- 0:03Speaker 1: with our radio. Hello everyone, welcome to the Almost Famous podcast.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Will you where you get me? Ashley I, Ken Eddie
- 0:12Speaker 1: and you get Ben Higgins who is the wonderful, magical, romantic, sexy, wonderful,
- 0:19Speaker 1: um smart, intelligent, emotionally um and tuned, former Bachelor and
- 0:27Speaker 1: fantastic wonderful podcast host. You had to say wonderful three
- 0:32Speaker 1: times just because there isn't any other words to like
- 0:35Speaker 1: come up with your like, I'm just stretching here for
- 0:37Speaker 1: anything good to say about this guy. Oh hey, actually
- 0:41Speaker 1: you kne who else is wonderful? Thanks? Who? Uh? Trista
- 0:46Speaker 1: and Bob Guinea. We haven't talked about them in a while.
- 0:49Speaker 1: They're rock they do our they of our podcast. They're
- 0:52Speaker 1: rocking and rolling. I just got off a meeting uh
- 0:55Speaker 1: last night talking about them like. They're killing it and
- 0:58Speaker 1: they have great interviews with really intriguing people. If you
- 1:01Speaker 1: haven't checked out Almost Famous, O G. I think, I mean,
- 1:05Speaker 1: I think it's worth I definitely know it's worth the time.
- 1:08Speaker 1: It's a good show and the two of them together
- 1:12Speaker 1: are really good. But Ben, Um, what kind of meeting
- 1:15Speaker 1: did you have about them? That I wasn't on Actually
- 1:20Speaker 1: I didn't have a meeting. I was just lying to
- 1:21Speaker 1: try to make it. Jeez. Oh, I love it. I
- 1:27Speaker 1: love catching Betted moments like that. So funny. But okay, yeah,
- 1:34Speaker 1: they are amazing. Sometimes I'll see the Instagram for the
- 1:36Speaker 1: O G s and I'll be like, wait a second,
- 1:39Speaker 1: why didn't we get that that guess like I want Claire,
- 1:42Speaker 1: I want so and so. And then I was like, oh,
- 1:44Speaker 1: you know what, I'm glad that Tristan Bob did it.
- 1:48Speaker 1: I am too, well, I'm just glad that. I'm just
- 1:49Speaker 1: glad they're doing it, like they're just getting it done.
- 1:52Speaker 1: They're back in the game again. It's good to see
- 1:55Speaker 1: those faces come back because I think as we move
- 1:57Speaker 1: on from that, like what we would consider the golden
- 2:01Speaker 1: Age of the Bachelor, which we couldn't even put ourselves
- 2:04Speaker 1: necessarily in that like age because I really think it
- 2:07Speaker 1: was the Bob Guineas and the Tristas and the Andrew
- 2:10Speaker 1: you man, but we definitely were also part of a
- 2:13Speaker 1: golden age. Wee that you want to call it the
- 2:15Speaker 1: first dynasty or the second we were part of one
- 2:17Speaker 1: of them, well we were, we were, but it's just
- 2:19Speaker 1: the show has changed so much that now it's good
- 2:21Speaker 1: to get back to hearing what it was about back then. Ashley,
- 2:26Speaker 1: I gotta give a little, uh, a little warning here.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I'm sick, and I'm sick, so I'm in and out
- 2:34Speaker 1: a lot. I was in Vegas this weekend, and you
- 2:37Speaker 1: would think I would be You would think I would
- 2:39Speaker 1: be sick from like, you know, what people typically do
- 2:43Speaker 1: in Vegas. I haven't consumed any alcohol, um, other than
- 2:47Speaker 1: the very first night I was there. Well, I know
- 2:49Speaker 1: I did at the basketball game a little bit. I did.
- 2:52Speaker 1: It's not a hangover. I got something bad, and um,
- 2:57Speaker 1: most people in the trip did. It's just I think
- 3:00Speaker 1: it's just a very like Jeremy time of the year
- 3:02Speaker 1: to be anywhere, especially in Vegas. But we went with
- 3:05Speaker 1: my buddy Brandon, who we've talked about many times on here,
- 3:08Speaker 1: who has a ls uh big EU basketball fans. So
- 3:12Speaker 1: ten of us met people from all over the country
- 3:14Speaker 1: in Vegas, went to U basketball game. Saw I you
- 3:16Speaker 1: just get absolutely smacked by Arizona. Um. But we had
- 3:21Speaker 1: a great time. But I don't feel great now. I'm
- 3:25Speaker 1: pretty tired. I'm so sorry. Then, you honestly sound and
- 3:28Speaker 1: look very normal, I showered for this. Uh isn't it
- 3:33Speaker 1: amazing what a shower can do when you don't feel good?
- 3:36Speaker 1: It is you want to hear, You want to hear
- 3:38Speaker 1: some secret about my life. When we remodeled our our
- 3:41Speaker 1: master bathroom, the one to remind everybody had carpeting. Yeah,
- 3:45Speaker 1: carpet all over the bathroom, like I mean, there was
- 3:48Speaker 1: carpet up around the toilet, which is just wild. Um,
- 3:52Speaker 1: So we remodeled that bathroom. We bought this house. I
- 3:55Speaker 1: decided that for um, it's actually not very expensive if
- 3:58Speaker 1: we find the right brand, and it was already plumbed
- 4:01Speaker 1: for it. We put a steam shower in our master.
- 4:04Speaker 1: So we bought a steam like machine and so now
- 4:07Speaker 1: our shower turns into a steam room. Small, but it's
- 4:09Speaker 1: great and it's a good luxury. I love just sitting there,
- 4:14Speaker 1: and I said it all morning. I mean I was
- 4:16Speaker 1: just in there sitting that is so amazing for a
- 4:19Speaker 1: moment like this, a moment like this, Do you guys
- 4:24Speaker 1: know what else is a little luxurious gift, just like
- 4:26Speaker 1: on making your bathroom feel like a spa. It's not promoted.
- 4:30Speaker 1: I don't know why I thought it. Well, I know
- 4:32Speaker 1: why I thought that you were talking about little luxuries.
- 4:36Speaker 1: There's like a forty dollar towel warmer on Amazon, and
- 4:40Speaker 1: you keep it in your Yeah, you keep it in
- 4:42Speaker 1: your bathroom. You plug it in, you put the towel
- 4:45Speaker 1: in there for like ten minutes, and then when you
- 4:46Speaker 1: get out of the shower, it's toasty. It seems like
- 4:49Speaker 1: my Christmas gifts to my wife. She's going to freak out.
- 4:52Speaker 1: It sounds like you could also just use the dryer.
- 4:55Speaker 1: But let's be real, when you put a towel in
- 4:58Speaker 1: the dryer, it's cozy and ho for like twenty seconds,
- 5:02Speaker 1: right this thing. And it's a lot of energy to
- 5:04Speaker 1: use the dryer every time, like just but you know,
- 5:06Speaker 1: like this thing, I'm sure uses a lot less energy.
- 5:08Speaker 1: So when you throw a town the dryer, you're using
- 5:11Speaker 1: a ton of energy. So this is this makes a
- 5:13Speaker 1: ton of sense. This is a great little so true Ashley.
- 5:18Speaker 1: It is off season for the Almost Famous podcast. The
- 5:21Speaker 1: show is not airing, so I want to spend a
- 5:23Speaker 1: little time today, um talking to you about some shows
- 5:27Speaker 1: that are currently out there on streaming or television that
- 5:31Speaker 1: you and Jared are enjoying. Uh. We just finished uh
- 5:34Speaker 1: from scratch Jessicabald I would uh, I'd say it was
- 5:39Speaker 1: a good show. It's very emotional. We started then last
- 5:42Speaker 1: night because I was in bed early The White Lotus
- 5:45Speaker 1: season two, which we've enjoyed season one. Yellow Stone obviously
- 5:50Speaker 1: is a favorite in this household. Um. And then I've
- 5:54Speaker 1: also started a show called Dead to Me on flights
- 5:57Speaker 1: because I can download it. Dead to Me has Christina
- 5:59Speaker 1: Apple Gay um, and it's a it's a good show. Actually,
- 6:03Speaker 1: I want to spend about I don't know, seven minutes
- 6:06Speaker 1: here because this is mostly for myself. What shows are
- 6:08Speaker 1: you watching? What shows do you recommend out there? What
- 6:11Speaker 1: shows if you heard that are good? Well? Jared and
- 6:14Speaker 1: I don't watch shows together, which I'm sure I've mentioned before,
- 6:18Speaker 1: but this is like our one relationship downfall. It's very frustrating.
- 6:22Speaker 1: I would love to bench a show with him, just
- 6:24Speaker 1: like for like our hour or so alone together at night,
- 6:27Speaker 1: be really great, like bond over a show and then
- 6:29Speaker 1: be able to speculate what's ahead. He doesn't watch TV shows.
- 6:33Speaker 1: It's super annoying. He like wants a plot to be
- 6:37Speaker 1: started and finished within three hours tops. So I watched
- 6:42Speaker 1: them by myself. Jared, it's funny, you know, like he
- 6:45Speaker 1: can watch hours and hours of football, but like can't
- 6:47Speaker 1: watch hours and hours of a plot whatever. So yes,
- 6:51Speaker 1: actually I started White Lotus last night as well, because everybody,
- 6:56Speaker 1: you know, I watched the first season last year, and um,
- 6:59Speaker 1: once I kind of we're like week's into it, I
- 7:02Speaker 1: was like, you know what, I'll just start it when
- 7:03Speaker 1: it's over, and everybody keeps talking about the finale. And
- 7:07Speaker 1: it's funny because White load this is like the show
- 7:09Speaker 1: that everybody says like, oh, you know, nothing happens, but
- 7:12Speaker 1: for some reason, I'm entrenched by it. So it is
- 7:15Speaker 1: a little bit hard to like get into when you're sleepy.
- 7:17Speaker 1: So I fell asleep fifteen minutes into it, but I
- 7:20Speaker 1: will get through it. The last show I watched start
- 7:23Speaker 1: to finish besides The Kardashians, which duh, it was The
- 7:28Speaker 1: Handmaid Sale. Uh. That season I binged. There was like
- 7:32Speaker 1: thirteen episodes and I got through it in a week,
- 7:34Speaker 1: and I was really impressed. It was really good. It
- 7:37Speaker 1: was a good season, especially since the past couple have
- 7:40Speaker 1: been like sneezers, what are you watching that you'd like
- 7:43Speaker 1: to talk about? I mean Yellowstone. I think Yellowstone is
- 7:45Speaker 1: an incredible show that has something for everybody. We always
- 7:49Speaker 1: look forward Jessica as a couple loved ted lasts, so
- 7:51Speaker 1: I think most people do. We watch a lot of
- 7:53Speaker 1: the shows that we here are good. Um. And usually
- 7:58Speaker 1: my wife is very sensitive to what she sees on television,
- 8:02Speaker 1: very pure soul, that girl. And so we have to
- 8:05Speaker 1: like watch something that isn't too intense. And if we
- 8:09Speaker 1: watch something too intense, that we gotta like follow it
- 8:11Speaker 1: up with something like funny and lighthearted and easy. Um,
- 8:16Speaker 1: I will tell you a show, uh, and then we
- 8:19Speaker 1: can move on from this that is a secret really
- 8:22Speaker 1: funny good show. I think it's called like American Auto
- 8:27Speaker 1: or something. It was only Peacock. Um. So we usually
- 8:31Speaker 1: watch that to like clear the mind before she head
- 8:34Speaker 1: to the bet. But those are the big shows out
- 8:37Speaker 1: there right now on streaming. And I saw somebody other
- 8:40Speaker 1: day tweet like, what are the good shows that are
- 8:43Speaker 1: out there this time of year in the winter, um,
- 8:47Speaker 1: And I thought it would be important today to kind
- 8:49Speaker 1: of go through some of the stuff we're watching so
- 8:51Speaker 1: that if you haven't seen some of it, you would,
- 8:53Speaker 1: you know, tune in, check in, find a way to
- 8:55Speaker 1: distract yourself from the cold storms that are gonna be
- 8:59Speaker 1: hitting you this week. Um, do you as gonna get
- 9:02Speaker 1: really cold really fast? I also was very excited to
- 9:07Speaker 1: find out that my one of my favorite movies is
- 9:10Speaker 1: now a series on Peacock that starts in like a
- 9:12Speaker 1: week best Man in Best Man Holiday, have your Investman Holiday.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Oh my god, don't you love it. It's just it's
- 9:21Speaker 1: just great. It's just like great character development and like
- 9:23Speaker 1: great relationships, very real. Yeah, that is a good one.
- 9:26Speaker 1: We just I know we're going back for We just
- 9:28Speaker 1: watched four Christmas Is the other day and it with
- 9:32Speaker 1: Vince v. Yeah. That movie made me giggle start to finish.
- 9:38Speaker 1: I was giggling, giggling. How many times have do you
- 9:43Speaker 1: watch hum alone during a Christmas season? Because I think
- 9:46Speaker 1: I watched it four times in the the past, like
- 9:49Speaker 1: twelve days. So Christmas is all about We've watched it too.
- 9:52Speaker 1: It's a good one. Actually, we have a lot coming
- 9:55Speaker 1: up here on the podcast, a lot of big breaking
- 9:58Speaker 1: news U headlines to get to. Uh you know this
- 10:04Speaker 1: is leading up to Christmas season or holiday season, I
- 10:07Speaker 1: should say, but you know it's it's also a time
- 10:12Speaker 1: where you would typically uh spend time with family again
- 10:17Speaker 1: last week on the episode, we talked about some ways
- 10:18Speaker 1: that you can do good for the people in your area.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Help some people, help some people feel connected. I think
- 10:23Speaker 1: that's something to remind everybody of, especially this week. I'm
- 10:27Speaker 1: heading to Honduras here at the end of this week,
- 10:32Speaker 1: um to to check on some things down there. I'm
- 10:34Speaker 1: gonna be down there for a few days. And went
- 10:36Speaker 1: ahead and meet up with my family a little islanding
- 10:39Speaker 1: called Rheaton just outside of Honduras. It's gonna be a great,
- 10:43Speaker 1: a great holiday down there. But just as you're spending
- 10:48Speaker 1: time with family this week, as you're getting prep for
- 10:50Speaker 1: the holidays, you're probably out buying your last minute gifts,
- 10:52Speaker 1: don't forget about the people in your communities that could
- 10:56Speaker 1: do some help as well. Well. With that switched, it's
- 11:00Speaker 1: time for Bachelor headlines. Take a break, we come back.
- 11:03Speaker 1: We're going to talk about Tia Booth, We headlined about
- 11:06Speaker 1: Nick Vile, talk about Clayton Eckard. We have some big headlines.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Stay tuned, and we're back with headlines. I think the
- 11:26Speaker 1: biggest headline this week is definitely that Tia had her baby. Yeah,
- 11:30Speaker 1: so here's the headline. Bachelor Nations Tia Booth and fiance
- 11:33Speaker 1: Taylor welcome first child, a baby boy. This according to
- 11:37Speaker 1: US Weekly. So she posted on into story a couple,
- 11:42Speaker 1: you know, like a week ago, I guess that she
- 11:44Speaker 1: was having contractions during their last date night, and I
- 11:47Speaker 1: was like, oh my god, it's so excited. It's so
- 11:49Speaker 1: funny because before I had a kid, I was like,
- 11:53Speaker 1: oh God, directions, that's so nerves bucking. You feel so
- 11:57Speaker 1: bad for her, and now I feel excited for her.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Just so fun But it's probably because I had a
- 12:01Speaker 1: good birth experience. We've yet to know about TIA's birth experience.
- 12:05Speaker 1: She hasn't told that story, which is now like such
- 12:07Speaker 1: a thing to talk about on Instagram these days, but
- 12:10Speaker 1: she is documenting a lot of their life together with
- 12:13Speaker 1: the baby. She's posted on Instagram this morning that they
- 12:16Speaker 1: were like up every hour and a half of him.
- 12:19Speaker 1: But you're definitely at that phase where it's just like
- 12:21Speaker 1: it doesn't even matter. It doesn't matter. It's like adorable
- 12:24Speaker 1: when they wake up and they're not screening when they
- 12:26Speaker 1: wake up, it's like it's like nothing. Brace yourself for
- 12:31Speaker 1: the ear pinching sounds to come. But the baby's name
- 12:36Speaker 1: is Tatum Booth. So her last name Mock and that's adorable.
- 12:40Speaker 1: I think it sounds really good together. I think Booth
- 12:42Speaker 1: is a pretty cool middle name for a kid. Her boy, Yeah,
- 12:47Speaker 1: Tatum Booth Mock Yeah, really cool. Can be a stud.
- 12:51Speaker 1: So she announced the birth with not a photo but
- 12:54Speaker 1: an Instagram like real. I guess it was as the
- 12:57Speaker 1: soundclip of her seeing me doing her baby for the
- 13:01Speaker 1: first time. She captioned it with the best day of
- 13:04Speaker 1: our lives. Um, so yeah, that's basically we've got so far.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Tia is keeping it real though on Instagram. So if
- 13:13Speaker 1: you're a mom, are interested in being a mom one day,
- 13:17Speaker 1: she's doing a great job documenting the realness that is
- 13:20Speaker 1: the first week or so of having a baby. She's
- 13:23Speaker 1: even showing her postpartum belly and you know how that
- 13:28Speaker 1: takes time to deflate. So yeah, there we go. Good
- 13:32Speaker 1: for Tia, good for Taylor. Congratulates two of them. It's
- 13:35Speaker 1: a big deal. Very excited for them. Here's the headline
- 13:38Speaker 1: about Nick. The question is she seems like it's still
- 13:42Speaker 1: a question. I don't know why, but would Bachelor Nations
- 13:45Speaker 1: Nick Vile be up for a TV wedding with girlfriend
- 13:49Speaker 1: Natalie one day we talked about TV wedding glassly, yeah,
- 13:54Speaker 1: and we said that they don't really do them anymore
- 13:56Speaker 1: because they're awash. Well, it's always a question. I think
- 14:00Speaker 1: the question is like they would not these weddings probably
- 14:03Speaker 1: wouldn't happen with the actual Bachelor franchise, especially if it's
- 14:08Speaker 1: with somebody that is not part of the Bachelors like Natalie.
- 14:12Speaker 1: You know, that's like if you had to televise wedding
- 14:15Speaker 1: with the Bachelor, it's like that would make any sense. No,
- 14:17Speaker 1: it wouldn't make any sense. Like it's like that wasn't
- 14:20Speaker 1: your journey with her? No, you just want to But
- 14:23Speaker 1: I would be down for them to air my wedding.
- 14:25Speaker 1: If they would have paid for my wedding, that had
- 14:27Speaker 1: been cool. Well would you have you been talking about
- 14:31Speaker 1: that for a second? No, he said, no, Okay, yeah,
- 14:35Speaker 1: I wouldn't to be there. I guess it matters. I mean,
- 14:37Speaker 1: I guess I guess it matters how much money they
- 14:40Speaker 1: were willing to pay. Sure astronomical stupid money, then yeah,
- 14:44Speaker 1: I guess yes, No not, I guess if it was
- 14:49Speaker 1: astronomical stupid money, then yes. But I am so glad
- 14:55Speaker 1: that we did not have a TV wedding. Everything's documented
- 15:00Speaker 1: for us in the most perfect way. We watched our
- 15:03Speaker 1: wedding video on our first anniversary. Yeah, that was awesome.
- 15:07Speaker 1: It was the first time we'd watched it. We saved it. Yeah,
- 15:10Speaker 1: we saved it the first time you watched it. We did.
- 15:12Speaker 1: We saved all year to our first anniversary and we
- 15:14Speaker 1: watched together. Well, that's sweet. That's super sweet. That must
- 15:18Speaker 1: have been really emotional. I cred a lot, just cred,
- 15:21Speaker 1: but I cred a lot. It was very emotional. Will
- 15:24Speaker 1: you ever share this video for us to see? I
- 15:27Speaker 1: think we could. I think it'd be great too. Yeah.
- 15:29Speaker 1: I don't know how to do that, but yeah, I
- 15:30Speaker 1: think we could do that. You could put it on YouTube.
- 15:33Speaker 1: You can put it on a long Instagram video. How
- 15:35Speaker 1: long is it? It's like an hour long? Oh so
- 15:39Speaker 1: you're talking about like all the footage. Did you have
- 15:41Speaker 1: like a movie made, like an hour movie? Yeah, it
- 15:44Speaker 1: was like a movie. It was like showed the whole
- 15:46Speaker 1: ceremony and then like clips of the evening together. It's
- 15:50Speaker 1: really good. I would I mean, I don't mind anybody
- 15:52Speaker 1: seeing it. Um, I just don't typically know how to
- 15:55Speaker 1: upload that stuff, so I'd have to get some help
- 15:57Speaker 1: from the outside. Don't know, like a grandpa. You don't
- 16:00Speaker 1: know how to upload a YouTube video. No, I have
- 16:03Speaker 1: no clue how to upload a YouTube video. Then I don't.
- 16:06Speaker 1: I promise you I don't. It's very simple. Literally, you
- 16:10Speaker 1: sign in and then there's a button that says upload
- 16:12Speaker 1: video and attach it. I don't have a YouTube account,
- 16:16Speaker 1: but one day I will. You have a Gmail, don't you?
- 16:20Speaker 1: Therefore you have a Google account something every day? Okay, anyway,
- 16:25Speaker 1: I'm not gonna grill you anymore. This is what Nick says.
- 16:28Speaker 1: He said, I don't know. I don't know if anyone
- 16:33Speaker 1: would want to have the wedding on TV. Um, But
- 16:36Speaker 1: as long as people I love are there, that's all
- 16:39Speaker 1: I really care about. They, to be clear, have not
- 16:44Speaker 1: gotten engaged yet. I'm sure it will happen soon. Um.
- 16:49Speaker 1: He says that he's always that. They also went on
- 16:53Speaker 1: to ask him if he wasn't going to have a
- 16:54Speaker 1: televised wedding, would he ever have a document, you know, docuseries,
- 16:57Speaker 1: a reality show with Natalie. He said, I don't see
- 17:01Speaker 1: that in our cards. I'm always fascinated by the content
- 17:04Speaker 1: world and the opportunities out there, so you never know,
- 17:07Speaker 1: but I don't think that's something we're prioritizing or have
- 17:11Speaker 1: even talked about, to be honest. And Nick's just really
- 17:15Speaker 1: spending this time of year and often he's a mush ball.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Now that he's with Natalie, he says he's has so
- 17:23Speaker 1: much to be grateful for, first and foremost, his family,
- 17:25Speaker 1: his siblings, his parents, Natalie and his dog Jeff, my
- 17:29Speaker 1: family and them, UM and everything that we've been able
- 17:33Speaker 1: to accomplish. Um. I'm thankful for my team and UM
- 17:37Speaker 1: all the people around me, and just thankful I get
- 17:39Speaker 1: to do what I love. And I could go on
- 17:42Speaker 1: and on, but I have a lot to be thankful for.
- 17:44Speaker 1: That's nice, he sure does. Uh. Next headline is about
- 17:48Speaker 1: Clayton Eckard. He reveals whether he still talks to Susie Evans,
- 17:54Speaker 1: if you just remind you Susie and Clayton were together
- 17:57Speaker 1: after his season of the Bachelor, and if he'd ever
- 18:01Speaker 1: go on The Bachelor in Paradise This according to Bachelor Nation. Okay,
- 18:07Speaker 1: he says a couple of things here. Bullet point number one, Yes,
- 18:10Speaker 1: he talks to Susie. It's not very serious. It's not like,
- 18:12Speaker 1: you know, they're great friends. That go back and forth
- 18:15Speaker 1: via text all day long and sent tik talks to
- 18:16Speaker 1: each other, but they check in to each other from
- 18:19Speaker 1: time to time. He says, we're friends. Things are great.
- 18:21Speaker 1: I love her and I love her family, and of
- 18:24Speaker 1: course I wish her nothing but the best. He's also
- 18:28Speaker 1: goes on to say that she's an incredible woman and
- 18:30Speaker 1: is going to make someone extremely happy one day. He
- 18:34Speaker 1: also talks about going on Bachelor in Paradise, which he
- 18:37Speaker 1: says he's not actively considering it right now, but dot
- 18:42Speaker 1: dot dot later. That's interesting, Huh. I thought he was
- 18:45Speaker 1: going to say a flat out now because he's certainly
- 18:49Speaker 1: never acted as if he I think he should too,
- 18:51Speaker 1: but he certainly never acted like it was a positive
- 18:53Speaker 1: experience for him. So you know, but but yeah, he's
- 18:57Speaker 1: he seems open to it. Can we also say that
- 19:01Speaker 1: after seeing Jason Tarjek's post with him this week, I
- 19:04Speaker 1: don't why did you catch those reels where Jason asked
- 19:08Speaker 1: did you make more money before the Bachelor as a
- 19:11Speaker 1: medical sales rep or as the Bachelor? You know in
- 19:14Speaker 1: your gear after it? And he said he made more
- 19:17Speaker 1: money as a medical sales rep. So I was thinking
- 19:19Speaker 1: like he was going to say go back to work. Yeah,
- 19:24Speaker 1: like he would go back to work, but apparently he
- 19:27Speaker 1: is having a great time with his career right now.
- 19:30Speaker 1: He says that The Bachelor was able to give him
- 19:33Speaker 1: a platform that was able to allow him to do
- 19:36Speaker 1: what really makes him happy. He says he's currently chasing,
- 19:39Speaker 1: chasing his passions on speaking of mental health, nationally, impacting
- 19:44Speaker 1: others through online personal training, and using the platform to
- 19:47Speaker 1: share resources to help others in their struggles. All three
- 19:50Speaker 1: of these possibilities wouldn't be possible without the platform I
- 19:54Speaker 1: was given, and I feel like I found my purpose.
- 19:57Speaker 1: So the answer is yes, um, he yeah, he's just
- 20:02Speaker 1: he's just happy for the positive outcomes that came from
- 20:06Speaker 1: being The Bachelor and says that he's happier now than
- 20:10Speaker 1: he has been in a very long time. Good for him, No,
- 20:13Speaker 1: it's good. It's not you know, obviously it's not about
- 20:16Speaker 1: the money. Uh. It is shocking. I think it's changed
- 20:19Speaker 1: a lot here recently where the leads coming off the show,
- 20:23Speaker 1: especially the men, aren't really finding the opportunities that maybe
- 20:27Speaker 1: they once did. I think it's just kind of time
- 20:31Speaker 1: of uh, you know, you know, who's watching the show,
- 20:34Speaker 1: how many people are watching the show. They used to
- 20:36Speaker 1: be like I heard Clayton in that interview say like
- 20:39Speaker 1: he was people were saying, hey, you're gonna make millions.
- 20:41Speaker 1: Well that's I mean, that's not always true. Um, but
- 20:47Speaker 1: typically there are good opportunities for that first year, second
- 20:50Speaker 1: year that where you can really start to find your groove.
- 20:52Speaker 1: But I just think it's a different season for the show, which,
- 20:55Speaker 1: you know, from the contestants standpoint, probably disappointing and a
- 20:59Speaker 1: little frustrating because are giving up a lot of to
- 21:00Speaker 1: go on the show. From a fan standpoint, I actually
- 21:04Speaker 1: if I take away, you know, and just say I'm
- 21:07Speaker 1: a fan, I am really excited about it because people
- 21:10Speaker 1: no longer going to be able to go on the
- 21:11Speaker 1: show strictly to try to get famous, strictly to try
- 21:14Speaker 1: to be influencers, Like they're gonna have to go back
- 21:16Speaker 1: to going on the show for the reason of trying
- 21:19Speaker 1: to find love. And I think that is going to
- 21:21Speaker 1: be a good switch with intentions of people. Um, you know,
- 21:27Speaker 1: so who knows it, ebbs and flows. But right now
- 21:30Speaker 1: we're definitely in a season where if you're coming off
- 21:32Speaker 1: the show, you're not just getting handed every gig, every opportunity,
- 21:35Speaker 1: every rag carpet, every show hosting, every thing you can do.
- 21:39Speaker 1: This does not happening. For sure, for sure, it's not happening.
- 21:53Speaker 1: Bachelor's star Ari Liondyke, he's in our headlines two weeks
- 21:57Speaker 1: in a row. Last week he was in the headlines
- 21:58Speaker 1: for burning his in Thiaga shoes. But Ari and Brandy
- 22:04Speaker 1: Glanville join reality stars to compete in a new show,
- 22:08Speaker 1: The Traders. This according to Yahoo, So The Traders to
- 22:12Speaker 1: me sounds like it's Big Brother celebrity edition. We don't
- 22:17Speaker 1: have a ton of detail. It is hosted by Alan
- 22:21Speaker 1: Cumming and it's being publicized as a psychological adventure in
- 22:27Speaker 1: which treachery and dissent are the name of the game.
- 22:32Speaker 1: Their celebrities and non celebrities, and they come together to
- 22:35Speaker 1: compete in a series of challenges with the objective of
- 22:39Speaker 1: earning a cash prize. Prizes can reach up to as
- 22:42Speaker 1: much as a quarter of a million dollars. Three of
- 22:47Speaker 1: the those twenty contestants will be known as the Traders,
- 22:52Speaker 1: and they will be plotting to steal the prize from
- 22:54Speaker 1: the rest of the group, dubbed the Faithful. So I
- 22:58Speaker 1: guess it's a little bit different than Big Brother UM.
- 23:01Speaker 1: It'll it'll be set in a remote castle in the
- 23:04Speaker 1: Scottish Highlands and it'll be a game chuck full of alliances,
- 23:09Speaker 1: deceptions and even murder. Well I don't think it says quote.
- 23:18Speaker 1: There's like a quote around murder, so who knows what
- 23:22Speaker 1: that'll mean. Maybe they'll get like captured into a dungeon
- 23:25Speaker 1: and considered murder. So it'll be interesting. I really like
- 23:28Speaker 1: aries poster, you know, his face shot whatever you want
- 23:33Speaker 1: to call it, what do you would you call it?
- 23:34Speaker 1: Like his head shot for the It's yeah, it's pretty cool.
- 23:40Speaker 1: So not only will Brandy Glanville be there, but lots
- 23:43Speaker 1: of people, not lots of but there's people contestants from Survivor,
- 23:47Speaker 1: Shahs of Sunset, Big Brother UM and Summer House, Real
- 23:53Speaker 1: Housewives and Olympic gold medalist Ryan Lockedy because lion Ryan
- 23:59Speaker 1: loves to do things. Like I was going to say,
- 24:01Speaker 1: he just shows up. Yeah, there'll be ten episodes and
- 24:07Speaker 1: they all start streaming, they all drop, they ll drop
- 24:10Speaker 1: on January. Well, actually we're getting more info on the
- 24:16Speaker 1: Peter Webber Kelly Flanagan relationship. The headline reads this, Peter
- 24:20Speaker 1: Webber and Kelly Flannagan give first joint interview since reconciliation.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Everything happens for a reason, they said this according to
- 24:28Speaker 1: US Weekly. I know. So they were at the Points
- 24:32Speaker 1: Guy Awards at Terminal five in New York City on Wednesday,
- 24:37Speaker 1: and they talked in the carpet and they said, it's
- 24:41Speaker 1: been really really special. This is Peter's words, really really special.
- 24:45Speaker 1: And I think we're both enjoying how it's been the
- 24:48Speaker 1: second time around, and things happen for a reason, and
- 24:50Speaker 1: I can say that I'm very, very happy. Also says
- 24:54Speaker 1: that his parents love it. They absolutely love the reunion,
- 24:59Speaker 1: and Kelly says that she's happy, genuinely happy. We get
- 25:06Speaker 1: along and connect, which is good. And I think coming
- 25:09Speaker 1: off the show, you go through a lot of stuff
- 25:11Speaker 1: that puts a lot of pressure on you, and this
- 25:14Speaker 1: time around, it's a lot more relaxed, so it's easier.
- 25:17Speaker 1: And they will not be spending the holidays together. Kelly's
- 25:22Speaker 1: eighty five year old dad is going through some health issues,
- 25:25Speaker 1: so she's going to spend the holidays with family as
- 25:27Speaker 1: much as she can, and Peter understands and it's very
- 25:30Speaker 1: supportive of that. She says, good for the two of them.
- 25:33Speaker 1: We'll follow that story, follow that relationship. Another Bachelor love
- 25:37Speaker 1: story forming. Even though it didn't fully happen on television,
- 25:40Speaker 1: it's happening outside of television. Ashley, that's all the headlines
- 25:44Speaker 1: we have today. Again, holiday season is upon us. Families
- 25:50Speaker 1: are going to be joined together, Friendships are going to
- 25:52Speaker 1: be coming together. You're gonna have some holiday parties. Don't
- 25:55Speaker 1: forget the people in your community that could use a
- 25:58Speaker 1: little love. And here the Almost Famous podcast wants to
- 26:02Speaker 1: support that and be behind that. Um So share your
- 26:04Speaker 1: stories if you uh, you know, brag about yourself a
- 26:07Speaker 1: little bit, uh, reach out to us, email us, find
- 26:11Speaker 1: us on Twitter, tell us what you're doing to care
- 26:14Speaker 1: for those around you. Well, that's all we have for
- 26:17Speaker 1: you today. Will be back next week breaking down another
- 26:20Speaker 1: week of Bachelor headlines, which is always fun. Getting prepped,
- 26:25Speaker 1: starting to get more prepped for this next season that's
- 26:27Speaker 1: coming up. We're gonna start talking about some of the
- 26:30Speaker 1: people that have been on the show, some of the
- 26:31Speaker 1: rumors flying around the show. How we think Zach's gonna do.
- 26:36Speaker 1: I uh, she will remain nameless, but I have spoken
- 26:41Speaker 1: to somebody that was on this season of the show.
- 26:44Speaker 1: I could probably share a few things of what we
- 26:46Speaker 1: talked about. Can you do that now? No, No, I'm
- 26:50Speaker 1: gonna wait till next week. No, let's have her on
- 26:53Speaker 1: and then we'll put one of those voice transformers on her.
- 26:56Speaker 1: That's so good that we can utilize that way more often.
- 27:00Speaker 1: How fun would be to have voice like transformers. We
- 27:04Speaker 1: could be the podcast that does that. Well is And
- 27:07Speaker 1: then I went on the show and I was eliminated
- 27:10Speaker 1: during Well, Um, I guess it's a week where it's
- 27:13Speaker 1: a beginning week. I will say this, Ash, I will
- 27:17Speaker 1: say one little him. Okay, okay, you got to give
- 27:22Speaker 1: us something because this season is not something that we're
- 27:24Speaker 1: all very thrilled about. I am. I am nervous that
- 27:30Speaker 1: our biggest questions and concerns about this season. Yeah, I'm
- 27:36Speaker 1: nervous about that. You mean that no girls are really
- 27:38Speaker 1: into him. I'll leave that with what I said. I
- 27:42Speaker 1: think our biggest concerns and questions maybe true, but it
- 27:47Speaker 1: is not that no girls are into to him. I
- 27:50Speaker 1: just I think, Um, I think we're gonna have to
- 27:54Speaker 1: have the cast really carry a heavy weight through this season.
- 28:00Speaker 1: I think I think it's going to have to be
- 28:02Speaker 1: a very cast that was Clayton too, like, why do
- 28:04Speaker 1: they keep doing this? Does gosh? Maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised.
- 28:08Speaker 1: I'll gather more info, um from a couple of people
- 28:12Speaker 1: this week so that we can talk about a little
- 28:14Speaker 1: more next week. I have some more details. I am
- 28:17Speaker 1: just nervous as of right now. Uh with that and
- 28:21Speaker 1: um and that that scares me a bit. I don't
- 28:24Speaker 1: I don't want to watch a show that it's just
- 28:26Speaker 1: like this is boring, But I don't think it will be.
- 28:29Speaker 1: They always find a way to shake it up. They
- 28:30Speaker 1: always find a way to bring in some dramas, some
- 28:33Speaker 1: love uh stories. Um, I just don't know. I don't
- 28:38Speaker 1: know if it's a home run. And I think one
- 28:40Speaker 1: of the other reasons I'd say that is because we
- 28:42Speaker 1: haven't heard from a lot of the people that usually
- 28:44Speaker 1: tweet about the show, uh during production and after production,
- 28:47Speaker 1: like this is the most dramatic show season ever, stuff
- 28:50Speaker 1: happening that we've never seen before, Like this hasn't been
- 28:53Speaker 1: said yet and usually has already been said because it
- 28:57Speaker 1: usually happens during filming, and it's been a very quiet filming,
- 29:01Speaker 1: Like nobody's talking about it, nobody's even hinting at stuff.
- 29:05Speaker 1: There's even no rumors spreading around. It's kind of wild
- 29:08Speaker 1: how quiet people have been about this upcoming season, and
- 29:12Speaker 1: that makes me nervous. I wish I had something to
- 29:16Speaker 1: add here, but I don't. Yeah, that's the way it is. Well,
- 29:19Speaker 1: we'll be back next week talking more about this. We'll
- 29:21Speaker 1: get more info for you, we'll start teasing this season.
- 29:24Speaker 1: We're gonna be as honest with you as we possibly
- 29:26Speaker 1: can be. Basically just scheming how we can make it interesting. Yeah, exactly.
- 29:31Speaker 1: We're going to figure out a way to make this
- 29:32Speaker 1: next season of the Bachelor one that you cannot miss
- 29:35Speaker 1: because you've got to be here hanging out with us,
- 29:38Speaker 1: talking with us, catching up on life. Well, until next time,
- 29:40Speaker 1: I've been been, I've been Ashley. I can't wait till
