Latest / The Vault: The Epstein Files / Doug Band Gives His Epstein Related Testimony To Congress
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. Yesterday, Doug Band had his time before Congress
- 0:10Speaker 1: where he was talking about what he knew about Jeffrey Epstein.
- 0:15Speaker 1: And according to sources that were in that meeting, Doug
- 0:20Speaker 1: Band came down with a case of amnesia. And I
- 0:24Speaker 1: know that's going to shock you, right? Considering that so
- 0:28Speaker 1: many people that have been in Epstein's orbit have been
- 0:30Speaker 1: afflicted by the same malady. I'm not shocked to hear
- 0:35Speaker 1: that Doug Band just couldn't remember his interactions with Jeffrey Epstein.
- 0:40Speaker 1: And also, shockingly enough, he walked back his claim that
- 0:44Speaker 1: Bill Clinton went to the island. Now, I don't buy
- 0:48Speaker 1: that for a second, considering what Virginia has said and
- 0:53Speaker 1: what Mr. Scully said. I'm going to go with what
- 0:55Speaker 1: they had to say about Bill Clinton on the island.
- 0:58Speaker 1: But remember, that doesn't mean that Bill Clinton was abusing
- 1:01Speaker 1: people on the island. I think there's a misnomer where
- 1:06Speaker 1: people think that if you went to the island, you
- 1:08Speaker 1: were engaging in abuse. That's not how it worked. Not
- 1:12Speaker 1: everybody who went there was engaging in that. So I'm
- 1:15Speaker 1: certainly not saying that Bill Clinton was part of the
- 1:18Speaker 1: abuse machine. But I'm going to have to go with
- 1:21Speaker 1: what my friend Virginia told me. And she said that
- 1:24Speaker 1: Bill Clinton was on this island. So, let's dive into
- 1:28Speaker 1: this article from ABC News and let's see what they
- 1:31Speaker 1: had to say about Doug Band and his conversation, voluntarily,
- 1:36Speaker 1: with Congress. And the headline. Doug Band, former aide to
- 1:40Speaker 1: Bill Clinton, repeatedly tells panel he can't recall interactions with Epstein. Well,
- 1:46Speaker 1: that's convenient, huh? Who would have thought? That's the defense
- 1:50Speaker 1: strategy of everybody who's involved. and Congress just lets him
- 1:54Speaker 1: get away with it. This article was authored by John Parkinson,
- 1:59Speaker 1: Lauren Peller, and James Hill. Doug Band, the former close
- 2:03Speaker 1: advisor to President Bill Clinton, repeatedly told lawmakers that he
- 2:07Speaker 1: could not recall his involvement on several topics related to
- 2:10Speaker 1: convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Multiple sources said following Band's
- 2:15Speaker 1: appearance on Tuesday before the House Oversight Committee. Such a joke.
- 2:21Speaker 1: What an absolute waste of time. And that's why I'm
- 2:24Speaker 1: going through all the transcripts with you, so you can
- 2:26Speaker 1: get a full view of what these people say and
- 2:29Speaker 1: how ludicrous it all is. Because without the transcripts, obviously,
- 2:34Speaker 1: they could pitch us whatever bullshit they wanted to. The
- 2:37Speaker 1: one thing that they hate the most is losing control
- 2:39Speaker 1: of the narrative. Band, who began his tenure with Clinton
- 2:44Speaker 1: as an intern in the mid-90s, was questioned for four
- 2:47Speaker 1: hours by the panel as part of its ongoing probe
- 2:50Speaker 1: of the government's handling of the investigation's into Jeffrey Epstein.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Multiple sources familiar with his testimony said Band had no
- 2:59Speaker 1: evidence or information that President Clinton ever went to Epstein's island,
- 3:03Speaker 1: Little St. James, in the U.S. Virgin Islands, despite telling
- 3:07Speaker 1: Vanity Fair on the record in 2020 that Clinton had
- 3:10Speaker 1: visited the island. Band told the committee that he didn't
- 3:13Speaker 1: remember why he had made that claim to Vanity Fair.
- 3:17Speaker 1: So just another guy that's a liar. Let's just come
- 3:20Speaker 1: out and say it. Doug Band, not exactly a reliable narrator.
- 3:26Speaker 1: This dude's out here saying whatever he wants because he
- 3:28Speaker 1: knows there's no consequences. Oh yeah, Bill Clinton never went
- 3:32Speaker 1: to the island. Bill Clinton never met him. I've never
- 3:36Speaker 1: even talked to Bill Clinton. That's the kind of ludicrous
- 3:39Speaker 1: bullshit that I would expect Doug Band to say. Often
- 3:43Speaker 1: described as the architect of Clinton's post-presidential endeavors, including the
- 3:47Speaker 1: Clinton Foundation and the Clinton Global Initiative, Band was pressed
- 3:51Speaker 1: about his own communications with Epstein's convicted co-conspirator, Glenn Maxwell,
- 3:56Speaker 1: which were made public earlier this year by the Justice
- 4:00Speaker 1: Department as part of the release of files mandated by
- 4:03Speaker 1: the Epstein Files Transparency Act. And all these people that
- 4:07Speaker 1: were friendly with Maxwell, who act like it was no
- 4:09Speaker 1: big deal, you're wrong. We're talking about a convicted sex trafficker.
- 4:15Speaker 1: We're talking about somebody that was targeting the most vulnerable
- 4:18Speaker 1: girls in society. So when they try to fall back
- 4:21Speaker 1: on the excuse, oh, well, I was a friend of Maxwell's.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Not exactly the optics you're looking for. I mean, how
- 4:28Speaker 1: many times have survivors told us that Maxwell was just
- 4:31Speaker 1: as bad, if not worse, than Jeffrey Epstein? Emails between
- 4:37Speaker 1: Band and Maxwell included talk of meetings with Epstein and
- 4:40Speaker 1: numerous exchanges containing suggestive innuendo and cheeky nicknames for each
- 4:45Speaker 1: other like Baby Cakes and Boo Boo, according to the
- 4:47Speaker 1: files released by the DOJ. Yo, you ever call anyone
- 4:51Speaker 1: Baby Cakes in an email? How about Boo Boo? And
- 4:57Speaker 1: then Doug Band goes on to say that he had
- 4:59Speaker 1: no intimate relations with Glenn Maxwell. I don't believe that.
- 5:04Speaker 1: You know why? Because Ghislaine Maxwell is a skafooza. She
- 5:09Speaker 1: was having relations with everybody. Remember the story about George Clooney?
- 5:13Speaker 1: Went to the bathroom with George, gave him a little
- 5:16Speaker 1: dome piece, and then bounced back to the table? Oh,
- 5:19Speaker 1: I remember that story. So if anybody is a prostitute,
- 5:22Speaker 1: if anybody is a slut, I think it would be
- 5:25Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell. The bulk of the messages were exchanged between
- 5:30Speaker 1: 2001 and 2004. before Epstein first faced criminal charges in
- 5:35Speaker 1: Florida in 2006. Yeah, nobody knew. Come on. Everybody had
- 5:41Speaker 1: their eyes wide shut. That was the problem. Band, according
- 5:47Speaker 1: to sources, told committee members that he didn't recall sending
- 5:50Speaker 1: individual emails to Maxwell, but he confirmed that an email
- 5:54Speaker 1: address associated with Clinton that was found in the Epstein
- 5:57Speaker 1: files was Band's and that no one else had access
- 6:00Speaker 1: to it. Oh yeah, so it wasn't you, right? It
- 6:03Speaker 1: was the dog. Your dog ate your homework, and then
- 6:06Speaker 1: he sent emails to Glenn Maxwell. Ban stated that he
- 6:09Speaker 1: took steps to insulate Clinton from Maxwell, as Ban became
- 6:13Speaker 1: aware of allegations, according to the sources. Don't you love
- 6:16Speaker 1: how all these people try to set themselves up as heroes? Well,
- 6:20Speaker 1: I stepped in because I knew that there were allegations.
- 6:23Speaker 1: So Doug Ban knew, but not Bill Clinton? Is that
- 6:27Speaker 1: what you really want me to believe? Because I'll tell
- 6:30Speaker 1: you right now, I don't believe that because it's unbelievable.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Band stated that he never had sexual contact of any
- 6:38Speaker 1: kind with Maxwell and didn't recall ever being introduced to
- 6:42Speaker 1: any woman or girl associated with Maxwell. Sources said, well,
- 6:47Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't have any evidence one way
- 6:49Speaker 1: or the other. But is it out of the realm
- 6:51Speaker 1: of possibility? No. Considering who we're talking about. And considering
- 6:55Speaker 1: the way she was moving, Band also said he didn't
- 6:58Speaker 1: recall ever engaging with Epstein on any of the flights
- 7:01Speaker 1: he took with Clinton on Epstein's private jet and didn't
- 7:04Speaker 1: recall having conversations with Epstein, said sources. Like, who believes that?
- 7:10Speaker 1: You're on this dude's private jet. You didn't have a conversation.
- 7:13Speaker 1: You didn't go up to him and say, hey, look,
- 7:14Speaker 1: I'm Doug Band. I'm Bill Clinton's, you know, go-to guy.
- 7:19Speaker 1: If you want to talk to Bill Clinton, you got
- 7:20Speaker 1: to go through me. None of that happened, huh? Okay. Okay. guess.
- 7:27Speaker 1: We know that Mr. Band set up several meetings between
- 7:29Speaker 1: Clinton and Epstein, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, poll
- 7:33Speaker 1: reporters prior to Band's appearance. We know Mr. Band accompanied Mr.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Clinton on several flights on Epstein's jet. We know that Mr.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Band also had a lot of communication with Ms. Maxwell,
- 7:46Speaker 1: so that'll be a topic of several questions. And it
- 7:49Speaker 1: should have been. But look, Doug Band, very small player
- 7:52Speaker 1: in all of this. He was never going to have
- 7:54Speaker 1: the keys to the kingdom. He wasn't going to provide
- 7:57Speaker 1: information that was going to be groundbreaking or shocking. But
- 8:02Speaker 1: what he does is adds a little clarity, right? And
- 8:06Speaker 1: it gets him on the record. So I guess, if anything,
- 8:10Speaker 1: at least we have that. Ban 54 has not been
- 8:13Speaker 1: accused of any wrongdoing. His appearance before the oversight committee
- 8:17Speaker 1: was voluntary and was not recorded. The committee has typically
- 8:21Speaker 1: released transcripts of interviews and after they're reviewed for accuracy
- 8:24Speaker 1: and redacted to remove any potential references to alleged victims.
- 8:29Speaker 1: So it's usually been a few days to a few weeks.
- 8:32Speaker 1: So we'll see how quickly this Banned one comes out.
- 8:35Speaker 1: And now that we're done with Bill Gates, we're going
- 8:37Speaker 1: to be diving into Leslie Groff. So we'll get to
- 8:40Speaker 1: Banned after that. Earlier this year, Banned told the New
- 8:44Speaker 1: York Times that his message with Maxwell occurred when he
- 8:48Speaker 1: was in his 20s and unmarried. and he denied any
- 8:51Speaker 1: romantic involvement with Maxwell, who is currently serving a 20-year
- 8:55Speaker 1: sentence for sex trafficking and other offenses. Well, how do
- 8:59Speaker 1: you prove it? I don't think that Glenn Maxwell is
- 9:01Speaker 1: going to spill the beans and say, yeah, you know,
- 9:03Speaker 1: I was getting cracked by Doug Band. Bro had me
- 9:06Speaker 1: in the Monica Lewinsky dress and had me hollering. Highly
- 9:10Speaker 1: doubt that's going to happen. There was absolutely no physical
- 9:14Speaker 1: relationship that occurred between us ever, Band said in a
- 9:17Speaker 1: statement to the Times. in which he referred to Maxwell
- 9:20Speaker 1: as a monster. Records created by Epstein's pilots made public
- 9:24Speaker 1: through civil litigation show Clinton and an entourage that typically
- 9:29Speaker 1: included Band aboard Epstein's plane on more than two dozen
- 9:32Speaker 1: flight legs in 2002 and 2003. But none of those
- 9:37Speaker 1: flights went to the island according to the pilots' logs. Clinton, Epstein,
- 9:41Speaker 1: and Maxwell have all denied that the former president had
- 9:44Speaker 1: ever been to Little St. James. And again, I believe Virginia.
- 9:49Speaker 1: People can believe whatever they want, right? We don't have
- 9:51Speaker 1: hard proof one way or the other. So it comes
- 9:54Speaker 1: down to who you find more believable. He never, absolutely never,
- 10:00Speaker 1: went and I can be sure of that because there's
- 10:02Speaker 1: no way he would have gone Maxwell told then Deputy
- 10:04Speaker 1: Attorney General Todd Blanche in a recorded interview last summer
- 10:08Speaker 1: but how would she know I thought Maxwell wasn't around
- 10:10Speaker 1: Epstein anymore what happened to that remember she said well
- 10:14Speaker 1: I took a step back I was dating Ted Waite
- 10:17Speaker 1: so it can't be both things She can't know everything
- 10:20Speaker 1: and not know nothing. I've never been to that island,
- 10:25Speaker 1: Clinton said in his own interview with the Oversight Committee
- 10:28Speaker 1: in February. The former president has not been accused of
- 10:31Speaker 1: any wrongdoing in connection to his association with Epstein. He
- 10:36Speaker 1: has said he stopped interacting with Epstein before any criminal
- 10:39Speaker 1: allegations surfaced and denied knowledge of any of Epstein's crimes.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Why did he have a picture of you in a
- 10:45Speaker 1: blue dress? That's one for the ages. Imagine being somebody
- 10:53Speaker 1: like Bill Clinton and knowing that picture exists, that painting.
- 10:57Speaker 1: It would be a Tony Soprano moment for me. Remember
- 11:00Speaker 1: how pissed off Tony gets when Pauly takes the fucking
- 11:03Speaker 1: picture out of the dumpster and has it touched up?
- 11:08Speaker 1: And then Tony goes to his house and sees it?
- 11:10Speaker 1: That would be me. I would have ripped that shit
- 11:12Speaker 1: off the wall and punched Epstein directly in his face.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Clinton told the committee that he and Band were once
- 11:19Speaker 1: close and that Band had been one of the people
- 11:21Speaker 1: he tasked to operationalize plans to develop the Clinton Global
- 11:25Speaker 1: Initiative in his early post-presidency years. He worked for me
- 11:29Speaker 1: for years, Clinton said. He arranged airplane flights and things
- 11:33Speaker 1: like that and was doing work on the first Clinton
- 11:35Speaker 1: Global Initiative in 2005. And I know that he both
- 11:39Speaker 1: Epstein and he knew Maxwell. I don't know to what
- 11:42Speaker 1: extent he was in contact with him. In her interview
- 11:46Speaker 1: with Blanche, Maxwell said she began spending time with Clinton
- 11:49Speaker 1: after he left the White House in 2001, as he
- 11:52Speaker 1: was forging his post-presidential path through the establishment of the
- 11:56Speaker 1: Clinton Foundation and later the Clinton Global Initiative, which is
- 11:59Speaker 1: a lie. They were at the White House 17 times.
- 12:03Speaker 1: So let's not act like Glenn Maxwell and Bill Clinton
- 12:06Speaker 1: didn't know each other. They most certainly did. I was
- 12:11Speaker 1: part of the beginning process of the Clinton Global Initiative,
- 12:14Speaker 1: and that was something that I helped with, and that
- 12:16Speaker 1: was me. And Epstein may have helped me help them,
- 12:19Speaker 1: she said, according to the transcript of July 2025 interview.
- 12:23Speaker 1: I started spending time with the former president and with
- 12:26Speaker 1: Doug and his team. Maxwell said I had no purpose, really,
- 12:30Speaker 1: other than obviously offered something. I don't know, ideas. In
- 12:35Speaker 1: recent weeks, the committee has heard from Microsoft co-founder Bill
- 12:38Speaker 1: Gates and two of Epstein's former assistants, Sarah Kellen and
- 12:42Speaker 1: Leslie Groff. Later this summer, interviews were scheduled with former
- 12:46Speaker 1: Obama White House counsel, Catherine Rumler, former Epstein attorney, Alan Dershowitz,
- 12:52Speaker 1: and Epstein's former private banker at JPMorgan Chase, Jess Daly. Huh.
- 12:58Speaker 1: No Philippe, huh? Okay, I guess the guy that signed
- 13:01Speaker 1: the NPA, we don't need to talk to him, huh?
- 13:04Speaker 1: No Marie Villafana? That's interesting. What about Barry Krischer? Notice
- 13:09Speaker 1: they want nothing to do with the NPA? Ask yourself why.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Comer has indicated that a report on the investigation's findings
- 13:18Speaker 1: will be issued by the end of the year. And
- 13:20Speaker 1: I bet you that shit's going to read like a comedy.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Considering Comer has no stones and considering he has no teeth,
- 13:29Speaker 1: does anyone really think that the end report's going to
- 13:31Speaker 1: be scathing? I doubt it. Maybe for some of the
- 13:35Speaker 1: administration's enemies, but not overall. Now look, I hope to
- 13:39Speaker 1: come back after the report's released and have a different
- 13:42Speaker 1: tune to sing. But as of right now, I'll remain skeptical.
- 13:46Speaker 1: So we'll see where it all goes. And once we
- 13:49Speaker 1: get that transcript, we'll get to see what Doug Band
- 13:51Speaker 1: actually said. So until then, that's going to do it
- 13:54Speaker 1: for this one. All the information that goes with this
- 13:57Speaker 1: episode can be found in the description box.
