- 0:01Speaker 1: Don't forget our prayer. Hey everybody, it's Wally Bates. Welcome
- 0:05Speaker 1: back to Rideshare Rewild. I picked up Samantha and her
- 0:10Speaker 1: friend almost immediately, like I could tell. This is going
- 0:14Speaker 1: to be a good ride. Good spirit, I can just
- 0:16Speaker 1: feel it. And they both were from Africa. Samantha's friend
- 0:20Speaker 1: is a physician from South Africa who was visiting her.
- 0:24Speaker 1: And Samantha, she was pregnant with her first son. So naturally,
- 0:28Speaker 1: we talked about everything in the world. Samantha currently works
- 0:33Speaker 1: in child care, although she has a degree in geology.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Her friend told me about being a physician and in Africa.
- 0:41Speaker 1: We talked about Africa and America. Of course, work, family,
- 0:46Speaker 1: and of course, that bait. Eventually, as usually everything in
- 0:51Speaker 1: my car does, the conversation turned towards faith. They're both Christians.
- 0:57Speaker 1: So I asked them, what was it like practicing Christian
- 1:00Speaker 1: faith here in the United States compared to Africa? And dude,
- 1:05Speaker 1: that opened up a whole other conversation. That's when I
- 1:08Speaker 1: told them about rideshare revival and these stories. I explained
- 1:12Speaker 1: that driving Uber is more than just something I do.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Somewhere along the way, this car became part of my ministry.
- 1:21Speaker 1: I told them about some of the conversations, some of
- 1:24Speaker 1: the people that God sends me, and the prayers from
- 1:26Speaker 1: the road. And somewhere in all that, I told them
- 1:30Speaker 1: to get ready because we're going to pray before you
- 1:32Speaker 1: get out of this car. And they were absolutely excited
- 1:35Speaker 1: and good with that. So we just kept talking. And
- 1:38Speaker 1: we're getting close to our destination. And Samantha apparently thought
- 1:42Speaker 1: I missed something. I hadn't. She looked at me and said, hey,
- 1:46Speaker 1: don't forget about our prayer. And I said, oh, man,
- 1:50Speaker 1: I love that. I won't, I said. So before we
- 1:53Speaker 1: got out, we prayed. I prayed for Samantha. for her health, pregnancy,
- 1:59Speaker 1: for her safety and health of that little boy, for
- 2:02Speaker 1: her family, and for God's hand to be on the
- 2:05Speaker 1: child's life. While I was praying, I said something about
- 2:09Speaker 1: that little boy. Ministry. I don't know.
- 2:13Speaker 2: I don't know what it means, but I don't know
- 2:16Speaker 2: what God has planned for that hamster. But I prayed
- 2:20Speaker 2: for God to use his life in his kingdom. And
- 2:24Speaker 2: of course, I made a suggestion. Since he was a boy,
- 2:28Speaker 2: you could always name him Wally.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Of course, they laughed. I was serious. Not really. When
- 2:34Speaker 1: the prayer was over, something happened that I wasn't expecting.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Samantha's friend, the physician, asked if she could give me
- 2:40Speaker 1: a little bit of money towards my ministry, towards Rideshare Revival.
- 2:45Speaker 1: And I was really incredibly sweet. I don't do this
- 2:48Speaker 1: for donations. I do it because I believe God puts
- 2:52Speaker 1: people in my car for a reason. But her offer
- 2:55Speaker 1: meant something to me. Because maybe she saw what I
- 2:58Speaker 1: was even saying. This isn't just a ride. And Samantha
- 3:02Speaker 1: certainly understood that. She didn't want to reach her destination
- 3:06Speaker 1: without knowing what we said. Don't forget about her prayer.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Don't worry, Samantha. I got you. I won't forget it.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Rideshare Revival. There's hope at every turn. These are my
