- 0:23SPEAKER_01: Hello, everybody, and welcome.

- 0:42SPEAKER_01: All right, fresh on the heels of the Bills, week three victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: An ugly victory at that.
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: The Bills cruised through their first two wins of the season, but it was not as simple against a Lowly Chargers team.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: Came into the game at 0-2 and really made it difficult on the Bills at times, but could not make the big plays needed to take this game from Buffalo.
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: They steal one from Los Angeles, improved a 3-0 by a score of 24-16.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: And they look ahead now to that week four matchup with the New England Patriots, who are coming off a disappointing defeat at the hands of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: I believe 35-6 the final score.
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: So the Bills looking to take a stranglehold on the AFC East the year after the Patriots unseated them atop the division.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: So a lot of good things going for the Bills here as they look ahead into that week four contest.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: But first, let's react to the Bills' week three win over the Chargers.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: And we'll start with the big news coming out of the game, and that is a potential injury sustained by Josh Allen near the end of the contest.
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: Was banged up on the knee.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: Chargers defender came in from the side and attacked that MCL area.
- 2:04SPEAKER_01: And fortunately for Allen, it appeared as if his foot was off the ground at the time.
- 2:09SPEAKER_01: So not really that anchoring of the leg that really leads to some significant tears and ACLs, MCLs, and this, that, and the other thing.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: So it appeared at the time with Allen walking off the field, finishing the game, and sporting a slight limp that was seen post-game.
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: But all in all, it seemed like Allen was okay after the game.
- 2:33SPEAKER_01: And then today, which is Monday, Joe Brady spoke with the media.
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: His post-game briefing, 24, well, a little bit less than 24 hours after the game concluded on Sunday, and said that he's never really concerned about Allen after game day, despite Allen really coming away from most games a little banged up, mentioned the bumps and bruises.
- 2:55SPEAKER_01: And as Brady has remained throughout the offseason training camp and the start of the regular season, he was tight-lipped on any injury updates stemming from Sunday's game.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: So not much to glean there from the Bills head coach regarding Josh Allen's injury, but it does not seem as if there is any potential concern about him missing some action coming up against the New England Patriots.
- 3:21SPEAKER_01: But there were injury evaluators on social media and otherwise pointing to that MCL area in the knee.
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: So something to watch for for Allen in terms of his injury status throughout the practice week, but I don't think we'll see him even be questionable going in to Sunday's game against the New England Patriots.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: A few other injuries that were worth monitoring entering Sunday's game.
- 3:47SPEAKER_01: You had at the wide receiver position DJ Moore dealing with that shoulder injury, more specifically that AC joint sprain.
- 3:53SPEAKER_01: And then you had Keon Coleman dealing with an ankle injury that forced him out of practice this past week.
- 4:00SPEAKER_01: But both played in this game and both came away pretty productive in this one, especially DJ Moore leading the Bills with six receptions, 67 yards.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: So an 11.2 average, made a number of big catches in this game, especially late in the game.
- 4:16SPEAKER_01: I think it was on a third down to help the Bills convert and keep the chains moving.
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: So Moore, once again, that security blanket for Josh Allen, as I've mentioned, since they acquired him.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: And he's really continued to impress me as the weeks go on.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: And then you look at Keon Coleman, a big 37-yard reception down near the goal line to help set up one of the Bills' scores.
- 4:36SPEAKER_01: So DJ Moore, Keon Coleman both get the start in this game.
- 4:41SPEAKER_01: Well, Moore starts.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: I'm not sure if Coleman was officially the starter, but both play in this game.
- 4:46SPEAKER_01: And I'd have to check the snap counts, but both appeared to come away relatively unscathed from those injuries.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: Didn't seem to get worse for either of them in this game.
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: Both went into the game questionable, along with defensive tackle Ed Oliver, who was dealing with a hip injury dating back to this past week's game, or last week's game, I should say, against the Detroit Lions.
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: And Oliver played in this game and came away with three quarterback hits that led the Bills.
- 5:17SPEAKER_01: Well, it tied with Greg Rousseau for the team lead.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: And we'll talk about Greg Rousseau's dominant performance against the Los Angeles Chargers a bit later.
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: But Oliver came away good in this game.
- 5:30SPEAKER_01: Moore and Coleman, obviously, the aforementioned.
- 5:32SPEAKER_01: And then Ty Johnson returned in this game from a hamstring injury and made quite the impact himself.
- 5:37SPEAKER_01: He was second on the Bills in receiving yards, four receptions, 50 yards, and came through with a critical fourth down conversion.
- 5:45SPEAKER_01: So Ty Johnson, who Josh Allen calls the best third down back in the league, certainly proved as much and proved his value during this win over the Chargers.
- 5:55SPEAKER_01: So it was nice to see him come back and be a member of the offense.
- 5:58SPEAKER_01: And a quick note from Joe Brady's media availability on Monday said that, and he said this unprompted, that the Bills need to get Ray Davis involved more in the offense.
- 6:08SPEAKER_01: And to be quite honest with you, I'm not really sure why that's necessary.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: The Bills' offense was rolling going into this game against the Chargers, and they turned the ball over five times.
- 6:19SPEAKER_01: I'd love to see the amount of points they put up if they didn't cough the ball up so many times.
- 6:23SPEAKER_01: And you had James Cook go for 150 plus yards rushing, who we'll talk a bit more in length on later.
- 6:30SPEAKER_01: But when you have things going with James Cook, two straight 100-yard games, the offense seems to be clicking, albeit some turnover and penalty issues.
- 6:39SPEAKER_01: Why insert Ray Davis into the mix?
- 6:41SPEAKER_01: I've never seen him as some sort of game-breaking player.
- 6:45SPEAKER_01: I understand if there's an injury or something, or uh if the offense is sputtering, maybe uh feature a new face in the backfield.
- 6:52SPEAKER_01: But with Ty Johnson back in the fold, James Cook cooking, I'm not so sure the Bills need a healthy dose of Ray Davis.
- 6:59SPEAKER_01: I think you can keep him in that depth role.
- 7:02SPEAKER_01: Now, the one disappointing thing with Davis is his role as a kick returner has been somewhat eliminated as uh teams are kicking to Greg Dorch, it seems, and he's taking the Lions share of the work, both as punt returner and kick returner.
- 7:16SPEAKER_01: But I don't need to see a lot of Ray Davis on offense.
- 7:19SPEAKER_01: Give me more James Cook.
- 7:20SPEAKER_01: Stay with Ty Johnson in the pass game.
- 7:22SPEAKER_01: I think that's just fine for this Bill's offense that really sputtered at times against the Los Angeles Chargers.
- 7:30SPEAKER_01: Josh Allen an extremely poor day in this game.
- 7:33SPEAKER_01: Three turnovers himself.
- 7:35SPEAKER_01: He went 16 of 26 passing, 204 yards, a couple of interceptions, and the fumbles as well, or the fumble as well, three turnovers for Josh Allen.
- 7:47SPEAKER_01: I'm not sure what I said.
- 7:48SPEAKER_01: Sometimes they get going too quick, but three turnovers for Allen, two picks, one fumble, the 204 yards passing, was kept out of the end zone through the air, got two more touchdowns on the ground.
- 7:58SPEAKER_01: That's three straight games to start the season that Josh Allen has found the end zone on the ground.
- 8:03SPEAKER_01: But like I said, those turnovers, a big, big concern for the Bills.
- 8:07SPEAKER_01: And Allen was also sacked four times after a good performance by the Bills offensive line in the first two weeks of the season.
- 8:14SPEAKER_01: They really took a step back in this game, were called for a number of penalties on the offensive line for holding six total Bills offensive penalties, ten overall on both sides of the ball for the Bills in this one.
- 8:26SPEAKER_01: So penalties were certainly an issue in this game.
- 8:30SPEAKER_01: And just overall, I thought some undisciplined play for the Bills and Joe Brady and Jim Leonard have talked a lot about smoke detectors going off for the Bills throughout their first two wins of the season.
- 8:43SPEAKER_01: Well, Brady said the house caught fire against the Los Angeles Chargers, and I think that rang true because at times during that game, it just seemed like the same old song and dance from this team.
- 8:53SPEAKER_01: It was going to be another trap game as they sleepwalk through the first half.
- 8:58SPEAKER_01: And Josh Allen had a really a piss poor performance, not even by his standard, by really any NFL quarterback standard.
- 9:05SPEAKER_01: I know he had the two short rushing touchdowns, but not much to speak of beyond that.
- 9:09SPEAKER_01: And didn't get hurt until late in the game.
- 9:11SPEAKER_01: So that's not an excuse either.
- 9:13SPEAKER_01: His first interception, targeting DJ Moore, a bad decision.
- 9:17SPEAKER_01: And then he goes deep down the field, I believe, into triple coverage on the next one.
- 9:21SPEAKER_01: And there's a lot of talk about this free play nonsense.
- 9:24SPEAKER_01: But I if you don't see the flag go up, don't make the throw.
- 9:28SPEAKER_01: It's pretty simple.
- 9:29SPEAKER_01: And Josh Allen has taken a few risks this year, and he's gotten away with them in the first two games, but did not get away with them against the Chargers.
- 9:37SPEAKER_01: And it almost came back to haunt the Bills.
- 9:40SPEAKER_01: A few more concerns for the Bills offensively.
- 9:42SPEAKER_01: The offensive line, Alec Anderson specifically.
- 9:45SPEAKER_01: I've touched on it before on this podcast.
- 9:47SPEAKER_01: The new starting left guard, he's had a couple of penalties already to start the season, and he's allowed a couple of sacks.
- 9:54SPEAKER_01: It has not been a strong start, no matter what the Bills' players and coaches.
- 9:58SPEAKER_01: I'm they're not going to come out and crush Alec Anderson, but I would appreciate a little bit of honesty from the coaching staff's perspective.
- 10:05SPEAKER_01: They come out and they say that Alec Anderson's doing a great job, but the stats don't back that up.
- 10:10SPEAKER_01: So a little bit to clean up up front for the Bills' offensive line.
- 10:14SPEAKER_01: And then Khalil Shakir, he's been pretty much non-existent for the Bills so far this season, still under 100 yards on the season through three games.
- 10:22SPEAKER_01: And Josh Allen mentioned it during his press availability on Monday that they need to get Shakir involved in the passing game in order for the offense to reach its full efficacy.
- 10:32SPEAKER_01: And that is for sure.
- 10:33SPEAKER_01: He's been their best wide receiver these past two years.
- 10:35SPEAKER_01: And I love what DJ Moore has done.
- 10:37SPEAKER_01: Keon Coleman's come on strong.
- 10:39SPEAKER_01: Joshua Palmer's found the end zone twice to begin the season.
- 10:42SPEAKER_01: But I need to see more from Khalil Shakir join the fold along with Dalton Kincaid, who's had a nice start to the season as well.
- 10:50SPEAKER_01: You get that going, and boy, we got a stew going in the Buffalo passing game.
- 10:55SPEAKER_01: But let's go to the running game quickly with James Cook.
- 10:59SPEAKER_01: Really, another phenomenal performance for him.
- 11:03SPEAKER_01: He goes for 154 yards on the ground and over six yards per carry.
- 11:11SPEAKER_01: He averages 6.4 yards per carry at that.
- 11:15SPEAKER_01: Also finds the end zone.
- 11:16SPEAKER_01: So without James Cook, it's tough to imagine how the Bills would have fared offensively in this game.
- 11:21SPEAKER_01: He rips off a long run of 23 yards.
- 11:24SPEAKER_01: And as I mentioned before, that's two straight 100-yard games for Cook after a slow start in week one.
- 11:30SPEAKER_01: He's now third in the NFL in rushing, entering week four.
- 11:35SPEAKER_01: Well, that's with the Monday night game still to go, but I'm not sure there's anyone involved in that game that can still catch him.
- 11:41SPEAKER_01: So it hasn't been what we expected for James Cook in the passing game.
- 11:45SPEAKER_01: Four receptions for nine yards on the season.
- 11:47SPEAKER_01: We have yet to see that element of his game really come to life.
- 11:51SPEAKER_01: But he's averaging six yards per carry on the season, two touchdowns.
- 11:56SPEAKER_01: That's 58 carries for 346 yards.
- 11:59SPEAKER_01: So he's once again a workhorse.
- 12:00SPEAKER_01: Now, we have to touch on the fumbles.
- 12:02SPEAKER_01: He's already fumbled twice this season.
- 12:04SPEAKER_01: He's lost one of them.
- 12:05SPEAKER_01: Probably should have lost both if it weren't for Osiris Torrance in that week one game against the Houston Texans.
- 12:11SPEAKER_01: So this is a player who led the league in fumbles last year with six.
- 12:15SPEAKER_01: James Cook really needs to get his ball security issues figured out.
- 12:19SPEAKER_01: You can't be waiting for the ball to drop, no pun intended, with Cook as the season goes and the playoffs approach in months to come.
- 12:27SPEAKER_01: So Cook needs to get that figured out.
- 12:29SPEAKER_01: But as far as his production is concerned, he's returned to form very, very quickly to start this season.
- 12:34SPEAKER_01: Six yards per carry, two touchdowns on the year for James Cook.
- 12:40SPEAKER_01: All right, now let's flip to the defensive side of the ball.
- 12:43SPEAKER_01: The biggest play in this game, the CJ Gardner Johnson interception, cutting in front of the Chargers wide receiver near the goal line and taking quite the return as well back to the Bills' 41-yard line, I believe.
- 12:55SPEAKER_01: It wasn't just the pick, but as Josh Allen mentioned during his press conference, that return that really gave the Bills a lot of breathing room at a critical juncture in the game as they were still trailing and the Chargers were looking to go in and score and really put the hammer down on the Bills.
- 13:10SPEAKER_01: CJ Gardner Johnson saved this game.
- 13:12SPEAKER_01: And Joe Brady talked about it today, talked about it as a turning point in the contest.
- 13:18SPEAKER_01: And I was critical of CJ Gardner Johnson when the Bills signed him and made a couple of waves throughout this offseason with comments made about his former team, the Houston Texans, leading into that week one matchup and then doing the live stream in the Bills training room.
- 13:31SPEAKER_01: Looking back on it, I think those, as they didn't snowball, not a big deal as it stands right now.
- 13:38SPEAKER_01: Now, the Bills have had nothing but success to start the season.
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: So let's see if they face any true adversity with a loss and see how Gardner Johnson responds.
- 13:48SPEAKER_01: But I'll be fair, he's been a fantastic free agent signing to start the year.
- 13:52SPEAKER_01: He's he's being productive.
- 13:54SPEAKER_01: He hasn't been a problem in the locker room.
- 13:55SPEAKER_01: In fact, his teammates speak highly of him in the locker room.
- 13:59SPEAKER_01: So very impressed with CJ Gardner Johnson and a huge play in this game to turn the tide for the Bills as they beat the Chargers by that eight-point margin.
- 14:09SPEAKER_01: And Gardner Johnson in this game finishes with five tackles and two passes defense.
- 14:16SPEAKER_01: The Bills secondary finally made some plays in this game, eight passes defensed total, and also four tackles for loss and a couple of sacks, both recorded by none other than Greg Rousseau.
- 14:30SPEAKER_01: He has come on like an absolute hulkamaniac to start this 2026 season.
- 14:37SPEAKER_01: Two straight, or excuse me, three straight games with two sacks in each of them.
- 14:43SPEAKER_01: He's only the third player all time to do that.
- 14:45SPEAKER_01: He joins Mark Gastino and Kevin Green on that elite list.
- 14:50SPEAKER_01: Six sacks in a three-game span.
- 14:52SPEAKER_01: He's one of few Buffalo Bills to ever do that.
- 14:55SPEAKER_01: So Greg Rousseau, we've all been waiting for him to take this leap into superstar level status ever since he was selected in the first round by the Bills.
- 15:05SPEAKER_01: And he is starting to take those steps.
- 15:08SPEAKER_01: And it was talked about a lot during today's press availability.
- 15:12SPEAKER_01: What's led to the difference in Greg Rousseau?
- 15:14SPEAKER_01: This, that, and two things stand out the most.
- 15:16SPEAKER_01: First of all, the scheme change to Jim Leonard and what he's being asked to do.
- 15:20SPEAKER_01: He's standing up a little bit more on that two-point stance.
- 15:23SPEAKER_01: He's on the right side of the defensive line, which is in his case, I believe, the left side, uh, opposite Bradley Chubb, who Joe Brady mentioned today, is making a massive difference for Greg Rousseau.
- 15:38SPEAKER_01: Bradley Chubb, a trusty veteran, somebody who's running a 3-4 plenty at the professional level, and somebody who's already been trusted to be a captain on this team.
- 15:47SPEAKER_01: So him being in Greg Rousseau's ear, giving him some tricks of the trade, has taken Rousseau from a very good player to bordering on a great player if he can keep this going for weeks to come.
- 15:59SPEAKER_01: I tweeted about it today on my X account.
- 16:02SPEAKER_01: If Rousseau keeps this alive for three, four, he's going to be top of the list in defensive player of the year.
- 16:08SPEAKER_01: I think he should be there already with his force fumbles, the game-changing impact, impact, excuse me, that he's delivered for the Bills.
- 16:15SPEAKER_01: But if he does it for a few more weeks, the national media is going to start taking hold like they already have with Deion Walker.
- 16:22SPEAKER_01: And Greg Rousseau is going to be talked about at the level of a Miles Garrett.
- 16:26SPEAKER_01: Now, can he keep going two sacks a week?
- 16:28SPEAKER_01: I'm not so sure.
- 16:29SPEAKER_01: He's on pace for 34 sacks this season.
- 16:32SPEAKER_01: But if he can keep going at this clip, Greg Rousseau is going to be starting or is going to be talked about as one of the top defenders in this league, both on the edge and frankly, anywhere on the defensive side of the ball.
- 16:48SPEAKER_01: And you look elsewhere on the Bills defensive line.
- 16:51SPEAKER_01: We talked about Ed Oliver, three QB hits.
- 16:54SPEAKER_01: Bradley Chubb is starting to come alive, had a disappointing roughing the passer penalty in this game.
- 16:59SPEAKER_01: And you also look at Dwayne Carter.
- 17:01SPEAKER_01: We mentioned him on the last podcast.
- 17:03SPEAKER_01: I wasn't so sure about his performance, but he's starting to leave no doubt out there.
- 17:07SPEAKER_01: He's really doing a nice job, especially in pass rushing situations.
- 17:12SPEAKER_01: He's bulked up to make himself available at the nose tackle position and make himself a little bit more adequate of a run defender, but he's still got a little bit of a step on some of those interior offensive linemen, and that's allowed him to gain some penetration.
- 17:26SPEAKER_01: And you saw it on one of Greg Rousseau's sacks on Sunday afternoon.
- 17:30SPEAKER_01: Carter gets the pressure from the right side.
- 17:33SPEAKER_01: Rousseau comes in from the left side and finishes the job.
- 17:36SPEAKER_01: So very impressed with what I've seen from Dwayne Carter in recent weeks after I was very critical of him to start this offseason and training camp.
- 18:02SPEAKER_01: Still finished with three tackles and a pass defense, batted another one down.
- 18:07SPEAKER_01: And you saw Lannon Jackson get a pressure there as well.
- 18:11SPEAKER_01: And he came away with a pass defense.
- 18:13SPEAKER_01: Finally, Alanon Jackson sighting.
- 18:15SPEAKER_01: He finishes the game with four tackles.
- 18:17SPEAKER_01: So the defensive line continues to click.
- 18:19SPEAKER_01: And the difference in this game for the defense, as I mentioned before, it was the secondary.
- 18:25SPEAKER_01: You had Christian Benford going out with a toe injury, which I forgot to mention off the top when I was talking about injuries.
- 18:31SPEAKER_01: He was in a walking boot after the game.
- 18:33SPEAKER_01: So it remains to be seen whether Christian Benford will not only be able to suit up this week for the Bills against the New England Patriots, but moving forward and whether the Bills will have to go out and sign somebody on the free agent market, Tradavius White.
- 18:49SPEAKER_01: So we'll see what happens there.
- 18:51SPEAKER_01: But as far as the secondary was concerned, the big star in this game, Davison Igbonosen, six tackles, his physicality showing up on the edge of the defense in the running game, and also made some plays in the passing game, a pass defense, then drew the praise from his coaching staff.
- 19:08SPEAKER_01: So Davison Igbonosen, the Bills' rookie second round pick, really starting to shine when given the opportunity.
- 19:15SPEAKER_01: And I said last week I wasn't so sure if he was ready for an opportunity in a starting role, but he was thrust out there for regular snaps against the Chargers, and the Chargers have kind of stunk it up on offense.
- 19:26SPEAKER_01: But boy, he looks very impressive and took the flashes that he's been showing in past weeks, and I thought put it together a little bit more consistently in this game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
- 19:37SPEAKER_01: So if Benford's out, it'll be Davis and Igbonosen in, and then we'll see what the Bills do elsewhere at the position to gain some depth at cornerback, entering the meat of their regular season schedule.
- 19:50SPEAKER_01: And I mentioned Jim Leonard a little bit already.
- 19:52SPEAKER_01: I was very critical of him to start the game on Sunday, and I think rightfully so.
- 19:56SPEAKER_01: The Bills were struggling on third down.
- 19:59SPEAKER_01: They were giving up those third and longs, and the Chargers offense was not having much trouble moving up and down the field.
- 20:05SPEAKER_01: It was just a matter of them shooting themselves in the foot as they tend to do.
- 20:09SPEAKER_01: So I wasn't so high on the defense to start the game, but as they went along, similar to the Texans game, we saw those adjustments from Jim Leonard's defense, and you have to give him credit as the Bills once again come away with the stops that they needed to win this game in the end.
- 20:24SPEAKER_01: And another coach who's winning me over, yes, Joe Brady, the head coach of the Bills, who I said was who I said was a disastrous hire for the Bills this offseason immediately when they promoted him from offensive coordinator.
- 20:39SPEAKER_01: Listen, it's still only three weeks into the season.
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: The Bills have yet to lose a game, so I'm not sure I can get there with Brady until if and when they do lose this season.
- 20:49SPEAKER_01: I said to somebody on X that it might take me until after that Rams game, maybe a little bit longer, to firmly plant my flag and officially eat my words if that is to be the case with Joe Brady.
- 20:59SPEAKER_01: But I keep saying this word, poise.
- 21:02SPEAKER_01: He he looks incredibly poised at the microphone, comes across as incredibly poised when he speaks with the media.
- 21:07SPEAKER_01: Also on the sideline, seems to be doing the right things and pulling the right triggers and pushing the right buttons in the locker room as well.
- 21:15SPEAKER_01: So I really like what I've seen from Joe Brady.
- 21:17SPEAKER_01: There have been some questionable calls.
- 21:19SPEAKER_01: We go back to the third down with Dawson Knox trying to do the QB sneak against the Chargers.
- 21:26SPEAKER_01: I thought that was a heinous call, and I hope we never see that again.
- 21:28SPEAKER_01: Although Brady said he might call that again as the season goes along.
- 21:32SPEAKER_01: I thought that was just a bad decision.
- 21:35SPEAKER_01: But with that said, when you look at Brady's performance this season in totality, I think he's looked apart, he's looked comfortable, especially more and more as the weeks have gone along.
- 21:46SPEAKER_01: So uh very impressed with Joe Brady.
- 21:48SPEAKER_01: I thought it was a good performance from Jim Leonard in this game.
- 21:51SPEAKER_01: Now, there are worrisome aspects of this performance the turnovers, the penalties, and Brady did take those at His feet today at the press conference.
- 22:02SPEAKER_01: And even yesterday during Sunday's postgame press conference said it was his fault.
- 22:06SPEAKER_01: He's the one who's allowing it.
- 22:08SPEAKER_01: So uh he needs to get it figured out.
- 22:10SPEAKER_01: But I think all in all, it's been a good start to the season and a good start to his career, obviously.
- 22:14SPEAKER_01: 3-0, Joe Brady, the fifth youngest coach of all time to start 3-0.
- 22:19SPEAKER_01: So Brady getting it done, and the Bills getting it done once again as they improve to 3-0.
- 22:24SPEAKER_01: As the Los Angeles Chargers, let me tell you, they just looked absolutely atrocious in this game.
- 22:29SPEAKER_01: Listen, they miss a field goal, they're dropping passes.
- 22:34SPEAKER_01: Justin Herbert with the unconscionable turnover to CJ Gardner Johnson on the interception.
- 22:40SPEAKER_01: It was just a horrible day.
- 22:42SPEAKER_01: Then they start to make penalties or uh get called for penalties down the stretch of that game.
- 22:47SPEAKER_01: So, just all in all, a horrible day for Jim Harbaugh and his team.
- 22:52SPEAKER_01: They should really be ashamed of themselves and how this season has started.
- 22:56SPEAKER_01: They were looked at as Super Bowl contenders, have not proven to be as much to start this year.
- 23:00SPEAKER_01: Mike McDaniels hire as offensive coordinator has proven to be a disaster.
- 23:04SPEAKER_01: And then you look at the defensive coordinator hire of Chris O'Leary.
- 23:08SPEAKER_01: His first season as a defensive coordinator at any level came last year in the MAC conference at the collegiate level.
- 23:14SPEAKER_01: So, all in all, just an embarrassing performance put forth by the Chargers.
- 23:19SPEAKER_01: They should really think about folding up shop and canceling the season, but uh I digress on that one.
- 23:25SPEAKER_01: And then you look at the Bills upcoming opponent in week four, the New England Patriots, another god-awful team that's played absolutely horrendously to start this season.
- 23:35SPEAKER_01: They had the win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, but that was a really bad performance from Pittsburgh.
- 23:40SPEAKER_01: Drake May cannot stop turning the ball over, and not only turning the ball over, doing it in the red zone.
- 23:45SPEAKER_01: The Cardinals sin, uh, just taking points off the board and making just bad, bad decisions game in and game out.
- 23:54SPEAKER_01: There's a lot of concern, and Mike Vrabel said as much in his post-game press conference that he's even concerned with the Patriots at this point.
- 24:01SPEAKER_01: So this schedule for the Bills looking a lot easier at this point.
- 24:05SPEAKER_01: The Rams lost again last night against the Denver Broncos.
- 24:08SPEAKER_01: They might be without Puka Nakua once they roll in uh against the Bills.
- 24:13SPEAKER_01: So they're already without Miles Garrett.
- 24:15SPEAKER_01: You look at the injuries that have taken place against the Bills, you look at the teams that have not had the good fortune that we thought they would to start the season.
- 24:23SPEAKER_01: It's really starting to round out in the Bills' favor to start this year.
- 24:28SPEAKER_01: All right, that's going to just about do it.
- 24:31SPEAKER_01: Also, Fedarian Mathis off his three-game suspension.
- 24:33SPEAKER_01: We'll see if the Bills bring him back to the roster.
- 24:35SPEAKER_01: He's got a three-day roster exemption.
- 24:38SPEAKER_01: I think Dwayne Carter's done enough to stick around.
- 24:40SPEAKER_01: We'll see if they keep Greg Gaines on the roster or if they go to Federian Mathis here as the game against the Patriots comes up on Sunday.
- 24:50SPEAKER_01: But please be sure to follow along throughout the rest of the season.
