Researchers developed CaMVIA-3D, a deep-learning tool to analyze heart tissue. By studying human and pig models of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, they found that muscle thickening is driven by cardiomyocyte hypertrophy and fibrosis, linking specific gene expression to cell remodeling.
