- 1:44Speaker 1: on who's listening and who's your team?
- 1:47Speaker 2: All right? So let's go.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Six oh one, eight, eight, five, three, seven, seven, six,

- 2:12Speaker 1: with how are you listening on one oh five nine
- 2:15Speaker 1: the zone or streaming the show? Where are you listening from?
- 2:20Speaker 1: And uh, who's your team? And what is your prediction
- 2:23Speaker 1: this year for your team?
- 2:25Speaker 2: All right?
- 2:26Speaker 1: So are you going twelve and oh or eleven in one?
- 2:28Speaker 1: Is basically the question in sec country. I know there's
- 2:31Speaker 1: not really any other debate. You know, we may have
- 2:34Speaker 1: some ten and twos, but I know everybody's either going
- 2:38Speaker 1: twelve and oh or eleven and one, especially with now
- 2:41Speaker 1: a new nine game conference schedule and a mandated power
- 2:45Speaker 1: for non con bar two. Good morning, how are you,
- 2:49Speaker 1: budd It is absolutely gorgeous outside, heats already coming. Oh yeah,
- 2:54Speaker 1: but no, actually you don't.
- 2:55Speaker 3: You don't need to go twelve and oho and eleven
- 2:56Speaker 3: and one anymore in the SEC four and eight with
- 2:59Speaker 3: a strong strength of schedule should gets in.
- 3:03Speaker 2: I love it, you know.
- 3:04Speaker 3: It is strength of schedule apparently now makes you better
- 3:08Speaker 3: as a team without playing a game.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Well, Notre Dame's going to be proof that strength of
- 3:12Speaker 1: schedule doesn't matter.
- 3:13Speaker 2: How long have I been saying that, right, it doesn't matter.
- 3:15Speaker 3: There's no correlation to the quality of the team, you know,
- 3:18Speaker 3: and I get it, you know, maybe it's a strength
- 3:20Speaker 3: of record thing.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Stop saying strength to schedule. Okay, you know, but.
- 3:26Speaker 3: What are you going to do when it's strength of
- 3:30Speaker 3: schedule that divides your Let's say we're down to one
- 3:34Speaker 3: one spot in the playoffs? Okay, okay, there's two teams
- 3:38Speaker 3: on the block, both nine and three, right, they're both SEC.
- 3:44Speaker 3: One's LSU, one's Missouri, right, right, it's we were talking
- 3:50Speaker 3: about the brands, right, which one'es Greg want to go LSU?
- 3:55Speaker 1: Right?
- 3:56Speaker 2: Yeah, But even if there's strength of schedules worse.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Hey, so you know it's it's trying to have your
- 4:03Speaker 3: cake and eat it too. Sure took the money, Sure
- 4:05Speaker 3: we went to nine and now we want to change
- 4:08Speaker 3: the rules of ranking teams.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Well, I don't know if that's so. This is all
- 4:12Speaker 1: played off of the media too, and and other and
- 4:16Speaker 1: other media from other conferences watching what happens this week.
- 4:19Speaker 1: I mean, I don't think that's been like the main
- 4:20Speaker 1: narrative in Tampa, you know, But I think he gets
- 4:24Speaker 1: asked questions and he's like, you know, look, he did
- 4:27Speaker 1: say we had a we had a conversation with the
- 4:31Speaker 1: College Football Playoff Committee and it was unsatisfactory. Right now,
- 4:35Speaker 1: do I know exactly what was I mean, you know,
- 4:38Speaker 1: I guess, hey, we're going to nine games, plus we're
- 4:41Speaker 1: playing a P four team. What does that do to
- 4:44Speaker 1: do anything for y'all? I mean, we're gonna play ten
- 4:47Speaker 1: Power four games?
- 4:48Speaker 2: Yeah, you know. Or it looks like now, like you.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Said yesterday, Greg is telling his presidence, Greg sank you
- 4:58Speaker 1: for our listeners, SEC Committe, It looks like Greg sank.
- 5:03Speaker 1: He's not telling because he answers to the presidents, But
- 5:05Speaker 1: it looks like as they collaborate and work together. That
- 5:09Speaker 1: Sankei and the SEC presidents and secads have decided to
- 5:13Speaker 1: opt out a power for non con game.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Yeah, we've seen a couple of those, right, you know.
- 5:18Speaker 3: And and unfortunately, the the the less we have for
- 5:21Speaker 3: non conference, the more the conferences play themselves, the worse
- 5:25Speaker 3: our strength of schedule gets.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Right, But nobody no bases of comparison now, right, But
- 5:29Speaker 1: everybody the other three conferences are just as much to
- 5:33Speaker 1: blame too, because they're not they're not doing it either, right, right,
- 5:36Speaker 1: And so I don't know what happens with Clemson.
- 5:39Speaker 2: You know, here, here's the deal.
- 5:41Speaker 1: What happens. I mean, it's not going to be the
- 5:43Speaker 1: end of the world, But what happens with Clemson South Carolina?
- 5:47Speaker 1: Does anybody really care? Georgia Georgia Tech. But that's another
- 5:49Speaker 1: kind of staple non con that's always played, right, Florida,
- 5:54Speaker 1: Florida State, which hasn't had the sizzle the last fifteen years,
- 5:58Speaker 1: but man, when Bobby bow Than Steve Spurrier were there,
- 6:01Speaker 1: it was an all out throw. In fact, it was
- 6:03Speaker 1: it was the game of the year a lot of years. Yeah,
- 6:05Speaker 1: that was you know, everybody looked forward to the right.
- 6:07Speaker 3: You know, and I think we'd all agree is when
- 6:10Speaker 3: the big brands are better, or if everything is is
- 6:14Speaker 3: it's just more fun, yes, right, we we want to
- 6:16Speaker 3: see Catholics Convicts both in the top ten.
- 6:20Speaker 2: No question.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Well, and you just made a good point Miami being
- 6:23Speaker 1: back for the first time in twenty five years. Right,
- 6:28Speaker 1: Miami had decided to drive their football program right off
- 6:31Speaker 1: the train tracks and Mario has done a good job
- 6:37Speaker 1: putting that back together.
- 6:38Speaker 2: So that's a great point.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Miami is one of those ones that jumped back up
- 6:44Speaker 1: and decided to become to get in the VIP party
- 6:48Speaker 1: last year, to.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Be to be a lead again right right to good.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Lord they were, they had some players, right, Mario is
- 6:55Speaker 1: a I don't know who's bench pressing more this morning, Mario,
- 6:58Speaker 1: Crystal Ball or Brent Venables, but it's got to be
- 7:00Speaker 1: one hell of a competition. They should do that. That
- 7:04Speaker 1: would make SEC media days interesting.
- 7:06Speaker 2: All right.
- 7:07Speaker 1: We want to get into where did national championship coaches
- 7:10Speaker 1: come from?
- 7:11Speaker 2: With bar two?
- 7:12Speaker 1: But before that, how many jobs actually pay you to
- 7:16Speaker 1: see America? Total transportation of Mississippi does solo or team
- 7:22Speaker 1: routes nationwide or regional routes. You choose your path at
- 7:29Speaker 1: Total Transportation of Mississippi. Let them be your travel agent
- 7:33Speaker 1: and pay you to do it.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Get in the.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Driver's seat of your future powered by totalms dot com.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Apply today with a great company at Total Transportation of
- 7:45Speaker 1: Mississippi total ms dot com. We're live from Dancing Rabbit
- 7:50Speaker 1: Golf Club on the property of Pearl River Resort. Yes,
- 7:52Speaker 1: Bar two and I did go to the sports book yesterday.
- 7:56Speaker 1: We will be back there today. Bar two is going
- 7:58Speaker 1: to make some bad so on Week one Ole missing
- 8:03Speaker 1: Louisville and possibly some other games. But we want to
- 8:06Speaker 1: get into where do national championship coaches come from? And
- 8:14Speaker 1: so let's just go over Kurt Signetty the last one,
- 8:19Speaker 1: Ryan Day before that, Ohio State, and Jim Harbaugh at
- 8:23Speaker 1: Michigan before that, in Kirby Smart before that, because everybody
- 8:29Speaker 1: outside of the SEC is loving that we haven't won
- 8:34Speaker 1: a championship in three years?
- 8:36Speaker 2: Now?
- 8:36Speaker 1: Are we going to win another one? Of course we
- 8:38Speaker 1: are in our sleep. And would I be surprised if Georgia,
- 8:42Speaker 1: like if I went somewhere, if Bar two put me
- 8:45Speaker 1: on a spaceship today and I didn't come back until
- 8:48Speaker 1: January twenty first, and somebody told me that Georgia won
- 8:54Speaker 1: the national championship.
- 8:55Speaker 2: I wouldn't be surprised.
- 8:56Speaker 3: You can't be, right, right, you can't be And I
- 8:58Speaker 3: think when we were talking about the different coaches last night,
- 9:01Speaker 3: and the reason I'd brought it up in our conversation
- 9:05Speaker 3: is just watching on the social medias some of the
- 9:09Speaker 3: people talking about, well, this is where national championship coaches
- 9:12Speaker 3: come from. You've got to be a great OC or
- 9:14Speaker 3: a great DC at some point. They don't come from
- 9:17Speaker 3: small schools, you know. And I think it was a
- 9:20Speaker 3: lot of it was in reference to will Stein being
- 9:23Speaker 3: a really good offensive coordinator Oregon and UTSA. Now he's
- 9:27Speaker 3: at Kentucky, and you know, it kind of just got
- 9:31Speaker 3: me thinking of where do And it goes along with
- 9:35Speaker 3: the conversation we had too about sometimes as an athletic director,
- 9:39Speaker 3: when you're hiring guys, it's better to.
- 9:42Speaker 2: Be more lucky than good. Sure, right, And you look at.
- 9:45Speaker 3: These national championship guys and yeah, we love elite ocs,
- 9:50Speaker 3: we love elite dcs. Look at Kirby, yeah right, I
- 9:53Speaker 3: mean he is in my numbers, without a doubt, the
- 9:56Speaker 3: best defensive.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Coordinator in the two thousands. Yeah, at least it's twenty ten.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Okay, Okay, you know in uh let's call it his generation,
- 10:06Speaker 3: yeast like the last fifteen years. You know, I'm never
- 10:09Speaker 3: one of those guys of greatest of all time? I like,
- 10:12Speaker 3: how were you in your generation? Because rules, everything's always changing. Sure,
- 10:16Speaker 3: you know we're going to look back at the post
- 10:19Speaker 3: in pre nil era, right, right, because that twenty twenty
- 10:23Speaker 3: one transition, we're gonna look back and it's going to
- 10:28Speaker 3: be I think it's going to be Wow, that really
- 10:30Speaker 3: really changed football.
- 10:31Speaker 2: We know it's going to. But to what extent We're
- 10:34Speaker 2: not sure? Right?
- 10:36Speaker 3: So you look at these you look at the National
- 10:38Speaker 3: champions and you look at Kurt Signetti, right, was he
- 10:41Speaker 3: was he an elite OC?
- 10:42Speaker 2: No? Is he in lead DC? No? No? Did he
- 10:45Speaker 2: come out of the G six? Actually he came out
- 10:47Speaker 2: of what Division two? Yeah?
- 10:49Speaker 3: Division three? So he didn't have that before that. You
- 10:54Speaker 3: got Ryan Day, Okay, we'll give him elite OC. Right,
- 10:57Speaker 3: So we got elite OC. But Jim Jim Harbaugh wasn't
- 10:59Speaker 3: elite in anything before being a head coach. He was
- 11:02Speaker 3: at San Diego, no scholar scholarship. San Diego is where
- 11:06Speaker 3: he started as the head coach. So two of our
- 11:08Speaker 3: last three national championship winning head coaches came from what
- 11:12Speaker 3: most fans would say the absolute bottom of the bucket
- 11:15Speaker 3: in terms of college football, right, you know, national champions
- 11:19Speaker 3: don't come from there, right, And then you got Curby.
- 11:21Speaker 1: And think about that, Yeah, quake bar two, I understand, signetty.
- 11:25Speaker 2: You know, having to go I mean he went.
- 11:28Speaker 1: From low ball low a minor league baseball basically to
- 11:34Speaker 1: the promised land of winning the national championship that harball,
- 11:37Speaker 1: after playing fifteen years in the NFL and having played
- 11:40Speaker 1: at a blue blood, still had to go to San
- 11:43Speaker 1: Diego with a non scholarship football program to cut his teeth.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Exactly, Okay, go ahe right, and then to Stanford and
- 11:50Speaker 2: so forth.
- 11:51Speaker 1: But Stanford didn't win before him or after him. That's
- 11:54Speaker 1: how damn good he is.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Yeah, and he wasn't some great offensive or defensive coordinator
- 11:59Speaker 3: like Kirby right or o Ryan Day. And then obviously
- 12:03Speaker 3: you have Nick Saban. Where's his first job Toledo. He's
- 12:09Speaker 3: head coach at Toledo Rockets. Right, So now we got
- 12:12Speaker 3: a guy coming from now when we got two Division two,
- 12:15Speaker 3: Division three guys an elite DC, elite OC and a
- 12:19Speaker 3: guy from the MAC right, and then we have that
- 12:23Speaker 3: then oh gosh, then the twenty nineteen LSU.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Or durants Eddie oh.
- 12:30Speaker 3: Right, and Eddie, Well, Eddie's been Eddie's an elite storyteller.
- 12:34Speaker 2: He is, oh my gosh, him an elite recruit right right.
- 12:37Speaker 3: I mean, if if there was a thirty to thirty
- 12:40Speaker 3: to thirty ESPN thirty thirty on recruiting stories, I'd be like,
- 12:44Speaker 3: could you just turn the camera on two people that.
- 12:48Speaker 1: I would love to hear from if they could say
- 12:50Speaker 1: whatever they wanted, which they kind of can today since
- 12:53Speaker 1: we're new rules, which Ed is kind of doing in interviews,
- 12:55Speaker 1: which is great. He's leading because we were so pearl
- 12:58Speaker 1: clutching as college foot ball. We knew that kids have
- 13:02Speaker 1: been paid under the table. It's been dirty forever. Churches.
- 13:07Speaker 2: What do we do it? Yeah, we have a salary
- 13:08Speaker 2: count now, bro what.
- 13:09Speaker 1: But the two guys that there's more than this, But
- 13:13Speaker 1: the two guys currently would be Eddio and Mario Cristobal listen,
- 13:18Speaker 1: because they're absolutely ruthless warlords when it comes to recruiting.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, go ahead.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, And I think one of by the way,
- 13:27Speaker 1: right now you have and I may have missed one,
- 13:30Speaker 1: but right now you have Dabbo National Championship coach, non
- 13:33Speaker 1: Alito c or DC Signetti National Championship. This is recently
- 13:38Speaker 1: save Signetti, Saban and Edio. Right, I think I'm missing one,
- 13:43Speaker 1: But these are guys who were never ever elite play
- 13:46Speaker 1: callers and their national championship coaches. Jim Dressel, Thank you, Jim.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Trust he's not he was never released. I'm not an
- 13:56Speaker 1: unbelievable football coach. Yeah, good grief that Youngstown State. This guy,
- 14:03Speaker 1: they were so well coached, so fundamentally sound in the trenches.
- 14:06Speaker 1: So but very Signetti like go ahead.
- 14:09Speaker 3: Two Herban Meyer, non elite OC, non on DZ another one.
- 14:14Speaker 3: Bowling Green State University, right right and urban to me
- 14:19Speaker 3: has always been the poster child of the progressive head
- 14:23Speaker 3: coach instant impact. He walked into Bowling Green Bowling Green, bam,
- 14:29Speaker 3: eight and four, nothing to eight and four, walks into Utah, bam,
- 14:35Speaker 3: walks into Florida. I mean everything that man touched.
- 14:38Speaker 2: He was the.
- 14:40Speaker 3: Most progressive in terms of being able to move from
- 14:44Speaker 3: program to program.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Hang on, let me go through them again. These are
- 14:47Speaker 1: for our listeners. These are coaches that have won national championships.
- 14:51Speaker 1: I'm not talking about in nineteen sixty seven, which doesn't matter.
- 14:55Speaker 1: In the last fifteen years. Dabo Signetti, Saban, Eidos were on,
- 15:00Speaker 1: Jim Trussell, Urban Meyer. No, a lot of them were
- 15:04Speaker 1: elite OC's or DC's.
- 15:06Speaker 2: This is past. Give you another one. Okay, this guy
- 15:09Speaker 2: average play caller. Jimbo Fisher.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Oh wow, Jim Bow But he had to be great.
- 15:16Speaker 1: You know how we label guys because he was under Saban,
- 15:20Speaker 1: they had to do a score ten points a game
- 15:22Speaker 1: when he was at LSU, he immediately got that that law.
- 15:26Speaker 1: So if you're near Saban, or you're near Urban at
- 15:29Speaker 1: a certain time, or you're near dapt you know how
- 15:32Speaker 1: we're Yeah, you're near that means you're elite.
- 15:34Speaker 2: Sean mcva like.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Charlie White Senior and Romeo Crenell under Bill Belichick, and
- 15:39Speaker 1: they they both went three and thirty nine when they
- 15:41Speaker 1: got head coaching and Josh McDaniel and when when they
- 15:43Speaker 1: got head coaching.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Jobs, they couldn't get it done.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Go ahead, you know Dave bar two on the Out
- 15:49Speaker 1: of Bound show.
- 15:50Speaker 3: How about a really good offensive coordinator? I would say,
- 15:52Speaker 3: not elite, but came out of nowhere right where he started.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Gus smells On, Yeah right, Arkansas State. Actually, Arkansas State
- 16:05Speaker 2: has produced a couple of guys.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Yeah, so Gush, Hugh Freeze not but Jones not but
- 16:11Speaker 1: shown how is he getting renewed? I don't know, right,
- 16:16Speaker 1: but you're right, Mauson and Freeze and they made quick
- 16:19Speaker 1: quick stops in Jonesborough.
- 16:21Speaker 3: And then you go and you go even past fifteen
- 16:24Speaker 3: years though, is you do have the elite play caller,
- 16:28Speaker 3: the elite football mind in Spurrier.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Sure, we get We'll give him. We'll give him that.
- 16:33Speaker 1: If you were grading back then he would have graded
- 16:36Speaker 1: oh through through the roof, okay.
- 16:37Speaker 3: Right, I mean I doubt, I doubt there is anybody
- 16:44Speaker 3: that I knew that could take twenty two guys and
- 16:49Speaker 3: win a football game, just any random twenty two guys
- 16:53Speaker 3: and just go out and play football, you know, just
- 16:55Speaker 3: just his mind in terms of being able to manage
- 16:59Speaker 3: the game, the offense, it's the flow of the game, everything.
- 17:02Speaker 3: I don't think there was anybody like him.
- 17:05Speaker 1: There's a lot of similarities between Spurrier and Lane Kiffin.
- 17:09Speaker 3: There there is actually I always I always thought one
- 17:12Speaker 3: of the biggest similarity to the Spurrier in terms of
- 17:15Speaker 3: just give me, just give me a play card.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Leach is Leech. Yeah, you know it is.
- 17:20Speaker 3: You know, drive around on the golf cart for six
- 17:23Speaker 3: days and then Saturday, show up, go coach a game, win.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Kick your tail, Yeah exactly. Just give me eleven guys
- 17:30Speaker 1: and I'll I'll beat you.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Just just absolutely amazing.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Okay, one more. Chiswick was not an elite DMC and
- 17:37Speaker 1: he wanted at Auburn.
- 17:38Speaker 3: Right and anything, and then less miles. Oh my gosh,
- 17:41Speaker 3: less miles. He wasn't an elite play caller. No, he
- 17:45Speaker 3: was an offensive line coach who played under both Shimbeckler.
- 17:48Speaker 3: All right, so let's go through this list for our listeners.
- 17:51Speaker 3: We are the Out of Bounds Show.
- 17:52Speaker 1: We're powered by Total Transportation of Mississippi, offering nationwide and
- 17:57Speaker 1: regional routes. Go ahead and apply to day to an
- 18:01Speaker 1: outstanding company tootal ms dot com Bo Bounds Day Bar
- 18:05Speaker 1: two Live from Dancing Rabbit Golf Club on the property
- 18:08Speaker 1: of Pearl River Resort. We're throwing our own SEC Media
- 18:12Speaker 1: Days party in honor of Lane Kiffin's Media Days. Let's
- 18:16Speaker 1: go and we're probably even missing more. But right now,
- 18:19Speaker 1: these are non elite OC or DC play callers that
- 18:22Speaker 1: have won national championships in the two thousands. Dabo Signetti,
- 18:27Speaker 1: Saban ed o'srun, Jim Tressel, Urban Meyer, jimbo Fisher, gene
- 18:33Speaker 1: Chiswick and as bar two just said less miles.
- 18:37Speaker 3: Right, So, and then you look at your current top
- 18:39Speaker 3: twenty five, look at your contenders right now. Okay, yeah,
- 18:43Speaker 3: in Indiana still there right right, Mario is just an
- 18:46Speaker 3: offensive line coach.
- 18:47Speaker 2: That's right. He started at FIU, he was, That's a
- 18:49Speaker 2: great point.
- 18:50Speaker 1: He was at FIU, which is a brutal job. And
- 18:55Speaker 1: think about that. Mario's never been a play caller, but
- 18:58Speaker 1: he has morphed in to one hell of the head
- 19:01Speaker 1: coach and he's done a great job. And he got
- 19:04Speaker 1: into the national championship game.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Right.
- 19:06Speaker 1: That's a big deal. It's a huge It's an even
- 19:08Speaker 1: bigger deal now that you have to win more games
- 19:11Speaker 1: to get there.
- 19:12Speaker 3: Yeah, you gotta win. You got to play fifteen to
- 19:14Speaker 3: get there, you know. And and you know Indiana, I
- 19:17Speaker 3: mean they won sixteen games last year. Miami played sixteen
- 19:20Speaker 3: games thirteen and three, you know, and you look at
- 19:23Speaker 3: Texas Tech top ten, Joey Maguire of the high school
- 19:26Speaker 3: coach right, Elko, really good defensive coordinator, Caitlin de Boor,
- 19:33Speaker 3: he wasn't a great offense or defensive coordinator, you know,
- 19:36Speaker 3: and you're kind of good.
- 19:36Speaker 1: He's been up he went Duboor started like at the
- 19:41Speaker 1: lowest of the low too. Yeah, he's been down in
- 19:44Speaker 1: the you know, D three forty thousand dollars a year
- 19:47Speaker 1: budget school where I'm you know, making sure that the
- 19:50Speaker 1: field of mowing the grass.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Yeah, you're you're also doing that, right, And so.
- 19:55Speaker 1: We're not being we're not embellishing that. No, I mean
- 19:58Speaker 1: Signetti was doing the same thing at Indiana PA.
- 20:02Speaker 3: What right, you know, and you and you go and
- 20:04Speaker 3: you go through your SEC coaches, okay, right, just because
- 20:07Speaker 3: I mean it, I mean, that's our focus here andreys.
- 20:10Speaker 3: But you look at your top twenty five right now,
- 20:12Speaker 3: and it's just a smattering of where guys came from.
- 20:14Speaker 3: But you you got Georgie, got Kirby right, obviously the
- 20:18Speaker 3: elite DC to start with. But you got Shane Beemer,
- 20:22Speaker 3: special teams coordinator. He was never a play called or
- 20:25Speaker 3: he wasn't late Pete Golding Now Pete is. I would
- 20:29Speaker 3: put him right on the border of elite. Okay, border
- 20:31Speaker 3: of elite, Yeah he is. I don't have his grade
- 20:34Speaker 3: right in front of me. But he's done it at
- 20:35Speaker 3: two places, okay, and he's done it really really well,
- 20:39Speaker 3: So so he's borderline there. I would say Pete Golding
- 20:41Speaker 3: and Mike Elcho as PC's very very similar, got it, Brentville.
- 20:46Speaker 1: That's a good you kind of profile that that's a
- 20:48Speaker 1: good comp.
- 20:50Speaker 2: For for Pete.
- 20:54Speaker 3: Pete hasn't coach the head you know, it hasn't been
- 20:56Speaker 3: a head coach yet for regular season, right, so we
- 20:58Speaker 3: don't have those comparables. But as a d C, both
- 21:01Speaker 3: of them were excellent over their careers of multiple places.
- 21:05Speaker 3: You know, we would well as as as a head coach,
- 21:07Speaker 3: we would both take a Mike Elko or a Pete
- 21:10Speaker 3: Golding as our DC anywhere. Sure, right, you know venables
- 21:15Speaker 3: super elite DC woo wow, right, hypel elite OC, Sarkesian
- 21:21Speaker 3: elite OC, you know, and but then some of the
- 21:25Speaker 3: newer guys.
- 21:26Speaker 1: He's not elite on either side, but he has done
- 21:29Speaker 1: a magnificent job at Troy and Tulane exactly right.
- 21:33Speaker 3: And then but you look at your newer hires Gaulish
- 21:36Speaker 3: yet hasn't been eleaded at anything. No, two bad years
- 21:39Speaker 3: as a play caller and one good one last year. Right,
- 21:43Speaker 3: you know, Silverfield hasn't.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Been elite at anything, by the way, our listener silverfielders.
- 21:49Speaker 3: At Arkanukansas now and I and I don't think where
- 21:54Speaker 3: where did drink? Wasn't an an elite play caller to start?
- 21:59Speaker 3: He had a great run it out state. So you know,
- 22:02Speaker 3: these guys come from all sorts of walks of life,
- 22:06Speaker 3: and there's no pattern or necessarily rhyme or reason.
- 22:11Speaker 2: You just never know. It's just sometimes you just get
- 22:13Speaker 2: like you're said day right.
- 22:15Speaker 3: And that's one of the beauties of college football, though,
- 22:17Speaker 3: is the unknown, the hope that your guy is the
- 22:21Speaker 3: guy this year, and then he's not, and we start over,
- 22:25Speaker 3: and then we hope your guy is the guy next year.
- 22:27Speaker 1: It's kind of like NFL and quarterbacks. You have to
- 22:29Speaker 1: constantly if you don't get the head coach position right
- 22:32Speaker 1: in college football or the quarterback position.
- 22:34Speaker 2: In NFL, it's a non starter. It's over.
- 22:38Speaker 1: It's over, right, Yeah, So look at the Cleveland Browns
- 22:41Speaker 1: the last twenty five years. Yeah, Holy Mary ol Zeph
- 22:44Speaker 1: bar two real quick, if you had to pick, if
- 22:48Speaker 1: you had to pick right now, Offensive Coordinator, John David Baker,
- 22:51Speaker 1: Jeff Levy.
- 22:52Speaker 2: John David Baker.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Okay, all right, So if bar two was picking an
- 22:57Speaker 1: OC today and he had to pick between John Dayavid
- 23:00Speaker 1: Baker and Jeff Levy, he would pick John David Baker.
- 23:03Speaker 1: And we believe that Pete Golding went to a stylist.
- 23:06Speaker 1: We're not sure where Oxford. Whatever this man is, I mean,
- 23:11Speaker 1: he is, he looks he almost looks more Raymond James
- 23:16Speaker 1: than Delta State. We are the out of Bound Show
- 23:19Speaker 1: ESPN one oh five nine the Zone. We are powered
- 23:23Speaker 1: by total transportation of Mississippi apply today nationwide and regional routes.
