Georgetown-Lewes Trail Nearly Complete | Dover News
The final six miles of Delaware’s iconic Georgetown-Lewes Trail are nearly complete, set to open this fall and making it the state’s longest continuous path. After a decade of work and a $17.5 million investment, the trail will stretch from Cape Henlopen State Park to Fisher Road, offering shaded, paved comfort for runners and walkers — especially during hot days. DelDOT is finalizing the exact opening date, but soon hikers and joggers will be able to hit the full 11 miles without turning around.
