- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: The liberal globalist order is on its brink and awakening a new conservative age.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_00]: Dr. Steve Turley, join me every day as we discover answers to today's toughest challenges and explore the re-bondalization of conservative civilization.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_00]: This is Turley Talks.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: He's back and Democrats aren't gonna like it.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I'm allowed to be here.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, I'm allowed to be here.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_02]: No, you're not.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_02]: Are you Muslim?
- 0:27[SPEAKER_00]: What happens when alone independent journalists walks up to the gates of an Islamic city being built in the middle of Texas and gets confronted by the very ones under investigation.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_00]: The answer is unfolding right now in Colin and Hunt Counties, and what's emerging isn't just a land dispute.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_00]: It's a pattern of intimidation, secrecy, and alleged fraud that state and federal investigators have been closing in on for over a year.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_00]: And it looks like they're about to put a stop to all of this once and for all.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, gang, it's me, Dr. Steve, your patron professor.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: And today we're diving in to one of the most explosive stories brewing in the Lone Star State, Epic City.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's a proposed 402 acre master plan community out in Josephine, Texas, Strattling, Colin, and Hunt counties.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_00]: The project is bankrolled and organized by the East Plano Islamic Center, one of the largest mosques in North Texas through a private entity called Community Capital Partners.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_00]: The pitch over a thousand homes, a K-12 faith-based school, a community college, retail space, and of course, a mosque all built around Islamic principles.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: Developers insist it's open
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: who wants to buy in.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: But here's where things get interesting.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: Independent journalists, Nick Shirley, the same guy who's made a career out of walking straight into controversial situations with nothing but a camera and some blunt questions, decided to go see Epic City for himself.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: He showed up, he filmed, he was peaceful, and within minutes.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_01]: he was surrounded and then uh there's also a big federal investigation i think by the DOJR by the FBI as far as there was a concern that sharia law may be taking place here and they did a full then they did a what i'm not lying i'm talking about the investigation that happened
- 2:29[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not lying.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_01]: There was an investigation that found that no sharia law was taking place with the investigation.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_01]: What do you mean am I allowed to be here?
- 2:38[SPEAKER_01]: Of course I'm allowed to be here.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so I can't be on this part.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_01]: I can't be on this side of the street.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_03]: You need to be on the other side of the rope or on the cycle.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_01]: Just because of the proper property, yes.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_01]: So like they can kick me off, the must, like, you know, I understand.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_03]: But I'm just wondering why.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_01]: All right, I got you.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_01]: All right, you guys just cut kicked off of the must property, I guess.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_04]: All right, you guys doing?
- 3:19[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, is that the cron?
- 3:21[SPEAKER_04]: Thanks.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_01]: Are you Muslim?
- 3:23[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I just got moved off and they told me I had to come on this side of the sidewalk.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, guys, we've already got kicked off the property of the loss.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be weird.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: It is weird, especially given that this Islamic development is claiming to be fully welcoming an inclusive of everyone, right, every American citizen.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: So why is an American citizen being told to leave by people who are clearly not from here, who are clearly foreign-born?
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: Moreover, if they're innocent,
- 4:04[SPEAKER_00]: Why not invite him in?
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: Why not answer questions?
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: Why chase him away?
- 4:08[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, last time that happened, it was certainly for good reason.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: It was to prevent the exposure of a, shall we say, some rather nefarious activity in Minneapolis, right?
- 4:19[SPEAKER_00]: Now, next confrontation didn't happen in vacuum.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: This community has been the subject of jaw-dropping scrutiny for well over a year.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: Texas Governor Greg Abbott launched a full-scale investigation 12 state agencies simultaneously looked into epic operations and issued a cease and desist order after discovering epic had been operating an unlicensed funeral home on its premises.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_00]: In Plano, Texas, Attorney General Ken Paxton, filed a civil investigative demand, Senator John Corn and also got involved, he called on the DOJ to investigate, HUD launched a fair housing act investigation in February because as it turns out, you know, selling homes exclusively to members of one religion happens to be a federal civil rights violation.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_00]: But in June of 2025, the Department of Justice actually closed its federal civil rights investigation in the center, saying that the community capital partners, that's the company that's financing the venture, had affirmed in writing that the development would be open to everyone regardless of faith, and that that satisfied their fair housing act obligations.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_00]: Epic City supporters celebrated this as a total of indication.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_00]: And then in April of 2026, a Travis County judge actually cited with the developers and ordered the Texas workforce commission to process ethics fair housing paperwork can Pakistan's office immediately appealed and they got the ruling frozen at the 15th Court of Appeal.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: So as things stand right now,
- 5:58[SPEAKER_00]: Epixity is has come to a halt.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's not being built, construction remains blocked again as of now.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: But Texans aren't waiting around on the courts or politicians.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: They're taking things into their own hands and in ways that no one ever imagined.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: But first gang, if you love books and you've ever seriously looked into making some really good money from home, I mean, actually look, not just wondered about it.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: This is for you because right now today, there are people pulling five, 10, 15,000 dollars a month out of a 30 billion dollar market.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_00]: You've walked past your entire life without even noticing.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: I'm talking about used books.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_00]: And the only reason they can do it is a pricing gap sitting right in the middle of that market.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: Real, documented, and almost nobody's looking at it.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: So here's the gap.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_00]: The same book, same title, same edition, same condition, you name it, is worth meaningfully different amounts depending on where it's listed.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: That's it.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_00]: That's the whole thing.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: And people with no finance background and no tech background learned to spot it and act on it.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: From a laptop at their kitchen table, now here's the part that got me.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: You never actually handle a single physical book, not one.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_00]: No inventory in the garage, no packing tape, no trips to the post office, no physical logistics whatsoever.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: The whole thing runs in your browser.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: You find the opportunity, you make a few clicks, and then somebody else handles the fulfillment completely.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: And this is an aside hustle just, you know, to pad the grocery budget, people running this full time.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: A number of them walked away from jobs they never liked.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm hosting a free training where my special guest is going to lay out the entire system, how the gap forms, how you find it exactly what you do.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_00]: The moment you got one in front of you, start to finish, no theory, no filler.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_00]: go to bkprofit.com slash turlet.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: Click the link below, type it in your browser, scan the QR code on your screen, and reserve your free seat right now.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_00]: Again, if you love books and you want to make some real cash from home, this is it.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, and you're going to absolutely love it.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: Click on that link below right now.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_00]: In March, Texas Republican primary voters were handed a ballot question.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: Proposition 10, asking where the state should ban Sharia law from being used in any Texas quarter government proceeding.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: a jaw-dropping 94.8% of Republican primary voters voted yes 94.8% in the state of 30 million people most of whom are Republicans.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_00]: From Amarillo to Corpus Christi from El Pasadobomont, the verdict of the Texas electorate was delivered with clarity and finality.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: This is American soil.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: And American law and only American law applies here, period and discussion.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_00]: Full stop as a certain auto pen justice would say.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: What we're watching in Texas is a live test case for how far organizations can go to build parallel, insular communities under the banner of religious liberty, while dodging the same transparency and accountability every other developer in America has to follow.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: Texas bill Texas House bill 4211 passed in 2025.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: Now explicitly bans any residential development from restricting home sales based on religion.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_00]: That law exists precisely because of epic city.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: I mean whatever you think about the mosque's ultimate intentions that alone tells you that law makers saw a real gap that needed closing.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: What we're seeing play out here is a radically cultural form of politics known as civilization populism.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_00]: We've talked about this a lot on this channel and it's reshaping the entire landscape of western democracies and ways that really, not going to the left nor the establishment right fully understand yet.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: This isn't your grandfather's culture war, right?
- 10:22[SPEAKER_00]: This isn't an argument about tax rates or regulatory policy.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: This is something far deeper.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's a civilizational reckoning.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: People across the Western world are waking up to the fact that their way of life, their history, their faith, their families.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: They're very,
- 10:40[SPEAKER_00]: Identity as a people is not guaranteed.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: It has to be defended.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: Civilizational populism says borders matter, culture matters, heritage matters.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_00]: And when institutions, like the universities, or the media, the courts, the administrative state, when they stop serving the civilization that built them,
- 11:03[SPEAKER_00]: The people have not just the right, but indeed the duty to reclaim them.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_00]: And what's so extraordinary about this moment is that this is an affringe movement.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you're watching it govern, you're watching it legislate, you're watching it reshape courts and shut down rogue institutions and defense, sovereign borders and project military power and defense of Western strategic interests.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_00]: This is civilizational populism, not in theory, but in action.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_00]: And then that brings us full circle with what Nick Shirley's doing.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_00]: next video matters because it's the human on the ground confirmation of everything the paperwork already suggested.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: You can read a hundred press releases about securities violations and open meetings law, but watching a peaceful reporter get chased off a property because he's not a Muslim?
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: Are you kidding me?
- 11:58[SPEAKER_00]: That's the kind of footage that cuts through the spin instantly.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's exactly the kind of grassroots independent journalism.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_00]: That's forcing institutions, state agencies, courts even HUD to keep digging.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_00]: When the easy path would have been just a look away after the DOJ closed file last summer.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously this story is an over, a securities fraud lawsuit is still working its way through Colin County Courts, Hud's fair housing investigation is still ongoing, and now thanks to independent journalists like Nick refusing to just take press releases of face value.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_00]: The entire public is getting to see exactly how Epic City's leadership behaves when nobody is supposed to be watching.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_00]: So keep your eyes on this one because between the courtrooms and Colin County and the cameras on the ground, Epic City isn't just a Texas story anymore.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's becoming a national test case for whether transparency laws actually mean anything when religious institutions would deep pockets and political allies try to build their own rules.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: And if Nick Shirley's treatment on that property tells us anything, it's at the people running this project, still have a lot of explaining to do.
