Transcript
- 0:00SPEAKER_01: Now, Allie and I, and I know a huge amount of you guys don't really align with the thought with with this sentiment, if you will.
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: Uh but you know, I mean, well, hence we're having our dolled up like Dolly party, right?
- 0:12SPEAKER_01: But you did ask the question.
- 0:14SPEAKER_01: You go, okay, I'm gonna I'm gonna take it a little controversial at this point.
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: Is there anybody that well hates Dolly?
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because I mean I don't like Will Smith.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: I'm very vocal about that.
- 0:24SPEAKER_01: I got mine, Jack Black.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's a great one! Jack and I are not friends.
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: I'll give you another great example why I am not a Jack Black guy.
- 0:31SPEAKER_01: I mean, one, it's the same role every single time.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: Drive it on home here, Steve.
- 0:36SPEAKER_01: Every single time.
- 0:36SPEAKER_01: Now he's gonna be singing.
- 0:38SPEAKER_01: The sing and this is the singing.
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: Now Jack Black.
- 0:41SPEAKER_01: Uh and Rockstar's sons uh will perform as Jack Sabbath.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: Who cares?
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: Who cares?
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: And it's gonna be like, oh, good.
- 0:51SPEAKER_01: Might be this.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: Let's see.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: I hate this.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: I hate this.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: Scott skin is crawling.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: I hate it.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: He sings.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: Hold up with a new bit, Jack! He sings up here.
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: Sorcerer of Jet's construction.
- 1:20SPEAKER_01: God do I hate this.
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: Why are you making it happen?
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: Okay, enough.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: I can't even do anymore.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: So that may be how you guys feel about Dolly.
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: Well, yeah, and and because it's tough, because here's the thing is I I think even if you're not a fan of her singing, you are certainly in appreciation of everything she did for reading.
- 1:40SPEAKER_01: Or oh my God, she paid those thousands for the people that lost everything in Gatlinburg.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: Uh, you know, to live.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: She's so philanthropic that it's hard to hate her, but I guess we do have a couple people.
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: Well, and we said we'd keep you anonymous.
- 1:53SPEAKER_01: I'll read this one.
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: Tired of hearing about her every day.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: I wasn't a huge Dolly fan, but there has been other big musicians and stars that did the same thing as her, and you don't hear about them for months, just only a couple of days.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: This is another one.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: This might be controversial, but stereotypes ex stereotypes exist for a reason.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: That what that one I struggle with.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: What does that mean?
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: Because she's just big-breasted that she's a dummy or something?
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: Like, what does that mean?
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: That was at one point a stereotype, I believe, because even Barbara Walters had an interview with her where it was she was kind of a dumb blonde, a bimbo, uh until you talk to her, and then you're like, oh, you are not at all.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: Well, that was the other text message that came in.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: She can't take a stance on anything.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: That's why I don't like her.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: She doesn't.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: She doesn't and she won't.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: She never did.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: She did say I would say at the end of her life, that she was going to, but never came out.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: Maybe, maybe there is this secret interview that lays somewhere that eventually she's gonna come out and be like, and I, blah blah blah.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of mysteries about her.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: One of them being the um, does she have tattoos everywhere?
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: Do you remember?
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: Do you remember that rumor?
- 3:01SPEAKER_01: Oh, right, right, right.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: I heard on a podcast, her own words, it was she she was talking, that she does not have tattoos everywhere.
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: She does have a few, but she's not tatted from like knuckles to neck.
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: So I'm still waiting to hear how she really does feel about like she loves gay people, but she had some feelings about the president that I thought she was gonna reveal.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: That whether she liked him or didn't like him.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: I'm just no, she would have been the type of person that'd be like, I'm sure he's a nice guy, but I don't love his policy.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: One You know, that's how you get around, you know, being real controversial.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: One of the things that she said was, why don't we pray for him?
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: Well, that does say a lot.
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: Well, in my mind it does.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: Exactly, but it says a lot.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: Oh God! I don't care if Jack Black picks up the Dolly Parton library and becomes as philothant philothant philanthropic.
- 4:01SPEAKER_01: Philanthropic, thank you God, you're welcome.
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: As Dolly was, because arguably well beyond her music, her aura of a being was what it was.
- 4:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you could tell me Jack Black literally picked up exactly where she left off and plans to do it till the day he dies.
- 4:15SPEAKER_01: I hope the day he dies is tomorrow.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: You're so passionate.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: I'm very lucky that Will Smith kind of fell out of grace, so I never have to see that ugly face.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: Okay, maybe that, you know, but poet and didn't know it.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: I yeah, I can understand that.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: All right, let me ask you this.
- 4:32SPEAKER_01: Since we took it to a bit of a controversial place, uh-huh.
- 4:35SPEAKER_01: Um well, why not stay there for a minute?
- 4:37SPEAKER_01: I need to play this for you.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: I came across this yesterday, and it really struck me, and it's why you should be petty.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: And I was why you should be petty.
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: And and there's a there's a full explanation that you're gonna hear here on why you should be petty.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: So I want I want you to stick around for a minute because I know what you're probably thinking.
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: Some of you are 50% of you are going, oh, I knew I was right all along.
- 5:03SPEAKER_01: And then the other ones are like, you guys.
- 5:06SPEAKER_01: Let's pray for him.
- 5:07SPEAKER_01: Let's pray for him.
- 5:08SPEAKER_01: Just give me a minute.
- 5:09SPEAKER_01: I want you to hear this guy and tell me if you think you might agree with his reasoning when you hear it.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: Or I'm a petty bitch.
