- 0:05Speaker 1: We've got another one, Gabe, and we need you to
- 0:09Speaker 1: give some advice.
- 0:11Speaker 2: I at these this is my favorite part of the morning. Here,
- 0:14Speaker 2: all right, Am I the problem?
- 0:15Speaker 1: We had Jenny right into us, and I'm just gonna
- 0:19Speaker 1: get right to it.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Hi, Gabe, Hi Anjee.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Need your help because I can't tell if I'm the problem.
- 0:24Speaker 3: That's what we're here for.
- 0:26Speaker 1: My boyfriend and I have been together for a year
- 0:28Speaker 1: and he wants me to meet his siblings who live
- 0:31Speaker 1: out of town when they visit because he and his
- 0:34Speaker 1: sister are.
- 0:34Speaker 3: Having a joint birthday.
- 0:36Speaker 1: But the birthday plan is a big karaoke night and
- 0:39Speaker 1: I hate karaoke. I think it's boring, and I don't drink,
- 0:44Speaker 1: so it's not like I can get drunk to try
- 0:46Speaker 1: and find amusement. I told I told my boyfriend I
- 0:50Speaker 1: could just meet them another time. He didn't say he
- 0:54Speaker 1: was mad, but he's clearly disappointed.
- 0:57Speaker 3: I don't see the big deal.
- 0:58Speaker 1: It's not like I don't ever want to meet them,
- 1:00Speaker 1: but karaoke is not my scene.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Can't I just meet them another time? Help me out?
- 1:05Speaker 2: Guys, one thousand percent? You can just meet them another time?
- 1:09Speaker 2: Who cares why you're not?
- 1:11Speaker 4: Yeah? She's not dating his siblings.
- 1:14Speaker 2: She's gonna see them three times a year, Thanksgiving, Christmas,
- 1:18Speaker 2: and I don't know Saint Patrick's day here in my family.
- 1:21Speaker 4: But yeah, you.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Can meet the siblings some other time. It really isn't
- 1:26Speaker 2: that big of a deal. Yeah, he can be bummed,
- 1:28Speaker 2: but grow up.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Wow, I am on the opposite.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Unsurprisingly, I feel like you and I never align on
- 1:36Speaker 1: these things. I think that Jenny is the problem, and
- 1:40Speaker 1: I don't think I think it's a matter of Jenny.
- 1:45Speaker 1: I don't think is that invested in her relationship with
- 1:47Speaker 1: her boyfriend really in And yeah, I don't think they've
- 1:51Speaker 1: been together for a year and so time. Except for
- 1:56Speaker 1: if she doesn't want to meet the siblings, then I
- 1:59Speaker 1: don't think she's invested.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Because I get that she doesn't like karaoke, right, I
- 2:04Speaker 3: understand that.
- 2:05Speaker 1: I mean I don't personally I live for karaoke, but
- 2:07Speaker 1: I get that it's not her scene. The thing is,
- 2:10Speaker 1: when you're in love with someone, when you're invested with someone,
- 2:14Speaker 1: there's there are some things where it's like, Okay, I
- 2:16Speaker 1: don't feel like doing that, but I'll suck it up
- 2:18Speaker 1: and I'll do it because I love my partner.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Well, yeah, siblings though, don't that ranking system isn't that high?
- 2:25Speaker 4: Yeah? I think that that.
- 2:27Speaker 2: I mean, gonna suck it up to meet your boyfriend's brother,
- 2:30Speaker 2: what doesn't mean him at lunch a something else.
- 2:33Speaker 3: But they live out of town, that's the other things.
- 2:36Speaker 3: They live out of town.
- 2:37Speaker 1: So how often is the opportunity gonna come up to
- 2:40Speaker 1: meet them? I think, Jenny, and you seem like a
- 2:43Speaker 1: nice girl, but I think that the issue is that
- 2:46Speaker 1: you're not that invested because it like, I think maybe
- 2:49Speaker 1: there's a bigger problem because if you were, you would
- 2:52Speaker 1: suck it up and show up for half an hour
- 2:55Speaker 1: to karaoke and just meet your boyfriend's siblings.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Do we know what siblings a boyfriend has if it's
- 3:01Speaker 2: a gentleman, Well, obviously it's a gentleman. It's a boyfriend,
- 3:04Speaker 2: and he has nothing but sisters. She might want to
- 3:07Speaker 2: play this a little bit different.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Okay, she says right here that his sister and him
- 3:11Speaker 1: are having a joint birthday party, so it's one sister,
- 3:15Speaker 1: so it's siblings.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Yeah, but and they're visiting.
- 3:18Speaker 1: And then specifically because he and one of the sisters
- 3:21Speaker 1: has a shared birthday, you still don't think that she
- 3:26Speaker 1: should meet them at karaoke.
- 3:27Speaker 4: Don't meet them on a random Wednesday.
- 3:30Speaker 3: They don't live in town.
- 3:32Speaker 4: Gabe, make a sacrifice on a Wednesday.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, Gabe.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Okay, Well, Gabe and I are on opposite sides of
- 3:39Speaker 1: the fence, so we need your help. Seven oh one
- 3:42Speaker 1: two eight h one nine eight seven. Is Jenny the
- 3:45Speaker 1: problem for not wanting to meet her boyfriend's siblings at
- 3:49Speaker 1: karaoke night because she hates karaoke? And if you have
- 3:59Speaker 1: a little VICI you want to share with us, give
- 4:01Speaker 1: us a call seven on one too, eight oh one,
- 4:03Speaker 1: nine eight seven. We want to celebrate your little victories
- 4:06Speaker 1: with you. My little victory yesterday game is that I
- 4:11Speaker 1: had a sit down dinner at a thie restaurant and
- 4:14Speaker 1: that was glorious. I was so angry, like I had
- 4:20Speaker 1: not eaten a real meal all day, and then it
- 4:23Speaker 1: got to be like seven thirty and I sat down
- 4:27Speaker 1: at a tie restaurant and just stuffed myself with drunken noodles.
- 4:31Speaker 3: It was magical.
- 4:32Speaker 2: I find it hilarious that both of our little victories
- 4:35Speaker 2: are surrounded by food.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Sometimes that's like the most important thing of the day.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Why, what's yours game.
- 4:44Speaker 2: So yesterday my wife was just having a day and
- 4:47Speaker 2: when I got home, she had texted me and she
- 4:50Speaker 2: was like, is there any way we can just like
- 4:52Speaker 2: get all of garden and sit down and do nothing
- 4:56Speaker 2: for like an evening?
- 4:57Speaker 3: What a beautiful text?
- 4:59Speaker 2: Yeah, right, well, and so of course what do we do?
- 5:02Speaker 2: We go grab ol of garden, sit down and basically
- 5:05Speaker 2: do nothing. And we watched the last episode, last two
- 5:07Speaker 2: episodes or whatever of this show we've been watching. Now
- 5:10Speaker 2: we finished, So it is a very who hum evening.
- 5:12Speaker 2: But I have not had olive garden free plug by
- 5:16Speaker 2: the way, in so long.
- 5:18Speaker 1: So fire I cannot get enough of their breadsticks. Ever,
- 5:23Speaker 1: they've had a choke hold on me since childhood.
- 5:26Speaker 4: Exactly right. It's not about the money. Money, money.
- 5:34Speaker 2: There's a recent story making rounds on the internet where
- 5:38Speaker 2: people are discussing is it not necessarily moral to be
- 5:45Speaker 2: filthy rich?
- 5:46Speaker 4: We're talking billionaires.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Should the world just put a.
- 5:52Speaker 4: A cap on a bank account? Right?
- 5:55Speaker 2: If you make nine hundred ninety nine million, nine hundred
- 5:59Speaker 2: ninety nine thousand, nine and ninety you know what I'm saying, dollars,
- 6:02Speaker 2: should you just like get a check mark above your head?
- 6:06Speaker 2: And walk around with it saying, hey, you want it life.
- 6:09Speaker 2: You did it all right, you maxed out how much
- 6:12Speaker 2: money you can have. Some people just think that being
- 6:15Speaker 2: filthy rich is a bit immoral, which I can kind
- 6:20Speaker 2: of understand, Like we does Jeff Bezos, need you know
- 6:24Speaker 2: the five hundred billion dollars or whatever?
- 6:26Speaker 4: Right obvious?
- 6:27Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a lot of argument that can be made.
- 6:30Speaker 1: But you know what, that's not fun.
- 6:32Speaker 4: So that's not what we're here for now.
- 6:34Speaker 1: We are going to flip it. We're gonna do the
- 6:36Speaker 1: one eighty. If you had a billion dollars?
- 6:39Speaker 3: What would you do with it?
- 6:40Speaker 1: I don't want to hear anything philanthropic or donations or
- 6:43Speaker 1: paying off bills what.
- 6:45Speaker 4: Yeah, we know you would do that.
- 6:47Speaker 1: You would do that, you'd have enough money to do that. Yeah,
- 6:49Speaker 1: But what are the selfish things that you would do
- 6:53Speaker 1: with a billion dollars? That's what I want to hear
- 6:56Speaker 1: because I want some ideas. I in my head, I
- 6:59Speaker 1: win a billion somehow seven on one two eight zho
- 7:02Speaker 1: one nine eight seven. What are you doing with a
- 7:04Speaker 1: billion dollars? And that has nothing to do with being
- 7:08Speaker 1: a good person exactly.
- 7:11Speaker 2: We do have Chad on the phone here this morning, Chad,
- 7:14Speaker 2: what would you do with a billion dollars?
- 7:15Speaker 5: Man?
- 7:16Speaker 6: I would pay all my bills, obviously, but then I
- 7:18Speaker 6: would just go and pay all my family and friends bills,
- 7:21Speaker 6: and I would donate a huge chunk of it too.
- 7:23Speaker 6: To have that much wealth and not share it with others,
- 7:26Speaker 6: it's just super selfish.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, point, yes, but you misunderstood the assignment.
- 7:32Speaker 3: We want to hear the selfish thing.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Yes, I want to know if you would get a
- 7:35Speaker 2: pool fill it with jello or Nickels or whatever just
- 7:41Speaker 2: because you can't.
- 7:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:43Speaker 1: We asked this question on Facebook. We had some great responses.
- 7:46Speaker 1: This is Eryl, this is the dopest thing I've ever heard.
- 7:50Speaker 1: I would buy kids and grandkids all the same make, model,
- 7:54Speaker 1: color car, color vehicle for all.
- 7:57Speaker 3: Ten of us, just like matching T shirt.
- 8:00Speaker 1: It's at a family gathering, we all drive up in
- 8:03Speaker 1: the same vehicles.
- 8:05Speaker 3: This is the energy that I vibe with.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Okay, yes, Cheryl, I love this ultimate flex. You have
- 8:10Speaker 2: ten people rolling up in all matching range rovers.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Yeah, what's the most expensive car? I love that energy.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Cheryl Crystal said, buy a farm, build a house, adopt
- 8:22Speaker 1: all the pitbulls in the FM surrounding areas. I love
- 8:25Speaker 1: it like a rich, crazy cat lady, but a crazy
- 8:28Speaker 1: pitbull lady.
- 8:29Speaker 2: I'm very into this. Yes, Crystal, I think that's wonderful.
- 8:33Speaker 4: Here.
- 8:33Speaker 2: This was also something that I did not fact checks.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Let me preface that I did not fact check Alex here,
- 8:39Speaker 2: but it sounds like he knows what he's talking about,
- 8:42Speaker 2: so I'm gonna go with it, okay. Alex said, most
- 8:45Speaker 2: people don't think big enough. It's hard to even imagine
- 8:49Speaker 2: what one billion dollars is. Essentially, if you put some
- 8:53Speaker 2: in the bank with a percentage of a return, whatever, whatever,
- 8:58Speaker 2: you could spend one hundred thousand dollars a day and
- 9:01Speaker 2: you would never worry about going broke. So what he
- 9:04Speaker 2: wants to do is the type of energy we're talking about.
- 9:07Speaker 2: He wants to buy a massive golf resort that his
- 9:10Speaker 2: friend's family and whoever can all just live on basically
- 9:14Speaker 2: for free, and he gets to like pay him dividends.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Salgy, I like, Hey, all your friends so they can
- 9:22Speaker 1: just hang out with you on the golf course.
- 9:24Speaker 3: Gabe, I think you should befriend this man.
- 9:25Speaker 4: Alex, guise me call it seven oh one zero.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Did you hear about this cargo ship called the Morning
- 9:35Speaker 2: I believe it's meet us, No, the Morning meet us.
- 9:40Speaker 2: This cargo ship was carrying about three thousand vehicles. It
- 9:44Speaker 2: caught on fire early June here. All of the crew
- 9:48Speaker 2: members were able to get out, they were fine, they
- 9:50Speaker 2: were safe, There were no injuries. But the ship did
- 9:54Speaker 2: capsize and it sank just a few days ago here
- 9:59Speaker 2: all three thousand vehicles gone, costing millions of dollars.
- 10:03Speaker 3: That's terrible.
- 10:06Speaker 1: And so what people like had bought cars and it's like, ooh, sorry, no,
- 10:11Speaker 1: you know.
- 10:11Speaker 4: That month long wait, yeah, it would probably be like
- 10:13Speaker 4: six months.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Now, that's awful.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Now Here in the Midwest. I grew up a Minnesota kid.
- 10:20Speaker 6: Uh.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Here in the Midwest, it's not always the ocean, right
- 10:24Speaker 2: that gets us here.
- 10:25Speaker 4: What gets us here is that dang lake.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Oh that's right, that dang river, that dang stream, whatever
- 10:33Speaker 2: it may be. So I want to know this morning, Well,
- 10:35Speaker 2: hopefully you haven't lost three thousand vehicles. Could you imagine
- 10:45Speaker 2: what have you lost in a you know, body of
- 10:49Speaker 2: water or whatever. You were you know, at your cabin
- 10:52Speaker 2: in the d l area, the Detroit Lakes area, and
- 10:55Speaker 2: you know what the lake one zero? Okay, seven oh
- 10:58Speaker 2: one two eight zero eight seven. Have you ever lost
- 11:02Speaker 2: a yet?
- 11:03Speaker 6: No?
- 11:03Speaker 3: I have it, nothing of consequence.
- 11:05Speaker 1: I think like a bracelet or something, but sure, I'm
- 11:08Speaker 1: not wearing fancy bracelets.
- 11:10Speaker 3: It was like a beaded one.
- 11:12Speaker 2: It is amazing how many like not super nice but
- 11:16Speaker 2: decent pair of sunglasses I have lost in the Mississippi River.
- 11:21Speaker 4: It is incredible.
- 11:23Speaker 2: And you know what's funny, the free ones that I
- 11:25Speaker 2: might find in the prize closet here. Yeah, at big
- 11:28Speaker 2: ninety eight point seven, I could drop those in the
- 11:31Speaker 2: Mississippi River. I swear to goodness they would jump back
- 11:35Speaker 2: out and land on my face.
- 11:36Speaker 4: That's one.
- 11:38Speaker 1: You know what this makes me think of is when
- 11:40Speaker 1: Kim Kardashian on that episode, I mean the infamous episode
- 11:44Speaker 1: where she lost her diamond earring in the ocean, and
- 11:48Speaker 1: then Courtney Kardashian was like, Kim, people are dying right.
- 11:53Speaker 2: We do have Paul on the phone, Paul, what have
- 11:55Speaker 2: you lost in some water?
- 11:57Speaker 6: I dropped my passport in the ocean while I was
- 11:59Speaker 6: on vacation.
- 12:00Speaker 5: Thank god, my cousin jumped in and grabbed it before
- 12:02Speaker 5: he sank too far.
- 12:03Speaker 6: Save me a huge headache and probably save me from
- 12:06Speaker 6: being stranded in Greece.
- 12:07Speaker 1: All right, okay, well there are worse places to be
- 12:09Speaker 1: stranded than Greece.
- 12:11Speaker 3: But I feel you also cousin.
- 12:13Speaker 1: That's a Paul What that is the best cousin you
- 12:17Speaker 1: could ever have.
- 12:18Speaker 3: He jumped in.
- 12:20Speaker 4: How aren't you jumping in after your own passport? Well?
- 12:23Speaker 3: What if he can't swim?
- 12:24Speaker 4: That's true? Good point, All right, Miranda? What about you
- 12:29Speaker 4: flip flops?
- 12:29Speaker 5: One moment it was on my foot and then the
- 12:31Speaker 5: next it was floating away like it had better places
- 12:34Speaker 5: to be.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Gotta be one of the most relatable things in the
- 12:36Speaker 2: history of anybody who likes going to the cabin or
- 12:39Speaker 2: the lakes.
- 12:40Speaker 1: That's yeah, the flippy floppies, they do whatever they want.
- 12:42Speaker 1: That's why you can't wear those on a roller coaster either.
- 12:47Speaker 1: What is the craziest outfit you've ever seen in public?
- 12:52Speaker 1: Seven one two eight one nine eight seven Let us know,
- 12:55Speaker 1: because there was this woman who got kicked off of
- 12:58Speaker 1: a ride at Disney World for something she was wearing
- 13:02Speaker 1: a really apparently it was very inappropriate. It was this
- 13:06Speaker 1: woman named Nicole, and she said that during her visit,
- 13:09Speaker 1: she went to get on a ride and they were like, ooh,
- 13:11Speaker 1: you are improperly dressed and you need to go buy
- 13:15Speaker 1: a shirt to cover up. She was wearing leggings and
- 13:19Speaker 1: a sports bra. That was the outfit that was so
- 13:24Speaker 1: controversial that she said she got kicked out of.
- 13:29Speaker 3: The outfit or getting kicked out for.
- 13:31Speaker 4: That the outfit you can't be.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Could you give me the website so I could check
- 13:37Speaker 2: this outfit out there?
- 13:38Speaker 3: Oh okay, I see where we took this.
- 13:41Speaker 1: But yeah, So she said that she was just trying
- 13:44Speaker 1: to get on this ride and then suddenly they were like, oh, no,
- 13:46Speaker 1: you're improperly dressed.
- 13:47Speaker 3: Go buy a T shirt.
- 13:49Speaker 1: I think that was just Disney wanting some more money, Like, yes,
- 13:53Speaker 1: go buy a fifty dollars T shirt at the gift shop.
- 13:58Speaker 1: But like, i' of all the things, I feel like
- 14:01Speaker 1: I've seen crazier outfits out and about in the wild,
- 14:04Speaker 1: like at the grocery store even or even like if
- 14:07Speaker 1: you ever see like the people of Walmart that website, Yeah, yeah,
- 14:12Speaker 1: there are some crazy outfit that I didn't see anybody
- 14:14Speaker 1: getting kicked out for. Yeah, have you ever seen a
- 14:17Speaker 1: crazy outfit? What's the craziest oufit you've ever seen?
- 14:19Speaker 2: I've seen someone Now, it was for Halloween, so it's
- 14:22Speaker 2: hard to hate on it that much.
- 14:23Speaker 4: But I do know this person who for Halloween.
- 14:27Speaker 2: You know, it did the classic Oh I didn't get
- 14:29Speaker 2: an outfit way too late, YadA YadA, YadA. And basically,
- 14:34Speaker 2: I think the way he described it was he was
- 14:36Speaker 2: like going as Fred Flintstone. But all he did was
- 14:38Speaker 2: take a pillow sack and cut out some things for
- 14:41Speaker 2: his head and his arms to get through.
- 14:42Speaker 4: Yeah, that's all he had on.
- 14:47Speaker 3: That's not that bad.
- 14:48Speaker 2: It's not terrible, but I mean wearing a pillow sack,
- 14:50Speaker 2: there's not a whole lot of.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that's true.
- 14:53Speaker 1: There, like the breeze goes the wrong way and you're
- 14:55Speaker 1: seeing everything.
- 14:56Speaker 4: He's getting some cheap acy.
- 15:01Speaker 3: One nine eight seven.
- 15:03Speaker 1: What is the craziest outfit you've ever seen out in
- 15:06Speaker 1: the wild?
- 15:06Speaker 4: We do have Brent, Brent, what about you.
- 15:08Speaker 5: I once saw a man wearing nothing but one of
- 15:10Speaker 5: those borat Song bikinis. The thing is we weren't even
- 15:13Speaker 5: out of beach. He was just walking down the boulevard.
- 15:16Speaker 5: It was definitely a sight. Not much left to the imagination.
- 15:20Speaker 3: Oh, I bet that's incredible.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Yeah, that sounds like something you've seen in like Florida.
- 15:25Speaker 4: Well, yeah, yeah, all right, what about you, Jessica.
- 15:29Speaker 2: A man at the airport wearing nothing but a mesh.
- 15:32Speaker 5: Tank top, crocs and what I hope we're swim breeze,
- 15:35Speaker 5: no suit case, just vibes and a lot.
- 15:38Speaker 3: Of side that's so funny.
- 15:40Speaker 1: She ran into you at Hector internationally, Jessica, why didn't
- 15:44Speaker 1: you come?
- 15:44Speaker 4: Say hid.
- 15:52Speaker 2: There is a twelve year old kid who travels to
- 15:57Speaker 2: animal shelters to play music four dogs. He had noticed
- 16:03Speaker 2: that it had a calming effect on his own dog,
- 16:07Speaker 2: so he thought some other dogs might like it as well.
- 16:10Speaker 4: Take a listen as you can hear it quiets down
- 16:22Speaker 4: a little bit.
- 16:22Speaker 2: And there what makes this so special is he has
- 16:25Speaker 2: actually looped in other musicians and they have started a
- 16:29Speaker 2: charity called Wild Tunes. They now perform at nine different
- 16:34Speaker 2: animal shelters throughout the entire country, some on the East
- 16:38Speaker 2: coast in the Midwest, and they travel around calming down
- 16:41Speaker 2: shelter dogs with their love of music.
- 16:44Speaker 3: This is very sweet and why does it make me
- 16:46Speaker 3: want to cry?
- 16:47Speaker 2: Very very sweet And it's just such a nice thing
- 16:50Speaker 2: to do, especially at twelve years old. You're thinking, hey,
- 16:52Speaker 2: my dog likes this, but I don't know. I go
- 16:54Speaker 2: try to help out some other dogs. I think that's
- 16:56Speaker 2: just really, I don't know, just very sweet. Anything involving
- 16:59Speaker 2: dogs is probably gonna get so.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Anything involving kids with good hearts is always gonna get me.
- 17:04Speaker 4: That's right.
- 17:04Speaker 2: The world is full of nice people. If you can't
- 17:06Speaker 2: find one, you gotta be one.
