- 0:21notified every single time I upload.
- 0:23OK guys, let's get started. I wanted to this video because
- 0:25like a lot of people I know, I do a lot of videos for adults
- 0:27and meals in the special. But it's still possible that
- 0:29people are still searching for my content to find out
- 0:33information on kids. So I've written down some ways
- 0:35you can identify autism in children for Aspergers, for
- 0:38people who have the old nomenclature, which is not just
- 0:40autism special disorder, and it's good to know that.
- 0:42So the first thing I talk about is difficulty with social
- 0:44communication. Now, this could be difficulty in
- 0:47initiating and maintaining conversation, understanding the
- 0:50flow of conversation, understanding nonverbal cues,
- 0:52hand gestures, facial expressions you know, distance
- 0:56to the stand next to somebody, maintaining eye contact, even
- 0:59making eye contact. These are all traits that will
- 1:02display themselves in children who have Asperger's syndrome.
- 1:05The next one is restricted impetitive behaviors or
- 1:08interests such as, you know, sticking to strict routines,
- 1:11fixating on one type of food to eat all the time, one type of TV
- 1:14show to watch all the time, one type of clothing to wear all the
- 1:16time. These are all very telltale
- 1:18signs. This person has Asperger
- 1:20Syndrome and the last I'll talk about here is sensory
- 1:23sensitivities, which is an under over sensitivity to things like
- 1:26sound, touch, smell, textures. It could even be temperature.
- 1:30It could be being in the room with certain people who have
- 1:32certain aftershaves on. This is very difficult for
- 1:34people on the Austin spectrum, especially those dangers.
- 1:36Asperger Syndrome. Now, not all of these are going
- 1:38to be present, but some of them are.
- 1:40Mainly, all of them will be present in people with
- 1:43Asperger's syndrome. Now, it's not a diagnosis.
- 1:45I'm not diagnosing anybody. I'm just giving the information
- 1:47so people can have this information to go forward.
- 1:49Now, I have an Autism Life Hacks PDF book that you can download
- 1:52completely for free right now. It's autismhacks.net or the link
- 1:57in the description down below. I'd love to know your thoughts
- 1:59on all the things I talked about.
