  Let's get it. But anyways, welcome to the Deconstructing Topic Podcast.

  But lately, we've been doing the football score just to keep the diet,

  just to, how can I say, let the universe know that regardless of anything.

  And if you just heard me kind of, you know, little sniffles there going on,

  it is definitely, definitely cold symptoms committee.

  Excuse me, all over the world the powers that be once again are messing with

  our emotions, our immune systems and all that good stuff so take care of,

  yourself make sure that you do whatever it takes to,

  get some of these good teas some of these natural things,

  the lemons, the ginger it doesn't cost that much, just put it in a pop of water,

  just heat it up wherever it is that you're heating stuff and make sure that

  you get some warmth and something for your immune system.

  So that's basically what's going on because even that is taking a little bit toll on me.

  I'll be honest with you, it's taking a little toll on me.

  So week five of the NFL season started with an interesting Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
• 2:28
  Versus the Dallas Cowboys.
• 2:29
  This game, the Buccaneers was coming in, winning a game with their super-duper,
• 2:35
  backup quarterback or whatever the case might be.
• 2:37
  And then the Dallas Cowboys, what can I say?
• 2:41
  That's him that every season...
• 2:43
  Every season, and when it comes to the NFL season, every season,
• 2:46
  for some reason, because that's
• 2:48
  America's team, that they feel they're contentless, whatever the case.
• 2:52
  But you know what? Thursday night football game.
• 2:55
  And this is what they say. You play to win the game.
• 2:59
  And basically, the Cowboys came out short in an upset victory with the Tampa
• 3:03
  Bay, getting their first win to 9-1-4.
• 3:07
  The Cowboys moved to 2-3. It was a crazy 24-16 game where the Cowboys,
• 3:13
  you know, they got a high-power offense, but I don't know what the hell happened
• 3:16
  on their offense on Thursday. Hey, as a Giants fan, I'll take it.
• 3:21
  But then just when you think that, you know, people are talking Friday morning
• 3:25
  in regards to Thursday's nice game, Sunday in the morning, we have a,
• 3:29
  what they call the London games.
• 3:31
  I believe this one, it was London or some other part of London.
• 3:33
  I don't know. Whatever the case, they got the NFL on Sunday morning between
• 3:38
  the Eagles and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
• 3:42
  The Jacksonville Jaguars, hey, listen, they've been playing good ever since.
• 3:47
  But I think I believe they lost their first game of the season, if I'm not mistaken.
• 3:50
  But they've just been playing lights out as of late. And the Eagles,
• 3:53
  just the Eagles. And, you know, basically, you are who your winter record is.
• 3:57
  And coming in, the Eagles, hey, listen, even the spike that the Jaguars are playing better.
• 4:04
  The fact that, hey, Eagles are contenders. You know what I'm saying?
• 4:07
  But in this game, wild game. And all I can say, the final score was 19-17.

  I kid you not, I'm watching a game live. And I remember when the Eagles took
• 4:18
  the lead and I said, you know, it's over.
• 4:21
  I went to get myself a, how can I say, a refill of my beautiful good beer.
• 4:25
  The next thing I see some dude running from the Jacksonville Jaguar across the
• 4:29
  TV or whatever it is. And I'm like, what the hell just happened?
• 4:33
  Did the Jacksonville just want,
• 4:35
  as a Jacksonville? I take it with the final score of 19-7. and wild 19-17.
• 4:41
  Crazy game. You got the Bengals and the Dolphins. Oh, my goodness.
• 4:48
  Another, another, another wild one.
• 4:51
  To at least say the least, the Bengals coming in. They're doing their thing,
• 4:55
  trying to get, you know, trying to play better than what their record is.

  And basically, they beat the Dolphins. The Dolphins now go 0-5.
• 5:04
  And the Bengals go 3-2. The final score was 31-24.
• 5:08
  I was catching that game on the red zone. And, you know, hey,
• 5:11
  listen, the Dolphins put in a fight. I think this might have been the Dolphins,
• 5:17
  one of their better games this year because they come in.
• 5:19
  Hey, listen, expectation is the Dolphins would not have the highs of the highs
• 5:24
  with a new quarterback in Helm.
• 5:26
  And the Bengals, hey, you know, the Bengals is the Bengals. The Bengals is that
• 5:30
  team that have the personnel, but, you know, to what extent?
• 5:34
  To what extent? But you got to win games. And this is a game where it could
• 5:38
  have been a trap for the Bengals, but they squeeze in that 31-24 game. Let's go.
• 5:45
  Now, we got one of the most interesting games of the week. My New York football
• 5:49
  Giants playing against the Washington Commanders. And, again,
• 5:53
  this is a game where basically the Commanders should have won.
• 5:58
  And as a Giants fan, this is one of those things where we could have lost this
• 6:02
  game a couple of years ago.
• 6:04
  We probably didn't put out a fight, but we put a fight. You know,
• 6:08
  we were losing, if I'm not mistaken, 27-13 coming in the fourth quarter.
• 6:12
  We came back. We tied up.
• 6:15
  And they went to overtime. And overtime is winning nuts.
• 6:19
  And the fact that skidaboos, scam, whatever it is, you know,
• 6:23
  my boy. You know what I mean? The running back of New York Giants,
• 6:25
  we fumbled where we missed to get at least a shot at the field goal there.
• 6:31
  But just when you think that we just gave up the game, the commanders just gave
• 6:35
  up the game and then some.
• 6:37
  The fact is that they had no timeout. They ran the ball. The quarterback,
• 6:41
  instead of throwing it, and the time ran out.
• 6:43
  No chance to take a field goal. The final score was 27-27. I'm like, oh, my.
• 6:50
  And as a Giants fan, you take it.
• 6:52
  But you're not happy, you're not sad. But you're just in between,
• 6:55
  you take it. Because I guess, you know, there's one of those games that you take it.

  Because, again, if I go a year, even two years, this is a game that we would
• 7:03
  have lost. Even if we came back, we would have lost.

  Then the interesting game, the Patriots. The Patriots have been playing some good ball.

  Well, he's now getting their record to 3-2 with the win against the Raiders,
• 7:20
  who started on fire, but now they are back to being the Raiders, I believe.
• 7:25
  So the final score was 45-17.

  It was an interesting score. It was an interesting game. You know,
• 7:32
  Drake made, you know, silencing the crowd there, silencing the people,
• 7:35
  the doubters, throwing some bombs.
• 7:37
  Just coo, coo, coo, coo, coo And the Raiders just decided Hey,
• 7:40
  listen, let's get our Mendoza kit First round pick Whatever the case might be
• 7:46
  Number one draft And let's, listen, whatever it is Excuse me, let's get it going,
• 7:52
  But too short. Again, the Patriots are just finding a way to get some of these
• 7:57
  wins because wins matters in the NFL. Wins matter in the NFL.

  You take it as whatever the case.

  And then the real fact is that you beat a team that was 3-1 coming into this
• 8:11
  game. So 45-17, Patriots move to 3-2.

  Excuse me. The Raiders 2-3-2 as well.

  So another game where you kind of basically have two teams that are,
• 8:24
  you are what your record is coming in with the 2-2, and somebody got to win
• 8:30
  and somebody got to lose unless it's a tie.

  But the Indianapolis Colts facing the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Pittsburgh Steelers,
• 8:38
  hey, listen, the Steelers are the Steelers.
• 8:41
  And in this case, they have a, you know, they beat the Colts 34-22.

  The Steelers there coming in, Aaron Rodgers looking like a 20,
• 8:49
  8-year-old Aaron Rodgers.
• 8:52
  And the Colts made a game. They made a game. They actually came back.
• 8:55
  They lifted a bit flat in the first half.
• 8:59
  But there's just not too much that they could have done. A mistake here,
• 9:03
  a mistake there. And that's it. 34-22.

  The Annapolis Colts move on to 2-3. And then once again, the Steelers to 3-4.

  Another interesting game here. The Green Bay Packers versus their rival.

  One of the craziest rivals in the NFL, the Chicago Bears, and sadly,

  the Bears with Mike Dick to pass it away.

  The great coach, the Bears of the 1985 Chicago Bears Championship team.

  So, hey, listen, it could have been one of those games where the Bears,
• 9:37
  hey, let's do it for coach, you know, type of deal. But they came flat.

  The Packers just came in and were just whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop.

  They play a good game. Maybe they're a best all-around game so far this year.

  The final score was Packers 31.

  The Chicago Bears 7.
• 9:56
  Both teams now are 3-2. Yeah, that NFC North football conference is going to

  be tough. It's going to be wild.

  It might come down to the wire, but let's see.

  Let's see. The Packers coming with that win, a dominating win at that.

  Then the surprising, perhaps the surprising, perhaps the surprising team of
• 10:17
  the NFL this year in this early part of the year is the Caelan Browns,
• 10:21
  who went over there to New Jersey. New Jersey.
• 10:26
  And played the New Jersey Jets. I'm over here. I apologize, New York Jets fan.
• 10:31
  But they played the New York Jets and coming in, the New York Jets looking defeated,
• 10:36
  looking like, what's going on?
• 10:38
  It's Aaron Rodgers, I mean, Aaron Glenn, the coach, is playing for its job or
• 10:44
  whatever. But hey, the Jets, they won.
• 10:48
  The final score was 17, Browns 12. The Browns looked like the old school Browns.
• 10:53
  You know, their defense played great defense, but their offense sputtered.
• 10:57
  Yes, there was so much rain. There was so much going on.

  But the Jets just squeeze in that little way, that little win.
• 11:04
  Again, in the NFL, in the NFL, especially early on, wins matter.

  And this is another win another week where Aaron Glenn, the coach that gets to say put.

  And then the Browns say, listen, let's see what the Browns is.
• 11:19
  Is this the beginning of the Browns going back to what the Browns is?
• 11:22
  Or are they going to continue to surprise the league?
• 11:26
  The other surprise, the other surprising team, but not in a good surprising
• 11:30
  team, the Houston Texans coming in and not winning versus another winless team
• 11:36
  of the Tennessee Titans.
• 11:39
  Somebody got to win, right? Not a tie. Somebody got to win. And in this case,
• 11:43
  the Houston Texans pull out the 26-3 final score. The Texans needed this win.

  You might understand, I think the Texans, they started last year slow.
• 11:54
  And this is a team that starts a little bit slow, but then they get hot because
• 11:58
  there's always expectations, especially if you got that quarterback C.J.
• 12:01
  Stratton, another couple of pieces there. But it gets the Tennessee Titans,
• 12:07
  a struggling Tennessee.
• 12:09
  A Tennessee Titans that they don't even know where they're at.
• 12:12
  But this is one of those games that you could have partly had said in paper,
• 12:16
  the Texans were a better team, and in the field they were a better team,
• 12:20
  and the final score, they basically were the better team.

  26-3 Titans move to 0-5 Let's see what happens there And the Texans to 1-4.

  We get to another football game, another, another, another of the surprising teams in the NFL.

  Now, I'll take it that it's not crazy surprising, but it is still surprising.

  I'm sorry about the Crawford. Hey, listen, I'm still dealing with that cold. Let's go.

  But the Minnesota Vikings heading against the Saints. The Saints,
• 12:53
  you know, for the most part, you know, the Saints are interesting because they
• 12:56
  can't be better than what their record is.
• 12:58
  But at the end of the day, hey, listen, we played, We play a football game.

  Vikings came in, and they did what the Vikings do, defense, and good opportunities in the offense.

  And the Saints just was nowhere to be found. So the final score here, the Vikings, 23.

  They moved to 5-0. Once again, it's surprising and not surprising.

  But let's see. Again, let's see. They're running away with the NFC North.

  So let's see what happened in the AFC South. I mean, the Saints,
• 13:26
  they go to 1-4. So, again, the Saints, it's interesting because they can be
• 13:31
  better than what their record is.

  But if you can't get Ws, especially this early on, then sadly,
• 13:38
  you know, what do you expect? A five-game winning streak with only like three games left.

  So, let's see what happened on that one. The Denver Broncos going against the
• 13:51
  Chargers. The Chargers have this a bit.
• 13:54
  Stupendously, stupendously disappointing if you're a Chargers fan.

  Or if you're a fan of whatever it is that you believe that perhaps this could
• 14:04
  have been a contender, but the Broncos moved to 3-2, defeating the LA Chargers who all in 5-23-17.

  Excuse me. I don't know what to say about the Chargers. They have been in so
• 14:20
  many close games, But then towards the end or somewhere, it becomes a closed game.

  Then you see an end, so you see this, and the next thing is like it's out of reach.

  And even when it's a closed game, it just doesn't feel like it's closed.

  I just don't know what to say on that one. But the Denver Broncos,

  again, we just got to get those W.

  You get those W any way you can. Again, if you are a Broncos fan,
• 14:46
  hey, by all means, now you move to 3-2.

  And charges that donut 0-5. We got the Detroit Lions versus the Arizona Cardinals.

  Arizona Cardinals making some moves here and there.

  And Detroit is doing the Detroit thing. You know, it's one of those teams that,

  they still got the pieces there to get that, you know, to be contenders.

  And they came into, you know, Arizona, whatever it is. The final score was the

  Detroit Lions, 45. The Arizona Cardinals, 1-4. The final score was 45-21.

  You take these wins.

  You take these wins because, again, in the NFC North, it gets crazy wild.

  And then you have some of the other games here.

  An interesting game between the San Francisco 49ers versus the defending champions, Seattle Seahawks.

  What can I say to you? Yeah, San Francisco 49ers. They just play in Light Towers,

  especially Brock Purdy.

  I mean, Brock Purdy, let me tell you something. You know, it's interesting because
• 15:57
  there's a scene in football and sports.

  Whenever people doubt you, you play with a chip on your shoulder.

  So that means that you use that motivation to your doubters that you are actually
• 16:08
  better than what they stating or, you know, whatever it is that you,
• 16:12
  whatever point that you want to prove,

  So, Brock Purdy, Mr.

  Irrevolent, the last player that was drafted in the NFL draft years ago,

  you know, drafted years ago, a few years ago.

  Hey, listen, he plays lights out.

  The 49ers defeat, and not only just defeat, it was a close game.

  32-29, the 49ers move to 5-0. Perhaps very surprisingly, perhaps, perhaps.

  And the Seattle move the defending champion, I might add, to three and two.

  So that's going to be an interesting, again, wins matter, wins matter,

  and wins matter early in the season.

  Then we get into a little another game here, another Ravens versus the Falcons.

  The Ravens, you know, obviously it's the Ravens coming into this game.

  The Falcons have been playing much better.

  And even in this game, you know, they play lights out, whatever.

  But, look, the final score is 30-23.

  The Ravens 30 and the Atlanta Falcons 23.

  The Ravens move to 4-1 while the Falcons move to 2-3.

  And it was a final score. I mean, it's one of those. It was a crazy game.

  Another crazy, crazy, crazy game.

  It was one of those games where you just be like, okay, that's it?

  Like, what? Even one second.

  Seconds matters in the NFL. Having a timeout matters in the NFL.

  Making good plays matters in the NFL because all you need to do is to make sure

  that if you get your kicker,

  And so field goal range, whether they miss, whatever it is, hey,

  listen, it gives you a chance to actually win the ballgame. So this is another,

  perfect thing, regardless of whatever the Ravens is.

  Another interesting game. Another interesting game, the Monday night game between
• 18:10
  the Buffalo Bills, who's going to put some score.

  Josh Allen's going to do Josh Allen thing.

  And the Rams, you know, who kind of have been struggling, but even their defense,
• 18:20
  but the final score, The Buffalo Bills, 37, the Rams, 34 in the final OT.

  But it's one of those games that you say to yourself, okay, you know,
• 18:33
  if the Rams win, you know, the Rams are going to feel like the Rams.

  Like, okay, you know, we make it happen.

  Because these are the games that the Rams, if they continue to be this,
• 18:43
  they're not going to make the playoffs, basically. If they continue to play
• 18:46
  the way they're playing, inconsistent.
• 18:49
  But with the Bills, hey, the Bills are the Bills.
• 18:52
  And the Bills know, and again, that's another team that's playing with a chip
• 18:55
  on their shoulders. They know they have to win games. They know they want to
• 18:59
  get that home field advantage now that they got this new stadium.

  They know they got to do so much.
• 19:05
  And prove that once and for all, perhaps, perhaps, this is the year with Josh
• 19:09
  Allen and company, bring a title to Buffalo.

  So with that said, that's still your week five final scores.
