- 0:01Speaker 1: Look, I'm coming into work and I'm I'm trying to
- 0:04Speaker 1: absorb these stories.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Let me get let me get this straight ready.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Who's behind the burning need to have foot washing stations
- 0:14Speaker 1: at the DFW Airport. There's got to be somebody behind it, right,
- 0:17Speaker 1: There's gotta be in a group.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Is maybe they maybe the people who ponied up the
- 0:23Speaker 3: three hundred thousand dollars. State Senator Tan Parker had that
- 0:26Speaker 3: exact question in a letter he wrote to the airport.
- 0:29Speaker 3: He'll join us at eight thirty five this morning to
- 0:31Speaker 3: ask that very question. You are on target, do we No? No,
- 0:36Speaker 3: there's a lot we don't know about how we can
- 0:37Speaker 3: And here's my other.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Question about the foot washing stations at the DFW airport.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Where are the Christian only facilities at the DFW Airport?
- 0:47Speaker 1: Where are the can you?
- 0:47Speaker 2: Can you IDENTI let's ask because you and I did.
- 0:51Speaker 3: We covered a little bit of this on the radio
- 0:53Speaker 3: and a good bit of it on the podcast, and
- 0:54Speaker 3: I have a feeling it comes back on the podcast
- 0:56Speaker 3: today because I just caught a wave of reaction and
- 0:59Speaker 3: emotion and some of it was that. So here's here's
- 1:02Speaker 3: the test, and that would be this, is there anything
- 1:06Speaker 3: that Christians uniquely need that they may have petitioned the
- 1:10Speaker 3: airport for that was turned down. Or is there anything
- 1:12Speaker 3: that Christians uniquely need that the that the airport does
- 1:16Speaker 3: not have and should have.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Well, I mean you're you're making this way more complicated.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Than well, no, I'm asking I'm asking for consistency. I'm
- 1:23Speaker 3: asking the question.
- 1:24Speaker 1: The consistency is you're you're you're adding a caveat where
- 1:27Speaker 1: they turned down, which is fair, and that's.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Then take that away. Is there anything, does anything occur?
- 1:33Speaker 3: I don't guarantee the chapels.
- 1:35Speaker 1: I guarantee you the chapels a DFW are non denominational.
- 1:39Speaker 1: I can promise you they are non denominational. If you're
- 1:43Speaker 1: if you're Jewish, you can use that capel.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Sit tight on sit tight on that because you may
- 1:48Speaker 3: have stumbled over the thing. That really does make your
- 1:50Speaker 3: point better than the foot washing stations thing does, because
- 1:53Speaker 3: a chapel absolutely should be non denominational. There's a lady,
- 1:58Speaker 3: and again that may just be a woman walking the
- 2:00Speaker 3: concourse level. There's some viral video of her saying the
- 2:04Speaker 3: DFW airport used to have like three chapels. I think
- 2:06Speaker 3: now it's two and I went into one. And as
- 2:10Speaker 3: far as being non denominational, there's there's any Jesus across
- 2:14Speaker 3: up in there anything but what she did find. Prayer rugs, Well,
- 2:18Speaker 3: there you go.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I mean, and when you say they should be no
- 2:22Speaker 1: non denominational, they should be no, no, no, they shouldn't
- 2:24Speaker 1: not anymore, not anymore.
- 2:27Speaker 2: What you're talking about.
- 2:27Speaker 1: If you're gonna have Muslim food washing stations in the bathrooms,
- 2:31Speaker 1: I want a I want a Southern Baptist in fired chapel,
- 2:35Speaker 1: in terminal seat.
- 2:37Speaker 2: What do you mean why should it be non denomination Well, chapel,
- 2:41Speaker 2: the chapel is, the chapel is for worship.
- 2:43Speaker 3: What's it's non denominational about a Muslim food washing station? Well,
- 2:48Speaker 3: the non denominational thing is a chapel thing. As far
- 2:51Speaker 3: as the argument goes that, I'm right here to tell
- 2:53Speaker 3: you a thing unique to somebody's religion, no, I know, indeed,
- 2:57Speaker 3: so for consistency's sake. And it's kind of funny that
- 2:59Speaker 3: we're getting testing because I'm going to end up but
- 3:02Speaker 3: I'm going to end up agreeing with you. Where did
- 3:04Speaker 3: the need, where did the need for this arise? What
- 3:07Speaker 3: is it? And and the people who just kind of
- 3:09Speaker 3: looked at this. Ascanson said, wait a minute, this this
- 3:12Speaker 3: seems to be of a type of the thing that
- 3:14Speaker 3: just says, we just got to have the Third World
- 3:17Speaker 3: trappings of every single thing in an airport in Dallas
- 3:21Speaker 3: Fort Worth, and somehow, for fifty plus years we lived
- 3:24Speaker 3: without it.
- 3:25Speaker 1: And my point is now that there are Muslim oriented
- 3:29Speaker 1: facilities in the airport, forget the non denominational bs.
- 3:33Speaker 2: No, I'm just what, No, why do you disagree with that?
- 3:37Speaker 3: Because denominationalism, Because denominationalism does not apply to the bathroom.
- 3:43Speaker 1: It's a it is a religious affiliated room accommodation.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Mark because because these folks, because these folks have apparently
- 3:53Speaker 3: a religious.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Exercise that exactly religious.
- 3:57Speaker 1: So guess what, I have a religious need to go
- 3:59Speaker 1: to a Christian chapel before I get on the American
- 4:02Speaker 1: Airlines flight to tap.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Okay, well, I don't understand why you you scoff at.
- 4:06Speaker 3: That, because it's not apples and apples. But I get
- 4:09Speaker 3: your part, totally get this is.
- 4:12Speaker 1: A specific accommodation based on someone's religious requirements and needs
- 4:17Speaker 1: and affiliation. And my point is Christians don't get that
- 4:20Speaker 1: kind of accommodation at the DFW Airport. I guarantee you
- 4:24Speaker 1: if I did a gofund me, if you and I decided,
- 4:26Speaker 1: right now, let's raise three hundred thousand dollars to build
- 4:29Speaker 1: a Christian chapel at Interminal A at the DFW Airport
- 4:35Speaker 1: with a big old Jesus Cross on the wall. We
- 4:41Speaker 1: have it raised in a half hour, and it would
- 4:43Speaker 1: be and then guess what. Then we ought to go
- 4:45Speaker 1: to the DFW Airport and say, you know what, you're
- 4:47Speaker 1: accommodating Muslims with foot washing stations thousands.
- 4:51Speaker 3: And you know what, and to your point, and this
- 4:53Speaker 3: really is a good one. It's not just hygienic. The
- 4:55Speaker 3: foot washing thing does have a religious component. It is
- 4:58Speaker 3: the faith. It is the faith that says to do this.
- 5:00Speaker 3: It's uniquely religious. That's the point.
- 5:03Speaker 1: And so is a chapel, So is a so is
- 5:05Speaker 1: a pew, so is a Bible, so is anything else.
- 5:08Speaker 1: If you're going to accommodate Islam, by gosh, accommodate Christianity.
- 5:14Speaker 1: That's all I'm saying. And I'm it's it's it's so
- 5:16Speaker 1: crazy that we even and and you know what, I
- 5:19Speaker 1: know where your heart is. I know what you're saying.
- 5:21Speaker 1: But the problem is unless the foot washing stations come down, well,
- 5:25Speaker 1: then you're going to be stuck with this terrible double standard.
- 5:29Speaker 1: And and and rather we'll say, oh, well, the chapels
- 5:32Speaker 1: ought to be non denominational, but the muzzles they can
- 5:34Speaker 1: have their foot washing stations. And that's just life. We
- 5:36Speaker 1: shouldn't accept that mark. We shouldn't accept that there's something
- 5:39Speaker 1: wrong with that. And and and uh, I'm just tired
- 5:42Speaker 1: of it.
- 5:42Speaker 3: And then this is well and against the backdrop to TiO, well, no.
- 5:48Speaker 1: I want to go to the the NPR foot rubs
- 5:50Speaker 1: speaking of feet of James Talerico and get.
- 5:54Speaker 3: Ready, after you and I finished clinical under the microscope,
- 5:58Speaker 3: is this worth setting our hair on fire kind of thing?
- 6:01Speaker 3: I think the rest of the day, yesterday and overnight,
- 6:03Speaker 3: and I certainly hear you and I feel myself with
- 6:06Speaker 3: a kind of a different view on this that this
- 6:08Speaker 3: doesn't take.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Place in a vacuum.
- 6:09Speaker 3: It's not a clinical analytical thing as much anymore as
- 6:13Speaker 3: we see the tenets and tentacles of radical Islam working
- 6:17Speaker 3: into North Texas in ways where some people absolutely intend
- 6:22Speaker 3: to subvert our culture, subvert our law. And while this
- 6:24Speaker 3: might not be an attempt to set up a Sharia
- 6:27Speaker 3: terminal or anything like that. It's just something else and
- 6:31Speaker 3: people ain't having it.
- 6:32Speaker 1: People, and it's you said this earlier, and you said
- 6:36Speaker 1: it so well. It's incremental. It's happening in spits, in
- 6:40Speaker 1: spurts and fits, it's happening step by step, and it's incremental.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Today it's foot washing stations. Then tomorrow we're going to
- 6:47Speaker 1: have to have a mosque, and I'm just not having
- 6:50Speaker 1: it because again following the Mark Davis consistency test, then
- 6:55Speaker 1: let's make sure we drop the non denominational facade. There
- 6:59Speaker 1: is no non denominational about a Muslim footpath in the
- 7:03Speaker 1: men's room in the terminal at the DFW airport. Now,
- 7:06Speaker 1: how about Tallarico. Another clip has emerged where he called
- 7:10Speaker 1: teaching the Bible to children propaganda. Yep, he calls morally,
- 7:15Speaker 1: called it morally.
- 7:16Speaker 3: Just say it had had an adjective attached to it
- 7:18Speaker 3: where it was like a moral outrage to be teaching
- 7:20Speaker 3: these kids Bible precepts and.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Called it propaganda. Said that it's wrong that he said
- 7:26Speaker 1: another thing, and he goes, I'm very very upset about this.
- 7:29Speaker 1: He said, I'm very worried about you know, kindergarteners being
- 7:33Speaker 1: taught the Bible, and you know it's the old crap,
- 7:35Speaker 1: the canard, the separation of church and state. But this
- 7:39Speaker 1: is a guy who's supposed to be spiritual.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Right.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Check out check out the NPR headline, this is a
- 7:45Speaker 1: true story. August tenth, twenty twenty six, NPR dot org
- 7:51Speaker 1: dot com. By the way, because they are you know,
- 7:53Speaker 1: they're a government entity that we help fund. NPR dot
- 7:56Speaker 1: org headline, I'm not kidding you. Faith is a centerpiece
- 8:01Speaker 1: of Texas Senate candidate James Tallerco's campaign. Wow, they're making
- 8:06Speaker 1: the case that religion and faith and Christianity. He's making
- 8:12Speaker 1: faith a centerpiece. He's focusing on biblical reasons to support healthcare.
- 8:21Speaker 1: You know that means, oh yeah, here we go healthcare.
- 8:24Speaker 1: We know what health that means ripping that baby out
- 8:26Speaker 1: of the womb. That's the kind of healthcare NPR likes.
- 8:29Speaker 3: And the other type of healthcare is destroying the healthy
- 8:32Speaker 3: genitals of children.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Right.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Jason Derouz, NPR's religion correspondent, spent time on the tall
- 8:39Speaker 1: Rico campaign to learn how his faith based message is
- 8:44Speaker 1: playing with voters. Hey, NPR, call me, I can tell
- 8:47Speaker 1: you call Mark Davis. It ain't playing well, it ain't
- 8:50Speaker 1: going well.
- 8:50Speaker 2: This is just thirty seconds. I think this is it.
- 8:52Speaker 3: I found the taller Eco quote where he's talking about
- 8:54Speaker 3: how insidious it is and deeply immral hang on you.
- 8:57Speaker 4: One is maybe the most insidious. It was a new
- 9:00Speaker 4: state curriculum that would teach Christian Bible stories as historical fact,
- 9:06Speaker 4: as the only truth to our youngest students, and I
- 9:09Speaker 4: mean kindergarten first graders. These are kids who aren't able
- 9:13Speaker 4: to think for themselves yet, they haven't formed their own worlds,
- 9:18Speaker 4: and pushed propaganda to push indoctrination on those youngest students
- 9:25Speaker 4: is deeply immoral.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Well, first, he's mischaracterizing it enormously, because what this push
- 9:30Speaker 3: is is to make sure that kids, once they come
- 9:32Speaker 3: through the Texas school system know what the Bible is
- 9:35Speaker 3: and how important foundations are culture and the history of
- 9:38Speaker 3: our nation. It is not proselytization. It is not, by
- 9:43Speaker 3: the way, some parts of the Bible absolutely are historical fact.
- 9:47Speaker 3: It's not all just you know, ethereal faith articles. So wow,
- 9:51Speaker 3: that is so hostile towards scripture from a guy who
- 9:55Speaker 3: supposedly is running a a faith based camp.
- 9:58Speaker 1: And it's gaslighting from a media entity like NPR. It's
- 10:02Speaker 1: total gaslighting. Uh, they're they're like pretending this guy is
- 10:06Speaker 1: some kind of arbiter of faith when he's anything. You
- 10:09Speaker 1: ask any Christian, well, how do you feel about somebody
- 10:12Speaker 1: who believes that teaching a child the Bible the scripture
- 10:16Speaker 1: is propaganda and you're doctrinating a child. Doctor, Yeah, I'm
- 10:21Speaker 1: I want to indoctrinate that child, tallerygo look.
- 10:24Speaker 3: And this man also said that since God gave Mary
- 10:28Speaker 3: a choice as to whether or not to carry baby Jesus,
- 10:31Speaker 3: that means abortion is okay.
- 10:34Speaker 1: That's the wow. That's the faith based campaign of James Telco.
- 10:38Speaker 1: And finally, on talking to the subject to babies, I again,
- 10:42Speaker 1: I feel like I'm in La la land. I'm listening
- 10:45Speaker 1: to you analyze a story. Let me talk to me
- 10:49Speaker 1: like I'm I just got here from Mars. All right,
- 10:52Speaker 1: just landed. My name is Captain from Mars. I'm dork
- 10:59Speaker 1: Ma from I'm dork Ma from Mars.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Welcome to do Davis.
- 11:03Speaker 1: You're a well known talk show host as a representing
- 11:06Speaker 1: the people of Mars. I've got a question for you.
- 11:09Speaker 1: There's a couple that hired a woman to bring a
- 11:13Speaker 1: baby into the world.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Correct.
- 11:15Speaker 1: They found out that the baby was going to have
- 11:17Speaker 1: a health challenge, so they wanted to kill the baby
- 11:21Speaker 1: in the womb. They wanted the surrogate mom to abort
- 11:24Speaker 1: the baby. Am I do I have this correct?
- 11:26Speaker 2: So far from Martian receptors? Thank you all.
- 11:30Speaker 1: All of my my phasers are unstun and I'm trying
- 11:33Speaker 1: to understand this. The mother has a belief that that
- 11:37Speaker 1: would be wrong, that would be immoral, that would be inappropriate.
- 11:41Speaker 1: The surrogate mother, so she she wants to have the baby.
- 11:44Speaker 1: She has the baby. Praise God or and we as
- 11:47Speaker 1: we said, and Marsha, Praisefa's right. So she has the baby.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Now the couple that didn't want the baby now want
- 11:56Speaker 1: to keep the baby.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Can you make it make sense? Learned to okay?
- 12:01Speaker 3: Here here through the fifty million miles of intervening space,
- 12:04Speaker 3: is impossible that this couple has had.
- 12:06Speaker 1: A mister Davis that learn talk shows. Then their their
- 12:12Speaker 1: attorneys is reflecting that change of Mark right.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Know, Orgon.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Doesn't understand, wants to know what if the attorneys say
- 12:24Speaker 1: Mark the attorney said.
- 12:26Speaker 3: Orgon, The attorneys have bagged on the heroic surrogate mom
- 12:30Speaker 3: and suggested that it was a horrible thing done to
- 12:32Speaker 3: them and that these parents are the actual victims as
- 12:35Speaker 3: they try to spend time with their precious baby, whom
- 12:37Speaker 3: recently they try.
- 12:38Speaker 2: It does not your Martian. Your Martian logic is a point. Look,
- 12:43Speaker 2: I'm getting out, well I can. I'll see you later.
- 12:45Speaker 2: I'm back to Mars. Love you see on the podcast
- 12:48Speaker 2: every Friday,
