:32Speaker 7: it comes to preparing for the playoff games. They'll point
- 1:10:35Speaker 7: out that we're not doing the profit sharing and all
- 1:10:37Speaker 7: of these disparities that go the other way. But here
- 1:10:40Speaker 7: we are a man, and I'm sure he's not the
- 1:10:43Speaker 7: first person to feel uncomfortable because strangers are walking on
- 1:10:47Speaker 7: me while I'm naked. I haven't even had chance to
- 1:10:50Speaker 7: take a shower, and I'm dealing with people standing around
- 1:10:53Speaker 7: me and asking me questions with cameras and recorders.
- 1:10:56Speaker 9: But the WNBA has never.
- 1:10:58Speaker 7: Had to deal with that, and they've never spoken up
- 1:11:01Speaker 7: for the male NBA players, for any players in any
- 1:11:05Speaker 7: locker room who don't have to go through that. And
- 1:11:07Speaker 7: if this were the other way they be suing Major
- 1:11:11Speaker 7: League Sports, they'd be doing all kinds of things to
- 1:11:15Speaker 7: try and stop this, accusing them of exploitation and some
- 1:11:19Speaker 7: sort of minimizing and hurting their self esteem. That's unfair.
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: Well, we would have to find out is this just
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: how they deal with it, because maybe that's just how
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: they know it's going to happen, So instead of getting dressed,
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: they just pause and not at all the interviews. Right,
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: So I don't know that it's necessarily it is. They
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: don't let them in the WSB. It just handles it.
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: If they just handle it different. Something like football, guys
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: want to get out of that stuff. You want to
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: get out of those paths, You want to get out
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: of those all those types and things like that. And
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: as it evolved, the quarterback who used to do interviews
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: in the locker room, they hold him until he gets dressed.
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: A lot of times him and the coach will go
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: to a separate room because guys would use that time
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: with when everybody rushed over to the quarterback, guys would
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: running the shower real quick and disappear out of the
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: locker room. That's your start. It was like that with baseball,
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: so down they hold the quarterback because that's where everybody
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: wants to go, and they have him do his own
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: little in about ten fifteen minutes.
- 1:12:31Speaker 10: But it's like that with you go to Brads, they
- 1:12:33Speaker 10: take you into, coaches offers you and the coach by
- 1:12:35Speaker 10: the time you go out, and all the players just
- 1:12:37Speaker 10: either went out the back door the shower. They got
- 1:12:39Speaker 10: their door, they could get through and leave the shower,
- 1:12:42Speaker 10: and you may not get the player that you want
- 1:12:44Speaker 10: or you miss.
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: So I guess the only thing I could with Paul George,
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: I guess the best was just as a team do
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: like the WNBA and just let him do the interviews
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: first before anyone starts, and who wants to around only
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: have a certain amount of minutes they can be in
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: the locker room, right so it's not like they can
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: be in there the whole forever.
- 1:13:08Speaker 7: Because I was going to say to holding somebody after work,
- 1:13:10Speaker 7: like who wants to answer questions?
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: Answer questions about the job that you just completed. We'll
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: be back with more of the sports Jock show right after.
- 1:13:19Speaker 11: This making making that's so many change it call me chane,

- 1:20:27Speaker 7: You know?
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: Are you sure you know it? But you kind of
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: forget that her and Bill are actually you say she's

- 1:26:44Speaker 2: What much this war shock shot, I'm the sport shock
- 1:26:47Speaker 2: Wayne Candy. Remember on that American Airlines we just had
- 1:26:51Speaker 2: a little discussioning the break. They will it will be
- 1:26:55Speaker 2: a sign flashing when you try to board if you're
- 1:26:59Speaker 2: not in the zone, if you're not first class and
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: you try to go on, it will be a buzzer.
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: So don't get mad and start turning over stuff and
- 1:27:10Speaker 2: want to fight. I'm letting you know now, just give
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: your heads up because people get that, Hilda, and what
- 1:27:19Speaker 2: I'm saying, and.
- 1:27:20Speaker 7: What I'm saying is all it will take, all it
- 1:27:23Speaker 7: will take. And this is and this is just my
- 1:27:25Speaker 7: personal opinion. I don't need anybody else to catch any
- 1:27:28Speaker 7: backlash or anything for what I'm about to say, because
- 1:27:30Speaker 7: if it's unpopular, that's just how I feel. All it
- 1:27:33Speaker 7: will take is someone who is overweight, who is shorter
- 1:27:39Speaker 7: than the normal height, who is thinner than they'd like
- 1:27:43Speaker 7: to be, to try and board when they're not supposed to,
- 1:27:46Speaker 7: and that red light come on, and then they go
- 1:27:48Speaker 7: to talking about how emotional and uh mentally traumatized they
- 1:27:53Speaker 7: were because they felt like the world was staring at
- 1:27:56Speaker 7: them and I'm already fat and I already have self
- 1:27:58Speaker 7: esteem issues.
- 1:28:00Speaker 9: American airlines man, man.
- 1:28:02Speaker 2: Are you first class?
- 1:28:04Speaker 5: No?
- 1:28:05Speaker 2: Okay, so then you're wrong and that's the that's an
- 1:28:08Speaker 2: American because I'm fat. Yeah, well you fat and wrong,
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: fat double heavy said whatever y'all want to call it,
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: Go back to your seat for I to cancel your.
- 1:28:22Speaker 9: Flight, but you need to book two seats, pork all
- 1:28:25Speaker 9: that if we're gonna.
- 1:28:26Speaker 2: Double I've never understood, and hopefully all the airlines, I
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: never understand the sentiment that you feel like when you're wrong,
- 1:28:36Speaker 2: you still should be right. Exactly exactly when you're wrong,
- 1:28:40Speaker 2: you should still should be right. This person has paid
- 1:28:43Speaker 2: fifty seventy one hundred dollars more to get those privileges.
- 1:28:51Speaker 2: You went and bought something else from some Jordan's. You
- 1:28:54Speaker 2: had the extra hundred dollars too, but you decided you
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: need to go on your trip with that extra money.
- 1:28:59Speaker 2: This person from society. No, I just wear my old
- 1:29:01Speaker 2: flip flops. But I don't want to see it comfortably. Yes,
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: so don't try to make it. Oh they got more. No,
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: they decided to do something different with their money. With
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: their money, and now you want to still get the privileges,
- 1:29:14Speaker 2: even though you're wrong. That's just how it works. That's
- 1:29:18Speaker 2: not it. I said Zone two. You in zone fault.
- 1:29:22Speaker 2: It says Zone faul and big Bowler. I can't even
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: read the date of the ticket, but I can read
- 1:29:27Speaker 2: the zone. Look at the ticket next time electronic. It
- 1:29:34Speaker 2: could be digital, it could be actually printed out. The
- 1:29:37Speaker 2: zone is all that zone wasn't done wrong. I'm just
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: so there you go, and hopefully, you know, I hope
- 1:29:46Speaker 2: they keep a record for guys like the bad producers.
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: So they just banned some of these people need to
- 1:29:51Speaker 2: get banned from the airport flying period. Get back on
- 1:29:55Speaker 2: that greyhound. And because some of you never had that
- 1:29:57Speaker 2: greyhound life that greyhound life will make you.
- 1:30:03Speaker 7: Make you get in line and wait for your zone
- 1:30:05Speaker 7: to be called, like I'm just glad I'm on.
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: The phone until you caught the bus and gotta stop
- 1:30:10Speaker 2: fourteen places.
- 1:30:12Speaker 7: Between here and Athens. And I ain't telling you not
- 1:30:16Speaker 7: down any experience I'm talking about. I'm talking about jumped
- 1:30:21Speaker 7: on in Atlanta. Before we had got the Athens, we
- 1:30:23Speaker 7: had stopped seventeen.
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: Every twenty miles you stopped, Come on man, and then
- 1:30:29Speaker 2: on the fifth stop we had to wait thirty five
- 1:30:31Speaker 2: minutes before we could pull back out. Until you live
- 1:30:33Speaker 2: that life, or that train life, where you sit there
- 1:30:36Speaker 2: and what you could have drove in four hours take
- 1:30:39Speaker 2: you nine. Yeah, I was. That's the other part about it.
- 1:30:43Speaker 7: You get on the greyhound here in Atlanta at seven
- 1:30:46Speaker 7: o'clock and at ten thirty pm you and Athens, and
- 1:30:51Speaker 7: then you got a three hour layover.
- 1:30:53Speaker 2: Before you can get to Charlotte. It's some serious thing.
- 1:30:56Speaker 2: The Chiefs are set to trade for DeAndre Hopkins try
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: to bolster their receiving corps. They have lost two players
- 1:31:04Speaker 2: for the year, Rashi Rice and Hollywood Brown. We forget
- 1:31:08Speaker 2: Hollywood Brown was a big pickup of their They thought
- 1:31:10Speaker 2: he was gonna be able to stretch the field. Both
- 1:31:13Speaker 2: of the players are out. Rush Rice's mom finally and
- 1:31:17Speaker 2: the only thing with her. She finally was arrested and
- 1:31:23Speaker 2: for stealing a package. It's at mister meanor's theft? What
- 1:31:27Speaker 2: is mister Meanor's theft? You don't know what's in this package.
- 1:31:34Speaker 2: It's about the value of it. Once package is how long?
- 1:31:36Speaker 2: But how do you know a package is a package?
- 1:31:41Speaker 2: And the value of the package would be based on
- 1:31:44Speaker 2: me because my yearbook was thirty five dollars, but to
- 1:31:53Speaker 2: me it was thirty five thousand dollars worth of memories.
- 1:31:57Speaker 2: So who gauges what it is you stole? Why is it?
- 1:32:00Speaker 2: Why is there a degree?
- 1:32:03Speaker 9: Don't don't get mad.
- 1:32:05Speaker 2: Stealing a dollar a thousand dollars is the same.
- 1:32:08Speaker 7: No, don't get mad, tito. It's the law, they say,
- 1:32:11Speaker 7: They the people whoever they are, drew up these laws.
- 1:32:14Speaker 7: And they say, if once you steal that package, you
- 1:32:17Speaker 7: open it up and it's a charm with my brother's
- 1:32:21Speaker 7: ashes in it, that how much does the charm worth?
- 1:32:25Speaker 7: Seventy five dollars? That's misdemeanor. Now, the fact that beloved
- 1:32:29Speaker 7: member my family was inside of the charm the bank.
- 1:32:33Speaker 2: But whether you got five hundred dollars or five hundred
- 1:32:36Speaker 2: million dollars, you went in there and robbed the bank, right,
- 1:32:40Speaker 2: that's the crime.
- 1:32:41Speaker 7: What I'm saying, you don't have to get any money
- 1:32:43Speaker 7: in the bank. Just because you go into a federally
- 1:32:46Speaker 7: insured place with a gun. You get time for that.
- 1:32:50Speaker 7: That's what I'm saying, And that's what I'm saying. The
- 1:32:52Speaker 7: interesting part was that you this stuff is misdemeanors.
- 1:32:57Speaker 9: Yes, yes, versus what it's based on what you steal
- 1:33:02Speaker 9: from them is all.
- 1:33:04Speaker 2: I don't get it. Seemed like def is theF Yeah,
- 1:33:07Speaker 2: when it stole from in front of my door, what
- 1:33:11Speaker 2: it was is irrelevant. It should be a felony.
- 1:33:14Speaker 10: Well, that's why we got so many stores that where
- 1:33:18Speaker 10: they walk in and steal it. Like, if they don't
- 1:33:19Speaker 10: steal up to one thousand dollars, it's just a misdemeanor
- 1:33:22Speaker 10: and they can get no bond and let them out.
- 1:33:25Speaker 2: Right. I get the insue, But to me, the bigger
- 1:33:30Speaker 2: problem is that you have degrees. If you had one,
- 1:33:34Speaker 2: simple stealing is a felony. It's a felony and sports, y'all.
- 1:33:39Speaker 7: I agree with you because just in the last couple
- 1:33:42Speaker 7: of weeks, my wife had one of those Apple watches,
- 1:33:46Speaker 7: the new black chrome ones delivered to the house and
- 1:33:50Speaker 7: got the picture that it was delivered never came. And
- 1:33:55Speaker 7: the sense of peace and violation that has been taken
- 1:33:59Speaker 7: from me. I'm on high alert now. People just walking
- 1:34:02Speaker 7: up on my porch and walking off, Well, that's a
- 1:34:05Speaker 7: felony in Georgia now, and I'm saying, but still the
- 1:34:10Speaker 7: fact that you were that close to my family and
- 1:34:12Speaker 7: I didn't It wasn't because it was probably the state
- 1:34:15Speaker 7: that she was in with her stealing, because certain states
- 1:34:17Speaker 7: they call it porch pirting and George is one of
- 1:34:20Speaker 7: those states.
- 1:34:21Speaker 2: Uh, Jameis Winston is going to step in for Deshaun Watson,
- 1:34:25Speaker 2: uh this weekend taking that starting roll up there. Shame
- 1:34:29Speaker 2: on you, Michelle Beadle. Michelle Beadle, who used to be
- 1:34:33Speaker 2: on ESPN, said she would have cheered when that with
- 1:34:39Speaker 2: the rest of the Brown fans that Deshaun Watson Achilles
- 1:34:44Speaker 2: was torn and I thought that was so poor. And
- 1:34:47Speaker 2: I'm glad now that ESPN fired you, and I hope
- 1:34:51Speaker 2: that you don't get a job well, you know, remain
- 1:35:00Speaker 2: It meant that statement in any kind of light. Uh,
- 1:35:05Speaker 2: you know, boot you should have booted the Browns and
- 1:35:08Speaker 2: the Shine regardless. And another question is if you didn't
- 1:35:14Speaker 2: like DeShawn Watson, why are you still going to the game.
- 1:35:17Speaker 2: Do you not know that your biggest power is not
- 1:35:22Speaker 2: to tune in, not to show up speak with your feet.
- 1:35:28Speaker 2: I don't get this. I'm gonna go and gripe. If
- 1:35:31Speaker 2: you want change, just don't go. That's how you that's
- 1:35:36Speaker 2: how you get to change. The Browns didn't have to
- 1:35:40Speaker 2: look into making a change. We can't get no fans out. Yeah,
- 1:35:44Speaker 2: but you're saying you would have went to the Browns
- 1:35:46Speaker 2: game to cheer that Deshaun Watson would tear his achilles.
- 1:35:50Speaker 2: If that doesn't sound sadistic because you have problems with
- 1:35:58Speaker 2: then go out and protests. Don't just going to get
- 1:36:02Speaker 2: and wait for somebody to get injured. I just thought
- 1:36:04Speaker 2: that was poor taste by her. It was on Monday.
- 1:36:07Speaker 10: I was around some Atlanta media and a couple of people,
- 1:36:10Speaker 10: both males and females. They were they thought it was yeah,
- 1:36:14Speaker 10: they felt like Michelle Beatle that they were happy that
- 1:36:17Speaker 10: he was heard, or that the fans wasn't in the
- 1:36:20Speaker 10: wrong because they said he's a criminal. And I and
- 1:36:23Speaker 10: I was asking him, I said, what case did he
- 1:36:24Speaker 10: get charged for a sex crime or anything?
- 1:36:28Speaker 20: That?
- 1:36:28Speaker 10: Man, I know he got charged paid Well, if he
- 1:36:31Speaker 10: paid somebody off, he's a criminal.
- 1:36:33Speaker 2: So that's the word.
- 1:36:34Speaker 10: That's the sensibility of people like if he did he's paid,
- 1:36:38Speaker 10: had to pay some people out, So he's guilty and
- 1:36:41Speaker 10: he's a criminal. And I guess the fan base, like
- 1:36:44Speaker 10: you said, they well, how was he a criminal when
- 1:36:46Speaker 10: he was never found guilty of a crime. That's what
- 1:36:49Speaker 10: I same thing I said on Monday. But you know,
- 1:36:51Speaker 10: but we like you have the Michelle Beatles out here. Yeah,
- 1:36:54Speaker 10: so I just thought that was poor taste from the
- 1:36:56Speaker 10: one who's been around sport. Uh this long for her
- 1:36:59Speaker 10: to say that about Sewan Watson and Bryce Young. Unfortunately,
- 1:37:03Speaker 10: Andy Dalton, the big red machine, him and his family
- 1:37:06Speaker 10: was in an accident. No real state of statement on
- 1:37:12Speaker 10: what his injury might be. It could just be that
- 1:37:15Speaker 10: him and his whole family.
- 1:37:16Speaker 2: Was I read it was he has a spring thumb
- 1:37:20Speaker 2: on his throwing hand. Oh okay, okay, now we know.
- 1:37:23Speaker 2: But Andy Dalton will be out Bryce Young back and
- 1:37:27Speaker 2: as the starting quarterback and thankfully Andy his wife. I
- 1:37:32Speaker 2: think there's three kids. All were in the car, so
- 1:37:35Speaker 2: no one got hurt, but they were in a car accident.
- 1:37:39Speaker 2: Bryce Young back in the starting lineup. Will be back
- 1:37:41Speaker 2: more to Sports Jock Show right after this.

- 1:40:28Speaker 8: sing even.
- 1:40:29Speaker 2: Very Janny, Welcome back to the sword Shock Shaw. I'm
- 1:40:33Speaker 2: the sport Shock Wayne Gany. We talked about Jameis Winston
- 1:40:36Speaker 2: taking over in Cleveland, Bryce Young taking over in Carolina
- 1:40:42Speaker 2: with Cleveland, Deshaun Watson out with an achilles, Bryce Young
- 1:40:46Speaker 2: and for Andy Dalton who had an accident car accident
- 1:40:51Speaker 2: as well to attack for Leoa has prepared to return
- 1:40:55Speaker 2: to the lineup. This was a big conversation about three
- 1:40:59Speaker 2: weeks ago, four weeks ago with Tua would he return
- 1:41:03Speaker 2: to the field. He has decided that he will return
- 1:41:08Speaker 2: and play. Will that be this Sunday or next Sunday
- 1:41:11Speaker 2: or he's going this showday. We're going into week eight, right,
- 1:41:15Speaker 2: I think it's this this coming. Okay, So Tua is
- 1:41:18Speaker 2: going to give it another try for the Dolphins or
- 1:41:23Speaker 2: you guys okay with it? No COMANCHI. I'm definitely I'm
- 1:41:29Speaker 2: not comfortable. Yeah, I mean, if the doctors have cleared him,
- 1:41:35Speaker 2: he come and play. That's how you feel about.
- 1:41:37Speaker 10: I mean, if he's cleared, then he's making that decision
- 1:41:41Speaker 10: on his own and no one else is forcing him.
- 1:41:43Speaker 10: I mean, he has to want to know him. He
- 1:41:46Speaker 10: knows himself, he knows his body.
- 1:41:47Speaker 7: I mean, if right, and so when he get a
- 1:41:49Speaker 7: sack and he collapses and he don't move, you just
- 1:41:53Speaker 7: what move to play ten yards down the field.
- 1:41:56Speaker 2: Let's just play ball. That's in practice.
- 1:41:58Speaker 7: No I'm saying no, no, I'm talking about it. We're
- 1:42:00Speaker 7: gonna be in the middle of the game. He gonna
- 1:42:02Speaker 7: take that hit and he gonna go down, and everybody's gonna.
- 1:42:05Speaker 9: Go, oh, the crowd's got tour. Doesn't look he's not
- 1:42:08Speaker 9: moving at all. He doesn't.
- 1:42:10Speaker 7: Oh yeah, we might need to go to commercial and
- 1:42:12Speaker 7: then we're gonna come back and everybody's gonna be like,
- 1:42:15Speaker 7: it's still not moving. Okay, let's we're gonna go to
- 1:42:18Speaker 7: the second half.
- 1:42:20Speaker 9: No one wants to see that.
- 1:42:21Speaker 2: Arizona is going to Miami this weekend, so we will
- 1:42:25Speaker 2: see and rightfully so hopefully. I'm quite sure the Miami Dolphins,
- 1:42:28Speaker 2: the NFL, everybody right now is making some kind of
- 1:42:33Speaker 2: statement just in case that happens, because they will be
- 1:42:37Speaker 2: the one that gets to blame. Nobody's gonna blame toa No,
- 1:42:40Speaker 2: they're gonna blame the Dolphins, They're gonna blame the doctor,
- 1:42:43Speaker 2: They're gonna blame the NFL for anything.
- 1:42:47Speaker 7: And all those people are sitting in the room with
- 1:42:49Speaker 7: him right now going to it. Look, man, think about
- 1:42:51Speaker 7: it a little more before you go out there. And
- 1:42:53Speaker 7: he still makes the ultimate decision, but the responsibility falls
- 1:42:57Speaker 7: on them.
- 1:42:58Speaker 2: Robert sala is joining the past hackers and what they
- 1:43:00Speaker 2: call a fluid role. Matt Lafleur, the head coach of
- 1:43:05Speaker 2: the Packers, Robert Salah gave him his first break, is
- 1:43:10Speaker 2: what he says, one of the first breaks he had,
- 1:43:13Speaker 2: and now he's returning the flavor, the flavor, the favor.
- 1:43:18Speaker 2: But they call it a fluid role, which means basically,
- 1:43:20Speaker 2: he doesn't have a pub position position. He's just there
- 1:43:26Speaker 2: to oversee, watch, give insight on what he sees probably
- 1:43:30Speaker 2: for the offense as a defensive coordinator, where you see
- 1:43:34Speaker 2: this working against, which is a smart idea to start
- 1:43:38Speaker 2: hiring someone in that role almost the reverse. You're a
- 1:43:43Speaker 2: defensive guy. These are the plays I'm running? What should
- 1:43:45Speaker 2: we run front? We should we run that against? What
- 1:43:47Speaker 2: would be successful? You know, kind of how they say
- 1:43:51Speaker 2: you hire hackers to work for the FBI kind of situation.
- 1:43:56Speaker 2: It's kind of the same thing. So smart move there
- 1:43:58Speaker 2: by the Packers, who are playing good football. By the way,
- 1:44:02Speaker 2: in Green Bay, h Angel Reese in the news. Uh,
- 1:44:07Speaker 2: one of you brought this right.
- 1:44:08Speaker 7: Idea I was telling you about and Angel and the
- 1:44:11Speaker 7: Cameron's comments.
- 1:44:12Speaker 9: If that's what you're talking about.
- 1:44:14Speaker 2: Well, it's the same thing. Angel Reese last week was
- 1:44:16Speaker 2: talking about her salary barely covers her rent in Chicago.
- 1:44:23Speaker 17: Uh.
- 1:44:23Speaker 2: And my big questioning with Angel Reese is why she's
- 1:44:27Speaker 2: so thirsty for fame. You think because that's where her
- 1:44:33Speaker 2: money will come from. I mean that's what she made.
- 1:44:36Speaker 2: I mean, but she made that statement. Fame and money
- 1:44:39Speaker 2: don't always coincide. You can be as famous and be broke. Really,
- 1:44:44Speaker 2: there's a lot of fame broke people.
- 1:44:47Speaker 26: True, So.
- 1:44:52Speaker 2: Wanting money is a lot of you know, I want
- 1:44:55Speaker 2: to I want some money, but I don't want the fame.
- 1:44:58Speaker 2: I like to invent something, the pill that fixes kidneys.
- 1:45:04Speaker 2: But I wouldn't want you to know, right, I wouldn't
- 1:45:08Speaker 2: want to tell you how much money I make and
- 1:45:09Speaker 2: what I pay for something, telling people my rent is
- 1:45:14Speaker 2: eight grand who it's a generational I don't remember Oprah
- 1:45:18Speaker 2: ever telling me what she paid for rent. I think
- 1:45:21Speaker 2: it's a I think it's a generational. It's like I
- 1:45:25Speaker 2: wouldn't say it's hand in hand. I wouldn't say a
- 1:45:27Speaker 2: generational thing.
- 1:45:28Speaker 10: I think she's I think they poured mouth and then
- 1:45:31Speaker 10: the w NBA for her to say when I bought
- 1:45:34Speaker 10: this last week, I told you she said that her
- 1:45:37Speaker 10: like she said her rent is eight thousand. Her salary
- 1:45:40Speaker 10: from Chicago Skies does not does not cover that. What
- 1:45:44Speaker 10: covers that is all her endorsements, and she has a
- 1:45:47Speaker 10: list of what she makes him three million dollars a
- 1:45:49Speaker 10: year in endorsements.
- 1:45:51Speaker 2: I think that, But why does she want me to
- 1:45:53Speaker 2: know all that? I'm thinking.
- 1:45:55Speaker 10: What I'm saying is I'm thinking that she may be
- 1:45:57Speaker 10: hopefully she's being reversed trying to get the girls more
- 1:46:01Speaker 10: money by saying, hey, this doesn't.
- 1:46:03Speaker 7: Pay for why can't she just be seeking fame sports y'all?
- 1:46:07Speaker 7: And this is what I'm saying. Do you know how
- 1:46:09Speaker 7: sometimes we talk about the athlete that also plays an
- 1:46:13Speaker 7: instrument or the artist who also goes out and tries
- 1:46:19Speaker 7: out for basketball or sports. They see themselves as something
- 1:46:23Speaker 7: other than what we know them to be. Maybe Angel
- 1:46:26Speaker 7: Rees saw herself as some sort of social media influencer.
- 1:46:30Speaker 7: She wanted to see herself as a supermodel. But I
- 1:46:33Speaker 7: just happened to break out playing basketball. But I'm gonna
- 1:46:36Speaker 7: get all of that social media influencer attention and supermodel
- 1:46:40Speaker 7: fame that that Garners, I'm gonna throw that in this,
- 1:46:43Speaker 7: which is why she's courtsided at the NBA games in
- 1:46:47Speaker 7: the little Daisy Duke super short shorts and trying to
- 1:46:51Speaker 7: wear all of the couture at fashion week. She sees
- 1:46:54Speaker 7: herself as something other than an athlete, which is probably
- 1:46:57Speaker 7: why she diminishes the amount of money he makes on
- 1:47:01Speaker 7: her job. Is because she thinks that that's just a
- 1:47:04Speaker 7: byproduct of her being famous.
- 1:47:05Speaker 2: Because when you say things like that, just for me, well,
- 1:47:11Speaker 2: you're paying eight thousand dollars a month that some people's
- 1:47:14Speaker 2: whole yearly budget of rent, whole yearly budget. But you're
- 1:47:19Speaker 2: making it seem like it's so cavalier that you are
- 1:47:23Speaker 2: paying that much on rent. That makes people resent you.
- 1:47:29Speaker 2: So I don't understand the thirst for fame with people.
- 1:47:33Speaker 2: It's just like Jerry Jones, he's thirst for fame. Yes,
- 1:47:38Speaker 2: it's a thirst. Yes, because there's thirty one other owners.
- 1:47:44Speaker 2: Most people know about four owners outside of their team owner.
- 1:47:48Speaker 22: Right.
- 1:47:50Speaker 2: The other twenty six twenty seven owners are anonymousous people,
- 1:47:54Speaker 2: but they have this is equally kind of money as
- 1:47:56Speaker 2: Jerry Jones, same quality of life. Will be more to
- 1:48:00Speaker 2: Sports Jock Show right after this.
- 1:48:07Speaker 7: Back where I want to make this fu.
- 1:48:17Speaker 6: You don't go away.
- 1:48:23Speaker 12: More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne dam videos
- 1:48:26Speaker 12: dumbing up next.
- 1:48:27Speaker 4: And now let's talk about something exciting life insurance. Three
- 1:48:30Speaker 4: quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 1:48:34Speaker 4: of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have
- 1:48:37Speaker 4: life insurance.
- 1:48:38Speaker 29: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:48:40Speaker 29: just getting started with our family and thought we lived forever.
- 1:48:43Speaker 29: Life insurance was the last.
- 1:48:44Speaker 2: Thing on my mind.
- 1:48:45Speaker 6: What about you? Will you be leaving benefits or bills.
- 1:48:48Speaker 29: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:48:50Speaker 29: bills piling up, I was worried how my family was
- 1:48:52Speaker 29: survived without me. That's what I'm in an appointment with
- 1:48:54Speaker 29: the insurance informant.
- 1:48:55Speaker 4: Information gives you power and life. Insurance gives your family
- 1:48:58Speaker 4: security no matter what's wipe your in.
- 1:49:01Speaker 29: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I'll
- 1:49:03Speaker 29: leave my family with bills their benefits.
- 1:49:05Speaker 4: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:49:07Speaker 4: whether you earn a little or a lot, All you
- 1:49:10Speaker 4: need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 1:49:12Speaker 4: foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 1:49:16Speaker 4: two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind?
- 1:49:21Speaker 4: Log on today benefits or bills dot com. That's benefits
- 1:49:25Speaker 4: or bills dot com.
- 1:49:28Speaker 14: It's four am Monday and you're literally sucking baby snot
- 1:49:33Speaker 14: through a tube because she's congested. Man, that's love, and
- 1:49:37Speaker 14: if you love her that much, love her enough to
- 1:49:39Speaker 14: make sure she's buckled in the right car seat. To

- 1:50:10Speaker 18: So when you say you never leave your child in
- 1:50:12Speaker 18: a hot car, no, it can happen. Cars get hot fast,
- 1:50:16Speaker 18: and kids can be at risk in temperatures as low
- 1:50:18Speaker 18: as sixty degrees fair night. Never happens before you leave

- 1:50:31Speaker 8: And now back to the sports John Wayne Gandy, It's
- 1:50:38Speaker 8: time for a school bore when we put a spin
- 1:50:41Speaker 8: on life and sports and how they intermingle.
- 1:50:45Speaker 2: On the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:50:51Speaker 27: A weekend like usual, way off in and deep and
- 1:50:54Speaker 27: like usual, sweaty past us they doing too much?
- 1:50:59Speaker 6: Haven't done my Texas?
- 1:51:00Speaker 2: I'm too turned up?
- 1:51:02Speaker 27: Virgil got a paddock on my risk going nuts, called.
- 1:51:05Speaker 17: Me slipping once.
- 1:51:06Speaker 2: Okay, so what someone hit your block up?
- 1:51:09Speaker 11: I tell you if it was us man our house
- 1:51:11Speaker 11: in Rosewood, the two plus.
- 1:51:13Speaker 2: Way back to the show on this war shocking d
- 1:51:16Speaker 2: What else do we have here? Monty Williams, former head
- 1:51:20Speaker 2: coach of the Pistons, who the Pistons paid around sixty
- 1:51:24Speaker 2: million to leave. Is it NEPO? Because Mom, I'm confused
- 1:51:28Speaker 2: about the NEPO? Is it anyone? Is it nepo for
- 1:51:32Speaker 2: him to coach his sons in high school? Is that
- 1:51:34Speaker 2: NEPO if his son's got him the job.
- 1:51:39Speaker 7: No, he got the job and gave him the position
- 1:51:42Speaker 7: on the team. It sounds on the high school team.
- 1:51:45Speaker 2: Nay.
- 1:51:45Speaker 9: In the fourth grade, of course, it's NEPO.
- 1:51:48Speaker 2: With the Pistons on him. That kind of money, you
- 1:51:50Speaker 2: typically you can't go coach another NBA team or you
- 1:51:53Speaker 2: forfeit the money.
- 1:51:54Speaker 35: Uh.
- 1:51:55Speaker 2: If somewhere around sixty million they owin one of the
- 1:51:59Speaker 2: big buy outs of last season up there with the
- 1:52:02Speaker 2: Jimbo Fisher from tax I'm coaching. So he's coaching his
- 1:52:06Speaker 2: sons in high school, and I was like, well, that's NEPO.
- 1:52:09Speaker 2: That's not allowed, is it. It's not the NBA. That's
- 1:52:13Speaker 2: that's just to remind you why you signed my checks. Everything.
- 1:52:18Speaker 28: I'm saying that high school somewhere where like if he's
- 1:52:20Speaker 28: coaching and they and they're starting, Yeah, we see that
- 1:52:23Speaker 28: all the time.
- 1:52:25Speaker 2: He is he teaching the class or did they just
- 1:52:27Speaker 2: hire him as the coaches?
- 1:52:28Speaker 14: He is?
- 1:52:29Speaker 2: He he's just going to be the high school his
- 1:52:32Speaker 2: son's high school basketball coach. Why would you want him
- 1:52:35Speaker 2: in the class.
- 1:52:36Speaker 10: But I mean most coaches at high school they do
- 1:52:39Speaker 10: have a pe or that's changing, right, I know they
- 1:52:43Speaker 10: call him lay coaches here in Georgia you can bring
- 1:52:45Speaker 10: them in and but a lot of the head coaches
- 1:52:48Speaker 10: they do. You're right. In football they bring them in.
- 1:52:51Speaker 10: They don't have to pretty much teach class. But there
- 1:52:54Speaker 10: we go getting away from and I'm.
- 1:52:56Speaker 2: Quite sure money doing it for free. He's probably cool
- 1:52:59Speaker 2: with money. What y'all think. I mean, you still got
- 1:53:03Speaker 2: to give you still got one on one? Three hundred
- 1:53:10Speaker 2: dollars a week is okay for the coach?
- 1:53:13Speaker 7: I'm saying because at some point I'm sure will square
- 1:53:17Speaker 7: I'll be all right, Yeah, well that's cool.
- 1:53:20Speaker 2: Champ Bailey is over at Saint Where's he this year?
- 1:53:25Speaker 2: Holy Innocence? The Hall of Famer. Champ Bailey, his son
- 1:53:28Speaker 2: is a freshman on the football team, is that NEPO.
- 1:53:32Speaker 2: They made Champ the secondary coach.
- 1:53:34Speaker 9: Roddy of course is hey, man, your son's on the
- 1:53:39Speaker 9: thing you want to coach?
- 1:53:40Speaker 2: Yes, I do want.
- 1:53:42Speaker 9: All right, thanks, come on by when you can called
- 1:53:45Speaker 9: daddy ball.
- 1:53:46Speaker 2: So Champ Bailey just walking in and saying I want
- 1:53:48Speaker 2: to coach your secondary. You wouldn't have hired him, is
- 1:53:50Speaker 2: what you're saying.
- 1:53:51Speaker 7: No, I'm saying he could have got hired just on
- 1:53:55Speaker 7: the fact that he was Champ Bailey. He could have
- 1:53:59Speaker 7: walked on the son's football team, and you want to
- 1:54:02Speaker 7: be the a d.
- 1:54:03Speaker 2: But the fact that his son also plays is a
- 1:54:06Speaker 2: no brainer. His son is pretty good to see and
- 1:54:12Speaker 2: only that only increases the sales. Not sure he's going
- 1:54:15Speaker 2: to be as tall as Champ. But now now the
- 1:54:18Speaker 2: only thing would make Champ evaluates, so I have to
- 1:54:20Speaker 2: take it now. But you got Champ, you made varsity
- 1:54:24Speaker 2: as a freshman.
- 1:54:24Speaker 7: The only thing would make it better is if you
- 1:54:28Speaker 7: put junior on the end of the bailey. Already I'm
- 1:54:31Speaker 7: wearing so we could do the We could do the
- 1:54:34Speaker 7: Bailey Junior, and you have talent, let's let's and think
- 1:54:38Speaker 7: about it.
- 1:54:38Speaker 2: We got like Sante Samuel Junior in the league. We
- 1:54:41Speaker 2: got Joey Porter, joe Horn.
- 1:54:43Speaker 7: It's all his nipple too, and we just not patrick certain.
- 1:54:48Speaker 7: But they're not on the team with the daddy or
- 1:54:50Speaker 7: their daddy ain't on the team.
- 1:54:51Speaker 2: Were not coaching. That's why Junior is on the stillers.
- 1:54:55Speaker 2: Where's daddy? He was born but I know, but he
- 1:54:58Speaker 2: is daddy not coaching there. I remember the mom when
- 1:55:01Speaker 2: she was pregnant with him. When I first met Joey,
- 1:55:05Speaker 2: I met the baby was in Joey's in his wife's stomach. Yes,
- 1:55:09Speaker 2: and you're telling me that's the same kid.
- 1:55:11Speaker 10: Now, No, that's just called we got you, We fed you,
- 1:55:19Speaker 10: got you to that point, we just gonna bring your
- 1:55:21Speaker 10: own home.
- 1:55:26Speaker 2: He making. He used a bunch of words for it.
- 1:55:28Speaker 2: But it's that Baltimore fan has turned himself in. Remember
- 1:55:33Speaker 2: we were talking about the fight. He got fired from
- 1:55:35Speaker 2: his job. Uh, and then the police, I guess. And
- 1:55:38Speaker 2: then this is one of the rare cases where you've know,
- 1:55:40Speaker 2: you've heard, and I want to say it was one
- 1:55:43Speaker 2: other case the week before out in Arizona. Maybe they
- 1:55:45Speaker 2: were fighting. The cops did arrest the guy. So I
- 1:55:48Speaker 2: am getting some of the justice that I was talking
- 1:55:50Speaker 2: about about the fighting at the game, so y'all might
- 1:55:54Speaker 2: want to cool it, and they got your own film.
- 1:55:56Speaker 2: It seems like they're cracking down on that because you
- 1:56:01Speaker 2: got to go to one of these old stadiums and
- 1:56:03Speaker 2: fight when got way too many cameras in this, And
- 1:56:08Speaker 2: I know this.
- 1:56:09Speaker 7: Is I know this ain't the point. But I was
- 1:56:11Speaker 7: thinking to myself when you I wasn't making the connection.
- 1:56:15Speaker 7: But when you said that he had already gotten fired
- 1:56:17Speaker 7: from his job, that meant that he had been identified already,
- 1:56:21Speaker 7: because I thought he just got to fit a conscience
- 1:56:23Speaker 7: and walked in the police station, which would have disappointed
- 1:56:26Speaker 7: me because we've all been on the run from the cops.
- 1:56:29Speaker 2: Am I right?
- 1:56:33Speaker 7: A Nobody just gonna turn People got to do their job.
- 1:56:36Speaker 2: I'm saying, you got a job to do.
- 1:56:38Speaker 7: I got a job to do. Mind don't include turning
- 1:56:40Speaker 7: myself head.
- 1:56:41Speaker 2: Well, Joela Beb is not doing his job at least
- 1:56:44Speaker 2: last night. He is out and the NBA is going
- 1:56:47Speaker 2: to investigate. They're not sure why Joe la Beebe missed
- 1:56:51Speaker 2: last night game for the Sixers phil He lost to
- 1:56:56Speaker 2: Milwaukee one twenty to one. Eight. Jolo Bid did not play.
- 1:57:02Speaker 2: The NBA I guess is not cool with whatever they said.
- 1:57:06Speaker 2: It was some kind of leg management. Yeah, Ala Simmer
- 1:57:13Speaker 2: is not bying that one.
- 1:57:14Speaker 28: They're looking into what the nationally televised games. That's the
- 1:57:18Speaker 28: ones that they really want their stars to be in.
- 1:57:21Speaker 7: And and earlier this month, well, Jolinbiid, in reference to
- 1:57:26Speaker 7: another player in that player's condition, made the comment that
- 1:57:30Speaker 7: he would never play back to back games again. And
- 1:57:33Speaker 7: I don't know how you dictate that to a league,
- 1:57:36Speaker 7: but we'll see how that turns out. Well, last night
- 1:57:39Speaker 7: seems like he didn't play because he didn't want to play,
- 1:57:43Speaker 7: and so we'll see how this plays out going forward.
- 1:57:46Speaker 2: And Paul George already out for a legitimate injury, then
- 1:57:50Speaker 2: you have Jolo b out in a game that a
- 1:57:52Speaker 2: lot of these first games, remember, they fix them so
- 1:57:56Speaker 2: that they do have high ratings. It's usually a two
- 1:57:59Speaker 2: top teams that go at battle Milwaukee in Philly is
- 1:58:02Speaker 2: something they think they will see in the finals or
- 1:58:06Speaker 2: you know, definitely in the playoffs. So him being out
- 1:58:10Speaker 2: has brought a lot of eyes. And remember I juiced
- 1:58:13Speaker 2: this ticket up. I was telling you Yanna's versus a
- 1:58:17Speaker 2: bed and that's a six percent increase.
- 1:58:21Speaker 7: I tuned in last night hoping to see that matchup
- 1:58:25Speaker 7: we and only lost time.
- 1:58:30Speaker 2: So Joel of Beev under screwt men and on these
- 1:58:33Speaker 2: back to back guys, And I I was a football,
- 1:58:36Speaker 2: y'all are basketball, so I know your legs are tired.
- 1:58:39Speaker 2: Why not just play less of minutes? As a why
- 1:58:45Speaker 2: can't we do that instead of playing when you gotta
- 1:58:48Speaker 2: play more minutes? But we're gonna limit your minutes in
- 1:58:52Speaker 2: the back to back game. So the first game you
- 1:58:55Speaker 2: give us your regular forty minutes, but when we go
- 1:58:57Speaker 2: the next night, I might only pay you twenty eight minutes.
- 1:59:01Speaker 7: Yeah, and then with the other twenty minutes, maybe you
- 1:59:04Speaker 7: could get physically conditioned to play professional sports.
- 1:59:08Speaker 2: And we are in the ocean.
- 1:59:12Speaker 6: The truth is he will throw your in the ocean.
- 1:59:16Speaker 26: It's time to wrap things up on the Sports Junk
- 1:59:19Speaker 26: Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:59:39Speaker 2: When you're thousand those SHI gets the Sportshock just a
- 1:59:41Speaker 2: minute to event. We'd like to thank you for tuning
- 1:59:43Speaker 2: in this week to the Sports Shock Show. We hope
- 1:59:46Speaker 2: we gave you some kind of lab entertainment and insight.

- 2:00:06Speaker 2: any of the show, go for the replay today. I'm
- 2:00:10Speaker 2: bringing on somebody onto the ship. A marathon twenty six
- 2:00:16Speaker 2: miles is already hard to run. This young man to
- 2:00:21Speaker 2: raise money for domestic violence, ran the Chicago marathon in
- 2:00:27Speaker 2: High Hill. Curtis Hartgrove, the thirty five year old and
- 2:00:35Speaker 2: three inch red heels to raise money for domestic violence,
- 2:00:40Speaker 2: ran the marathon. Now, I like to see those feet
- 2:00:45Speaker 2: after that. I'm not a foot person, but I would
- 2:00:47Speaker 2: have loved to see what that foot looked like. High
- 2:00:51Speaker 2: heels for twenty six miles. I can't even run twenty
- 2:00:55Speaker 2: six miles period, and the most comfortable shoes in the planet,
- 2:00:58Speaker 2: I can't run twenty six miles. So I have to
- 2:01:01Speaker 2: bring this man on for a great cause as well.
- 2:01:04Speaker 2: Raised over fifty thousand dollars by doing this for domestic violince.
- 2:01:10Speaker 7: So Curtis Heartgrove, he remember Isaac Hay's biktowen I'm gonna
- 2:01:20Speaker 7: get you sucking.
- 2:01:24Speaker 9: That's what his feet probably looked like.
- 2:01:26Speaker 2: I can run it twenty six miles from here and
- 2:01:28Speaker 2: I'm just sure the capitalistic country we are. Somebody called
- 2:01:32Speaker 2: him with a shoe and shoe contrast. You know, a
- 2:01:34Speaker 2: shoe deal instantly after the marathon. But we hope you
- 2:01:39Speaker 2: have a good We can enjoy sports as we always
- 2:01:43Speaker 2: do with all the football, and we'll see you in
- 2:01:45Speaker 2: the future from the sports shop. Show peace.
