- 0:20Speaker 2: For the Dads. If you are watching on YouTube right
- 0:22Speaker 2: now or you are listening currently, make sure you're subscribed
- 0:25Speaker 2: to following our channels. This is our year end episode.
- 0:28Speaker 2: So with this episode over the last six months. Over
- 0:31Speaker 2: the last six months, we've been standing up this project
- 0:34Speaker 2: afore The Dads. We had no clue what it would
- 0:36Speaker 2: look like. We just know we wanted to have a
- 0:37Speaker 2: show where we embrace fatherhood, the highs and lows, the
- 0:40Speaker 2: best parts of parenthood, the chaos in parenthood, not shy
- 0:44Speaker 2: away and try and be this perfect cookie cutter approach
- 0:46Speaker 2: to what parenthood looks like. Talk about the things that
- 0:49Speaker 2: we talk about as dads, whether we're in the garage
- 0:51Speaker 2: and the house with our wives, whatever. It is a
- 0:54Speaker 2: lot of these moments will be in the episode. A
- 0:57Speaker 2: big shout out to you guys. Our favorite part of
- 1:00Speaker 2: doing this show and having this brand is the community aspect,
- 1:05Speaker 2: because again throughout the last six months, we've grown to
- 1:08Speaker 2: learn that it's not only Papa Team six and dads
- 1:10Speaker 2: that listen to the show. It's moms, wives, husbands, people
- 1:15Speaker 2: in relationships, people that aren't even in a relationship, and
- 1:17Speaker 2: they're just fired up for what fatherhood might look like
- 1:20Speaker 2: one day. Just a combination of everybody, and it has
- 1:25Speaker 2: been really cool to create this brand. And again all
- 1:28Speaker 2: we ask is that if you are into listening to
- 1:31Speaker 2: our show, is just simply subscribed to the channel. It
- 1:34Speaker 2: helps us out a lot. We have a lot of
- 1:35Speaker 2: cool things cooking for the year of twenty twenty six,
- 1:39Speaker 2: partners coming on board, and again it's all because of
- 1:42Speaker 2: the community that we've built, the Papa Team six community.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Not to shout out one, but to also shout out one.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Ali Pop will be will be joining the brand in
- 1:49Speaker 2: twenties twenty six because of the videos, the comments and
- 1:53Speaker 2: everything that we talk about on social media. So again,
- 1:56Speaker 2: massive thank you to you guys. I hope you had
- 1:58Speaker 2: an incredible twenty twenty five and even if if there
- 2:00Speaker 2: were lows in your twenty twenty five man, reflect on it,
- 2:03Speaker 2: figure out what drained you, figure out things that you
- 2:06Speaker 2: could learn on and improve on, things that gave you
- 2:08Speaker 2: energy to have a kick ass twenty twenty six. But
- 2:13Speaker 2: thank you again. Enjoy this episode for the dads with
- 2:15Speaker 2: all of our best moments. And if you want to
- 2:18Speaker 2: support our brand even more and you want to be
- 2:20Speaker 2: a part of Papa Team six or this community in general,
- 2:24Speaker 2: you go to bwtv dot com and by merchandise, that
- 2:28Speaker 2: is where our store is. But we love you, guys,
- 2:30Speaker 2: We appreciate you, guys. It has been an incredible year.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Thank you, guys, and enjoy this episode for the dads.

- 3:07Speaker 2: and Sherm's heart. It's something that I know, we are
- 3:10Speaker 2: super excited about but at the same time, with this
- 3:12Speaker 2: being our first episode, we're kind of in a different studio.
- 3:15Speaker 3: Lights are off.
- 3:16Speaker 1: This being our first one, it's very nerve wrecking.
- 3:20Speaker 3: But my wife and.

- 3:24Speaker 2: Joe Lee. And with me, who is the producer of

- 3:56Speaker 3: Played one year of high school football, arguably two Uh,
- 4:01Speaker 3: married for a year and some change to my wife
- 4:05Speaker 3: Jilly Bean or Jill Young in future future. Dad, I
- 4:11Speaker 3: have a baby on the way, uh and I have
- 4:14Speaker 3: some news on that, so I don't want to like
- 4:16Speaker 3: spoil it, but I got some you got some updates.
- 4:18Speaker 3: I got some breaking updates, did you guys? Came up
- 4:20Speaker 3: from Texas. Came up from Texas from Fort Worth, Alito
- 4:24Speaker 3: to be more specific if you're from the DFW area.
- 4:29Speaker 3: And yeah, just kind of was sending memes and stuff
- 4:32Speaker 3: on Twitter to Will and Taylor uh and barraging. We
- 4:36Speaker 3: have Garrett here too, that's helping us with the cameras.
- 4:39Speaker 3: Was in Garrett's DMS, everybody's dms. Just busting. Please hire me.
- 4:44Speaker 3: I've been in like film production for quite a while
- 4:48Speaker 3: and then commercial production as well. Did some directing and
- 4:51Speaker 3: producing and we'll get into that.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Yeah, you have a bad ass creative mind and you
- 4:56Speaker 2: crush it with busting with the boys, You're going to
- 4:58Speaker 2: crush off for the dads. I feel like, thank you
- 5:00Speaker 2: your your positive energy that I feel like people have
- 5:03Speaker 2: gotten glimpses of. I'm very excited for you to kind
- 5:06Speaker 2: of co host this show with me.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Going into the day was incredible. Jill's a nurse. She
- 5:11Speaker 3: is always prepared for the worst because she knows what
- 5:15Speaker 3: the worst can be. And we know that every single
- 5:19Speaker 3: birthing experience is different, every delivery experience is different. We've
- 5:24Speaker 3: got to hear about Will's forty eight hour scenario, forty
- 5:28Speaker 3: eight hour labor with sweet Charles in at four centimeters,
- 5:33Speaker 3: and that texted me said, we're four cinemets right now.
- 5:37Speaker 3: I truly I texted Will because we get Yeah, let's
- 5:41Speaker 3: skip to that. I'll skip to that point. We we
- 5:45Speaker 3: fall asleep. We both fell asleep the very first night,
- 5:48Speaker 3: so we get in there. I was blessed with a
- 5:51Speaker 3: recliner chair.
- 5:52Speaker 1: You son of a bit. I know you had a recliner.
- 5:56Speaker 3: I didn't even want to say it. Are you even
- 5:59Speaker 3: a Papa Seal, not if you didn't sleep on the couch.
- 6:02Speaker 3: I if you have your master's in Papa Team six.
- 6:05Speaker 3: I am quite literally freshman year of my undergrad in
- 6:09Speaker 3: Papa Team six.
- 6:10Speaker 2: We need to make something where you can put like
- 6:12Speaker 2: the little patches. Oh yeah, and so you almost know like, oh,
- 6:16Speaker 2: he experienced the couch.
- 6:17Speaker 3: You're a five star general, That's what I'm saying. Yeah,
- 6:20Speaker 3: you ain't gonna get that patch. No, I'm a private.
- 6:22Speaker 3: I'm a I'm a buck private and in Papa Team six,
- 6:26Speaker 3: and I'm sending in my.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Skip the line, you get a recliner. Hey, let me
- 6:30Speaker 2: let me say it's good for you. I am at
- 6:31Speaker 2: before you that I am a little envious. Yeah, you
- 6:33Speaker 2: know a lot of dads out there right now pounding on.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Their steering wheel. Oh, you didn't have to sleep on
- 6:39Speaker 1: a couch.
- 6:39Speaker 3: I sent it to the boys in the I have
- 6:41Speaker 3: a college group chat shout out Mike Evans. Don't know
- 6:44Speaker 3: what that means, but I sent that picture of the recliner.
- 6:48Speaker 3: I'm sure some of those dads in there. Fuck.
- 6:51Speaker 1: It's almost like that's how you earn your stripes.
- 6:54Speaker 3: Oh yeah, now that was the delivery room. I will
- 6:57Speaker 3: say post delivery room, no recliner. The couch was terrible.
- 7:04Speaker 3: But how long were you in this post delivery room? Oh?
- 7:07Speaker 3: A full day into the night, and then another full
- 7:11Speaker 3: day to about uh seven pm.
- 7:14Speaker 1: So you slept on the couch.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Slept on the couch. Are you lying to me? Not
- 7:18Speaker 3: lying to you? Are you lying to me? I'm not
- 7:20Speaker 3: lying to you.
- 7:21Speaker 1: I can call Jill if I need you slept on
- 7:23Speaker 1: the couch.
- 7:25Speaker 3: She might tell you that I slept too much on
- 7:26Speaker 3: the couch. Okay, all she might tell you I slept
- 7:29Speaker 3: too much on the couch. But anytime we FaceTime, you
- 7:32Speaker 3: look vibrant.
- 7:34Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying.
- 7:34Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying.
- 7:36Speaker 2: We had what did somebody? They said somebody on here. Yeah,
- 7:40Speaker 2: Sean was like twelve hours is insaaning? You talking about
- 7:42Speaker 2: how you slept twelve hours last week? My nine month
- 7:45Speaker 2: old boy's teething right now and we woke up six
- 7:47Speaker 2: times last night.
- 7:48Speaker 3: It's all part of it. Hope everything goes well, Shirm. Hey.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Let you know, Sean, it sounds like everything went very
- 7:53Speaker 2: well for our boy, for our boys.
- 7:55Speaker 3: Shirm doing great. You mentioned you got you got a
- 7:58Speaker 3: Manny petty while you were in there. We had we
- 8:01Speaker 3: have the Roku stick huge dad hack. We brought the
- 8:04Speaker 3: Roku stick in there so we are extreame smart. It
- 8:07Speaker 3: was incredible. We got Tommy Boy uh rolling on the
- 8:11Speaker 3: TV Jill and never seen Tommy Boy. Shout out Tommy Boy. Nice.
- 8:14Speaker 3: But Jill's overall note was I want to have fun
- 8:19Speaker 3: and keep the mood light going into labor. That is
- 8:22Speaker 3: my only assignment to you, Sherman is I want to
- 8:24Speaker 3: keep it light. And I don't know if people that
- 8:27Speaker 3: follow me on Twitter Instagram saw that college football hype
- 8:30Speaker 3: video style, I put it to scrilla Oh, buddy.
- 8:34Speaker 1: It was awesome. I loved watching it.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Made that high video. I didn't show it to her
- 8:38Speaker 3: right before delivery, as I'm sure people that we're reading
- 8:42Speaker 3: it and this fucking.
- 8:43Speaker 1: My question I have is, uh, was she the one
- 8:46Speaker 1: filming you?
- 8:47Speaker 3: She wanted to Yeah, she wanted to film me.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Okay, so that shot.
- 8:51Speaker 2: When you when you're sitting there in your headphones and
- 8:52Speaker 2: going on like laughing to myself, thinking, are they hit
- 8:55Speaker 2: the hostle right now? Jilly Bean, you mind you might
- 8:59Speaker 2: just hit a little recording for me? Is I just
- 9:01Speaker 2: kind of sit with my headphones on.
- 9:02Speaker 3: There's four people in the waiting room watching it go
- 9:06Speaker 3: down too, and they're probably looking at us like these
- 9:08Speaker 3: fucking idiots they.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Pay just a quick time out. Are you are people
- 9:13Speaker 1: hearing this?
- 9:15Speaker 3: I would assume they hear the rain, but not to
- 9:17Speaker 3: the degree that would be like, it's pretty loud right now.
- 9:20Speaker 3: It is? Right now? It is, But even with the
- 9:25Speaker 3: AC that was like running in the back. Oh, it
- 9:27Speaker 3: just got even louder.
- 9:28Speaker 1: I know, I know.
- 9:31Speaker 3: We might want to wait for it to die down
- 9:33Speaker 3: just a little bit, or we can press on take five.
- 9:36Speaker 1: We can take five, but we got to keep it
- 9:37Speaker 1: under an hour.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Fuck, all right, we're back. Sorry for the quick interruption.
- 9:43Speaker 2: It was as as a dadou was say it was
- 9:46Speaker 2: raining cats and dogs outside, it's raining cats and dogs,
- 9:48Speaker 2: and say, you see I got some I got some
- 9:50Speaker 2: rain on me right now. But we had to adapt,
- 9:53Speaker 2: We had to improvise. We had to overcome as is parenting.
- 9:57Speaker 3: Yes, welcome to for the dad's news s.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, we had to. We had to just get
- 10:02Speaker 2: on the bus because it helps with the sound. Is
- 10:04Speaker 2: the rain was getting so loud. I don't know if
- 10:06Speaker 2: you guys were hearing it in your audio, but it
- 10:07Speaker 2: gets so loud at Chirm's voice gets a little bit
- 10:10Speaker 2: more faint.
- 10:10Speaker 1: So we had to make a pivot. We had to
- 10:11Speaker 1: make a call because we got to keep this under ant.
- 10:13Speaker 1: We gotta keep it on. I got to keep it
- 10:15Speaker 1: under an hour.
- 10:16Speaker 3: I told Jill two thirty it's one forty three.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll keep it.
- 10:19Speaker 3: We'll keep it under an hour. And you know it.
- 10:22Speaker 1: I don't want to talk hypotheticals, talk hypothetically.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Uddie, I love you. I'm gonna make it to that.
- 10:28Speaker 1: But if you're home at two thirty seven, that's fine.
- 10:31Speaker 1: It's a dad loss, dad loss. Good for the show.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Great for the show.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Well, we had to make a change, so we're we're
- 10:38Speaker 2: in a different studio right now. We're on the bus
- 10:39Speaker 2: with the boys studio.
- 10:40Speaker 1: I appreciate you doing.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Make sure you subscribe, but sometimes you gotta you gotta
- 10:44Speaker 2: adapt on the the environment, the elements get to you.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Yeah, we got some elements.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Sometimes you're gonna want to be at a pool thinking
- 10:50Speaker 2: you're gonna be at the pool for about four hours
- 10:51Speaker 2: and it's gonna cut short and go to two because
- 10:53Speaker 2: someone's losing their mind.
- 10:54Speaker 1: I'm talking to you.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Rue, but uh, carry on with a on with your story.
- 11:00Speaker 2: I kind of forgot where we were, but I did
- 11:03Speaker 2: have a one of the odds, Oh you have?
- 11:06Speaker 1: I had what are the odds? I like that, what
- 11:08Speaker 1: are the odds? Shout out the shout out the partner
- 11:10Speaker 1: fan duel in the background. But I had a what
- 11:12Speaker 1: are the odds? What are the odds that Jill stayed
- 11:18Speaker 1: at fort?
- 11:21Speaker 3: Was that Mitch, it's Matt, Yeah, we're recording, Hey, shout out.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Matt entered Matt, what are the odds.
- 11:28Speaker 2: That Jill sat at four centimeters over under an hour?
- 11:36Speaker 2: What are the odds that you had an incredibly smooth delivery,
- 11:42Speaker 2: one that a lot of parents would be jealous.
- 11:46Speaker 3: Of, one that people legitimately would get angry about, like
- 11:51Speaker 3: when I facetimed you, uh, yesterday and you were checking
- 11:54Speaker 3: in on the fam and yeah, how to go blah
- 11:57Speaker 3: blah blah, Like a part of me. It hurt a
- 12:00Speaker 3: part of me to tell you how our experience went.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Because it was so good.
- 12:04Speaker 3: It was just what everybody wants, which is what everybody
- 12:07Speaker 3: if you have.
- 12:07Speaker 2: An experience like I'm thinking like mine, like who knows
- 12:09Speaker 2: how it's gonna go in there?
- 12:11Speaker 1: Then you're out great. Everything was if anything, as.
- 12:14Speaker 2: A dad, I don't want to tell Charle Housmouth it
- 12:17Speaker 2: went yeah, because she's gonna.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Be off, just kidding, she's gonna no, no, no.
- 12:22Speaker 3: But truly, I mean for some of these moms and stuff,
- 12:24Speaker 3: like they get there too late. They don't get there epidural.
- 12:27Speaker 1: What everybody everybody hopes for. The delivery you're about to
- 12:32Speaker 1: tell us about.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Of course, and Jill, I mean absolutely kills it. My
- 12:36Speaker 3: one of my favorite moments I'll never forget is we
- 12:40Speaker 3: uh both fall sleep, Jill, though it's like sleeping in
- 12:43Speaker 3: our intervals or like an hour thirty interval because nurse
- 12:47Speaker 3: is coming in and checking her because they gave her
- 12:50Speaker 3: the induction in the mouth, and I forget the name
- 12:53Speaker 3: of that pill, but that's not the potosin. That's not
- 12:56Speaker 3: the it's the one before potosin, pre potosin pill. So
- 13:02Speaker 3: they give her pre potosent pill. It did, it didn't
- 13:04Speaker 3: really do anything. So during the middle of the night
- 13:08Speaker 3: while I'm snooze on recliner being dead of the year, they.
- 13:12Speaker 1: I sweet, know, I just edited up this video. You
- 13:14Speaker 1: did a great job in the past.
- 13:16Speaker 3: I would just literally what I did.
- 13:18Speaker 1: You got over there.
- 13:22Speaker 3: I'm in the recliner doing this. I'm going like this
- 13:25Speaker 3: here in the bed. I'm holding her hand like truly
- 13:29Speaker 3: was so comfy, dude. It's kind of insane how well
- 13:33Speaker 3: it was.
- 13:34Speaker 1: This is you and the recliner.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Yes, this is me and a recliner with Jill brought
- 13:39Speaker 3: these like silk pillows and I have a barefoot Dreams blanket, like.
- 13:43Speaker 1: I'll tell you what you hat like your survival kid
- 13:46Speaker 1: was ready.
- 13:46Speaker 3: To go because of Jilly be I mean, Jill was
- 13:49Speaker 3: so freaking dial dude. And when we have more time,
- 13:53Speaker 3: I want to do a full survival kit breakdown. To
- 13:56Speaker 3: everybody because it looked like we're going on a two
- 13:58Speaker 3: week vacation with the bags that we were bringing in
- 14:01Speaker 3: worth we used every single thing we brought, and I
- 14:05Speaker 3: swear to god we did because the luggage, it may
- 14:09Speaker 3: look like that was all closed. It was really like
- 14:11Speaker 3: a ton of gear burp cloths, diapers. Uh was it
- 14:17Speaker 3: called a premie diaper? Because uh Scarlet was tiny five
- 14:22Speaker 3: five pounds seven ounces when she came out five pounds
- 14:25Speaker 3: seven ounces, She's smaller than a baby doll. And so
- 14:28Speaker 3: we're having to use the premi uh dipe's and all
- 14:31Speaker 3: this stuff. But we'll we'll do that another time, and
- 14:34Speaker 3: like that could even be a great like if Jill
- 14:36Speaker 3: wanted to do a call in or something.
- 14:40Speaker 1: We need to have the wives on. Yeah, it's gonna happen.
- 14:43Speaker 3: Yeah, Jill's survival kit was not so dude, and so
- 14:47Speaker 3: like we really were set up for the absolute worst that,
- 14:52Speaker 3: thank god, never happened. And so my favorite moment was
- 14:56Speaker 3: waking up at like six am, and it was truly
- 14:59Speaker 3: like the scene and Saving Private Ryan where he loses
- 15:03Speaker 3: his hearing on the beach and that guy's and says,
- 15:05Speaker 3: what do we do now? Sir? Jill's like over me.
- 15:10Speaker 3: Netflix says, are you still watching blah blah blah like
- 15:13Speaker 3: on the screen, and she's like, honey, I'm contracting, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 15:19Speaker 3: And I get out of the recliner. She's doing the
- 15:24Speaker 3: so what unbeknownst to me in the middle of the night,
- 15:26Speaker 3: that thing that they put in her mouth. They then
- 15:29Speaker 3: did it in the downstairs later that night to see
- 15:33Speaker 3: how that would go. Well, she went from two. She
- 15:37Speaker 3: showed up two centimeters dilated and for the dad's at home,
- 15:40Speaker 3: that's just the cervix, which is kind of the gate
- 15:44Speaker 3: that the baby has to go through to enter into
- 15:47Speaker 3: the opening where the baby's gonna come out. So she
- 15:50Speaker 3: shows up at a two. That little thing that they
- 15:53Speaker 3: inserted got her to a four. Nurse comes in checks her,
- 15:56Speaker 3: she's at four centimeters. In my head, I go, oh,
- 16:00Speaker 3: because we have a family friend that said at four
- 16:02Speaker 3: centimeters as well for a long time, not as long
- 16:04Speaker 3: as Charro, but a long time. So I hear four centimeters,
- 16:08Speaker 3: I think of you, and I think of our family friend.
- 16:10Speaker 3: I text you and I say, we're at four centimeters,
- 16:13Speaker 3: And in my head it's like, we're at four centimeters.
- 16:15Speaker 3: We're at four centimeters. I'm just like, oh no, that
- 16:18Speaker 3: likes old trigger number. Oh please, please please. So then
- 16:21Speaker 3: they hit her with the potosin. We go about three
- 16:25Speaker 3: or four hours. All of a sudden, Jill is like,
- 16:28Speaker 3: I really feel pressure, like Sherman, I feel pressure and
- 16:32Speaker 3: it feels like I need to poop. And they say
- 16:34Speaker 3: that if you feel like you need to poop, you're
- 16:36Speaker 3: gonna have your baby. And so she tells nurse it's
- 16:40Speaker 3: only been three hours since the potosin. So nurse is
- 16:42Speaker 3: kind of like, we'll get the midwives in here in
- 16:45Speaker 3: a little bit, we'll have them check you. And then
- 16:48Speaker 3: she kind of stopped and she looked at Jill and
- 16:49Speaker 3: she was like how much pressure? And Jill was like
- 16:52Speaker 3: a lot of pressure. Well, she gets her flashlight out,
- 16:54Speaker 3: goes underneath the hood, goes, we'll get the midwives. Midwives
- 16:59Speaker 3: come in, go fully dilated. She went from four to
- 17:02Speaker 3: ten in three hours. Oh my, four to ten centimeters
- 17:06Speaker 3: in three hours. The white walkers were at the wall
- 17:09Speaker 3: at the wall and this walcher on the wall was
- 17:14Speaker 3: having to get in the zone. In that moment, it
- 17:16Speaker 3: was like everything stops. And thankfully Jill had kind of
- 17:21Speaker 3: like trained me and put me through the ringer to
- 17:24Speaker 3: know what to expect.
- 17:26Speaker 1: So why you have your coffee?
- 17:29Speaker 3: No, didn't have coffee the entire time I was there.
- 17:32Speaker 3: But the one thing that I forgot to say, dude
- 17:34Speaker 3: is Jill was like, I want to feel some of
- 17:37Speaker 3: the contractions before I get the epidural. But sherman, it's
- 17:40Speaker 3: your job make sure that I get on that epidural.
- 17:44Speaker 3: I don't want to miss it. Blah blah blah. When
- 17:46Speaker 3: she was sitting at four and like contracting really hard,
- 17:50Speaker 3: like before they came in to say she was at ten,
- 17:53Speaker 3: She's like, I don't know sho I get on the epidural.
- 17:56Speaker 3: I'm like in my head like Rocky to or Hockey
- 18:00Speaker 3: for throwing the damn towel, Like, I'm sitting there going
- 18:03Speaker 3: take the epidural right now. Why are we waiting? She's like,
- 18:07Speaker 3: I want to finish my yogurt because I can't eat
- 18:09Speaker 3: after I have epid I got the yogurt. I'm forced
- 18:14Speaker 3: feeding your yogurt. I'm like, finish this freaking yogurt because
- 18:17Speaker 3: you like, girl, you gotta get the epidural. We get
- 18:19Speaker 3: the epidural. They come in, she's out of ten. We
- 18:23Speaker 3: gotta start pushing. Right before we're about to push, they're like, hey,
- 18:27Speaker 3: we don't have an or room open for Jill in
- 18:30Speaker 3: case things go south, So we have to suspend pushing
- 18:33Speaker 3: as long as we can Jill, until an our room,
- 18:37Speaker 3: an operating room opens up in case things go south.
- 18:41Speaker 3: In the meantime, would you want anesthesiologists to come in
- 18:45Speaker 3: and give you another hit because it seems like you
- 18:48Speaker 3: have a lot of discomfort. Jill is like, yes, that
- 18:51Speaker 3: was the biggest blessing in disguise. They came in, dude
- 18:53Speaker 3: and mainlined some stuff into Jill, and Jill gives me
- 18:57Speaker 3: that look. After fifteen minutes of getting mainlined with whatever
- 19:01Speaker 3: they put in that cocktail, she's like, I'm ready to push.
- 19:05Speaker 3: I feel good, like I'm ready to go. And they
- 19:09Speaker 3: came in. They tell her, hey, you're gonna do three
- 19:12Speaker 3: pushes per round. It looks like this, dad, you're gonna
- 19:14Speaker 3: hold feet. The other nurses gonna hold the other foot.
- 19:19Speaker 1: You're holding feet, so you're south of the wall.
- 19:22Speaker 3: I was a watcher on the wall I had. I
- 19:25Speaker 3: was able to see south of the wall where the
- 19:27Speaker 3: white walkers were coming, and I was or sorry, north
- 19:30Speaker 3: of the wall where the white walkers are coming and
- 19:33Speaker 3: south of the wall, so I was able to see
- 19:35Speaker 3: both concentrating on Jill but also like interested in seeing
- 19:39Speaker 3: what's going on down there, because midwife was like, Dad,
- 19:42Speaker 3: if you want to look, baby's head is literally right there.
- 19:44Speaker 3: That was before we even started pushing. It's because little
- 19:48Speaker 3: Scarlett is so small, dude.
- 19:50Speaker 1: She just positioned well, positioned well.
- 19:54Speaker 3: She knew her role. She was like, I'm ready, We're
- 19:57Speaker 3: doing this right now. I do. I've never been more
- 20:00Speaker 3: proud of Jill. Jill was such a gangster dude, like
- 20:04Speaker 3: such a stud. During the pushing, she did four rounds
- 20:08Speaker 3: of three pushes, and each time, like on the third push,
- 20:12Speaker 3: I'd be like, there's not a shot in hell. She's
- 20:14Speaker 3: gonna give it what she did the first two. The
- 20:16Speaker 3: third one would always be the strongest. Scarlet would move
- 20:19Speaker 3: the most. On the third one, you would hear the
- 20:21Speaker 3: midwives go, good, there it is, there it is. And
- 20:24Speaker 3: I'm sitting there and I'm like, Jill's a beast, dude.
- 20:27Speaker 3: She just covered in sweat and each time just taking
- 20:31Speaker 3: the biggest breast and just bearing down. I was like, God,
- 20:35Speaker 3: I'm so proud of her, Like she's freaking killing it,
- 20:38Speaker 3: and then on the fourth round of pushes, Scarlet came out.
- 20:41Speaker 3: On the third round, midwife looks at her right before
- 20:45Speaker 3: we start the fourth round of pushes and looks at
- 20:47Speaker 3: Jill and goes, hey, it's a really cool moment for
- 20:51Speaker 3: moms that I can get her out very easily. I'm
- 20:54Speaker 3: not worried. I'm gonna get her to her torso and
- 20:57Speaker 3: you can reach down and physically pull her up if
- 20:59Speaker 3: you want to do that. Are you interested in that? Jill?
- 21:02Speaker 3: And Jill was like, yeah, I want to do that.
- 21:04Speaker 3: She was like, okay, when I tell you you reach
- 21:06Speaker 3: it out, you'll grab her and you just bring her
- 21:08Speaker 3: to your chest. And on that third push they got
- 21:12Speaker 3: Scarlet out to her torso. She was holding her umbilical
- 21:15Speaker 3: cord like Batman doing his you know, little gun. She
- 21:19Speaker 3: comes out like this and Jill just reached down there
- 21:22Speaker 3: and grabs Scarlet and brought her to her chest.
- 21:24Speaker 1: It was unreal, dude, that is incredible.
- 21:27Speaker 3: I'm looking at my wife like, who are you? Like,
- 21:31Speaker 3: that's so sick?
- 21:32Speaker 1: Isn't it wild seeing your wife go through that?
- 21:35Speaker 3: Yes? And I told her, like beforehand, I don't know
- 21:39Speaker 3: because I don't know childbirth, but I'm like, if there's
- 21:42Speaker 3: anybody that can do it, it's you. Like, she's such
- 21:44Speaker 3: a pusher, she's such a grinder she like, Yeah, she
- 21:48Speaker 3: just has that mentality, but she also has a lot
- 21:50Speaker 3: of fearfulness and anxiety. Yeah, and beforehand, I was like,
- 21:54Speaker 3: if anybody's got it, it's you. You're going to destroy this.
- 21:57Speaker 3: And then to see her go out on the field
- 21:59Speaker 3: and perform like you think she's going to make a
- 22:03Speaker 3: coach proud, Make a coach proud, dude, and then that
- 22:06Speaker 3: moment with Scarlet. Man, I can send you some picture,
- 22:10Speaker 3: chef if you want to put it on the episode. Dude,
- 22:12Speaker 3: I'm water works obviously, y'all saw me last week. Dude.
- 22:16Speaker 3: It was amazing. Yeah.
- 22:19Speaker 2: Man, listen, you just gotta have Jocko Willink in the
- 22:22Speaker 2: back of your head when something's going wrong. Good, when
- 22:27Speaker 2: you're feeling sleepy you only got two hours of sleep, Good,
- 22:31Speaker 2: get my ass out of bed. When the baby's not
- 22:34Speaker 2: going down and you're on duty.
- 22:35Speaker 3: Good.
- 22:37Speaker 2: You might think, Jill, she she took a little walk.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Maybe she's going something to take care of herself, right, Yeah,
- 22:42Speaker 2: and you think the kid's gonna go down. Okay, here's
- 22:44Speaker 2: a three hour window that they get to sleep. Maybe
- 22:45Speaker 2: I can close my eyes. They don't go to sleep.
- 22:47Speaker 2: You don't get your nap.
- 22:48Speaker 1: You gotta think good.
- 22:51Speaker 3: I'm covered in shit.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Yes, good, shit on me? More good.
- 23:01Speaker 3: Bombing on me. I dare you?
- 23:02Speaker 1: Oh you danger diaper? Oh you shit again?
- 23:04Speaker 3: I fucking love your enthusiasm. Oh the good. I'll change
- 23:09Speaker 3: your dip. I'll change that shit again. Diaper dress. Kids overflowing.
- 23:13Speaker 2: Good wife's yelling at you because there's a rash now
- 23:16Speaker 2: in the baby's ass because you wiped it so hard
- 23:18Speaker 2: because you were pissed off.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Good be softer, put the cream on afterwards.
- 23:24Speaker 3: Dogs are pissed off because they're getting less attention, so
- 23:26Speaker 3: they're starting to pee on Steff. So you finally pay
- 23:28Speaker 3: attention to them.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Good kid finally goes down. Dog wakes up. They're making
- 23:34Speaker 2: a lot of loud noise. Wakes the baby up. You
- 23:36Speaker 2: go to chase the dog to give it a little
- 23:38Speaker 2: to give it a little discipline. Dog outruns you, runs outside,
- 23:41Speaker 2: out the front door. Can't get the dog. You gotta
- 23:43Speaker 2: go chase him on the road. You can't find him.
- 23:45Speaker 3: Good good, you gotta embrace the sum is gonna happen.
- 23:51Speaker 1: I know you got those dogs.
- 23:53Speaker 3: The term's always yelling at me at the front door.
- 23:55Speaker 3: Keep them in, keep them in.
- 23:59Speaker 2: I hope those dogs out run your ass too, and
- 24:02Speaker 2: your piss off. I just and think of me. I'm ready,
- 24:07Speaker 2: And don't you dare send the text in you can't
- 24:09Speaker 2: show up before the dads, because I'm just gonna say, hey,
- 24:11Speaker 2: oh is this what we prepared for?
- 24:12Speaker 4: No?
- 24:13Speaker 3: Good?
- 24:13Speaker 1: Good, get your punk ass in here.
- 24:15Speaker 3: I'm gonna be on that bus. Yeah every Monday. Yeah,
- 24:19Speaker 3: I gotta be here for for the dads. Good good.
- 24:25Speaker 2: By the way, I was thinking of, uh, I was
- 24:28Speaker 2: thinking of maybe a couple some squad names out there
- 24:32Speaker 2: of the listeners or the listeners and like all of us, Okay,
- 24:38Speaker 2: there's a couple that's kind of you know, you got
- 24:39Speaker 2: a pop a Team six. Hey, how about just going
- 24:48Speaker 2: off the brotherhood the fatherhood and you just get like
- 24:52Speaker 2: you know, you know the hats how it says the
- 24:54Speaker 2: lou and it's upside down. Yeah, we just get like
- 24:56Speaker 2: fatherhood and it's upside down. And that's how you know
- 24:59Speaker 2: you're like part of the fire.
- 25:01Speaker 3: Okay. I like that one a lot. Papa Team six
- 25:05Speaker 3: is strong.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Papa Team six to where you can just refer to
- 25:09Speaker 2: yourself like, oh, that's a Papa Seal. That's a Papa Seal.
- 25:13Speaker 2: That's somebody who sent Seman Team six down there and
- 25:16Speaker 2: got the job done. Now he's a Papa Seal and.
- 25:20Speaker 3: His heart's black as hell.
- 25:22Speaker 2: Yeah, you can tell he's been through some some military tours.
- 25:26Speaker 2: And what I mean by military tours is he's been
- 25:28Speaker 2: on some road trips. He's been on some vacations without
- 25:31Speaker 2: any childcare. You can see it in his eyes. So
- 25:34Speaker 2: just a couple of thoughts. Those are a couple thoughts.
- 25:37Speaker 3: I love both of those. I love the fatherhood hat
- 25:39Speaker 3: upside down. The Our merch team was on the phone
- 25:44Speaker 3: with me last week and they were pitching some upside
- 25:47Speaker 3: down stuff too, Like they're one to go heavy into it,
- 25:50Speaker 3: so I think it's badass.
- 25:51Speaker 2: Maybe we let the listeners aside, Maybe we let some
- 25:54Speaker 2: comments decide. Oh yeah, if you have an opinion on
- 25:56Speaker 2: whether we should call this this audience, this group of dads,
- 26:00Speaker 2: his community, the fatherhood, or Papa Team.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Six with it.
- 26:06Speaker 3: I kind of like by Papa Team before.
- 26:09Speaker 2: Coming into this. I loved I love the fatherhood. Hey,
- 26:12Speaker 2: he's part of the fatherhood. There's like a hierarchy.
- 26:15Speaker 3: We can you're you're a real sick. Yeah. Yeah, he's
- 26:21Speaker 3: part of the father, But I don't know if he's
- 26:23Speaker 3: Poppa Team six.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Papa Team six because there's some play on
- 26:27Speaker 2: stuff there with Papa Team six. Again, it's like, hey,
- 26:29Speaker 2: that's a Papa Seal. How do you know he's a
- 26:30Speaker 2: Papa Seal because he's sent in seeming Team six.
- 26:34Speaker 3: You gotta you gotta check his stats. He came out man, Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 26:37Speaker 3: If he's going around telling people he's Popping Team six,
- 26:39Speaker 3: he's probably not Poppa Team six. Yeah. Those are the
- 26:43Speaker 3: guys that stick out there at the bar. Let us
- 26:45Speaker 3: know in the comments. Sure, do you want to say
- 26:50Speaker 3: what happened? I would love to say what happened? I
- 26:53Speaker 3: owe an apology to Will Compton.
- 26:55Speaker 2: And for people listening and watching A big deal did
- 26:59Speaker 2: you go down? Like a huge deal, A deal where
- 27:03Speaker 2: it's like I don't know how to react right now
- 27:06Speaker 2: because we still have to record our show and we
- 27:09Speaker 2: have to bring the juice and I have to bring
- 27:11Speaker 2: the juice and we have to be optimistic. Yes, dude,
- 27:13Speaker 2: because you're you're my mate, dude, Yeah, you're my.
- 27:19Speaker 1: Teammate. In the squadron.
- 27:21Speaker 3: I'm in the foxhol with you. You're in the foxhole
- 27:23Speaker 3: with me, quite literally. And you said, and to.
- 27:26Speaker 2: Be in the foxhole with somebody, Yep, you got to
- 27:28Speaker 2: know that the guy you're in the foxhole with has
- 27:31Speaker 2: your back, has every angle covered, if that's their role.
- 27:39Speaker 2: And I I patch you on the back and you
- 27:43Speaker 2: shit in my hand.
- 27:45Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe you patted me on the back a little
- 27:47Speaker 3: too much, but I haven't.
- 27:49Speaker 1: We did the.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Performance reviews last week, I know, and that went well.
- 27:54Speaker 2: We talked about details, and we talked about structure.
- 27:57Speaker 3: And we talked about my weakest point, the fine details
- 28:02Speaker 3: and having it written down, having it written down. But
- 28:06Speaker 3: this was something that doesn't need to be written down.
- 28:09Speaker 3: This is something that does not need to be written down.
- 28:11Speaker 3: It's right up there with breathing in the production world,
- 28:14Speaker 3: I would say, or drinking enough water.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Papa Team six, Moms, Dads, Seeming Team six, Sea Team
- 28:21Speaker 2: six need to know as they're listening to this, I'm
- 28:26Speaker 2: very frustrated. Yeah, I need to talk about my feelings.
- 28:30Speaker 3: It makes me angry.
- 28:32Speaker 2: I think this is health fyel alone when you do
- 28:36Speaker 2: behaviors like that.
- 28:37Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, tell them well, first off. Would love
- 28:42Speaker 3: to create a safe space for Will to continue to
- 28:44Speaker 3: get this off his chest, because I feel like that's
- 28:46Speaker 3: the best way to deal with it, to dive right in.
- 28:50Speaker 3: I forgot to hit the record button on both audio
- 28:54Speaker 3: and video.
- 28:56Speaker 2: We were recording for how long Chef Chef has a
- 28:58Speaker 2: mic By the way, Chef who was the leader of
- 29:01Speaker 2: Semen Team six at the moment, he has a mic
- 29:05Speaker 2: now being able to chime in so you don't have
- 29:07Speaker 2: to hear him from far away.
- 29:08Speaker 1: We were going about forty five minutes, a great job
- 29:11Speaker 1: of keeping it under an hour.
- 29:13Speaker 3: We were just about to keep it under an hour.
- 29:16Speaker 3: It was potentially maybe the first time ever we were
- 29:19Speaker 3: on the lesson. The episode was almost done. Will was
- 29:24Speaker 3: getting into his lesson and I look over at the
- 29:26Speaker 3: audio and the video and I see no red light
- 29:30Speaker 3: like I do now to where it's rolling.
- 29:33Speaker 2: We recorded for forty five minutes, and it was so
- 29:38Speaker 2: much fun and it was going so well, and sure
- 29:44Speaker 2: him stands up and he's like grinning at Chef, like
- 29:47Speaker 2: pointing down at the little what's that called zoom recording?
- 29:50Speaker 2: Little zoom recorder. I look over a shoar, I'm like,
- 29:52Speaker 2: what's up? And He's like, I didn't hit record, So
- 29:56Speaker 2: I'm like, so we didn't get anything that we just
- 30:00Speaker 2: forty five minutes nothing.
- 30:01Speaker 3: Nothing chalked up to the wind. He's like, I'm so sorry.
- 30:07Speaker 1: Well, Dad, I just.
- 30:12Speaker 4: If I can add it was dead silent for maybe
- 30:15Speaker 4: five minutes.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Yeah, no one spoke.
- 30:17Speaker 3: That's a long time around here too, because we got
- 30:20Speaker 3: a lot of talkers, especially in this room because it's
- 30:23Speaker 3: Friday right now, it's feats a Friday. Addys are supposed
- 30:25Speaker 3: to be up watching all this ship that he's down
- 30:29Speaker 3: in the shop. This is the safe space.
- 30:33Speaker 2: This is this is the space that it's like, get
- 30:35Speaker 2: to go have some fun, get to go.
- 30:38Speaker 3: Have some fun with my boy, with your boy that
- 30:41Speaker 3: light you down. I'm the one that's I get.
- 30:44Speaker 2: We get, we play video games, but don't get to
- 30:46Speaker 2: see all week you're you're you're a.
- 30:47Speaker 1: Bright light in the shop.
- 30:50Speaker 3: Yeah. And I just came in. I ship in your
- 30:53Speaker 3: hand quite literally, and I'm stuck because I'm like, I
- 30:58Speaker 3: have to accept this and over it as fast as
- 31:01Speaker 3: possible because we still have to record for the dads.
- 31:03Speaker 2: Yeah, sh'll have that fun. Yes, we said. We still
- 31:06Speaker 2: have to tell people to subscribe. We still have to
- 31:08Speaker 2: read reread all the Greek comments we loved in the
- 31:11Speaker 2: comments section about Papa Team six because Papa Team six.
- 31:14Speaker 3: Is growing and we gotta tell the same story again.
- 31:19Speaker 3: But that's okay because they're they're really good stories and
- 31:22Speaker 3: I would love to hear it again and just say
- 31:24Speaker 3: shout out, this is not getting points from will you
- 31:29Speaker 3: have recovered very well? You ten minutes ago is a
- 31:32Speaker 3: different you right now? You were you've recovered? How hints?
- 31:38Speaker 3: How do you feel on a scale of one to ten?
- 31:40Speaker 2: I don't know, dude, you look like a feeling what
- 31:44Speaker 2: way like we're talking like good mood?
- 31:49Speaker 3: Well now just able to go because you look like
- 31:52Speaker 3: a seven, like a high seven right now? Good? I
- 31:55Speaker 3: believe it. Hey, he didn't hit record. Good the guy
- 32:01Speaker 3: that you put a ton of trust in to make
- 32:03Speaker 3: sure everything operates any family good? Good? Oh Hey, Papa
- 32:07Speaker 3: Sherman who said he was gonna show up at eight
- 32:09Speaker 3: thirty and get with Chef to go over details and
- 32:11Speaker 3: structure and line out a process of the show so
- 32:14Speaker 3: there's no mishaps. Shirm didn't show up at eight thirty.
- 32:17Speaker 3: What's under the show up?
- 32:19Speaker 1: I don't know what time he showed up.
- 32:20Speaker 3: It was like nine to ten.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Guess what, Your boy doesn't show up good.
- 32:25Speaker 3: Instead, he sends you a picture of a raccoon in
- 32:27Speaker 3: a cage on his.
- 32:29Speaker 2: Roof, saying victory, good good. He's trying his weasel way
- 32:38Speaker 2: out of why he wasn't. I texted Shurm back when
- 32:41Speaker 2: he sent me that. I was like, great creative way
- 32:43Speaker 2: of letting me know that you're not here at the
- 32:44Speaker 2: shop by the time you said you'd be at the shop.
- 32:48Speaker 3: True worst part of that is I didn't even know
- 32:50Speaker 3: what time it was, to which I replied to your text. Fuck, yeah,
- 32:57Speaker 3: vibes are up, man, Vibes are still up.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Vibes are still up.
- 33:06Speaker 3: God. Do you want to get into comments?
- 33:09Speaker 1: Yeah, let's read some comments. There's a lot of dads.
- 33:12Speaker 2: A lot of dads are out there wondering how to navigate.
- 33:14Speaker 2: It's a slippery slope, especially when you get mid season.
- 33:17Speaker 2: Your team starts catching some momentum, or they're bad, or
- 33:19Speaker 2: you're in a bad mood because your team lost, yes,
- 33:21Speaker 2: and they feel like the wife. He should be empathizing
- 33:24Speaker 2: with where you're at mentally. You can't watch the kids.
- 33:26Speaker 2: My boys just lost right now. How can you not
- 33:28Speaker 2: see how much how serious I take this fantasy football drafts.
- 33:32Speaker 2: That's one that sneaks up on me that I need
- 33:36Speaker 2: to have to do a better job of.
- 33:37Speaker 3: That's coming up, dude, Yeah, that's coming up. I think
- 33:41Speaker 3: the number one, the god tier tip or dad hack,
- 33:46Speaker 3: whatever you want to call it. Yeah, it's just the communication,
- 33:50Speaker 3: pre communication communication, dude, sweetheart, we know you hate football season,
- 34:00Speaker 3: and maybe she's like this is if your girl doesn't
- 34:03Speaker 3: like football season. That's what I was gonna say, even.
- 34:05Speaker 2: If they kind of like it, Like my wife's bought
- 34:08Speaker 2: into football, but I always jabb her like she's not
- 34:10Speaker 2: a real football fan, Like she went to Maryland, Like
- 34:12Speaker 2: Maryland's not that good at football.
- 34:14Speaker 3: I can see why she's to his little brother.
- 34:16Speaker 1: She cheered at Washington.
- 34:17Speaker 3: But I'm always like, hey, Washington on, why aren't we
- 34:19Speaker 3: me and you just watching this game every snap, every player?
- 34:22Speaker 3: You're not a real fan. And then you're like, brow,
- 34:24Speaker 3: she knows it, you know, she always first, she knows
- 34:26Speaker 3: the rules, she knows some.
- 34:27Speaker 1: Players, blah blah blah. But I'm always jabbing her about it.
- 34:29Speaker 3: So even if your wife is kind of on board
- 34:31Speaker 3: with football, you know the difference between a die hard
- 34:35Speaker 3: and then just a casual or they're not a fan
- 34:37Speaker 3: at all.
- 34:37Speaker 1: But even the casuals is for casuals.
- 34:39Speaker 2: And even not a fan that get annoyed about football,
- 34:42Speaker 2: you still want to anchor the emotion with sweetheart. We
- 34:46Speaker 2: both know you hate football season. Then they no, No,
- 34:49Speaker 2: I don't hate football season. Just please please let me finish.
- 34:57Speaker 3: I want to talk with you now.
- 35:00Speaker 2: Because we both know how much I love the Nebraska
- 35:04Speaker 2: Cornhuskers and they are going to be some every Saturday.
- 35:09Speaker 2: They're going to play at a slot of time. I
- 35:11Speaker 2: don't know everyone, but each week when I figure out
- 35:14Speaker 2: when they're playing, I would love to have my undivided
- 35:17Speaker 2: attention beyond that game. Maybe you're a sicko and you
- 35:21Speaker 2: want to watch a lot of the games. You have
- 35:23Speaker 2: to do a good job of being like, here's what
- 35:26Speaker 2: I would love my season to look like. Yep, I
- 35:30Speaker 2: know that's not going to happen, and I would love
- 35:32Speaker 2: your input on how we can execute to balance football season.
- 35:39Speaker 3: With life. With what we're doing.
- 35:43Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, with what we're doing. Because I enjoy what
- 35:46Speaker 2: I enjoy watching the game. I could watch them all day,
- 35:49Speaker 2: all day if I had the opportunity to. But I
- 35:51Speaker 2: know that I need to carry the load I need.
- 35:54Speaker 2: I know that I need to be present, and I
- 35:57Speaker 2: just want to figure out a great middle ground that
- 36:00Speaker 2: we can align on as we go into the season.
- 36:03Speaker 2: Because I got a draft coming up next week. I
- 36:05Speaker 2: want to be there. I kind of want to tell
- 36:07Speaker 2: them the time. I'm kind of scared to commit to
- 36:09Speaker 2: a time with them because part of me scared to
- 36:13Speaker 2: allow this draft to sneak up on us. And then
- 36:15Speaker 2: I'm throwing the draft that you hey, the boys were
- 36:17Speaker 2: drafted in an hour, and then we're both in a
- 36:20Speaker 2: little bit of a tiff and I'm thinking, I can't
- 36:22Speaker 2: I'm drafting right now. I want to knock it out
- 36:24Speaker 2: of the way now. I want to knock it out
- 36:25Speaker 2: of the way early.
- 36:26Speaker 3: How can we align on a structure throughout the year,
- 36:30Speaker 3: a structure that doesn't have to be so you know,
- 36:33Speaker 3: dialed into the t I know there's going to be
- 36:35Speaker 3: moving obstacles, yes, and moving targets throughout the year. We'll
- 36:39Speaker 3: handle those.
- 36:39Speaker 2: But as long as we're lying, as long as you
- 36:41Speaker 2: know where my love in my heart is with you
- 36:44Speaker 2: with the games, I think we can figure something out.
- 36:49Speaker 3: Well then you just sold me. Yeah, Well, said, I
- 36:52Speaker 3: think that's your baseline again. Yeah, you got to have
- 36:55Speaker 3: a starting baseline, dude, because you can't commit to what
- 36:59Speaker 3: you want your scheduled to be. Out of the gate,
- 37:02Speaker 3: you're getting in some hot water. You're already waking, You're
- 37:05Speaker 3: already awakening the defense inside of your wife.
- 37:09Speaker 2: You want to set up your success by first anchoring
- 37:14Speaker 2: the emotion of we both know you hate football, or
- 37:18Speaker 2: we both know that you hate how much I love football.
- 37:22Speaker 2: Give them a chance to step in and say that's
- 37:24Speaker 2: not true, because it's a balance, right.
- 37:27Speaker 3: It probably has a lot to do with your just
- 37:29Speaker 3: trying to watch.
- 37:29Speaker 2: All these games and you're not there's zero intention going
- 37:32Speaker 2: on around the house, and you're waiting until the day
- 37:34Speaker 2: of and then you guys are in a reactive state
- 37:36Speaker 2: of emotion. No, you're handling it by having a little
- 37:39Speaker 2: fun anchoring the top we both know you hate that
- 37:42Speaker 2: I love football, and then you lay out how can
- 37:44Speaker 2: we align on what this year can look like? Because
- 37:46Speaker 2: here's what's important to me outside of you guys being
- 37:49Speaker 2: priorready number one, my draft coming up with the boys,
- 37:54Speaker 2: watching my favorite college football team on Saturdays, ye watching
- 37:58Speaker 2: my favorite NFL team on Sunday Prime time, Prime Time.
- 38:02Speaker 2: We got Thursday night football, we got Sunday night football,
- 38:04Speaker 2: we got Monday night football. I know that sounds like
- 38:07Speaker 2: a lot right now, sweetheart, But I know that if
- 38:10Speaker 2: we just take it, if we just go one by
- 38:13Speaker 2: one here and figure out what a solution can be,
- 38:15Speaker 2: I know we can knock this out.
- 38:17Speaker 3: Of the park and pick pick your golden game, pick
- 38:21Speaker 3: that one game that you really want to see, whatever
- 38:24Speaker 3: you want to watch. And for your example of like
- 38:27Speaker 3: the Nebraska Cornhuskers are playing around the same time as
- 38:31Speaker 3: Christie's gender reveal party, that you'll have to go to.
- 38:34Speaker 3: You and Christy is Charles's best friend in the world,
- 38:38Speaker 3: So set that expectation of I'm not gonna make that
- 38:47Speaker 3: you think I'm joking. No, no, I don't think you're joking.
- 38:52Speaker 1: Chow out through a birthday party for me.
- 38:53Speaker 2: Last year was it was Illinois at Nebraska, but we
- 38:56Speaker 2: lost in overtime. But chow out through a birthday party
- 38:58Speaker 2: for me all my birthday to where we had a dinner.
- 39:01Speaker 3: We had about eight people come to this dinner please,
- 39:04Speaker 3: And I needed tooto.
- 39:06Speaker 1: I'll send them the photo.
- 39:07Speaker 2: And I needed the restaurant that you're going to that
- 39:11Speaker 2: you're wanting to. I don't think it was a surprise,
- 39:12Speaker 2: but the whatever restaurant it is, they better have a TV.
- 39:16Speaker 2: And if we're going to do a private room, they
- 39:18Speaker 2: better have a TV that can be in that room.
- 39:20Speaker 2: Because I am watching the Nebraska Cornhuskers play on Friday
- 39:24Speaker 2: night and the entire dinner party, everybody's having a great time,
- 39:29Speaker 2: and I'm just glued to the TV, and I set
- 39:31Speaker 2: the expectation with everybody, the guys, I'm not going to
- 39:34Speaker 2: be mingling at dinner because I have to watch Nebraska play.
- 39:40Speaker 3: They wield it up like on one of those like, uh,
- 39:43Speaker 3: their teacher, No, I saw the picture.
- 39:47Speaker 1: It was diicy for a minute.
- 39:48Speaker 3: They wielded some TV and I'm likee, we're gonna be
- 39:50Speaker 3: able to get the game on it. It looked like
- 39:53Speaker 3: the ones back in school. Yeah, there's sub rolls in
- 39:58Speaker 3: movie day. Yes, Fortunately we got it, but if not,
- 40:01Speaker 3: I would have been just on my on my phone,
- 40:03Speaker 3: just on YouTube TV.
- 40:05Speaker 1: Dude. I brought up the tailgate and the tick thing.
- 40:08Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. There was an older boy who
- 40:12Speaker 3: bullied hold On and I saw hold On.
- 40:20Speaker 2: Yeah, Rue was part of the crew that he bullied,
- 40:27Speaker 2: and I'll you know, the boy's lucky that I didn't
- 40:32Speaker 2: see the part on Rue. I saw the part where
- 40:34Speaker 2: he took the glasses off of like Rue's best friend.
- 40:39Speaker 2: He was like going around and kind of like grabbing
- 40:41Speaker 2: and shaking. There's like three of them shakes each one
- 40:44Speaker 2: of them runs around.
- 40:45Speaker 1: I just hear, hey.
- 40:45Speaker 2: Stop, and I kind of like, I kind of like
- 40:47Speaker 2: look down the hill. He runs over.
- 40:51Speaker 3: Did I say the girl's name?
- 40:53Speaker 2: No, you did not, Okay, If I did, make sure
- 40:56Speaker 2: to bleep that out, yeah, and then goes back to
- 40:59Speaker 2: the girl Rue's friend and I once I hear hey stop,
- 41:02Speaker 2: and I kind of look back, and the boy runs
- 41:04Speaker 2: by again and like grabs her glasses and she's like stop,
- 41:09Speaker 2: and Ru's just kind of like standing there all shy.
- 41:15Speaker 2: Kid ends up say stop, and I was like hey,
- 41:19Speaker 2: And the kid ends up like running up the hill.
- 41:21Speaker 3: I think he sells a glass. I'm like, hey, buddy,
- 41:24Speaker 3: he didn't have the glass.
- 41:24Speaker 2: He keeps running. The kids start crying a little bit,
- 41:29Speaker 2: so I go over to them. You know, the parents
- 41:30Speaker 2: were all over. We're like calming him down and everything else.
- 41:34Speaker 2: What happened blah blah blah and dude, I'm just boiling
- 41:40Speaker 2: as like, did that shit just happen? I'm thinking, this
- 41:43Speaker 2: is why we're going to do Brazilian jiu jitsu. There's
- 41:48Speaker 2: nothing that breaks your heart more than seeing bullying happen
- 41:53Speaker 2: with the little kids, because you know, they're just kids.
- 41:57Speaker 2: And this kid was old enough to know what he
- 41:59Speaker 2: was doing. And at the kid, the boy at his
- 42:02Speaker 2: age was old enough to know.
- 42:03Speaker 1: What he was doing.
- 42:03Speaker 3: We were talking like seven or eighth Yeah, oh.
- 42:06Speaker 1: Wow, I think so.
- 42:07Speaker 2: Yeah, he was old, he was taller, Yeah, he was older.
- 42:11Speaker 2: And Ruth started like the other two kids they're crying.
- 42:17Speaker 2: Rue's not crying yet, and I'm walking over and I
- 42:19Speaker 2: look at Rue and I'm just like I just kind
- 42:20Speaker 2: of like shake my head no, like don't you know, hey,
- 42:23Speaker 2: it's okay. You don't need to start crying because the
- 42:25Speaker 2: others are crying. I kind of like shake my head no, and.
- 42:30Speaker 3: You okay.
- 42:32Speaker 2: And as I do that, and she starts like, you know,
- 42:34Speaker 2: winsing up, and she starts crying, and so I pick
- 42:36Speaker 2: her up and everything. I didn't at that moment, I
- 42:39Speaker 2: didn't know that he had shaken or bullied Roue. So
- 42:42Speaker 2: I was kind of pissed for the other kid, the
- 42:44Speaker 2: one that I saw the glasses come off of, and
- 42:49Speaker 2: I'm quiet, I'm low key trying to figure out who
- 42:51Speaker 2: the kid, Like, where the kid is he like runs up,
- 42:55Speaker 2: he's like playing somewhere else, or like see who the
- 42:57Speaker 2: parents might be. Not to go say nothing. There's just
- 43:00Speaker 2: a there's a multitude of conversations going on in my head. Yeah,
- 43:04Speaker 2: like what would I have done had that been rude?
- 43:06Speaker 2: That I saw him do that too? Because you know,
- 43:12Speaker 2: not that I would have done anything, but you're also thinking,
- 43:14Speaker 2: like I don't know what I would do. Yeah, because
- 43:17Speaker 2: I started to like go towards the kid as he's
- 43:19Speaker 2: running away, when I was like, hey buddy, because I
- 43:21Speaker 2: thought he still had the glasses, why don't you give
- 43:23Speaker 2: her glasses back to her?
- 43:25Speaker 3: Or like I again, I don't know. There's too many
- 43:28Speaker 3: things that go on my head.
- 43:29Speaker 2: Yeah, that fires you up as a parent in the moment,
- 43:34Speaker 2: we end up believing because there's like a melt down
- 43:36Speaker 2: and everything else. We've been here a while, Like let's
- 43:38Speaker 2: get the kids home, Scottie, she's she's in her Uh,
- 43:41Speaker 2: we can't like let her out because she's in like
- 43:43Speaker 2: her she's in.
- 43:44Speaker 3: Her shroller and there's a gravel and everything else that
- 43:46Speaker 3: we're kind of on.
- 43:48Speaker 2: We go home and we get a text that it
- 43:49Speaker 2: happened again with the kid, and then something kind of
- 43:54Speaker 2: goes down with the kid and the parent got awkward
- 43:56Speaker 2: and weird and they kind of leave.
- 43:57Speaker 1: But maybe the kid's going, maybe.
- 43:59Speaker 2: The it's projecting, who knows, who knows, But anyway, a
- 44:04Speaker 2: bully I got. I witnessed a bully moment that it
- 44:07Speaker 2: was kind of part of and I did not know.
- 44:09Speaker 2: It kind of had me not worked up, but it
- 44:12Speaker 2: had me thinking about it like the rest of the evening.
- 44:15Speaker 3: Those are truly like the two things that I think
- 44:18Speaker 3: like guys almost fantasize about is either like a home
- 44:22Speaker 3: intruder and what they would do, or if somebody was
- 44:25Speaker 3: bullying their kid. Yeah, I'd love to see somebody come
- 44:30Speaker 3: into my house.
- 44:30Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I love Sure, if the kids mean to you,
- 44:34Speaker 2: that doesn't give you permission to be mean back to
- 44:37Speaker 2: him and to where my line of thinking is like
- 44:40Speaker 2: I'll go with that for now, but everything's a little circumstantial.
- 44:45Speaker 3: I'm like, once Brazilian jiu jitsu and once we're in
- 44:48Speaker 3: the a guy, Yeah, we don't know what's gonna happen, right, Like, yeah,
- 44:53Speaker 3: if the.
- 44:53Speaker 2: Kids mean to you, doesn't give you the right to
- 44:55Speaker 2: be mean back. But we got to figure out a
- 44:58Speaker 2: way to where you're not going to allow somebody to
- 45:00Speaker 2: be mean to you. Yeah, And I don't know what
- 45:02Speaker 2: that is. Again, I'm very new. I'm learning at this stuff.
- 45:05Speaker 2: It's like it's one of those things where I'm very
- 45:07Speaker 2: slow to speak because I don't have my thoughts in
- 45:11Speaker 2: order and how I feel about it, or what should
- 45:13Speaker 2: actually be done or how I should be teaching through
- 45:16Speaker 2: those things, because I didn't really tell Rue a whole lot,
- 45:19Speaker 2: just making sure she's like okay and everything else. But
- 45:21Speaker 2: I'm sitting there like trying to figure out, yeah, like
- 45:23Speaker 2: what if this does happen?
- 45:24Speaker 3: What if I'm not there? What if this? What if that?
- 45:27Speaker 2: How do I need to be coaching or teaching this
- 45:31Speaker 2: or give her confidence to you know, be a certain way.
- 45:35Speaker 2: But yeah, witnessed the first bully that.
- 45:39Speaker 3: Gets me rawed up, that gets me rawed up.
- 45:43Speaker 2: And fantasies of just sideline tackle drill on this kid,
- 45:47Speaker 2: oh oh, just a great angle gronks running across the
- 45:51Speaker 2: border of the woods that they were playing in just Boa.
- 45:57Speaker 3: It truly envisioned you chasing down gronk to the sideline,
- 46:00Speaker 3: beating them to the sideline.
- 46:03Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, I'm like not even going to say I'm
- 46:06Speaker 2: over here like pinching my my fingers and stuff and
- 46:09Speaker 2: moving my hands around because I'm like, I know this
- 46:11Speaker 2: is a murky waters to be to be speaking on.
- 46:14Speaker 3: But who is the father? Hey, listen to my podcast.
- 46:21Speaker 3: I can promise you that, oh this your boy.
- 46:25Speaker 1: I just mocked on the sideline.
- 46:29Speaker 3: Wait did say something?
- 46:32Speaker 1: I become the bully?
- 46:34Speaker 3: Just an awful example for the kids. I'm gonna have
- 46:38Speaker 3: a little dude e through it too. Oh good deal.
- 46:42Speaker 3: Daddy wants to come say something. Meet me in the ring,
- 46:46Speaker 3: circle around children, turn on the headlights, pull the cars up.
- 46:54Speaker 3: This is how you want to dial man.
- 47:01Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 47:02Speaker 3: The dad just has no idea like what had happened.
- 47:06Speaker 3: He's just one of those like Patagonia bests with like
- 47:08Speaker 3: a coffee. Just chill, dude, Yeah.
- 47:11Speaker 4: Yes, what's going on? Well, Susie finds out his son
- 47:13Speaker 4: as being a little ship. Heead He's like the poor kid.
- 47:15Speaker 4: You almost you're almost like, hey, you know, praying to God.
- 47:18Speaker 4: The kid's gonna be alive. I don't know if you
- 47:20Speaker 4: guys ever seen that, Like you had a buddy who
- 47:24Speaker 4: rightfully so the parent's mad and they're going home and
- 47:27Speaker 4: you're like shit.
- 47:28Speaker 2: Like a lot of times too, it's like again with
- 47:30Speaker 2: being a young boy, like with the kid. They're kids,
- 47:34Speaker 2: and if I'm the parent were roused to bully, I
- 47:37Speaker 2: would want to be told because I would be pissed
- 47:40Speaker 2: at Rue.
- 47:41Speaker 3: Will is definitely one of the dads that like if
- 47:43Speaker 3: I was, you know, like a friend of Ru's and
- 47:46Speaker 3: I'm like hanging out with them and stuff, like, I
- 47:48Speaker 3: would be on extra good behavior because Will is the
- 47:52Speaker 3: dad that's there, like I playing Little League or like
- 47:56Speaker 3: being around other dads at that age, there were certain
- 47:58Speaker 3: dads that you're like, oh, just scared of that just
- 48:03Speaker 3: give off that vibe of like do not set off
- 48:06Speaker 3: mister blah blah blah. Not because they were a psychlist
- 48:08Speaker 3: said I'm gonna be a fun you are, but there
- 48:11Speaker 3: will be respect. There will be dude. I'm just telling you, like,
- 48:14Speaker 3: guys are gonna when they start coming to the age
- 48:16Speaker 3: and like just knowing you and knowing your personality type,
- 48:20Speaker 3: knowing maybe you played in the NFL for a little bit.
- 48:22Speaker 3: They're gonna be like, don't don't mess around with willye
- 48:26Speaker 3: c Yeah, that's a good thing.
- 48:28Speaker 2: I feel like that's the that's my mom and me too.
- 48:30Speaker 2: My mom she didn't play no ship, dude, she didn't
- 48:34Speaker 2: play no ship. If we were acting up in school,
- 48:37Speaker 2: we were known as like hyper kids. Uh, Cannon will
- 48:40Speaker 2: Over is a little too hyper, but uh, my mom
- 48:44Speaker 2: did not mess around. She wanted she wanted a real
- 48:47Speaker 2: feedback for how her boys are being because if we
- 48:51Speaker 2: were messing around in class, if we weren't, you know,
- 48:54Speaker 2: progress reports, if we weren't dialed in like she wanted
- 48:57Speaker 2: to know, not to blame it on anybody else other
- 49:00Speaker 2: than that than the tanner ass at home and not
- 49:02Speaker 2: necessarily come from my mom. That'd be the old man,
- 49:04Speaker 2: but it'd be a verbal lash. Ye know.
- 49:06Speaker 3: Yeah, because she didn't mess around, that's good. That's a
- 49:09Speaker 3: good thing. Yeah, that's a good thing.
- 49:11Speaker 2: Because part of me sitting there and I'm like, stuff,
- 49:14Speaker 2: kid's fault's not the parent's fault. Maybe it could be
- 49:17Speaker 2: the parent's fault because the kids like whatever he's doing.
- 49:20Speaker 2: But I'm sure the parents would be upset their kid.
- 49:24Speaker 2: Is it was doing X, Y and Z, so don't
- 49:26Speaker 2: get mad at the parents. Like again, there's so many
- 49:28Speaker 2: things going on in your head. That was going on
- 49:30Speaker 2: in my head.
- 49:31Speaker 3: So I had a I had a crazy packed weekend.
- 49:35Speaker 3: It was really really good. Yeah you had you had
- 49:39Speaker 3: Scarlet on by yourself on Saturday. Yeah, on Saturday, which
- 49:43Speaker 3: is gonna be That's gonna be the new norm with
- 49:46Speaker 3: Jill's work schedule. I'm gonna have solo Scarlet Saturdays. So
- 49:50Speaker 3: it could just be a new thing on the show,
- 49:53Speaker 3: which is nice. I'm loving it. I wanted to mix
- 49:56Speaker 3: it up. Uh. I got an invite to these stars
- 50:00Speaker 3: Predators to Game Go Stars. Uh, they caught the dub.
- 50:06Speaker 3: I went with Cooper Comstock that's here in the shop
- 50:09Speaker 3: v A plus.
- 50:12Speaker 1: I saw that too.
- 50:12Speaker 3: You gotta you know, you know, you guys can always
- 50:16Speaker 3: hit us up if you need some help getting tickets,
- 50:19Speaker 3: because I saw you like in the notes, Oh if
- 50:21Speaker 3: we need help getting tickets. No, No, You're saying like, hey.
- 50:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I saw the video.
- 50:28Speaker 3: You know.
- 50:29Speaker 1: I had a smile on my face. Here you do
- 50:31Speaker 1: this and then you.
- 50:31Speaker 2: Whip it around and I'm like, oh shit, we're in
- 50:34Speaker 2: the bleeds.
- 50:36Speaker 1: The high up operate this way.
- 50:39Speaker 3: I do. Like, I'm not trying to defend those seats
- 50:43Speaker 3: like we bought them because they're cheap. But I love
- 50:46Speaker 3: in hockey the Bleeds that are on the like you're
- 50:50Speaker 3: behind the goal, you're behind the net. I love those
- 50:53Speaker 3: seats because you can truly see the offense develop.
- 50:56Speaker 1: So look, if you don't want to bang on the
- 50:58Speaker 1: glass and be in the I.
- 51:00Speaker 3: Mean, hey, you don't like those seats some glass, Yeah,
- 51:07Speaker 3: I'll fully take you up on that.
- 51:09Speaker 2: I'm just let just letting you know, just for future sake,
- 51:12Speaker 2: what if you go to a ball game, Just think
- 51:14Speaker 2: I wonder if the boys have any type of connection
- 51:16Speaker 2: where we could get some seats.
- 51:17Speaker 3: Hey, that's a that's the type of ticket that's going
- 51:20Speaker 3: to keep you in somebody's pocket. Keep you in somebody's pocket. Uh,
- 51:27Speaker 3: that's a that's Pete six fraternity right there. That is
- 51:31Speaker 3: that is Yeah, I know that you would you know
- 51:35Speaker 3: that was a joke to keep you in somebody's pocket. Yeah,
- 51:38Speaker 3: I would not think that Will would do Yeah I know, okay, okay,
- 51:42Speaker 3: but we were in the Bleeds. Dude, Scarlett just absolutely
- 51:48Speaker 3: enjoyed the hockey game. We could pull up that video Will.
- 51:51Speaker 3: I'm telling you the entire time, she's literally like this
- 51:54Speaker 3: fired out, oh fully glued to the ice where I
- 51:59Speaker 3: just had her in my lap like watching the game
- 52:01Speaker 3: and I'm holding her arms and she did not cry once.
- 52:06Speaker 3: It was impeccable. So I'm sure that you're sitting there
- 52:09Speaker 3: wondering why does Sherman have this under his dad losses
- 52:14Speaker 3: this whole.
- 52:14Speaker 2: I didn't know we were all in the category of well,
- 52:17Speaker 2: I'm just we you're wondering why I failed?
- 52:23Speaker 3: How did Sherman screw this one up? Cooper Comstock and
- 52:28Speaker 3: I want to get his thoughts on this for a
- 52:30Speaker 3: social clip because I would love to hear him candidly
- 52:34Speaker 3: when I'm not around, his thoughts on what happened. But
- 52:37Speaker 3: he is a diehard Stars fan, like a true sicko.
- 52:40Speaker 3: This whole thing was his idea. I was with him
- 52:43Speaker 3: and his girlfriend shout out his girlfriend, Addie, She's incredible,
- 52:48Speaker 3: was helping watch Scarlet. They came to the house early
- 52:52Speaker 3: because they knew I had to feed Scarlett at one
- 52:54Speaker 3: in the games. At two thirty, I pretty much had
- 52:57Speaker 3: everything together, but I couldn't find her headphones. So then
- 53:01Speaker 3: Coop's helping me on the changing table watching Scarlet. I'm
- 53:05Speaker 3: digging through the headphones, like looking for him Jills at work.
- 53:08Speaker 3: She finally tells me where they are, because she knows
- 53:10Speaker 3: where they are. I didn't amy at the texter. Yeah,
- 53:13Speaker 3: I texted me shy little te I hated that that right,
- 53:16Speaker 3: there's a quick go. Yeah, that's a quick al get that.
- 53:20Speaker 3: You never want to be the dad that's like, hey,
- 53:22Speaker 3: where's this at? I do it all lie, but anytime
- 53:25Speaker 3: I do it, it like pains me.
- 53:26Speaker 1: I'm like fuck.
- 53:27Speaker 3: And Coop's like, hey, you we don't need to rush.
- 53:29Speaker 3: It's all good games at two thirty, it's all good.
- 53:32Speaker 3: It's one fifteen. Like where you say, I know Cooper?
- 53:35Speaker 3: I like, I don't want to miss discuss. That's a
- 53:37Speaker 3: good teammate right there. That's a good teammate staying poised
- 53:40Speaker 3: in the pocket. Great teammate. Tell me not to stress.
- 53:43Speaker 3: ADDIE's like playing with the dogs. She's being so sweet
- 53:46Speaker 3: with Scarlet. They both were really good with Scarlet being
- 53:49Speaker 3: so sweet. We get out the door. We're driving. We
- 53:53Speaker 3: got the Lullaby remakes playlists. I have to put you on.
- 53:58Speaker 3: It's called Rockabye baby, have you heard it? It's just
- 54:03Speaker 3: it's all stay on course. It's stay on course, down course,
- 54:06Speaker 3: Rock a Bye Baby playlist is bumping. We're in the car,
- 54:10Speaker 3: vibes are so high. We get to the parking garage.
- 54:13Speaker 3: We're about to be ten minutes early for this game.
- 54:17Speaker 3: I forgot the diaper bag. I forgot the diaper bag
- 54:24Speaker 3: with the headphones, the blanket, the diapers, the bottle, the formula,
- 54:31Speaker 3: the extra the extra change of clothes in case she
- 54:34Speaker 3: shits herself. Everything that is vital to this day being successful,
- 54:41Speaker 3: left it at the house. Get on stuff hub to
- 54:45Speaker 3: then transfer the tickets to Kupinati so they don't have
- 54:48Speaker 3: to live in my shame, in my own personal health
- 54:52Speaker 3: that I've created for myself. Can't transfer the tickets. We
- 54:56Speaker 3: gotta all walk in together and the you're a real
- 55:03Speaker 3: piece of shit. Can I tell you the look of
- 55:08Speaker 3: forgiveness on Coop's face. That's when I knew, like you
- 55:13Speaker 3: really are a good friend.
- 55:15Speaker 1: He was the entire time.
- 55:17Speaker 3: You don't you don't even worry about it. It's all good.
- 55:20Speaker 3: What the game goes into extra periods, Hey, free hockey.
- 55:23Speaker 3: We'll get to watch three periods if it goes into
- 55:25Speaker 3: ot This is this game could go into ot both
- 55:28Speaker 3: these teams are good. Just sitting there trying to make
- 55:31Speaker 3: me feel so good, I'm literally death gripping the steering
- 55:34Speaker 3: wheel out of embarrassment. And then, of course, because we're
- 55:40Speaker 3: in the car going there, back there, Now, Scarlet's getting fussy,
- 55:44Speaker 3: so now you know the cries are starting to happen.
- 55:46Speaker 3: I'm just like, now the cries are really they're touching you,
- 55:50Speaker 3: ad I'm just spiraling in the driver's seat.
- 55:54Speaker 2: This is where you just staring at the road and
- 55:56Speaker 2: you hear nothing. The crying's happening, but the cry starts
- 55:59Speaker 2: fading because like a dog whistle noise coming in your
- 56:02Speaker 2: ear as you watch as you're looking.
- 56:04Speaker 3: At the room. Truly, bro the amount of forgiveness that
- 56:11Speaker 3: Coop showed me in that moment, how chilly was about everything.
- 56:15Speaker 3: We still ended up we did make great time and
- 56:18Speaker 3: we got there right at the end of the first period.
- 56:21Speaker 3: So did we miss a period of hockey, yes, but
- 56:23Speaker 3: we got to watch two more periods of hockey. The
- 56:26Speaker 3: Stars ended up coming back with four minutes left in
- 56:29Speaker 3: the third and one. It was a great time. Uh,
- 56:34Speaker 3: but godly, dude, I have never felt like such a bum.
- 56:38Speaker 3: I guess who's always gonna double check for the bag?
- 56:41Speaker 3: Now always you I say that? Do you say good?
- 56:48Speaker 3: So many times? And there there's some more on here.
- 56:52Speaker 3: Dog ran away in the front yard. Good went to
- 56:55Speaker 3: go get him. As I'm coming back carrying him, hold
- 56:57Speaker 3: him going what are you doing? What are you doing?
- 56:58Speaker 3: Stepped in his poop? Good?
- 57:00Speaker 1: Good?
- 57:01Speaker 3: Good threw those shoes away. Good because I was so pissed.
- 57:04Speaker 3: I just threw him. Do you want to clean him?
- 57:07Speaker 3: And porch Pirates stole my dinner on Uh what was
- 57:10Speaker 3: that Sunday? When I text you? Good? Yeah, you did
- 57:12Speaker 3: text me. You're like, hey, what was that number? Yeah,
- 57:14Speaker 3: we've yeah, we'll keep it tight. Yeah, we'll keep it tight.
- 57:17Speaker 2: But we'll keep it tight. We don't know the enemy,
- 57:19Speaker 2: which enemies are out there listening?
- 57:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, but uh, and I know this is
- 57:23Speaker 3: a a kid show. But just a huge fuck you
- 57:26Speaker 3: to porch Pirates. Just wanted to say that. Just apparently
- 57:30Speaker 3: he had his entire meal dropped off within a minute,
- 57:33Speaker 3: three minutes of my meal being dropped off. Porch Pirates
- 57:39Speaker 3: have to well, God gets simply safe, simply safe. Got
- 57:44Speaker 3: to get it simply safe.
- 57:47Speaker 2: Hey, that's a tough beat over the weekend, the forgetting
- 57:49Speaker 2: the diaper bag, especially when you're rocking solo and you're like,
- 57:53Speaker 2: I'm the guy, like, ain't nobody coming.
- 57:55Speaker 3: To save me? Dylan Reillo goes down, it's this is
- 57:58Speaker 3: this is TJ Latif And I could have come back
- 58:03Speaker 3: to the office with that story just coming at me
- 58:06Speaker 3: from all angles, like Coop could have come back and
- 58:08Speaker 3: just told everybody about what a fucking botmom I was,
- 58:11Speaker 3: and instead I have everybody coming up to me going, dude,
- 58:13Speaker 3: Coop said, you were killing it.
- 58:15Speaker 2: That's a good story right there, because you didn't just
- 58:17Speaker 2: throw a pick six like you ran around the pocket
- 58:19Speaker 2: a little bit and threw it across your body to
- 58:21Speaker 2: the other side of the field like a muffin, and
- 58:23Speaker 2: somebody jumped and pick it off and took to the house.
- 58:25Speaker 2: Everybody's watching like it before. Before he picked it off,
- 58:28Speaker 2: I hit him with the.
- 58:31Speaker 3: To the sideline. I was letting him know, yeah, like,
- 58:34Speaker 3: oh kids, kind of got it. That says a lot
- 58:37Speaker 3: about the character of Cooper Comstock. Yes it does. There's
- 58:41Speaker 3: another instance yesterday.
- 58:42Speaker 4: I'm not going to name who it was, but this
- 58:44Speaker 4: person backed out on an event with Coop.
- 58:48Speaker 3: Coop wasn't going to say anything. Backed out on an
- 58:49Speaker 3: event with Coop.
- 58:51Speaker 4: Yeah, it wasn't his fault, but he and then he
- 58:53Speaker 4: publicly told the office and all you hear Coop say
- 58:55Speaker 4: is I wasn't going to say anything.
- 58:57Speaker 5: I was just gonna let it, let it all out,
- 58:59Speaker 5: because that's the guy is Goop's a foxhole guy. He
- 59:02Speaker 5: is a foxhold guys. It's big ups to him too
- 59:05Speaker 5: because he doesn't he's not a parent. He does have kids,
- 59:08Speaker 5: so you could get a magnitude a range of reaction there.
- 59:11Speaker 3: Yes, and is so good with kids, so good with Scarlet.
- 59:16Speaker 3: I need to see what he's like with little scott Zilla.
- 59:19Speaker 3: Oh dude, he would kill He loves babies and he's
- 59:23Speaker 3: really good with them. He's like holding Scarlet as I would, dude.
- 59:26Speaker 3: Coop was so on it. Hey, any St sixers at home,
- 59:31Speaker 3: when you go hang out with your PT six friend
- 59:34Speaker 3: that's got a kid, be a Cooper Comstock when I'm
- 59:38Speaker 3: going to go change my little girl's diaper, which that
- 59:41Speaker 3: went awesome? Like that was great. At the game, Hey Striman,
- 59:46Speaker 3: what do you want to eat? What do you want
- 59:47Speaker 3: to drink? We'll go get food for you. I come
- 59:50Speaker 3: back with freshly changed Scarlet, he's got my food. He's like, hey,
- 59:54Speaker 3: let me hold Scarlet while you eat.
- 59:56Speaker 2: I'm like, that's a that's bro right there, Bro, that's
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: an ST six.
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: That's a that's an ST six. Or you can be
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: proud of chef. It's life is starting to feel like
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: this revolving door somewhat to me. Yeah, and not in
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: a like bad way at all, but like I need
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: to embrace just the grind. Yeah, I need to start
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: to embrace it more. I know, we like jokingly say
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: good on this podcast, which I can say that to
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: like stepping in dog poop and stuff like that's funny,
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: you know, But like truly those moments of like why
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: the hell am I sitting there on a Saturday that morning,
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: being like there's literally nothing that I want to do
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: less than go to the Stars game, Like why do
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: I feel like that? That just kind of bumps me out.
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: I'm trying to like challenge myself to be like I
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: gotta like roll with the punches.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I gotta.
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: Roll with the punch. I gotta go live life.
- 1:00:54Speaker 6: Something that I know I've said to you and I
- 1:00:56Speaker 6: probably said on the show, and it's something I have
- 1:00:57Speaker 6: to like say in my head so many times, but like,
- 1:01:00Speaker 6: and it is, it's such like a mental thing more
- 1:01:01Speaker 6: but you have you don't have to you get to like, yeah.
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: I'm always like, oh dude, I have to do all
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: this stuff.
- 1:01:07Speaker 6: When I get home, it's like no, no, no, Like I
- 1:01:08Speaker 6: live in a house that I really love with a
- 1:01:10Speaker 6: woman that I really love, and I get to do
- 1:01:13Speaker 6: all these things and I have to say it so
- 1:01:14Speaker 6: many times that I get out of this like, oh
- 1:01:16Speaker 6: we got to we have to go on this hike.
- 1:01:19Speaker 6: It sucks, but yeah, we get to go on this hike,
- 1:01:21Speaker 6: And like, how cool is it that she's that close
- 1:01:22Speaker 6: to her grandparents ruin Scott. That shift of mentality is huge.
- 1:01:27Speaker 6: So that's yes, and nail on the head, that's where
- 1:01:34Speaker 6: I need to be. That's truly where I need to be.
- 1:01:37Speaker 6: I'm being dead serious, dude, because.
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: This family right here, this day, this community, this family
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: vibes right now. But I don't know how to.
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: I don't know how to stop the rushing attack to
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: the Christmas tree. Scotty's the same way Scotty damn near
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: she did. She broke Ruth's first ornament. It's kind of
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: cracked all over, so it's very sensitive. It will fall apart.
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: We do have it back on the tree. It's hanging
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: on for dear life right now, but if it goes
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: down again, it's over with. I don't know what to do.
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: I don't know what to do. Help me, help me.
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: I don't know how to stop my child from grabbing
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: the ornaments on the Christmas tree. I have this off,
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: I have this off. How high can she reach? I
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: mean shit, but she can probably reach.
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: Like.
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: And that's about three feet off the lower part of
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: the tree, you know what I mean? Like, I know
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: you can get the ornaments up higher. But she's still
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: grabbing at this stuff on the tree. And you just
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: gotta see Scottie, gentle, gentle, and you're kind of approaching
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: them slowly.
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: Go ahead, surem okay, really quicks off target has indestructible ornaments.
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: Buy the baby its own tree that it can fuck
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: up and put the in destructible ornaments on it and
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: just let them have it.
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: Now, hang on these indestructible ornaments. Can you still take
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: them off the tree?
- 1:03:11Speaker 3: Oh? Yeah, that's what I'm saying. What's wrong with that?
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: Just ornaments all over the floor.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: That's okay. Still got to hang them back on the tree.
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: Are trying to it's still good.
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: That's what parents are trying to figure out here is
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: when the baby gets close to the tree and they
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: got a hold of an ornament, and you don't just
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: want to snap, hey stop sometimes I'll do that, Scott Scotty, no,
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: no no, And you almost you're approaching them like they're
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: like they have a gun on them. Yeah, like Scotty, easy, gentle,
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: and you slowly start walking towards them, gentle.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: They start smiling a little bit easy.
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: She starts.
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: And then you grab them and just remove them from
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: the situation. And then you just hope you're sitting there
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: playing your basketball in them guard them so they don't
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: get to the tree. And I just kind of guide her.
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: Go over there, go over there, Look at that over there,
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: Go get the ball.
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: And that's where the fake tree, the fake small tree
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: comes in. Look at that little thing, go fuck that
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: thing up.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: Okay, I see what you're saying to me.
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: No matter what, they're still ripping off, Like if you
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: get the indestructible ornaments, like yeah, it sucks with the that.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: Ruse ornaments broken.
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: But no matter what, she's ripping off ornaments from the thing, Like,
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: I still gotta I get on my hands and knees.
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: You gotta put the little hook back in the thing,
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: and then you put the ornament back on the tree.
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: Well that's okay. So here's what I would do to
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: explain it really quick. I would put a fence, like
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: a dog type gate around real, real Christmas tree with
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: breakable ornaments to distract child. Buy fifteen dollars tree that's
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: only like two feet tall, put a bunch of indestructible
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: ornaments on it, and then that's what they're fucking up
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: all the time. Does that make sense? Yeah?
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: I want to get a gait a cage of some sort.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: Yeah, and just put Scottie in it.
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: Like every time she gets in involved in something, she's
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: climbing up on rue stepstool. Now, Like I'll look over
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: and I just hear your little head popping up from

- 1:05:53Speaker 4: like an actual moving train come around and she doesn't
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: want to do They might because for me and my

- 1:06:58Speaker 4: a sacrificial lamb, and then you all all the ornaments
- 1:07:01Speaker 4: that are breakable. You don't want those stay above halfway
- 1:07:04Speaker 4: up the tree line.
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: Yeah, then I'll look over and Scott's will be at
