Former Alabama punter James Burnip is headed to the Toronto Argonauts in the CFL, traded from the Ottawa Redblacks in a deal involving a conditional 2027 draft pick. Burnip, who set Alabama’s second-best punting average at 43.9 yards per punt, briefly joined the New Orleans Saints last year without making the roster.
