- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by The Hypnotherapist, demanded by
- 0:16celebrities CE OS and even royalty Adam Cox, these
- 0:21recordings took place live from Evans Clinic in London's world
- 0:24famous Harley Street. So get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:40Hi, it's Adam here. And on this episode of The
- 0:44Hypnotist, you're going to be listening to a hypnosis session
- 0:48that actually takes the word Brazil and turns it into an
- 0:54acronym. An acronym is just a mnemonic
- 0:57that uses the letters of a word to represent different things,
- 1:05so it becomes easier to remember based on chunking down.
- 1:09So for example, the acronym that I'm going to be using for this
- 1:14hypnosis session is the word Brazil.
- 1:17And the B will stand for balance, the R for resilience,
- 1:23the A for acceptance, the Z or the Z, if you're in the USA, for
- 1:31zeal, which just means an intense enthusiasm, a
- 1:34determination linked to that enthusiasm.
- 1:37So zeal is a great word. And then I invigoration and then
- 1:42L love, in particular self love. I think many people find it
- 1:47easier to actually express love for other people than they do
- 1:52for themselves. But I love the saying that you
- 1:55can't pour from an empty cup. So therefore self love is
- 1:59absolutely important because if you love yourself completely,
- 2:03then you have more to kind of share with other people, other
- 2:06things, other situations. So in this hypnosis session, I'm
- 2:11going to use that acronym as a loose structure for this
- 2:15unscripted hypnosis session to take you on a bit of a journey.
- 2:19Now, where I am right now is a very white sandy beach.
- 2:24You've got this kind of rock formation behind me, and then
- 2:27you've got the sea. I'm looking at a swimming pool
- 2:32that's actually kind of dripping down onto the beach in front of
- 2:36me. So I might occasionally pick up
- 2:38bits of inspiration, For example, several palm trees in
- 2:42front of me, blue skies, lots of sunshine.
- 2:46So that might find its way into this hypnosis session.
- 2:51And again, this is part of my ethos of getting out of the
- 2:54recording studio into nature, into real life and finding
- 2:58inspiration from the environment, the situation of
- 3:03the people that I find myself in.
- 3:05So in order to get the most from this particular session, find a
- 3:10quiet, comfortable place where you won't be disturbed, relax
- 3:14and enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 3:31you breathe in, breathe in that resourceful feeling of calm and
- 3:35relaxation. And as you exhale, just allow
- 3:41any feeling of stress, worry, or tension feel like it's leaving
- 3:46your body in your outward breath.
- 3:49So much so that with each breath, perhaps you notice
- 3:54yourself drifting deeper and deeper, relaxed.
- 4:01So relax that your body starts to feel limp and loose.
- 4:07Tension perhaps is being released around the jaw, around
- 4:11the neck and the shoulders. And maybe your arms just feel
- 4:16more limp and loose and relaxed. But notice that when you breathe
- 4:21in, you're breathing in deeper than before.
- 4:24And as you exhale, if your eyes aren't already closed and it's
- 4:29safe to do so, then just allow your eyes to close now.
- 4:35That's it. And notice that you can now give
- 4:40more of your attention to the sound of my voice and allow the
- 4:48sound of My voice to take you on a journey within your
- 4:53imagination, enabling you to go deeper and deeper.
- 5:01Relaxed. The deeper you breathe, the more
- 5:06relaxed you become. And the more relaxed you become,
- 5:09the deeper you breathe. And as your body relaxes, your
- 5:14imagination awakens. And I wonder if you could
- 5:19imagine being on a beach in Brazil, the kind of beach with
- 5:27white talcum powder sand, the sound of waves crashing in the
- 5:32background, blue skies and sunshine.
- 5:36And maybe you can imagine feeling the warmth of that
- 5:41sunshine on your skin. And maybe you can see palm
- 5:46trees, perhaps with coconuts, brightly coloured green.
- 5:54And I wonder how that would feel, to really imagine being on
- 5:58that paradise beach in a place in nature kind of place where
- 6:07almost no one seems to be around.
- 6:10This isn't a busy touristy beach.
- 6:15This is a beach, we're just the occasional local will walk
- 6:21around and explore, walk a dog or just find that deep
- 6:29meditation by the sea. So allow yourself to feel more
- 6:36and more comfortably relaxed as you connect with this place.
- 6:43A place of calm relaxation. It's the kind of place that
- 6:47takes you deeper and deeper, relaxed.
- 6:55And I want you to recall a time where you wrote a word in the
- 6:59sand, perhaps with your fingers, your feet, or maybe a stick that
- 7:06you found. But just find clear white sand.
- 7:15Not there dry sand, but the sand that's slightly wet.
- 7:18That makes it easy to write a word in that sand.
- 7:26And I want you to imagine writing the word in big letters,
- 7:33going vertically down the word Brazil.
- 7:37Start at the top, and instead of writing horizontally, you're
- 7:41writing vertically. The B is above the R, which is
- 7:45above the A, which is above the Z, above the I and then the L
- 7:54And I want you to imagine looking at that word Brazil and
- 7:59just deciding that it means more than the name of the country.
- 8:06I want you to look at the word B, and from that B.
- 8:12Now horizontally, just imagine drawing out the word balance.
- 8:20Don't worry about the other letters yet.
- 8:23Just look at the word balance coming off the word Brazil.
- 8:29And I want you to search for your centre of gravity.
- 8:36And if you're standing, your centre of gravity will be there
- 8:40in the torso, but it might be that you're sat or lying down,
- 8:47and it might feel that your centre of gravity is somewhere
- 8:50else higher up in the chest or lower down in the abdomen.
- 8:59And I want you to imagine, as you think of your centre of
- 9:03gravity, I want you to think of a children's seesaw.
- 9:10You know the one that thing where it has a pivot in the
- 9:14middle and can balance from up or down.
- 9:19And I want you to imagine that that seesaw represents the
- 9:23current balance that you have in your life.
- 9:29And maybe one side represents obligations or responsibilities,
- 9:38things like work or business, finances, personal
- 9:43responsibilities. And on the other side, consider
- 9:49this joy, pleasure and fun. And I want you to get a sense
- 9:58that currently is your seesaw. Or perhaps you could imagine old
- 10:07fashioned weighing scales, you know the ones made of brass
- 10:11where they have balances on either side of the scales.
- 10:18I want you to get a sense and allow your intuition to tell
- 10:21you. Is your balance shifted too far
- 10:25in One Direction? Is your life all about work,
- 10:33accomplishment, doing, and earning?
- 10:39And if so, that balance or seesaw would be all the way down
- 10:45heavy on that side. Or perhaps you could imagine the
- 10:53opposite, if you know intuitively that you don't have
- 10:58enough of those demands. If your life is all play,
- 11:04relaxation and fun, but not enough challenge or
- 11:09responsibility, you might see the seesaw, the balance heavy on
- 11:15the other side. And you don't have to change
- 11:20anything in your life if you don't desire it.
- 11:26But let's just imagine what it would be like for that balance,
- 11:34that seesaw to be perfectly level.
- 11:40I wonder what that would feel like and be like for you.
- 11:49Maybe you imagine setting boundaries that when you finish
- 11:56work, you no longer check an e-mail, you no longer carry on
- 12:00doing more, and instead you block out time to do things that
- 12:07make you feel good, make you smile, make you laugh, make you
- 12:10feel connected with the people that you love.
- 12:14Or maybe if it feels that there's too much of just living
- 12:20life, I want you to get a sense of what your life would be like
- 12:28for you to take on a project, set a goal that requires you to
- 12:35do something meaningful. I want you to get a sense of
- 12:40just experience what it would be like if your life had more
- 12:44balance between work and joy. And perhaps you could imagine
- 12:51drifting into that future version of you where the balance
- 12:56is just right. Just like Goldilocks, she wasn't
- 13:03happy with the chair that was too small, or a chair that was
- 13:06too big or hard. She was only satisfied when the
- 13:11chair was just right. And the same goes for the
- 13:16temperature of porridge or the comfort of a bed.
- 13:21I want you to get a sense of imagining what it would be like
- 13:25if your life was in perfect balance and allow a seed to be
- 13:35planted deep in your subconscious mind of that life
- 13:40of balance. And then go back to that word in
- 13:46the sand and under balance where you now see the word Brazil
- 13:55going down, coming off the letter R.
- 13:59Now write the word resilience. And as you write this word,
- 14:07you're reminded that the strongest and tallest trees have
- 14:13weathered the fiercest storms. And I wonder if you can get a
- 14:20sense of what it would be like to start reframing every moment
- 14:30of adversity, challenge, setbacks, not as things that
- 14:39have chiseled you down, worn you down, eroded your confidence.
- 14:46I want you to start thinking that every challenge that you
- 14:50have ever faced has made you more resilient in the same way
- 14:58that the body reacts to a stress.
- 15:02If you were to lift heavy weights, you would find calluses
- 15:07forming on your hands, not as a punishment, but as an
- 15:14adaptation, making your skin tougher and stronger for that
- 15:21next time that you lift those heavy weights.
- 15:27And I want you to think that every moment of challenge,
- 15:32adversity has given you emotional calluses, that your
- 15:40spirit is stronger and more resilient than ever before
- 15:48because of everything that you've been through.
- 15:54And you may equate this to your immune system.
- 15:58If a child is born in a vacuum, given sanitized food,
- 16:06pasteurized things to drink, never experiences A germ, A
- 16:15microbe, a virus, and suddenly at 18 years old, that child,
- 16:23when it becomes an adult that has been protected from all of
- 16:27those germs and viruses, is suddenly let out into the wide
- 16:34world, isn't it inevitable that that individual gets sick
- 16:43because their immune system has never had the chance to become
- 16:47more resilient? And I wonder what it would feel
- 16:51like if you imagine that every moment of adversity and
- 16:56challenge was like a virus that you successfully defended
- 17:02against. And even though it probably felt
- 17:06horrible at the time, isn't it true that you are now more
- 17:14resilient and stronger than ever before?
- 17:20And as you hold that thought, return back to that word in the
- 17:26sand where you can see balance coming off the B, resilience
- 17:33coming off the R. And now look at the letter A.
- 17:40And I wonder what would happen if you considered that this word
- 17:44represents acceptance. I want you to get a sense that
- 17:54thousands of years ago, the ancient Stoics like Seneca or
- 18:02Marcus Aurelius learned something profound that has
- 18:07echoed through time, that not everything is within your
- 18:14control. And for those things that are
- 18:17not within your control, the best course of action is
- 18:25acceptance. You are not your past.
- 18:30You are not even your problems. I want you to get a sense that
- 18:35those things that you can control, you will feel an urge
- 18:40to control them. That may be making yourself
- 18:45smarter, wiser, more knowledgeable, healthier,
- 18:48stronger. But there are some things that
- 18:52are outside of your control. You can't control certain things
- 19:01connected to your genetics. You are the genetic code that
- 19:09you were born with your early upbringing.
- 19:13You had no choice, and those things that happened throughout
- 19:18your childhood may have given you lessons, opportunities to be
- 19:27more resilient, but your past is outside of your control.
- 19:35You can control the meaning you give your past, but you can't
- 19:39change the past itself. And I want you to feel a growing
- 19:46sense of acceptance for all of those things outside of your
- 19:54control. Maybe there were things that
- 19:58happened that were random, unlucky, unfortunate.
- 20:04Or maybe it was the behaviour of someone else, someone with
- 20:09intentions that were not positive for you.
- 20:14But that was outside of your control.
- 20:18You may be wiser now. You may be able to see warning
- 20:23signs and red flags that were invisible in the past.
- 20:28But you didn't know that back then.
- 20:32So feel a growing sense of forgiveness and acceptance for
- 20:36everything in the past that has felt unfair.
- 20:42And also get a growing sense that in your future there will
- 20:49be many things that are unlucky, unfair, and you can accept that
- 20:56these things happen, but then move on to the more empowering
- 21:01question, what does this mean and what will I do about it?
- 21:10That is where acceptance moves to control.
- 21:14As you imagine a giant pendulum swinging from left to right,
- 21:21Acceptance on one side, control on the other.
- 21:25And just feel that you are unleashing whole new levels of
- 21:30acceptance. Because sometimes when you
- 21:34accept the past, it empowers you to move on from it.
- 21:40Maybe there's a current situation that needs to be
- 21:43accepted. And sometimes life being life,
- 21:51will throw things that are completely unfair, unjustified,
- 21:58perhaps random, or perhaps the consequences of previous
- 22:03decisions. But I want you to feel that you
- 22:07can accept that, and in accepting it, it enables you to
- 22:13move on with a whole new level of energy and then return back
- 22:22to that ever growing matrix of words.
- 22:28And under acceptance, where you have the R from Brazil, I want
- 22:36you to write the word. I want you to write the word
- 22:44invigoration and under the A of acceptance C, the letter Z and
- 23:02coming off that Z, continue with the word zeal.
- 23:11And I want you to get a sense that you are unleashing a new
- 23:18level of enthusiasm, determination, and a sense of
- 23:27urgency at all of those priorities within your life.
- 23:36I want you to think back to a time in your past where you had
- 23:39this feeling of abundant enthusiasm.
- 23:43Maybe you can remember a time where you had that zeal, that
- 23:48zest for life, that unstoppable determination fused with
- 23:55enthusiasm. Imagine stepping into that
- 24:00earlier version of you and like a phoenix from the flames,
- 24:05reactivating that feeling of zeal, enthusiasm.
- 24:13But I want you to think, now that you've reawakened this
- 24:17feeling, what is it that you will do with it?
- 24:24I want you to think of one thing, maybe something that you
- 24:28couldn't do before. But now, if you were to approach
- 24:32the same challenge, the same task, the same goal, with this
- 24:36new level of zeal, how would you go about it differently?
- 24:44Maybe observe yourself with more determination, more tenacity,
- 24:50more relentlessness, and with those qualities, see that what
- 24:56was difficult or tiresome before now feels like a hot knife
- 25:03through butter. And I wonder if you can get that
- 25:07sense of powerful, incredible zeal, set the intention to do
- 25:18whatever that thing was that came to your mind, not so much
- 25:23to do the thing, but to practice activating this feeling of
- 25:29ferocious enthusiasm. And then it's time to go back,
- 25:37back to that sand and under zeal where you can see the letter I,
- 25:45I want you to write the word invigoration.
- 25:50Just imagine writing that. Whatever looks right is fine.
- 25:54And I want you to feel that sometimes we all need something
- 26:01to invigorate. Life can be hard, unfair,
- 26:09tiring, mundane even. But I want you to imagine what
- 26:16it would be like to imagine a futuristic chamber there on that
- 26:21beach. And as you step into the
- 26:24chamber, I want you to see a sign on the chamber that says
- 26:30invigoration chamber. And as you step into the
- 26:35chamber, just imagine colorful gases filling the chamber and
- 26:42breathe in those colourful gases that are designed to invigorate
- 26:46you with energy levels, vitality levels, even more enthusiasm, A
- 26:53lust for life, a willingness to do whatever needs to be done.
- 27:00I want you to feel that this time in the Invigoration Chamber
- 27:04feels like you're multiplying every time you sleep by two or
- 27:10three. Six hours sleep will now feel
- 27:15like 12 or 18 hours of sleep. So if you have that sleep
- 27:19deficit, feel that from this point onwards, the invigoration
- 27:24Chamber is teaching your brain to extract more value from your
- 27:30sleep, enabling you to wake up each day with more vitality,
- 27:36energy, intensity. And maybe you can feel a
- 27:42tingling sensation in your body where the invigoration chamber
- 27:47is already doing its work. But as you breathe out, see dark
- 27:50shadows leaving your body. These represent any
- 27:55disempowering resources, Things like anger, frustration, boredom
- 28:01or apathy. Just see that leave your body as
- 28:04you continue to breathe in those invigorating states.
- 28:13And now it's time to leave the invigoration chamber.
- 28:17But as you leave the invigoration chamber, feel that
- 28:20you're leaving with an invigorated state, so much
- 28:24energy, clarity, vitality. And go back to that word Brazil
- 28:32that is written vertically. All of the letters have a word
- 28:38associated it apart from the letter L and I want you to write
- 28:47the word love coming off that letter L of Brazil.
- 28:55So you can now see all of the words complete B for balance, R
- 29:01for resilience, A for acceptance, Z for zeal, I for
- 29:08invigoration, and finally L for love.
- 29:15And I want you to think of the person in the world, dead or
- 29:19alive, that has loved you the most.
- 29:24The person that cared about you always looked at you as someone
- 29:30filled with potential. So all of your possibilities,
- 29:37and I want you to imagine seeing yourself through their eyes.
- 29:43You are not seeing yourself like a reflection in a mirror.
- 29:48I want you to imagine seeing yourself through the eyes of the
- 29:53person that loves you the most. And maybe that's someone now, or
- 30:01someone from your past, or someone from your childhood, but
- 30:06look at yourself at your current age through their eyes, Whether
- 30:10that's possible or not, imagine it happening.
- 30:15And I want you to see yourself as important, valuable.
- 30:21I want you to see yourself as someone that matters.
- 30:25I want you to see all of the potential in yourself, all of
- 30:30your best qualities in yourself. And the more you look at
- 30:36yourself, the more you have that feeling of love.
- 30:42You have that feeling of love and acceptance.
- 30:48You want the best for you because you have that love for
- 30:54you. So just breathe in and breathe
- 30:58out and step into that version of you which is filled now with
- 31:03unconditional love. See yourself in a mirror and
- 31:08know that it is still true even through your own eyes.
- 31:12You have that self love for yourself.
- 31:18And then go back to the beach and see all of these words.
- 31:23Connect the words with changes or new beliefs or new ways of
- 31:28thinking, as it's now time to leave this sandy beach within
- 31:35your imagination and just imagine that anything, anything
- 31:42that has been bothering you, just imagine it feeling like
- 31:48it's dropping off you like drips of water from your body
- 31:53downwards. That you no longer need to hold
- 31:56on to those negative connotations anymore.
- 32:01So would you feel like you're returning to your present self,
- 32:04realizing that all of this has just been a journey within your
- 32:09imagination? A journey where ideas are within
- 32:13ideas, thoughts are within thoughts, dreams are within
- 32:17dreams. It's now time to return back to
- 32:20the here and now, Returning with more balance, more resilience,
- 32:25more self acceptance, more zeal and enthusiasm.
- 32:30Feeling invigorated but also exploding with self love.
- 32:37So take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your
- 32:41nose. Just wiggle your fingers, wiggle
- 32:44your toes, connect and calibrate into the here and the now as I
- 32:48now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 32:53Starting to count 123 waking up 456 more alert. 7-8.
- 33:00Open your eyes, Open your eyes. 910.
- 33:03Wide awake, wide awake, wide awake.
- 33:14Thank you very much for listening, perhaps even watching
- 33:19this hypnosis session inspired by Brazil, but also the acronym
- 33:23of Brazil created specifically for this session.
- 33:28There was certain sounds happening in that session as I'm
- 33:32looking in front of me. There's this kind of big
- 33:34Infinity pool with like a Clearwater and I think maybe the
- 33:38wind was having some of those water droplets.
- 33:40So if you caught some of that in the session, just allow that to
- 33:43add to the experience. I would encourage you before we
- 33:46end this session, if you like the hypnosis that I do, if you
- 33:49click the description, there's actually lots of free things
- 33:52that I have to offer. There is 22 downloads completely
- 33:55free. You just click a link.
- 33:57There is a 7 day course that I've created that's completely
- 34:00free and there's also a suitability test.
- 34:03So if you've ever wondered if hypnosis would be suitable for
- 34:06you or you would be suitable for hypnosis, click that suitability
- 34:09test. And the final thing is that if
- 34:11you are curious about working with me directly, you can also
- 34:15book a free 30 minute consultation call over Zoom.
- 34:18Click that link and then we will have a chat over Zoom to see if
- 34:22I'm the right hypnotherapist to work with you.
- 34:24This is an unusual session in the sense that I don't have a
- 34:27client in front of me, it's just being inspired by certain
- 34:30resource states. But normally most of the
- 34:33sessions that I publish actually come from real client sessions.
- 34:36But I protect the confidentiality of the client.
- 34:39So if you've thought about working with me, click that link
- 34:41to book that session. If you do like my content, it's
- 34:46always good for the algorithm to find new people.
- 34:48If you click a like button, maybe give a five star review or
- 34:54a positive comment, all of those things are really good for the
- 34:56algorithm because it says like people like this stuff and then
- 34:59it puts it in front of new people that don't know where I
- 35:02exist. So if you could do that, that
- 35:03would be really appreciated. Thank you again for listening or
- 35:07watching this particular session and stay tuned for the next
- 35:12session that I published very, very soon.
- 35:14You take care. Thank you so much for joining me
- 35:19on today's episode of The Hypnotist and if you've.

- 35:31Sure that you're. Automatically notified.
- 35:34Of any future. Episodes that I.
- 35:37Release also by. Doing that, it lets the
- 35:40algorithm know that you like this show, and that will put it
- 35:44in front of even more people that might not know that this
