- 1:16Speaker 2: day and make prayer a priority in your life. Our
- 1:20Speaker 2: goal again for today's meditative prayer is fighting anxiety. So
- 1:24Speaker 2: find yourself a location where you can let your guard
- 1:27Speaker 2: down and relax. Now take a moment to slow down
- 1:32Speaker 2: and to just decompress. Tune out everything else. Breathe in
- 1:38Speaker 2: deep through your nose and exhale out through your mouth,
- 1:44Speaker 2: letting go of the tension coiled in your body. Reach
- 1:48Speaker 2: out towards God with your mind. Today we'll be meditating
- 1:52Speaker 2: on Proverbs 18, Chapter 12, verse 25 from the King
- 1:56Speaker 2: James Version, which says, Heaviness in the heart of a
- 1:59Speaker 2: man maketh it stoop, but a good word maketh it glad.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Now take a moment to pour out your adoration to
- 2:07Speaker 2: God for his wisdom. God, I thank you that you
- 2:11Speaker 2: are wise beyond compare. Your knowledge permeates the heavens and
- 2:15Speaker 2: the earth. By your infinite wisdom, you called the galaxies
- 2:20Speaker 2: into existence and spoke creation into being. I exalt you,
- 2:26Speaker 2: for none can compare to your greatness. I praise you, Lord,
- 2:31Speaker 2: for you give wisdom, knowledge, and understanding come from your mouth.
- 2:37Speaker 2: A good word will encourage the heart. When you feel
- 2:40Speaker 2: anxious and oppressed, you can find refuge and sound advice.
- 2:45Speaker 2: A friend who will speak the truth in love or
- 2:47Speaker 2: a fellow believer acquainted with your quandary. Friends and family
- 2:52Speaker 2: are an amazing support system. but certain issues can only
- 2:55Speaker 2: be addressed by the Holy Spirit. The knowledge of the
- 2:59Speaker 2: Holy Spirit is incomparable, for there is no greater wisdom
- 3:03Speaker 2: than what is found in Scripture. Maybe you've been isolating
- 3:07Speaker 2: yourself from everything and everyone. This is your opportunity to
- 3:10Speaker 2: cleanse your heart. Be honest with yourself and with God
- 3:15Speaker 2: in prayer. Confess to the Holy Spirit the areas you
- 3:18Speaker 2: are struggling with. Think for a minute, on all the
- 3:23Speaker 2: times God provided you with a good word. Those moments
- 3:26Speaker 2: where God placed a friend in your life to speak
- 3:29Speaker 2: kindness over you. The times of confusion when you found
- 3:33Speaker 2: clarification in Christ. Situations where heaviness and isolation threatened to
- 3:39Speaker 2: overwhelm you, but the Holy Spirit ministered to you. Thank
- 3:44Speaker 2: God for past situations He reached out to you when
- 3:48Speaker 2: He removed your heaviness and your weariness. And thank God
- 3:53Speaker 2: because his goodness is eternal and he will always be
- 3:56Speaker 2: there for you. God is present and he's listening to you.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Going through life without experiencing a heavy heart is unavoidable.
- 4:07Speaker 2: God never said life wouldn't feel overwhelming, but quite the opposite.
- 4:11Speaker 2: He promised that at times it would. Do not allow
- 4:15Speaker 2: this to discourage you. God promised he would always reassure you.
- 4:21Speaker 2: The Holy Spirit is on your side. He wants to
- 4:24Speaker 2: help you. So be bold and ask Him. Ask the
- 4:29Speaker 2: Holy Spirit to speak to you through God's Word. Ask
- 4:33Speaker 2: Him to help you understand and process the Bible when
- 4:35Speaker 2: you read it. And ask Him to help you apply
- 4:39Speaker 2: the knowledge you gain for this as wisdom. Ask Jesus
- 4:43Speaker 2: to speak to your heart, for you have to have
- 4:45Speaker 2: a desire to spend time with His Word. a desire
- 4:50Speaker 2: that will overcome fatigue and disinterest. Remember, you can always
- 4:56Speaker 2: find an encouraging word in the Bible, even if the
- 4:59Speaker 2: word is of correction, for correction prunes bad behavior and
- 5:05Speaker 2: produces good fruit. So do not fear. God has good
- 5:09Speaker 2: things for your life. Trust in God and the power
- 5:14Speaker 2: and promise of his word. And don't forget, God is
- 5:18Speaker 2: in your corner, And he's cheering for you. My friends,
- 5:22Speaker 2: thank you for completing today's meditative prayer on Pray.com. By
