- 0:00Hello everyone, and welcome in. And boy, do we have a special
- 0:03show for you today. There he is, the great Rodney
- 0:07Combs. And Rodney, how are you doing,
- 0:10my friend? Man, I'm doing great and getting
- 0:12to do this with you. This is just special, very
- 0:16special for me. We've been friends for a long,
- 0:18long time, all of the Wallace family.
- 0:21Well, I appreciate you, Rodney. All right, everybody.
- 0:24Today's quick little show is about Rodney's company, ADC
- 0:30American Die Cast Company. But before we do that, we got to
- 0:34remind you all, not just is Rodney Combs a NASCAR driver,
- 0:39but you're looking at one of the greatest dirt Super Late Model
- 0:43racers of all time, the 198019911992 Hillbilly 100
- 0:50winner. And not just that, the great
- 0:53Rodney Combs is in the National Dirt Late Mall Hall of Fame,
- 0:56inducted in 2001. Rodney, we're going to do
- 0:59another show on you another day. Your accomplishments, I'm
- 1:03getting goosebumps. Your accomplishments are unreal.
- 1:06But tell me what you're doing nowadays with ADC.
- 1:10Well Kenny, it's a the greatest thing I've been involved with.
- 1:14In 2002, Edge Free and myself got together and wanted to come
- 1:19up with die cast at the short track guys all over the country,
- 1:23including New New Mexico, Canada, Australia, everywhere.
- 1:29And we hit a little modified back then was a little IMCA car.
- 1:34Now they've got such beautiful bodies.
- 1:36They look like late models or just a trickish looking thing
- 1:40that there is. And I think you might have the
- 1:43first one prototype that we're going to be doing on Kenny
- 1:47Wallace. Yes.
- 1:48And Rodney, thank you. Yeah, and we hope There it is.
- 1:52There it is. That's the new mod from American
- 1:55Die Cast that we've worked very hard on to get that thing to
- 1:59look like what they do now with the chassis, the body, the side
- 2:03of it, the nose and all totally redone.
- 2:07And a lot of a lot of work, a lot of time, lot of money.
- 2:10And we just can't wait to get them out across the country.
- 2:14And we'll be, you know, later on letting people know when they're
- 2:19going to be available. Mr. Kenny Wallace there will
- 2:21have the very first one and then it'll be a lot of other guys, a
- 2:25lot of late model guys has got them and and even I mean the
- 2:29mods is everywhere. They will actually be.
- 2:32I don't think we'll have that one done, but Kenny might have
- 2:35it there at the Dome. And but far as ADC, we did so
- 2:40much with the late models that you see here.
- 2:43These is this very special to us and these is all the big dolls
- 2:47that wins all the all the races and but the modified's our main
- 2:52thing and just, you know, can't wait to, you know, to be able to
- 2:57get it out to everybody. And it's just such a project
- 3:01that we went through. Alex worked very hard with China
- 3:04to make this thing happen and it just it just turned out so nice.
- 3:09And my first thing, I wanted Kenny Wallace to have the first
- 3:13one. And you love your modified dirt
- 3:16racing, even though you're a retired guy.
- 3:19And one other thing I love that hat, my buddy Blue, you know?
- 3:24Hot shoe, my buddy baby. Yeah.
- 3:26Hot shoe. Gary Blue.
- 3:28Hey, let me. I don't know how many years old
- 3:29this is, you know, I don't know how many years old that hat is.
- 3:33You. Know got the 36 on it back
- 3:35there. Got the 36 on it.
- 3:37Yeah. I mean, far, you know, far as
- 3:40everything we done and wanting this thing to, you know, it's
- 3:44done in America, it's done in Valencia, PA and so all the
- 3:49finished work is done there. And you know, we're just proud
- 3:53of our company and our 6-7 that all makes this happen.
- 3:57And the girls puts everything together, put some decals on
- 4:02them. Kathy takes care of everything
- 4:03from the shipping, everything. You know Katie, Katie's a head
- 4:07dog. Ed's laid, laid back off of it
- 4:09she takes. Care of it Let me interrupt you.
- 4:11When I rub my fingers on this beautiful metal die cast, I
- 4:15don't feel decals and I I mean this is quality stuff like like
- 4:20when I'm rubbing right here. God, this is high quality all
- 4:26metal. Yeah, all metal, all this
- 4:29chassis, all the rear end, all the bars.
- 4:31It's just like they race it, you know, it's, it's not just a,
- 4:34it's not just a toy. It's a true die cast.
- 4:36It's first class. And that's how our company runs.
- 4:39We want it to be 110% and they are very particular on getting
- 4:44them things to be 110%. And that thing's just, it's just
- 4:48badass. I mean, we were so happy to
- 4:50finally get that thing in the building, you know?
- 4:53So the mods are the largest car, even though they're the 3rd or
- 4:574th, the vision down, the UMP modifieds all the modifieds,
- 5:02Rodney, They are the largest car count.
- 5:05This car right here is the largest car count of race car in
- 5:08America. I'm sure your company, ADC,
- 5:12American die cast company, I'm sure you took that into
- 5:15consideration. Oh, yeah, that, that's why when
- 5:18we, when we first did O3O4, we had the little IMCA cars and the
- 5:22late models and that the little, you know, modified basically
- 5:28almost outsold. Damn.
- 5:29And now Kenny, I think there's more, you know, out of the
- 5:33modified all over the country more than late models because
- 5:37they're very little bit easier to take care of, little bit
- 5:42cheaper to race. And the Late Models has got
- 5:45very, very high tech and a ton of money to race One.
- 5:50These little things you can put on that little open trailer
- 5:52pickup truck, go down the road and win race for $5000 or three,
- 5:57you know? Yep.
- 6:00I There we go. Oh, you.
- 6:01Put them on your shelf, right, everybody?
- 6:03We put them on our shelves just like.
- 6:04They're there it is. OK, Rodney.
- 6:07We can't wait for the people to get them and put them on their
- 6:09shelf. You know they'll be available
- 6:11shortly. Right.
- 6:12So your people wanted me to, wanted everybody to know,
- 6:15listen, these are not mass produced toys.
- 6:18They're authentic, collectible scale race cars built by the
- 6:22people who love racing as much as the fans who collect them.
- 6:26So let's wrap it up. Rodney, this is a quick little
- 6:29reminder. Christmas is around the corner.
- 6:32When will the modifieds be out? If if people want those late
- 6:35models right there, how do we work?
- 6:38They can. Start getting, you know, they
- 6:39can start getting to ADC and get, you know, get get with us
- 6:44get maybe their favorite driver, maybe their drivers can know
- 6:48this is happening. They can get a hold of us to get
- 6:51in line, you know, because it's going to be a big line and I
- 6:54don't want to say right now it will be December, but I'm sure
- 6:58it's going to be January at the latest.
- 7:00These things will start flying out the out of the shop.
- 7:04OK, everybody look right here, right there, There it is.
- 7:07American Die Cast company.com. Check it out and order what you
- 7:12want at americandiecastcompany.com.
- 7:17And yeah, all right, there is the great Rodney Combs.
- 7:20If everybody wants to know what Rodney's doing, that's what he's
- 7:22doing. And we'll do an in depth
- 7:26celebration of your career at a later date.
- 7:28But thank you so much my friend. No, man, I you don't know how
- 7:31much we appreciate it at ADC and myself.
- 7:34You know, like say longtime friends and sometimes you don't
- 7:37burn bridges. You got friends.
- 7:39And I know the whole Wallace family.
- 7:41I raced with everyone of them and it was the greatest.
- 7:43I don't think any of us ever got together with all the we did in
- 7:4740 something years. Love you, Rodney.
- 7:50All right? Love you.
- 7:51Buddy. Until the next whatever we do
- 7:54next, we'll see you next time, all.
- 7:56Right, man, I'll be glad to. I'll be waiting.
- 7:58Take care, everybody. Thanks.
