- 0:02Everybody, welcome to the live stream.
- 0:04Welcome to the basement. Things are getting interesting.
- 0:08Gold is setting new records. Silver is struggling a little
- 0:13bit today. We'll touch on that.
- 0:15But guys we got to look at the big deal going on right now and
- 0:19that is that things are changing like we've never experienced
- 0:24before. One big key take away we want to
- 0:26remember about what is going on right now in the gold market is
- 0:32that this record high level that we are approaching or that we
- 0:37are in, we've set records on daily basis.
- 0:39We've set records on weekly basis.
- 0:42This is a huge, huge deal and don't you worry silver stackers,
- 0:47silver will follow. Remember, silver always follows
- 0:52gold. But think about this.
- 0:53I had a couple things I want to cover regarding this recent big
- 0:57move in the gold price. OK, everything out there seems
- 1:02to be at all time highs right now.
- 1:04If you notice that. Well I think the stock market's
- 1:07doing a little cruddy today, but basically the S&P 500's at an
- 1:10all time high. Bitcoin is at an all time high,
- 1:14you know, Real estate prices are at an all time high, and now we
- 1:19have gold at an all time high. But what's different about gold?
- 1:22A couple things, #1 gold's all time high That it's at right now
- 1:29is a very recent phenomena, #1 and #2.
- 1:35If you adjust it for inflation, which we need to do really, the
- 1:39all time high in gold is closer to like $3500 per oz.
- 1:44So we've got a lot of room. That's the take away there.
- 1:47We've got a lot of room to run for gold.
- 1:50Now when we talk about silver, we get, I mean it's crazy.
- 1:53You got to realize this about silver.
- 1:56Silver is so undervalued right now.
- 2:00Silver's all time high. And I'll credit coin shop,
- 2:02Chris, the one and only for doing this research a month or
- 2:05so back that like if you adjust the $50 all time high in silver,
- 2:09which was what 1980, it's like $187.00 an ounce right now.
- 2:14So guys, we've got a lot of room to run in silver, but we're
- 2:18going to talk a little more about gold today, right, because
- 2:23gold will lead the way and gold is leading the way.
- 2:27Just before I came on, we had gold up $12.00 per oz.
- 2:30I think I see the S&P 500 down about 1%.
- 2:34Remember Remember right, the bubble in the stock market, the
- 2:39bubble in the real estate market and the the the rest of the
- 2:42bubble that's left in the bond market when that money starts to
- 2:45leave, right? Remember extras pyramid.
- 2:48Don't worry, I won't pull that up.
- 2:49But all that money, all that fake synthetic right stock
- 2:53market, all the debt, the corporate debt, really the bond
- 2:57market. I mean, you do realize, right,
- 2:59that the bond market is like multiple times bigger than the
- 3:02stock market as money continues to leave that in just a little
- 3:07bit of it, just 10% of it comes into gold and silver.
- 3:10We can have major, major changes.
- 3:13But I want you to think about this with gold.
- 3:15OK. Thank you, Neil.
- 3:16Wow, thank you for that super chat, my friend.
- 3:20This recent price run, right? And platinum will follow.
- 3:23Neil's a big platinum and I love platinum too.
- 3:27OK. All these metals will follow
- 3:29gold. But this most recent move that
- 3:30we had in gold, it wasn't like it was because of a sudden
- 3:34geopolitical event. Now we've talked about
- 3:36geopolitics mean a lot for the precious metals prizes, but this
- 3:40move was based on economic reality.
- 3:45Fundamentals are what are is driving the gold price right
- 3:49now. Technicals, right.
- 3:52We pulled up the big cup and handle.
- 3:53There's a cup and handle. Silver and gold.
- 3:56Investors, there's a cup and handle.
- 3:59Make sure I got the mic up and you guys can hear me.
- 4:01There's a cup and handle here, right?
- 4:06Remember, that's a cup. There's my daughter's when they
- 4:08were little. Anyway, that goes like this.
- 4:13There's a cup and handle in the gold market.
- 4:16Like that's the technical side. This this most recent run is not
- 4:20based, it's critical we understand that on just someone
- 4:24off event some new war, right. Although you know when that
- 4:28happens and we don't like war that does push up the price of
- 4:31the metals. This has been based on reality
- 4:34basic mathematics things like D dollarization.
- 4:38I was just talking with Michael Mahari, right.
- 4:40He's the editor at the the 10th Amendment center.
- 4:44Super smart guy. You got to watch the interview I
- 4:47did with him. I'll put it out here in a couple
- 4:49days. And he was talking about just
- 4:52the unbelievable forces right now that are holding up the gold
- 4:56price. I won't spoil it.
- 4:58I'll let you watch it. But guys, this is not a
- 5:00temporary phenomena. I believe in my heart that we
- 5:05are in a new paradigm, a new weather pattern for the gold
- 5:10price, for the silver price, OK, If you think we're in a new
- 5:14weather pattern and you want to get your hands on some silver,
- 5:17gold or platinum, please check out our channel sponsor, Pinbex.
- 5:21They make this possible, right? Without Pinbex, without their
- 5:24support, I wouldn't be able to be on here every day talking to
- 5:28you. They're a company I worked with
- 5:30long before they sponsored the channel.
- 5:33I think. Throw them into the mix next
- 5:35time. You're looking for some precious
- 5:37metals, right? You'll find great prizes, great
- 5:40service, and a great reputation. But don't take my word for it.
- 5:45Discover it for yourself. You can go to Pinbex, Pi, MB, E,
- 5:49xpinbex.com. They can also help with IRA
- 5:53rollovers. When you go to Pinbex, I think
- 5:56what you'll find is you get the same metal and you get more
- 6:01metal for your money. Let's move on.
- 6:05We are no longer fringe. You're no longer a fringe
- 6:10character. OK, basement dweller, we are
- 6:13moving into the mainstream. We always were silver and gold
- 6:17investors. We always were in the
- 6:18mainstream. We've got like 5000 years of
- 6:21history on our side. This is a new reality.
- 6:24Even the mainstream media is starting to to to to to pick up
- 6:30on what's going on and it's it's accelerating new all time highs.
- 6:35We can't talk about this enough. Let me ask you a question.
- 6:40How many of you bought gold for $2300 and are sitting around
- 6:45saying if gold ever gets to $2300 I'm going to get out and
- 6:48get all my money back. I'm going to sell, sell.
- 6:51No, nobody has. We are in new territory.
- 6:54Everyone who owns gold and bought it in U.S. dollars right
- 7:00now, right, is in the money. Okay.
- 7:03They're not going to want to sell.
- 7:04Why would they sell? They're feeling good.
- 7:06They're feeling like, hey, you know and we spent like what 14
- 7:10weeks building a base at $2000, basically 2002 thousand.
- 7:16We dipped below 2000 for a couple days.
- 7:18We are in new territory for gold and silver.
- 7:23I know it's hard for us, it's hard for you maybe as a silver
- 7:25and gold investor to accept that fact, but I believe we are now.
- 7:29Look, I could be wrong. Thank you, Tim.
- 7:32Wow, thank you, Tim for that. Super Chat says buy F FM GF that
- 7:36is, guys. First, my name Gold, who's a
- 7:40sponsor of Ron's Basement. I just put on an interview I did
- 7:43with the CEO, Dan Wilton. It's a stock I own.
- 7:47I'm not giving financial advice, but I like the fact that they
- 7:50have two 5 million oz development stage projects in
- 7:54Canada in the ground. If I'm not going to hold the
- 7:57metal here, right, then you know what?
- 8:00I like the fact that the company I own holds a ton of metal
- 8:04buried safely tucked away in the ground in Canada.
- 8:07And they're working hard moving these projects through the
- 8:12development stage, through the permitting stage.
- 8:14And there's going to be a big shortage of available gold
- 8:18projects. Same thing with silver.
- 8:20Mike Mahari and I were talking about that earlier.
- 8:23Oh, we got 100 likes. I got to ring the bell first,
- 8:27Jake when I need him. Jake, You guys.
- 8:29Yesterday, Jake from Jake's Custom Parts was here.
- 8:31What a great guide. Just a great example of the
- 8:34wonderful people that are in the Silver and gold community.
- 8:37I'm sure Jake is on here this morning.
- 8:39Hey, tomorrow, big announcement. Tomorrow's live stream.
- 8:43I'm going to be joined by the one and only.
- 8:46Got a special treat for you tomorrow, Wednesday.
- 8:49Patrick Holland from the Missouri Freedom Initiative and
- 8:52I just saw his name pass by. So we are super excited to have
- 8:56Pat here in the basement. But Mike Mahari, who's a friend
- 8:59of Pat's and I thought I should have known it was an awesome
- 9:02guy. We had this great conversation
- 9:05and he he pointed out, he said. I think the prospects for silver
- 9:08are even more exciting than gold and gold's plenty exciting.
- 9:12We aren't saying anything bad about gold.
- 9:14We love gold, but the prospects for silver are unbelievable.
- 9:19OK, let's take a quick look guys, at what the mainstream
- 9:24media is saying right now about gold.
- 9:29CNBC right when they're talking about gold on CNBC.
- 9:32Headline gold rises above $2100 to its highest level ever as
- 9:38traders bet on interest rate cuts.
- 9:41Now let's go down here and see what they said when adjusted for
- 9:46inflation. This is interesting.
- 9:48Remember, gold has a long way to run.
- 9:51Gold set an all time high of about $3200.
- 9:56Yes, that's $3200 in 1980 according to Peter Bachmar,
- 10:02chief investment officer at Bleakley Bleakley.
- 10:05That's not a very good name for it.
- 10:06Isn't it Like bleak? Like a bleak outlook?
- 10:08Well anyway, Bleakley Financial Group, he says, quote, we're
- 10:12still a ways away, which then also points to potential upside,
- 10:18said Buchvar, who believes gold will also test the inflation
- 10:23adjusted record. So we like Mr. Bleakley 'cause
- 10:26he's telling us we can get to $3200 gold.
- 10:29Now, I said $2600 gold in the thumbnail for this video and I
- 10:35believe, and I'll stand by my call, I said we'd have $2600
- 10:39gold by May. We'll see how that all plays
- 10:41out. Let's read that, 'cause there is
- 10:43some bad news in this article. The Vanek, the gold miners did
- 10:49well when adjusted for inflation.
- 10:51We just talked about that. You can imagine the mentality of
- 10:55China, Saudi Arabia and other countries saying, do we really
- 10:59want all of our assets in U.S. Treasuries?
- 11:02OK, what he's talking about are all the foreign countries that
- 11:06are moving now right there. That is right there moving
- 11:10their, their, their, their, their reserves out of dollars
- 11:15and into gold. And we've got to remember this
- 11:19is happening. This is what's crazy.
- 11:21This is what Will, I've got a big exclusive for you here in
- 11:24just a few minutes regarding what's really going on in quote,
- 11:29UN quote interest rate cuts and you may not agree with me.
- 11:32That's OK. We're going to cover it here in
- 11:34a little bit. But the United States is in a
- 11:36position right now where it needs to borrow more and more
- 11:41and more money from the world, right?
- 11:43The 34 trillion and growing the deficit just at a time when the
- 11:49world is saying, number one, we don't like how you weaponize the
- 11:53dollar. So we don't want to buy your
- 11:54treasuries and we are capable, right?
- 11:58China, the rest of the East, the bricks, the bricks.
- 12:01Plus Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Iran, Saudi
- 12:06Arabia, Egypt, Ethiopia and the United Arab Emirates.
- 12:09And 30 more countries that want it, excuse me, join, they're all
- 12:13saying we don't really want your debt.
- 12:15We're in the spiral, guys. It's not good.
- 12:18It's not a good situation. The countries of the world are
- 12:21moving their money to things like gold.
- 12:24OK, okay? He says.
- 12:25The expectation here is that inflation will likely moderate
- 12:28over time as the economy weakens, and that will give
- 12:31latitude to the Fed to get serious about cutting rates.
- 12:35Traders are betting the Fed will cut rates in June.
- 12:38I'm going to go out on a limb and you're going to think I'm
- 12:40crazy. And that's Okay because you
- 12:42won't be alone. I don't think they're going to
- 12:45cut rates, but I'll tell you why that could actually be very good
- 12:49for the gold price. We're going to cover that in a
- 12:52little bit. The bad news is here is he
- 12:54points out like let's say the payrolls come in stronger than
- 12:57people think. And I guess we're probably going
- 13:00to get that here on Friday. I believe we'll get the February
- 13:03payroll number. All bets are off.
- 13:05And I think we could give up a lot of what we gain.
- 13:08That's the big one. Wow.
- 13:10So I'll have to look it up. I don't know if do we or maybe
- 13:12somebody can put it in the comments.
- 13:14Are we going to get the payroll number on Friday?
- 13:18I'm not sure. OK, I'm not.
- 13:20I guess I'm not doing a good job.
- 13:21There's only so much research I can do.
- 13:23So somebody look that one up and let us know.
- 13:26OK. Around the world right now,
- 13:30central bankers are becoming more informed.
- 13:33Institutional money managers are becoming more informed.
- 13:39OK, Remember, the central banks of the world are buying a record
- 13:43amount of gold. We say that every single day.
- 13:45They're the insiders. They're the ones that know they
- 13:48know what's going on. But right, right.
- 13:52What about Stanley Druckenmiller?
- 13:53What about the guy from Elliott? Big smart hedge fund managers
- 13:58are moving into precious metal related investments.
- 14:02Druckenmiller, right? He's the bomb baby, right?
- 14:05He's moved into, he sold some traditional tech and moved his
- 14:10some money, some money, right into the gold mining sector.
- 14:15It's happening. It's happening right now every
- 14:18OK. This country was built on silver
- 14:23and gold. I just had to throw that in
- 14:25there guys. This Mirage that we've been
- 14:28living under for the last 50 years since they took us off the
- 14:31gold standard, our country. And if you look out through
- 14:35history, any country that ever achieved quote, UN quote
- 14:39greatness, it was exclusively done during periods of time when
- 14:45there was gold and silver backing the money, right.
- 14:49We we suffer from some people call it recency bias.
- 14:52Some people call it normalcy bias, right?
- 14:54We forget, you know, my whole life silver and gold, right?
- 14:57Have not backed the money. But throughout the history,
- 15:00throughout long periods of time. That's what's going on.
- 15:03Now the warning. I have to warn you, OK, Because
- 15:08I'm a little worried about this. I'm a worry wart.
- 15:11I'll do the worrying for you. But are we going to see a beat
- 15:15down in the metals? Are we going to see the day?
- 15:18Could it be Friday? Right.
- 15:19Oh, we've had great employment numbers.
- 15:21Everything's wonder. You know, why Donomics is
- 15:24working. We'd we created 16,000,000 jobs
- 15:28during the month of February. I don't know.
- 15:30It'd be interesting to see how this plays out.
- 15:32But don't rule out. And I don't want to be a
- 15:36negative, Nelly, because you know I love gold and you know
- 15:39I'm calling for gold, $2600 by May for you and me, right.
- 15:43And for that old bear, there he is, him right there.
- 15:47But we'll have to see how it plays out, because the powers
- 15:50that be don't like gold and silver.
- 15:54Are we at the pivot point? Are we at the point right now
- 15:57where they've lost control? Have we, have we entered a new,
- 16:03a new paradigm? Has the tide turned?
- 16:05We're going to find out. It's going to be a crazy rest of
- 16:09the year. And you know, I'll be here with
- 16:10you through it all for all of that.
- 16:12OK, So what happened yesterday? It's all a bunch of it.
- 16:17It's all but I asked. I asked.
- 16:20I asked my new friend Michael earlier from the 10th Amendment
- 16:24Center. I said, is it just me or is the
- 16:26Fed become more of just a public relations firm?
- 16:30Because that's what happened yesterday.
- 16:31There's all this, it's not even worth trying to figure out,
- 16:34right? Repo.
- 16:35Reverse repo. Yesterday was this big deal.
- 16:38Let me read this to you quickly. Fed Bostick was a little
- 16:42hawkish, but not hawkish. The Atlanta Fed president noted
- 16:46third quarter rate cut likely to be followed by a pause.
- 16:49Blah, blah, blah. What?
- 16:50I'm telling you, this is the meat of what's going on.
- 16:53This is the meat. This is a this is an exclusive.
- 16:56And you don't have to agree with me, OK?
- 16:58You don't have to agree with me. But the Fed is becoming nothing
- 17:02but noise. Silver and gold are realizing
- 17:06that right now they're calling the bluff.
- 17:10OK, right. Silver and gold have been around
- 17:14for 5000 years, right? The oldest markets in the world.
- 17:18So I ask you this question, right?
- 17:20What comes with age? Wisdom.
- 17:23Silver and gold are anticipatory markets.
- 17:26They realize the Fed is in. the US economy, unfortunately has
- 17:31gotten itself to a point where we're almost in a a bad spiral.
- 17:35I don't like it. I'm not in favor of it.
- 17:38I didn't make these decisions. I'm the kind of guy, and I'm
- 17:41sure you are too, right? You try to spend less than you
- 17:44bring in. Unfortunately, our leaders in
- 17:46Washington didn't do that. Gold and silver are calling the
- 17:50bluff right now. And you know what that bluff is
- 17:53going to be calling that bluff is going to look like.
- 17:55It's going to look like continued record highs in the
- 17:59silver price and the gold price. But here's the here's the here's
- 18:03this controversial statement that I'm going to make, OK, I
- 18:08don't think that the Fed is really going to cut rates now
- 18:13before you throw eggs at me, before you get mad.
- 18:17It's still going to be a very, very excellent environment for
- 18:22the gold price and the silver price.
- 18:24And why would I say that? Because of the Fed.
- 18:27The the Fed is going to all the debt.
- 18:30All the financial shenanigans that have gone on are going to
- 18:33require that rates are high if we want anybody to buy our debt.
- 18:39And if they don't do that and the Fed prints money to buy the
- 18:43debt, they're going to be further, even in a more
- 18:46exaggerated way, diluting the US dollar, right?
- 18:51More inflation. It comes down to this.
- 18:54I'm going to see if I can, if you can understand what I'm
- 18:56saying. What it really comes down to our
- 18:59real interest rates. How does inflation relate to the
- 19:03prevailing interest rate? And if we have rates, let's say
- 19:07this is the rate at 5%, right? But inflation goes up and up and
- 19:12the Fed never cuts rates, right? The feds.
- 19:14Oh well, we're not the feds going to keep remaining tough.
- 19:17But inflation, the real number, not the BLS, not the, not the
- 19:22Bureau of Labor and Statistics number.
- 19:25But the real number goes up, up, up, up, up.
- 19:28Inflation could be higher even if they leave rates where they
- 19:32are, negative real interest rates.
- 19:35Gold's calling the bluff right now.
- 19:39What's the difference? OK, if inflation goes is up
- 19:43here, maybe just a little bit higher and they do cut rates, we
- 19:46still have negative real interest rates either way.
- 19:51Either way, guys, the math doesn't work for the system, OK?
- 19:57Nobody nobody wants is going to want the Treasuries.
- 20:01People realize, people of the world realize it's an
- 20:04interesting environment that we're that we're moving into.
- 20:07Hey, I want to say thank you to channel sponsor Fortuna Silver.
- 20:11They'll be announcing their fourth quarter earnings
- 20:13tomorrow. I'm super excited about that.
- 20:16Their name says Fortuna Silver and they are a silver mining
- 20:20company. That's where they got their
- 20:21roots almost 20 years ago, but now they're actually producing
- 20:25more gold. They have 5 producing mines.
- 20:28Let's see if I can remember them.
- 20:30One in Argentina, one in Mexico. The Mexican mine is a silver
- 20:35mine, Argentina is gold. Another silver mine in Peru.
- 20:38They have a gold mine in Burkina Faso.
- 20:40And the 5th mine is their newest mine, the Seguela Mine, a gold
- 20:45mine that's located in the Ivory Coast in West Africa.
- 20:49And they have a new exciting development stage exploration
- 20:52project, Dion Basud, which is in Senegal.
- 20:57OK, check them out. Fortuna silver.com.
- 21:00Again, I'm not giving financial advice.
- 21:03Those are stocks that I own. I'm not going to ever take a
- 21:06sponsorship from a company unless I've got my own skin in
- 21:10the game. And trust me, I got skin in the
- 21:13game on that one. OK, here.
- 21:16I wrote this with the exclamation points for you.
- 21:19OK, I know you might think I'm crazy.
- 21:23We we could the Fed could raise rates and we could still see
- 21:26gold and silver skyrocket. It comes down to real rates.
- 21:30Higher inflation, OK, with no rate cut is the same thing as a
- 21:35rate cut. With lower inflation, it's six
- 21:38or one half dozen. The other, this is this is
- 21:42Iran's basement exclusive. Listen to me.
- 21:44Sounded like a bit of a narcissist there, aren't I?
- 21:47You watch this will be the case in one year.
- 21:49People will be saying how gold has done so well with no rate
- 21:55cuts. That's because the Fed is in a
- 21:58box. the Fed is in a box. OK, guys, it's basic math
- 22:04because of the $34 trillion debt load.
- 22:06And that's just the US government, OK?
- 22:09It's not considering corporate debt, household debt.
- 22:13It's spiral time. The hens are coming home to
- 22:17roost and they're going to be laying silver and gold eggs.
- 22:22Plus, it's an election year. We forget about that.
- 22:25That's kind of been pushed off to the side, right?
- 22:27They're going to be printing money like no tomorrow.
- 22:31They're going to be saying things like those Democratic
- 22:33senators that want to give us all $5000 a tax credit, which is
- 22:38basically giving you $5000 to buy products that are made in
- 22:42America. Hey, sounds good to me.
- 22:44You know I'm going to buy American Silver Eagles with my
- 22:47$5000. They're made in America.
- 22:49Hey, thank you for that super shat.
- 22:51Are there any precious metal mining companies that provide
- 22:56wow 200 likes Got to Ring the Bell physical certificates.
- 23:07That's a great question that I'm not great at answering.
- 23:09Odd wad DOB 85, I think. I'm not giving financial advice,
- 23:15but there is a way that you can still get physical certificates
- 23:19for stock but don't. I would call Fidelity or
- 23:23Vanguard or Charles Schwab and ask them if that's the case, OK.
- 23:27There's some people I know that are fervent believers in this,
- 23:31you know, risk of owning stocks in a brokerage account.
- 23:36That's not an area of my expertise, so I'm not going to
- 23:39give a definitive answer on that one.
- 23:41But I do believe there's a way that you can get the physical
- 23:44certificates. OK, let's talk about this real
- 23:47quick. I want to pull up another
- 23:49article for you. And here just another headline.
- 23:54No wrong 1 from 0. Hedge gold and Bitcoin close at
- 24:00record highs as bonds and stocks dip.
- 24:02And we're seeing that again today.
- 24:05Let's go. Let's go over here and check out
- 24:09the gold price. Guys, hold on here.
- 24:12Let's see where gold is right now.
- 24:14Go gold. OK, Come on, gold.
- 24:18Come on, baby, Up, $15. All right, basement dwellers,
- 24:23I'm telling you, I know silver's getting a little bit of a of a
- 24:26hammering today. We're going to be OK, 2128.
- 24:31Wow, that is absolutely awesome. The quiet macro day.
- 24:39I love this. Let's the grown-ups play talking
- 24:43about silver and gold. And today saw gold and Bitcoin
- 24:48roar up the record closing highs.
- 24:50All the eyes and ears and algos remain glued to hints of QE.
- 24:55This is what I mean. I don't even pay attention to
- 24:58this. It this smoke and mirror.
- 24:59Sorry, sorry, Fed. I don't even.
- 25:02I don't play your game anymore. Right.
- 25:03You're APR Firm hints of QE. What's a reverse twist, right.
- 25:09Look, we have the mental capacity to learn what it is,
- 25:11but whatever Waller Reserve and Fred's Bostick said today.
- 25:18I mean, they're just it's just become a joke.
- 25:21It's become a complete joke. OK, I'm sorry.
- 25:23I know you want to see me again. Here's what I wrote.
- 25:28Bostic was hawkish and the are are dovish Who knows And the
- 25:32market for gold. It's party time.
- 25:36Then I said WTF is a reverse twist.
- 25:39QEI mean it's all a bunch of wants you to put up the death
- 25:43clock if you need. OK yes, Pat, I'll put up the
- 25:48death clock. Absolutely.
- 25:49I'll. I'll do that here before I get
- 25:51off. OK.
- 25:53And I'll tell you who gets it are central bankers.
- 25:56Who gets what's going on right now in the world economy?
- 26:02The world central bankers get what's going on.
- 26:05And you know who else gets it? You get it, OK, you get it.
- 26:09And you know who else gets it? A growing number of states in
- 26:11the United States that are in the process of either passing or
- 26:15considering legal tender legislation, that's who gets it
- 26:19all right. Central bank still buying the
- 26:24most in in recent history. Think about that.
- 26:27I've did it. You know, we talked about the
- 26:28central bank gold buying all the time.
- 26:31The amount that they bought in 2022 and a little bit less in
- 26:352023 is record levels since like the 1950s.
- 26:41OK, the 1950s when the world was on the gold standard.
- 26:47OK, think about that. Wouldn't that kind of tell us
- 26:51we're back on the gold standard or maybe heading in that
- 26:54direction? I would think so.
- 26:57Central banks bought more gold since 1950.
- 27:01They bought less gold in a lot of the years when we were
- 27:05officially on the gold standard, right?
- 27:07The 1944 Bretton Woods agreement, right when anybody
- 27:11could, could redeem dollars for physical gold until the French
- 27:15Charles de Gaulle ruined it for everybody, 'cause he was like,
- 27:18hey, we'll take gold, we're going to send some boats over.
- 27:21And Nixon said no, and they wanted to print.
- 27:24That's a whole different story, OK?
- 27:26It's just absolutely crazy what's going on?
- 27:28We're going to go look at the debt clock because when Pat
- 27:31Holland asked Ron's basement answer.
- 27:34So let's go to the US debt clock.
- 27:36And you know, I've got a great live stream that you can watch a
- 27:41recording of from last Friday with Ted, from Ted Speaks where
- 27:45he went over some fascinating things going on on the Det
- 27:49clock. Really some great educational
- 27:52material. Let's go.
- 27:54Are we up? Make sure I got this set up
- 27:57right. All right.
- 27:58No, I don't. Welcome to Ron's basement.
- 28:04The world of tech. There we go.
- 28:06You guys should see the debt clock right now in my big orange
- 28:09finger. OK.
- 28:11Oh, my gosh. Can you believe that?
- 28:13Hey, maybe we should stay on the live stream until we get the 34
- 28:181/2 trillion dollars. Wow.
- 28:21I mean, look at that. Let's see how long it takes for
- 28:24100,600. Seven, 100,800 thousand, 900
- 28:34thousand. Wow.
- 28:35And if you're a taxpayer in the United States, congratulations,
- 28:38you owe $266,000 in debt. And that's just the debt that's
- 28:44on the books now. Ted likes to point to this.
- 28:48Currency and credit derivatives, $621 trillion.
- 28:54OK, And that's all backed up by the M2 money supply of $20
- 28:58trillion. And again Ted from Ted speaks as
- 29:01who pointed this out to us. It's very interesting.
- 29:04And the USM two money supply is going down and Susie just texted
- 29:09me. I'm going to Susie if you can
- 29:11hear me, I'm going to turn on my walkie-talkie if you need
- 29:13something. OK.
- 29:17Very interesting. Hello.
- 29:22Can you hear me? Uh oh, did we lose the live
- 29:25stream? Oh, my gosh.
- 29:30If you guys can hear me. Susie, can you hear me?
- 29:34Hold on. Here we go.
- 29:37All right, let's go back to the debt clock, guys.
- 29:39Let's. I'm just curious.
- 29:42Currency and credit derivative, $621 trillion.
- 29:48I'm going to click on that. Yes.
- 29:50Yes, you have a question. Some of you are OK.
- 29:59They gave you a super chat, so maybe you could answer that
- 30:04question. Yes, dear, I will do that.
- 30:08Thank you for pointing that out. And I'll see you later.
- 30:11OK. I wanted to see what this credit
- 30:15current. OK here a derivative or credit
- 30:17default swap CDs is a credit derivative contract between two
- 30:20parties. The buyer wow, receives payoff.
- 30:23So that's the derivatives everything backed up by that
- 30:26little bit of money. Let's run over here guys real
- 30:28quickly And now everybody was all freaked out about and they
- 30:34did a good job. They put arrows on here why the
- 30:37dollar to silver ratio is 0. Remember that was a big, a big a
- 30:44big like drama fest about four months ago.
- 30:48That's because that compares the silver hold on a minute here.
- 30:54If you click on the there we go, OK, the USM two money supply is
- 30:59declining. Like we pointed out down here,
- 31:02OK, is going down. That's why this ratio is 0
- 31:08because it's it compares the year over year increase in the
- 31:12money supply and that's divided by world production of silver.
- 31:17But since the money supply number is negative, that makes
- 31:20that number negative. The fact that the money supply
- 31:22is going down is is is a scary thing.
- 31:26That's only happened, as I understand it, during periods of
- 31:29like depression and bad economic turmoil that went on.
- 31:33Let me go back to the to the mainstream here and see if I can
- 31:38see. I don't see my comments now,
- 31:40Susie, OK, hold on, she said. There was a question that I
- 31:44missed. Hopefully we're still live.
- 31:50Welcome to Ron's basement, everybody.
- 31:53Well, let's do this first. And Susie, if you get that
- 31:56question and want to read it to me through the walkie-talkie,
- 31:59that would be great. Hey, yesterday, our friend Big
- 32:03Tim Silvershire is his YouTube channel.
- 32:06Had Jake bring this to me. This is constitutional silver.
- 32:10See if I can hold that up so you can see it, OK?
- 32:14Or junk Silver. Hold on, Susie.
- 32:16OK, go. Yeah, read it from the text I
- 32:20sent you. OK.
- 32:23All right. We're going to read a question
- 32:24then we're going to talk about gold's at 14th, almost 4, almost
- 32:29$15. Bear with me guys.
- 32:31I want to read this question, Susie texted me.
- 32:35OK, yes, I read that already. Are there are there any precious
- 32:39metal mining companies that you can get the physical
- 32:41certificates from? And I.
- 32:44So I answered that question. The other thing I want to
- 32:46mention is and it's not a stock that I own right now but a very
- 32:50interesting company Fortitude Gold as long as and they're
- 32:55they're in Nevada, it's a company that I'd owned in the
- 32:58past. I think they actually, if they
- 33:00still do it, OK, when they they used to be known as Gold
- 33:03Resource Corporation but they mine gold in Nevada and they had
- 33:07a policy and they pay a dividend where and check on this yourself
- 33:12but where you can get your dividend payment from the
- 33:15company in physical gold and or maybe silver.
- 33:20Greg Patterson was their investor right there.
- 33:22Really a super great guy. And again I'm not sponsored by
- 33:26them. I don't own the stock right now.
- 33:28I did in the past, but a real interesting company.
- 33:31But let's get back to this quick example about constitutional and
- 33:34why and I appreciate Jake pointing that out.
- 33:38Big Tim, hey, Big Tim. The Silvershire sent this to me.
- 33:42So there's a 50 Cent piece, two quarters and four Dimes.
- 33:47OK, it's $1.40 and this is all pre 1965 silver, right?
- 33:53Listen to it. See, it sounds different than
- 33:56change does today because it's made out of 90% silver.
- 34:00What's interesting about the fact that this is $1.40 is that
- 34:04for each $1.00 of pre 1965 silver that you have, there's a
- 34:09dollar right? The 50 Cent piece and two
- 34:12quarters. That's equal to point 715 ounces
- 34:18of silver. There's .715 ounces of silver in
- 34:22this, OK. The $0.40 is also .715% of
- 34:33silver, so if you multiply the $0.40 * .715 you come to an
- 34:39additional .28. So it's .28 ounces of silver
- 34:43there and you add that to the basic .72 ounces of silver in
- 34:49the dollar and you get 1 ounce of silver.
- 34:52So this $1.40 of pre 1965 silver has a one ounce of silver
- 35:00content. Another, simpler way you might
- 35:02do that is get a calculator and multiply 1.4, which is the
- 35:08dollar 40 of face times .715. I hope I didn't murder that and
- 35:14you'll get one ounce. I don't think that I did.
- 35:16All right, guys, we got more to talk about.
- 35:21OK, let's go to this real quick. Just more.
- 35:24You know, this is from Zero Hedge.
- 35:26Bear with me. Here we go.
- 35:29And central bank gold buying, this is, this is from our
- 35:34friends at ANZ Bank, which is Australia, New Zealand Bank,
- 35:37it's I believe the second biggest bank in the country of
- 35:41Australia. They say net central bank gold
- 35:43buying exceeds 1000 tons two straight years.
- 35:47That's according to the commodity analyst and A&Z Bank.
- 35:50Expect central bank gold demand to continue hot for at least the
- 35:55next six years. OK.
- 35:59Emerging market central banks could purchase 600 tons of gold
- 36:02annually until 2030 to take its share in the foreign reserves.
- 36:07At 10%, China will likely occupy the lion's share in the global
- 36:12official gold, gold demand. OK, let's talk about China
- 36:16briefly and then we'll get back to this, guys.
- 36:18China, Chinese people are crazy about this stuff right here.
- 36:23OK? We had a big report come out
- 36:25over the weekend. 800,000 people went to one shopping mall.
- 36:30That's just one shopping mall in China. 800,000 people.
- 36:35Why? Right there wasn't an underwear
- 36:37sale. There wasn't a circus.
- 36:40No, those 800,000 people all showed up to buy gold.
- 36:45Chinese people are the city, the the their central banks.
- 36:49Crazy about gold, right? We know what's going on in the
- 36:52Shanghai Gold Exchange, but the Chinese people themselves are
- 36:56gold crazy. And the Chinese media reporting
- 37:00the interviewing people. Why?
- 37:02Because they don't trust the stock market.
- 37:05Because they don't trust the real estate market.
- 37:08OK, because because they don't trust the banks.
- 37:11They don't trust the currency. They trust gold.
- 37:14Remember 1.4 billion people? I know I say that like 1.4 times
- 37:19a day, but it's so important to remember and we're not even
- 37:22going to talk about what's going on in India with gold and
- 37:27silver. OK, let's read a quote talking
- 37:31about price inflation here here. Depleted trust in the US fixed
- 37:39income assets. That would mean our treasury
- 37:41bonds, treasury bills and the rise of non reserve currencies
- 37:46are other themes that could could support central bank gold
- 37:51purchases. OK.
- 37:53Higher interest rates also lead to dollar strength, right?
- 37:56According to A&Z, about 50% of the decline in Asian Central
- 38:01Bank foreign foreign exchange reserves in 2022 was due to
- 38:07valuation losses. The value of U.S.
- 38:10Treasuries is going down guys in these countries and then it it's
- 38:14a self feeding frenzy just at the time when we're going to
- 38:17need to borrow record amounts of money.
- 38:22The world is saying no thank you.
- 38:24It's AI don't want to be negative, too negative, but it's
- 38:28a but it's a spiral, he says. Here Jim Grant says this
- 38:33generational bear market in bonds in an interview with Odd
- 38:36Bots podcast last summer. He thinks it's the beginning of
- 38:39a long term trend of a weak bond market with higher interest
- 38:43rates that could last decades. And again, right, I'm on going
- 38:48out on a limb here. Even if we have these higher
- 38:52interest rate environment, it doesn't matter.
- 38:55Everybody will freak out and say, oh, that's bad for gold,
- 38:58that's bad for silver. No, because the real inflation
- 39:02rate is going to be higher than the prevailing prevailing
- 39:05interest rate. That will be negative real
- 39:07interest rates, OK. When inflation is higher than
- 39:10the prevailing interest rate, that means you're losing money
- 39:13every year, OK. And that will drive people to
- 39:17gold and silver. And that along with stagflation
- 39:21and everything else going on in the world.
- 39:23OK, here. According to ANZ, the recent run
- 39:28of central bank gold buying could be part of a broader move
- 39:32away from the dollar. The global monetary system is
- 39:35evolving, with emerging markets pushing their own currencies for
- 39:39international payment. China is reportedly settling
- 39:42trades with Russia and RMB and has made clear its intention to
- 39:48internationalize its currency. Other regional players like
- 39:51India are also pushing to settle foreign trade in their own
- 39:55currency. This evolving multi currency
- 39:58system will see a gradual shift in foreign reserve portfolios
- 40:03and gold and silver. I'll throw that in.
- 40:06There is likely to play an important role as this develops.
- 40:11Hey, thank you guys for being here today.
- 40:14Thank you for the Super chats. Super appreciated.
- 40:18Thank you for all the thumbs up, right?
- 40:20I mean, it's a big deal. We are the basement dwellers.
- 40:23You're an awesome community. I'll see you tomorrow.
- 40:26Be nice to yourself. You can.
- 40:28It's a lot easier. I've learned to be nice to other
- 40:31people. When you're nice to yourself,
- 40:32take care of yourself 1st. And then go do a few nice things
- 40:36out there in the world. That's what US basement dwellers
- 40:38do. I'll see you tomorrow.
- 40:40Have a great, great day.
