- 0:02Speaker 1: Two teas in a pod, which Teddy Mellencamp and Cambridge Edge.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Breaking news, Breaking news, Shannon was just arrested for DUI.
- 0:17Speaker 2: It just came out. Real Housewives the Orange County star
- 0:21Speaker 2: Shannon Badour arrested for a DUI hit and run struck
- 0:27Speaker 2: a house in Newport Beach. Shannon, this is on TMZ.
- 0:32Speaker 2: I haven't spoken to Tamra. I have no backstory on
- 0:35Speaker 2: any of this, but Shannon Badore's tough year just got
- 0:38Speaker 2: a lot rougher. The reality star got busted for driving
- 0:41Speaker 2: drunk this weekend in SoCal. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ
- 0:46Speaker 2: the Real Housewives Orange County star drove her car onto
- 0:50Speaker 2: a residential property in Newport Beach Saturday night and actually
- 0:53Speaker 2: clipped the house. We're told that Badoor then turned back
- 0:58Speaker 2: onto the road and kept going before parking the vehicle
- 1:01Speaker 2: in the middle of the street and getting out with
- 1:03Speaker 2: her dog. Our sources say she tried to act like
- 1:08Speaker 2: she was taking a walk When police arrived after receiving
- 1:12Speaker 2: at the nine to one one call. We're told she
- 1:14Speaker 2: wasn't fooling anyone, as she appeared wasted and was taken
- 1:17Speaker 2: into custody. Cops also sees Badoura's car as part of
- 1:21Speaker 2: the investigation into the damage of their home. A rep
- 1:26Speaker 2: for Newport Beach VD says Badoor was booked for two misdemeanors,
- 1:30Speaker 2: a hit and run and DUI and alcohol. She was
- 1:33Speaker 2: cited and released without bond. It's been a bumpy ride
- 1:36Speaker 2: for Badoor lately. In January, she publicly discussed her painful
- 1:40Speaker 2: split from her boyfriend at three and a half years,
- 1:42Speaker 2: John Jansen. Ba Door told people she was blindsided by
- 1:46Speaker 2: Jansen breaking up with her in November. I mean, we
- 1:49Speaker 2: don't even need to read anymore. One. My heart breaks
- 1:53Speaker 2: for Shannon because clearly she's going through some tough shit
- 1:57Speaker 2: because as an adult, you don't drive drunk unless shit.
- 2:03Speaker 2: I mean, there's no there's no reason for it. But
- 2:05Speaker 2: like yeah, I mean I'm scared to drive anyway sober.
- 2:11Speaker 2: But like this, there's just so much Like already, this
- 2:15Speaker 2: whole season has been so much about Gina's DUI and
- 2:18Speaker 2: all those discussions, so for this to happen, and I
- 2:22Speaker 2: know that Shannon is also an overthinker herself, so I
- 2:25Speaker 2: can only imagine what she's personally going through. She has kids,
- 2:29Speaker 2: all this stuff.
- 2:30Speaker 3: Yeah, this is bad. This is bad. My heart goes
- 2:32Speaker 3: after her. I'm just glad, well, number one, no one
- 2:35Speaker 3: was hurt, No one was hurt. I'm glad that she
- 2:37Speaker 3: was not hurt and didn't hurt anyone honestly, because you know,
- 2:42Speaker 3: all of those things have the potential to happen. Wow,
- 2:47Speaker 3: I'm I'm I'm so processing sorry. I'm gonna shock about
- 2:51Speaker 3: this whole thing. But I I hope and pray that
- 2:59Speaker 3: I don't even know what to say.
- 3:01Speaker 2: I mean, I guess the only thing I can think is, like,
- 3:05Speaker 2: if you're in a place and I think that you
- 3:09Speaker 2: know what Gina talked about when she said she was
- 3:12Speaker 2: going through that rough time and she got the DUI
- 3:15Speaker 2: and all of those things, and now she's not drinking.
- 3:18Speaker 2: But I do think this is definitely a big time
- 3:21Speaker 2: for reflection.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Well, this is a wake up call.
- 3:24Speaker 2: This is a major wake up call. Being drunk on
- 3:27Speaker 2: a television show and causing shit is very, very different
- 3:31Speaker 2: from getting into your car and driving and hitting a
- 3:34Speaker 2: house and then getting out. And like I think a
- 3:36Speaker 2: lot of the women alleging that you know, Shannon always
- 3:40Speaker 2: calls drunk Listen, I don't think mental health and wellness
- 3:46Speaker 2: is something to joke about, but I do know that
- 3:48Speaker 2: when you're struggling, and there are massive repercussions to this.
- 3:52Speaker 2: And this is also just a PSA to everyone listening
- 3:56Speaker 2: this podcast. There is absolutely no reason in this day
- 4:02Speaker 2: and age to ever drink and drive. I will not
- 4:08Speaker 2: even have one drink and get into the car because
- 4:13Speaker 2: you don't know how an alcoholic beverage is going to
- 4:16Speaker 2: hit you in your current mindset, or if you're on antidepressants,
- 4:20Speaker 2: or if you're going through treatment on something, you have
- 4:23Speaker 2: no idea. Ubers to go ten minutes cost six dollars.
- 4:29Speaker 2: It's not worth it, and I'm really so sorry for Shannon,
- 4:34Speaker 2: but also it's just.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I agree. I agree one hundred percent. Like
- 4:40Speaker 3: you know, we all have like various social lives and
- 4:42Speaker 3: like for me, there's times where I'll go out, like
- 4:45Speaker 3: I have like a one drink rule if I drive.
- 4:48Speaker 2: But you're also how tall are you? I'm five ten
- 4:51Speaker 2: five ten, I'm five to three, so one drink can
- 4:54Speaker 2: hit me.
- 4:55Speaker 3: But I know what, I know my limit and I
- 4:57Speaker 3: know and you know there's food involved, then there's like
- 5:00Speaker 3: time involved. I'm not gonna drink right before I walk
- 5:03Speaker 3: out the door, but what I'm saying, is I know
- 5:05Speaker 3: because I've been in that position where it's like, oh,
- 5:07Speaker 3: I don't think I can drive because sometimes you could
- 5:09Speaker 3: just be having a couple of glasses of money.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Like whoa wait a minute.
- 5:13Speaker 3: You know it's not like you got to be like
- 5:15Speaker 3: pounding pounding shots. Yeah, so it could be like really really,
- 5:19Speaker 3: you know, it could just scrape up on you. And
- 5:21Speaker 3: sometimes you know, things just kick in and again if
- 5:24Speaker 3: you haven't eaten, you know, like that like changes everything.
- 5:27Speaker 3: So you have to be very very careful and very mindful.
- 5:30Speaker 3: And it's something that I'm constantly reminding myself of, Like
- 5:33Speaker 3: this have been times when like when I've driven somewhere
- 5:35Speaker 3: and I'm like, I think I may have to uber
- 5:37Speaker 3: back because I don't know if I'm if I should
- 5:40Speaker 3: be driving. And I tell my twenty three year old
- 5:43Speaker 3: all the time anytime the wall goes out to dinner
- 5:46Speaker 3: or whatever, because she can drink if she wants to.
- 5:48Speaker 3: She's a you know, illegal drinking. I'm like, if you
- 5:50Speaker 3: think you're having to drink, even if it's one drink,
- 5:52Speaker 3: cause she's like five three, she's tainting, you know, I'm like, no, well,
- 5:55Speaker 3: just uber, please, just uber if you even think you're
- 5:57Speaker 3: going to have a cocktail.
- 5:59Speaker 2: And I think that's something else we don't really take
- 6:01Speaker 2: into a fuct And if you're having a bad day,
- 6:05Speaker 2: if you're already feeling down and you have a drink,
- 6:10Speaker 2: alcohol is a depressant. Yeah, like we think we feel
- 6:15Speaker 2: better in the moment. And listen, I'm not pretending that
- 6:18Speaker 2: I don't drink or I don't get overserved, but you
- 6:23Speaker 2: just never know where it's going to take you each time.
- 6:27Speaker 2: And I don't know. I'm praying for you, Shannon. I hope,
- 6:31Speaker 2: I hope that you find peace and whatever is going
- 6:35Speaker 2: on with you, that you have a support group and
- 6:39Speaker 2: you know of friendships and relationships and that you're going
- 6:43Speaker 2: to be okay. And you know, somebody's got to be
- 6:46Speaker 2: in a bad place when they try, you know, when
- 6:48Speaker 2: they make a mistake and then they try to get
- 6:50Speaker 2: out of it, is it just a double frickin whammy.
- 6:52Speaker 2: So who knows the I can't even imagine how she's
- 6:56Speaker 2: feeling today.
- 6:58Speaker 3: To you, Shannon, and that all this thing, all this
- 7:02Speaker 3: works out and and you're able to you know, just
- 7:05Speaker 3: deal with whatever you have going on.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Stay strong, Stay strong. Tamra is heading out today on
- 7:12Speaker 2: her vacation, and uh, I just kind of want to
- 7:18Speaker 2: get her on on the pod quickly and just make
- 7:24Speaker 2: sure that Shannon's okay. And so let's let's see if
- 7:27Speaker 2: we can get her on real quick. Tamra, Oh my gosh,
- 7:41Speaker 2: and I am literally like shaking.
- 7:44Speaker 4: I every cast member is sending me text messages. I
- 7:48Speaker 4: don't even know if it's true. I talked to Shannon yesterday.
- 7:51Speaker 4: She didn't say a word to me. Nothing. We were
- 7:54Speaker 4: on a conference call for Chase, and because she was
- 7:56Speaker 4: extremely quiet, I talked to her after it. There was
- 7:58Speaker 4: no word of it. And all I'm seeing is you
- 8:01Speaker 4: know what's on the on the in the press. I'm shook.
- 8:06Speaker 4: I just I'm literally shaking right now, shaking.
- 8:11Speaker 1: I feel like I'm gonna throw up.
- 8:15Speaker 4: I at first I didn't think it was true.
- 8:18Speaker 2: But if TMZ's reporting it allegedly she was arrested, was
- 8:23Speaker 2: there a mud shot? I haven't seen it yet, because
- 8:26Speaker 2: I was I've honestly been on the pod with Cynthia.
- 8:29Speaker 2: And then I was like, now I'm supposed to be
- 8:31Speaker 2: talking to Tamra having like a fun send off, but
- 8:34Speaker 2: like this is now a situation. Well I have to
- 8:37Speaker 2: ask you, like, what were her spirit you were just
- 8:39Speaker 2: with her in New York? What were her spirits? Like?
- 8:42Speaker 2: How was she?
- 8:43Speaker 1: She was fine in New York. I had a conference
- 8:46Speaker 1: call with her the other day. If this happened on Saturday.
- 8:49Speaker 1: I had a conference call with her on Sunday. She
- 8:51Speaker 1: was very quiet. She said, it's been a rough couple
- 8:54Speaker 1: of days. And that's all she told me.
- 8:57Speaker 2: And I mean the part that does it did it
- 9:00Speaker 2: say a time on there? Because it said her dog
- 9:03Speaker 2: was in the car, So like if she was out
- 9:05Speaker 2: at like a dinner or out somewhere. It was Saturday night,
- 9:09Speaker 2: But why would Archie be with her? I don't know.
- 9:14Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 9:14Speaker 1: I have no idea what she was taking him somewhere?
- 9:17Speaker 2: Did you talk to her yesterday?
- 9:18Speaker 1: I talked to her the day after this supposedly happened.
- 9:22Speaker 2: And you talked her on Sunday, yes, And she didn't
- 9:26Speaker 2: mention it.
- 9:26Speaker 1: No, That's why I instantly thought it was a lie.
- 9:30Speaker 1: This is life changing, this is going to change her life.
- 9:34Speaker 2: This it's it's actually truly heartbreaking. And and Cynthia and
- 9:39Speaker 2: I were talking about it, just like how we both
- 9:41Speaker 2: feel about drinking and driving, but like how when we
- 9:45Speaker 2: are struggling how alcohol can hit you differently.
- 9:50Speaker 1: For sure, for sure, but you know what, you make
- 9:52Speaker 1: a choice to get in a car, and that's not
- 9:53Speaker 1: a good choice. It's not a smart choice. So I mean,
- 9:56Speaker 1: I feel bad for her, and I just I'm just
- 10:02Speaker 1: happy nobody got hurt.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Yeah, and you're in real time right now, are you
- 10:06Speaker 2: guys all in a group chat?
- 10:09Speaker 1: Everyone's texting individually because some of some of the girls
- 10:13Speaker 1: have reached out to her and she hasn't responded.
- 10:18Speaker 2: I hate that no one's talked to her. I hate
- 10:20Speaker 2: even more than you.
- 10:21Speaker 1: I talked to you the other day, I know, and
- 10:23Speaker 1: said nothing. Nothing.
- 10:25Speaker 4: I'm just I'm telling you, I am shaking.
- 10:28Speaker 1: I just found out.
- 10:31Speaker 2: I mean, oh god, Oh it's not just to you.
- 10:36Speaker 2: I hit and run is even worse. But I mean,
- 10:39Speaker 2: thankfully the hit and run no one was her. But
- 10:41Speaker 2: like that's and then it says that she got out
- 10:44Speaker 2: of her car and then allegedly pretended to the cops
- 10:49Speaker 2: that she was walking the dog and the car was
- 10:53Speaker 2: ware well, allegedly she parked it on the side of
- 10:56Speaker 2: the street, but didn't she hit a house allegedly. I
- 11:02Speaker 2: don't know. I think that I think that whatever situation
- 11:06Speaker 2: she's going through is clearly been shown throughout this entire
- 11:11Speaker 2: season that there's a lot of things that she doesn't
- 11:15Speaker 2: want talked about. And I understand, and I want to
- 11:17Speaker 2: respect her privacy. And I know that she has kids,
- 11:19Speaker 2: and I know that she has, you know, allegedly a
- 11:23Speaker 2: toxic past relationship that we watch play out on television.
- 11:29Speaker 2: I mean, Shannon, we're praying for you. If you need it,
- 11:31Speaker 2: I know, let us know.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Oh my god, I just I'm just like lost for
- 11:35Speaker 1: words right now because I literally just found out. I
- 11:39Speaker 1: literally just found out. Well, her life is going to
- 11:45Speaker 1: change forever.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's something for everybody to think about. You
- 11:50Speaker 2: guys getting into.
- 11:50Speaker 1: The yes, do not drink and drive. Do not. I
- 11:54Speaker 1: don't care if it's a few drinks, Like I mean,
- 11:58Speaker 1: this could have gone really bad. Some could have been
- 12:00Speaker 1: I don't know how bad the accident was. She could
- 12:02Speaker 1: have been hurt, somebody in the house could have been hurt,
- 12:05Speaker 1: somebody could have died, like this is this is horrible.
- 12:10Speaker 2: I'm just even more in a way that you talked
- 12:13Speaker 2: to her yesterday and you haven't.
- 12:16Speaker 1: I did notice there was she was very quiet. It
- 12:21Speaker 1: was very very and it was a conference.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Well you guys, was it like a work conference call?
- 12:25Speaker 1: Yes, it was a work It was for trace a megas.
- 12:27Speaker 1: It was four people on the phone. And she did
- 12:29Speaker 1: not say one word. And I called her back. I said,
- 12:32Speaker 1: you're really quiet. She's like, yeah, it just been a
- 12:34Speaker 1: little tough. But she never said one word about it.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Oh, Shannon, Well, I guess there's there's nothing else for
- 12:43Speaker 2: us to say on this topic, you know, there there isn't.
- 12:48Speaker 2: I mean, well, I'm sure there will be more to
- 12:50Speaker 2: come out. I hope that at some point Shannon's able
- 12:54Speaker 2: to open up and be vulnerable and share, because whatever
- 12:59Speaker 2: it is that she is going through, if she is
- 13:01Speaker 2: able to open up and be vulnerable and share, people
- 13:04Speaker 2: will have empathy and understanding the depths of whatever she's
- 13:10Speaker 2: struggling with.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Yeah. I know, since her and John broke up, like,
- 13:14Speaker 1: it's been a rollercoaster on again, off again, and she's
- 13:17Speaker 1: been really sad lately. And I'm not making excuses for
- 13:22Speaker 1: anybody to have a drink and get in a car,
- 13:24Speaker 1: but I know her her mental state wasn't great lately.
- 13:30Speaker 2: It really wasn't so which that only at her.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Kid Her kids just left for college. She's home alone, she.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Had to move. They're not filming like they're an idle
- 13:41Speaker 2: mind and not having things too. When you're sad and
- 13:47Speaker 2: you're alone and there's not that next thing. And especially
- 13:52Speaker 2: and this is going to sound crazy, but especially when
- 13:55Speaker 2: you're in the world of television and you're always on
- 13:58Speaker 2: and then all of a sudden it all stops seasoned, end,
- 14:01Speaker 2: the reunion ended. She wasn't with all of you guys
- 14:04Speaker 2: at the reunion. Then you guys went to Trace amigas
- 14:07Speaker 2: uh at Watch What Happens Live. To me, the energy
- 14:11Speaker 2: felt off even there. I could see that Shannon was
- 14:15Speaker 2: turned away from.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Oh really, I didn't notice that.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Yeah, she was face the facing like the bars under
- 14:21Speaker 2: the entire time and like like it just something's going on.
- 14:27Speaker 2: But we do love you. Shannon's best for you.
- 14:30Speaker 1: I'm going to try to call her now and see
- 14:33Speaker 1: if I can talk to her.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Okay, I wish she would.
- 14:37Speaker 1: I would have told me yesterday.
- 14:38Speaker 2: I know, because then you could have probably helped her,
- 14:41Speaker 2: because it always this stuff always ends up coming out.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Okay, Yeah, I'm leaving tomorrow. I'm sure I'll be talking
- 14:49Speaker 1: with her, so.
- 14:50Speaker 2: All right, Wow, I'm gonna miss you, tamp.
- 14:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna miss you too. This really puts it down
- 14:55Speaker 1: for on everything, though I know it really does.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Well you, Tam, and please tell Shannon that I'm here
- 15:03Speaker 2: If she needs anything, I will thank you.
