- 0:12SPEAKER_03: And here to talk about it more with you is your host, three.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: Welcome back to another episode of Life, Finance, and Real Estate with your girl Kirby the Realtor, where we talk about owning a piece of America, but we also talk about what it takes to own your decisions, your finances, your time, and ultimately your life.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: And today, guys, I want to talk about something that really made me think today.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: Well, actually, yesterday.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: And I started thinking, how much is trying to be everything to everybody actually costing us?
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: Because listen, when we hear the word broke, immediately we think about money, right?
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: But you can be broke in more ways than one.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: You can be financially broke, but you can also be time broke, energy broke, emotionally broke.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: Ask me.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: Ask me how I know.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: Well, I'll tell you.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: Because I've been there, right?
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: And sometimes you can have money in the bank and still completely feel depleted because everybody and everything has access to you.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: And maybe the reason you haven't been able to really build what you're supposed to build, and it's it's because you need another opportunity.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: It's not because you need the other opportunity, it's because you're just involved in too many things, right?
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: Now, I can share a story with with one of my mentors.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: They used to say, you know, I see you doing this, I see you doing that, but how much of that is actually benefiting you in your business, right?
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: And I had to be able to articulate how were me being a part of certain things benefit my my profession.
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: I had to be able to articulate that.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: Was I uncomfortable with the question?
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: Did I like the question?
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: No.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: Was I frustrated with the question?
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: Yes, I was.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: Because I'm like, why are they asking me this?
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: Or you know, honestly, why is it in their business?
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: But I had come to realize that it was actually just teaching me to self-evaluate to see if I would I was doing things that was actually helping me grow as a person.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: So, you know, maybe the question is, are you involved in too many things?
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: So today we're gonna talk about that because there comes a point where you've got to stop trying to be everything to everybody, okay?
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: Think about your life.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: Think about this.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: Who has access to you?
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: I want you to think about something.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: And I'm not just talking about who has your phone number, right?
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: But who has access to your time, your energy, your attention?
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: Who can call you and immediately change the direction of your entire day?
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: I need you to think about that.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: Who has access to your time, your energy, and your attention?
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: Who can call you and immediately change the direction of your day?
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: Because somewhere along the way, a lot of us started believing that being a good person meant always being available.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: Somebody calls, we pick the phone up right, like immediately, picking it up, texting back.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: Somebody needs something, we go right away.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: Somebody has a problem, we try to fix it, somebody needs a favor, we are the ones trying to figure out.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: And long before everybody else's priorities have become, it becomes your priority.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: Think about it.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: Think about their priorities.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: I always tell people, um, and I had to learn this, but your emergency is not my emergency, right?
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: Who has access to your time?
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: Then we get to the end of the day and we say, I didn't get anything done today.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: Does that sound familiar?
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: Think about it.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: Because I can tell you that there's a lot of times, and I'm still, y'all.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: This is called life and finance for reasons in real estate because even times where I'm actually dealing with things, I discuss because I feel like somebody else should know, right?
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: Or you should know that you're not alone.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: But like I literally said that not long ago.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: I didn't get anything done today.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: Yes, you did.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: You got a lot done today.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: I said, mm-hmm, you got a whole lot done.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: It it just wasn't anything you were supposed to be doing, right?
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: And that's different.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: And listen, I'm not telling anybody to stop helping people.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: Um I believe in helping people wholeheartedly.
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: I I built my business around people first and integrity always, but helping people and allowing people to consume you are two different things.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: There's a difference.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: There's a difference between being available and being accessible without boundaries.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: There's a difference between being available and being accessible without boundaries.
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: And some of us have trained people to believe, call me and I'll handle it, right?
- 6:30SPEAKER_00: Give it to me and I'll figure it out.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: And because you're capable, people keep giving us things.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: But here's something, y'all.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: Here's something I've had to learn.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: Just because you're capable of carrying something doesn't mean you're called, huh?
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: Called to carry it, right?
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: That's a word right there.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: You hear me?
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: Just because you're capable of carrying it, doesn't mean you're called to carry it.
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: Because capable people can get overloaded, overstimulated, right?
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: Not necessarily because people are intentionally taking advantage of them, but because everybody knows she'll get it done.
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: He'll figure it out.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: But who's telling what you need to get done?
- 7:13SPEAKER_00: And at some point, y'all, you got to learn that in o no is a complete business strategy.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: And sometimes, I ain't gonna lie, it's a life strategy.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: It's a life strategy.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: I find myself over and over telling people, just say no.
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: And I have to practice what I preach.
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: Just say no.
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: And you're not saying no because you're mean or that you don't care, but because you're clear in your communication.
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: No, I can't.
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: No, I'm unavailable.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: No, I don't have no.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: In oh, no.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: All caps, write it.
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: Put it on your mirror.
- 7:50SPEAKER_00: In oh, no.
- 7:51SPEAKER_00: Put it on your rearview mirror.
- 7:53SPEAKER_00: In oh no.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: Just learn to say no and be okay with it.
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: Now let's move into the finance portion of this because this is where the conversation really gets interesting, y'all.
- 8:05SPEAKER_00: We live in a culture that consistently tells us more, right?
- 8:10SPEAKER_00: Think about it: more, more income, more businesses, more streams of income, more clients, more investments, more opportunities, followers, more, more, more, more, more.
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: But here's the question: nobody asks, is more actually making more?
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: Because listen, sometimes more is making you less, right?
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: You're less focused, you're less profitable, you're less available, you're less effective, you're less peaceful.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: And sometimes you're trying to solve an income problem by adding something else when the real problem is that we haven't maximized what we already have.
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: Now I'm gonna I'm gonna let that sit right there.
- 8:51SPEAKER_00: Just think about it.
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: You got a business producing money, right?
- 8:56SPEAKER_00: But instead of improving that business to produce money, you start business B.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: And before business B is functioning properly, here comes business C.
- 9:10SPEAKER_00: And I can tell you this because I have A, B, and C.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 9:17SPEAKER_00: And I can tell you that I've experienced everything I just said.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: Instead of improving business A, you started business C, B, and instead of improving business B, we started C.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: Then somebody tells you about an investment, somebody tells you about another opportunity.
- 9:32SPEAKER_00: Now you got six things going, and you're exhausted, not just physically, but mentally exhausted, and none of them are operating at their full potential.
- 9:44SPEAKER_00: None of them.
- 9:45SPEAKER_00: So here's a financial question I want you to ask yourself, okay?
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: What is what is actually producing?
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: Not what looks good, right?
- 9:55SPEAKER_00: Or sounds good, not what everybody else is doing.
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: What is actually producing?
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: And then I need you to just ask yourself, what is costing me money, right?
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: Time and energy without producing enough return to justify the things that I'm doing.
- 10:14SPEAKER_00: Cause y'all know what wealth isn't isn't built by adding, right?
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: Sometimes it's not built by adding, but sometimes wealth is built by eliminating, right?
- 10:27SPEAKER_00: Think about it when they say eliminate debt, the different things.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: Unnecessary expenses, eliminating the distractions, eliminating the unprofitable activities, eliminating things that you started three years ago that don't even align with where you're going anymore.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: We talk about diversifying, right?
- 10:47SPEAKER_00: And diversification.
- 10:49SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: All of those things has it has its place.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: But diversification without direction can become a distraction.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: Do you hear me?
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: You can have seven streams of income and still be broken.
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: All seven streams require you personal stand there holding the faucet open, right?
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: That's not freedom.
- 11:12SPEAKER_00: That's actually seven jobs.
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: Think about it.
- 11:15SPEAKER_00: All seven streams is causing you anxiety, it's causing you to lose sleep, it's costing you time.
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: And there's nothing wrong with working hard.
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: I believe in working hard.
- 11:24SPEAKER_00: I was raised in working hard.
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: I've been working since I can remember.
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: I just come from a family.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: We work.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: Daddy woke you up, you working.
- 11:32SPEAKER_00: Like there was no sleeping in.
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: But eventually, y'all, we gotta start asking ourselves.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: We gotta start asking, am I building income or am I just building more work for myself?
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: These are self-evaluation questions, y'all.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: Am I building more income?
- 11:49SPEAKER_00: Am I earning?
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: So there's a difference between earning money and building something sustainable, right?
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: And y'all know what I always say.
- 12:00SPEAKER_00: I don't teach you how to what?
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: I don't teach you how to earn it.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: I don't just teach you how to earn it, I teach you how to sustain it.
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: Well, sustainability requires you to have to focus, right?
- 12:15SPEAKER_00: Now that brings me into the real estate portion.
- 12:19SPEAKER_00: Because this, y'all, this is where Marky Staman really, really made me think on yesterday.
- 12:26SPEAKER_00: When you started, let me say this.
- 12:30SPEAKER_00: When you're starting in real estate, one of the first things you think is, I need everybody.
- 12:38SPEAKER_00: I I'll sell anything, anywhere, any price point.
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: Call me.
- 12:43SPEAKER_00: Buy and call me, sell and call me, invest and call me, land, commercial, residential.
- 12:48SPEAKER_00: Two hours away, sure, I'll drive.
- 12:50SPEAKER_00: Because that was me.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: And I don't knock anybody that does it because I feel like you gotta be willing to get down in the trenches and to do what it takes to become successful.
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: But when you're building a business, sometimes you don't have to take opportunities that sometimes you do have to take.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: Let me say that.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: You do have to take the opportunities that help you learn.
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: And I'm not knocking that, but eventually you have to ask yourself, what do I want people to know me for?
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: When I'm discussing and talking with my agents, I ask them, you know, what's gonna be your niche?
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: Who's gonna be your target market?
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: Who who are you looking to be your prior?
- 13:29SPEAKER_00: What does your ideal person clientele look like?
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: Because there's a difference between being able to do something and being known as an authority in something.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: If I ask you right now, who's the person for just put a blank there, right?
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: Who's the person for the best um HELOC loans or the best interest rates or the best to get a mobile home done?
- 13:57SPEAKER_00: Somebody's name probably immediately comes to mind, right?
- 14:00SPEAKER_00: Or who's the best financial advisor?
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: And why?
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: Because they have created an association between their name and a particular problem, service, or market, right?
- 14:13SPEAKER_00: And that's branding, that's positioning, and it's called authority, all right?
- 14:18SPEAKER_00: I've been thinking a lot about that word because authority is my word of the year, right?
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: Here's what I realized: you cannot establish authority anywhere at the same time, all right?
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: At some point, you have to decide what am I really good at?
- 14:35SPEAKER_00: Who do I serve well?
- 14:37SPEAKER_00: What problems do people consistently come to me to solve?
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: Where does my experience give me an advantage?
- 14:45SPEAKER_00: And what do I actually enjoy doing?
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: Those questions right there, they matter because your niche isn't always something somebody on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok tells you to pick.
- 15:00SPEAKER_00: Sometimes your niche, y'all, it's revealing itself through your life, your business, and over the years.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: Like just think back over the years, your clientele, the people that you serve, the things that brought you joy.
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: Look at who keeps calling you, analyze, collect the data, look at what people keep asking you about.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: Look at the transactions you understand better than most people.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: Look at where experience, like, just look, take a look at it, look back.
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: When they say when I think back over my life and I think things over, think back over your career.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: Think, think, look at where your experience is deepest, like where you have the most um um knowledge of.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: There are clues there, y'all.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: And this isn't just for realtors, it's not.
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: If you're a hairstylist, what are you known for as a hairstylist?
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: If you're a contractor, what are you known for?
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: If you're a lender, what are you known for?
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: If you're an attorney, what are you known for?
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: If you own a business of any sort, what problem does your name solve in somebody's mind?
- 16:11SPEAKER_00: Because if your answer is, well, I do a little bit of everything, and I know quite a few people that do a little bit of everything, and it's okay, but what do people remember you for?
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: Because that's a difference.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: There is a difference.
- 16:28SPEAKER_00: And while you're here, let's talk about something business owners don't talk about enough.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: Everybody doesn't have to be your client.
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: Just say it.
- 16:37SPEAKER_00: Say it to yourself.
- 16:39SPEAKER_00: Everybody doesn't have to be my client.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: You would actually be grateful that somebody wasn't your client.
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: Somebody needed permission just to hear that, feel it, and say it out loud.
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: Every dollar isn't good money.
- 16:54SPEAKER_00: I've had to reject people from being my clients.
- 16:58SPEAKER_00: I've had to say no, I don't think we'll be a good fit.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: I have literally had to refer certain people to someone else because I felt like I couldn't service them the way they needed to be serviced, or we just didn't, we just didn't manage.
- 17:14SPEAKER_00: And you have to be okay with it because some money costs too much to earn.
- 17:19SPEAKER_00: Too much.
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: I have several examples, certain listings that I took thinking, oh my gosh, this is a listing of a lifetime, and that seller just we're not gonna go there.
- 17:30SPEAKER_00: But anyway, just think about this.
- 17:32SPEAKER_00: If a client requires 90% of your energy and produces 5% of your revenue, that's something you really need to evaluate, right?
- 17:43SPEAKER_00: And I'm not just saying you only work with people who are easy, that's very unrealistic, okay?
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: But what I am saying, business requires problem solving.
- 17:55SPEAKER_00: Real estate definitely requires problem solving, but there's a difference between solving problems and accepting dysfunction.
- 18:05SPEAKER_00: And I'm gonna say that again.
- 18:08SPEAKER_00: There's a difference between problem solving and accepting dysfunction.
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: There are people who don't respect boundaries at all.
- 18:16SPEAKER_00: There are people who don't respect your expertise, there's people who don't even respect your time, and sometimes we're afraid of losing that money that we hold on to those situations that are costing us more than we're making.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: So here's another question: what if the true cost of this client's opportunity or relationship, just not just financial time, stress, and energy, but opportunity cost because while you're spending 10 hours trying to save something that was never aligned with you, you might be missing the opportunity that actually was.
- 18:53SPEAKER_00: And that's where I want to shift this conversation into purpose.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: Because there's something I'm learning.
- 18:59SPEAKER_00: Every good opportunity isn't your assignment.
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: That's a hard, that's very hard to hear for a very ambitious person.
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: And that's me, because even my financial advisor has told me over and over, you know, you're very ambitious.
- 19:14SPEAKER_00: You always got all these ideas, you want to do this and you want to do that, but it's not the time yet.
- 19:20SPEAKER_00: Focus on one thing.
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: Was did I want to hear that?
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: Nope.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: I'm a visionary, right?
- 19:27SPEAKER_00: I see things, I look ahead, I'm like, oh, I can do this, oh, I can do that.
- 19:31SPEAKER_00: Just thinking of ways to make money, ways to add value to people, ways to just whatever, right?
- 19:37SPEAKER_00: I can see possibilities everywhere.
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: And they'll tell you, hey, pump the brakes, pump the brakes.
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: You can walk into something and immediately see, oh, we could do this, we can add this, and then we could turn this into this.
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: And guess what?
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: Before you know it, you've mentally started three companies before lunch.
- 19:57SPEAKER_00: I remember just last week, I was with my boys and I was sitting in the living room, and I was, I just had all these ideas.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: They were talking.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: I was like, oh, I'm about to create a business.
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: And their eyes just lit up.
- 20:07SPEAKER_00: Mommy, you're finna do another business.
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: I'm like, yeah, probably by next year.
- 20:10SPEAKER_00: It's like you're always doing something, but y'all, I got too much on my plate to be trying to create something else.
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: So it's not time yet.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: So just because you can see the opportunity doesn't mean you're supposed to pursue the opportunity.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: We need to seek God, right?
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: Before we do it in the first place.
- 20:27SPEAKER_00: God, is this your will for me?
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: Is this what you will have me to do?
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: That's where discernment comes in.
- 20:34SPEAKER_00: James 1 and 5 tells us that if we lack wisdom, ask God who gives generously.
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: Because sometimes we don't need another opportunity or a business.
- 20:44SPEAKER_00: We need um wisdom about the opportunities that's already in front of us.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: Look at Jesus.
- 20:50SPEAKER_00: Jesus had a mission, and there was always people who needed something, right?
- 20:54SPEAKER_00: There was always a crowd, there was always demands, but the scripture also showed that Jesus withdrawing from the crowds to pray.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: Um, Luke 5 and 16 says, but Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and he prayed.
- 21:08SPEAKER_00: I need you to think about that.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: Even Jesus did not allow the needs of everybody around him to eliminate the need for him to withdraw, pull away.
- 21:18SPEAKER_00: Now let me say it again.
- 21:20SPEAKER_00: Even Jesus did not allow the needs of everybody.
- 21:23SPEAKER_00: That's there you are, being everything to everybody, right?
- 21:26SPEAKER_00: Around him to eliminate the need for people to withdraw him, or for him not to withdraw from those people.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: So why do we think we're supposed to?
- 21:35SPEAKER_00: Sometimes you have to disconnect long enough to ask questions.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: God, is this mine?
- 21:41SPEAKER_00: God, is this the opportunity?
- 21:43SPEAKER_00: Is the opportunity mine?
- 21:44SPEAKER_00: Is it the relationship?
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: Is the responsibility?
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: Or did I pick up something because I knew I was capable of carrying?
- 21:52SPEAKER_00: Here's what I want somebody listening today to understand.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: Your next level may not require more.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: It may require L E S S all caps.
- 22:05SPEAKER_00: So I told you to write down N O no all caps.
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: I need you to write down L E S S.
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: Less distractions.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: Less unnecessary access.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: Less saying yes because you don't want to disappoint somebody.
- 22:21SPEAKER_00: Less comparison, less chasing, less trying to prove yourself, less trying to be everywhere.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: Less L E S S.
- 22:31SPEAKER_00: Because when you start trying to be everything, you finally have the capacity to become exceptional at something.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: Think about sunlight.
- 22:42SPEAKER_00: Sunlight is everywhere, right?
- 22:44SPEAKER_00: But when you focus that light through a lens, it becomes a it becomes powerful enough to create what?
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: Heat.
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: That light didn't change, but the focus did.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: And some of you don't need more talent, right?
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: You don't need more, you don't need more talent.
- 23:03SPEAKER_00: But what you need is more focus.
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: You need to say no.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: You need to do less.
- 23:09SPEAKER_00: You don't need another ideal or another business.
- 23:11SPEAKER_00: You need to execute the one you already have.
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: You don't need another business.
- 23:18SPEAKER_00: You need systems.
- 23:19SPEAKER_00: I need a system.
- 23:21SPEAKER_00: We were in um Marky Raoul's class, and she talked about all the things, and I'm gonna be 100% honest.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: After that session, I was like, you know, I have all the things, right?
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: The tools.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: I was been I've been in her classes, I've bought the books, and the information was great.
- 23:38SPEAKER_00: But it's all systematic.
- 23:40SPEAKER_00: And it's you taking time to implement those systems.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: You don't need a thousand more followers, you need to serve the people already paying attention to you.
- 23:49SPEAKER_00: Now, don't get me wrong.
- 23:50SPEAKER_00: We definitely need to always attract and be in circles and rooms, but what I'm saying is your job shouldn't be to get the likes and all the things, right?
- 23:59SPEAKER_00: You need to serve the people.
- 24:01SPEAKER_00: You don't need everybody to know your name.
- 24:04SPEAKER_00: Just be the light.
- 24:05SPEAKER_00: Be the light.
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: Light attracts, right?
- 24:09SPEAKER_00: You need the right people to know exactly why they should call you.
- 24:13SPEAKER_00: So I'm gonna leave you with a little homework today.
- 24:17SPEAKER_00: I want you to look at your life and ask yourself four questions.
- 24:21SPEAKER_00: Now I'm gonna slow it down.
- 24:23SPEAKER_00: And if you got your notepads, if you're writing it down, I just need you to write.
- 24:27SPEAKER_00: And I'm gonna emphasize the words I want you to put in all caps.
- 24:31SPEAKER_00: What do I need to stop doing?
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: What do I need to stop doing?
- 24:40SPEAKER_00: What do I need to start doing?
- 24:46SPEAKER_00: What do I need to continue doing?
- 24:52SPEAKER_00: Here's the big one.
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: What am I doing simply because people have become accustomed to me doing it?
- 25:01SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 25:02SPEAKER_00: They expect you to be there, they expect you to do this, they expect, they expect, they have all their expectations because guess what?
- 25:09SPEAKER_00: You have been all things to all people because sometimes people aren't demanding too much from us.
- 25:14SPEAKER_00: It's us not saying no.
- 25:16SPEAKER_00: We never set those boundaries.
- 25:19SPEAKER_00: And remember, a boundary doesn't tell somebody else what they can do, a boundary establishes what you are going to do, and that's a big difference.
- 25:30SPEAKER_00: So if you don't remember anything else from today's show, remember this.
- 25:34SPEAKER_00: Stop trying to be everything to everybody.
- 25:37SPEAKER_00: You weren't created to solve every problem.
- 25:40SPEAKER_00: You weren't called to accept every single opportunity.
- 25:44SPEAKER_00: Every person isn't your client, and every invitation doesn't require a yes, y'all.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: Every idea doesn't require you to have to be the one to implement it.
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: Every good opportunity isn't necessarily your assignment.
- 25:58SPEAKER_00: And being capable, okay, because a lot of us are capable of doing a lot of things, but that doesn't automatically make you responsible.
- 26:06SPEAKER_00: Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do for life, finance, your business, your future, is decide this is what I do.
- 26:17SPEAKER_00: This is what I do, this is who I am, this is who I serve, this is where I am going.
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: And everything else doesn't get to come with me.
- 26:26SPEAKER_00: And you have to be okay with that.
- 26:28SPEAKER_00: Because you cannot establish authority everywhere at the same time.
- 26:33SPEAKER_00: I told you my word for 2026 was walking in authority, authority.
- 26:38SPEAKER_00: But you can't, you can't have authority, you can't be that expert in this area.
- 26:44SPEAKER_00: You can't, you can't.
- 26:45SPEAKER_00: You just can't.
- 26:46SPEAKER_00: Not if you're trying to be everything to everybody.
- 26:48SPEAKER_00: You hadn't even mastered the one thing.
- 26:50SPEAKER_00: So maybe your next level isn't waiting on you to do more.
- 26:53SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's waiting on you to finally decide what deserves your best.
- 27:00SPEAKER_00: What deserves your B E S T.

- 27:18SPEAKER_00: I teach you what?
- 27:19SPEAKER_00: I teach you how to sustain it.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: And let me say that again because I said it wrong.
- 27:24SPEAKER_00: I don't just teach you how to earn it.
- 27:26SPEAKER_00: Because I'm gonna teach you how to earn it, baby.
