Speaker 1: Hey, what's going on? Everyone? Welcome into another episode of
• 0:12
Speaker 1: the check O Daily.
• 0:13
Speaker 2: Andrew Decheco, Eagles beat reporter for insidethbirds dot Com. The
• 0:17
Speaker 2: Eagles held their first of two rookie mini camp practices
• 0:21
Speaker 2: on Friday, and I was on hand at the Jefferson
• 0:24
Speaker 2: Health Training Complex to provide all of the relevant news
• 0:27
Speaker 2: and notes from today.
• 0:29
Speaker 1: So let's get right into it.
• 0:32
Speaker 2: I know this is much anticipated, but the Eagles now
• 0:35
Speaker 2: have revealed the numbers for their rookie class, and this
• 0:38
Speaker 2: was revealed shortly before practice started. Wide receiver Makai Lemon
• 0:42
Speaker 2: will wear number nine. Tight end Eli Stours eighty seven,
• 0:46
Speaker 2: offensive tackle Markel Bell seventy two, quarterback Cole Peyton ten,
• 0:50
Speaker 2: guard Michael Morris seventy six, safety Cole was Nuwski twenty one,
• 0:55
Speaker 2: defensive tackle who R. Bernard ninety three, outside linebacker Keyshawn
• 0:59
Speaker 2: James newb fifty. Uniform numbers for the undrafted rookie class.
• 1:05
Speaker 2: Defensive back Capina Gushikin thirty four, defensive back Tucker Lars
• 1:10
Speaker 2: thirty seven, linebacker Deonte loss In forty seven, defensive back
• 1:14
Speaker 2: Maximus Pulley thirty six, guard Jayden Roberts sixty four, long
• 1:19
Speaker 2: snapper Rocco Underwood thirty seven, defensive end Joshua we Rude
• 1:23
Speaker 2: the forty six, defensive tackle Daikwon Wright forty five. Yeah,
• 1:30
Speaker 2: tight end Daikon Right forty five. And there are some
• 1:36
Speaker 2: interesting tryout players there. And while I'm on the subject
• 1:40
Speaker 2: of tryout players, it's worth pointing out that in each
• 1:42
Speaker 2: of the past two rookie mini camps, Leagles elected to
• 1:45
Speaker 2: sign a player. In twenty twenty four, it was Ferris
• 1:47
Speaker 2: State cornerback Sean Stevens and last spring, Washington wide receiver
• 1:52
Speaker 2: Giles Jackson punched his ticket to training camp. So we'll
• 1:56
Speaker 2: see what happens with this group, But there's some relevant
• 2:00
Speaker 2: notes among the veteran tryout players. On hand, running backs
• 2:04
Speaker 2: Elijah Mitchell and Khalil Herbert, outside linebacker Isaiah Thomas, and
• 2:09
Speaker 2: offensive lineman Michael Jordan.
• 2:10
  Speaker 1: Now, Jordan is.
• 2:11
Speaker 2: An interesting name, as the Eagles currently lack for experience
• 2:14
Speaker 2: in tearing your depth on the offensive line.
• 2:16
  Speaker 1: Johnson.
• 2:17
Speaker 2: Jordan is a seventh year pro drafted by the Cincinnati
• 2:20
Speaker 2: Bengals in the fourth round in twenty nineteen. He's appeared
• 2:22
Speaker 2: in seventy eight games, with forty nine starts and in
• 2:26
Speaker 2: other news. Wide receiver Jakwan Jackson was also participated in
• 2:30
Speaker 2: Eagles rookie mini camp. He was a six round pick
• 2:32
Speaker 2: with the Tennessee Titans in twenty twenty four and was
• 2:35
Speaker 2: a player the team showed some interest in during the twenty.
• 2:37
Speaker 1: Twenty four pre draft cycle.
• 2:40
Speaker 2: In my collection of Intel, Eagles second year offensive lineman
• 2:45
Speaker 2: Holland Pierson third year defensive lineman Gabe Hall are on
• 2:49
Speaker 2: hand for rookie mini camp. Pierce was a twenty twenty
• 2:52
Speaker 2: five undrafted free agent. He spent the entirety of last
• 2:54
Speaker 2: season on the Eagles practice squad, and Hall was a
• 2:58
Speaker 2: twenty twenty four post draft signing. He appeared in two
• 3:00
Speaker 2: games last season. I think for bottom of the roster players,
• 3:04
Speaker 2: reps shrink dramatically in training camp. That's important to note
• 3:07
Speaker 2: and Pearson Hall should benefit from the extra work. And
• 3:11
Speaker 2: I know Jeff and Adam have talked about this on
• 3:13
Speaker 2: the podcast, about the wingspan and arm length of rookie
• 3:18
Speaker 2: Mark l Bell and Holland Pierce, and they wanted to
• 3:22
Speaker 2: see a side by side. They were hoping to see
• 3:24
Speaker 2: a side by side and we'll see that in training camp.
• 3:27
Speaker 2: But I was able to capture that as they were
• 3:29
Speaker 2: standing side by side and actually did a rep together
• 3:32
Speaker 2: in practice. Just enormous offensive lineman with a fascinating wingspan
• 3:38
Speaker 2: that seems to never end. But there was also some
• 3:41
Speaker 2: notable tryout rookies. Punter Luke Acres Northwestern. He's actually the
• 3:45
Speaker 2: son of Eagles kicker David Acres, wide receiver Kajia Hallowayan
• 3:49
Speaker 2: from Temple, linebacker Isaiah King Idaho, outside linebacker Jamari Butler
• 3:54
Speaker 2: from LSU, tight end J. T. Burn from Georgia Tech,
• 3:58
Speaker 2: and defensive tackle TJ.
• 3:59
  Speaker 1: Burke from Lehigh.
• 4:03
Speaker 2: The Eagles on Friday also officially announced their eight player
• 4:07
Speaker 2: class of undrafted rookies, and here's the breakdown. Defensive back
• 4:11
Speaker 2: of Pinat Gushigan gashikin twenty three, began at Saddleback Community College,
• 4:16
Speaker 2: which is in Mission Viejo, California, staying for two seasons
• 4:20
Speaker 2: twenty one and twenty two, and he spent the next
• 4:23
Speaker 2: two seasons at Washington State before finishing out his college
• 4:26
Speaker 2: career at Ole Miss. He's five foot nine, hundred and
• 4:28
Speaker 2: eighty nine pounds and he started twelve with fifteen games
• 4:30
Speaker 2: for the Rebels last season, collecting fifty five tackles, six
• 4:34
Speaker 2: passes defended, and an interception. At the school's pro day,
• 4:38
Speaker 2: Kashikin produced a four to three three forty yard dash,
• 4:41
Speaker 2: forty inch vertical eleven foot broad broad jump at seventeen.
• 4:45
Speaker 1: Reps on the bench press.
• 4:46
Speaker 2: He's probably best suit to be a nickel, but this
• 4:49
Speaker 2: is a versatile back end player with good explosive traits,
• 4:52
Speaker 2: and you could see at nickel where his short area,
• 4:54
Speaker 2: burst and athleticism can be maximized. Defensive Back Tucker Large
• 5:00
Speaker 2: five to eleven win eighty five began his career at
• 5:02
Speaker 2: South Dakota State, finished off at Washington State in twenty
• 5:05
Speaker 2: twenty five. Large started thirteen games for the Cougars, seventy
• 5:09
Speaker 2: one tackles, three for loss, and six passes defended.
• 5:12
Speaker 1: Something I'm note here.
• 5:13
Speaker 2: At South Dakota State, Large proved productive in his opportunities
• 5:16
Speaker 2: as a pump returner, returning twenty two times for four
• 5:19
Speaker 2: hundred and two yards and a touchdown.
• 5:21
Speaker 1: He totaled seven interceptions for the.
• 5:22
Speaker 2: Jack Rabbits, return run for a sixty four yard touchdown,
• 5:26
Speaker 2: so he has a propensity to find the football. Linebacker
• 5:30
Speaker 2: Deonte Lawson from Alabama. Lawson twenty three years old started
• 5:34
Speaker 2: forty one games and a collegiate career that covered five seasons,
• 5:37
Speaker 2: including fifteen. Last season, a twenty twenty five second team
• 5:40
Speaker 2: All SEC selection, Lawson had eighty nine tackles, four and
• 5:44
Speaker 2: a half for loss, a sack and a half, four
• 5:46
Speaker 2: pass defendant and a pair of fores fumbles. He's sixty
• 5:49
Speaker 2: three to twenty six, and he did navigate some injuries,
• 5:52
Speaker 2: including a torn acl in twenty twenty four, throughout his career.
• 5:56
Speaker 2: He's going to bring length and fluidity, along with a
• 5:58
Speaker 2: valuable experience at at one of the premier powerhouse programs
• 6:01
Speaker 2: in college football. It's also worth noting that Lawson served
• 6:04
Speaker 2: as a team captain over his final two seasons. Defensive
• 6:08
Speaker 2: back Maximus Pulley prior to arriving at Watford in twenty
• 6:11
Speaker 2: twenty three. Pulley, who is five to eleven to two hundred,
• 6:15
Speaker 2: spent his first two collegiate campaigns at Western Kentucky, but
• 6:18
Speaker 2: at Wafford, Pully started all thirty four games at which
• 6:21
Speaker 2: he appeared at safety, totaling one hundred and eighty nine tackles,
• 6:24
Speaker 2: seven for loss, sixteen pass defended, and seven interceptions, five
• 6:28
Speaker 2: of which he produced last season. He managed to convert
• 6:31
Speaker 2: three of his turnovers into touchdowns, and last season he
• 6:35
Speaker 2: garnered notable accolades, including first team All so Con and
• 6:38
Speaker 2: was also a finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award. Guard
• 6:42
Speaker 2: Jaden Roberts another player who I like in this class.
• 6:44
Speaker 2: He's twenty three, twenty five starts at Alabama over his
• 6:48
Speaker 2: final three years, all at right guard, six' five three thirty,
• 6:52
Speaker 2: three with a wingspan that measures in over eighty three,
• 6:55
Speaker 2: inches he looks the. Part he isn't considered to be an,
• 6:58
Speaker 2: uberathlete but he plays with tenacity and, technique AND i
• 7:02
Speaker 2: think that while he's experienced a share of, injuries the
• 7:05
Speaker 2: current numbers at his position should afford him a legitimate
• 7:07
Speaker 2: opportunity to stick around in some, capacity as long as
• 7:10
Speaker 2: they don't surface once. Again long Snapper Roco, underwood needless to,
• 7:16
Speaker 2: say probably faces the best odds at making the, roster
• 7:21
Speaker 2: barring something where they add a veteran or something down the.
• 7:24
Speaker 2: Line but The eagles don't have a long. Snapper they
• 7:26
Speaker 2: didn't re Sign Charlie, hewlett they didn't sign anyone in free.
• 7:29
Speaker 2: Agency underwood appeared in fifty games for The. Gators he
• 7:32
Speaker 2: was a mainstay on their special. Teams six foot, three
• 7:35
Speaker 2: two hundred and thirty one, pounds he won the twenty
• 7:37
Speaker 2: twenty Four Patrick Manley award and was qualified as a semi.
• 7:41
Speaker 2: Finalist in twenty twenty, five he earned twenty twenty five
• 7:44
Speaker 2: second Team ALL sec, honors and also last, season he
• 7:48
Speaker 2: totaled one hundred and three, snaps including fifty two on
• 7:50
Speaker 2: punk coverage and another fifty one on field goals and.
• 7:53
Speaker 1: Extra points defensive. End Joshua weiru like you Are bernard
• 8:00
Speaker 1: is an ipp. Player he's a native Of.
• 8:02
Speaker 2: Kenya he dazzled at THE Hbcu Showcase Inn International Pathway
• 8:06
Speaker 2: Player Pro. Day he clocked at four four five forty
• 8:09
Speaker 2: forty one inch vertical an eleven to two broad. Jump
• 8:11
Speaker 2: he's six four two forty four and he is new to,
• 8:14
Speaker 2: football but he comes to The eagles with only a
• 8:16
Speaker 2: background in, rugby so he has a little bit more
• 8:19
Speaker 2: experience in some realm of that compared To, bernard but
• 8:24
Speaker 2: he carries some intrigue as a down the road developmental.
• 8:26
Speaker 2: Project he's listed as an outside. Linebacker he trained for
• 8:29
Speaker 2: the draft Alongside bernard At Extree performance In Fort, myers
• 8:34
Speaker 2: AND i was told That jordan My lot have visited
• 8:36
Speaker 2: the facility often during the pre draft, process and So
• 8:41
Speaker 2: Joshua weiru is a fascinating prospect That i'm looking forward to.
• 8:44
Speaker 2: Seeing but just like Ure, bernard temporary. Expectations there is
• 8:48
Speaker 2: reason for, intrigue of, course but it might take two
• 8:51
Speaker 2: or three years for these players to have their potential fully,
• 8:55
Speaker 2: realized but they are in the best place possible for
• 8:57
Speaker 2: that to. Happen things, out we have tight end Day Kwon.
• 9:01
Speaker 2: Wright right was considered to be a draftable prospect that
• 9:06
Speaker 2: had a six round grade on, him but The eagles
• 9:09
Speaker 2: get him after the, draft so that could prove to
• 9:12
Speaker 2: be a, steal and he's twenty two years. Old he
• 9:15
Speaker 2: was a big play option last season for The rebels
• 9:18
Speaker 2: over a DOZEN i think of right round a dozen
• 9:20
Speaker 2: catches for over twenty, yards which is intriguing for an
• 9:23
Speaker 2: offense that really covets big, plays and he had thirty
• 9:26
Speaker 2: nine catches for six thirty five and five, touchdowns garnering
• 9:30
Speaker 2: second Team ALL sec recognition as a. Result the six foot,
• 9:33
Speaker 2: four two hundred and forty six pounder brings, toughness, versatility
• 9:36
Speaker 2: and ball skills and could have an outside shot at
• 9:39
Speaker 2: elbowing his way onto The eagles with a strong.

Speaker 2: with and. Develop but it was good to see him out.
• 11:15
Speaker 2: There when we first got out to the practice, shield
• 11:17
Speaker 2: we saw Quarterback Cole peyton working with quarterbacks Coach Park
• 11:21
Speaker 2: fraser and offensive Coordinator Sean, mannion so it was great
• 11:24

Speaker 2: say but that's to be expected when you're drafting a

Speaker 2: player like that who's never played football but has the
