- 0:17Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio.
- 0:20Speaker 3: This is why the have that noise. You're here is
- 0:22Speaker 3: my microphone?
- 0:23Speaker 1: What are you doing?
- 0:24Speaker 3: Crazy noises?
- 0:25Speaker 1: I mean, this is what happens when you get here
- 0:26Speaker 1: two minutes before the show.
- 0:27Speaker 3: Oh less than that.
- 0:28Speaker 1: I locked in about thirty seconds before we started. This
- 0:31Speaker 1: is why the NFL always wins. It will forever win. Uh,
- 0:34Speaker 1: there's you know, there's big NBA news. March is here,
- 0:38Speaker 1: March madness. Things are happening, and yet we are all
- 0:41Speaker 1: focused on Alec Pierce and the fact that Alec Pierce
- 0:45Speaker 1: is now. This is old news because it happened, as
- 0:48Speaker 1: Mikey pointed out, at around noon today, and anything that
- 0:51Speaker 1: happened four hours ago was like yesterday these days. Put
- 0:55Speaker 1: that on the poll, Mikey, is four hours ago yesterday? Yes?
- 0:59Speaker 4: Or no?
- 1:00Speaker 3: Big day for you?
- 1:01Speaker 1: Well it's yes, but I feel badly for you because
- 1:04Speaker 1: I love today. Mikey called this one of the top
- 1:08Speaker 1: ten sports days of the year, and I got angry
- 1:10Speaker 1: at him earlier, and I want to apologize. In fact,
- 1:13Speaker 1: I wanted to start the show with an apology. He
- 1:16Speaker 1: is right. The NFL has given permission to all of
- 1:20Speaker 1: its teams to tamper for the next forty eight hours
- 1:22Speaker 1: before it becomes official. And I was wrong the next
- 1:27Speaker 1: two days or two of the top ten sports days
- 1:30Speaker 1: on the sports calendar, and they are two days of
- 1:34Speaker 1: the top ten days. That is real hates on the
- 1:37Speaker 1: sports calendar. I don't hate it, it's.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Just so I thought you were going to say initially
- 1:42Speaker 3: that it made me sad today, because as a dolphin's lifer,
- 1:46Speaker 3: I guess you could say it's a sad day. Two
- 1:49Speaker 3: is gone, everybody's gone. Malik Willis is on board. Okay, yeah,
- 1:53Speaker 3: but yeah, the whole idea of this being a big day,
- 1:57Speaker 3: it's just too much to keep track of, Like I
- 2:00Speaker 3: need a few months just to slow down, get my
- 2:03Speaker 3: brain accustomed to all these people being on different teams,
- 2:06Speaker 3: or if you're I like your same team, and then realizing, oh, okay,
- 2:11Speaker 3: stuff has changed, but today too much, too fast. I
- 2:16Speaker 3: feel like I don't even know how Adam Schefter keeps
- 2:18Speaker 3: up with this. He probably has somebody that edits his
- 2:21Speaker 3: texts just in case.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Yeah, Schefter has a listen. He has a very difficult job.
- 2:27Speaker 1: The news is coming in fast and furious. Well, it's
- 2:30Speaker 1: why I like today's news. I love today too, furious,
- 2:33Speaker 1: I love today, I love tomorrow. And Schefter is earning
- 2:36Speaker 1: his money. So is Diana Russini. But again, I feel
- 2:39Speaker 1: badly for you because I know you want to talk
- 2:41Speaker 1: about heat.
- 2:42Speaker 3: And so and so listen, not even heat. Yes, I've
- 2:46Speaker 3: got a line in my notes that says, when we're
- 2:48Speaker 3: talking about Boston, we're not talking white enough, and it's
- 2:52Speaker 3: just to get into a Derek White conversation. But no,
- 2:55Speaker 3: we'll never get there.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Put it on the Paul Taylor. If you don't know
- 2:58Speaker 1: the names of the play that your team is signing today,
- 3:02Speaker 1: does it dampen free agency for you? You have to
- 3:04Speaker 1: know who the guy is. Mikey is claiming that the
- 3:06Speaker 1: Jets have signed four guys he doesn't know any of them.
- 3:08Speaker 5: I mean, well, I don't know three of them.
- 3:12Speaker 3: Make fitz Patrick is a notable man.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Yes they are. They're a lot closer to an interception
- 3:17Speaker 1: this year than they were a year ago. I totally
- 3:20Speaker 1: forget that makeup.
- 3:23Speaker 6: Fitzpatrick had one interception last year, he would have led
- 3:26Speaker 6: the Jets.
- 3:26Speaker 3: The goal of the Jets offseason is to get closer
- 3:29Speaker 3: to an interception. Yeah, that just shows you what kind
- 3:32Speaker 3: of an organization we're talking about.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I want to tell the guys in Sherman Oaks, specifically
- 3:38Speaker 1: Dan Bayer, that you can hit that sounder, that breaking
- 3:41Speaker 1: news sounder. I don't care if I'm talking, if is
- 3:45Speaker 1: he's talking, If I'm talking, I don't care what we're
- 3:47Speaker 1: talking about. So, Derek White, if NFL news breaks, Dan Byer,
- 3:54Speaker 1: please hit that sounder, and if you wouldn't mind, please
- 3:57Speaker 1: deliver whatever the news is, because if you it to me,
- 4:00Speaker 1: Mikey or Taylor, Uh, we're probably gonna botch it. We're
- 4:03Speaker 1: not professional. And is he's not paying attention to any
- 4:06Speaker 1: of this.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Well, now, I'm just wondering if Dan told the bosses
- 4:09Speaker 3: that he would require a raise working for you because
- 4:12Speaker 3: he's doing so much more work.
- 4:13Speaker 1: I am told that Dan Byer is very protective of
- 4:16Speaker 1: the news breaking sound Yes, Dan, if you wouldn't mind
- 4:20Speaker 1: coming to the microphone. I am wondering here why that is?
- 4:23Speaker 1: Why are you so protective of the news breaking sound.
- 4:26Speaker 1: This is a big day and the next two days
- 4:27Speaker 1: are big days. We're we're doing live radio and you
- 4:30Speaker 1: were just breaking left and right. Yeah, you don't have
- 4:32Speaker 1: to tell me. And that's the reason why.
- 4:33Speaker 4: So when we say that, when we play that breaking
- 4:37Speaker 4: news sounder and we tell you that to Mario Davis
- 4:39Speaker 4: has signed that deal with the Jets, we don't want
- 4:42Speaker 4: people to think that it's a crazy joke deal that
- 4:46Speaker 4: your pet just got spader neutered, like those are the
- 4:49Speaker 4: We want to make sure that people understand when you
- 4:51Speaker 4: hear that specific sound that that is the breaking news
- 4:55Speaker 4: sound and not the silly breaking news that your lunch
- 4:58Speaker 4: is late and hasn't shown up yet.
- 5:01Speaker 6: So can I get the sound then right now? Because
- 5:03Speaker 6: we might have some.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, breaking news from Fox Awards.
- 5:12Speaker 6: All right, Former Bears defensive end Dominique Robinson is headed
- 5:15Speaker 6: to Houston on a one year deal worth up to
- 5:18Speaker 6: four million news.
- 5:19Speaker 4: Enough now, yeah, that's that's where the responsibility comes in.
- 5:23Speaker 4: Does Dominique Robinson on a one year deal rise to
- 5:26Speaker 4: the level of this magnificent piece of audio that we
- 5:30Speaker 4: all love to play.
- 5:31Speaker 1: I appreciate your right, right, he's not worthy. It's a
- 5:34Speaker 1: great question. Who is that?
- 5:39Speaker 7: I'm with Dan though, So where do you.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Draw the line, Like, is Alec Pierce worthy of that? Sound?
- 5:45Speaker 7: Sure?
- 5:45Speaker 4: Yes, absolutely, you know we do play favorites and if
- 5:49Speaker 4: you're a skill position, you front of the line, baby,
- 5:53Speaker 4: like it is there. I'm looking at ESPN's free agent
- 5:56Speaker 4: board and it has like three other top eight off
- 5:59Speaker 4: and I'm like, what, like we're like, you know etns
- 6:02Speaker 4: with the Saints. Now you mentioned Alic Piers back with
- 6:04Speaker 4: the Colts, Michael Pittman juniors, no member of the Steelers, Like,
- 6:07Speaker 4: those are all big deals and I know Michael Pittman
- 6:09Speaker 4: Junior is not a free agent. But the point being
- 6:11Speaker 4: is the free agents that they consider guards and defensive
- 6:14Speaker 4: tackles and stuff like that. No, when your skill position
- 6:17Speaker 4: front of the line here on Fox Sports Radio.
- 6:19Speaker 1: All right, so you get the sounder for that. Even
- 6:21Speaker 1: though you know you're a guy who caught forty one
- 6:24Speaker 1: catches last year, you still get the sounder because you're
- 6:26Speaker 1: a guy you can catch touchdown. All right?
- 6:27Speaker 4: Let can we can we take a poll? What's a
- 6:29Speaker 4: bigger what's a bigger signing? Zion Johnson to the Browns
- 6:32Speaker 4: or Kenneth Gainwell to the Buccaneers.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Cleay dump with that Pole Righters.
- 6:37Speaker 7: Yeah, Dan, I am with you though, but where you
- 6:42Speaker 7: lost me a bit with the skill position. I think
- 6:45Speaker 7: Tyler Lindebaum deserves the sounder.
- 6:47Speaker 4: Hey, Tyler, you know what, every rule has an exception,
- 6:51Speaker 4: and that is one of them, so.
- 6:53Speaker 1: That works as well.
- 6:54Speaker 4: Jalen Phillips obviously on a huge deal to go to
- 6:58Speaker 4: the Panthers. I think thirty million in the year for
- 7:01Speaker 4: the edge Rusher, former Dolphin, former Eagle. But yeah, those
- 7:05Speaker 4: are those are worthy. It's not just it's not just everybody,
- 7:08Speaker 4: but Linderbaum was one of the top guys.
- 7:11Speaker 3: How do you sure Michael Pittman feels about going being
- 7:14Speaker 3: traded to the Steelers, a team with no quarterback at
- 7:17Speaker 3: the moment, we assume it's gonna be Aaron Rodgers, but
- 7:19Speaker 3: you never know.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Right, I mean, Alec Pierce is going to play with
- 7:23Speaker 1: with Daniel Jones. Daniel Jones maybe, according to reports, turned
- 7:27Speaker 1: down Sam Darnell type money and came back to them
- 7:31Speaker 1: with a fifty million dollar a year proposal and the
- 7:34Speaker 1: Colts are going to transition tag him as they should
- 7:37Speaker 1: by the way, go ahead.
- 7:38Speaker 7: So it looks like Michael Pittman Junior already agreed to
- 7:41Speaker 7: terms with a three year, fifty nine million dollar contract.
- 7:44Speaker 7: Is he So if I had a guess, he's he's
- 7:46Speaker 7: not doing too bad over there.
- 7:48Speaker 3: I mean he's not worried about his quarterback, that's for sure.
- 7:50Speaker 3: I'm worried about that bank.
- 7:51Speaker 6: So let me ask Dan Byer this question. Should we
- 7:55Speaker 6: be doing it based on position or should we be
- 7:57Speaker 6: doing it based on money? So if a guy makes
- 7:59Speaker 6: a certain amount, is that good enough.
- 8:01Speaker 1: For breaking it's a dance.
- 8:04Speaker 4: I'm telling him, Mikey like it truly is a bit
- 8:06Speaker 4: of a dance, and how you have to figure it out?
- 8:08Speaker 3: Founder and tell me that a kicker has changed locations.
- 8:11Speaker 3: I'm canceling the sounder for good.
- 8:13Speaker 1: I mean, it's free agency, it's the NFL. I want
- 8:15Speaker 1: that sounder for every single move that is made from here.
- 8:19Speaker 5: Until five o'clock Eastern.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Okay, Nick Folks has signed a two year deal with
- 8:23Speaker 1: the Falcons. So he didn't wait for the sounds from Fox.
- 8:26Speaker 6: I didn't know he was going to get it to me.
- 8:28Speaker 4: I think we can also have when we're deciding all
- 8:32Speaker 4: of this stuff, guys just name recognition I mentioned skill
- 8:36Speaker 4: position players. A lot of that does fantasy wise, where
- 8:38Speaker 4: people love to hear where their fantasy guys are going
- 8:41Speaker 4: or could be going in situations.
- 8:43Speaker 1: So that's that's another one.
- 8:45Speaker 4: However, like Wandale, Robinson gets a lot of money to
- 8:48Speaker 4: go to the Titans on a four year deal seventy
- 8:52Speaker 4: million dollars I believe, and it's nineteenth on the list
- 8:55Speaker 4: I think of moves today, So it is a dance.
- 8:59Speaker 1: It is.
- 9:00Speaker 5: I just want that sounder though, I mean breaking news
- 9:07Speaker 5: from Fox Sports.
- 9:09Speaker 1: He's gonna kill us, Taylor.
- 9:11Speaker 7: I had Wondl Robinson as my seventeenth best signing of
- 9:13Speaker 7: the sixteenth sixteenth.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Yeah, margin he's an underrated wide receiver.
- 9:19Speaker 7: He is reuniting with Brian Dable in Tennessee.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Yeah. How about Isaiah Likely? Yes, reunited with John Harbob
- 9:26Speaker 1: the Giants. This is why is his head's going to explode?
- 9:28Speaker 7: Reunions?
- 9:29Speaker 1: Yeah, he just wants to talk about the heat getting
- 9:31Speaker 1: hot and healthy at the right time.
- 9:32Speaker 3: That's very confusing, is say a Likely signing with the
- 9:35Speaker 3: Giants definite or not?
- 9:36Speaker 1: It is? Well, I mean it's tampering day. It's not
- 9:40Speaker 1: official to Wednesday.
- 9:42Speaker 3: It's just the last time it happens.
- 9:45Speaker 1: I mean, just think about the size of this league
- 9:47Speaker 1: and the fact that they have given their team's permission
- 9:50Speaker 1: to break the law. It's a tamper. It's amazing, it's fun.
- 9:54Speaker 3: That is one way to make it basically an NFL
- 9:56Speaker 3: purge version of the purge for a few days and
- 9:59Speaker 3: ever nobody gets away with it. It does sound pretty cool.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Alec Pierce is going to be making the same money
- 10:06Speaker 1: next year as T Higgins.
- 10:09Speaker 3: I would like to note at the end of next year,
- 10:12Speaker 3: Alec Pierce's price per target dollars per target sent his way,
- 10:16Speaker 3: and let's see if that's if he is not the
- 10:18Speaker 3: most expensive per target wide receiver in the NFL. Although
- 10:22Speaker 3: Michael Pittman and he with no quarterback now in Pittsburgh,
- 10:25Speaker 3: probably a little annoyed too. It's like, really, they kept
- 10:27Speaker 3: that guy over me.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Yeah, you're a Dolphin fan? Have the Dolphins? Are you
- 10:31Speaker 1: excited here? Well? I was going to say yours, but
- 10:34Speaker 1: it's Malik Willis a new quarterback. They get rid of Tua,
- 10:37Speaker 1: the worst contract in the history of the NFL, and
- 10:40Speaker 1: it looks like two is going to sign with the
- 10:41Speaker 1: Atlanta Falcons, and I happen to think that's a very
- 10:43Speaker 1: good fit for Tua. But are you excited by Malik Willis?
- 10:47Speaker 3: How would I be excited about it?
- 10:49Speaker 1: Because this is the day you're supposed to be excited, right,
- 10:52Speaker 1: And this is what the NFL does, is he Okay,
- 10:54Speaker 1: it takes a couple of days in March and he
- 10:56Speaker 1: tries to get every fan base excited. And every fan
- 10:59Speaker 1: base today is excit except for the New York Jets.
- 11:02Speaker 3: Well, what I'm not gonna do is allow the NFL
- 11:04Speaker 3: to take full credit for this. Hey, players are changing
- 11:08Speaker 3: teams in the off season. Let's make that part of
- 11:11Speaker 3: our calendar every year and make it really exciting. The
- 11:15Speaker 3: NBA is the king of that. So let's not get
- 11:17Speaker 3: in here and say the NFL, oh, this is their day.
- 11:19Speaker 3: This is new for the NFL making the off season
- 11:22Speaker 3: that huge of a deal.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Would I be excited.
- 11:25Speaker 3: About the Dolphins?
- 11:26Speaker 2: No.
- 11:27Speaker 3: I am somebody who's been a Dolphins I mean fan
- 11:30Speaker 3: by default his entire life, and over the last twenty
- 11:33Speaker 3: five years, they've just slowly trickled that feeling out of
- 11:37Speaker 3: my system. And so when they're going through the dark
- 11:40Speaker 3: times like they are right now with you know, no
- 11:42Speaker 3: quarterback well now, Malik Willis, but no real hope for
- 11:46Speaker 3: any sort of success. Then I'm entirely detached to them.
- 11:49Speaker 3: So no, no level of excitement.
- 11:50Speaker 7: Okay, is he? We learned this though with the Christmas
- 11:52Speaker 7: Games with the NBA. If the NFL wants to be
- 11:55Speaker 7: the king of something, the NFL is going to be
- 11:56Speaker 7: the king of something.
- 11:57Speaker 3: Yeah, they can try, and you know, but they're you know,
- 12:00Speaker 3: they're succeeding. I'm not saying they're not.
- 12:03Speaker 6: They're doing this.
- 12:04Speaker 3: I'm just saying we all know where they got the idea.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Okay, we all know they stole it from the NBA clearly.
- 12:12Speaker 5: Okay, breaking news from Fox Sports.
- 12:18Speaker 4: The guys hyphens get you to the front of the line.
- 12:21Speaker 4: The Titans sunning veteran defensive lineman John Franklin Myers to
- 12:24Speaker 4: a three year deal, according to multiple reports, he formerly
- 12:28Speaker 4: of the Denver Broncos. Three years, sixty three million dollars.
- 12:32Speaker 4: Titans trying to show up their defensive line.
- 12:35Speaker 1: JFN. How about that, JFM? I think I said end
- 12:40Speaker 1: instead of end, because he's right. The news is happening
- 12:43Speaker 1: so fast and it's coming in so furious. I can't
- 12:45Speaker 1: keep up with it. I love the NFL eight seven
- 12:48Speaker 1: seven ninety nine on Fox. That is eight seven to
- 12:50Speaker 1: seven ninety nine on Fix.
- 12:52Speaker 3: I don't know if you notice, but the NFL is
- 12:54Speaker 3: also trying to take the trade deadline away from the.
- 12:57Speaker 8: NFC because it's a lot more not a whole bunch,
- 13:00Speaker 8: but a lot more notable names they get traded during
- 13:04Speaker 8: the NFL trade deadline than they did, say, ten fifteen
- 13:07Speaker 8: years ago.
- 13:07Speaker 3: So I think it's pretty clear player movement. They realized, oh,
- 13:11Speaker 3: gets a lot of people interested.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Yes, Mike Evans goes to the San Francisco forty nine ers,
- 13:17Speaker 1: you don't like that.
- 13:18Speaker 3: I just think Mike Evans has seen his best days,
- 13:20Speaker 3: and even when they were his best days, yeah, he
- 13:23Speaker 3: was a great number one for a while, but I
- 13:25Speaker 3: think he's seen his best days, and I think he's
- 13:27Speaker 3: going to a place where, you know, offensively, he thinks, oh, okay,
- 13:31Speaker 3: I can get my numbers based on scheme because I
- 13:33Speaker 3: don't need to really, you know, shake a cornerback necessarily.
- 13:36Speaker 3: This is just a really strong offense here. So I
- 13:40Speaker 3: also think it's very confident that he's not going to
- 13:43Speaker 3: get injured. Yeah, practicing next to that that substation.
- 13:48Speaker 4: The success of the forty nine ers with them continuingly
- 13:51Speaker 4: just to get older and older, like this is this
- 13:54Speaker 4: is amazing because remember at one point, guys, they had
- 13:57Speaker 4: a young Brandon Aiyukta rookie deal. Deebo was as well,
- 14:01Speaker 4: Christian McCaffrey was fresh legs, and everything was looking roses
- 14:05Speaker 4: as Rock Purdy comes in. Now are you's gone? Samuel's
- 14:10Speaker 4: in DC, They're signing Mike Evans to a deal. McCaffrey's
- 14:13Speaker 4: got thirty thousand more miles on his tires. It's amazing
- 14:17Speaker 4: on how the forty nine ers just they're the only
- 14:19Speaker 4: team in the NFL like, yeah, let's get older, let's
- 14:21Speaker 4: do this.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Yes, but they still win the NF the NFC West,
- 14:26Speaker 1: well not nearly enough. You're right, they win, right, they
- 14:29Speaker 1: haven't won enough. They haven't won the Super Bowl, And
- 14:31Speaker 1: of course Mike Evans is chasing that that ring that's
- 14:34Speaker 1: eluded him. According to Jason McIntire, sniffed his entire career.
- 14:40Speaker 1: I think the NFC West this season will have the
- 14:44Speaker 1: greatest collection of wide receivers in one division in the
- 14:48Speaker 1: history of the NFL. When you're talking about Jackson Smith
- 14:52Speaker 1: and Jigba, I could say.
- 14:53Speaker 5: That name man, Can I say it?
- 14:55Speaker 3: Nice?
- 14:55Speaker 1: Said confidence?
- 14:56Speaker 5: Yeah I can.
- 14:56Speaker 6: Yeah you can.
- 14:57Speaker 1: When you're talking about Davante Adams, pookin a kula and
- 15:01Speaker 1: now you add Mike Evans, I mean, are you kidding me?
- 15:04Speaker 7: Greg Dorsch, too, Dorchy.
- 15:09Speaker 5: Breaking news from Fox Sports.
- 15:11Speaker 4: Remaine Edmunds leaving Chicago as the linebacker gets a three
- 15:15Speaker 4: year deal worth thirty six million dollars to play for
- 15:18Speaker 4: John Harbaugh the New York Giants.
- 15:21Speaker 1: What was the role there? Because no hyphen not a
- 15:23Speaker 1: skilled position player. Why'd you break the rule there? Why not?
- 15:26Speaker 6: That's a top linebacker.
- 15:28Speaker 1: I'm with you, it's his rules.
- 15:30Speaker 9: Greg dors Dorch, try, Greg Dorch's clueless, and yet he
- 15:39Speaker 9: is one of the one of the collections.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Of the greatest wide receivers in the division's history.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Yes to out well, eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
- 15:49Speaker 1: That is eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. We
- 15:51Speaker 1: do have some basketball though, because I do have the
- 15:53Speaker 1: Bleacher Reports top.
- 15:55Speaker 3: Players of all that's been going on currently, Let's just
- 15:58Speaker 3: go back in the archive, years and years and years
- 16:01Speaker 3: of basketball.
- 16:01Speaker 1: I'll take you through through the eighties today. Let your

- 16:09Speaker 1: to the Bleacher Report, wide open fall lines the entire
- 16:12Speaker 1: show today, callin, talk about whatever you want.
- 16:13Speaker 5: NFL Free Agency, I don't care.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. That is eight
- 16:17Speaker 1: seven seven ninety nine on Fox. And if you're interested
- 16:20Speaker 1: in all the moves that happened before noon Eastern today,
- 16:24Speaker 1: you could listen to Mike Golick stew Gotts in Company.
- 16:28Speaker 1: We recorded with him before the show. But as Mikey
- 16:31Speaker 1: pointed out, four hours ago was like yesterday. We also
- 16:34Speaker 1: have the we Ken observations at Stegotson Company right now.
- 16:38Speaker 3: Yes, no, no, no, we are in the eighties. That's right.
- 16:40Speaker 3: I was just gonna say, if we can take me
- 16:42Speaker 3: through like the eighties in general in basketball, we can
- 16:44Speaker 3: spend the day doing that.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Is he would be happy if I went through the
- 16:47Speaker 1: entire list today.
- 16:49Speaker 6: That's Dan Shaughnessy's beat right there.
- 16:52Speaker 3: One thousand would be great.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Gotson Company
- 16:57Speaker 2: Live weekday said three pm in twelve pm Pacific on
- 17:01Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
- 17:07Speaker 1: We will have the eightieth through eighty ninth best player
- 17:12Speaker 1: in NBA history, according to the Bleacher Report. Coming up
- 17:16Speaker 1: in the final.
- 17:16Speaker 3: Segment pretty close ninety eighty one.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Well, whatever it is, fast and furious NFL News Indianapolis.
- 17:24Speaker 3: It's too furious.
- 17:26Speaker 1: I do want to talk Lakers here in a second?
- 17:28Speaker 5: Is he?
- 17:28Speaker 1: But I am wondering good day or bad day for
- 17:31Speaker 1: running backs because that position has kind of gone up
- 17:35Speaker 1: and down. At one time when I was growing up,
- 17:38Speaker 1: running back was I would say quarterback then running back.
- 17:42Speaker 1: In terms of premier positions in the NFL, EMMITTT. Smith
- 17:45Speaker 1: was a star. OJ Simpson was a star when I
- 17:48Speaker 1: was growing up, Man, am I old?
- 17:50Speaker 3: EMMITTT. Smith is the name that I would say, because
- 17:53Speaker 3: if I remember correctly, just going based on memory, EMMITTT.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Smith was the most important player in the NFL. He
- 17:59Speaker 3: was because he held out, Yeah, and then the team,
- 18:02Speaker 3: the Dawnas Cowboys were terrible without him, and then he
- 18:05Speaker 3: came back and all of a sudden boom another super Bowl.
- 18:07Speaker 1: The reason I'm asking if it's a good day or
- 18:09Speaker 1: a bad day. Running backs are getting paid. That's a
- 18:11Speaker 1: good thing. Okay, they are getting paid, but then yeah,
- 18:15Speaker 1: Kenneth Walker, though, is a Super Bowl MVP. He is
- 18:18Speaker 1: six weeks removed from being the Super Bowl MVP, and
- 18:22Speaker 1: yet the Seahawks didn't think enough of the Super Bowl
- 18:25Speaker 1: MVP to re sign him, and now he's in Kansas City.
- 18:28Speaker 1: And so now I'm wondering what happens with Jeremiah Love
- 18:31Speaker 1: because that was one of the landing spots for him
- 18:33Speaker 1: in the draft. The Saints were another. So perhaps there's
- 18:36Speaker 1: a team who's way up in the draft who's going
- 18:39Speaker 1: to take them with a top five pick. But I'm
- 18:42Speaker 1: just trying to figure out good day, bad day for
- 18:43Speaker 1: running backs.
- 18:44Speaker 3: You think Walker would rather have had a slightly less
- 18:47Speaker 3: good game in the Super Bowl and stayed with the
- 18:50Speaker 3: Seahawks because I think, like to me, if you're lead
- 18:53Speaker 3: changing teams, you get your Super Bowl MVP. I was
- 18:54Speaker 3: just thinking to myself, you know, does that really happen
- 18:57Speaker 3: to Super Bowl MVP's changed team the very you know,
- 19:00Speaker 3: next month, at the very following off season. But if
- 19:03Speaker 3: I'm him, especially at that position, I'd rather just have
- 19:06Speaker 3: the great game in the Super Bowl, I don't care
- 19:07Speaker 3: where I end up.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Well, he ended up in Kansas City, right, Well, again,
- 19:12Speaker 1: is he closer to his Super Bowl? Yeah?
- 19:14Speaker 3: One is closer to back to back Super Bowl than
- 19:17Speaker 3: he would have been if he would have stayed in Seattle.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Yes, Mikey, that rules out Jeremiah Love to the Chiefs
- 19:22Speaker 1: in the draft there, right, I mean it has to
- 19:23Speaker 1: obviously at this point.
- 19:26Speaker 5: Yeah, I think.
- 19:27Speaker 6: And the other team that they was talking about taking
- 19:29Speaker 6: him was the Saints a pick earlier at Steve Martin,
- 19:31Speaker 6: he's travest.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Yeah, just said that. Thank you, Taylor. He got you
- 19:35Speaker 1: with a Steve Martin. If you're wondering why he did that,
- 19:38Speaker 1: it's because one time on when I was doing the
- 19:40Speaker 1: show with Dan, we were talking about Steve Martin as
- 19:42Speaker 1: a prop comic.
- 19:44Speaker 5: Play that back.
- 19:45Speaker 3: You're talking about prep comics in general.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Yes, and and someone blurted out Steve Martin as one
- 19:50Speaker 1: of the all time great prop comics and a few
- 19:53Speaker 1: seconds later I two said Steve Morton.
- 19:57Speaker 5: Because I wasn't listening.
- 19:58Speaker 7: But Stu, what if there's a conspira that the Saints
- 20:01Speaker 7: and the Chiefs picking at eight to nine, if they
- 20:04Speaker 7: know somebody inside the top five is gonna pick, is
- 20:07Speaker 7: gonna pick Jeremiah Love And they were maybe tipped off
- 20:10Speaker 7: to that, So that kind of got the running back
- 20:13Speaker 7: market going.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Steve Martin is That's how I open the segment. A
- 20:21Speaker 1: couple of Steve Martin's cutting it.
- 20:22Speaker 3: Up make for a good show.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Actually, Izzy, I'm gonna talk some MBA here. And by
- 20:30Speaker 1: the way, if NFL news breaks, I want the sounder,
- 20:33Speaker 1: I want Dan Bayer. I don't care what the news is.
- 20:35Speaker 1: I don't care how big how small. Today is an
- 20:38Speaker 1: NFL dead pickers. We will talk. We will talk some
- 20:41Speaker 1: MBA here for a second. The Lakers, they appear. I
- 20:44Speaker 1: can't believe I'm saying this, but it appears that when
- 20:47Speaker 1: they play Luca and Austin Reeves, they're a championship contending team.
- 20:52Speaker 1: But Lebron, that Lebron guy is getting in the way,
- 20:55Speaker 1: and so it begs the question, I think they're nine
- 20:57Speaker 1: and two when those two play Luca and without Lebron.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Are the Lakers better without Lebron James?
- 21:06Speaker 3: It's funny, they are better without two guys who complain
- 21:10Speaker 3: to the refs and don't get back on defense.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Right.
- 21:12Speaker 3: If they only have one of those guys right and
- 21:14Speaker 3: the other are giving full effort, then yeah, maybe they
- 21:19Speaker 3: will be a pretty decent team. And this is why
- 21:22Speaker 3: I was talking with you earlier in the season about
- 21:25Speaker 3: basically like in retrospect, hindsight being twenty twenty and being
- 21:29Speaker 3: very distant because you have to go like eight years,
- 21:31Speaker 3: nine years back. But will Lebron joining the Lakers be
- 21:34Speaker 3: viewed as a mistake by him because they as a
- 21:38Speaker 3: franchise are bigger than Lebron. Right, so when they had
- 21:41Speaker 3: the idea of getting Luka Doncic, they're not thinking about Lebron.
- 21:45Speaker 3: They're thinking about a future beyond Lebron. In their minds,
- 21:47Speaker 3: They've already cashed in with Lebron. They won a championship
- 21:50Speaker 3: and you know, got a lot more attention after Kobe
- 21:53Speaker 3: Bryant retired, and so you know, are they better without Lebron? James,
- 21:58Speaker 3: I don't think there's really any question that when you're
- 22:01Speaker 3: building a team around Luka Doncic, do you want a
- 22:04Speaker 3: forty one year old wing player as a forty year
- 22:07Speaker 3: old wing player as a complimentary piece there? No, it
- 22:10Speaker 3: doesn't really work. And so if you go watch that footage, now,
- 22:13Speaker 3: the Knicks are a little tricky. Knicks lose some games
- 22:16Speaker 3: against some teams that you're just like, wait, should they
- 22:18Speaker 3: have competed a little bit more there? You don't know
- 22:19Speaker 3: what's what really the deal is there? But when you
- 22:22Speaker 3: watch them play against that Knicks team, and watch everybody
- 22:25Speaker 3: else put in the effort dive on the floor for
- 22:28Speaker 3: loose balls. That's the type of stuff you just can't
- 22:31Speaker 3: get from Lebron. Instead, what you get from Lebron is, oh,
- 22:34Speaker 3: I landed on my right elbow, but my left elbow hurts,
- 22:37Speaker 3: so I'm gonna lay down here until somebody picks me up.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Do you think Lebron, knowing Lebron the way that you do,
- 22:44Speaker 1: following his career, the way you followed his career, who
- 22:46Speaker 1: was down here obviously in Miami for a number of years,
- 22:49Speaker 1: you think he's enjoying the fact that everyone's talking about this,
- 22:51Speaker 1: that maybe the Lakers are better off without him. This
- 22:54Speaker 1: is not the way Lebron wants to go out.
- 22:56Speaker 3: No, what I do think that he's considering is just
- 22:58Speaker 3: a little bit of the idea of man, did I
- 23:02Speaker 3: sort of, for lack of a better phrase, let go
- 23:05Speaker 3: of the rope a little too soon? Because again, I
- 23:08Speaker 3: think I talked to you about this a little while ago.
- 23:10Speaker 3: But when he won that twenty twenty title, his big
- 23:12Speaker 3: quote afterwards and I deserve my respect too, like it
- 23:14Speaker 3: felt like he just wanted to cash in on all
- 23:17Speaker 3: the doubters after that fourth title, you know, one with
- 23:21Speaker 3: a third team. And granted, he does deserve his respect,
- 23:25Speaker 3: but he wasn't as championship hungary over the last six
- 23:28Speaker 3: seven years as he was, you know, his first ten
- 23:31Speaker 3: to twelve years. And so I feel like that the
- 23:34Speaker 3: LA experience has softened him a little bit, and I
- 23:36Speaker 3: don't think he's going to get another one before he leaves.
- 23:39Speaker 1: He won the one in the bubble. I mean, signing
- 23:41Speaker 1: with the Lakers has been a good thing for Lebron.
- 23:43Speaker 1: He won a championship with the Lake.
- 23:44Speaker 3: Let me ask you that.
- 23:45Speaker 1: I know it was in a bubble and people have
- 23:47Speaker 1: an issue with that. I have an issue with that
- 23:49Speaker 1: because it didn't feel like a real title at the time,
- 23:51Speaker 1: but that was the hand that we were all the season.
- 23:54Speaker 3: COVID doesn't happen, let's just present presume they still win
- 23:57Speaker 3: the championship. You can't really take it away from him.
- 24:00Speaker 3: If he had instead of going back to or instead
- 24:03Speaker 3: of going to the Lakers after he left Cleveland, had
- 24:05Speaker 3: he gone back to Miami, let's just say, right, don't
- 24:08Speaker 3: you think they would have done everything possible to put
- 24:12Speaker 3: championship level teams on the floor every single year of
- 24:16Speaker 3: Lebron versus the Lakers, who I don't know, maybe they
- 24:19Speaker 3: just got a little comfortable because they won one in
- 24:21Speaker 3: twenty twenty. It just felt like over an eight to
- 24:24Speaker 3: ten years spare and he should have been in more
- 24:27Speaker 3: than just the one finals.
- 24:28Speaker 7: It's always strange to me when I hear Stu Gotts
- 24:30Speaker 7: rip Lebron, because if you had to make a list
- 24:33Speaker 7: of top five people who parlayed Lebron going to Miami
- 24:37Speaker 7: into a bigger and better career for themselves, big winner,
- 24:41Speaker 7: I have Windhorse one and Stu Gotts probably too.
- 24:44Speaker 1: I mean Levatar's on that list. I mean, don't get yourself.
- 24:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I think I'm probably a lie, but I gotta
- 24:50Speaker 3: be up there.
- 24:50Speaker 7: You have Ethan Skolnick, Sadano.
- 24:56Speaker 3: Yeah, man, thank you Lebron.
- 24:59Speaker 1: Yes, it's why we used to call our studios down
- 25:01Speaker 1: at the Cleveland. They're the house that Lebron built, Dan
- 25:04Speaker 1: and I didn't build that thing.
- 25:06Speaker 5: It's god breaking news from Fox.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Sports, guys.
- 25:11Speaker 4: I passed this over to our NFL correspondent mikey A
- 25:14Speaker 4: for the latest. Mikey A take it away, Wow, handoff, huh.
- 25:18Speaker 7: Oh boy, I gotta bring it up now.
- 25:20Speaker 6: I was all waiting for Uh for Dan to do it,
- 25:22Speaker 6: but the news is case Keenum signing with the Bears.
- 25:26Speaker 4: Wow, I just would have made us sound bigger, like
- 25:29Speaker 4: we have correspondence everywhere planted.
- 25:31Speaker 1: No, I know, I like what you did. He just
- 25:33Speaker 1: wasn't ready for it, Dan, I do I do? I
- 25:35Speaker 1: like you throwing it around like we're throwing it around
- 25:36Speaker 1: the country. We get a live look at.
- 25:38Speaker 3: He said you did it backwards. You gotta go with
- 25:40Speaker 3: the most entertaining or interesting part of that sentence, which
- 25:43Speaker 3: is the Bears well before case Ketum. So you say
- 25:46Speaker 3: the Bears are Reese are signing quarterback, and then you're
- 25:50Speaker 3: dropping it.
- 25:50Speaker 1: You gotta leave us hanging. Yes, you want to try
- 25:52Speaker 1: it again. Let's try it again. Uh, let's play the sounder. Dan,
- 25:55Speaker 1: you kick it over to mikey A. See if mikey
- 25:57Speaker 1: A nails at this time.
- 26:01Speaker 5: Breaking news from Fox Sports.
- 26:04Speaker 4: I'm Dan Bayer in our Los Angeles headquarters. Let's head
- 26:06Speaker 4: over to Chicago, mikey A standing by for some news
- 26:09Speaker 4: in the NFC North.
- 26:11Speaker 6: Guys, the Bears are signing quarterback who case Keen?
- 26:18Speaker 1: No way wown re signing.
- 26:24Speaker 3: First second there. I thought he was gonna say Cade
- 26:26Speaker 3: McNown All of a sudden, he's back when you said
- 26:31Speaker 3: we were Toba, go for it, Mikey Patient.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Good job there, guys, He's just he's greeting everyone today.
- 26:42Speaker 3: That's what happens when you're in Chicago doing you know,
- 26:45Speaker 3: on remote, you're not on the same page as.
- 26:47Speaker 5: The breaking news from Fox Sports.
- 26:52Speaker 4: I'm gonna throw it to Taylor Hippolis, who has got
- 26:54Speaker 4: the latest on a seahawk, finding new well a new
- 26:59Speaker 4: uniform tailor. Take it away and it's the Bengals. The
- 27:02Speaker 4: Bengals have acquired Edge. Boy, Mauffy, don't know how to.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Say, Mafe good enough? Lead in confidence right by the way,
- 27:13Speaker 1: there's a handoff there. Jesus Christ, we are terrible of this.
- 27:16Speaker 1: You have to say thank you, Dan, then you have
- 27:18Speaker 1: to throw it back to Dan, and then Dan has
- 27:20Speaker 1: to throw it back to me. You guys want to
- 27:21Speaker 1: try it all over again. Yeah, let's try it.
- 27:23Speaker 3: Okay and his edge, his position or his first name?
- 27:26Speaker 1: Yes, I have yes.
- 27:31Speaker 5: Breaking news from Fox Sports.
- 27:33Speaker 4: Dan Buyer here in our Los Angeles headquarters. Let's throw
- 27:36Speaker 4: it across the country to the great city of Cincinnati.
- 27:38Speaker 4: Taylor Phippolis with the latest on the Bengals Taylor, what's
- 27:41Speaker 4: going on?
- 27:42Speaker 7: Thank you Dan. I just enjoyed some skyline chili here
- 27:45Speaker 7: in Cincinnati where the Bengals have just come to an
- 27:48Speaker 7: agreement with Seahawks. Edge boy Muffy still can't remember what
- 27:52Speaker 7: that name was.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Yes to Danapolis.
- 27:56Speaker 7: Back to you, Dan, thank you very much.
- 27:58Speaker 4: Let's go to the Pets Smart and Pembroke Pine where
- 28:00Speaker 4: Israel Gudieiras is there with the latest?
- 28:02Speaker 7: Is he?
- 28:02Speaker 1: What do you got?
- 28:03Speaker 3: I believe you said Pet Smart? It is Pet b Damit.
- 28:07Speaker 3: I messed it up.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Back to you Dan, Thank you very much, it said.
- 28:11Speaker 4: Back to Mikey A, Mikey, has anything changed on the
- 28:14Speaker 4: case Keenum deal with the Bears over the last forty
- 28:16Speaker 4: two seconds since we last spoke with you.
- 28:19Speaker 10: I'm sorry, I can barely hear you over the sound
- 28:22Speaker 10: of all of these moves being made. But I have
- 28:25Speaker 10: gone to Dallas where we have new a new agreement
- 28:29Speaker 10: on free agent safety Jalen Thompson, former formerly of the
- 28:34Speaker 10: Arizona Cardinals.
- 28:35Speaker 6: Too wordy now with the Cowboys.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Yes, Back to you Dan, thank you very much. Mike Ya.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Back to you Stu. Wait whether details there or no?
- 28:44Speaker 1: It's developing.
- 28:46Speaker 3: Back to you, dude.
- 28:48Speaker 7: I think Dan gave me the hardest name on purpose. Good.
- 28:54Speaker 1: It was eight letters in all. Yes, yes, Dan, how
- 28:57Speaker 1: do you say that name? Boya mafe? Yes? Did you
- 29:00Speaker 1: throw into Taylor because that was a tricky name.
- 29:04Speaker 4: It was actually the latest breaking news that we had
- 29:06Speaker 4: up on the screen. Okay, he just he just got
- 29:10Speaker 4: a bad draw.
- 29:11Speaker 1: It happens now.
- 29:13Speaker 3: Who wants to talk picked her? When Mina?
- 29:15Speaker 1: What's Mikey's excuse?
- 29:19Speaker 6: I'm bad at this.
- 29:21Speaker 3: Do you know that the Cincinnati Airport is in Kentucky?
- 29:24Speaker 3: I did know that.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Yes, weird it is Louisville, right, isn't it.
- 29:29Speaker 3: I don't know some city of Kentucky coming to Nebraska.
- 29:33Speaker 6: Airport is in Iowa.
- 29:36Speaker 3: Nobody's ever flown in Iowa.
- 29:38Speaker 1: Sam, we're doing here, thank you. Everyone has rattled because
- 29:50Speaker 1: they're realizing just how hard Dan Bayer's job is.
- 29:54Speaker 7: I don't want the ball anymore.
- 29:57Speaker 6: With the latest signing, I can't wait.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Dan better toss a to you, to Taylor, not to me,
- 30:02Speaker 1: because I have no idea what it is. So because
- 30:04Speaker 1: I'm looking at you, guys, I can't see that. I
- 30:07Speaker 1: could barely see my computer screen.
- 30:09Speaker 6: I was trying to show Taylor not you trust me?
- 30:11Speaker 1: You're Dan. Are you aware of the latest signing here
- 30:14Speaker 1: in the NFL Free Agency? Are you? Are you aware
- 30:16Speaker 1: of it? I am.
- 30:20Speaker 5: Breaking news from Fox.
- 30:22Speaker 4: Let's add to our nation's capital, Taylor, Hippolis with the
- 30:25Speaker 4: laders on the command the latest with the commanders and
- 30:28Speaker 4: they're wheeling and dealing.
- 30:29Speaker 1: Taylor, what's the latest?
- 30:31Speaker 7: Thank you, Dan. It looks like the commanders just reached
- 30:34Speaker 7: an agreement, a four year, one hundred million dollar deal
- 30:37Speaker 7: for Chargers defensive end. Oh Daffey, oh ooh, the big
- 30:49Speaker 7: the big O I've.
- 30:52Speaker 3: Been waiting to big has gone a day.
- 30:58Speaker 4: It's just one oh on the last name of the
- 31:00Speaker 4: four letters, A daffay ohway, leaving the Chargers to go
- 31:02Speaker 4: to the commanders.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Wait, it's that easy, a daffy Oway.
- 31:05Speaker 4: Yes, four years, hundred million dollars, sixty eight million dollars
- 31:08Speaker 4: guaranteed according to the NFL networks.
- 31:10Speaker 1: Do back to you, Dan.
- 31:12Speaker 6: His name is in seven o's in different capital letter.
- 31:15Speaker 6: That's how Taylor's.
- 31:16Speaker 3: Are also Taylor. You don't actually have to hold your
- 31:20Speaker 3: finger to your ear when you're announcing these things.
- 31:22Speaker 1: They do, though, you do, you do. You have to
- 31:24Speaker 1: get reporter mode. Yes, reporters do yes, yes, right Dan.
- 31:27Speaker 4: Dan, Absolutely, he's got two people, He's got another guy
- 31:30Speaker 4: talking in his ear.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Listen, people, this is how you cover NFL free agency.
- 31:36Speaker 1: This is how you do it. This is how you
- 31:38Speaker 1: cover tampering Day in the NFL. Forty eight hours of
- 31:42Speaker 1: legal tampering.
- 31:46Speaker 3: It's like today you can go.
- 31:51Speaker 1: You got one hundred million.
- 31:52Speaker 3: Ooh for these next couple of days, you can go
- 31:55Speaker 3: into any drugstore and just messed with the protective covering
- 31:57Speaker 3: of any sort of pills.
- 31:59Speaker 7: Legal tampering, Mike, you get Jalen Thompson.
- 32:02Speaker 1: It's an easy one. Yeah, but his report was terrible.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Easy name, terrible report. So is he You're saying that
- 32:12Speaker 1: people can walk around today they could tamper and they
- 32:14Speaker 1: have an excuse because they hurt on the radio that
- 32:16Speaker 1: it's legal tamper today.
- 32:18Speaker 3: If you try to go buy like a bottle of
- 32:20Speaker 3: a leave and that little thing on the outside is
- 32:22Speaker 3: all broken, you just got to just shrug and say, oh, man,
- 32:24Speaker 3: legal tampering day, what are you gonna do? Yeah?
- 32:27Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company
- 32:30Speaker 2: Live Weekday, said three pm Eastern twelve pm Pacific.
- 32:41Speaker 5: From Fox from.
- 32:43Speaker 1: Giving MEGAMIXX time three signings.
- 32:46Speaker 4: Charlie Kohler leaves the Ravens on a three year deal
- 32:48Speaker 4: to the Chargers guys three years, twenty four million dollars.
- 32:52Speaker 4: The Cults are signing edge rusher arden Key to a
- 32:54Speaker 4: two year deal. The Bengals have signed safety Brian Cook
- 32:58Speaker 4: to a three year contract. He leaves Kansas City and
- 33:01Speaker 4: why not one more for good measure? Iowa, Sam, Let's
- 33:04Speaker 4: just drop it on him. Yes, let's do it.
- 33:07Speaker 5: Breaking news from Fox Sports.
- 33:10Speaker 4: JK Dobbins staying with the Broncos Seahawks. Are we signing
- 33:13Speaker 4: Josh Job to a three year, twenty four million dollar deal?
- 33:16Speaker 1: Mm hmm, is he's right?
- 33:21Speaker 3: Quick? Who plays for whom?
- 33:23Speaker 5: Just injected into my veins?
- 33:25Speaker 6: Just keep it coming, guys.
- 33:27Speaker 1: I know Dan's so good at it too, Like he
- 33:29Speaker 1: is such a professional man. I was going to talk
- 33:33Speaker 1: about Webbin Yama, but uh, we have Joe who's in Indiana.
- 33:36Speaker 5: While's talk about the Colts.
- 33:38Speaker 3: Say, you know, when you inject something into your vein,
- 33:40Speaker 3: you're mimicking drug use and it's probably not healthy. I
- 33:44Speaker 3: don't think this is healthy.
- 33:45Speaker 6: The NFL is a drug.
- 33:47Speaker 3: It is maybe you want to take it over the counter.
- 33:49Speaker 1: But we're Jet fans, and I'm wondering why we're so
- 33:52Speaker 1: addicted to this drug. I was trying to tell, is
- 33:54Speaker 1: he that the NFL, Well, it's the league of hope.
- 33:57Speaker 1: I mean, you had too sixty Listen, the team who
- 34:00Speaker 1: played in the Super Bowl, we're both sixty to one
- 34:02Speaker 1: shots to make it to the Super Bowl. Just you know,
- 34:06Speaker 1: a couple a month and a half ago with the
- 34:08Speaker 1: Seahawks and the Broncos. The Broncos were a team that
- 34:11Speaker 1: had to eat Russell Wilson's contract, had still made it
- 34:15Speaker 1: to the playoffs two consecutive years, and so there is hope.
- 34:20Speaker 1: But there is hope for every team, with the exception
- 34:23Speaker 1: of the New York Jets. But that's why the NFL
- 34:25Speaker 1: is so great because every season, Isy, and I'm sorry
- 34:28Speaker 1: it was the Patriots in the Super Bowl, but every
- 34:31Speaker 1: season you say to yourself, even as a jetfin, even
- 34:34Speaker 1: as a dolphin fin. Okay, you do though, you say
- 34:38Speaker 1: to yourself, Hey, if a few things break my way,
- 34:42Speaker 1: maybe this is the year my team finally makes it
- 34:45Speaker 1: to the Super Bowl.
- 34:46Speaker 3: Right, I would say ninety ninety five per cent of
- 34:49Speaker 3: the teams can say that for me, my only hope
- 34:52Speaker 3: is based on some sort of a conspiracy theory on
- 34:55Speaker 3: a Super Bowl poster because the colors might be Miami
- 35:00Speaker 3: Dolphins colors. Is the only reason why they would have
- 35:02Speaker 3: any hope for next year. But even in the under
- 35:05Speaker 3: that scenario, like even if you are a team that
- 35:07Speaker 3: feels like you are the right player or two away
- 35:11Speaker 3: from a Super Bowl, like, do you really know if
- 35:14Speaker 3: the player you're signing is the right player? One of
- 35:16Speaker 3: twenty two starters is super exciting. Look, I understand, I
- 35:20Speaker 3: understand how why it's a big deal. I'm how I
- 35:22Speaker 3: told you before. Players changing uniforms huge deal. But it's
- 35:26Speaker 3: just a lot to keep track of when you've got
- 35:28Speaker 3: so many players, right.
- 35:30Speaker 1: But these are missing pieces, right, like what today is?
- 35:33Speaker 1: What tomorrow is Wednesday when they can confirm all this stuff.
- 35:35Speaker 1: It's just hope, right, You're right, you have no idea
- 35:39Speaker 1: whether or not these signings make an actual difference in
- 35:41Speaker 1: terms of winning and losing. But it's just hope. And again,
- 35:44Speaker 1: as a fan, you say to yourself, oh, we didn't
- 35:47Speaker 1: make the playoffs last year, but we have this quarterback,
- 35:50Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson, and now we have Max Crosby and maybe
- 35:53Speaker 1: this is the year. Maybe it's not, but maybe this
- 35:55Speaker 1: is the year. And I think the Colts are thinking,
- 35:58Speaker 1: maybe this is the year. Certainly last year they were
- 36:00Speaker 1: thinking that for the first half of the season. I
- 36:03Speaker 1: just can't believe that anyone in Indianapolis would think this
- 36:06Speaker 1: is the year when it's Daniel Jones throwing.
- 36:08Speaker 3: To Alec Peters last year.
- 36:10Speaker 5: But they do.
- 36:10Speaker 3: Last year he had Pittman and Pierce. Yes, year, we
- 36:13Speaker 3: just have Piers.
- 36:14Speaker 1: We're better. Jones off an injury. Yeah, it's a better
- 36:19Speaker 1: Let's go to Joe and Indiana. Joe, go ahead, you're
- 36:21Speaker 1: on Fox Sports Radio.
- 36:24Speaker 11: Sam excited for PTT, my first time caller, got he
- 36:28Speaker 11: got that extension over there. But I don't think Pierce
- 36:30Speaker 11: and Daniel Jones are going to be our solution. Like
- 36:33Speaker 11: you guys are saying, they need to do a lot
- 36:35Speaker 11: more to impress me, to be honest with you, Yeah.
- 36:37Speaker 1: Yeah, if we just had a different quarterback and a
- 36:39Speaker 1: different wide receiver.
- 36:41Speaker 3: I mean it sounds like you're Puppy there is not
- 36:42Speaker 3: very impressed either.
- 36:44Speaker 1: He sounds like this pet Smart, What is going on
- 36:49Speaker 1: with pet Smart? I have a list of topics today
- 36:52Speaker 1: on tampering day and one of them from Izzy is
- 36:55Speaker 1: pet Smart or pet smarts.
- 37:00Speaker 3: It is the most talked about conversation on the internet
- 37:04Speaker 3: right now, is it? I just saw I saw a
- 37:06Speaker 3: gentlemen checking people out at pets Smart and wanted to
- 37:10Speaker 3: welcome them and called in his manager and said, I'm sorry.
- 37:13Speaker 3: Am I saying thank you for shopping at pet Smart?
- 37:16Speaker 3: Or am I saying thank you for shopping at PetSmart?
- 37:19Speaker 3: And frankly, if you think about it, pets Mart is
- 37:24Speaker 3: so much more reasonable name right here, it's the mart
- 37:28Speaker 3: for the pets, right the supermarket for pets.
- 37:30Speaker 6: There you go.
- 37:31Speaker 3: But apparently the answer was pet Smart, which I guess
- 37:36Speaker 3: is going by the way, the colors on the ad
- 37:39Speaker 3: are colored so pet and smart. But how does that
- 37:42Speaker 3: make sense? Are you going to a place to smarten
- 37:45Speaker 3: your pet? Are you just going to a place that's
- 37:47Speaker 3: smart for your singular pet? I'm not sure. I think
- 37:50Speaker 3: PetSmart is way better.
- 37:53Speaker 6: First, you said this was the most talked about thing
- 37:55Speaker 6: on the internet. Let me just say we have very
- 37:57Speaker 6: different algorithms. And secondly, pets smart is where the smart
- 38:02Speaker 6: pets shop.
- 38:04Speaker 3: But the see this is my problem. More people are
- 38:08Speaker 3: it's the people that are shopping, so it just doesn't
- 38:11Speaker 3: make much sense.
- 38:12Speaker 1: Yes, Taylor, go ahead, No, I was just gonna let
- 38:15Speaker 1: you guys continue. Why you're annoyed that we're doing this
- 38:18Speaker 1: during NFL free agency? I could talk about you and
- 38:21Speaker 1: your girlfriend if you'd like me to know there.
- 38:23Speaker 7: So I wanted to get back to the Ravens and
- 38:26Speaker 7: the Raiders trade for Max Crosby.
- 38:28Speaker 3: Well done, Yes, classic pet supermarket guy over here.
- 38:33Speaker 7: I think the Raiders are going to be better than
- 38:34Speaker 7: the Ravens next year.
- 38:36Speaker 1: Really wow, that is a bull take. Put it on
- 38:38Speaker 1: the pole, tailor your own question. O the Raiders going
- 38:41Speaker 1: to be better than the Ravens next year? Next year?
- 38:45Speaker 7: It's part I want to hear the Raiders out what
- 38:47Speaker 7: they do this offseason with the most caps. So they
- 38:49Speaker 7: signed Tyler Linderbaum. We've already mentioned that they reset the
- 38:53Speaker 7: center market. You pair him with Mendoza and.
- 38:57Speaker 1: Now stop from Fox or hit It, you stop, guys.
- 39:04Speaker 4: Alante Taylor signing with the Titans, the former Saints cornerback
- 39:07Speaker 4: three years, sixty million dollars.
- 39:09Speaker 1: Wow, Titans spending money? Huh. I was even caught off
- 39:13Speaker 1: guard with that one. I have no idea what just happened,
- 39:16Speaker 1: and that's all I had for you. Titans, spend the money, huh.
- 39:19Speaker 1: I don't know if it's good money. I don't know
- 39:20Speaker 1: if it's smart money. I don't know if it's pet smart.
- 39:23Speaker 3: So apparently they rebranded in two thousand and five to
- 39:25Speaker 3: emphasize the approach that it is pet smart, which would again,
- 39:29Speaker 3: I thought you were talking about the Titans pet Yeah,
- 39:32Speaker 3: not at all.
- 39:34Speaker 1: You were saying, Taylor, you have the fourteenth pick.
- 39:37Speaker 7: If you could give Fernando Mendoza either another weapon on
- 39:40Speaker 7: that offensive line or another weapon at receiver, then you
- 39:44Speaker 7: have brock Bowers at tight end, ash and Genty at
- 39:46Speaker 7: running back. I'm willing to hear the Raiders out. I
- 39:49Speaker 7: think there's moves to be made for them. And you
- 39:51Speaker 7: saw what the Patriots you saw with teams going from
- 39:54Speaker 7: from worse first, like the Bears, they're going to benefit
- 39:57Speaker 7: from an easy schedule. I think the path is there
- 40:00Speaker 7: for the Raiders.
- 40:01Speaker 3: If you are going to pet smart. However, you got
- 40:04Speaker 3: to understand where on that dog they can't get to themselves, right,
- 40:08Speaker 3: So if you scratch them on the parts that the
- 40:10Speaker 3: dogs can't scratch themselves, Man, that's a smart pet right.
- 40:13Speaker 1: The massive expectations here for Jesse Minter, the new Ravens
- 40:17Speaker 1: head coach Taylor Like, I think I'm with Taylor on this.
- 40:20Speaker 1: I think the Raiders. You know what, it's a great take,
- 40:23Speaker 1: and I'm jealous and I wish I had it first
- 40:25Speaker 1: because it's one of those takes that you give and
- 40:27Speaker 1: if you're right, we'll celebrate you. And if you're wrong,
- 40:29Speaker 1: no one's gonna remember that you said something so stupid.
- 40:32Speaker 1: I mean, I've made a career of doing this. I mean,
- 40:36Speaker 1: I too think the Raiders. I think the Giants are
- 40:38Speaker 1: gonna be better than the Ravens. How about that? How
- 40:41Speaker 1: about that? I took it one step further?
- 40:44Speaker 7: Should we power rank teas are going full hornets?
- 40:46Speaker 1: I think John Harbaugh is closer to a super Bowl
- 40:49Speaker 1: now than he was last year with the Baltimore Ravens.
- 40:52Speaker 3: I think Pet Smart should have done an entire campaign
- 40:55Speaker 3: about smart pets like you, Maybe little goldfish with like
- 40:58Speaker 3: glasses on right, Maybe a little amster's reading.
- 41:01Speaker 5: Books or stuff like that.
- 41:02Speaker 3: That way we all know, rather than have to go
- 41:04Speaker 3: through this entire controversy online.
- 41:07Speaker 7: And it also looks like Utah's offensive tackle Spencer Fano
- 41:11Speaker 7: is dropping down on the boards. So if he's available
- 41:14Speaker 7: at fourteen, it could really bolster that offensive line for Vegas.
- 41:16Speaker 1: Yeah, you get what I'm saying about the Giants though,
- 41:18Speaker 1: right Jackson dark good young quarterback, Isaiah Likely, you know,
- 41:22Speaker 1: a very good tight end, familiar with John Harbaugh, familiar
- 41:25Speaker 1: with the system and how he does things. You have
- 41:27Speaker 1: Malik Neighbors coming off. You know at injury. The Giants
- 41:30Speaker 1: have drafted pretty well over the last couple of years.
- 41:33Speaker 1: I am telling you right now, mark it down. Mark
- 41:35Speaker 1: the Tape Giants better season next year than the Baltimore Ravens.
- 41:40Speaker 3: In fact, when you get your dog groomed at PetSmart,
- 41:43Speaker 3: they need to go just all in and just give
- 41:45Speaker 3: you little pairs of sunglasses to throw on your dog
- 41:48Speaker 3: when he leaves. And now, when I used to get
- 41:49Speaker 3: my pets done over there are groomed over there. They
- 41:51Speaker 3: used to come back with little things around their neck.
- 41:53Speaker 3: But if you put little sunglasses, maybe a little pocket protector,
- 41:56Speaker 3: those look like some smart pets.
- 41:57Speaker 7: Yeah, I'd be worried about drafting Jordan Tyson Arizona State
- 42:01Speaker 7: just because of his injury concerns. If I'm pairing somebody
- 42:03Speaker 7: with Fernando Mendoza. I'd like to I'd like to put
- 42:06Speaker 7: a more proven product next to him.
- 42:07Speaker 1: Yeah, the Raiders going for it right now.
- 42:10Speaker 6: Yeah, they also signed Jalen Naylor.
- 42:12Speaker 1: They did the Raiders.
- 42:15Speaker 6: The Raiders.
- 42:17Speaker 1: Number one.
- 42:18Speaker 3: If I'm a cat, this is an opportunity to show
- 42:20Speaker 3: exactly how much smarter we are than dogs, if you
- 42:23Speaker 3: actually can put dogs and cats to the test. Not
- 42:25Speaker 3: that I'm a big cat person. They seem like they're
- 42:27Speaker 3: little bit more.
- 42:28Speaker 1: But if you're John Horba, this is an opportunity for
- 42:30Speaker 1: you to prove that you are smarter than the entire
- 42:34Speaker 1: Baltimore Ravens organization. Cat, this is a chance. I mean,
- 42:37Speaker 1: he has a real opportunity here.
- 42:39Speaker 4: And cam scouting, I love what the panther is. Scataboo
- 42:43Speaker 4: was hurt as well. Ah, yes, we forgot about Scataboo.
- 42:47Speaker 4: And we also step right over Mikey's line. Sorry Mikey,
- 42:52Speaker 4: that's okay, I killed his breaking news earlier as well.
- 42:55Speaker 1: Sorry.
- 42:56Speaker 5: Scataboo a real dog, Mike.
- 43:00Speaker 7: There isn't a world where Jalen Naylor say a number
- 43:02Speaker 7: one receiver.
- 43:03Speaker 1: Yes there is, Las vegasy Is and then in Indianapolis.
- 43:10Speaker 7: Well said you know what now that I think about.
- 43:11Speaker 1: That's a tough one.
- 43:13Speaker 3: When your main competition is pets supermarket, you want to
- 43:17Speaker 3: be more than just a mart for pets. You then
- 43:20Speaker 3: want to be the place where the smart pets go.
- 43:23Speaker 3: I get it now, I'm on board pet smart.
- 43:25Speaker 1: And when you listen, when you're the Giants head coach,
- 43:27Speaker 1: what you want to do is win super Bowls because
- 43:30Speaker 1: they have a long storied history of winning super Bowls. Parcels,
- 43:34Speaker 1: Tom Coughlin, I mean, that's what they do. That's what
- 43:37Speaker 1: that organization does. And now John Harbaugh left the quarterback
- 43:40Speaker 1: who couldn't get him to the big game for a
- 43:43Speaker 1: quarterback that treats every game like it's the big game.
- 43:46Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying.
- 43:48Speaker 3: I think fish are all dumb. Though I should probably
- 43:55Speaker 3: read something.
- 43:55Speaker 2: Now, I have no idea eight nine possible win breaking
- 43:59Speaker 2: news from Fox Sports.
- 44:01Speaker 4: Marcus Mariota, back with the Washington Commander, says the backup
- 44:04Speaker 4: to Jaden Daniels one year deal. According to the NFL Network,
- 44:08Speaker 4: it's worth seven million dollars. Incentives could push it to
- 44:11Speaker 4: eleven million. Wow.
- 44:13Speaker 3: If you wait long enough through these things, they'll a'll
- 44:15Speaker 3: just come back to their old team.
- 44:16Speaker 1: Yes, I'm not certain Max Crosby is the best pass
- 44:18Speaker 1: rusher on his own team. Hmmm, He's like third best
- 44:22Speaker 1: in that division. Poor Joe Burrow.
