- 0:03SPEAKER_00: Hello everyone, I hope you've had a beautiful week.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: In today's episode, we're going to be talking about generational trauma and how it helps to ingrain the core karmic lesson deeper into the psyche.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: Generational trauma occurs mostly via familial taught notions with a sprinkling of epigenetics on top.
- 0:23SPEAKER_00: What generational trauma really is, is egoic programming.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: Generational trauma is the psychological and emotional impact of traumas that are passed down from one generation to the next.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: This can be any type of trauma, from emotional and psychological as just stated, to physical and biological trauma, which is where epigenetics come into play.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: For example, if you're pregnant and encounter something incredibly stressful during your pregnancy, the stress hormone of cortisol will pass down into the fetus and affect how your child copes in the future with their own ego stress.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: If your father was a smoker for the majority of his life but quit a year before you were born, his sperm was affected prior to fertilization and influenced gene expression by causing epigenetic changes to that sperm.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: Therefore, if you are now a smoker, even though you never grew up with parents who smoked, this is most likely why.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: Epigenetics are a type of genetic tag that latch onto your DNA and are only activated with repeating lifestyles, habits, or health.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: Now, when it comes to ingraining the core karmic lesson, this is where generational trauma really excels.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: For example, let's say that you have a core karmic lesson of self-worth, and your generational trauma has been dealing with racism for a century.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: Your family, and society in this case, continuously program your ego to notice anything that could be portrayed as racism, judge others and yourself with a filter of racism, and tell you stories regarding how your ancestors lived and what they dealt with.
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: This, mixed with your core karm lesson, has you feeling less than, just simply by the color of your skin.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: It doesn't matter if you haven't personally experienced anything traumatic because you already have the innate trauma of having no worth simply due to your ancestors.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: Not to mention, as spoken about previously, the stress that your mother felt whilst pregnant with you in this story has not provided you with the tools to properly cope with the anticipatory racism that you may encounter.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: On top of this, as you age, your core karmic lesson of self-worth gets re-triggered every time you are pinned against someone who does not physically look like you, because you not only intrinsically feel less than, but have been inadvertently told that you're less than, simply by having generational trauma stories repeated to you.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: Now let's say that you have the core karmic lesson of self-love, and your generational trauma has been dealing with obesity for decades.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: Your family, and again society in this case, continuously program your ego to body shame others, body shame yourself, be jealous, hate how you look, have an eating disorder, judge all body types, and have expectations that you will always be judged based on your body's disposition.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: This generational trauma, mixed with your core karmic lesson of self-love, has you hating yourself simply due to the percentage of body fat that you have naturally.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: It doesn't matter if you grew up or are growing up during a time that all body sizes are accepted, because you already have the innate trauma of having no self-love because of the stories you've been told by your family.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: And again, as spoken about previously with regards to epigenetics, if there is a predisposition for your family to indulge in food as a stress-coping mechanism, you will or have most likely developed the same mechanisms just by being born.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: On top of this, as you hit puberty and begin being interested in romantic relationships, your core karmic lesson of self-love will continuously be triggered based on the already present body-hating lens that your ego is filtering through.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: And lastly, let's say that you have a core karmic lesson of non-attachment.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: Growing up, you were poor and your family, going back decades, have always been poor.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: You are told that those with money will always step on you.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: You will be overlooked simply because of where you come from.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: You will never be able to leave poverty because it's never been done by your relatives and there are no opportunities for you.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: And on top of this, you are the youngest of your siblings and have never had anything new or of your own.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: As you grow up, your entire mission is to leave behind the world that you came from, and you scrape and claw your way out successfully.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: But anytime there is even an inkling of fear that you could lose a job or lose a relationship or lose a possession, your ego spirals into thinking that you will end up back where your family is, and they were right, you will never escape the life that they led.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: So you hold on tighter to what you have.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: You judge others based on their financial situation and only surround yourself with those with whom you egoically aspire to be like.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: You live your life so attached to everything in your 3D that you are perpetually in fight or flight mode with the fear that it could be taken away from you at any second, solely based on the stories your family told you growing up.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: As you can hear from these stories, generational trauma is a mixture of epigenetics with regards to predispositions or how you naturally cope with things, and egoic programming that your family has told you.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: Remember that your family are soul family as well, and their jobs are to not only show you symptom karmic lessons, but also to instill the core karmic lesson.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: Whether you utilize the term generational trauma or not, it's specifically egoic programming mixed with potential biological attributes.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: Because that's the thing with epigenetics.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: It acts as a marker on your DNA, but it's not a definite.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: You can always reprogram the ego and you can always learn mindfulness and non attachment in order to help combat whatever egoic fluctuations come your way.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: Until next week, all of my best and highest vibrations to you.
